My grandma is 93 and definitely slowing down; she gave us a scare about a month ago. She wasn't eating (per my uncle she was refusing foods "like a toddler"), was lightheaded, and fell and hit her head. By some miracle she was totally fine other than a pretty nasty gash on her head. No broken bones, no signs of stroke, no concussion. My mom wondered if maybe she's feeling "done" and is letting go. I agreed and said I get it, but I also don't want her days to be scary and painful and full of ambulance rides.
Now I find out she's going to Mexico at the end of the month to visit family. She's stopped refusing food and is looking forward to her trip.
Keeping us guessing! I joked to my stepdad that she's gonna stress out her children like they did to her and he said "Yeah it's payback for the times we each almost burnt down the house."

O'KNUTZY WEEK ‼️‼️ (it's officially the 31st in my time zone so here we go)
credit to @lumosinlove and a special thanks to @oknutzyweek2023 for hosting this week!
Day 1: Cooking Mishaps
Weekly team dinners had been a thing for as long as Finn had been with the Lions. It had been a tradition that had been passed on as players came and went. More often than not it was sort of like a potluck. Everyone brings their own food to share and everyone is told to bring a different thing every week. Desserts fell on Leo, Logan, and Finn this week.
This was good because it meant that Finn and Logan could actually help rather than ‘attempting’ to assist Leo when they have to bring main courses or really anything that wasn’t cookies.
Logan and Finn could handle some cookies. Leo had faith in their abilities to bake cookies. They’d done it before and the house hadn’t caught fire. He was so confident in fact that he left them unsupervised for a whole 10 minutes to shower.
Leo left an organized kitchen with pans, eggs, and milk all set out nicely as Logan read the instructions to Finn. When he came back to the kitchen floor covered in flour, Logan had eggs running down his hair, dough dripping down the cabinets in clumps, and Finn with something that looked suspiciously like vanilla extract making its way down his face. As Leo stepped into the room Logan dropped a large spoon to the floor and Finn hid something that looked like a whisk behind his back quickly.
There was a beat or two before the kitchen erupted into noise.
“He started it.”
“That’s a lie! He threw the eggs first.”
“In retaliation. Leo-”
“Finn! I dropped some flour and that warranted eggs in my hair?”
“Alright, maybe I overreacted but Leo-”
Leo abruptly burst into peals of laughter. “What the hell happened?” Logan was quick to answer. “J’etais innocent, je le jure! Finn-” Finn huffed, the vanilla extract getting dangerously close to his eye. “Hey, that’s not fair! That’s French I can’t even defend myself if I don’t know what you’re saying, you anserine!” Logan’s face pinched in the way it did when he was confused. He turned his lost eyes to Leo who just shrugged as he grabbed a clean towel (something that was in short supply at the moment) and wiped Finn’s forehead. “What is an anserine?” Logan asked with a frown. Finn just humphed. “It’s not any fun when you don’t understand it, is it?”
Logan glared at Finn from across the kitchen. Finn glared back. Leo gave up trying to stop the vanilla extract from staining Finn’s forehead. “Alright, children, since we can’t play nice we can’t play at all. Let’s clean up and start again. When everyone makes fun of us for being late I’m completely throwing y’all under the bus and y’all have to take it, understood?” Logan mumbled under his breath and Finn turned his glare to the ground as he muttered an audible annoyed, ‘yes sir.’ Leo smiled, happy with himself. “Okay, good. Logan get the vacuum. Finn start picking up the dough.” Finn started protesting immediately. “That’s not fair I didn’t spill the flou-” Leo turned to Finn with an exasperated look. “Finn.” He gave up with a groan, everyone dispersing to their station.
Once everything was cleaning up he sent Logan and Finn to go shower. Maybe if they showered together they’d get over their tiff. Leo figured it would be over before the dinner either way though.
About twenty minutes later the boys emerged from their bedroom, pinkies linked and swinging between them. “Need help with anything, Le?” Logan asked as Leo put the cookie sheet into the oven. “Nope.” Leo said with a fond smile. He loved seeing his boys getting along. As amusing as it is when they’re annoyed with each other it’s always more fun to see them being affectionate.
Logan walked up to Leo and wrapped his arms around Leo’s middle. Leo’s arms came up to rest across the shorter boy's shoulders. Logan dug his face into Leo’s neck and Leo could feel his body go lax against him. Finn leaned against the counter next to Leo and gave him a gentle kiss on the forehead.
“Thank you for remaking the cookies.” Leo returned the kiss that was offered and tightened his grip on Logan. “Y’all are very welcome. I appreciate y’all trying to make them even if it ended up all over the kitchen.” Logan huffed a laugh against his neck and Leo felt chills shoot down his arms.
Leo pressed a kiss to the top of Logan’s head and straightened up. “As nice as this is, I have to go change. Watch the cookies. Literally all you need to do is wait for the timer to go off and then take them out. That’s it. Just wait for the timer. Logan and Finn rolled their eyes in sync before sharing a look. “We know how a timer works, Leo.” Leo just raised his hands in surrender and backed out of the kitchen.
After he freshened up and changed out of his sweatpants he headed back to the kitchen.
He came to a halt when he heard panicked murmurs. He looked between his boys before looking down at the cookies.
The very very burnt cookies.

O'Knutzy Week! Prompt: cooking mishap
I'll be posting parts of the same story each day this week! It's a cubs au where Finn's spending the summer at his parent's house in the Hamptons and Leo is their private chef. Established LeLo. Characters by @lumosinlove and parts of this were written by the incomparable @allhalloweve (specifically most the flashback cooking scene is by them, and the last few lines, and some more scattered in there too 💗)
Part 1 here
for @oknutzyweek2023
Part 2
Leo travelled home that Monday morning with his heart fluttering. He felt pulled to get home to Logan, their summer days in the city together were as sweet as the tea that accompanied them throughout the hot sticky days in Brooklyn.
But his mind also drifted over the past few weekends with Finn. Finn usually worked on his laptop, but sometimes had pages printed out, marked up with an indecipherable code of color pens. Leo had laughed with his full chest when he sat down and pulled the same pens out of his own bag to write his grocery lists and meal plans for the next weekend. They had shared the space and shared their pens, and even if Leo was no closer to understanding when Finn used the violet or the sage green, he could admit they were sharing something special. Friendship, of course.
Leo was so happy with Logan, they had been joined at the hip and the heart since Logan had attempted an evening cooking class that Leo had been teaching.
Logan was, quite possibly, the worst cook Leo had ever seen. He was hesitant to trust the man with anything sharper than a cutting board. Not for lack of competence–no, Logan was brilliantly smart with wit to match–but rather a complete inability to cook more than an egg. Even that was risky on occasion.
But bless his heart, Logan had the most refined palette Leo ever had the pleasure of finding. Despite not being able to find his way around a recipe with a flashlight and a map, Logan could taste a dish and know in a moment what it needed—not just salt or pepper, either. It needs spice, he had said the very first time Leo let him breathe near the industrial ovens, rummaging in the spice racks. It needs…this. This smells right.
The ensuing mac and cheese had tasted just as good as any Leo had eaten in a restaurant, yet came from the hands of a man who had nearly dropped a mallet on his foot mere minutes before. Leo’s plan had been a tenderised cut of beef, to be seared and then baked, teaching skills in basting, marinades, testing temperatures, and plating. This plan had been officially abandoned after the incident with the mallet. And the pan that may never recover. And better not to mention the smell.
When Leo switched his intention from ‘cooking lesson’ to ‘let’s just feed this adorable, wrecking ball of a man’, this glorious mac and cheese had unfolded. They had shared the dish over stainless steel counters while purposefully ignoring the mess that Leo was unreasonably glad wasn’t in his own home, in favour of enjoying their food and each other. They had been the only people left in the building, and Leo was gone on him. Logan spent half an hour rambling about the spice and silk trade of the 14th century—Leo spent half an hour admiring his bright eyes and soft mouth. Three years later, he had come to love those eyes more than anything.
Leo stepped off the train while the sweet memories swirled around his mind, and began the short walk home to their apartment, ready to try a new recipe that had also been percolating. He sent Logan a text letting him know he was home, and Logan responded.
Leo ☀️ I’m off the train now, loveLo. Home soon. Going to make a recipe i saw, like a apricot tart
Logan💚Ok i’ll be home soon, love. Just at the library.  Can’t wait to get my mouth on you  it
Leo ☀️ mmm but which first?
Logan💚 You, obviously. xxx
Leo smiled to himself and set to unpacking and prepping the veggies for dinner and dessert. He fully planned on allowing himself to be interrupted when Logan got home.
Steam sizzled on the stove and Leo turned the burner off, the kitchenaid joining music as the background noise wafting through their apartment. A warm chest pressed up against his back, bare rather than hidden beneath a carefully-ironed button down.
“Hi Tremzy,” Leo sighed, letting his head drop back into Logan’s shoulder. “Why don’t you have a shirt on?”
Logan turned his head to nuzzle Leo’s hair with his nose and wrapped his arms firmly around Leo’s waist.
“Is hot,” Logan murmured.
Leo turned to press a kiss to his forehead, brushing messy curls out of the way.
“Won’t catch me complaining. How was your weekend?”
“Fine, good. Met up with Noelle, did workouts in mornings, read that new biography book. Missed you,” his nose wrinkled. “Missed you way too much. Fuckin’ richies.”
“Your family has a summer house in addition to their regular house,” Leo pointed out with a snort. “And those richies pay our bills right now.”
“They steal my boyfriend.”
“They are perfectly nice. Haley and Ramsey treat me like family and, well I don’t know their oldest that well, but Finn’s sweet. You’d like him.”
Logan levelled a sceptical look on him while one hand slipped away to snag a bite of apricot. That seemed unlikely. “I would?”
“He’s funny. He’s smart, like you. An editor for novels ‘n shit. Total bookworm. You’d amuse each other, I think.” And it would keep you both out of my way so I can cook in peace. What Leo wouldn’t give to see them set each other off about a pedantic historical detail. If anyone in the world could make Finn’s ears go red in a little fit of crankiness, it would be Logan. Bullheaded, the both of them.
Logan seemed suspicious. “Isn’t this the same Finn who freaked out about seaweed?”
“Well, yes,  and, um, so he invited us to stay next week. You can grill him for more details about phobias then.” Leo kissed his cheek again, then turned fully in his arms for a proper one on his lips.
The kiss appeased Logan’s huffiness enough to earn Leo a second one; he sank into it, settling one hand in the dip of Logan’s waist where his skin was warm and soft.
“Je t’aime,” Logan said into his mouth. His thumb ran in circles over Leo’s jaw and sent goosebumps over his body.
“Love you more,” he whispered back, and started walking Logan backwards towards their bed.
Some time later, after their traditional Monday reconnection, they lay in bed together. Logan had his head resting in Leo’s bare chest, and Leo was running his fingers through Logan’s hair rhythmically.
“Would you want to go?” Leo asked.
“Quoi?” Logan said.
“Finn really did invite us both up for the week. Might be nice to get away for a week?”
“I guess, but isn’t it a bit weird?”
“Yeah, I can see why’d you say that,” Leo sighed. “But Finn really is sweet. Haley and Ramsey - they would be around for the weekend, and I would be working then. But then we could have 4 days of relaxing… sitting by the pool, I’d take you to the farmer’s market, maybe down to the water… all the stuff I don’t have time for on the weekends.”
Logan rested his chin on Leo’s sternum and hummed.
“Sounds like you really want to go, hmm peanut?”
“Yeah, I guess I do. But only if you’re there,” Leo said, shrugging.
“D’accord, of course. Getting out of the city for a week sounds amazing. I do have that planning meeting with my principal and the other social science teachers this weekend though.”
“Oh shit, right, I forgot about that.” Logan turned to kiss Leo’s shoulder, ran his tongue along his collarbone. “I’m pretty sure only a Saturday worked for some of them. But, one more weekend apart, and then I can be your sous chef for two whole weekends,” Logan kissed the dip between his collarbones, “help you, spend time with you,” he murmured and his kisses travelled up Leo’s neck.
Leo laughed, and pulled Logan up to kiss him, revelling in the softness of his lips.
“I can’t wait, love.” Kiss. “But, sweetheart?”
“Hmm?”
Kiss.
“Absolutely no knives.”

Annabeth wants to learn how to cook. She’s never gotten the chance to before. Percy agrees to teach her, he learned from his mom after all! They could start simple, with cookies! Everyone liked cookies, and they were easy to make. Percy overestimated Annabeth’s skills.

Babysitter's Guide To Watching Eri (My Hero Academia)
Tumblr media
Heyo! This is a gift for the ever amazing @thatbigbisexual29 A while back we were talking about Bakugou and Eri and how cute they'd be as a duo, and thus; this fic has been born! This is pretty self indulgent and likely OOC but who cares- it's Bakugou and Eri! I hope y'all like it! :D
Cloud 9 (Taglist Peeps):
@myreygn @duckymcdoorknob @baby-tickles2022 @cupcake-spice13 @backy-san @nutzgunray-lvt @sarahmaystock5578 @rachi-roo @mochigiggle @chibisstuff
Summary: In an unexpected turn of events, Bakugou is tasked with babysitting Eri for the day.
When it came to looking after Eri, a few faces immediately came to mind.
First of course was Mirio. The kind hearted hero adored the girl and would bend over backwards to entertain her whenever Aizawa and Mic had hero work to attend to. It didn’t matter what was going on- he was ready to rush over and play whenever needed.
The next was Midoriya. If Mirio was busy or they simply desired another playmate, they’d grab the freckled boy from his studies and invite him over. He’d run through the door with a proud “I am here!” that left Eri squealing in glee and Mirio chucking at how into his role he got for the little girl.
There were others; Nejiri who was always down to play dress up and princess tea party with Eri; Shinsou who helped her with her drawings and watched movies with her; and the U-A girls like Uraraka and Tsuyu who always took her to fun places like the space zone or the aquarium, pointing out cool things and treating her to snacks.
Alas- none of those options were available today for Eri. Mirio and Nejire had work, Midoriya and the girls were finishing their internships, and Shinsou was in extra classes for the hero course. Things were rather…tense as the realization hit them.
“What are we gonna do? We can’t bring her with us during our patrol!” Mic was pacing around the room back and forth in thought, just barely avoiding pulling out his hair. “And all the pro’s are busy- oh man why of all the days!”
“We’ll figure it out. We just need to find someone on short notice.” Aizawa slumped forward in his seat, trying to think. Who was available with no plans today? “Yaoyorozu maybe?”
“Yeah! No…wait- Midnight needed her.” Mic deflated. “Oh! What about Tokoyami?”
“Hawks.” They said at the same time, shaking their heads. “Nearly all the students are being taken up for missions right now- it’s not fair to expect them to bail for our sake. What do we do…” Mic doubled over the desk, holding his head.
Just then- an answer walked through the door.
“Hey- Mr. Aizawa, Best Jeanist texted. He said he wouldn’t be able to take me with him today- some emergency came up.” Bakugou knocked before poking his head through the door, looking a bit disgruntled. “Should I see if Endeavor needs more hands?”
Aizawa and Mic looked at eachother.
“Endeavor has plenty of hands.” Aizawa spoke, finalizing their decision. “However, we do need a favor…”
~~~
A babysitter job. Him- babysitting!
Good grief.
“Okay- here’s everything she’ll need. Eri’s fairly independent, so really the only thing you need to do is entertain her while we’re gone.” Mic had handed him a whole list- A LIST! Of things Eri liked. Everything from her favorite toys to her favorite drinks and snacks- all the movies she loved and games she usually played, etc. etc.
“We should be back a little after lunchtime so if you could take care of that; we have pre-made meals in the fridge, you just need to heat them up. Oh- and careful with the microwave; we don’t know what happened but it’s acting weird. Try not to hit any odd numbers, kay?”
“Odd numbers-wait; how long did you say?” Bakugou stammered as Mic bounced out the door, putting on his hero face. “Is this an all day thing?”
“Is that a problem?” Aizawa raised a brow. “Do you have anything planned today?”
“Well…no, I just…I’m not-” Bakugou waved his arms, feeling a bit helpless. “I’m not exactly great with kids.”
Aizawa softened, reaching out and patting Bakugou’s shoulder. “From what I’ve heard, you did fine with the kids during your remedial classes.”
“That’s only because they were a bunch of snot nosed brats. Plus I had help” Bakugou grumbled.
“That was a bunch of kids. This is Eri- the farthest thing from a brat.” Aizawa squeezed his arm before pulling back, adjusting his scarf. “She’s a good girl and doesn’t need much. Try not to scare her. You know how you can be.”
“I’m not-” Bakugou growled, then snapped his mouth shut when he realized he was proving Aizawa’s point. “Fine. I’ll be…gentle.”
“Thank you again, Bakugou. We truly appreciate it.” Aizawa nodded before heading out, officially leaving Eri in the teen’s care.
“...Heh. Okay, squirt- where do we even-” Bakugou turned to face her but found…nothing. She was nowhere to be seen. “Eri? Hey, where are you?”
Poking his head down the hall, he found her hiding behind a door frame, peeking at him. “You good, kid?”
Eri seemed…scared. Bakugou winced at himself; he hadn’t even talked to her today yet and he already scared her. Sighing, he squatted down to her level, offering a hand. “Look- I know I seem scary, but I promise I’m not gonna yell at you. Whatever you want to do today, we can do, alright?”
The girl seemed to relax some, her expression still nervous. Slowly, she crept towards him, little hands folded on her chest as she looked at her feet. “Sorry…”
“Huh? Why are you apologizing?” She winced at his tone. He internally punched himself. “Er-sorry. Why are you apologizing? You didn’t do anything wrong.”
“You have to watch me. I ruined your day.” She sounded close to tears. Bakugou felt his chest hurt. Did she hear him calling after Mic?
“No, no kid- you didn’t ruin anything. My day hasn’t even started yet.” With some hesitation, he reached out and patted her head, making her look up. “If you heard me talking to your papa, it wasn’t anything bad about you, I swear. I just don’t know how to…” he waved a hand between them, shrugging in such a manner that he got a smile. “But we can figure this out. We can play whatever you want- including…” He looked at the list, wincing. “Fairy Princess Ball.”
Eri giggled, her nerves easing away as she bounced up to him. “I love that game! But I always play it with Neji. I want to play something else.”
“Sure kid, let’s see.” Bakugou looked at the list once more, but Eri put her hands over it, pushing it down with a headshake.
“No list! I want to play something new.” She looked up at him, eyes dancing. “Something you came up with…erm…”
“Bakugou.” He gave her his name, watching her light up. “But I guess Katsuki is fine if  you want.”
“Ba…Baku..” She stammered on the words, then she looked at him. “Kacchy.”
“Close enough.”
~~~
“Ahoy my crew! We’re approaching deadly waters!” Eri cried from her pillow fort on the couch, holding a circular cushion in her small hands like a steering wheel. “They say a mean old sea monster lives here- we must be careful!”
“Oi who you calling old-er I mean…Grrrrrrr!” Eri giggled at the growling heard beneath a nearby blue blanket, slowly getting closer and closer to her “ship”. Behind her, her crew of squishmellows sat aligned, all dressed in pirate outfits and ready to assist.
“Do you hear that? It’s getting closer!” Eri looked around, pushing up her pirate hat as she searched for the monster. “Let’s turn to-”
“ROAR!” Bakugou shot from the blanket, a dragon hat on his head as he raised his arms high. Eri squealed, falling back in her pillows with a giggly shriek. “I’m a sea monster! And I’m gonna eat your boat!”
“Noo! Quick- Yuki! Save us!” Eri chucked her nearest Squishmellow at him, watching it bounce off his chest harmlessly. Bakugou flailed backwards anyway, pretending to be hit. “Go, go!”
“Gah! No! Not the dreaded squish!” He cried out as she assaulted him with squishmellow after squishmellow, finally jumping on him when she ran out. “Ah! No! It’s the Pirate Princess Eri!”
“That’s right! And I’m gonna take you out, Mr. Sea Monster! Take THIS!” She shot her hands out, scribbling them all over his belly with reckless abandon.
“AH! Ahehahahahhaa! Whahahahit- wahahhhahait I didiihihihihn’t agrehehehehehehehee to thihihihihiihs!” Bakugou spasmed with a yelp, not at all prepared for such acts! Semi buried beneath squishmellows, the blonde laughed and squirmed, fighting the urge to curse in front of Eri. “Ehahhhahahhaha, you brahhahahahhat! This ihihhihihihisn’t fahahahhahair!”
“He he he! Looks like you’re no match for the great Eri-EHH!” The little girl squealed when Bakugou suddenly lunged, gathering her up and gently tickling her back. “Ahehahahahahahahaha! Kahahhaahahahchy!”
“Who’s Kacchy? I’m the dreadful sea monster, remember? Forget eating your ship, I’m gonna eat YOU!” He roared playfully as he carried on tickling her, making Eri squeal and kick in glee. “I’m gonna roll you in flour, bake you and then eat you up bones and all!”
“Ahehahhhahahhaa! Nohohohoohohohoo!” Eri rolled out of his arms, running for her boat. “Stahhahay awhawhhahahay!” She squealed through her giggles as she grabbed her squishmellow, smacking him with it. “Tahhake that!”
“Oh, it is ON!” He grabbed the smallest squish he could find, lightly swatting back at her as she laughed herself silly. For someone so small, she sure could pack a hit!
RIIIIIP!
“Oh no!” Eri cried, freezing Bakugou in his spot. The squishmellow she was using to attack had suddenly ripped open- a huge gaping hole in the side. Stuffing rolled down the couch, littering the floor. “Yuki…”
Yuki…oh shit. That was one of her favorite toys from the list.
“Oh man, kid…” Bakugou paled upon looking at the mess. Eri’s eyes filled with tears.
Bakugou looked at her, then at the toy. Then he sighed, pulling off the dragon hat.
“No tears, Doctor Eri. We have a patient to fix.” He announced, making her look up. “Hang on- I have something that can fix Yuki.
~~~
“I didn’t know you could sew!” Eri sat wide eyed as she watched Bakugou carefully stitch back up her toy, his handiwork slow but consistent. “Where’d you learn that?”
“A hero has tons of tricks.” Bakugou grinned at her, pushing the fallen stuffing back in as he went along. “My parents are in the fashion business. My dad makes clothes while my mom models them. I helped them out a few summers- mainly just taking care of rips and tears in the clothes.”
“Wow…” Eri leaned into her hands, taking it all in. “Papa…he got me Yuki as a present when I first started living here.”
Ah. That made sense why the plush was so faded. It also explained Eri’s reaction. “Did he now?”
“Mm-hm! He came home with it one day- told me it was a present for my birthday!” Eri smiled at the memory, cheeks flushing with fondness for her adoptive parents. “It wasn’t really my birthday, but it was the first real gift from Daddy and Papa- I love it very much.”
Bakugou didn’t have much to say about that, finishing off the last stitch before puffing Yuki up some. “There we go. Good as new- er; minus the big scar.”
Eri practically tackled him, hugging his arm with a teary grin. “Thank you, Kacchy. And I don’t mind the scar. All the people I love have them.”
That’s when he realized she was looking at him too, at the faded scars along his bicep.
“Heh, I guess they do.” He laughed through a thick voice.
~~~
“Alright- let’s see…which one kid?” Bakugou presented both meals to Eri, watching her look each one over. It was around the afternoon when he got a text from Aizawa; turns out they weren’t gonna be back until late that evening; meaning it was up to Bakugou to prepare her meal.
“Hmm…this one!” She pointed, pleased with her decision. Bakugou nodded, putting the other away before popping the pre-made meal into the microwave. “Daddy makes the best food!”
“He does.” Bakugou agreed, knowing just how good Aizawa was as a cook. “He once made-”
The microwave beeped and shook. Bakugou paled upon realizing his mistake.
Don’t press any of the odd buttons!
“ERI MOVE!” Bakugou ran at her, gathering her up and leaping just as the microwave exploded. Glass and semi cooked food flew across the kitchen, the smell of smoke strong as the inside of the microwave sizzled. A small flame remained within.
Bakugou blinked, then he looked over Eri. Besides looking utterly shocked, she didn’t have any wounds or burns. Nodding, he quickly grabbed the fire extinguisher, putting out the remains of the microwave. Once done, he grabbed a wooden spoon and batted out the plug. “There. Eri, are you okay?”
The girl seemed stunned, wide eyed and shaky. Bakugou kneeled before her, voice gentle. “Eri?”
“Erm…yeah. I’m okay.” She nodded, shaking out of her shock as she met his eye. “What about you?”
“Nothing broken here. Sorry I blew up dinner.” He laughed some, looking back at the mess. “Er…want pizza?”
~~~ “And that is that.” Bakugou huffed as he and Eri flopped into the couch, fairly exhausted. The kitchen was clean once more, and a box of pizza with only the crust remaining laid on the coffee table. In the background, a movie with talking fish carried on. Eri insisted it was a great movie. If he were being honest, she was right. “What a day. Sorry I kinda messed everything up, kid.”
“What do you mean? I had so much fun today!” She smiled up at him, sleepy. “We played pirates and sea monsters, you fixed Yuki, and we got to eat pizza and watch movies! I’m glad you came today, Kacchy.”
Bakugou grinned, something warm setting in his chest as she scooted closer to him, lying against his side. “I’m sure Mirio or Deku would have been better.”
“Maybe. But you’re great in your own way.” She yawned, huffing some before closing her eyes. “Thanks for being here, Kacchy…I appreciate it…”
“Eri?” He looked down to find her sleeping with a happy smile on her face. Chuckling, he petted back her hair away from her peaceful expression.
“Glad to be there for you kid.”
Thanks for reading!
QUIN HOW DO YOU MELT A PAN?!
Very dangerously.
So I lived alone for good chunks of my 20s, and I was a very, very bad and forgetful cook.
One day I put a thin steak - commonly called Pan Steak around here - on a pan to heat it up for lunch for work when I was working nights.
I forgot it.
I went to work.
It cooked, on low, for eight hours.
… there’s a very horrific smell that goes with that.
Ahem, by the grace of the gods I did not burn my home down. But I did fuse the steak to the pan and melt it. Well, melted both items.
This happened before phones had cameras or I’d have a lot of pictures.
Anyway, my grandpa had tools from his “owned an autobody shop” days, and couldn’t separate the steak from the pan in order to try and salvage the pan.
And that’s the story of how I fused a steak to a pan and melted the pan.
byan has definitely left a foil packet in food they've stuck in the microwave by accident before and unintentionally started a fire. like, at least once. they've also for sure just sat there and watched the thing burn until someone around them took notice and put it out in a panic.
My 3rd attempt at Egg Curry was a fail 😭😭😭
Next time I'm just gonna blend the tomatoes. No more waiting for it to cook. Puree is better.
Dad still said it was good. Just needed a bit more curry to it. Bless the guy. He's just eating whatever I am able to cook since mom is out on vacation with her friends.
