A Steve who cannot buy his boyfriend Eddie's movie tickets all time, take him out to bi weekly dinners, or even publicly win him a teddy bear at the fair is a Steve who pivots, and starts making trips the the closest hobby store.

The bigger one, that sells more than just a handful of D&D manuals.

The guys who hang around there are initially confused--the sports guy who should clearly be buying sports cards is instead coming in once a month to load up on everything from fantasy books to new dice. Clearly he has to be a nerd in disguise.

Yet when one brave soul casually asked what his preferred game was he said basketball, like a total normie.

Finally after a full year of this, the guy opens the door to the shop, but for once doesn't step in. Instead, Eddie steps through and gasps, before spinning and loudly accusing Steve of hiding the store from him.

"It's not my fault you refuse to drive this far out." Steve fires right back but there's a smile on his face, and the stores entire crew watch in awe as Steve follows Eddie around.

Steve is always careful in Hawkins, when it comes to not acting like they're in a relationship but its hard in the moment, and he's not as careful as he should be.

Eddie brings an entire armload of things to the front of the store and Steve insists on paying because;

"It's your birthday man, I'm not gonna make you pay for your own presents."

They leave, the two of them practically floating, leaving behind a bewildered group of people who immediately start arguing whether or not they heard the weird sporty guy call the metalhead "baby."

I got to play with some uranium ore today!

Okay, so here's something cool! This is a piece of uranium ore. This is not a piece from my collection, this is actually a piece from a collection that I'm getting to view here. Very neat! So yeah, that's uranium right there.

You might hear some clicks, and that is my geiger counter, so we're going to test how radioactive this uranium is. So this is just the base atmospheric radiation that's in this room. And let's see what happens when we get it next to that uranium.

Aw, there it goes!

Yeah, I'd say that's radioactive.

And for anyone concerned, this is still completely within reasonable dosage limits. Obviously you don't want to, like, eat this, or have it next to your skin for extended periods of time, but it is perfectly safe for me to, you know, pick up and handle.

It's giving off... what is it giving off? Let's let it tick up here and see what it gets to. About five microsieverts? It can probably go a little higher, we've clocked it a little higher before.

Eh, about five and a half microsieverts.

So again, completely safe for me to handle. But measurably very radioactive! So that's a very cool piece that I got to view today. I think it would be fun to have some of this in my collection at some point. Maybe I'll see if I can get the owner to sell it to me! Here's hoping.

OKAY so I forgot to tag a post, but like, This Post is very relevant to your questions!

GETTING ALL THE WAY UP TO 36 LOOPS IS LIKE. BOTH THE WORST CASE SCENARIO AND AN INCREDIBLY DEMORALIZING EXPERIENCE. It was just too fucking funny not to draw the Universe breaking under the strain of this Black Hole of a person.

Which is to say!! It's said it takes a village to raise a Siffrin but nobody there is playing any particular role at that point. There's no way to tell anyone apart beyond "A Loop" and "The Siffrin," "a New (hopeful) Star" or "an Old (jaded) Star." When you become one of the many, many failures, and the Universe won't let you walk away, you just. That's all that matters anymore. You can't even take yourself seriously, let alone those around you.

BUT!!! Say we keep it to Four Loops, a much more manageable number. I mentioned in the previous post somewhat about how they don't differentiate very well - except for mini-loop, who was fortunate enough to at least look different - until they all decide on what role they're going to take up in their silly little one-person play. They just Don't intrude on each other's lines, on each other's characters, too caught up in their own - unless they're being Siffrin, just to tease him. They're as happy as they can be, having found a way to be.. well, not themselves, per se. But not a group of failed Siffrins. Not all the same doomed narrative. And in a way, they get to experience the people they love again.

When they have the energy to keep up the act, they talk differently, they walk differently, they focus on different things, and it's enough to tell one from the other half the time. And they'll keep going with this until it inevitably gets to them, just how much they're still. Worse versions of someone else.

Oh, but mini-bonnie-loop was made that short both because they worded their wish weird trying to find a loophole (tee hee) and also because the Universe was like. I'm gonna make this really funny. And well if the Universe is making them out like they could replace Siffrin's entire cast, who are they not to follow?

I think it doesn't matter if Fletcher is dating a man. I think if you were paying attention, you would have known that back in September/November when the rumors started.

I think it's sad she felt like she had to "come out" as dating a boy and what that feels like for bi/pan girlies, and I think it's OK for people to have feelings about the marketing or timing or whatever else.

I, however, think it's a bad song that could have been better written and that she will be fine. The backlash will likely die down before the album release. I will probably still listen to it, but there are other white Lesbians making equally good music.

If you are also tired of the discourse, remember we give this stuff a platform, and there are other things that arguably deserve it more. Like Queer refugees in Sudan or the loss of a gay indigenous man in San Antonio, Jonathon Voss, In Alberta they are pulling "obscene" books from school, trans people (and women) being assaulted in public bathrooms, Palestine 🇵🇸.

Biphobia is real and some of this discourse is biphobic, Lesbians are allowed to be upset and not vilified for it. Now move along.

Also, Fletcher isn't Bi. It wasn't fair for Lesbian to give her a label, and it's not fair for bi people to do the same, as far as I understand.

entomology is a huuuuge interest of mine and actually what im going to uni for!!! so ive worked in two different entomology labs (both being more focused on agricultural entomology) and ive met a handful of people who work in that field :D

it influences a little bit of how i see queenie HAHA so far anyone ive met who works in entomology is very strange in different ways, and i dont see her as having been an entomologist prior to entering the circus (maybe in the past at most? but some way or another she ended up working at c&a...) BUT i like to incorporate that into how i see her!!! its very fun :D

im not an entomologist myself by any means but i have a little bit of experience with that field should that insight be needed for queenie purposes!!!!

Aurora may be little but she chose something big, something that swells to a knot nearly as thick as Aether's, and Cirrus promised the eager little bird that Rainy would take it.

And oh Cirrus fucks his ass, pulls on his tail when he starts to go limp, scolding him for being so cockdrunk he can't keep himself upright. Aurora loves how much of a mess he is for them, teary and drooly and dumb.

I dunno.

Hey. Void. WHAT THE FUCK OH MY GOD?!?!?!? HOLY FUCKING SHIT DUDE I'M GONNA DIE ABOUT THIS. Just thinking about Cirrus looking at Aurora over Rain's shoulder as they fuck him, nodding her approval. Telling Aurora what to do like Rain isn't there. Really only addressing Rain at all when he starts to slump, starts to go boneless from pleasure. Scolding him for letting himself drift too much. Cirrus won't let him drop his weight down on Aurora. Won't let him move either. Aurora gets to decide how fast or hard he gets fucked. Cirrus follows her lead, praises her, but never Rain. That makes him shivery, desperate, whiny. Tears pricking at the corners of his eyes from how fucking good it all feels and how much more he needs. Bet Cirrus leans down after a while, catches her teeth on the shell of his ear and promises him he'll be stuck on Rora's knot before long. Tells him he just has to take a little (a lot) more. They'll take such good care of him when they've had their fill, she promises. Rain can't do much more than whimper at the thought.

Ladies it happened the beard was acknowledged by a complete randomer 💥 was at a crosswalk with a middle-aged man of the slightly strange but harmless type who strike up conversations with randomers. Now he did more or less open with 'weird how there's homeless people begging for money, some of them are my neighbours so I know they're not homeless' which I didnt quite know how to respond to. And then he asked 'why do you have a beard' and I've trained myself for this scenario so I said 'because I like it ^_^' and he said 'fair enough, I wish I could grow a beard' and then the crosswalk turned green and we departed like stars crossing each others paths for but a second before disappearing into space
