JK seemed to be honest with Lia from the get go. Why the secretiveness towards the latest story? I feel Lia genuinely cares for him and he feels a sense of comfort with her. They also had the type of playful banter in which it’s easier to unload heavy subjects. It’s ok to recognize that we all had pasts in our lifetimes. I’m dying to know when the next JK x Lia installment is coming up ! Their intro into the idolverse had me hooked from the beginning so I feel a special bond with them, although Tae & Dilara blew me away too 🤣. It’s like having a bias and bias wrecker in their couple-ship 🥺

I don’t want to give any spoilers so I won’t talk too much about how the last fic ended and what exactly JK was being cagey about. But everything else you’ve said is quite true - they definitely have a very easygoing relationship and trust each other with heavy topics as well.

Their pairing is special to me too, for the exact same reason, haha! The Fifth and The Sixth were initially just an isolated trilogy but once the Idolverse started taking shape, somehow my brain just assumed they were part of it too ♥️

Giyuu x Reader Headcanons (Romantic)

Note: Really hoping this one stuck close to his character! I haven't rewatched earlier seasons so I may get an error or two mixed up! Also, changing up my page aesthetics because I'm running out of doves to use for gifs,,

This man will NOT know what to do with a relationship at first. He'll have to ask someone for any kind of guidance for how to properly court someone (it becomes even harder if you happen to be a guy, given that gay relationships are probably not all that discussed)

Once he's done his own research, he FINALLY works up the nerve to make his passion known to you. While you've always been his little piece of sunshine as a friend, his different kind of stoic silence makes you question if he's angered towards you at first. It's not like his usual yet casual silence- but all was quelled when he handed you a small box and placed it in your hands. A beautiful necklace adorned with a kitten charm, a metaphorical piece meant to ward off spirits that mean harm.

He wouldn't go as far as to say you both were dating yet. Hell, if you didn't like him or his gifts, you were more than free to choose what your heart desired.

And yet... You loved him. More than enough to not only accept his gifts, but offer your own!

On days where he was off on a mission, you would work tirelessly for a handmade craft for him. You may not be well off, but you'll find your way to give him something nice!

A local seamstress even offered to help you craft what you'd like, given her talent in her artistic field. Your rudimentary projects mostly looked... Well, simple, but Giyuu is more than touched that your heart yearned to make him happy as does his.

His main love language is physical affection when you both are completely alone. Giyuu never truly expressed to friends how starved he is for human contact, but now? Now he had the perfect partner to rest on and comfort. Even find comfort in.

Total opposite in public. People will think you're both complete strangers if they don't see your hands held together. If you're the mischievous type, a kiss to his cheek while others watch will fluster him easily...

Don't expect dating to last too long, he's more than direct about what he wants. Whatever future you imagine for yourself, he wants to be by your side. Even asking your family for your hand in marriage less than a year into your little cute coupleship!

He'll overdress EVERYWHERE you two go to spend time together. That seamstress? She'll pamper him like a mom and gush about how handsome of a boy he is. Awww, look at him! Red as a berry and handsome as a button ^^

Soft kisses. All day every day. This man is so so soft, he'll worry if he accidentally hurts you... Even if it was over the smallest of hugs.

Breeze suddenly flipping Hare in his head thinking he's his rival, he certainly is trying to disassociate with him and abandoning him, all these things, when meanwhile Hare is just doing his work and thinking

"I can't wait to hang out with my best friends Heathertail and Breezepelt after my shift is done :)"

They're only going to end up in this relationship AFTER AVoS and Breezepelt's redemption btw, Heather and Hare could get into a coupleship first but Breeze needs time to develop before he's even thinking about romance.

I don't want the first kits to be born yet though, I strongly feel that canon gave them useless legacy kits too fast when Heathertail and Breezepelt both should have had serious roles in AVOS.

Heather especially, Darktail is her brother and that's barely even commented on. There was no need to have children in the way of this already, so I don't need to be like "the first litter is biologically only Hare's" or something.

So I haven't re-read everything but I was thinking about Cerberus and Lilith vs Cerberus and Kia. And I think Cerberus and Lilith were equal and opposite, constantly tussling and competing for dominance and power in their relationship. She's the ice to his fire, she brings out his power through conflict and it's stressful and tense but passionate and thrilling.

Now Kia and Cerberus are like fire and a redwood forest. The forest is fire’s natural home, feeding and renewing in a cycle that benefits both. She helps him grow in true strength rather than just power. They are still passionate, but Kia sates him in body and soul and Lilith leaves him hungry for something more.

Lilith is the cunning paramor of Cerberus the Conqueror and Kia is the steady partner of Cerberus the King.

Firstly, I am sending a novelty oversize amount of extra-warm fuzzies your way for not only thinking in depth about my OCs in the first place, but for then taking the time to write out and send your thoughts about them to me. 🥹💗💗🥹 A total honour.

Secondly, I love the forest/fire analogy. I may have fixated on it...kind of a lot. And now to the main point! Which I will put under the cut because blah blah blah, talky talky, all that. 😅

You're not far off the mark with Cerberus and Lilith, although one of the main reasons their coupleship lasted as long as it did (slightly over a decade, which is notably longer than most of my various Underworldian pairings tend to last) is that they were both very independent, and Lilith already established as a powerful entity in her own right. But oh, yeah, there were certainly a LOT of ups and downs. Also, back in the early days, Cerberus was somewhere between completely disinterested in and actively against the idea of love or a significant other for most of his life - it was a distraction, a pointlessness, an unnecessary responsibility he had no desire towards - and he just flat-out wasn't interested in anyone. Not long-term, anyway, not as anything...important. He's never been short of hopeful suitors - to put it mildly - but his usual reaction to that sort of thing mostly tended to be somewhere between boredom or irritation about it. Presuming he even noticed, lol. Lilith's independence and (very strong, some would say perhaps a little too strong, heh) self-esteem, her own achievements and intellect, plus the fact she's absolutely stunning, broke this antipathy in him, and in more than a few ways they were a great match. BUT. He was always more detached than she was, and Lilith loves to be openly admired, whereas Cerberus...well, it was never much of a priority for him. In lots of areas they both took a lot for granted, though differently, and you're dead on the money in terms of the balance of power, and where it fell...or appeared to. They exasperated each other regularly. Be that as it may, though, by any measure Lilith was the first person Cerberus ever loved. To the best of his ability at the time, that is. Kia was a revelation for him. He fell for her in a way he did not think was possible. Hell, I didn't think it was possible. You think you know someone, and, uh, well...🤣🤣 Nope. Apparently not. Turns out I can be, in fact, AMAZINGLY way off the mark about my own damn people. Cerberus and Kia's ongoing fascination with one another, both of them genuinely thinking the other is the Best Thing Ever (including the negatives; they're not perfect but they are perfect together), is something truly lasting and complementary, and regenerative - that forest/fire comparison indeed. Exactly. ❤️‍🔥

Thank you very much for your in-depth response! (Looks like I can't comment on the post, so I hope you don't mind me sending another ask to respond back. :) ) I thought about it some more, and IDK, maybe I just read and watched too much Japanese media when I was growing up, haha. Because (at least at that time, not sure about nowadays) even so many canon straight couples in J-fiction never showed much, or any, physical evidence of their partnership (sometimes even barely any verbal evidence either, TBH), especially in works where the plot was the main focus (as opposed to works where the main focus was on the romance itself, of course, because usually there was at least some in those haha!), so granted I likely have a large bias/skew on the shapes that fictional coupleship can take from all of that. The heat level itself wasn't really my point though (as I certainly am not expecting heat out of Museum's main pair either haha), it was just that for me it's still possible for characters of any gender(s) to be in an obvious canon relationship/partnership in-story even without any onscreen/on-page physical stuff being necessary (again, though, I admit that that probably includes a lot of my old-J-media bias talking :) ). I understand your discussion on all of that, though, as well as your point that in the current day, being super vague about relationships (particularly non-straight ones) doesn't really cut it. As for Midnight Museum, IDK, to me there just seems to be way too much obvious romance coding being used in everything to do with the main pair (both in terms of cinematography cues as well as all of the classic tropes present in the physicality they do have so far as well as the dialogue and script overall) for them to just end up explicitly passing it off by the end of the show as a 'Nope Not Any Kind Of Partnership No Way They Were Just Good Friends Y'all' or something, haha (especially with it being a Thai show, instead of, like, The Land Of Censorship Of Which We Do Not Speak or something, you know? :P ). But I still don't think there's going to be any romance. I don't think they're going to be brothers, I just think the show is... never going to touch on the idea of romance with them. They will be Something Important but not romance.

Yes, Thailand does produce queer shows and lots of them but I would not expect them to do a queer show without any kind of advertisement or mention or showing of it, even now. That doesn't feel like the GMMTV style, honestly. Maybe I'll be wrong. But who knows?

Anyway, I get the idea of an implied relationship but I think it shows where the whole of their relationship involves lots of Mystic and Fated and Time Travel things like Midnight Museum it'd be very hard to just kind of do an implied vague romantic relationship if they were going to do that way.

I also get that a lot of more plotty shows can have background barely-there romances and that Japanese media definitely

I definitely look forward to it but I am very much in the 'this show will not be queer' camp just from the way the show has been teased. I suspect the romance is just a tease, a bit of baiting, them playing with Gun's typical roles.

Honestly, I'll just be happy if neither of them has a full on female love interest through the show. That's my entire hope. Just leave it vague enough that I don't have to fight canon. I mean, not like I haven't fought canon dozens of times before but, you know, I just want it easy this time.
