...and i've fallen back in love with you.

Are we all

just a dream, suspended, crystalline

melodies that energy paints

and do we bloom out of our chrysalis

like plumose light

out of the saturnine clouds?

If we are love —

then I am unfurled of my heart petals

to shelter you.

and yet there you are

miles away still breathing and laughing

and i cannot go a day without the thought of you

it makes me wonder if what we had was real

since there is no way in hell your love would have

disappeared that quickly

you said i was your forever love

but how can your soulmate just let go

like it meant nothing all this time

time that we cannot get back
