8 Things Salesforce Consulting Services Companies Need to Know
Salesforce is a powerful platform that helps businesses manage customer relationships, streamline processes, and drive growth. As a Salesforce consulting services company, staying at the forefront of this dynamic ecosystem is essential. To excel in this competitive field, here are eight crucial things your Salesforce consulting services company needs to know.
Stay Current with Salesforce Updates
Salesforce is known for its frequent updates and innovations. To provide top-notch consulting services, it's imperative to stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce releases and features. Regularly attending Salesforce events, webinars, and reading the release notes will help your team stay informed and offer cutting-edge solutions to your clients.
Certifications Matter
Salesforce offers a wide range of certifications for consultants, administrators, developers, and architects. Earning these certifications not only validates your team's expertise but also helps you stand out in the competitive consulting landscape. Invest in ongoing training and encourage your consultants to become certified Salesforce professionals.
Understand Industry Specifics
Different industries have unique requirements and regulations. As a Salesforce consulting company, you need to have a deep understanding of the industries you serve. Tailor your solutions to address specific challenges and offer industry-specific knowledge that sets you apart from competitors.
Customization vs. Out-of-the-Box Solutions
Salesforce provides a robust set of out-of-the-box solutions that can meet the needs of many businesses. However, understanding when to customize and when to leverage standard features is crucial. Customization can be powerful but may lead to complex maintenance and higher costs. A good consulting firm knows when to strike the right balance.
Data Security and Compliance
Data security and compliance are paramount. Salesforce offers robust security features, but it's essential to configure them correctly to meet your clients' unique security requirements. Understanding data protection laws and industry-specific compliance standards is vital for building trust with your clients.
Effective Project Management
Successful Salesforce implementations require effective project management. Ensure your consulting team is well-versed in project management methodologies like Agile or Scrum. Effective communication, setting clear expectations, and managing scope changes are all essential for a smooth implementation process.
Client Collaboration and Training
Your relationship with the client doesn't end with the implementation. Offer training and support to help your clients fully utilize Salesforce's capabilities. Collaboration is key – work closely with your clients to understand their evolving needs and provide ongoing solutions.
Leverage the Salesforce Ecosystem
Salesforce's ecosystem is vast, with thousands of apps and integrations available on the AppExchange. Utilize this ecosystem to extend the capabilities of Salesforce and provide tailored solutions to your clients. Building partnerships with app vendors can also be beneficial.
Conclusion
Being a successful Salesforce consulting services company requires more than just technical expertise. It demands a deep understanding of Salesforce's evolving landscape, industry-specific knowledge, and a commitment to delivering value to your clients. By staying current, investing in certifications, and focusing on client relationships, your consulting firm can thrive in the competitive world of Salesforce consulting services.

It’s been a lonnnnnnng while since I updated this art blog, I know. I fully intended to upload things by the end of 2024, but the holidays left me busy and exhausted.
There’s a lot to say about the last year and my goals for 2025, but for now, I'll use the next week to play some catch-up with sharing my artwork each evening. This will just include the major art and characters I got to in the year, but for other updates and tidbits, feel free to visit and follow me on Bluesky!

I feel like, with the uproar over Nanowrimo right now, we have an opportunity to really push back at shitty AI, but I feel like we also need to be smart about it.
Just saying "Generative AI is bad! Fuck you!" is not going to make a huge dent in shitty ai practices, because they'll just dismiss us out of hand. But if we ask the really hard hitting questions, then we might be able to start making some level of progress.
Mozilla is actually doing a ton of good work towards this very goal.
They've been working to try to shift industry goals towards more transparent, conscientious, and sustainable practices, and I think their approach has a lot of promise.
AI is not inherently bad or harmful (hells, even generative AI isn't. It's just a tool, thus neutral at its core), but harmful practices and a lack of transparency make it to where we can not fucking trust them, at least in their current iterations.
But the cat is out of the fucking bag, and its not going back in even if we do point out all the harm. Too many people like the idea of making their lives easier, and you can't deny the overwhelming potential that AI offers.
But that doesn't mean we have to tolerate the harm it currently causes.

finally feel like I'm at a point where I can share this idea!!! so @cookieg122 and I have been working on an AU for a few months now that's a pretty big departure from the Minecraft stuff we've been working on, as it's more of a fully-original concept instead ;o;
this story has a proper name, as well!! titled Codename: IRIS, the plot centers around a younger Khalan, who gets into gaming as a form of escape from his abusive home life and the stress of moving to a new country/big city. but he quickly finds out that the game console he was gifted actually houses a seemingly-sentient AI - of which he names Aya.
the two go on adventures through various video games to stop a different, malevolent AI that's threatening to corrupt the virtual world; all while utilizing futuristic VR technology to do so. but they also take breaks sometimes with more typical PC gaming and meet Antony along the way, who ends up being a sort of "guide" for Khalan (as the kid is pretty new to video games as a whole) :'0
unfortunately, the virtual threat does end up spreading to the real world as well, which pushes Khalan and Aya (who can move freely between the game console and his phone) to solve challenges within the city itself in a race against the clock to stop the threat - just as long as Khalan manages to get back home in time before his dad finds out;;
there's so much more to this story that I can't really cover in just a single post, but I felt like it was finally time to at least reveal the basics of this concept to y'all!! it's been a lot of fun to re-imagine these characters within a "real life" setting (taking place in an alternate version of Earth in the year 203X), though it's still very sci-fi at its core, lol.
anyway! that's all I can really share for now! hope y'all like ;0;
Aya Armas belongs to @cookieg122. please do not remove caption or repost. also on deviantart

NO SHIT. HOW WOULD THAT AFFECT ME#TRYING TO DRINK A TEA W ROSEMARY#and then looking up the ACTUAL percentages of risk for things. like omg the fuck listeria risks for deli meat are nothing#you have a higher chance of getting in a car accident in which we get in cars and drive multiple times a day#BUT NOBODY MENTIONS BAGGED SALADS OR CANTALOUPE#THE RATES OF LISTERIA IS INSANE#AND THEN YOU HAVE TO SEE WHO SPONSORED THE STUDY#AND WHAT THEY’D POTENTIALLY GAIN FROM THE OUTCOME#AND AHHHGHGHBFDHJGBSHDFBSDJHFBDSJBFSDJ

A lot of people who I see using AI use it because it's "the way of the future" but like. That doesn't negate the real harm it's doing or will do in this future.

Fumes and I got talking and he told me about his factory. Real weird to consider these lil guys are manufactured…
TBH most of it went over my head. Stuff about programs and codes, the reading and distillation of multiversal data. He made it sound like some weird 3D printer that prints out physical goo comprised of binary.
Kinda fucked up but I guess corpos be corpos… and Fumes and I are both happy he exists (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥`)

Elevate Client Services with Excel: Expert Tips for Financial Consultants by Grayson Garelick
Tumblr media
Financial consultants operate in a dynamic environment where precision, efficiency, and client satisfaction are paramount. Excel, as a versatile tool, offers an array of features that can significantly enhance the services provided by financial consultants. Grayson Garelick, an accomplished financial analyst and consultant, shares invaluable Excel tips to help financial consultants elevate their client services and add tangible value.
The Role of Excel in Financial Consulting
Excel serves as the backbone of financial consulting, enabling consultants to analyze data, create models, and generate insights that drive informed decision-making. As the demands of clients become increasingly complex, mastering Excel becomes essential for financial consultants aiming to deliver exceptional services.
1. Customize Excel Templates
One of the most effective ways to streamline workflows and improve efficiency is by creating customized Excel templates tailored to specific client needs. Grayson suggests developing templates for budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting that can be easily adapted for different clients, saving time and ensuring consistency.
2. Utilize PivotTables for Data Analysis
PivotTables are powerful tools in Excel that allow financial consultants to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights quickly. Grayson emphasizes the importance of mastering PivotTables for segmenting data, identifying trends, and presenting information in a clear and concise manner to clients.
3. Implement Conditional Formatting
Conditional formatting is a valuable feature in Excel that allows consultants to highlight important information and identify outliers effortlessly. By setting up conditional formatting rules, consultants can draw attention to key metrics, discrepancies, or trends, facilitating easier interpretation of data by clients.
4. Leverage Excel Add-ins
Excel offers a variety of add-ins that extend its functionality and provide additional features tailored to financial analysis and reporting. Grayson recommends exploring add-ins such as Power Query, Power Pivot, and Solver to enhance data manipulation, modeling, and optimization capabilities.
5. Automate Repetitive Tasks with Macros
Macros enable financial consultants to automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows, saving valuable time and reducing the risk of errors. Grayson advises recording and editing macros to automate tasks such as data entry, formatting, and report generation, allowing consultants to focus on value-added activities.
6. Master Advanced Formulas and Functions
Excel's extensive library of formulas and functions offers endless possibilities for financial analysis and modeling. Grayson suggests mastering advanced formulas such as VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and array formulas to perform complex calculations, manipulate data, and create sophisticated models tailored to client needs.
7. Visualize Data with Charts and Graphs
Visualizing data is essential for conveying complex information in an easily digestible format. Excel offers a variety of chart types and customization options that enable consultants to create compelling visuals that resonate with clients. Grayson recommends experimenting with different chart styles to find the most effective way to present data and insights.
8. Collaborate and Share Workbooks Online
Excel's collaboration features enable financial consultants to work seamlessly with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders in real-time. Grayson highlights the benefits of sharing workbooks via OneDrive or SharePoint, allowing multiple users to collaborate on the same document, track changes, and maintain version control.
9. Protect Sensitive Data with Security Features
Data security is a top priority for financial consultants handling sensitive client information. Excel's built-in security features, such as password protection and encryption, help safeguard confidential data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Grayson advises implementing security protocols to protect client data and maintain trust.
10. Stay Updated with Excel Training and Certification
Excel is a constantly evolving tool, with new features and updates released regularly. Grayson stresses the importance of staying updated with the latest Excel training and certification programs to enhance skills, explore new capabilities, and maintain proficiency in Excel's ever-changing landscape.
Elevating Client Services with Excel Mastery
Excel serves as a catalyst for innovation and excellence in financial consulting, empowering consultants to deliver exceptional services that add tangible value to clients. By implementing Grayson Garelick Excel tips, financial consultants can streamline workflows, enhance data analysis capabilities, and foster collaboration, ultimately driving client satisfaction and success. As financial consulting continues to evolve, mastering Excel remains a cornerstone of excellence, enabling consultants to thrive in a competitive landscape and exceed client expectations.

Installed a sensor on my girl so i know when
#Funy jokey#I've become addicted to cheap zigbee switches and sensors#I set this up so the air conditioner in our bedroom will stop running when the bucket is almost full theres something wrong with me#It works too and i love it :')#Next up is a small switched pump that will pump the water out for a set amount of time#Directly to the balcony plants#Our windowsill is too high up to run the condensed water out with gravity sadly so some kind of reservoir with sensor and pump has to do#Also planning a dedicated channel for outside air directly to the compressor with some kind of blowback valve#I hate mobile acs for how they are designed but there are no good high capacity mobile acs on the market yet#This should mitigate most of the issues though#The main issue is the lack of separation of compression and expansion stages which is why you should use outside air for the former#AND i have an hourly energy price contract which means i should switch the ac on/of on a set of preset conditions#I love tinkering and this is both pretty cheap and actually rewarding us with much better sleep during heat waves & less fuss#Also electricity savings#I put a bunch of stuff on this kind of sensing/logic already and its so nice to see your expenses go down with little to no impact#I feel like such a dad even though i dont have any kids#All of this is completely local and relatively cheap to set up but you have to like tinkering a little#Hmu if you want some advice i can point you away from large cloud based nonsense & help with initial startup#The two investments are a raspberry pi and a zigbee dongle#Possibly also a p1 reader or similar if you want data directly from your utilities#And after that most investments should be 10 dollars max per sensor or switch and most of the ali ones will work#And even have fancy features like somewhat accurately displaying power usage and current#Sorry for extremely rambly long tags i just get excited sometimes
