Hubble Space Telescope: Exploring the Cosmos and Making Life Better on Earth
In the 35 years since its launch aboard space shuttle Discovery, the Hubble Space Telescope has provided stunning views of galaxies millions of light years away. But the leaps in technology needed for its look into space has also provided benefits on the ground. Here are some of the technologies developed for Hubble that have improved life on Earth.
Image Sensors Find Cancer
Charge-coupled device (CCD) sensors have been used in digital photography for decades, but Hubbleâs Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph required a far more sensitive CCD. This development resulted in improved image sensors for mammogram machines, helping doctors find and treat breast cancer.

Laser Vision Gives Insights
In preparation for a repair mission to fix Hubbleâs misshapen mirror, Goddard Space Flight Center required a way to accurately measure replacement parts. This resulted in a tool to detect mirror defects, which has since been used to develop a commercial 3D imaging system and a package detection device now used by all major shipping companies.

Optimized Hospital Scheduling
A computer scientist who helped design software for scheduling Hubbleâs observations adapted it to assist with scheduling medical procedures. This software helps hospitals optimize constantly changing schedules for medical imaging and keep the high pace of emergency rooms going.

Optical Filters Match Wavelengths and Paint Swatches
For Hubbleâs main cameras to capture high-quality images of stars and galaxies, each of its filters had to block all but a specific range of wavelengths of light. The filters needed to capture the best data possible but also fit on one optical element. A company contracted to construct these filters used its experience on this project to create filters used in paint-matching devices for hardware stores, with multiple wavelengths evaluated by a single lens.

Ethera Operation!!
You're the governmentâs best hacker, but that doesnât mean you were prepared to be thrown into a fighter jet.
Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw x Awkward!Hacker! FemReader
Part I

This was never supposed to happen. Your role in this operation was simpleâdeliver the program, ensure it reached the right hands, and let the professionals handle the breaching.
And then, of course, reality decided to light that plan on fire.
The programâcodenamed Etheraâwas yours. You built it from scratch with encryption so advanced that even the most elite cyber operatives couldnât crack it without your input. A next-generation adaptive, self-learning decryption software, an intrusion system designed to override and manipulate high-security military networks, Ethera was intended to be both a weapon and a shield, capable of infiltrating enemy systems while protecting your own from counterattacks in real-time. A ghost in the machine. A digital predator. A weapon in the form of pure code. If it fell into the wrong hands, it could disable fleets, and ground aircraft, and turn classified intelligence into an open book. Governments would kill for it. Nations could fall because of it.
Not that you ever meant to, of course. It started as a little experimental security measure program, something to protect high-level data from cyberattacks, not become the ultimate hacking tool. But innovation has a funny way of attracting the wrong kind of attention, and before you knew it, Ethera had become one, if not the most classified, high-risk program in modern times. Tier One asset or so the Secret Service called it.
It was too powerful, too dangerousâso secret that only a select few even knew of its existence, and even fewer could comprehend how it worked.
And therein lay the problem. You were the only person who could properly operate it.
Which was so unfair.
Because it wasnât supposed to be your problem. You were just the creator, the brain behind the code, the one who spent way too many sleepless nights debugging this monstrosity. Your job was supposed to end at development. But no. Now, because of some bureaucratic nonsense and the fact that no one else could run it without accidentally bricking an entire system, you had been promotedâscratch that, forcibly conscriptedâinto field duty.
And your mission? To install it in an enemy satellite.
A literal, orbiting, high-security, military-grade satellite, may you add.
God. Why? Why was your country always at war with others? Why couldnât world leaders just, you know, go to therapy like normal people? Why did everything have to escalate to international cyber warfare?
Which is how you ended up here.
At Top Gun. The last place in the world you wanted to be.
You werenât built for this. You thrive in sipping coffee in a cosy little office and handling cyber threats from a safe, grounded location. You werenât meant to be standing in the halls of an elite fighter pilot training program, surrounded by the best aviators in the worldâpeople who thought breaking the sound barrier was a casual Wednesday.
It wasnât the high-tech cyberwarfare department of the Pentagon, nor some dimly lit black ops facility where hackers in hoodies clacked away at keyboards. No. It was Top Gun. A place where pilots use G-forces like a personal amusement park ride.
You werenât a soldier, you werenât a spy, you got queasy in elevators, you got dizzy when you stood too fast, hell, you werenât even good at keeping your phone screen from cracking.
... And now you were sweating.
You swallowed hard as Admiral Solomon "Warlock" Bates led you through the halls of the naval base, your heels clacking on the polished floors as you wiped your forehead. You're nervous, too damn nervous and this damned weather did not help.
"Relax, Miss," Warlock muttered in that calm, authoritative way of his. "They're just pilots."
Just pilots.
Right. And a nuclear warhead was just a firework.
And now, somehow, you were supposed to explainâloosely explain, because God help you, the full details were above even their clearance levelâhow Ethera, your elegant, lethal, unstoppable digital masterpiece, was about to be injected into an enemy satellite as part of a classified mission.
This was going to be a disaster.
You had barely made it through the doors of the briefing room when you felt itâevery single eye in the room locking onto you.
It wasnât just the number of them that got you, it was the intensity. These were Top Gun pilots, the best of the best, and they radiated the kind of confidence you could only dream of having. Meanwhile, you felt like a stray kitten wandering into a lionâs den.
Your hands tightened around the tablet clutched to your chest. It was your lifeline, holding every critical detail of Ethera, the program that had dragged you into this utterly ridiculous situation. If you couldâve melted into the walls, you absolutely would have. But there was no escaping this.
You just had to keep it together long enough to survive this briefing.
So, you inhaled deeply, squared your shoulders, and forced your heels forward, trying to project confidenceâchin up, back straight, eyes locked onto Vice Admiral Beau "Cyclone" Simpson, who youâd been introduced to earlier that day.
And then, of course, you dropped the damn tablet.
Not a graceful drop. Not the kind of gentle slip where you could scoop it back up and act like nothing happened. No, this was a full-on, physics-defying fumble. The tablet flipped out of your arms, ricocheted off your knee, and skidded across the floor to the feet of one of the pilots.
Silence.
Pure, excruciating silence.
You didnât even have the nerve to look up right away, too busy contemplating whether it was physically possible to disintegrate on command. But when you finally did glance upâbecause, you know, social convention demanded itâyou were met with a sight that somehow made this entire disaster worse.
Because the person crouching down to pick up your poor, abused tablet was freaking hot.
Tall, broad-shouldered, with a head of golden curls that practically begged to be tousled by the wind, and, oh, yeahâa moustache that somehow worked way too well on him.
He turned the tablet over in his hands, inspecting it with an amused little smirk before handing it over to you. "You, uh⌠need this?"
Oh, great. His voice is hot too.
You grabbed it back, praying he couldn't see how your hands were shaking. âNope. Just thought Iâd test gravity real quick.â
A few chuckles rippled through the room, and his smirk deepened like he was enjoying this way too much. You, on the other hand, wanted to launch yourself into the sun.
With what little dignity you had left, you forced a quick, tight-lipped smile at him before turning on your heel and continuing forward, clutching your tablet like it was a life raft in the middle of the worst social shipwreck imaginable.
At the front of the room, Vice Admiral Beau Cyclone Simpson stood with the kind of posture that said he had zero time for nonsense, waiting for the room to settle. You barely had time to take a deep breath before his voice cut through the air.
âAlright, listen up.â His tone was crisp, commanding, and impossible to ignore. âThis is Dr Y/N L/N. Everything she is about to tell you is highly classified. What you hear in this briefing does not leave this room. Understood?â
A chorus of nods. "Yes, sir."
You barely resisted the urge to physically cringe as every pilot in the room turned to stare at youâsome with confusion, others with barely concealed amusement, and a few with the sharp assessing glances of people who had no clue what they were supposed to do with you.
You cleared your throat, squared your shoulders, and did your best to channel even an ounce of the confidence you usually had when you were coding at 3 AM in a secure, pilot-free labâwhere the only judgment you faced was from coffee cups and the occasional system error.
As you reached the podium, you forced what you hoped was a composed smile. âUh⌠hi, nice to meet you all.â
Solid. Real professional.
You glanced up just long enough to take in the mix of expressions in the roomâsome mildly interested, some unreadable, and one particular moustached pilot who still had the faintest trace of amusement on his face.
Nope. Not looking at him.
You exhaled slowly, centering yourself. Stay focused. Stay professional. You werenât just here because of Etheraâyou were Ethera. The only one who truly understood it. The only one who could execute this mission.
With another tap on your tablet, the slide shifted to a blacked-out, redacted briefingâonly the necessary information was visible. A sleek 3D-rendered model of the enemy satellite appeared on the screen, rotating slowly. Most of its details were blurred or omitted entirely.
âThis is Blackstar, a highly classified enemy satellite that has been operating in a low-Earth orbit over restricted airspace.â Your voice remained even, and steady, but the weight of what you were revealing sent a shiver down your spine. âIts existence has remained off the radarâliterally and figurativelyâuntil recently, when intelligence confirmed that it has been intercepting our encrypted communications, rerouting information, altering intelligence, and in some casesâfabricating entire communications.â
Someone exhaled sharply. Another shifted in their seat.
âSo theyâre feeding us bad intel?â one of them with big glasses and blonde hair asked, voice sceptical but sharp.
âThatâs the theory,â you confirmed. âAnd given how quickly our ops have been compromised recently, itâs working.â
You tapped again, shifting to the next slide. The silent infiltration diagram appearedâan intricate web of glowing red lines showing Ethereaâs integration process, slowly wrapping around the satelliteâs systems like a virus embedding itself into a host.
âThis is where Ethera comes in,â you said, shifting to a slide that displayed a cascading string of code, flickering across the screen. âUnlike traditional cyberweapons, Ethera doesnât just break into a system. It integratesârestructuring security protocols as if it was always meant to be there. Itâs undetectable, untraceable, and once inside, it grants us complete control of the Blackstar and wonât even register it as a breach.â
âSo weâre not just hacking it," The only female pilot of the team said, arms crossed as she studied the data. âWeâre hijacking it.â
âExactly,â You nodded with a grin.
You switched to the next slideâa detailed radar map displaying the satelliteâs location over international waters.
âThis is the target area,â you continued after a deep breath. âItâs flying low-altitude reconnaissance patterns, which means itâs using ground relays for some of its communication. That gives us a small window to infiltrate and shut it down.â
The next slide appearedâa pair of unidentified fighter aircraft, patrolling the vicinity.
âAnd this is the problem,â you said grimly. âThis satellite isnât unguarded.â
A murmur rippled through the room as the pilots took in the fifth-generation stealth fighters displayed on the screen.
âWe donât know who they belong to,â you admitted. âWhat we do know is that theyâre operating with highly classified techâpossibly experimentalâand have been seen running defence patterns around the satelliteâs flight path.â
Cyclone stepped forward then, arms crossed, his voice sharp and authoritative. âWhich means your job is twofold. You will escort Dr L/Nâs aircraft to the infiltration zone, ensuring Ethera is successfully deployed. If we are engaged, your priority remains protecting the package and ensuring a safe return.â
Oh, fantastic, you could not only feel your heartbeat in your toes, you were now officially the package.
You cleared your throat, tapping the screen again. Etheraâs interface expanded, displaying a cascade of sleek code.
âOnce Iâm in range,â you continued, âEthera will lock onto the satelliteâs frequency and begin infiltration. From that point, itâll take approximately fifty-eight seconds to bypass security and assume control."
Silence settled over the room like a thick cloud, the weight of their stares pressing down on you. You could feel them analyzing, calculating, probably questioning who in their right mind thought putting youâa hacker, a tech specialist, someone whose idea of adrenaline was passing cars on the highwayâinto a fighter jet was a good idea.
Finally, one of the pilotsâtall, broad-shouldered, blonde, and very clearly one of the cocky onesâtilted his head, arms crossed over his chest in a way that screamed too much confidence.
âSo, let me get this straight.â His voice was smooth, and confident, with just the right amount of teasing. âYou, Doctorâour very classified, very important tech specialistâhave to be in the air, in a plane, during a mission that has a high probability of turning into a dogfight⌠just so you can press a button?â
Your stomach twisted at the mention of being airborne.
âWellâŚâ You gulped, very much aware of how absolutely insane this sounded when put like that. âItâs⌠more than just that, but, yeah, essentially.â
A slow grin spread across his face, far too entertained by your predicament.
âOh,â he drawled, âthis is gonna be fun.â
Before you could fully process how much you already hated this, Cycloneâwho had been watching the exchange with his signature unamused glareâstepped forward, cutting through the tension with his sharp, no-nonsense voice.
âThis is a classified operation,â he stated, sharp and authoritative. âNot a joyride.â
The blondeâs smirk faded slightly as he straightened, and the rest of the pilots quickly fell in line.
Silence lingered for a moment longer before Vice Admiral Beau Cyclone Simpson let out a slow breath and straightened. His sharp gaze swept over the room before he nodded once.
âAll right. Thatâs enough.â His tone was firm, the kind that left no room for argument. âWeâve got work to do. The mission will take place in a few weeks' time, once weâve run full assessments, completed necessary preparations, and designated a lead for this operation.â
There was a slight shift in the room. Some of the pilots exchanged glances, the weight of the upcoming mission finally settling in. Others, mainly the cocky ones, looked as though they were already imagining themselves in the cockpit.
âDismissed,â Cyclone finished.
The pilots stood, murmuring amongst themselves as they filed out of the room, the blonde one still wearing a smug grin as he passed you making you frown and turn away, your gaze then briefly met the eyes of the moustached pilot.
You hadnât meant to look, but the moment your eyes connected, something flickered in his expression. Amusement? Curiosity? You werenât sure, and frankly, you didnât want to know.
So you did the only logical thing and immediately looked away and turned to gather your things. You needed to get out of here, to find some space to breathe before your brain short-circuited from stressâ
âDoctor, Stay for a moment.â
You tightened your grip on your tablet and turned back to Cyclone, who was watching you with that unreadable, vaguely disapproving expression that all high-ranking officers seemed to have perfected. âUh⌠yes, sir?â
Once the last pilot was out the door, Cyclone exhaled sharply and crossed his arms.
âYou realize,â he said, âthat youâre going to have to actually fly, correct?â
You swallowed. âIâwell, technically, Iâll just be a passenger.â
His stare didnât waver.
âDoctor,â he said, tone flat, âIâve read your file. I know you requested to be driven here instead of taking a military transport plane. You also took a ferry across the bay instead of a helicopter. And I know that you chose to work remotely for three years to avoid getting on a plane.â
You felt heat rise to your cheeks. âThat⌠could mean anything.â
âIt means you do not like flying, am I correct?â
Your fingers tightened around the tablet as you tried to find a wayâany wayâout of this. âSir, with all due respect, I donât need to fly the plane. I just need to be in it long enough to deploy Etheraââ
Cyclone cut you off with a sharp look. âAnd what happens if something goes wrong, Doctor? If the aircraft takes damage? If you have to eject mid-flight? If you lose comms and have to rely on emergency protocols?â
You swallowed hard, your stomach twisting at the very thought of ejecting from a jet.
Cyclone sighed, rubbing his temple as if this entire conversation was giving him a migraine. âWe cannot afford to have you panicking mid-mission. If this is going to work, you need to be prepared. Thatâs why, starting next week you will train with the pilots on aerial procedures and undergoing mandatory training in our flight simulation program.â
Your stomach dropped. âIâwait, what? Thatâs not necessaryââ
âItâs absolutely necessary,â Cyclone cut in, his tone sharp. âIf you canât handle a simulated flight, you become a liabilityânot just to yourself, but to the pilots escorting you. And in case I need to remind you, Doctor, this mission is classified at the highest level. If you panic mid-air, it wonât just be your life at risk. Itâll be theirs. And itâll be national security at stake.â
You inhaled sharply. No pressure. None at all.
Cyclone watched you for a moment before speaking again, his tone slightly softer but still firm. âYouâre the only one who can do this, Doctor. That means you need to be ready.â
You exhaled slowly, pressing your lips together before nodding stiffly. âUnderstood, sir.â
Cyclone gave a small nod of approval. âGood. Dismissed.â
You turned and walked out, shoulders tense, fully aware that in three days' time, you were going to be strapped into a high-speed, fighter jet. And knowing your luck?
You were definitely going to puke.

Hi lovely, I absolutely love your stories. I was wondering if you could write one for Lewis, he has a daughter who is 16-17 and is absolutely smart, like Einstein smart and it's her first time in the Ferrari garage since Lewis moved and she saw a fault in some engineering work and helped fixing it and shocked her father and the whole garage. Thank you
The Future of Ferrari

Ferrariâs Maranello garage was a symphony of whirring drills, clanking tools, and intense Italian chatter. The team was hard at work preparing for the weekendâs qualifying session, red and black suits moving in well-practiced rhythm. Amid the organized chaos, one presence stood outânot because of noise, but because of the absolute silence and awe she left in her wake.
A girl with thick curls pulled into a loose bun and wide, observant brown eyes stood at the edge of the garage. She wore an oversized red hoodie with the Ferrari emblem on the chest, and a lanyard hung from her neck, swinging gently with her movements. Her expression was sharp, analyzing every corner of the room like she was mentally dissecting the internal combustion engine of the SF-24 just by looking at it.
âDaaaad,â she called out, trying not to sound impatient. âWhere do you keep the drinks around here? Iâm thirsty.â
Lewis turned around, helmet under his arm, his eyes immediately softening at the sight of his daughter. âOver there, near the data screens. Just donât unplug anything or theyâll have a meltdown,â he teased, pointing her toward the crewâs refreshment corner.
She smirked. âPlease, I could rewire this place blindfolded.â
He chuckled and shook his head. âThatâs the confidence of a teenager with three physics awards.â
âFive,â she corrected, walking off.
As she moved across the garage, a few of the engineers took notice, recognizing her as Lewisâs daughter. Most had heard rumors of her intellect. She had attended MIT lectures for fun while vacationing in the States and was known for winning national-level science competitions in Europe. But seeing her in the flesh, in their sacred garage? That was new.
She sipped a bottle of water and leaned casually against a pillar, eyes drifting over the open rear of the car. Something wasnât sitting right. She tilted her head, stepped forward a bit, and squinted at the gearbox housing.
A technician walked past her, carrying a tablet. âExcuse me,â she said, stepping closer to the car. âIs that the final mount design for the differential casing?â
The man blinked at her. âUh⌠yes?â
She pointed to a specific joint just behind the casing. âThatâs going to cause micro-vibrations under torque load. The fastener's alignment is 1.3 degrees off. Itâs subtle, but enough to affect the car's handling mid-corner. Especially if it's hot.â
The tech frowned, unsure if he should laugh or worry.
âSorry, who are you again?â
âJust his daughter,â she replied, nodding toward Lewis, who was now talking with his race engineer.
âDo you want to⌠maybe sit down?â he asked awkwardly.
But she stepped past him, crouched slightly, and gestured at a younger engineer who was watching curiously.
âCan I borrow your torque data? Just real quick.â
The engineer hesitated, then handed her the tablet.
She began typing, pulling up schematics, calculations appearing rapidly on the screen. Her thumbs moved like lightning, her brow furrowed in concentration. A few other engineers were gathering now, whispering among themselves.
âI recalculated the stress vector. See?â she turned the tablet toward them. âIt looks fine in theory, but under compound loadâespecially with the way the aero package is set upâitâll shift. Youâll get slight inconsistencies in traction, which is bad news during qualifying laps.â
The older technician whoâd first questioned her stepped forward again. âAre you saying we need to rework this section?â
âIâm saying you need to adjust the mounting bracket by 1.3 degrees, shift the load path just slightly to the left, and reinforce it with carbon-composite washers. If you do that, youâll stabilize the torque vector and improve rear-end consistency in Sector 3.â
There was a beat of stunned silence.
Thenâ
âWhere did you learn that?â one of the senior mechanics asked, blinking.
She shrugged. âI read a paper about torque distribution in high-speed cornering last week. Got bored on the flight here.â
Someone stifled a laugh. Another said under his breath, âBloody hellâŚâ
âOi!â Lewis called, finally noticing the growing crowd. âWhatâs going on?â
The head of engineering, a stern Italian named Matteo, stepped forward and gestured for Lewis to come over.
âYour daughter,â he began slowly, still sounding amazed, âjust found a design flaw we didnât catch. One that wouldâve possibly cost you two-tenths per lap. Maybe more.â
Lewis stared. âWait. What?â
Matteo pointed at her. âSheâs⌠sheâs like a walking CFD simulator. She even pulled up our own torque data.â
Lewis turned to her, his face a mixture of disbelief and fatherly pride. âSweetheart, what did you do?â
She looked up innocently. âI fixed your car. Youâre welcome.â
A round of laughter broke out, but it was warm, appreciative. The crew clapped her on the back, some shaking their heads in awe.
âSheâs incredible,â Matteo said to Lewis. âYou sure sheâs not secretly part of Red Bullâs spy program?â
Lewis laughed. âTrust me, if she were, weâd all be in trouble. Sheâs probably smarter than half the grid already.â
âIâm smarter than you,â she teased.
âAbsolutely no doubt about that,â he replied with a grin, ruffling her hair.
She smoothed it down with a roll of her eyes. âSo dramatic.â
The engineers quickly got to work implementing her suggestions. Matteo kept glancing back at her like she was some kind of wizard. Lewis watched with arms folded, his heart swelling.
After a while, she stood beside him, watching the updated component go onto the car.
âSo⌠what did you think?â he asked gently.
She tilted her head. âItâs loud. Smells like oil. Half the men here donât know how to hold a tablet properly.â
Lewis laughed. âWelcome to Formula One.â
She smiled. âItâs cool, though. I like it.â
He nudged her shoulder. âYou ever think about working in this world someday? Engineering, maybe?â
She glanced at him, then back at the car. âMaybe. If they can keep up.â
He chuckled again. âNo pressure, but⌠you made me proud today.â
She looked at him seriously. âYouâre always proud.â
âTrue. But today, Iâm blown away. You just walked into one of the most elite garages on the planet and made a critical engineering correction before lunch.â
She gave a shy smile, shrugging. âJust saw something wrong and fixed it.â
He wrapped an arm around her shoulders. âYouâve always done that. In your own way.â
As the car roared to life for testing, the modified part holding firm, Lewis and his daughter stood side by side, two Hamiltonsâone a living legend of the track, the other a rising genius who might just change the sport in her own quiet, brilliant way.
And somewhere behind them, Matteo whispered to a fellow engineer, âKeep an eye on her. Sheâs the future.â

Like her or not, we're now on the same side and this woman knows what she's talking about. She suggests actionable steps steps we must take to win ourcountry back from the fascists.
From Liz Cheney
Dear Democratic Party,
I need more from you. You keep sending emails begging for $15,while weâre watching fascism consolidate power in real time. This administration is not simply âa different ideology.â It is a coordinated, authoritarian machine â with the Supreme Court, the House, the Senate, and the executive pen all under its control. And you? Youâre still asking for decorum and donations. WTF. That wonât save us. I donât want to hear another polite floor speech. I want strategy. I want fire. I want action so bold it shifts the damn news cycle â not fits inside one. Every time I see something from the DNC, itâs asking me for funds.
Surprise. Those of us who donate donât want to keep sending money just to watch you stand frozen as the Constitution goes up in flames â shaking your heads and saying, âWell, thereâs not much we can do. He has the majority.â I call bullshit. If you donât know how to think outside the box⌠If you donât know how to strategize⌠If you donât know how to fight fire with fire⌠what the hell are we giving you money for? Some of us have two or three advanced degrees. Some of us have military training. Some of us know what coordinated resistance looks like â and this ainât it. Yes, the tours around the country? Nice. The speeches? Nice. The clever congressional clapbacks? Nice. That was great for giving hope. Now we need action.
You have to stop acting like this is a normal presidency that will just time out in four years. Weâre not even at Day 90, and look at the chaos. Look at the disappearances. Look at the erosion of the judiciary, the press, and our rights. If you do not stop this, we will not make it 1,460 days. So hereâs what I need from you â right now:
⸝
1. Form an independent, civilian-powered investigative coalition.
Iâm talking experts. Veterans. Whistleblowers. Journalists. Watchdog orgs. Deputize the resistance. Build a real-time archive of corruption, overreach, and executive abuse. Make it public. Make it unshakable. Let the people drag the rot into the light. If you canât hold formal hearings, hold public ones. If Congress wonât act, let the country act. This isnât about optics â itâs about receipts. Because at some point, these people will be held accountable. And when that day comes, weâll need every name, every signature, every illegal order, every act of silenceâdocumented. Youâre not just preserving truth â youâre preparing evidence for prosecution. The more they vanish people and weaponize data, the more we need truth in the sunlight.
⸝
2. Join the International Criminal Court.
Yes, I said it. Call their bluff. You cannot control what the other side does. But you can control your own integrity. So prove it. Prove that your party is still grounded in law, human rights, and ethical leadership. Join. If youâve got nothing to hide â join. Show the world whoâs hiding bodies, bribes, and buried bank accounts. Force the GOP to explain why theyâd rather protect a war criminal than sign a treaty. And while youâre at it, publicly invite ICC observers into U.S. borders. Make this administration explain â on camera â why theyâre terrified of international oversight.
⸝
3. Fund state-level resistance infrastructure.
Donât just send postcards. Send resources. Channel DNC funds into rapid-response teams, legal defense coalitions, sanctuary networks, and digital security training. If the federal government is hijacked, build power underneath it. If the laws become tools of oppression, help people resist them legally, locally, and boldly. This is not campaign season â this is an authoritarian purge. Stop campaigning. Act like this is the end of democracy, because it is. We WILL REMEMBER the warriors come primaries. Fighting this regime should be your marketing strategy.
And letâs be clear:
The reason the other side always seems three steps ahead is because they ARE. They prepared for this. They infiltrated school boards, courts, local legislatures, and police unions. They built a machine while you wrote press releases. Weâre reacting â theyâve been executing a plan for years. Itâs time to shift from panic to blueprint. You should already be working with strategists and military minds on PROJECT 2029 â a coordinated, long-term plan to rebuild this country when the smoke clears.
You should be publicly laying out:
⢠The laws and amendments youâll pass to ensure this never happens again⢠The systems youâll tear down and the safeguards youâll enshrine ⢠The plan to hold perpetrators of human atrocities accountable ⢠The urgent commitment to immediately bring home those sold into slavery in El Salvador You say youâre the party of the people? Then show the people the plan.
⸝
4. Use your platform to educate the public on rights and resistance tactics.
If theyâre going to strip us of rights and lie about it â arm the people with truth. Text campaigns. Mass trainings. Downloadable âKnow Your Rightsâ kits. Multilingual legal guides. Encrypted phone trees. Give people tools, not soundbites. We donât need more slogans. We need survival manuals.
⸝
5. Leverage international media and watchdogs.
Stop hoping U.S. cable news will wake up. Theyâre too busy playing both sides of fascism. Feed the real stories to BBC, Al Jazeera, The Guardian, Reuters, Der Spiegel â hell, leak them to anonymous dropboxes if you have to. Make whatâs happening in America a global scandal. And stop relying on platforms that are actively suppressing truth. Start leveraging Substack. Use Bluesky. Thatâs where the resistance is migrating. Thatâs where censorship hasnât caught up. If the mainstream wonât carry the truth â outflank them. Get creative. Go underground. Go global. If our democracy is being dismantled in broad daylight, make sure the whole world sees it â and make sure weâre still able to say it.
⸝
6. Create a digital safe haven for whistleblowers and defectors.
Not everyone inside this regime is loyal. Some are scared. Some want out. Build the channels. Encrypted. Anonymous. Protected. Make it easy for the cracks in the system to become gaping holes. And while youâre at it? Stop ostracizing MAGA defectors. Everyone makes mistakes â even glaring, critical ones. We are not the bullies. We are not the ones filled with hate. And it is not your job to shame people who finally saw the fire and chose to step out of it. They will have to deal with that internal struggle â the guilt of putting a very dangerous and callous regime in power. But theyâre already outnumbered. Donât push them back into the crowd. We donât need purity. We need numbers. We need people willing to burn their red hats and testify against the machine they helped build.
⸝
7. Study the collapseâand the comeback.
You should be learning from South Korea and how they managed their brief rule under dictatorship. They didnât waste time chasing the one man with absolute immunity. They went after the structure. The aides. The enforcers. The loyalists. The architects. They knocked out the foundation one pillar at a time â until the âstrongmanâ had no one left to stand on. And his power crumbled beneath him. You should be independently investigating every author of Project 2025, every aide who defies court orders, every communications director repeating lies, every policy writer enabling cruelty, every water boy who keeps this engine running. You canât stop a regime by asking the king to sit down. You dismantle the throne heâs standing on â one coward at a time.
⸝
Stop being scared to fight dirty when the other side is fighting to erase the damn Constitution.
They are threatening to disappear AMERICANS. A M E R I C A N S. And your biggest move canât be another strongly worded email. We donât want your urgently fundraising subject lines. We want backbone. We want action. We want to know youâll stand up before weâre all ordered to sit down â permanently. We are watching. And I donât just mean your base. I mean millions of us who see exactly whatâs happening. Iâve only got 6,000 followers â but the groups Iâm in? The networks I touch? Over a quarter million. Often when I speak, it echoes. But when we ALLÂ speak, it ROARS with pressure that will cause change. We need to be deafening. You still have a chance to do something historic. To be remembered for courage, not caution. To go down as the party that didnât just watch the fall â but fought the hell back with everything they had.
But the clock is ticking.
And the deportation buses are idling.
* * * *
UPDATE AND NOTE:
I have received (what seems like) several hundred copies of a document allegedly authored by Liz Cheney entitled, âDemocrats, I need more from you.â The âletterâ was not authored by Cheney, but by someone who does not appear to have a readily identifiable profile as a pro-democracy activist. The purported author, âDr. Pru Lee,â may not be the real identity of the author.
Setting aside the mysterious source of the letter, it has struck a chord with many Democrats. Indeed, many of the copies forwarded to me are accompanied by emails that express some sense of satisfaction that the author has criticized the Democratic Party for its failures and laid out a sensible plan for a path forward.
I suspect the letter was written by a Democratic consultant or insider who is upset with the progressive wing of the party and/or the grassroots movement. The author says, in part,
Yes, the tours around the country? Nice. The speeches? Nice. The clever congressional clapbacks? Nice. That was great for giving hope. Now we need action Donât just send postcards. Send resources.
Many of the ârecommendationsâ in the letter arenât realisticâeither in a reasonable timeframe or ever. For example, the letter demands the Democratic Party
Form an independent, civilian-powered investigative coalition. Deputize the resistance. Join the International Criminal Court. Fund state-level resistance infrastructure. Stop campaigning. You [the Democratic Party] should be publicly laying out: ⢠The laws and amendments youâll pass to ensure this never happens again ⢠The systems youâll tear down and the safeguards youâll enshrine ⢠The plan to hold perpetrators of human atrocities accountable.
I endorse the authorâs passion and understand how the author has managed to channel the anger of rank-and-file Democrats toward their party. But it simply isnât productive or helpful during this moment of crisis to devote our resources to attacking the Democratic Party.
Hereâs a thought experiment: If you have forwarded the above letter to your closest one hundred friends and relatives, try drafting a sequel that begins, âDear Republicans, I need more from you . . . .â
The virtue of the âDear Republicansâ version of the letter is that it shifts the focus to where it belongs: On those who are enabling Trump, rather than on those who are resisting him.
Is the resistance perfect? No. Is the Democratic Party perfect? No. Are congressional Democrats perfect? No. But compared to their Republican counterparts, Democrats look like heroes of democracy, warts and all.
Democrats arenât the problem. They are the solution. Be part of the solution. We can sort out the credits and debits after we reclaim democracy!

New Blood, Old Regards
Thanks to @eyeofthenewt1 for this art piece!
Greetings! Although the Stats Team is still in a state of retirement, weâve periodically updated several of our Campaign 3 Running Stats categories and galleries thanks to the efforts of a new team of data collectors. This team, consisting of Archivists Astral, Ethereal, Fey, and Shadow, have been preparing since the beginning of the year to launch their own site, and that day has come! With that, weâre pleased to present:
The Omen Archive
Although they have been providing CritRoleStats updates for our Campaign 3 records, their site will be its own thing with its own tools, toys, and focuses, such as graphics derived from their own databases of data. Please visit them at their website, reach out to them, and check them out on their various social media pages:
Website: https://www.omenarchive.com/
Twitter/X: https://twitter.com/omenarchive
Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/omenarchive.bsky.social
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/omen_archive/
Tumblr: https://omenarchive.tumblr.com/ ( @omenarchive )
CritRoleStats will continue to update our databases and running stats pages with the data we receive from the Omen Archive until the end of the campaign, so that anyone from academics to casual fans have access to a complete catalogue of three campaigns worth of data. After that, our site will be completely (accessibly) archived, and our legacy will be carried on entirely by projects like the Omen Archive.
Thanks Are In Order
Outside of our final livecast, we realize we went out without the proper thanks to the community members who helped us grow. Weâd like to take this opportunity to give credit where we feel itâs due.
Weâd like to thank the team at Critical Role for their support over the years, with special thanks to Dani Carr for both her wonderful spirit, tenacious work ethic, and the marvelous send-off she gave us.
Weâd like to thank the creators in the community. Thank you to the artist community for letting us feature your wonderful talent to give vibrancy to the numbers and words weâve filled. Thank you to the information gathering community, from the wiki workers to the meta analysts, for giving your time to help make Critical Role more accessible. Thank you to the academics for finding value we didnât know we had in our work. Thank you to everyone who creates in this community, whether your medium is music, words, stats, or art; whether you share for a large audience or for the joy of your private home or table; whether you encourage others with high presence, or quietly inspire and support from the shadows. Your creation makes the world a more interesting place.
Weâd like to thank both our patrons and our Ko-Fi supporters for allowing us to carry on for as long as we have, and to make sure our work can continue to reach those who want to be informed and inspired. Thank you to our regular visitors, as well; traffic is supportive in several ways!
Thank you to those who have been with us, whether itâs the very beginning, sometime in the middle, or even if youâre tuning in just now. Your patronage and your expression of value in our work has been a blessing. (Thanks for the 1d4.) Weâd also like to thank everyone who has continued to visit the site in spite of the lack of regular content creation on our part, and are grateful that so many of you are still finding use in the previous campaignsâ worth of data, as well as the current one.
We love you all very much. Now, back to retirement!

"Harm reduction for diy hrt" WHAT HARM ??? SHOW ME THE HARM !!!
Years of paying attention and talking w ppl, not ONE "so&so happened to my buddy's metamour's friend" report of a major incident let alone a credible even 2nd or 3rd hand case study.
Actualized negative events associated with DIY hrt i DO have credible reports of: 1) swollen/itchy/painful injection sites in people reusing needles, not sterilizing vial tops, using poor injection technique 2) mild to moderate allergic reactions to carrier oils 3) using an ineffective dose with minor to moderate mood disturbances, flares of some autoimmune conditions, fatigue/weakness/brain fog/pain in people already susceptible to chronic pain, that subside with dosing/cycle adjustments
NONE OF THESE ISSUES are UNIQUE to the DIY element. In the cases of 2 and 3, there are significant pros to DIY bc it is easier/cheaper to access a preparation without an allergen when you are your own compounding pharmacy, and dosage changes can be made without permission/folks aren't stuck on shitty doses that could possibly create more significant health problems down the line for extended periods while waiting for prescriber approval to change.
Injection protocol education for IV NEEDLE DRUG USERS is harm reduction because there is HARM associated with the socio-medical conditions created by the war on drugs to ACTIVELY BLOCK access to safer use knowledge and tools. There is REAL HARM in the REAL WORLD that is REDUCED by addressing politically-introduced risk vectors in a specific class of autonomous medicine use.
Harm reduction is a specific term for a specific socio-medical concept regarding activities that, while involving inherent risk (as most aspects of Being Alive do!), occupy a position of ARTIFICIALLY INFLATED RISK due to criminalization, policing, and specific means of knolwege gatekeeping and/or disruption of transmission. As a term it has a specific history and purpose, to assert that the same risk mitigation and best-possible/acceptable/desirable care options should be available to all people regardless of their participation in stigmatized or illicit activities.
Discussion of risk and protocols associated with any form of medicine is vital to building robust, effective, desirable, and sustainable common-knowledge medical strategies; but to be effective at that these discussions have to be as accurate to the data points they describe as possible. Referring to risk mitigation strategies that do not address ACTUALIZED CONDITIONS RESULTING IN HARM as "Harm reduction" is inaccurate and occludes reality. One reason this is bad, among many, is that the fact that widespread negative events unique to the DIY element of DIY HRT are not CURRENTLY actually happening could potentially be an important datapoint in problem solving if it DOES happen in the future. If in three weeks some kid or collective somewhere starts DIYing and getting really sick, it is important for those people to know that THAT IS WEIRD!!!!!! and deserves a lot of detailed exploration of what went wrong, & not just assume that they just got unlucky/didn't Reduce Harm good enough.
Just say "these are what i think are best practices based on xyz evidence," and leave it at that. If for some reason you're uncomfortable saying THAT, it's probably a sign you don't know enough about what you're talking about and need to interrogate your epistemology more before opening your mouth to tell other people what to do.
That is all.

Do you have any more fluffy Jade/ Floyd captivity thoughts for us? Particularly spending Christmas with either of them?
ThinkingâŚ.. decorating your lab office for the holidays and the eels curiously watch you from where they lurk in their tanks, wondering what youâre doing with all of the pretty, shiny things. They wonder if this is like the human equivalent of a nest or a grotto and youâre preparing it specifically for them. If thatâs the case, theyâre very intrigued by your interior decorating. Youâve certainly caught their eyes. If this was the sea, all of those lights would definitely attract all kinds of mersâŚeven predators.
You string garland and cheap strands of lights around your desk. You even brought in a small tree to hang all kinds of decorations and ornaments on. The eels are absolutely enamored when you plug in the lights and they brighten up the space with holiday cheer. Quite a festive nest youâve made for yourself.
When you check in on them later that evening, just as youâre getting ready to leave, you notice theyâre both glowingâbioluminescence cutting strips of light through the gloom. This is notably brighter than their usual glow. You wonder what it means because their tank is kept at optimal temperatures for deep-sea mers, so there should be no need for them to be in season. Thatâs not until early spring, if all the data youâve collected on them is anything to go by, and there arenât any mates nearby. Strange. Maybe theyâre mimicking the lights?
Alternatively, imagine youâve been playing nothing but Christmas music while you work to get into the holiday spirit, and the next time you see them theyâre both trying to imitate the songs theyâve heard with musical clicks and calls. :D two eels attempting to serenade you with Christmas music theyâve picked up over the month youâve been playing it!! <3 and of course when they learn this is the season of giving gifts theyâre quick to act, fastening the bones from their meals into cute shapes and tools for you. You are their favorite lab coat, after all~ of course itâs a much more intimate gesture coming from them, but you might not immediately understand that. :)

Interview to celebrate the opening of the Ryoko Kui Exhibition
About Delicious in Dungeon: Story making
Q1. Your first long-running series has lasted for about 9 and a half years. Has it been different from your previous experience drawing short stories?
A1. Compared to short stories, the series has been easier because the same characters appear each time. But I was surprised to find that I got tired of drawing the same characters too many times.
Q2. You have said before that the overall structure of the story was decided before serialization began, but how much of that had you communicated to your editor? Also, what kind of communication did you have during the series production?
A2. The goal was something we discussed and had decided on from the beginning. The goal itself was simple, but the path to get there was more difficult and took longer than imagined.
Q3. Regarding the overall story concept and development, did you write out or put anything down in writing (such as the plot)?
A3. I did, but it was simple.
Q4. Did you come up with the dishes based on the monsters you wanted in the story? Or did you come up with the monsters based on the dishes?
A4. It depended on the story, but usually the story came first followed by the monsters or food. I feel like that was most often the order.
Q5. As you progressed in drawing the series, what elements of the characters, story, or world expanded or grew in the most unexpected way?
A5. Nothing particularly unexpected perhaps. When I used to draw web manga, I tended to think up inconsequential settings. So, from the beginning I tried to restrain myself as much as possible and not expand too much. I was surprised when my editor said "Let's expand it more," in the second half of the series.
Q6. "Delicious in Dungeon" starts with a relatively simple setting, but as the series and the labyrinth exploration continues, the map slowly expands little by little in the readers' minds. It becomes more three-dimensional, revealing the secrets of the world, and taking on a multilayered structure. Are there any sources that you used as a reference, or which influenced you in creating this multilayered structure?
A6. A long time ago, when I was working on my personal web manga (fantasy), I drew it however I wanted, thinking that "Only people who can read this will read it," but I regularly received feedback that it was "unreadable", so I tried to make it as easily. accessible as possible.
Q7. The series combines many elements, including "fantasy", "gourmet", "battles", and "puzzle solving", but I think it's also important that it is a "comedy" which makes people laugh. Could you let us know if you have a creative commitment towards depicting humor?
A7. My hopes are that I can make it fun for people to read.
[page 5]
About Delicious in Dungeon: Drawing manga
Q1. Please tell us about the drawing tools you currently use, both digital and analogue.
A1. In terms of analogue tools, I use a light box, a G pen, a round pen, and a brush pen. And for digital, I use CLIP STUDIO PAINT and a Wacom LCD tablet. Screentone pasting is always done on the computer, so ultimately it all ends up as a digital manuscript.
Q2. Do you have any rules or reasons for using digital and analog separately?
A2. I'm always looking for ways to draw better and save time, so the exact approach is probably different for almost every chapter. Personally, I feel that analogue methods create more appealing lines, but I feel like digital saves time, so maybe I'll do a digital rough sketch and do the inking by hand⌠I might have been using a G pen, and maybe I'll try out a turnip pen, or this time I'm short on time so I'll draw it entirely digitally, but with digital I can redo it over and over, so maybe analogue is still faster, and so on and so forth. I'm indecisive in this way and so haven't developed a consistent process.
Q3. I understand that you prepare 3D data for your assistants to draw the backgrounds. What kind of data did you make for "Delicious in Dungeon" ?
A3. You could call it 3D, but it's not a proper model, just something to help with the rough sketching. I line up cubes to share the perspective and sense of scale, and they use it as a reference.
Q4. At the beginning of the series, the characters and backgrounds were somewhat simply drawn, and it seems like they became richly detailed over the progression of the story. What was your intention behind using these different styles?
A4. It's simply that my technique isn't stable. I thought I'd put a lot of effort in at the start. I remember being confused when my editor asked me to add more in to the drawing, and I wondered "Where"
Q5. Thinking about the food, were there any menu illustrations that you were particularly satisfied with, or which you struggled with?
A5. I've never liked my own food illustrations. But the times when I read other people's manga and thought "That looks delicious," I think it's been more an influence of the movement, the staging, and the situation than the drawings.
Q6. For the world maps and the terrain of each continent, did you refer to any maps of the real world? I feel like the shape of the 'island' is similar to the shape of Fukuoka Prefecture or Kyushu.
A6. I didn't reference any specific geography, but I did try to put thought into things like whether a developed city would be near a river or the sea, and what the coastline would look like. I'm pleased if it feels similar to a real place, because it means my interpretation was pretty accurate.
About Delicious in Dungeon: Other
Q1. Which is your favorite monster?
A1. Nightmare.
Q2. I'm sure you have received a lot of feedback from readers in countries and regions outside of Japan. Please tell us if there was anything from them that made you happy, was unexpected, or which made a lasting impression on you.
A2. When you play foreign games, there are times when you think "Why did they translate it into Japanese like that?" But having been on the side of having something translated, I've realized some things are unavoidable, or endless, and there are many things that don't matter either way from the author's perspective, so it was interesting.
About Ryoko Kui's short story collections and herself
Q1. Dragons are a consistent and important motif in your work. Was there any particular work or experience which inspired this? Also, are there points about drawing dragons which you find interesting or have had to work hard on?
A1. It's less about liking dragons, and more that I'm interested in the worlds in which dragons exist. When I draw dragons, the depiction in itself has a sweet feeling to it. I have never had a pet reptile, so I don't have a very good understanding of them.
Q2. Unomiya University in your story "The dragon's school is on top of the mountain" has a Faculty of Dragons, Department of Environmental Studies, and Department of Technology Studies, and a Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. If you were to enroll in the university, which department or faculty would you like to enter?
A2. I probably wouldn't be acceptedâŚ.
Q3. The collection includes a short story staged as an essay manga. Are you a fan of essay manga? Please tell us about any genres of essay manga that you like.
A3. I love all kinds of essay manga. I read them often.
Q4. If you were to make your own game, what kind of game would you like to make?
A4. I prefer being a player when it comes to games.
Q5. When did you first start drawing illustrations (doodles)?
A5. I don't exactly remember when I first drew a picture, but I think I started drawing manga around the fourth or fifth grade of elementary school. in my notebooks and had my friends read them.
Q6. What is the most fun part about drawing manga?
A6. Every part is fun and hard in its own way.
Q7. Please tell us if there is anything you "just can't stop no matter what".
A7. My procrastination habit.
Q8. Could you please tell us if there's something you want to draw now?
A8. I've been working continuously since the serialization, so I'd like to take about 2 to 3 months to just draw whatever I want.

From Fear and Loathing: Closer to the Edge on Facebook
Heading to a âHands Off!â protest this Saturday? Hereâs everything you need to know â your rights, safety tips, and what to do if arrested.
On Saturday, April 5, people across the United States will gather for a coordinated day of resistance. From major cities to small towns, the âHands Off!â protests are about drawing a hard line â against political overreach, creeping authoritarianism, and policies that strip away our rights and dignity.
Whether youâre marching in New York City, Dallas, Chicago, or a rural square in Nebraska, your presence matters. So does your preparation.
Hereâs your nationwide guide to showing up â and staying safe while doing it.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS (AND WRITE THEM ON YOUR ARM)
Before you arrive: Write the local legal support hotline number on your arm in permanent marker. In many cities, National Lawyers Guild (NLG) chapters will operate hotlines and send legal observers.
Say: âI am exercising my right to remain silent. I want a lawyer.â
Ask: âAm I being detained or am I free to go?â
If detained, remain silent.
If not, walk away calmly.
Legal observers (often in green hats/vests) are there to document police behavior â not to represent you legally. You can notify them if you witness abuse or misconduct.
WHAT TO BRING
Pack like youâre staying awhile and planning for anything:
Water and snacks
Face mask, hand sanitizer, and sunscreen
Phone with passcode lock (NOT Face ID/fingerprint)
External battery pack
Cash (for food, transit, emergencies)
Printed emergency contacts
Comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate clothing
Goggles or saline drops (in case of tear gas, depending on region)
Donât bring:
Weapons (or anything that could be construed as one)
Illegal substances
Anything you wouldnât want seized or photographed by law enforcement
STAY SAFE, STAY CALM, STAY NON-VIOLENT
Stick together. Stay with your group. Have a plan if separated.
Avoid confrontation. Ignore counter-protesters and agitators.
Film what matters. You have the legal right to record public events, including police activity â but donât interfere.
De-escalate when possible. Your goal is to be heard, not baited.
Watch your surroundings. Know where you are and how to exit if needed.
If arrested:
Donât resist.
Donât talk beyond name and birthdate.
Wait for a lawyer.
Donât sign anything without legal counsel.
PROTECT YOUR DATA
Phones are tools â and vulnerabilities.
Turn off Face ID and fingerprint unlock. Use a passcode.
Consider airplane mode during risky moments.
Back up photos/videos or use live stream apps like Instagram or Twitch to preserve footage.
Use encrypted messaging apps like Signal.
RESOURCES BY REGION
While every city differs, these national orgs often have local chapters or partners at major protests:
National Lawyers Guild: nlg.org
ACLU: aclu.org/know-your-rights
Mutual Aid Networks: Search â[Your City] Mutual Aidâ
Bail Funds Directory: bailfunds.github.io
Legal Hotlines: Often listed on local protest pages or announced by organizers day-of
TRANSPORT + ACCESSIBILITY
Plan ahead: Some roads and transit lines may close or reroute.
Carpool or take transit when possible.
If you need ADA accommodations, contact local organizers in advance or ask staff at arrival points.
THIS IS BIGGER THAN A MARCH
This isnât just a protest. Itâs a warning flare â and a promise. That we wonât stand by while our rights are stripped. That we wonât let apathy win. That we see whatâs happening â and weâre not afraid to raise hell, peacefully and powerfully.
So come prepared.
Come together.
And donât let them scare you into silence.
Stay safe. Stay loud.

Edit: the app launched and Is down- I have the initial apology video in a post here and Iâm working on getting a full archive of their TikTok up ASAP. Iâm letting the rest of this post remain since I do still stand by most of it and also donât like altering things already in circulation.
Warning for criticism and what Iâd consider some harsh to outright mean words:
So Iâve just been made aware of the project known of as âlore.fmâ and Iâm not a fan for multiple reasons. For one this âaccessibilityâ tool complicates the process of essentially just using a screen reader (something native to all I phones specifically because this is a proposed IOS app) in utterly needless and inaccessible ways. From what I have been seeing on Reddit they have been shielding themselves (or fans of the project have been defending them) with this claim of being an accessibility tool as well to which is infuriating for so many reasons.
I plan to make a longer post explaining why this is a terrible idea later but Iâll keep it short for tonight with my main three criticisms and a few extras:
1. Your service requires people to copy a url for a fic then open your app then paste it into your app and click a button then wait for your audio to be prepared to use. This is needlessly complicating a process that exists on IOS already and can be done IN BROWSER using an overlay that you can fully control the placement of.
2. This is potentially killing your own fandom if it catches on with the proposed target market of xreader smut enjoyers because of only needing the link as mentioned above. You donât have to open a fic to get a link this the author may potentially not even get any hits much less any other feedback. At least when you download a pdf you leave a hit: the download button is on the page with the fic for a reason. Fandom is a self sustaining eco system and many authors get discouraged and post less/even stop writing all together if they get low interaction.
3. Maybe we shouldnât put something marketed as turning smut fanfic into audio books on the IOS App Store right now. Maybe with KOSA thatâs a bad idea? Just maybe? Sarcasm aside we could see fan fiction be under even more legal threat if minors use this to listen to the content we know they all consume via sites like ao3 (even if we ask them not to) and are caught with it. Auditory content has historically been considered much more obscene/inappropriate than written content: this is a recipe for a disaster and more internet regulations we are trying to avoid.
I also have many issues with the fact that this is obviously redistributing fanfiction (thus violating the copyright we hold over our words and our plots) and removing control the author should have over their content and digital footprint. Then there is the fact that even though the creator on TikTok SAYS you can email to have your fic âexcludedâ based on the way the demo works (pasting a link) Iâm gonna assume thatâs just to cover her ass/is utter bullshit. I know thatâs harsh but if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck itâs probably a duck.
I am all for women in stem- Iâve BEEN a woman in Stem- but this is not a cool girl boss moment. This is someone naive enough to think this will go over well at best or many other things (security risks especially) at worst.
In conclusion for tonight: I hope this person is a troll but there is enough hype and enough paid for web domains that I donât think thatâs the case. There are a litany of reasons every fanfic reader and writer should be against something like this existing and Iâll outline them all in several other posts later.
Do not email their opt out email address there is no saying what is actually happening with that data and it is simply not worth the risks it could bring up. I hate treating seemingly well meaning people like potential cyber criminals but Iâve seen enough shit by now that itâs better to be safe than sorry. Youâre much safer just locking all your fics to account only. I havenât yet but I may in the future if that is the only option.
If anyone wants a screen reader tutorial and a walk through of my free favorites as well as the native IOS screen reader I can post that later as well. Sorry for the heavy content I know itâs not my normal fare.
#itâs especially insulting the way this is marketed as solving a problem when the solution already exists#ableism#lore.fm#terrible app ideas that shouldnât happen#serious#accessibility#screen readers#lore.fm should not launch#accessibility tools that are inherently ableist in design#I wish I was making this up

Time to get my Faction out :D
[Wild Riders]
They are a faction of a rag-tag team of Toons. They basically travel around via the truck, Steel Stallion. They go around from settlement to settlement to do business such as selling weapons and augments as well as buying for supplies and material.
Members in the faction join via being picked up by the leader, Tinkerer. Most of them were found in tight situations like near death scenarios or even when they are at their low, some are pretty great customers of Tinkerer who just decided to hitch on.
This is their Truck, or more specifically, Tinkerer's.
Steel Stallion
Functions as a base, home, workshop, store and more. There are plenty of weapons, augments, armour, utility tools and supplies so take your time scouring through the stocks.

Relationship with other Organizations and Factions. â
Gardenview [Allies/Friendly]:
The Wild Riders have a very beneficial relationship with this organization, especially with those in the Forge. They supply and trade each other with mainly blueprints and materials.
The Merchant Order [Neutral]:
The Wild Riders are technically under this organization, plenty of reliable links and ties to be found there. Mainly just buying and selling goods there.
RUIN CORP [Allies/Neutral]:
Although the Wild Riders primarily go to them for...cleaning. The two benefit from each other a lot, specifically with Harmony.
Zodiac [Enemies]:
Although it's usually either kill on sight or sabotage on the sidelines, the Wild Riders have a primary goalâto make the members in there defected from the place as much as they can, whether it be through fear or convincing.
Plus it be funny if there was a revolution, watch the place crumble on itself.
Vinization [Allies/Neutral]:
Mutual connection for benefit, and a great place where the Wild Riders can get info on the Zodiac through the captured members. It also wouldn't hurt to do a bit of trading with the Retailers, helps both sides.
Hidden Sanctuary [Allies/Friendly]:
Like Gardenview, they provide each other with supplies and material, beneficial for the Builders and Defenders with materials, tools, weapons and augments and the Wild Riders with food supplies.
Overseas Commandment [Neutral/Friendly]:
These two factions don't really meet up often since they travel a lot one on land and the other on sea. But when they do, it's mostly some exchange in information and trading with materials.
The Caravan [Allies/Friendly]:
They most definitely share information as the Wild Riders would aid in giving and improving weapons and augments for better protection. These two factions travel with each other when they get the chance to, after all, there is a certain strength in numbers. Makes the trip a bit more safer.
Phoenix Coalition Organization [Allies/Neutral]:
They most certainly do have different ideals but they do have a certain goal, to protect others and stand united.
With the Defense Division, the Wild Riders will most certainly aid in their mission and especially with evacuation and waves.
At Site Omicron where the Engineering Department is, they mutually help in making even more ichor efficient and powerful tools, weapons, augments and armour.
Meanwhile at Site Thaumiel, the headquarters of the Science Department, they share data and research for more understanding and breakthroughs.
Sentinel and Wild Riders would certainly run into each other plenty of times, it's more of a competition of who does it first really and maybe form a joint operation.
The Wild Riders never truly interacted with the Diplomatic Relations Division, so just be prepared for sudden joint operations, but despite everything help is still help.
Mechanists [Neutral/Allies]:
These faction may not see things eye to eye but they certainly help each other when it's needed.
Sometimes they do come around each other via the Marauders Division in their expedition I'm which they would offer the members to hitch a ride to their destination and target.
With the Moongazer Division, its mainly exchange in material and tech, as well as maybe blueprints.
Masquerade Town [Neutral?]:
...if a single word got out to the Wild Riders that the town is nothing but Twisteds, there's going to be a massacre...
The Field [Tension/Enemies]:
...the ex-member of the Zodiacs in the Wild Riders have given intel of this organization...this place needs to be known but the risk is very much a lot.
Wild Riders mainly avoid this place because it is at risk with all the children in there...mayhaps the other factions can help.
The Greater Good [Tension/Enemies/Allies?]:
Unfortunately, they are enemies (albeit one sided) due to Wild Riders have both an ex-member of the Zodiac and partial Twisteds, maybe they could've been allies under different circumstances but this is not the case.
The Wild Riders take on a more defensive approach to the faction of The Greater Good, often fleeing, their intentions are good but their ways are flawed. But they WILL reluctantly help each other and call it truce when it comes to threats like the Zodiac, Twisteds and especially waves.
