hyperfixated on this game so hard i tried to recreate ac syndicate's animus database using html css and js👍
i will make this responsive though, i've only started doing the frontend but i'll also start doing the backend as soon as i finish this
basically this is gonna be a website that will allow you to create a database of your assassin's creed OCs (btw this was inspired by @gwen-the-assassin's idea <33) and help you with worldbuilding and making AUs (i know the ac fanon wiki already exists for that but i wanted to make the experience of keeping a database more immersive u know....)
this might take a while to be completed, but I'll try to post updates on it as much as possible! if there are any programmers/web developers in the ac fandom that want to contribute to this project plsplspls DM me!!

do you ever have to like. check references to remember cat names. or do you just have a mental database of every cc cat ever
Great question! For like the first two years of running this blog it was basically just a mental database. Like genuinely I just knew them. There's a few cats that I've always had trouble telling apart (like Minx's cats or Martyn's cats) but I used to be able to ID most of them off a photo without you even telling me which CC owned them.
These days it's a bit more to keep track of, I update this blog less often, and I spend less time stalking CCs on social media for cat photos. It is much more difficult for me to remember all their names. So right now, if I forget a cat name, I normally just search this blog for the CC name. My tagging over the years has benefitted me because it allows me to double check things very easily!
#i still remember so many though LOL#if it belongs to a cc never posted before i will normally try to stalk their socials to see if i can find a cat name/ask if anyone knows it#but if it's a cc that we've posted before and i simply forgot the cat name? my tagging system has my back#or vice versa sometimes i search the cat's name if someone makes a submission and only includes what cat it is and not the CC#asks#the mental database thing in the beginning is one reason why i ultimately never added a second mod to help me out#i was like. okay but i just KNOW it all in my head and i'd have to teach someone else this or check their work! lmao

I think if you are a library and don't have an ebook that should be illegal. when you open a library they should just give you infinity copies of every possible ebook for free.

My soul dies a little every time I see a normal person in a casual context bring up which characters have the same MBTI as them simply because 9 times out of ten that's not even the correct MBTI for the person OR the character
#MBTI#my opinions on it are ultimately it's a very flawed system full of holes that shouldn't be taken scientifically at all in any way#and every typology system is also flawed and vibes-based#however personality tests is not where it starts and ends. 16personalities is not MBTI it's big5 with worse questions#and even though personality database as an userbase has gone past “they're introverted so they gotta be an I type” shit#it still doesn't stop them from being egregiously wrong more often than not#don't get me started on people who get so caught up in theory they forget humans are multifaceted#typology is pretty fun for facilitating self-exploration and giving you some sort of framework to work with#and it's good for exploring and writing characters though I think only in the same vein as one would explore oneself#genuinely I think the impact it had on the way I understood myself or others was massive because I suddenly had something to work with#overall just being exposed to the idea that “different people think and value things differently” and list examples to start with is useful#especially when examples are given and some sort of rough categorization exists#it's just labels in the end that don't mean much or anything at all but they're nice#especially because they're not based on immutable traits like your birthday your race etc#by the way tests get my typology wrong almost every time. personality tests will never be the be all end all of typology

Honestly, SRS Airbags are kinda cool.
Like, we managed to fit a safety system in a car in the early 2000s that can, in less than the blink of an eye, detect if your buckled, where you're sitting on the seat, where the seat is positioned, how fast the car is going, how fast the opposing car is colliding, and how much you weight.
In that same "less than a blink of the eye" it then weighs all these variables and decides which of the two airbag explosives it should fire, if either.
Like that's pretty damn cool, and the fact that we did in the 2000s shows you that enshitified tech in cars isn't the norm when automakers actually put a genuine effort forward.

On a random side note I found out the very Christian medical practice I go to offers transgender care because they started asking about my pronouns and a nurse mentioned nonbinary patients. I'm confused, but cool
