Play for Today: Psy-Warriors (BBC, 1981)
"A bomb scare at Aldershot. I see. Attributed to the Provisional IRA."
"They haven't claimed responsibility."
"What if the bomb had gone off?"
"Then the Provisional IRA would've claimed responsibility. Well, why not, eh? We help keep the terrorist's cause in the public eye and the terrorist helps us justify the need for greater security. What's called a symbiotic relationship, I believe."

Daredevil (2003)
Director - Mark Steven Johnson, Cinematography - Ericson Core
"Violence doesn't discriminate. It hits all of us... the rich, the poor, the healthy, the sick. It comes as cold and bracing as a winter breeze off the Hudson. Until it sinks into your bones... leaving you with a chill you can't shake. They say there's not rest for the wicked. But what about the good? The battle of Good vs. Evil is never-ending... because evil always survives... with the help of evil men. As for Daredevil, well... soon the world will know the truth. That this is a city born of heroes, that one man CAN make a difference."

Guys I FINALLY got my reading mojo back this year (I'm 6 books in and it's barely March, I read 6 books TOTAL all of last year..)
My brain loves tracking stuff so I thought it would be fun to share my progress on here (also I'm always seeing authors be like SHARE WHEN YOU LIKE MY BOOKS and I'm like yeah actually that makes sense I will do that.) All of these books were SO GOOD and I recommend reading all of them. In order with my personal rating:
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir (9/10⭐)
A Master of Djinn by P. Djèlí Clark (8/10⭐)
This is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar, Max Gladstone (10/10⭐, made me cry)
Piranesi by Susanna Clarke (10/10⭐)
She Gets the Girl by Rachael Lippincott, Alyson Derrick (8/10⭐)
A Magic Steeped in Poison by Judy I. Lin (8/10⭐)
I recommend going into book 1, 3, and 4 blind for MAXIMUM READING EXPERIENCE
Currently I'm in the middle of The Lightning Thief and Slewfoot which are like.. POLAR opposite vibes.. I read before bed and I started Slewfoot and was like. NOPE THIS IS A DAYTIME BOOK. And I missed the Percy Jackson hype due to age, but I watched the show this year and it was really good so I thought I'd catch up on the books 👀 very good so far

[SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED THE 100]
has anyone else noticed that everyone lost their first "love" (quotation cause some of the following relationships had shitty development)
Abby lost Jake
Octavia lost Atom
Clarke and Raven lost Finn
Jasper lost Maya
Bellamy lost Gina
Lexa lost Costia (assuming she was her lover, don't remember if it was specified)
Luna lost Derrick (I think that was his name and assuming he was her first love for purposes)
Miller lost Bryan
Monty lost Harper
Jordan lost Priya
Gabriel lost Josephine
Echo lost Bellamy (or the real Echo, maybe. either way)
Everyone except Murphy (and well Jackson but eh). (okay technically she did die but he brought her so it doesn't really count) Like they fucked up his whole psyche, but they didn't take Emori. Why is he the only one who got any mercy?
Like they were merciless with everyone. Clarke lost all of her lovers in some way (Niylah betrayed her), both her parents, her best friend TWICE, and her daughter (not even to mention all the shit she went through to survive/save her people and all the hate she got for it, you don't gotta like the character just respect her ruthlessness). They made Bellamy a sheep (multiple times *cough* fucking Pike *cough*) and made his whole death pointless cause he was right and Madi gave herself up like immediately after (so fucking mad you don't even know). Raven lost her childhood best friend/lover after he cheated on her (her childhood for fucks sake), her leg, ALIE (that was bad in general but damn), had to stop her own heart to survive, and then Shaw. Jasper went through it before he took himself out. Monty was hated by his best friend (just the Mount Weather incident), forced to kill his mom twice, watched his best friend die, sent his son into danger, watched Harper die, and never saw anyone he loved again (hell, whether he died of old age or not is still up in the air, they never found a body). They threw sweet Jordan into a horror show by the scruff of his neck. Echo had a childhood for sure. Gabriel had lifetimes of fuckery. The fucking disservice to Lexa (and Lincoln) by having her be shot. Luna killed her own brother and lover then watched her entire clan die. Miller lost his dad and was in the bunker... Abby got her husband killed, the bunker, Kane, and then was just erased (POOF bye bitch👋 wtf). And Octavia (need I say more? I will tho). Raised under the floor, imprisoned for being born, mom dead, dad who?, Atom, Lincoln, Ilian, you are Wonkru or you are the enemy of Wonkru, cannibalism, watched her first kinda child die (Ethan), banished by her own brother, lost time with Hope, and lost Diyoza.
And Murphy went through it too. Like BADLY but he never had to live without Emori.
This post is nothing. I just think that's beautiful.

I’m constantly thinking about the Worst Female Killers in history, and how absolutely fucked up it all is. Violence coming up.
Jodi Arias is one of the most sadistic murders…
…what about Raymond Maltos? Or Jay Clark? Jake Notman? Sahil Khan who brutally murdered a 16 year old girl from Delhi? Ramzy Abidi, John Forajter, Justin Musonda who doesn’t even appear at the top of a google search despite his horrific crimes. What about Ager Hasan, who stabbed his girlfriend 47 times? He got a charge of 2nd degree manslaughter, and 16 years in prison. Why are these men not well known for being sadistic killers?
Aileen Wuornos is famous for being a female serial killer. A monster. The damsel of death. She killed 7 men, robbed them, and left them on the highway. She did not do anything perverted with their corpses…
…unlike Ershad Sikder, who tortured his victims. Or Manuel Delgado Villegas, who got off to murdering women and killed his girlfriend during sex. Or Ivan Milat, who used excessive violence and may have killed up to 37 people. There is Michael Wayne McGray, John Floyd Thomas- a serial rapist and murderer, Kenneth Erskine- raped and robbed elderly women in their homes, David Carpenter- killed women exclusively, Vladimir Kuzmin, Tommy Reco, Derrick Todd Lee, Tomas Maldonado Cera, Peter Manuel, Paul Durousseau, Todd Kohlhepp, Hu Daoping, Nikos Metaxas.
Why do we only hear about the women, when men do it far more frequently and violently? We expect this of men. We expect them to hunt us like prey, and no one bats an eye when they do, but god forbid a woman does something terrible. She’ll go down in history as a monster. These men are one of many, and their crimes are pushed under the rug, forgotten in a year- sometimes less than.
I do not like true crime. It is not something I touch because it is dark and I find it horrifying and sad. This research has been harrowing, and extremely telling. I do not touch true crime, yet I know who Jodi Arias is. I know who Aileen Wuornos is. I did not recognize a single name belonging to a man- not one.

LINKIN PARK SOLDIERS FOR CEASEFIRE
“Turn my mic up louder, I got to say something” - Linkin Park - Hands Held High
As the band remains silent on the ongoing violence happening in Gaza and parts of the West Bank, we, the fans of Linkin Park, will not stand in silence as Palestinians face what humanitarian organizations such as the UN have categorized as genocide.
Hospitals, schools, mosques, churches, bakeries, fishing boats, solar panels, and water tanks have all been targets of bombing by the IDF, funded in large part by American tax dollars. Over 15,000 people have been killed, 6000+ of which are children. Electricity and water supplies have been cut off, affecting millions.
We urge members of the band to use their platform and speak up, to not be silent on their tax dollars being used to fund these atrocities. We call for an immediate ceasefire and a safe exchange of hostages. We call for an end to the siege on Gaza, the theft of homes and land, and the systemic oppression of Palestinians. Enough is enough.
Who cares if one more light goes out? Well, we do.
