i painted this quick study as a challenge to try to beat perfectionism and over-rendering. i really like how it turned out!

i'm back in my potc phase (happens annually) and this red dress always sticks in my mind. it's so beautiful! i love this shot of kiera knightley, the lighting, her expression, her beauty, and her red pirate dress all combine into such a lovely image.

ive already painted will turner (stay tuned, posting him soon!!) but who else should I do a quick study of?? let me know!

What happened to Otis' biological parents? I won't be surprised if something tragic happened for him to end up in foster care.

I honestly didn’t really come up with a backstory for Otis’s parents, I think I’ll leave it unsaid that he was just in the foster system since he was a baby…

But of course his new family cares him very deeply🖤

Once again it's time for #ToonJune and this year I just barely got this in on the first day.

First as always is Favorite Cartoon Character, and as always I return to the mouse.

Most of the time I draw Mickey in his typical happy mood, but this time I decided to draw him in a more panicked mode. Partly because of the last minute panic I was in getting this finished on time, and partly because of my current mood concerning the overall state of the world.

Anyways, here's to another Toon June. Maybe, just maybe I'll make it to the end of the month this time... Or maybe not.
