I've been thinking about RTTE a lot lately, especially how it relates to the movies. I've been wondering a lot specifically about if, under different circumstances, Fishlegs would've wound up with Ruffnut or Heather (or Snotlout, who never canonically dated Fishlegs, but clearly had a crush on him, especially his alter ego). In order to test this, I have loaded up a household of Hiccup, Astrid, Ruffnut, Tuffnut, Fishlegs, Snotlout, and Heather on The Sims 4 and put them all in a house that looks like Dragon's Edge. Now, we wait for the autonomous results. In the meantime, I got Tuffnut a chicken coop and I had Hiccup and Astrid do the weird time travel thing. I'll keep y'all updated.

Dragons: Race to the Edge Normally: What a great show! Such loveable characters with some really fun dynamics! And the plot holds up pretty well, there are so many storylines to explore and most of them are pretty interesting to watch! And because it's technically a kids show, I'm sure that this time these deep and well written characters definitely won't do or go through anything that could cause horrible anguish or uncontrollable sobbing with a side of an unstoppable urge to write a ten page character analysis!!! :D

Watching episode 3 of race to the edge. Hiccup's Dragon being the only one that stayed. First thing Toothless does, hide in the bushes, than surprise tackles Hiccup to give him a kiss. I love them they are so cute. Their bond is so cute. Platonic or romantic they are cute.

BONUS: Toothless so determined he grabs Hiccup's leg, he doesn't realize he took off his prosthetic leg! So cute 😍. And funny! Lol 😆

So was thinking ‘damn I love rtte, but I wish there were more people of color. This person’s Inuit OC is so cool.’

So what if the berserkers were Inuit or basic-unspecified-indigenous-northern-folk, cause I have done ZERO research on this. I think it adds more representation, (given this is a kids show and representation, even if it isn’t all that realistic, is extremely important at a formative age) and it adds more flavor to the world.

And then BAM, it hit me, maybe I would hate Heather less if she looked less basic!

Here is the brief sketch. I think I got a lot more character into her design than “her hair is black cause she’s sad :(”

i love the idea that viggo's issue is that he's always overestimating the dragon riders and that's why he loses. other antagonists always underestimate them, they don't put in all the necessary precautions, which allows the riders to slip through, always throwing parties and gloating before the dragon is in the cage. but viggo?

my man takes so many precautions, his entire island is a war base, and yet, and YET the dragon riders got in by dyeing snotlout's hair blonde, giving him gucci boots and naming him sir ulgertorpe, SIR ULGERTORPE. viggo got catfished by snotlout with blonde hair. he's overestimating them so bad that the IDEA of them "just walking in" doesn't even come to mind. he's ready for fire and death to fall from the sky but a one-legged boy pulling a fast one on him breaks his fancy little english brain.
