Sorry one last thing. It is actually driving me insane how dense people are being about especially whether or not Shoko cares about Gojo.
First and foremost, being a jujutsu sorcerer IS a curse. It means that you are constantly conditioned to perpetuate violence and be desensitized to death and loss as a means to accept how truly suddenly you can lose anyone. It’s a motivation to be strong and not get left behind. This also means going down this path actively fractures relationships and pulls people apart from emotional bonds as to not get too attached (tho obviously, with every close romantic platonic and familial relationship we see it daily, because love perseveres as much as curses do).
Between Shoko’s already sheltered nature due to the utility of her abilities needing to be protected, naturally becoming conditioned to death and loss of her peers intimately as a doctor, and the disparity in strength between her, Gojo, and Geto, emotionally she feels ignored and casted to the side, but most importantly like she couldn’t ever reach them. This is the same vice versa with Gojo and Geto. Because of the immense amount of trauma as well as the nature of what it means to get stronger none of them could communicate nor reach the other.
Despite this literal and figurative gap, her actions and thoughts prove that she cares immensely about Gojo and Geto, and she goes out of her way to reach them in other ways. Something she does know is that Satoru is strong, and I don’t think until the fight actually happened she ever thought there was even a chance he could lose (we see her look genuinely distressed and get distracted as the fight goes on). This is a plan that was absolute last resort that no one wanted or thought would happen. She doesn’t have time to grieve, she doesn’t have time to object anymore. Satoru is gone and everyone is putting their life on the line to defeat the very prevalent threat in front of them. This is also an end Gojo accepted and I don’t think her objection would have changed his mind (however he obviously longs for that validation but can’t receive it bc he’s had to push everyone away since Geto’s defection).
It’s a horrible, despair inducing end for Gojo. It is heartbreaking to see his body reanimated for violence and bloodshed by a student who he tried to preserve the youth and innocence of. But to blame Shoko, who literally does not have another choice and is too occupied with saving other sorcerers and helping defeat Sukuna by healing people to pretend Geto was the only person who cared about Gojo is lunacy. She’s just as emotionally stunted and everyone processes emotions differently.
Gojo, Geto, and Shoko were the best of friends and loved each other immensely. They just didn’t know how to handle the world around them and were unable to communicate and reach each other fully. This is just my opinion tho so what do I know lmao

I forced my mom to watch Bungo stray dogs
For now I only have like 5 of her takes but I’ll update it as we get further into the anime
also she’s only like 6 episodes in so her opinions can and will change(I think).
#1
her favorite character is dazai… wow.
She said she thinks he’s a good guy and he’s reformed and he’s trying to be good and he’s cool and silly (aside from the suicidal part) and she likes how he walks in the S1 outro(real). I feel like she even thought Dazai was the main character for a moment (ngl I still do and i finished the anime).
#2
She hates Naomi. I’m not even lying that’s her only least favorite. Not even Junichiro, JUST Naiomi. I think she was glad when Naomi ‘died’. I mean, it makes sense since her first introduction was as a hostage and second as a brother liking girl straight out of Alabama, but even I have characters I dislike more than her (i think). Maybe she’ll learn to give the ravenette a chance, I don’t know.
#2 1/2
speaking of ravenettes, she thought Ranpo was like 19.
#3
Kunikida’s hair.
She literally had a roast battle with the TV over why the ponytail SUCKED (okay maybe not literally but she had some good points). She literally looked up and mid episode she said “What’s up with this guys braid? His ponytail is scarce can you even call it one?”
#4
she likes Atsushi :3
She said that she liked him so she didn’t want him to die but I think now she’s getting he just… won’t. Also she believes he’s kinda funny.
#5
I don’t think she likes Akutagawa 😭😭
okay fair cause like he tried killing atsushi and 🐕-slapped Higuchi, (like damn I didn’t even remember that) plus he’s a bad guy and she has a strange tendency of hating bad guys and liking good guys.
Something tells me she wouldn’t agree with half of my protag x antag ships…

Gege's payoff followed by setup problem, and why Shibuya Arc is still their finest writing.
Gege's writing structure has become so reliant on catching the readers by surprise that they just won't tell anything to the reader. Going into Gojo vs sukuna and the fight fest it's been since, readers have no clue of if there was any strategic/tactical planning happening (outside of Yuuji training with Kusakabe which is sloowwly coming back to the limelight).
The current buildup by adding emphasis to Sukuna and Yuuji and their dynamic, Yuuji's rage and loneliness and loss, only to bring in a Gojo-Yuuta vs Sukuna part 2 electric boogaloo. Which imo is another fight that has no interesting overarching commentary/themes outside of being the promised shounen strong vs strong fight, in a power system already criticised by both sides for being flawed.
It feels like Gege uses shock value and people eating absolutely anything up if it's about their fav, to bypass any meaningful setup.
The reason why Shibuya had the effect of absolute gutwrenching loss and defeat, is because it was setup so deliciously done. We'd seen the villains literally experiment their ideas with the veils on our heroes with the sister-school event, we've seen them talk about their plan with a lot of details, and how eventually they tweaked it to work better with their new knowledge.
We've seen that the mastermind might be someone from Gojo's past since they talk about how they cant be seen by Gojo, then you have jjk0 which shows the rift and the death of that someone (intrugue! Theyre still alive?? They're still on the bad side with that ending??) , following which you have Hidden Inventory where you see the bond and what caused the rift.
And ONLY THEN do you have everything fall into place when Kenjaku appears and Gojo is tricked because you were tricked alongside Gojo even tho as the reader almost everything was right in plain sight with just the lack of some context. Even the inconsistencies between Suguru's and now revealed Kenjaku's behaviour makes sense.
Althought the setup happened rather non-linearly, all of it was still always before the payoff. And boy, does it pay off.
And when things didn't go according to the villains' well thought out plans, it was still just such a seen yet unforeseen turn of events. We didn't know Yuuji would be fed so many of Sukuna's fingers that Sukuna would take over, but Sukuna taking over was an underlying threat that has been constant throughout the story and it just so happened to take place then).
Everything since the culling games has felt like things just happening one after the other. Short term goals that our protagonists had to complete since no one knew what was even happening. An entire year's worth of chapters of not seeing our protagonists and following new people who didn't/haven't yet done anything to truly warrant that much undivided paneltime. Anyone remember the US gov subplot? Did i dream that?
The last genuinely set up but still pretty shocking event was Sukuna using their binding vow and taking over Yuuji's body only to then take over Megumi's. We knew he wanted Megumi's power and the binding vow was another underlying threat since Yuuji's first death that was waiting to happen. Abrupt? Yes. But it was something hinted happening.
By no means am I saying that the reader should be told everything, that's not how writing works, but have enough at least fall into place when things are revealed instead of showing the puzzle completed then picking out puzzle pieces to show it individually and putting them back. A couple of panels where a character says something vague where you as the reader don't even know if it's something to take into account is NOT good set up.

Eyyy, you're like Shinobu from demon slayer, she's also allergic to fur or afraid of anything that has fur. Idk I forgot
Also idk if you watched it, thought.
I think it’s funny you mention Shinobu from Demon Slayer, because I have a whole shrine dedicated to her in my room (not rn though. We are in the middle of moving so the shrine has been packed up atm)
I love Shinobu! Besides Tamayo she is my KNY wifey 🥰

been rewatching the anime recently for the first time since i was idk 13 and it’s actually better than i remembered. really disliked it before because of the random stuff they added and changed, also the weird fanservice moments. but it’s not that bad so congrats i guess lol
the comic pages are scenes that exist but rewritten to fit my style (dialogue + focus on a specific feeling)
do not erase the caption, use or rePOST my art (reblog ok)
