(also change belief)#as for how The Truth Come Out... this is what i mean by The Isabeau Torment Nexus(tm). which is that i think... isiloop should almost occur #BEFORE isabeau knows who loop is. he's just genuinely charmed by them eventually and tries to close the open end of the polycule #which FREAKS LOOP THE FUCK OUT because thats just too genuinely sick and wrong. and obviously w emotions high its not a great confrontation #ANYWAY told u i had more thoughts. if i were normal itd be a text post but.

So much of Garak as a person starts to make sense once you know his childhood was a fucking gothic novel. His main playground was a graveyard and he'd play pretend by perfoming improv eulogies to an imagined audience. For a long time his main touchstone for most important figures from recent history is 'oh yeah I know about that guy my dad buried him. great flower arrangements for that one'. He finds out later his 'parents' are actually a brother and sister who had to get married to avoid the utter shame and social devastation of having a child born out of wedlock, and they live in the basement of his biological father's house. (the madwoman in the attic vs. the tiny elim in the basement.) His biological father calls himself his uncle and locks him in a closet whenever he fails to live up to his insane and unpredictable expectations and everyone just has to act like that's normal and expected, and his will hangs over everything at all times, unseen but always felt keener than anything else. The father who actually raised him grows the world's most beautiful (and as it turns out, most poisonous) orchids and keeps the mask of a god hidden in a box in his work shed. Everyone in the house is choking down secrets like it's the only air they know how to breathe anymore.

What I'm saying is that right from the get-go this guy never had the faintest shot at turning out normal, so I'm glad that by middle age he's found a way to get a bit silly with it as he continues to be deeply deeply not normal about anything ever <3

PLWEASE send them your questions not me JAJFHDSF #I thought it would be cool if macaque has two separate forms as a shadow and inside a mindscape. like I wanted his shadow form to reflect #him in his prime and then the mindscape form as what he looked like when he died. or a more vulnerable state at least #based on LBD appearing to MK as the ivory lady when she died in the S3 special. I don’t know exactly what it was but my first thought seein #the white void was she was appearing to MK in his mindscape to talk to him. so I built on that #I wanted to give him a more ‘Smokey’ look as a shadow just based on how he manipulates them in the show like in shadow play. I hope this #makes it look cool and immaterial. and then his mindscape form would be more battered up and tangible #the last couple images are chippers ideas though since they said the monkeys are drawn to MK when macaque is possessing him lol #and the fact that macaque doesn’t have any senses unless he’s possessing someone + literally sniffing out wukong in the scroll 🤨📸#I also have a vivid image of macaque moving from the mindscape to physical form like umm. kind of like when he passes the boundary between #physical and spirit/mind(?) it’s like the shadow covers him like ink. or pulling Saran Wrap over your face and it clings to your skin #so it kind of makes the shadow seem like a sort of shell or covering.. and I love the idea of MK meeting macaque in the mindscape for the #first time too. like the moment mac rescues him from LBD and MK sees him all battered and tired looking brooooooo #I’m not even sure if that would count as a mindscape but it rattles around in my brain like loose marbles #god I fucking love this au. gives me imagination fuel swear to god #my art #doodles #lmk #Lego Monkie kid #Monkie kid #lmk au #re-bound!au #rebound au #lmk sun wukong #lmk swk #lmk macaque #lmk six eared macaque #lmk mk #lmk xiaotian

Aziraphale never chose Heaven over Crowley. Aziraphale chose CROWLEY OVER HEAVEN.

What Crowley saw was Aziraphale choosing Heaven over Crowley, and some imagined, idealized Angel Crowley over the real Crowley.

The fandom at large has lots of interpretations. Aziraphale chose Angel Crowley over Crowley. Aziraphale chose humanity over Crowley. Azirphale wanted Crowley to be happy.

BUT.

Azirphale didn't choose anything over Crowley.

Aziraphale chose CROWLEY. He didn't choose humanity, he didn't choose Heaven, he didn't choose some long-dead version of Crowley. He took a bad situation, and he said, Crowley, you're the only person I trust to help me with this.

The Metatron wasn't going to just leave them be. Aziraphale's not stupid. And so he chose Crowley. He chose Crowley above all the angels he's worked with in Heaven, and said you know what fuck them, you're the one I trust, you're the one I want to work with. He said I know you're a demon and you're supposed to be evil and the enemy but I trust you more than I trust ANY of them.

I NEED YOU.

I need you because I don't trust them. I need you because being there alone will destroy me. I need you to help me make things right.

Aziraphale looked at heaven and saw a problem that needed fixing, and then he said I can't do this on my own, and then he said Crowley, you're the only one I trust.

What Crowley heard was, you're the bad guys. You're a demon, and you'll always be less because you're fallen.

But what Aziraphale meant was, I don't care that you're a demon. You're the only one I trust. Please come back to Heaven with me. I want you by my side in Heaven, because you mean so much to me.

What Aziraphale meant was, fuck the others. I love you.
