About 'Samai of Trees':

“I always wanted to write a samai, an ancient form of Arabic music that is built on a meditative 10/8 rhythm. I noticed that when I was writing I was either looking at trees or sitting under a tree in my back garden, so I called it ‘Samai of Trees’. It's a tribute to these ancient guardians of the earth who give so much healing and comfort in these challenging times.”

Ginny met Celaena through both Ron & Lizzie. They vibe b/c they're the youngest siblings of brothers. Celaena taught Ginny the modified version of the Bat-Bogey Hex, and Ginny uses it well to protect Luna from bullies.

Blaise is Theo’s best friend for life. Celaena is Theo’s sister. Therefore, Blaise is also Celaena’s best friend.

Blaise also makes Theo do dumb shit. Between Celaena & Harry & Blaise, Theo has no shortage of dumb shit going on. But Theo can never say no to Blaise when it matters.

Fnaf Free roam game ideas!

- you play as post-scoop Micheal Afton (but sometimes as other security guards)

- You play between sister location and Pizzeria Sim 

- you can explore the pizzerias, the town, the SL bunker, ect…

- you are able to separate mike’s soul from his body for a little while to go into the “dreamscape” (the spirit world void that is black, purple and blue) 

- you are able to meet spirits in the void and talk to them (and run the hell away when you find Cassidy)

- William isn’t allowed in the dreamscape because he sucks

- the in game reason is because he’s in a spring lock suit (doesn’t apply to GF because he doesn’t have a endo)

- you have to hide before you go into the dreamscape because no one wants to see a rotting corpse on the sidewalk 

- multiple endings, on of which is the Arson ending and it’s exactly what it sounds like

- You can get Achievements 

- get a achievement for having a polite conversation with Millie Fitzsimmons (she’s hiding in the dreamscape because Molten Freddy is arguing again)

- Cassidy exists to hunt you down and scream at you

- when you encounter her she yaps at you about how much she hates William

- when you turn the volume down she turns it back up and goes “OH NO YOU ARE NOTT ALLOWED TO IGNORE MEE 😡” and starts again from the beginning

- Elizabeth’s side quest is that you have to find Scrap Baby a tiara otherwise she stabs you with her claw. (She’s happy once you get her tiara though. You can sometimes find her in the dreamscape and if you have done the tiara quest you can give her a hug. She doesn’t mind. Much.)

-A item you can get (read: steal) is a wig and then you can wear it. It does nothing and its definition is “a really cool wig. Look like your hair before it all fell out. It sucks being dead.💀”

The Monarchy of Eternyx.

The monarchy of Eternyx started centuries ago, with the first queen, Regina Hearts, she became queen after uniting all the tribes of monsters under her banner, the capital of her kingdom was Notte, which still is the capital of Eternyx to this day. Regina was known for her philanthropy and being a patron of the arts, which gained her the title of “Mother Monster”, a title that it's given to the queens of Eternyx still to this day. Regina had 3 daughters, Stefani, Joanne and Angelina, and after the death of her mother, Stefani became the queen of Eternyx. Before her death, Regina stated a rule of succession, only women could ascend to the throne, and for over 1200 years, this rule remained mostly unbroken, having a total of 55 queens and 8 kings on the throne.

Royal Houses At first, the only royal house that existed was the Hearts house, but as the time went on, many more royal houses were formed. Some of them were formed because a descendant of Regina became the liege of a certain region, and founded their own dynasty based on that region, or they received a nickname, which would evolve to the name of their own dynasty, or maybe they just changed to their spouse’s last name, here will be listed some of these houses (remembering that all of them can trace their origins back to Regina Hearts)

Main House of Hearts (defunct): The first to be created, for centuries, the Hearts’ dominated Eternyx, but everything changed after the last member of the house, Elizabeth Hearts, died with no children, which led to its extinction, and a minor succession crisis. Shard: The first member of the house was Eleanor Shard (nee Hearts), she was famous for her performances involving glass shards, which led to some people calling her “Miss Shard”, she really liked the nickname, which years later she adopted as her last name and founded her house after it, centuries later, after the death of Elizabeth Hearts, the house of Shard was chosen to be the next leaders of Eternyx, the current queen, Icona, is from this house.

Minor Butterfly: Was named after the dukedom of Butterfly, the current head of the house is Joan Butterfly, who besides being a duchess, is also a performer, Lady Odelia was also once part of this house. Obscure: Named after the light and shadow powers that the members of this house have, the heir to this house is Claire Obscure. Aro’ha’s unknown house: Aro’ha is not interested in Eternyx at the moment, she had fallen in Wackygroove a long time ago and is currently the queen of there, she has no plans on going back. Indra’s family: No additional information is known about.

Extremely minor These houses still have some claimants to the throne, but they are so far away from it, that they aren’t really considerate. Blackthorn: The house of Felicia, Scarlet, and Scotty (adopted) Blackthorn, Felicia is the owner of a Potion shop in Notte, and is the current head of the house. Adameve’s house: No additional information is known about this house. Wayne and Bissett: Branches of the Butterfly house, the members these houses can trace their origins to lady Odelia Butterfly, who moved to Wasterra for a political marriage with liege Adalberto Rosal, they had a child together, but after a rebellion, Odelia and Rosal were killed, and the child was raised by the Bissett family, who had no idea of the child heritage, decades later, the descendants of the child allied with Jae in the current Wasterra civil war, two girls were born during it, Janet and Jane Bisset, the last joined the resistance against Jae, and changed her last name to Wayne, after one of the leaders of the resistance, John Wayne. Rider: The members of this family specialize in shadow manipulation. Dials: No additional information is known. Chase: The Chase’s were a really obscure family, no one knew about their existence until Eva Chase emerged, a famous pop-star and actress (also a burglar, but no one knows that yet), she tried to claim her heritage as a Regina Hearts heir, but her branch in the family tree was so distant, that no one cared about it, and she was ignored, a thing which she didn’t take so kindly…

i saw your tags on that post, can you tell me about the homestuck quadrants? i was hugely into homestuck like 10 years ago but i’ve forgotten almost everything. i want to remember the ancient ways

Matesprit ❤️ is easy, its just what humans see as romance and true love etc. One of the two reproductive quadrants, yadda yadda you get it.

Examples: - Morticia <3 Gomez - Ruby <3 Sapphire - Darcy <3 Elizabeth, with arguably some grey/black romance thru the story but thats what makes it so enduring

Moirails ♦️ is my personal favorite quadrant and is fairly straightforward, tho the canon definition is different from fanon. In fanon, its interpreted basically as best friends/queerplatonic, which, yeah, can and usually does happen with that proximity and thats why I love it, but in canon its more a power balance to prevent violence and death, typically with one figure reining back a more chaotic one. When applying to humans and other fandoms tho its better to lean toward the slightly fanon interpretation since Alternia's violent culture is so different from ours.

Examples: - Nepeta <> Equius - Aziraphale <> Crowley (obvi the situation is changing but lets leave this here) - Dean <> Castiel (obvi i'm team matesprit but canonically they belong here up til cas declares his love) - Joel <> Ellie (this is a strictly platonic quadrant dw) - Caleb <> Nott/Veth (I want to shake liam and sam so bad and explain that the relationship they were looking for was right here and they didnt have to awkwardly choose between romance and friendship)

Auspictice ♣️is the one everyone gets wrong and drives me the most insane. It's a tricky and very specific balancing dynamic thats hard to find, except maybe on the CW. Canonically, its a group of three people, two (left and right leaves) want to outright kill each other. This does not make them kismesis, I cannot stress that enough, kismesis don't want each other dead, but we'll get there in a sec. The third person is meant to prevent them from killing each other, being the mediator. Its rare for this dynamic to not be outright toxic, esp in human examples, but its a healthy option on Alternia to prevent unnecessary murder. I think this dynamic is meant to be temporary tho, even in that culture, as it weighs on the mediator a lot.

Examples: - Eridan <3< Sollux ^ Feferi, unfortunately unsuccessful showing how difficult and straining this relationship type is (also everyone who said eridan and sollux were kismesis owes me $5, I'll become a millionaire instantly) - Edward <3< Jacob ^ Bella - Pearl <3< Greg ^ Steven, a happy ending example of an auspictice (ignore the ptsd)

Kismesis ♠️is. man where do I begin. its so good. its such a fun dynamic, especially when you have a pairing that gets it just right. Kismesis is perfect enemies, arch-rivals that share a mutual respect and drive each other to improve themselves to better outwit their opponent. Its when a captain sees one of their ships on fire and smiles, knowing just who did it. Its tipping your opponents head up by the tip of a sword. Its the bad guy showing up at your doorstep because theres no one else they trust more than their greatest nemesis. Its the other reproductive quadrant because its just as deep and passionate as true love, and it can in fact switch between love and hate very easily and often.

Examples: - Quark <3< Odo (imo the BEST non-homestuck example) - Batman <3< Joker (friend hates when i say this but i'm right, esp with lego batman) - Xavier <3< Magneto - Light <3< L - God <3< Satan, why not lmao

I wish homestuck was seen as less cringe bc the quadrants are SOOO FUN to apply to ships and dynamics in other fandoms and contexts. At the same time, people get the quadrants wrong constantly, especially between kismesis and auspictice. And the quadrants aren't static, you don't have to lock a ship in just one forever! feelings change and very easily turn from black to red to black again, its all so complicated and fun to watch.

Supernova Family Tree

I got a comment on Supernova, asking for a family tree. it turns out that creating a family tree on a computer is a lot harder than I thought it would be! Also, I went back and forth on ages, so forgive me if the dates don't perfectly line up with canon (I had to change them around for some obvious points, like Pollux and Cygnus becoming fathers at 13 based on JKR's tree).

MINISTRY OF MAGIC, HARRY'S OFFICE

Hermione was in Harry's office, sifting through the stacks of papers that were still laying about. It was unorganized, unprofessional, and messy. 

Harry and Elizabeth rush into the office. Harry is bleeding from a graze on his cheek. Elizabeth tosses an icepack into the bin next to Harry's desk. She has a cut above her eye as well, Severus will probably kill her over it later. 

"How did it go?" Hermione asked. 

"It was true." Harry answered. 

"Theodore Nott?" 

"In custody." Elizabeth replied. 

"And the Time-Turner itself?" Hermione asked, interest piqued, waiting in anticipation. Harry pulls it out of his pocket, light reflecting off of the gold. "Is it genuine? Does it work? It's not just an hour-reversal turner- it goes back further?" 

"We don't know anything yet. I wanted to try it out there and then but wiser heads prevailed." Harry said. 

"The wiser heads being me." Elizabeth interjected. 

"Well, now we have it." Hermione said simply, still gazing at the magical instrument. 

"And you're sure you want to keep it?" Harry asked her. 

"I don't think we've a choice. Look at it. It's entirely different from the Time-Turners we had." 

"Apparently wizardy has moved on since we were kids." Harry said dryly. 

"You're bleeding." Hermione said, which encouraged Harry to look in the mirror. He dabbed at the cut with his robes, making both of the women roll their eyes. "Don't worry, it'll go with the scar." 

"What are you doing in my office, Hermione?" Harry asked with a grin. 

"I was anxious to hear about Theodore Nott and- thought I'd check whether you'd kept your promise and were on top of your paperwork." 

"Ah. Turns out I'm not." Harry replied. 

"No. You're not. Harry, how can you get any work done in this chaos?" Hermione asked and Elizabeth agreed privately. It was setting her OCD off. 

Harry waved his wand, making the books and papers turn into neat piles, albeit tall ones. He smiled. "No longer chaotic." 

"But still ignored. You know, there's some interesting stuff in here. . . There are mountain trolls riding Graphorns through Hungary, there are giants with winged tattoos on their backs walking through the Greek Seas, and the werewolves have gone entirely underground-" 

Elizabeth opened her mouth to interject angrily about the werewolves, but Harry beat her to it, "Great, let's get out there. I'll get the team together." 

"Harry, I get it. Paperwork's boring-" 

"Not for you or Elizabeth." Harry interrupted. 

"I'm busy enough with my own and so is she. These are people and beasts that fought alongside Voldemort in the great Wizarding wars. These are allies of darkness. This- combined with what we have just unearthed at Theodore Nott's- could mean something. But if the Head of Magical Law Enforcement isn't reading his files-" 

"But I don't need to read it- I'm out there, hearing about it. Theodore Nott- it was me who heard the rumors about the Time-Turner and me who acted upon it. You really don't need to tell me off." 

Elizabeth fades into the background a little bit, watching the two of them, and listening. This argument tickles her brain a little bit, but she hadn't seen it previously. It was more on the same level as waking up from a dream that you know you've had before, but can't place anything about when the other dream happened, or even what it was about. 

"Do you fancy a toffee? Don't tell Ron." Hermione said, holding her hand out with the candy towards both of them. 

"You're changing the subject." Harry accused her. 

"I truly am. Toffee?" 

Elizabeth took one, popping it into her mouth to suck on. 

"Can't. We're off sugar at the moment. You know, you can get addicted to that stuff?" 

Elizabeth rolled her eyes. 

"What can I say? My parents were dentists, I was bound to rebel at some point. Forty is leaving it a little late, but. . . You've just done a brilliant thing. You're certainly not being told off- I just need you to look at your paperwork every now and again, that's all. Consider this a gentle- nudge- from the Minister of Magic." There was a small pause before Hermione asked, "How's Ginny? How's Albus? How's Severus and the kids?" 

Elizabeth thought about it. "They're good." Bridges had been somewhat repaired with Marinette, and her and Severus were of course, standing on more stable ground though it would still take time to rebuild what she'd broken. 

"It seems I'm as good at fatherhood as I am at paperwork. How's Rose? How's Hugo?" 

"You know, Ron says he thinks I see more of my secretary, Ethel, than him. Do you think there's a point where we made a choice- parent of the year or Ministry official of the year? Go on. Go home to your families you two, the Hogwarts Express is about to depart for another year- enjoy the time you've got left- and then come back here with a fresh head and get these files read Harry. Elizabeth, maybe you'll help him just a little?" 

"Of course." Elizabeth said. 'As though I don't have enough I'm doing already Hermione'. She thought privately. But for some reason, she couldn't find a way to say 'no'. 

"You really think this could all mean something?" Harry asked, looking between the two of them. 

Elizabeth doesn't answer, she doesn't have answers. Hermione however smiles and says, "It could do. But if it does, we'll find a way to fight it, Harry. We always have." But Elizabeth knows what both of them are thinking with that sentence. She was always the way they fought everything. Perhaps she has screwed everyone over by always having all of the answers. 

Hermione leaves the office after popping another toffee in her mouth, leaving the two Potter siblings by themselves. 

"I'll see you tomorrow Harry." Elizabeth says. She wants to get home to Severus. She wants to take him out, perhaps to a diner. They haven't been on a date in so long. 

"Have a good night Elizabeth." Harry says, packing his bag as she leaves his office. 

She walks down the hallways of the Ministry, looking around quietly, trying to imagine what would happen if another war was coming, this time one she couldn't foresee. 

Her family, she could protect. With Trang being a Professor at Hogwarts and Oliver in France for Quidditch. Kingsley had retired, living in Jamaica because he deserved his peace and quiet. Her father and mother-in-law were far to old to fight in wars anymore, in their sixties, nearing seventy although of course. . . 

Well Severus would be the hardest to keep out of the war. Despite their problems, he would still want to be by her side. And her sons would probably try and fight too, Minerva as well. 

Elizabeth sighed, stepping into the fireplace to take the floo home. One way or another, something was coming. And she needed to be ready for it when it did.
