Danny is really confused. Like sure he made a fake account in order “use” his parents completely valid and not in biased research on ghosts.

Cause obviously. Their completely legit research disproves multiple peer reviewed and factual papers.

Tucker made the fake account. No real names or numbers. So. They couldn’t know it was him right?!??

He just wanted people to see how wack the papers were and bring to light the very not accurate papers. He figured using botched research to counter claim others would do something.

ok so hi, here are my thoughts on 119 but right away, it's not kicking me of the chair honestly..

khgkfbgfk PLEASE don't get me wrong, of course impaled Narumi let my heart ache ... I actually like him a lot as a character and he brings amazing dynamics into the series.. to ease some of your minds, we had some medical assessment going on (lmao, never thought I am writing smth like that on a fandom, i love you guys, thank's kujoestars!) that wound might not be fatal.

PLUS, I feel like, this would be a weird choice from a narrative perspective. We already had some close call situations in this manga, and actual deaths are rather spare.. IF a main character like Narumi would have to kick the bucket it would have been with sorta more monologue, maybe a flashback and far more weight to it..wouldn't it?

Also I am feeling so sorry and guilty, but at first, next to "nooooo Narumi!!!" I felt a relief t'wasn't my fav bowl cut, since this would be awfully ironic to meet the same fate as his ancestors....which WOULD have been a far more weighful event happening and then I WOULD have read much more into it.. also I would have suffered all over christmas, so thank you Matsumoto for spearing me that suffering ig.....

Anissa Meksen has a strong claim to the title of greatest woman to ever kickbox. She's had a long and incredibly successful career with titles from basically every corner of the world. Now she is getting the opportunity for a title in ONE.

Personal opinion, but Radiants shouldn't have to be able to heal old wounds, even with stormlight.

During the books we see Lopen regrew his arm, Gaz regrew his eye, Hobber reanimating his legs after being slashed by Szeth in the previous book. All wounds are months/years old but they heal them the moment they become Radiants and could breath in stormlight themselves.

In my opinion it shouldn't be possible. They should only be able to patch wounds they got after they became Radiants. Renarin can only heal wounds on others if they are relatively new, there is a time bracket during which his powers are effective. I think it should be the same for Radiants healing themselves.

Now, I know what some of you want to say. The king of the Reshi isles, who was born a woman but always saw himself as a man - operating under the title King even before - became physically male when bonding a Spren. So the bond turns you into the perception of yourself, how you view yourself in a way - Lopen sees himself as still having two arms etc.

But I still think it's a cheaper writearound. Because think of it. These people became Radiant, but they still have a disability, an injury, and they cam still kick ass despite it! Lopen wearing a fake arm he can send as a projectile, Gaz hiding extra gems in his eye socket a la Aemond Targarian, for extra stormlight, Hobbs flying instead of wlaking, kind of like Rysn's Fabrial enfused wheelchair.

Kaladin can't get rid of his slave brands, because they are part of how he percieves himself now, the Shash is the symbol he is assossiated with, but he also hates them, so I don't get why they don't heal, too.

I think it would be better if this waan't one of the Radiant perks, and we got to see these characters navigating theur powers with their disabilities and turning them into advantages.

Of course the next obvious question that this installment of Dragon Age also doesn't really answer is what the difference between an embodied-spirit elf and "just an elf" was, functionally speaking. The spirit-elves were bound to their natures in a way that plays out pretty obviously in Veilguard. But the "regular" elves could also enter uthenera and just be spirits indefinitely. So possibly the only difference was natural birth vs lyrium enfused embodiment.

And after that, the obvious question is what the difference between a spirit and a soul is. Emmrich is clear that there's a big difference, but much less clear on what it IS. And it's frankly funny to me that the shepherding of souls was attributed to Falon'din and Dirthamen, who we now know are a single split spirit in different aspects. And while spirits go to the Fade if you kill the body, we don't actually know where souls go but it aint there. And yet somehow Emmrich's corpse whispering speaks to something that knows, at least in fragments, what the actual person would know.

I don't know man I played with the strings on the conspiracy board and all I got was tangled like a kitten.

Summary: You’ve always been considered the Ice Queen of society, always quick to cut people off and never open up to anyone besides your best friend San. But what happens when your father insists that you marry his new protege that he’s taken in while your heart yearns for your best friend?

Part Two: Twilight Zone

Sitting at one of the coffeehouse tables you stared out of the large windows into the dark evening as rain poured from the sky falling down the glass in steady rivulets. Sighing softly you turned your wrist over and glanced down at your simple wrist watch, he was late. One of the baristas came over to your table and she smiled softly at you as her eyes darted around the rapidly emptying coffeehouse.

”Would you like another drink while you wait?” She asked sweetly and you sighed quietly knowing that she was trying to be polite while finding out if you were going to be much longer. You didn’t want to be mean to her since it wasn’t her fault that you were being stood up by someone. You quickly shook your head as you waved your hand over your large mug of coffee that you were still working on before smiling softly at her.

”No thank you.” You said softly and she nodded her head before looking around the building again. “When are you supposed to close?” You ask softly and she looks down at you once more before twisting her lips in a slight pout.

”In another hour. We have to start shutting down the machines soon though.” She told you and you nodded your head at her explanation. She seemed to hesitate as she turned to go back to the registers before she looked over her shoulder at you and spoke softly. “He’s not worth it if he’s keeping you waiting like this.” She said reassuringly and you huffed out a soft laugh as you began to nod your head at her words.

”You’re damn right.” you said amused as you stood from your chair suddenly causing her to look over at you with a proud smile. You grinned wickedly at her and tipped your head at her before setting a couple of twenty dollar bills on the table with a tap of your index finger. “Thanks for putting up with me.” You say softly before you grab your clutch from the table and begin walking out of the coffeehouse.

As you’re making your way to the front door of the building you can hear her hurriedly rushing behind the register to her coworker and hear her excited squeal at the amount of money that you left on the table for them to share and pay for your drink.

”Don’t you know who that is?” Asked the coworker and you smirked softly knowing exactly what she was going to say. “She’s the city’s Ice Queen. Coldest socialite on the scene.”

”You’re delusional,  she was so nice to me.” Said the barista who had come over to you. You smiled softly at her assessment of you and you couldn’t help but feel the confidence just from her words enfuse you.

Her coworker was right, you were the city’s Ice Queen as you have been dubbed but that didn’t mean that you couldn’t be nice to those who deserved it. You may be considered heartless by your peers but that was because they gave you a reason to be that way. You weren’t heartless just to be heartless; no, you were burned one too many times by those you had thought were your friends and loved ones. Your own mother had dealt the blow that had changed your heart to be the cold block of ice within your chest. So you had adapted to your surroundings and had guarded your heart as much as you possibly could. It was a lonely existence but you would rather be lonely with a few friends who knew you completely and wholly then to continue to get yourself hurt.

Just as you were walking out of the coffeehouse your cell phone began to ring and you smiled softly as you heard your best friend's ringtone. You quickly dig through your clutch and pull out your phone grinning when you see the silly picture of San displayed on the screen. Your finger swipes across the screen and you hold the phone up to your ear.

”Hi San.” You greet him softly as you begin to walk towards the parking lot where you had parked your car.

”Hey Elsa” he greets you teasingly and you roll your eyes at his joke. “How was the meeting with Felix?” He asks curiously and you can hear a bit of hesitation in his voice which makes you tilt your head to the side with confusion. You wondered what he would be hesitating about in regards to the meeting that your father had set up.

”He never showed.” You grumbled out and San gasped softly at your words.

”What?! No!” He gasped out surprised over the line as you nodded your head at his surprise.

”Yup, never showed up and I waited until nearly closing at the coffeehouse.” You said with a shrug of your shoulders as you clicked your key fob and unlocked your car as you came up to it.

”Aw babe.” San cooed at you softly and you scoffed at his soft tone. “Wanna come over and hang out? I’ll order dinner and we’ll just spend the evening together? Fall asleep on the couch watching trashy movies?” He suggested quickly and you smiled at his caring nature, you could never understand how the two of you had become friends but you were so grateful for his friendship.

”That sounds great San. I’ll be at your place shortly, I’m on my way.” You tell him as you easily drop into the driver’s seat before hanging up with him and sliding the key into the ignition. When your car turns on and your cell phone connects to the Bluetooth you press the number one on the computer screen.

”Darling, how did it go?” Came your father’s voice over the speakers in your phone and you sighed softly not liking that you’d have to let him down even if it wasn’t your fault.

”He never showed Dad.” You told him and he sighed loudly over the phone as you began your drive to San’s apartment.

”I’m on my way over to San’s house to go hang out and have dinner with him. I’ll be home later tonight.” You told him and he huffed softly.

”Alright darling, drive safely. I’ll see you tomorrow morning. I have an early meeting in the morning that I have to go to.” He told you and hummed at his words.

”Okay, I’ll see you then.” You responded before hanging up with him.

“Hey! There she is!” San called out happily when he opened his front door for you after you knocked on it. You grinned at him and held up the bottle of Moscato wine before shaking it excitedly. San grinned softly at you and then reached forward to wrap you in a tight hug before guiding you into his apartment 

“Hi San.” You greet him kindly and he smiles down at you softly before dragging you into another tight hug after closing his front door.

”How you feeling?” He asked worriedly and you shrugged your shoulders at his question before you moved out of his arms and towards his kitchen.

”I don’t know, I thought this guy would actually show up tonight.” You said with another shrug of your shoulders. And it’s the truth, you don’t know how to feel about this guy. He was a new socialite on the scene and you didn’t know much about him, just that he had caught your father’s attention at a party. Your father liked to think of himself as a bit of a philanthropist and while donating his time and money to causes that he truly believes in he likes to take new socialites under his wing and help guide them through society until they succeed and are able to navigate it all on their own. “My dad has been talking him up to me since he met him and he sounded disappointed that he didn’t show up tonight.” You told San who nodded along to your words.

”Did your Dad say why he wanted the two of you to meet?” He asked curiously as he leaned against his kitchen island as you dug through one of his drawers for the corkscrew. You cheered softly when you found it and San chuckled softly as he moved around you to grab two wine glasses from the cabinet.

”Probably wants me to help this guy out by going out to events with him.” You said dismissively. “You know how he is, always finds a stray to take in before he guides them to success.” You said knowingly and San nodded his head at you. “If he winds up ever meeting up with me I’ll help him out, it’s what my Dad wants.” You said with a shrug of your shoulders and San nodded his head again.

Just then the doorbell rang and San walked over to pay the delivery person as he handed over the food to San. You easily busied yourself with pouring your drinks as San set out the food he had ordered. As you turned your head to look over at San you couldn’t help but smile softly while you watched him, it was all so domestic to you and you felt your heart flutter in your chest.

Sighing softly you wondered what it would feel like to have this type of life with San. The two of you had been friends since college and he’s been your biggest support over the years, always defending you and lifting you up whenever you needed it. You had done the same for him as well and while you had fallen in love with San over the years you knew that he could never love you. He was your exact opposite, he was light while you were dark. He was optimistic while you were pessimistic. He was hopeful while you were jaded. You knew that you dragged him down when all he wanted to do was rise up.

You looked down at the two wine glasses that you held delicately in your hands and felt your shoulders slump with the realization that you would never be good enough for him. Your heart stuttered in your chest and you felt the old hurt from your past grip you tightly in its hold.

”Hey babe, you okay?” San asked suddenly from your side and you turned to him with a lost look on your face before you smiled softly and nodded your head quickly at him.

”Yeah, I’m good. C’mon let’s have dinner.” You reassured him softly as you scrunched your nose at him and he smiled brightly at you before guiding you into the living room to have dinner with him.

You stand at the edge of the party critically surveying the room as you sip at the glass you had been nursing all night. It’s a simple event full of all investors and business owners who are looking to get ahead on the social scene. You’re here accompanying your father as his plus one, you know there is more to you attending this event with him and you’re proven right when you spot your father across the room talking with a slender dark haired man. Felix, your mind whispers to you and you scoff softly as you take a sip of your drink.

With the distance between you’re able to take him in without feeling self conscious of your survey. He’s taller than you with a slender build that doesn’t come off as intimidating at all but as you watch him move with your father talking to the other investors at the event there’s just something about him that rubs you the wrong way. His face is boyish and he’s easy to laugh and joke with the investors, easily charming them as they interact. There’s something about him that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up in alarm and caution. 

Just then a soft hand grazes against your elbow and you whip your head to scowl at a shocked San. He raises his hands in faux surrender and you instantly relax yourself with a soft huff of breath. The two of you stood side by side for a quiet moment and your eyes wandered back over to Felix and your father as they continued to talk. You noticed Felix’s eyes start to drift over to you and could see him eyeing both you and San. When he would connect his eyes with you he’d smile brightly at you and you could feel your hackles rising.

”Your dad’s really trying to get Felix in with the investors huh?” San asked quietly and you huffed softly before nodding your head. 

“I have a feeling he’s going to push him on me as well.” You say softly and San turns to stare at you with a shocked look on your face. You can feel his eyes darting all around you before he turns back to face forward and watch your father and Felix move around the room.

”Maybe you should give him a chance.” San says softly with a saddened lilt to his voice and you furrow your eyebrows at his words as you shake your head slightly.

”There’s something about him that I don’t like.” You told San and he smiled softly at your words.

”You don’t like many people.” He teases softly and you furrow your eyebrows at his words as your mind begins to whisper its dark affirmations within the dark recesses of your head. He’s right, you don’t like many people in your life. He’s trying to tell you that you need to make more friends so that you’re not a burden on him any longer. You’re too much for him to handle on his own; he shouldn't have to be the only one in your life that has to deal with you. “Babe?” He asks softly with concern filling his face as he looks down at you, shaking your head. You clear the whispers from your head and give him a soft smile to reassure him.

”Darling, there you are.” Came your father’s call and you turn away from San, who you don’t see watching you with a quiet pensive look on his face, to face your father with a bright happy smile. He greets you happily with a loving hug before wrapping an arm around your shoulders to turn you to face the man he’s been spending his evening with. “Darling, I’d like you to finally meet Felix. He’s the one I wanted you to meet a week ago.” Your father introduces you.

You look up at Felix who has a soft regretful look on his face as he smiles softly at you. You nod your head at him before holding your hand out for him to shake. But when he grips your hand steadily in his and lifts it to his lips your father smirks softly at your side while you raise an eyebrow at Felix.

”I’m so sorry for standing you up. I don’t have a suitable excuse, I lost track of time at work.” Felix admitted as he apologized to you. You nodded your head at his words knowing exactly what he meant before you shrugged your shoulders at him dismissively. You figured you should give him a chance instead of already writing him off just based on your judgment of him.

”No worries. I know how it gets.” You told him softly and he smiled kindly at you as he nodded his head.

”Would you let me make up for it and take you out for dinner one night?” He asked kindly and you felt your father take a step closer to you while his arm slipped around yours gently.

”Oh that’s a kind gesture.” Your father said and you rolled your eyes at how obtuse he was being without any subtlety. “What do you think Darling? Wouldn’t that be nice?” Your father asks eagerly and you frown softly at him wondering why he was so eager for you to spend time with Felix. 

“I think that would be fine. We’ll have to find a good time to go out.” You agree along with your father who beams happily at your agreement.

”Why don’t we go tonight?” Felix asks suddenly and you jerk back at his insistence. The man seems eager and you raise an eyebrow at him as he ducks his head. “Sorry, I just figured we were already here together and if you don’t have any other plans tonight. Why don’t we go out tonight?” He reasoned softly and your father chuckled softly at his eagerness.

”You don’t have any other plans tonight do you Darling?” Your father asked you softly before he turned his head to look at San who was watching this all play out in front of himself. “Oh, San? Did you plan to steal her away for the evening?” Your father asked curiously and you silently held your breath as you waited for San’s response. Usually the two of you would go out for dinner after any event that you both wound up attending.

”No, of course not.” San said with a shake of his head and you felt the whispers start to rise up again in your head as your shoulders slumped slightly at his admission.

”Well then it’s settled, you two should go out for dinner tonight.” Your father says before he turns his head to look at you. You can see the bright light within his eyes as they sparkle with delight at you going out to dinner with Felix, taking a deep breath you know that you would do anything for your father. This won’t be any different unfortunately.

You look over at Felix and can see the happy smile gracing his face before you nod your head at him. He beams at you before holding out his arm for you and you softly slip your arm through his. You let him lead you out of the venue and don’t look back at your father and San as you walk away for the evening.

Something is off. The warning whispers into your mind as you weave your way through the crowd at the party your father had insisted that he host for you and Felix. It had been a whirlwind half year of your life as you and Felix’s relationship had developed and morphed to something that you weren’t all too sure wasn’t orchestrated by your father and Felix. But every time you had made a comment or shared a doubt about the relationship your father had reassured you that it wasn’t anything to be worried about.

Felix has charmed everyone in your life and you felt like you were screaming into the void as you tried to open their eyes to the doubt you still had about the man. He was almost too sweet to be true, it was almost too perfect of him. But whenever you had asked San about it he had reassured you that it was just your trauma from your mother’s affair that was coloring your judgment. 

You had believed San when he had told you that you couldn’t let your mother’s horrible three year affair cloud your mind and hold you back from allowing Felix to fully love you the way you deserved. He was right ultimately, you couldn’t let your mother’s affair guide your way of thinking anymore. So you had enrolled in therapy to help guide you through all of the trauma that you had developed from the whole thing.

And it had worked, you had been surprised that it had actually worked but thankfully it had, since that’s how you found yourself attending your three month wedding anniversary party that father had coordinated. All of Felix’s friends were here to celebrate the two of you and the few friends that you had were also in attendance to support you and while it was supposed to be a happy event there was a dark voice in the back of your head that you hadn’t heard in quite a long time whispering to you.

Something is wrong. Your eyes dart over to Felix and see him laughing with one of his friends at the bar while surrounded by a crowd of friends. You watch as Felix grins before his head turns and his eyes catch on someone in the crowd around him, there’s a tiny moment of a flicker in his eyes almost like a spark of soft recognition. Your eyes dart over to the woman and watch as her eyes crease to near slits as she sticks her tongue out at him. Something is wrong. 

You stand there watching as this interaction takes place in front of a whole room of people celebrating your marriage to Felix and you have to fight the bile that’s trying to rise within your throat. Sweat begins to break out along your hairline and you try to rationalize what you just saw. They’re obviously friends, it doesn’t mean anything. Something is wrong. They might just be closer than his other friends. SOMETHING IS WRONG!

Your back hits the wall that you had been standing in front of and you didn’t even realize that you had been backing up. A subconscious effort to distance yourself even more from your husband. Everything within you is screaming at you that it’s just like your mother all over again. The lingering looks that she had shared with your father’s best friend while at events. The slight touches they would share when he would come over for family dinner. The soft whispered words that they thought they were being careful with while in the house with you. 

All of the memories are rushing back at you and you feel your throat starting to close up on you. Your mind is torturing you with every single haunting memory as you begin to shut down against the wall. Suddenly there’s a soft tinkling sound that manages to pull you out of your swirling spiral into your dark void and your head snaps up to stare at your father standing in the middle of the room. Your insides twist with betrayal as you stare at the man who you thought had your best interest at heart. He’s standing in the middle of the room clinking a butter knife against his champagne glass to gather everyone’s attention with a bright happy wide smile splashed across his face and your heart twists in your chest. He was so blinded by Felix’s charm that he had actively placed in the same spot that he had been in all those years ago. And you knew without a doubt that if you tried to open his eyes to Felix’s misgressions that he’d turn his head once again just like when you had tried to tell him about your mother’s affair.

Sucking in a deep breath of air you gather all the courage you have within you and pull yourself to a standing position and hold your head high. Just like last time there was no one you could trust to help you. No one to help you burden the knowledge of an affair that shouldn’t be happening. You harden your heart once more and wrap yourself in aloof icy coldness as you watch your father look around the room for you and Felix. 

There’s a presence at your side suddenly and you know that it’s San without even looking at him. Your heart slams itself against the ice cage that you’ve now fully erected in your chest at his proximity, but you know that you can’t tell San your suspicions. He had been one to convince you to give Felix a chance and look what that had gotten you. When you feel his soft touch at your elbow you raise your head a fraction of an inch higher and begin to walk over to your father as your heart tries to slam against the ice barrier once more. But you can’t trust anyone, not anymore they’ve proven that to you. You’ll have to take care of this on your own just like you had with your father’s heartbreak and mother’s affair.

Felix beams at you as he meets you in the middle of the room with your father by his side grinning widely at you. The soft smile that graces your lips feels brittle to you but you know they won’t see it that way. You were always a pro at presenting a facade to the public no matter how affected you were. Your stomach rolls with disgust as Felix wraps an arm around your waist and pulls you into his side. You have to curb your gag reflex as he presses a soft kiss to your temple.

”Ladies and gentlemen! Thank you for coming together to celebrate my daughter and son in law in their journey as newlyweds. It means the world to all of us for you all to be here in celebration of their love.” Your father proclaims to the crowd and you have to bite your tongue to stop yourself from speaking out against his words. You know that you’re right about what you saw between Felix and his friend but you can’t reveal yourself until you have hard proof. You had learned from your father’s mistakes during the divorce proceedings with your mother. You knew that you had to wait just a little bit until you had proof of his infidelity. “Please raise your glasses in a toast to the two of them. Felix, Darling, we wish you nothing but happiness, love and light!” Your father toasts and Felix pulls you into a kiss that makes your skin crawl but you play the part of a lovesick newlywed as your arms wrap around his neck. You know what you have to do.

The ringing of your cell phone pulls you back from your reflective stare out the large windows of the coffeehouse. You’re in the same coffeehouse that you had been almost a year ago on that night when you had first meant to meet Felix due to your father’s insistence. Even the barista who had been kind to you that night is working today and you can’t help but smile as you feel it’s all come full circle once again in your life. 

The night of your three month wedding anniversary was nearly a month ago and you were nearing your four month anniversary but this anniversary was going to be much different than last month’s. You had made sure of that, the day after your anniversary party you had made two phone calls, one had been to a trusted private investigator that you had used when you had gathered proof of your mother’s affair for your father and the other one was to your therapist for an emergency session.

Both of them had been able to help you immensely in completely different ways, but both of them had been able to break the chains that were tying you down in your life and free yourself. Your therapist had been able to work you through the trauma that was resurfacing from your mother’s affair when you had started to suspect Felix’s indiscretion. She had also been able to help you understand that just because your father hadn’t believed you when you warned him about the affair all those years ago did not mean that you had to  indulge him in everything he asked of you. You were thankful for your therapist who had managed to help you calm those dark voices that were starting to whisper in your mind once more. She had even helped you gather the confidence to trust yourself in your judgment of people. The private investigator had helped you as much as your therapist did but in a way that you were able to free yourself from the chains that were tying you down.

The private investigator had managed to get you proof of Felix and his friend’s affair within a day of you contacting him. The pictures had been damning of Felix meeting up with his friend at a restaurant near his work one night and having a very cozy lovely dinner while he had told you that he would be working late at his office. The one picture the investigator had been able to snap of Felix locking lips with his friend had cemented your suspicions for you and had given you the peace of mind that you were a good judge of character even if no one else in your life was.

Your cell phone rang once more while it sat on the table in the coffeehouse and you slowly picked it up to turn it around in your hand before looking at the screen. San’s silly face was displayed on the screen and you idly wondered why he would be calling you. It’d been a long time since San had called you. Ever since you had met Felix at the party San had begun to distance himself from you and while you were saddened about that you had understood it. San was your close friend and he probably was happy to have someone else to share the burden of you, it’s the only thing that made sense to you of why he would distance himself.

”Hey San.” You greeted him as you swiped your finger across the screen to answer his call.

”Babe?! Where are you?” Came his panicked words that made you instantly sit up in your chair.

”I’m at a coffeehouse, why?” You asked as your eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

”Send me your location, I need to talk to you about something important.” He said, sounding out of breath.

”San, calm down. Whatever it is can’t be that important.” You tried to calm him but he groaned loudly on his end of the phone.

”It is important. I need to see you tonight to tell you.” He said in a rush and you wondered what it was that was bothering him so much.

”Okay, okay.” You agreed before opening your location app and shared it with him. “There I shared it with you. But I don’t understand, it can wait until tomorrow San.” You said softly trying to reassure him.

”I’ll be there in fifteen minutes, don't leave.” He said hurriedly before hanging up the call. With a slight shake of your head you set your phone back down on the table before looking over towards the registers. The barista that had been kind to you the last time you were looked up after a moment and smiled brightly at you before making her way towards you.

”Did you need anything else?” She asked sweetly and you smiled softly at her enjoying the familiarity that she brought with her.

”Yes, can I get another hot chocolate and an iced americano? I have a friend on their way.” You asked her as she nodded her head.

”Of course, I’ll get the drinks made for you.” She said before walking back to the registers. You turned back to the window and stared out of it as you tried to think of what could have upset San so much that he needed to come and tell you something so late at night. It doesn’t take him long to get to the coffeehouse and just as he’s entering the building the barista is setting your newly made drinks onto the table in front of you.

San slips into the chair across from you and he looks over at you with a soft saddened look on his face. You lean back in your chair while crossing your arms over your chest as you wait for him to speak up. He shifts in his seat before leaning forward and resting his elbows on the table and steepling his hands in front of his face for a moment.

”I’m so sorry to tell you this, babe.” He begins to explain and you tilt your head to the side as your eyebrows furrow before suddenly it all falls into place and you know what he’s going to say next. “I saw Felix making out with a woman at the club tonight. I didn’t get a good look at her but they were all over each other. I’m so sorry, I regret ever telling you to give him a chance. You were absolutely right to not trust him.” San began to ramble and you smirk softly at him before you shake your head softly causing him to stop in his rambling to look at you with confusion written all over his face.

”I know he’s cheating.” you tell him softly and his eyes widen at you causing you to chuckle softly at him. “I’ve known since our three month anniversary party.” You said softly as you began to fidget with your hoodie sleeve. San blinks for a moment before he jerks his head back in surprise.

”Why didn’t you tell me?” He asked suddenly, sounding hurt that you had kept this from him.

”Would you have believed me?” You asked sharply and then sigh softly as you hang your head. “Sorry I didn’t mean for it to come out like that.” You quickly apologize knowing that you shouldn’t take your anger out on him.

”No, no. I get it. I pushed for you to give him a chance and didn’t believe you when you doubted him. I’m sorry I didn’t trust your judgment.” San said as he shook his head at your apology. “I should’ve trusted you and agreed with you. I just knew that you’d still go along with dating Felix since your dad wanted it so badly. I didn’t want you to live that life where you never trusted your spouse.” San admitted softly and you felt tears begin to prick your eyes at the solemn words he spoke. San still cared about you, otherwise he wouldn’t have tried to give you another point of perspective to look at things.

The ice cage around your heart started to warm as you sat there staring at San while he looked over at you with a wounded look on his face. Here was your best friend once again showing you how much he cared for you and wanted to look out for you, and for once you didn’t hear the dark whispers in your head trying to convince you that you were a burden to him.

”How can I help?” He asked softly and you grinned happily at him before reaching out your hand and he quickly caught it in his before squeezing it gently.

The evening is full of soft chatter and laughter around the long dinning table as you host a dinner party to celebrate a milestone for Felix’s company. Your father is sitting in a chair across the table from you as Felix sits at the head of the table while the rest of the chairs are filled with investors and friends of Felix. She is even here sitting further down the table on the opposite side that you’re sitting on, you had planned it that way because when you give Felix his gift tonight you want to see if he looks to her for comfort.

The main course has just finished and the dishes are being cleared away from the table when you stand from your chair garnering everyone’s attention. You smile brightly at everyone before turning to Felix as one of the maids brought over a large manila envelope and handed it to you.

”Everyone, I wanted to thank you all for coming tonight to celebrate Felix’s milestone. You’ve all been a help in some sort of way to Felix and his company. And I can’t thank you for your support, it’s so greatly appreciated.” You thanked everyone for coming tonight before you turned to Felix with a wide wicked grin on your face. “But tonight I have an unforgettable gift for my husband.” You say softly as you walk to his side and place a gentle hand on his shoulder as you gently place the manila envelope down in front of him. ”Go ahead sweetheart, open it.” You tell Felix softly as he looks up at you eagerly. He then quickly tilts his head down before he carefully opens the manila envelope, you stare at her from your place next to Felix and watch as she shifts in her seat while trying to avoid your eyes but a slow smirk slips onto your face.

”Darling, what is this?” Asks your father as he stares at the pictures that had fallen out of the envelope that Felix held in shaking hands.

”Oh those are pictures of Felix cheating with his friend over there.” You say nonchalantly as you nod your head at the woman sitting further down the table. “Don’t worry sweetheart, your lawyer already has a copy. I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening.” You say coldly before walking out of the dining room as Felix and your father call out for you.

The building is dark and empty as you slowly walk up to it. Slowly walking to the small cement wall that houses the pretty flowering bushes in front of the coffeehouse you slump down on top of it. Sighing softly you grip the cement edge and lean back to stare up at the night sky. Tonight you had ended your marriage and you couldn’t help but feel the light free sensation filling your whole body. You begin to laugh softly as you lean back further as tears prick your eyes and begin to fall down your cheeks.

”Babe?” Comes San’s soft voice and you look over at him as you settle yourself on the cement wall so that you don’t fall over.

”Hey San.” You say softly as tears begin to slip faster down your cheeks.

”Aww babe.” He coos softly as he comes to sit next to you making sure that his side pressed against yours.

”Am I unlovable San? Is there something wrong with me that I can’t let anyone in?” You ask softly as you feel the dark void within start to swell and nearly consume you. San’s hands cup your cheeks and tilt your face up to stare at him.

”You let me in didn’t you?” He asked softly and you sob brokenly at his question.

“But you don’t love me either.” You lament softly and San sighs softly before he shakes his head slightly at your words.

”I didn’t want to do this like this babe. But I do love you, have since we were in second year of college. And I will always love you. You are so lovable to me and there is nothing wrong with you.” He confesses to you softly and you gasp loudly at his words. “You’ve been hurt by the people you love and that messes with you deeply. I wouldn’t change anything about you and will gladly spend the rest of my days trying to convince you how much you are loved by me.” He says softly. “But first let’s get your divorce finalized before I try to make up for all the time we’ve lost together.” 

You laugh softly at the absurdity of your situation before you nod your head and then let it fall so that your forehead rests on his chest. San’s arms wrap around you tightly as he tugs you closer into his chest while your arms wrap low on his waist and you let yourself melt tiredly into him.

”I love you too, San.” You confess softly and San presses a gentle kiss to your head before resting his head against yours.

The music is pounding through the speakers as you sway and swivel your hips from side to side trying to match the beat of the song. San laughs behind you as his large hands come to rest on your hips before he guides you into the right movement to match the song. He crowds behind you and rests his chest against your back as he matches your movements with his own hips.

His head dips down until his lips ghost against your ear and you shiver in his hold. You tilt your head back to rest it against his shoulder as your eyes shut peacefully.

”Your ex-husband is here.” San whispers into your ear deviously and you shiver once again. You lean further back into San smirking seductively as you sway your hips even more, putting on a show as San chuckles in your ear. “Keeps watching us and he looks pissed.” San whispers to you and you scoff softly before turning your head to look up at him.

”His greed got the better of him. Got a taste of the good life and now it’s been taken away from him.” You whisper to San before one of your hands comes up to card through the hair at the back of his head and your lips capture his in a seductive kiss before you pull away licking your lips. “Let him look.” You husk out at him before pulling him into another kiss.

Another jak and daxter headcannon because im a completly normal jak and daxter fan 🥴

I headcannon that jak has some internal shame about being able to control dark eco. He's clearly upset and dislikes it, it hurts him and others around him call him the "dark eco freak" when really, praxis and erol are to blame for his dark form. He became the very thing he had destroied in game 1, someone who was changed by dark eco, and he changed against his will. He was TORTURED with dark eco for two years and FORCEFULLY got these powers he didn't want. Teleprompters around haven city mention him as being able to "change into a monstrous creature" clearly putting FEAR INTO THE PEOPLE OF HAVEN CITY BECAUSE OF PRAXIS.

Everyone is either appaled, shocked or scared by his change, by his new dark form. All citizens flee in terror and the guards go to attack him right away, his closest friends are shocked and don't think that he is anywhere near the same person since this new dark jak form, and years of torture had happened.

Even Kira, someone who he loves, tries to seperate the jak he once "was" from who he is now. His motive is to get vengance, and for all we know, that could've been his motive in the first game, he just never verbalized it becuase he was mute. She says he "gets angry and change(es)" That "the jak I knew wouldn't be working for a guy like krew". That the jak she once knew was gone or buried deep, which is most likely true due to his imprisonment and torture. Sure, she tried to reach out for a brief moment when they first reconnected, but daxter is there and says "don't piss him off he's changed" not giving jak and Kira a chance to talk or rekindle much at all. Until the end of the game, EVEN THEN he interupts them.

Samos isn't much help either, when he sees jak after the 2 year gap. He literally yells "what happened to you jak?!"

Not giving him a chance to answer because he only sees the dark eco had changed him. And jak was stunned into silence. Then yet again, daxter interupted because "plot".

Daxter being the comedic relief, repeatedly interupts serious moments to make jokes in all of the games. But what I am focusing on is when jak has his moments when reuniting with the others, like Kira and Samos. He interupts and had not truly acknowledged the pain jak had gone through in the prison. All he does is says "what happened?" And doesn't let jak elaborate. Jak goes in his dark form and daxter just writes it off as him being "pissed off" because of what happened. Whenever jak goes in his dark jak form, daxter either steps away or says "that was cool" or makes it about himself, not acknowledging that it hurts jak whenever he uses it.

Of course jak would be ashamed of his powers, dark eco alone is frowned upon because of its dangerous properties. There must be somewhere in the history of haven city where gul and myia are mentioned and are seen as the potential destroiers of the world at that time. Dark eco had always gotten a bad reputation, just because jak got powers doesn't mean he would be praised for it. Daxter has only ridiculed himself because of him being in his ottsel body. Jak has only ever seen his dark abilities as dangerous or weird or painful. Imagine the atrocities of him seeing fellow prisoners being melted, burned, and killed by the dark eco injections. We know this because jak is the only survivor of this program. All the others had died, and praxis hoped jak would be different, and he was, only when he escaped.

Clearly, dark jak wasn't as utilized in the story or gameplay as us fans would have wanted, but in the jak 2 design bible, it is stated that when in dark jak form, it greatly hurts/drains jak's body, leaving him to have 1hp left. Similar to how Gul from TPL had trouble breathing and was shakey when he talked due to his own dark eco enfusement, as well as his dark form changing his tone and vocal chords.

JAK HAS SIMILAR VOCAL CHORDS IN HIS DARK FORM, HE IS ALSO SHAKEY WHEN HE GETS OUT OF HIS DARK ECO FORM

EVERY SINGLE TIME: HE IS SHAKEY

HE LITERALLY SAYS HE CANT CONTROL IT AND HE LOOKED LIKE HE WOULD'VE FAINTED THE FIRST TIME HE TRANSFORMED.

Of course he would feel ashamed for physical weakness and or lack of control. Everyone belittles him, is shocked, or ignores his change. The change he had no control over.

Back in Sandover village everyone saw him as the reliable good kid that can help, the kid that Samos raised, sure he gets into trouble sometimes. BUT he is a good kid.

But now in this strange new city, everybody is mean or strict or trying to hurt him in some way like the krimson guards, erol, or krew.

That is until he is banished from the only home he had in haven city, by the very people he saved, they kick him out because he is "an abomination" a "dark eco freak" and could have even let metal heads into the city because of what he did for krew in jak2. Which hasnt been determined, but after saving the whole city, nobody thought to give him a second chance, they kick him to the curb because of his dark form and because of what he might have done.

And then he and daxter get accepted by spargas and damas through the means of jak's physical strength rather than what he can "do for people" like all of the missions that torn and krew had sent him on.

Seem, although was different, she saw through his facade and knew about his dark abilities, mainly because he of course showed his dark form on display in the fighting ring to fight and win. She points out his dark powers, saying he couldn't possibly understand the dark forces in spargas, but jak retaliates, clearly threatened because she knows nothing about his trauma or connection to dark eco.

Damas however saw his dark form as a strength rather than an odditiy, he hears what it is first, then says it can be useful rather than jak being a "freak" or "accursed" Damas even says he is proud of jak, which besides from Samos, nobody has said to jak.

Jak of course sees damas as a father figure, because he didn't have one growing up.

(Spoiler warning)

When damas dies, jak feels immense pain and agony, which fuels his dark jak form for a brief moment. (I may just be restating what happened in the game at this point but if you want, keep reading lol)

After seeing damas as a father figure and relying on him for support, strength and advice, he looses him, which fuels his anger and pushes him to be closed off further, which is shown in the events of Jak X: Combat Racing.

Throughout JakX

Jaks is less talkitive, more closed off and when called a hero, is silent ie. When daxter smacks his head and says "say some hero stuff" jak is silent.

Clearly loosing damas hit him hard. (as well as being poisoned and being out raced by those in the game)

You can even hear jak say "this one's for damas" when you win and get first place in a race in jak x.

Jak is shown drinking, being closer to Kira and has a more sullen attitude throughout the events of Jak X.

This is shown especially shown when at the end of Jak X (Spoiler warning)

Jak walks away from the burning car, and GT blitz asks "you have a habit of leaving people to die don't you?" And jak says with a depressed expression "you get used to it"

He must've been thinking of damas, krew, praxis, and erol. But mainly damas because he was a positive figure that he left to die.

(I know this essay/headcannon has changed from talking about jak's shame to rambling, ill try to stay on topic lol)

Throughout jak X, his reputation is not well known, even though daxter tries to fluf up their story to random people in bars, jak's main focus is to win and get the cure to the poison. Which can be depressing if all the weight is on his shoulders, which it is. Sure he's in a "team" but most of his friends compete to win regardless, and some even "betray him" to win the race themselves. Like Ashlin.

Ultimately, jak has changed, he knows it, his original capabilities of channeling eco has been corrupted due to the dark eco within him, he no longer has the "pure gift" that his younger self once had. And he is ashamed of that.

Saw some takes on One Piece x Pokemon so I thought I'd throw in my own two cents, seeing as giving characters Pokemon is my FAVORITE thing (just look at my fucking Submas fic, so many Pokeymans.... ehem).

First, to note that I'm working under the idea of 'One Piece where everything is exactly the same as Canon except Pokemon are also there'. How? Eh, its anime, baby, we don't need too much logic! They're just like a split off from regular animals - perhaps animals naturally enfused with Devil Fruit-like powers or something? IDK.

(That said, Pokemon cannot gain Devil Fruit powers like a regular animal can. There are many studies why but no 100% conclusive answer.)

Luffy:

1) Tangela ♀️ -> Tangrowth

Met on/at: Dawn Island

Background: Met when Luffy was young, in the mountain forest after befriending Ace and Sabo. They bonded over both having stretchy limbs. Constantly got tangled up in each other.

Evolved: During Marineford while trying to save Ace.

Reasoning: Stretchy limbs, a little goofy looking, but can become a strong fighter.

2) Mudkip ♂️ -> Marshtomp -> Swampert

Met on/at: Alabasta.

Background: Often hung out with the Kung-Fu Dugong for a fun brawl and was impressed by Luffy. Followed the Strawhats by sneaking into their luggage afterwards. Helped Luffy against Crocodile.

Evolved: First at Enies Lobby then finally over the timeskip while training with Luffy. Was supplied with a Megastone by Boa. First use was during Dressrosa.

Reasoning: Mega evolution similar to Luffy's Gear 3-4 appearances. Also completes the starter trio with Zoro and Sanji.

3) Aipom ♀️ -> Ambipom

Met on/at: Skypiea.

Background: Liked Luffy's singing, followed him around and snuck on board the Merry when it went to leave Skypiea.

Evolved: At Thriller Bark, trying to protect Luffy from Kuma.

Reasoning: Goofy monkey. “It uses its tails for everything. If it wraps both of its tails around you and gives you a squeeze, that's proof it really likes you.”

4) Drampa ♂️

Met on/at: Sabaody, pre-timeskip.

Background: Was entertaining kids at the theme-park when Luffy's group bumped into them. Became distraught that Camie was kidnapped and tried to help them find her. Was upset they couldn't protect Luffy or the Strawhats when the navy showed up, thus watching over Sunny during the two years to make up for it. Officially joined when they reunited.

Reasoning: Goofy. Fluffy white hair, similar to Gear 5. Kind to children, will become violent to protect or avenge them - think Momo, Tama, and Bonnie.

5) Lombre ♂️ -> Ludicolo

Met on/at: Dressrossa.

Background: Often snuck in to watch Colosseum fights. Didn't really understand why everyone always got so mad (mostly at Rebecca) but thought the fights seemed fun. Was inspired by Luffy's battles and defeating Doflamingo and really liked the party thrown afterwards.

Evolved: Accidentally, on the way to WCI, after touching a waterstone while playing around in Nami's treasure (with Gholdengo).

Reasoning: “Upon hearing an upbeat and cheerful rhythm, the cells in Ludicolo's body become very energetic and active. Even in battle, this Pokémon will exhibit an amazing amount of power.” Festive music makes it stronger, comparable to Drums of Liberation. Also goofy, likes to party.

6) Egg -> Riolu ♂️ -> Lucario

Met on/at: Zou.

Background: Was accidentally grabbed when the egg got packed with their supplies during the rush to WCI. Was nearly eaten by Luffy but Chopper recognized it as a viable Pokemon egg. Hatched aboard the Sunny when Luffy cried out to Sanji, feeling his emotions despite the distance. Intensely attached to Luffy as a result.

Evolved: At Wano during the Onigashima battle.

Reasoning: Use of aura similar to Ryuo Haki.

And, lol whoops, since this is gunna be LONG the rest of the Strawhats are going under the cut!

Zoro:

1) Scyther ♂️ -> Kleavor

Met on/at: Shimotsuki Village.

Background: Often fought each other while Zoro trained to beat Kuina. Was thrown off when Zoro came after him viciously one day, until he broke down mid fight and told him about Kuina, her death, and their promise. Joined Zoro when he eventually left the village.

Evolved: Found Black Augurite way back at Little Garden but was not aware of its use nor cared to evolve until Wano, after seeing Tonoyasu's execution.

Reasoning: Knife arms. Kleavor chosen over Scizor because Scizor is more claw or clamp-like while Kleavor keeps the sharp weaponry arms (just axes instead of swords). Kleavor also more old-fashioned, less fancy than Scizor, mirroring Zoro's simple ideology. Big, scary looking.

2) Magikarp ♂️ -> Gyarados

Met on/at: East Blue sea.

Background: Came across Zoro while he was lost at Sea. Helped lead him to land but was stunned by how he kept getting immediately lost and stuck with him to keep him from dying at sea. Likes to meditate with him. Dreams of swimming up a giant water. Love at first sight with Sanji's Feebas. Get clumsy and shy under her attention. Nearly went belly up when she evolved. Becomes a mated pair after Little Garden. Neither Zoro or Sanji are aware.

Evolved: To help them escape Enies Lobby whirlpools. Was given a Mega-stone much later at Wano, by Hiyori.

Reasoning: Unexpected powerhouse. Connects to Wano via ‘koi that climbs a waterfall’ and becomes a dragon. Mirrors Sanji's Feebas/Milotic.

3) Zangoose ♀️

Met on/at: Random East Blue island.

Background: Caught while roaming as a bounty hunter. Was terrorizing a local town until Zoro beat them. Has an explosive temper and can be difficult to control at times. More controlled after the timeskip but can still be egged into fits.

Reasoning: Sharp, mean-looking face. Has a long-term rivalry with another Pokemon (Seviper). Mark over left eye.

4) Treecko ♂️ -> Grovyle -> Sceptile

Met on/at: Long Ring Long Land Island.

Background: Watched their Davy Back fight. Thought they were kinda stupid ultimately liked their vibes and forced their way onto Zoro's team afterwards. Chose Zoro on a whim but it worked as they often nap together. Very chill, go-with-the-flow type.

Evolved: First at Sabaody while protecting Zoro from Kuma then finally over the timeskip. Was sneakily given a Mega-stone by Mihawk when the two years were up.

Reasoning: Green. Cutting attacks. Completes the Starter Trio with Luffy and Sanji.

5) Charcadet ♂️ -> Ceruledge

Met on/at: Thriller Bark.

Background: Was helping them from the shadows as they were too weak to take on Moria straight on. Saw the confrontation with Kuma and was greatly moved. Wants to be trained by Zoro.

Evolved: Over the timeskip.

Reasoning: Sword arms. Got stronger via cursed artifacts like Zoro's swords.

6) Applin ♀️ -> Dipplin -> Hydrapple

Met on/at: Wano.

Background: Saw Zoro as he pretended to be a traveling ronin in the capital. Became completely enamored by him. Kept following him and randomly popping out to give him food or lead him places. Young powerhouse. Really wants to protect and impress him.

Evolved: First when Toko gave Zoro a candied apple which Zoro then gave to them (since he doesn't like sweets). Had no idea it could evolve them. Then finally during the Onigashima battle.

Reasoning: Multi-headed dragon similar to three-sword style. Also funny for him to have a sweets-based Pokemon despite disliking sweets. Draws parallel to his friendship with Chopper.

Nami:

1) Meowth ♂️ -> Persian

Met on/at: Random East Blue Island.

Background: Caught in an attempt to abuse Pay Day. Wasn't efficient, only upsetting both of them, and gave them a rough start. Eventually grew to understand and trust each other. Becomes very spoiled later on, as Nami wants to give them a good life.

Evolved: Found a Mega-stone in treasure at Thriller Bark. Only achieved it after the timeskip.

Reasoning: Ability to sense on-coming disasters similar to Nami being able to spot storms and her navigation capabilities. Shiny to match her hair.

3) Gimmighoul ⚧️ -> Gholdengo

Met on/at: Skypiea.

Background: Found roaming form in treasure from Skypiea. Freaked out before taking up residence in Nami's treasure. Very good at keeping it organized and safe for her. Not much of a fighter but focuses on keeping the ship safe when the crew is on land. Likes to watch her draw maps.

Evolved: Entirely by accident while trying to protect their treasure at Thriller Bark. Was not looking forward to having Nami find out some of the treasure was now part of their body.

Reasoning: Treasure, gold.

4) Castform ♂️

Met on/at: Weatheria.

Background: Lived with the Weather Wizards to aid them in their studies. Was moved by Nami's drive to help Luffy and then by her bountiful knowledge and skill. Helps her improve Clima-Tact range. Chose to go with her so they could become stronger together as well as see her achieve her dream. Later becomes BFFs with Zeus.

Reasoning: Weather-based abilities.

5) Wattrel ♀️ -> Kilowattrel

Met on/at: Weatheria.

Background: Befriended the entire flock while practicing lightning attacks. Chose to stay with her to keep ‘playing’. A little air-headed but well-meaning. Also BFFs with Zeus.

Evolved: At Dressrossa, while fighting Giolla. Not good at remembering their much bigger now and keeps trying to sit on Nami's shoulder.

Reasoning: Electric bird. Comparable to Nami's favorite attack with Thunder Tempo.

6) Dratini ♂️ -> Dragonair -> Dragonite

Met on/at: On the way to Fish-man Island.

Background: A scardy-cat but still tries to keep sailors safe. Got caught up in the mess with the kraken and volcano on the journey to the island. Stuck with Nami because she let them curl around her shoulders when they got scared. Officially joined at the end of the arc.

Evolved: First during the escape from WCI and then finally during the battle at Onigashima while desperately trying to protect Nami.

Reasoning: Saves sailors from storms and wrecks just like Nami navigates them to safety. Kindhearted.

Special Note: Nami is afraid of Bug Type Pokemon.

Usopp:

1) Spinarak ♂️ -> Ariados

Met on/at: Syrup Village.

Background: First friend, partners in crime. Helped back-up Usopp's lies however they could. Desperately wants to befriend Nami and Sanji (going slowly).

Evolved: During the timeskip. Took so long to evolve because of their personal fear they weren't going to be good enough to help Usopp achieve his dream.

Reasoning: Usopp claims to have played with spiders as a kid.

2) Remoraid ♀️ -> Octillary

Met on/at: Seas of Alabasta.

Background: Fished up on the way to Alabasta. Was too scrawny to eat, took offense to that, and made it their problem until caught by Usopp. Constantly disobeyed him, causing trouble and spitting water at them. Only grew to respect and listen to him in Enies Lobby, both out of his love for Merry and his strength to stand up for Robin.

Evolved: While protecting them at Enies Lobby, when they were stuck on the platform.

Reasoning: Gun fish for the sniper.

3) Finizin ♂️ -> Palafin

Met on/at: Water 7.

Background: Met while he tried to fix Merry. Usopp would talk to Merry and his voice drew in some wild sea Pokemon. Thought it was touching how much he cared for the ship. Saw him and Franky get kidnapped by CP-9, chasing after the sea train. Saw the ���birth’ of and idolizes Sogeking.

Evolved: As they were leaving Water 7, hyped up by Usopp returning to his friends and wanting to protect them from Garp.

Reasoning: Superhero Pokemon = Sogeking.

4) Dreepy ♀️ -> Drakloak -> Dragapult

Met on/at: Thriller Bark.

Background: Followed them out of curiosity. Got slingshot-ed away by Usopp by accident when he panicked thanks to the zombies. Turned out to love being launched by Usopp's slingshot, kept coming back to him and even offering to help if he kept doing it. Refused to leave.

Evolved: First during the timeskip and then again at Dressrosa, during the final battle.

Reasoning: Likes being shot around. Good for a sniper. Also funny since Usopp is scared of ghosts.

5) Toedscool ♂️ -> Toedscruel

Met on/at: Boin Archipelago.

Background: Tried to kill Usopp at first but had a change of heart when Usopp accidentally saved them both from being eaten by the island. Helped him hone his skills and ammunition, then joined after two years.

Evolved: Over the two years.

Reasoning: Goofy, good at running away really fast. Draws comparisons to Usopp's use of plants and the like later.

6) Floragato ♂️ -> Meowscarada

Met on/at: Dressrosa.

Background: Was particularly feisty and troublesome and thus was turned into a toy by Sugar. Witnessed the God Usopp fight. Was more baffled then moved, choosing to follow Usopp out of morbid curiosity. Respect was grudgingly won when they watched him prepare his attack to protect Luffy from Sugar later on.

Evolved: During the battle at Onigashima.

Reasoning: Uses sleight of hand, showy, like Usopp. Similar to Palafin and Sogeking.

Special Note: Afraid of Ghost Type Pokemon. Still startles around Robin's.

Sanji:

1) Rattata ♂️ (shiny) ⭐️

Met on/at: Germa Kingdom.

Background: One of the rats he fed. Found Sanji in the dungeon and kept him company. Escaped with him, officially being caught once on the ship. Only survived the shipwreck because Sanji forced them to stay in their Pokeball, which kept them in a decent enough stasis until they were found, but only just barely. Has refused to return to their ball ever since.

Evolved: No. Refuses to evolve out of fear of becoming too big to hide on Sanji's person.

Reasoning: Sanji fed mice. Shiny to look more like his hair and play off the idea of a ‘waste of a shiny’. IE a weak or non-viable fighter Pokemon getting a shiny spawn instead of a cooler Pokemon, making the bad shiny more insulting. Sanji was a failure because he didn't mutate, Rattata was a failure because it did mutate.

2) Torchic ♀️ -> Combusken -> Blaziken

Met on/at: Baratie.

Background: A gift from Zeff when he started teaching him how to fight. Sparring partners. Doesn't tolerate Sanji's nonsense with women and will drag him away if they need to. Assists him in the kitchen as well.

Evolved: First evolves at Arlong Park then finally at Enies Lobby. Gifted a Mega-stone by Iva during the timeskip.

Reasoning: Fire-type kicking Pokemon. Completes the Starter Trio with Luffy and Zoro.

3) Feebas ♀️ -> Milotic

Met on/at: Baratie.

Background: Met after opening the Baratie, trying to steal scraps from trash because they were having trouble finding food thanks to being so weak. Sanji cooked them something fresh and told them they could always come to him if they were hungry. Doted on over the years as Sanji honed his cooking. Believes in his dream of the All Blue. Becomes intensely protective of him upon evolving. Love at first sight with Zoro's Magikarp/Gyarados. Thinks he's a real charmer even as a Magikarp. Was starstruck when he evolved. Becomes a mated pair after Little Garden. Neither Sanji or Zoro are aware.

Evolved: To protect him when Don Kreig attacked.

Reasoning: Hard to find yet very pathetic and weak Pokemon in first stage Originally evolves by increasing beauty stat via feeding poffins/special food. Mirrors Zoro's Magikarp/Gyarados.

4) Milcery ♀️ -> Alcremie (Love-Sweet, Matcha)

Met on/at: Kamabakka Kingdom.

Background: Aided him in improving his cooking and fighting skills. Let him vent about Iva and the others, eventually then about the Strawhats and his worries. Prefers cooking to fighting but doesn't shy away from a fight. Very calm and collected.

Evolved: Over the two years. Sanji picked her up while talking/venting over a long night and started gushing. Did his spinny thing.

Reasoning: Food Pokemon.

5) Type: Null ⚧️ -> Silvally

Met on/at: Germa Kingdom.

Background: Found in the Germa cloning lab being experimented on during WCI. Broke them free out of rage during his fight with his siblings, telling it to run. It ran off but found him and Luffy later, tentatively joining them because it didn't know where to go. Sanji had a difficult time looking at them at first but they were able to bond over time. Treats Rattata like an older sibling.

Evolved: During the fight with Queen in Wano. Was brought to tears as Queen tried to kill them and berated them on being Judge's work, given hope when Sanji denied him. Broke their helmet to stand with him.

Reasoning: Artificially created based on a God (Arceus), comparable to the theory that the Vinsmokes were trying to recreate Devil Fruit abilities (hence the swirl brows). Also, helmet, and the symbology of destroying the helmet thanks to friendship and to become stronger. “Through the bond it formed with its Trainer, its will was strengthened, and it was able to destroy its control mask.”

6) Bounsweet ♀️ -> Steenee -> Tsareena

Met on/at: Wano.

Background: Lived in the flower capital of Wano. Hung out around Sanji's noodle stand after he opened it. Befriended Rattata and snuck into Sanji's pocket with them. Didn't really have a reason, very air-headed and doofy. Not a single thought in their head. Doted on by Sanji nonetheless. Surprisingly vicious in a fight upon evolving.

Evolved: First during the battle at Onigashima, then again later at Egghead Island.

Reasoning: Leggy Pokemon.

Special Note: Afraid of Bug Type Pokemon.

Chopper:

1) Egg -> Happiny ♀️ -> Chansey -> Blissey

Met on/at: Jaya.

Background: Found as an egg in the forest of Jaya, while they were looking for a South Bird. Hatched during the freedom party in Skypiea and imprinted on Chopper. Likes to hide under his hat or in his backpack before evolving.

Evolved: First evolved over the timeskip and then again at Wano.

Reasoning: OG healing Pokemon. Pink.

2) Audino ♀️

Met on/at: Torino Kingdom.

Background: Was learning medicine alongside Chopper. Chose to go with him after being told stories of the Strawhats’ adventures by Chopper (half out of admiration, half out of horror over the injuries gotten).

Evolved: Gifted a Mega-stone by the birds (it was in their shiny stash).

Reasoning: Another good nurse Pokemon. Mega-evolves like Chopper's forms.

3) Smoliv ♂️ -> Dolliv -> Arboliva

Met on/at: Zou.

Background: Was touched by the Strawhats saving the Minks. Wants to help people like Chopper does. Doesn't like fighting. Helps tend to Chopper's medicinal garden.

Evolved: For the first time at WCI and then again later while breaking Luffy out of jail in Wano.

Reasoning: Kind Pokemon. Seed Sower ability causes healing. Good support for medical care.

Special Note: Chopper isn't wholly comfortable with having Pokemon partners thanks to his own animal nature. The three he has wouldn't take no for an answer. He treats them more like students or assistants. He can understand Pokemon-speak though it's like deciphering a very thick accent.

Robin:

1) Budew ♀️ (Shiny) ⭐️ -> Roselia -> Roserade

Met on/at: Ohara

Background: Only friend before Saul arrived. Escaped with her when Ohara burned. Extremely protective of her, slow to trust others. Will have no mercy on those that betray or threaten Robin. Relaxes a bit after Enies Lobby, trusting the Strawhats unconditionally to have their back.

Evolved: First evolved not long after escaping Ohara, while protecting a sleeping Robin. Evolved again a couple years down the line when she started going through pirate crews.

Reasoning: Comparable to Robin's Devil Fruit. Shiny colors for darker feelings.

2) Galarian Yamask ♂️ -> Runerigus

Met on/at: Random Ruins

Background: Met in some ruins during her travels to find the Poneglyphs. Likes to people watch. Tends to accidentally creep on others without meaning too, forgetting that ghost powers frighten people.

Evolved: Before joining Crocodile.

Reasoning: Runes. History based and creepy.

3) Cofagrigus ♀️

Met on/at: Random Ruins.

Background: Similar to above. Tried to lure her to her death but was soundly defeated. Was told her goals, piquing their curiosity, and decided to join her. Likes when Robin reads to them or talks about her latest discoveries. Also likes pranking/scaring Usopp, Chopper, and Brook.

Evolved: Before meeting Robin.

Reasoning: Sarcophagus. History stuff. Lottsa hands.

4) Unown (D) ⚧️

Met on/at: Skypiea.

Background: Met while looking through the ruins. Helped her figure out where the bell and Poneglyph were. Feels a pull towards Poneglyphs but cannot explain why. Often seems nervous for no particular reason.

Reasoning: Mysterious. D.

5) Zorua ♀️ (Hisuian) -> Zoroark

Met on/at: Random Island.

Background: Met while traveling with the Revolutionary Army. Was a rescue from an island ravaged by bad marines. Originally meant to be given to the marines in a trade before the RA showed up. Apparently was a regular dark type at that point but died in the ensuing chaos, then somehow came back. Was feral and lashing out in the RA's care but Robin was able to get through to them. Bonded over their painful histories. Wants to help see Robin's dream through.

Evolved: Over the two years.

Reasoning: History of Zoroarks being hunted similar to Robin being hunted by marines. Contrast between Unovan and Hisuian, pairs well with Robin originally seeking death before the Strawhats. Illusions good for evading people.

6) Houndour ♂️

Met on/at: Wano.

Background: Belonged to the Beast Pirates. Was newly hatched when it witnessed Robin fight Black Maria. Felt safe and confused Robin for their mother. Tried to protect her from Brooke when she passed out afterwards. Very cuddly. Loves kisses. Gets dressed up in little outfits.

Evolved: No. Too baby.

Reasoning: Demon dog but actually very sweet. Demonic doesn’t mean evil or bad. Similar to Robin's demon form.

Franky:

1) Squirtle ♂️ -> Wartortle -> Blastoise

Met on/at: Outskirts of Water 7.

Background: Was one of the kids of the Blastoise that saved Franky after being thrown overboard. Was fascinated by him. Stuck around and help fish him out again after being hit by the train.

Evolved: First evolved while trying to pull Franky to safety after the train accident. Later evolved again while running the Franky Family.

Reasoning: Canons. Big, sturdy Pokemon.

2) Golett ⚧️ -> Golurk

Met on/at: The junk ship.

Background: Met after Franky was hit by the train. Was haunting around the scrap heap. Was inspired by how Franky rebuilt himself. Likes to have funky designs painted on their armor, like Franky's star arm tattoos.

Evolved: At Thriller Bark.

Reasoning: Toy-robot like.

3) Galarian Zigzagoon ♀️ (Shiny) ⭐️ -> Linoone -> Obstagoon

Met on/at: Water 7

Background: Stray that he picked up after returning to Water 7. Escaped from visiting pirates. Part of the Franky Family gang, helping steal from pirates. Loves parties and loud music. Leaps before looking.

Evolved: Evolves for the first time while infiltrating Enies Lobby to save Franky and Robin. Evolves again at Dressrosa.

Reasoning: Gang-related (via Sw/Sh), loud and unapologetic. Actually not a bad guy. Shiny as the bright colors match Frank better and stand out more. Goofy.

4) Varoom ♀️ -> Revavroom

Met on/at: Water 7.

Background: Picked up by the Franky Family. Helped power-up Franky's bigger inventions. Can join together with General Franky to give him a boost in strength as well as some poison abilities, and with the Sunny for an emergency boost if low on cola.

Evolved: During the timeskip.

Reasoning: Car. Gang-related (via Sc/Vi). Still not the bad guys. Mechanical.

5) Miraidon ⚧️

Met on/at: Baldimore.

Background: Met at Vegapunk's abandoned lab. Inspired many of Franky's updates and inventions. Timid around new people. Likes Franky because he smells like metal and oil. Is introduced to burgers by Franky, having an enlightening moment. Can be bribed with promises of burgers or fries. Is capable of connecting to any Vegapunk system to download or transfer data. Does not necessarily understand what it means or how to decrypt it.

Reasoning: Motorcycle. Extremely technologically advanced. No line between machine and beast/man. Sandwich gag. Relation to famous scientist.

6) Tinkatink ♀️ -> Tinkatuff -> Tinkaton

Met on/at: Dressrosa.

Background: Was confused as a toy at first. Kept trying to use parts of Franky to make a hammer. Constantly following him and almost getting hurt during the big battle. He liked their spunk. Cannot be left unsupervised in the workshop or they'll keep making bigger and bigger hammers from whatever it finds.

Evolved: First by the end of Dressrosa and then again Egghead Island.

Reasoning: Goofy but strong.

Brook:

1) Chatot ♂️

Met on/at: Random passing ship.

Background: Met while drifting at sea. Their old partner was killed, so they found comfort in each other. Liked Brooke's singing. Officially joined him after Thriller Bark.

Reasoning: Parrot+Pirate=✅️. Musical.

2) Cubone ♂️ -> Alolan Marowak

Met on/at: Thriller Bark.

Background: Lost their family and original partner. Joined Brook tentatively after seeing him mourn his crew in front of their grave.

Evolved: During the two years. One of the few Ghosts Brook isn't afraid of.

Reasoning: Dead friends. “This Pokémon sets the bone it holds on fire and dances through the night as a way to mourn its fallen allies.” Reminds me of Brook's big attack in WCI.

3) Sewaddle ♂️ -> Swadloon -> Leavanny

Met on/at: Sabaody.

Background: Fell onto Brook while they were running from Kuma, was sent with him during the split. Was comforted by Brook and eventually partnered with him. Reminds Brook of his late partner Kricketune. Likes to dance when Brook plays music. Sadly not very good at making music or playing any instrument despite practice but has fun all the same.

Evolved: Both over the timeskip.

Reasoning: Similar to a Kricketune. Agile, light, with sword arms. Similar to Brook.

4) Toxtricity ♀️

Met on/at: Random Island.

Background: Met while touring during the two years. Helped Brook explore more modern music methods. Played back-up while he toured. Tends to accidentally shock Brook when excited. Gets along very well with Franky's Obstagoon.

Evolved: Before meeting Brook.

Reasoning: Represents Brook's electric guitar.

5) Popplio ♀️ -> Brionne -> Primerina

Met on/at: Fish-man Island.

Background: Originally apprenticing with the mermaid cafe/dancers. Heard Brook's music and wanted to learn from him. Thinks he's hilarious, though they don't know what panties are. Will show him random items when he asks to see someones. Gossip buddies with Sanji's Milotic.

Evolved: During the fight with Giolla and again at WCI.

Reasoning: Singer. Also mermaid related, goes well with his perv nature/gags.

6) Fuecoco ♂️ -> Crocalor -> Skeledirge

Met on/at: Dressrosa.

Background: Big Soul King Brook fan. Recognized the Strawhats at Dressrosa and followed them. Sneaks aboard to Zou to meet Brook. Was disappointed by his frazzled appearance at Zou at first but stuck around. Was won over by his dedication on WCI. Strong but prefers making music to fighting.

Evolved: First on WCI then again during the Onigashima battle.

Reasoning: “Skeledirge’s gentle singing soothes the souls of all that hear it.” Also goes well with his electric guitar.

Special Note: He did have another team before his death but they too passed away. He also refuses to have a Wailmer/Wailord on his team as it would feel disrespectful, like trying to replace Laboon (a normal whale). Afraid of Ghost type Pokemon - takes time to adjust to Robin's team.

Jimbe:

1) Basculin ♂️ -> Basculegion

Met on/at: Fish-man Island.

Background: Childhood partner. Has always been by his side. Very honorable and willing to sacrifice for the greater good, though they're not always sure what that is exactly.

Evolved: Evolved fighting off bad human pirates, almost dying. Before Jimbe joined the royal guards.

Reasoning: Old-man fish. Can embody loss and perseverance against racism.

2) Oshawott ♂️ -> Dewott -> Hisuian Samurott

Met on/at: Fish-man Island.

Background: Met when he joined the royal guards. Belonged to them in general. Was partnered up with Jimbe. Didn't get along at first but grew to understand each other. Didn't really agree with leaving the guard or trust Arlong but respected Jimbe and went with him to expand their horizons.

Evolved: First while working as the royal guards and then evolved again while sailing under Fisher-Tiger.

Reasoning: Honorable, samurai-like.

3) Poliwhirl ♂️ -> Poliwrath

Met on/at: Random sea.

Background: Met after becoming a pirate. Had anger issues and went with Jimbe after losing to him, wanting revenge. Calmed with age but will blow a fuse if pushed hard enough.

Evolved: While sailing under Fisher-Tiger. Stole a Waterstone off a marine ship.

Reasoning: Fighting. Similar rage to Jimbe in his youth.

4) Kubfu ♀️ -> Rapid-Strike Urshifu

Met on/at: Random Island.

Background: Joined after Jimbe became a Warlord. Met him as he traveled the lands. Tried to pick a fight but was no match. Was taught Fish-man Karate by Jimbe.

Evolved: After mastering Fish-man Karate and being gifted a Water Scroll.

Reasoning: Represents Jimbe opening himself to humanity after Fisher-Tiger and Koala. Water based fighter. Karate.

5) Herdier ♂️ -> Stoutland

Met on/at: WCI.

Background: Met during WCI. Had bumped into him in passing a couple times before and witnessed his showdown with Big Mom. Was greatly moved by his resolve. Having slowly built up resentment for Big Mom's treatment of her family and disregard for life, they defected and aided their escape. Partnered with Jimbe but was requested to go ahead with the Strawhats both as proof they'd meet again and so he'd know they're being watched over by such an honorable soul.

Evolved: After Jimbe returned, at the Onigashima battle.

Reasoning: “This extremely wise Pokémon excels at rescuing people stranded at sea or in the mountains.” Similar honorable/proud nature. Dependable like Jimbe.

Special Note: Jimbe still has space for one more Pokemon to represent how new he is to the Strawhats and is still carving his place. Will fill the space in time.
