Do you prefer Entrapta's original mask or bug mask?

I've written about this before, in my very first Entrapta post, but I would say that while the original mask has a stronger aesthetic going on, with the whole contrast of bubbly personality vs evil and emotionless robot mask and how that plays into villain coding, I prefer the second bug mask.

I guess it's the same reason I like Catra's shorter hair, but with more to it. There is a history - the mask is no longer an industrial welding helmet designed to make Entrapta look like one of her robots, but instead it's something she scavenged from a robo bug, broken and clearly not made for this purpose but doing the job all the same. It still looks intimidating, but in a different way, like a beast rather than a machine. The eyes glow teal-blue against a pink face, instead of magenta against black. It's like a jedi lightsaber change, lmao.

I like the more feral yet friendly look, and I ESPECIALLY love that the mask isn't perfect, it's cracked, it's basically scrap, but she never repairs it. The change in itself suits her evolution.

am i the only one who found it weird that entrapta was attracted to robots and machines? which were not implied to be sentient in the slightest?

(at least emily seemed to act like a pet, i don't recall darla or that random robot being sentient at all; and it would be equally, if not more weird, if entrapta was implied to be attracted to emily)

i don't care about the sexualization since entrapta is an adult, and creators putting barely disguised adult jokes into children's shows isn't anything new. but to have the only autistic character be sexually attracted to robots is.. kinda icky to me.

It's the first calm day on Darla since they saved the cat. Adora and Glimmer attempt to make pancakes while Catra tries to apologize for the portal and figure out where she fits in the BFS dynamic. Meanwhile Entrapta almost kills everyone and tries to seduce the spaceship AI while Bow is not really in this chapter because he actually gets to sleep for the first time all fic.

My favorite moment of Adora accepting Entrapta wildness is at the end of "Save the Cat" she calls the ship Darla super seriously but just like totally accepts the fact her First One ship is named Darla while She-Ra as they escape Horde Prime's ship.

Yeah, and the thing is, that isn't just acceptance of Entrapta's weird quirks either, it's actually the gang slowly picking up on her humanising of the AI, which is far more interesting.

At the start of things, everyone sees Emily as just a horde robot, Darla as just Mara's Ship. But because Entrapta names them and talks to them like people (whether they start with true sapience notwithstanding), they do too, initially just to be respectful, until before you know it they've started seeing the machines as friends. Everyone is initially very >.> when Entrapta names Darla, but within a couple of episodes they're doing it naturally.

Take Emily and Scorpia as another example - before long, they became thick as thieves. Then because she's Scorpia's friend, the Alliance treated Emily like a prisoner rather than a horde bot, lmao.

This all has parallels to Hordak and Wrong Hordak, obviously, Catra and BFS respectively shifting their stances based on what Entrapta brings out of them (in WH's case it was a joint project with Bow, in Catra's case she went "holy shit Hordak is a nerd and a loser" and she was correct), but the thing it's most reminiscent of is Light Hope.

At first Adora didn't see Light Hope as anything but a pain in the ass, and talked to her like garbage at several points, like she had no emotions at all. It didn't help that Light Hope consistently treated Adora like garbage with no feelings too.

But as soon as she saw how Mara treated her, very much like a person, and that Light Hope had a capacity for emotion and connection, Adora's tune changed. And even though she found out Light Hope was super evil, she never stopped believing that there was good in her, even when Mara had given up, even when Light Hope killed Mara and was going to kill everyone else. Because, at that point, Adora realised Light Hope was shackled by her programming, just like Adora herself.

So yeah, i dont know if it's connected but it makes sense Adora's the first person naming the space ship AI properly, lmao.
