can i just say, it still makes me feel a little crazy how astarion, come act 3, still can’t quite put a name to his relationship with his partner, but he WILL tell them he wants to keep them both safe.

he won’t say i love you just yet but he will say forever, for good.

listen like 99% of the posts about how you don’t really need to fear getting older because there’s not actually any rules saying you have to give up all your fun interests and hobbies and lifestyle choices are true and you should absolutely look forward to getting older and enjoying your interests more often

however. one thing about getting older i was unprepared for. you are going to be SHOCKED around your mid-20s at the suddenness with which you can no longer function on no sleep. like it is quite literally going to feel like one day you have to pull an all-nighter and you’re fine besides behind a lil tired and then the next week when you have to do it again you are going to feel like a cartoon steamroller ran over you at some point in the night. and if you’re a night owl like me who’s used to staying up till stupid hours of the night, it is going to kick your ass viciously and mercilessly until you start forcing yourself to go to bed at a reasonable hour.

this is the true curse of adulthood.

I saw this post on here about an immortal who could share their gift with only one other being, they love and lose many throughout the centuries, then they fell in love and their partner asked why they wouldn't share their immortality and they confessed that they gave it to their cat. At first I laughed, but after thinking about it for a minute it seems pretty valid actually.
