#sorry for being late again#at this point i dont know if i need to say why cos its almost always the same reason: accidentally falling asleep#which is the case this time#as for what happened today i met with our executive director for quite a few reasons#but pretty much the main one was for me to talk to her about how my supervisor has been treating me as of late#(specifically the past couple of months but especially this past week)#cos making me cry once and nearly making me cry another time right as im about to head to court for a hearing with a client is fucked up#and not at all how we should be treating each other (especially supervisors to their subordinates) at a domestic violence agency#and it seems like my supervisor is being so passive aggressive and outright mean to me because my coworker got fired#(shes shown favouritism toward that coworker)#(and im worried she thinks i got him fired when i was only one of many people to bring up to our executive director)#(the ways in which he was harming clients and doing things that are prohibited in our employee handbook)#but my conversation with our executive director went extremely well and made me feel validated and heard and safe/comfy#when it comes to the prompt i know it seems a little redundant or too straightforward#but there is something about it that strikes me as it being mystical or almost cottagecore in a way#it is very aesthetically pleasing to me and the feeling i get from it is nice#i just have absolutely no idea what to write about still#so im hoping something comes to me in due time#thanks for reading#writing#writer#creative writing#writing prompt#writeblr#trying to be a writeblr at least

hello soulmate | min yoongi
Tumblr media
summary: your first day on the job doesn't turn out the exact way you envisioned
pairing: min yoongi x hype employee reader
genre: soulmate au, soulmarks, fluff,
warnings: running, unhappy coworkers, some injury
word count: 1.7k
masterlist
------------------------------------------------------
Running was not your forte, and neither was breathing apparently as you choke trying to get air into your lungs as you reach the fortunately empty elevator.
You were running late, and you were seconds away from being fired on your third day of work. You had just gotten the job as one of the content creators for a variety show through one of the big four entertainment companies, and today was the first official day at the company.
HYBE was bigger than you imagined, and thus, the reason you were late. You had gotten lost on the first floor and then there were issues with your ID card getting past security. But you manage to reach the 12th floor in record time and use the piece of paper you received the last meeting to find the correct room.
It was slight chaos when you opened the door, unsurprisingly as you now realized who you would be working with for the variety show. Everything was kept top secret until you were approved by HYBE and showed up on the first day, after signing numerous NDA’s of course.
The BTS boys were having fun and running amuck as they waited for the shoot to start. It was supposed to be just a fun shoot, numerous arcade games set up throughout the room and a table set in the middle where some challenges were going to take place later on.
You looked around after taking in the room, trying to set eyes on your director. Eventually you find him talking to your fellow creators, going over the different challenges that would be taking place.
“—After the water bottle challenge, we’re going to move onto the karaoke booth.” You arrive just at the tail end of the run through, but you manage to understand anyways, seeing as you all had a copy of the schedule for the day.
“Where have you been? Never mind, you’re working on the individual camera today.” Your director questions you but doesn’t give you any time to explain yourself before moving on and assigning you your task. You quickly nod your head, before moving to grab one of the video cameras from the table.
You would be in charge of taking individual behind the scenes videos and photos for the social media accounts. You had seen episodes of Run BTS before and knew how much moving you would be doing today.
Again. Running wasn’t your thing.
“What are you doing?” You turn your head to see a slightly older woman in front of you, her hands on her hips as she looks towards the camera in your hands.
“I was assigned individual shots today, Ma’am.” You respond as politely as you can, getting bad feelings from the woman in front of you.
You could almost feel that you would be having problems with her. You tried to be respectful though, not wanting to step on anyone’s toes on your first official day.
The woman just looked you up and down, her nose crinkling a little before she spoke. “Just don’t get in my way. I’ve been doing this longer than you have and don’t need some inexperienced newbie messing up my photos.”
You can only nod before she is walking past you, bumping into your shoulder on her way past.
‘What the heck?’ you think, turning to watch as she steps forward and begins to talk to one of the supervisors who was in the middle of talking to Namjoon. Shaking your head, you move to the edge of the set, close to the basketball arcade shot game.
You had a good view of the other games from here and felt you could maneuver through the set easier from where you were set up. Bringing your camera up to your eyes, you begin taking some practice shots, making sure the lighting was good and the settings on the camera aligned with what you wanted to photograph.
It took you some time, but eventually you were able to begin taking photos of the boys who had come back to mess around with the games after getting changed and before the actual shoot started.
You were so focused on the pictures that you didn’t even notice one of the boys moving up to you.
“Hi! You must be one of the new creators! I’m Taehyung.” The bright eyed man bounced right up to you when he noticed you, hand held in front of you to shake your hand as he introduced himself.
You put your camera down, smiling softly as you brought your hand to meet his, introducing yourself. As you did, you caught his attention on your wrist, where your soulmark resided. The initials of your soulmate were written in short, quick writing, the gray M and Y staring back up at you since the minute you turned sixteen.
Taehyung’s smile only seemed to widen once you introduced yourself, a twinkle in his eyes that wasn’t there before. You could barely blink before the director was calling for the boys to get into place; the shoot was about to begin.
You smile as you watch him bounce away again, his energy levels palpable as you hold your camera up again.
The next hour was spent moving slowly throughout the edge of the set up game room, trying to get as many good shots as you could. You noticed that Taehyung gravitated towards you and seemed to pull Yoongi with him to play the basketball game, Jungkook following behind to try and battle against the basketball player.
You moved closer to get a picture of both boys making a basket and scoring a point when someone stepped on your foot causing pain to radiate up your ankle and shin. A gasp leaves your lips as you look towards your left to see the woman from earlier, a glare set on her dark eyes as she almost pushes you aside.
You end up tripping over the cord to another game and just barely manage to catch yourself on the corner of said game before injuring yourself or ruining the shoot. You were so focused on the pain in your foot you didn’t even notice the burning in your wrist as your soulmark gets darker.
You didn’t notice the three men witnessing the entire thing, nor the dark looks Taehyung was sending to the older woman. A break was luckily called soon enough and you tried to move away back to the far wall but a hand on your arm stops you.
“What was that? I thought I told you not to get in my way?!” The older woman steps in front of you, her hand still gripping tightly to your forearm.
“I’m sorry, Ma’am. It won’t happen again.” You grit out as politely as you can, the pain in your ankle making you want to sit down but you knew you needed to just go along with what she was saying, not wanting any trouble.
“No. Don’t apologize.” You both turn to your right to see Taehyung, Yoongi and Jungkook, all three eyeing the hand gripping onto your forearm. The woman is quick to release you when she realizes what the boys were seeing.
“Oh boys! Don’t worry about this. I’m just giving some advice to the newbie.” The woman was quick to put on the sweet tone as she speaks to them. You just want to roll your eyes.
Pulling your arm back to your chest, rubbing against where you knew her grip was going to leave some bruises. Your sleeve had rolled back down and your forearm was on full display, along with your soulmark.
“Advice? It seemed like you stepped on and pushed someone out of the way. That is not okay nor something we want to see happen between our employees.” Yoongi’s voice was low, each word spoken slowly as if to ensure the woman knew exactly what she had done.
Jungkook moved to you while Taehyung and Yoongi were talking to the woman, his hand holding onto your own, softly and a huge contrast to the woman as he tilts your forearm around to see the spot where the woman held you.
The skin was red and he knew it would bruise. This was unacceptable and he would make sure that the woman would be reprimanded for her actions. As Jungkook continued to look over your arm, his attention was caught by your soulmark, his hyungs initials on the inside of your wrist.
‘No wonder Taehyung kept bringing him to where you were…’ Jungkook mused, a small smile on his lips as the thought of Taehyung trying to bring you two together.
Well, no time like the present.
Taehyung agreed, as his next words caught the attention of everyone.
“You hurt Yoongi’s mate.” Your eyes widened as your head turned quickly to see Yoongi already staring at you, your faces both sharing the expression of shock. Jungkook was still holding your wrist, bringing you the two feet until you were right in front of Yoongi.
You were silent, trying to process everything as Yoongi looked down at your held out wrist, his initials written in his own handwriting. Slowly, he pulled his own sleeve up, showing you his soulmark.
Your initials were written in your own soft script, smooth cursive showing on his inner wrist, the same spot as your own.
You were lost in your own world, oblivious to all of the noise and emotions happened outside the two of you. Yoongi slowly brought his hand to your wrist, his thumb rubbing over the top of your soulmark, gray turning to a dark black as the soulbond snaps into place confirming Taehyung’s suspicions.
“Hello, soulmate.” A gummy smile burns into your retina, a memory you never want to forget as warmth erupts in your soul.

WIBTA for reporting my previous place of employment for shady work practices?
Disclaimer: this would be strictly petty revenge for firing me - while illegal, technically, the malpractice doesn't harm anyone.
This might get a little long.
Backstory:
I worked a receptionist position at a family-owned funeral home (in the US) where recently, the managing funeral director was replaced from a highly respected individual by a couple from a different state that had come out of retirement and were completely changing everything - some for the better, most to their liking... and some that while legal in their home state isn't allowed in the current state we are.
I had a strong feeling out the gate that the person out of the two that would end up becoming my direct supervisor didn't like any of the current staff, which got solidified when during a meeting she pretty much stated it would be her way or the highway.
Sometimes when we're slammed, we all work through our lunch and don't get a break for 8+ hours at all, so instead of forgoing eating altogether the entire staff got used to just scarfing down their food super fast at their desks.
We also don't have company cellphones, we only have landlines, and the way we dispatch our team to go pick someone up after they pass is to call the person to make sure they're available, and then text them the needed info (we also don't get a stipend to offset our cell bills).
Dilemma:
Tuesday morning, I got fired due to "gross insubordination" for a. eating at my desk and b. using my cellphone to call the dispatch team. The owner himself fired me, and was pretty rude and, imo, pretty heartless about it (due to some events that occurred on Sunday, I had to call out of work Monday, and when I asked if I should prep myself for the meeting since I had a rough weekend, he responded with "well, it's about to get worse").
He already had my final check in hand (which had a copy of my timesheet with the days that I skipped lunch marked as "busy" or "no lunch cover") along with a termination letter, so he didn't even care to hear my side of the story.
Since I was the receptionist, I've got receipts on some, if not most, of the slightly shady things that they were doing (i.e. selling insurance without a license, selling insurance under a different identity, breaking some state statutes from false advertising, etc etc), and was thinking about reporting them to the necessary agencies.
Its possible that this could lead to the place getting shut down (i dont doubt that the fines would definitely add up) and leave people without work (which is my main deterrent but out of everyone that works there, only a few of the original staff is still there - the rest have either quit or are actively looking), but at the same time, if they continue unchecked they're gonna keep getting away with it, keep making bank, and with the state we're in being a right to work state, as long as they can frame it a certain way, they can use anything at all to fire someone.
So... WIBTA if I went through the proper channels to report them for their malpractice and have them audited?
What are these acronyms?

managing up
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jade: Trailblazer, do you know anything about "managing up"? I heard it's a really popular concept among younger professionals Trailblazer: Mm-hmm. "If work is overwhelming you, reach out to your manager and pass some their way. If it isn't, pass some their way anyway," right? But I think it's unrealistic. Constantly clashing with your manager is a surefire way to get fired, isn't it Jade: It looks like you have a good understanding of it The young employees at the IPC have been talking about it, and their views have reached my ears Sentiments toward "managing up" largely depend on their supervisor's management style "Director Topaz may be a woman of swift and decisive action, but she listens to advice where she should." "Director Aventurine has a sharp eye for everything. Putting the initial 'whys' and 'hows' aside, if he says something can be done, then it will get done." Trailblazer: What about Madam Jade's style? Jade: Take a guess? Trailblazer: Can't tell... I've got a feeling that nobody can "managing up" with you Jade: Hmm... Or maybe it's the exact opposite The world of youths is a vibrant and dynamic one. The new generation inevitably surpasses the old But before that happens, as one who walks before them, I'll help them become the best versions of themselves Trailblazer: So this is the reason behind the workaholic culture at the IPC Jade: Diligence and fortitude are the keys to growth Not everyone gets the opportunity to climb higher From what I've seen, Trailblazer, you're a rare and unique gem If you're interested, why not come to the IPC and experience for yourself our uncompromising dedication to polishing oneself?

Titanic Model from Ghostbusters II
Tumblr media
"In the 1989 sequel Ghostbusters II, a buildup of psychomagnotheric mood slime beneath the streets of New York turns the city into a melting pot of paranormal activity, manifesting a number of the film’s most spine-tingling visuals, among them the 'better late than never' arrival of the Titanic.
To make the scene a reality, modelmakers John Goodson and Jeff Olson constructed a Titanic miniature out of plywood and urethane that, while highly detailed, took some liberties compared to the wreckage.
Tumblr media
In the November 1989 issue of Cinefex magazine, model shop supervisor at ILM Bill George would discuss these changes, among them the addition of skeletal smokestacks and director Ivan Reitman wanting the hole in the bow’s ship to appear larger, stating:
'We tried to be as accurate as we could using books, magazine articles, and videotape of the wreck, but we still had to make changes in two areas. One had to do with the fact that the smokestacks were torn off when the ship went down–but the ship without the smokestacks is less recognizable. So we built the smokestacks, making them very skeletal to kind of split the difference. The second change was because the director wanted the hole in the bow to be much larger than it actually was, and he also wanted the name on the ship moved so you could read it.'
Tumblr media
Contrary to what’s seen in the film, the Titanic miniature was broken in half. However, it’s never shown, with George, again, citing that this decision came from Reitman, adding:
'Although it’s very difficult to tell in the angle it was filmed at, our model was broken in half because the real ship split into two sections when it went down. Early on, we were thinking that it would be great to have the bow section come up and then have the aft section follow. There were also thoughts of seeing the ship floating above the water or rising up out of the water. But the director wanted the audience to be able to see one shot and get the whole joke. He did not want a sequence or any lead-in shots.'
Tumblr media
With pieces of the miniature being sold over the years, among them a recent Propstore auction containing the ship’s frontend closing at £10,000, much like the actual Titanic, Ghostbusters II’s take on the ocean liner is anything but still intact; however, for those who’d like to catch a glimpse of the scaled-down fabrication, the below image has been making the rounds.
While near complete, the miniature in the photo would see a handful of revisions before making its big screen debut, among them Reitman’s request to increase the damage seen on the bow.

In addition to the Titanic, a couple of other ghostly ideas were tossed around for Ghostbusters II‘s 'Flip City' montage, with star and co-writer Harold Ramis saying:
'We considered several ideas. One had the Hindenberg arriving with flaming passengers getting off carrying luggage that was also on fire. Another featured a ghostly subway station with rotting commuters. That was the precursor to the ghost train that is now in the film. We also had a cemetery scene where the gravestones were taking off like rockets. Then the idea for the Titanic hit me one day and that seemed to offer the most powerful images.'”

Task Force What? An Incomplete (Yet Still Very Long) Guide to Some of the DCU’s Government Groups [Part 2]
Welcome back to my writeup on 13 of the DCU's government organizations. Recognizing that everything in Part 1 was a ton of information to parse through, here’s a rough timeline of some of the groups’ movements and reorganizations. This time, I’ve put important people’s names in bold so you can track them. Again, much thanks to my editors and beta readers.
Part 1: Organization Descriptions and Histories
Part 2: Timeline
Part 3: Reading Suggestions
1940s-1980s
During WWII, Squadron S earns the nickname “The Suicide Squad” due to its high morality rate. Rick Flag Sr. is brought in to turn the squadron around, eventually making it a highly decorated and effective unit.
Senator McCarthy tries to force the Justice Society of America to unmask. They refuse, instead choosing to go into hiding.
Without the Justice Society to protect the U.S. from “extraordinary” threats, the President authorizes the creation of Task Force X. This group consisted of two wings: Argent and The Suicide Squad.
Rick Flag Sr. is killed in action during a Suicide Squad mission. This version of the Squad is disbanded.
Control, the leader of Argent, kills someone involved in JFK’s assassination. He subsequently directs Argent to go underground.
A new version of the Suicide Squad is formed, led by Rick Flag Jr. This version disbands after a mission in Cambodia. Flag’s supervisor reveals that the Squad was ultimately doomed anyway due to budget cuts.
At some point during the Cold War, Spyral is formed by the U.N., led by Otto Netz.
Project Cadmus is founded.
Sarge Steel becomes a leader in, if not the director of, the Central Bureau of Intelligence.
Katherine Webb Kane becomes Batwoman to try to uncover Batman’s identity for Spyral.
The Agency is founded by Valentina Vostok. The Agency’s work includes Project: Peacemaker.
Roy Harper joins the Central Bureau of Investigation. He meets Jade Nguyen through his work with the CBI.
Katherine Webb Kane is apparently killed by Ben Turner, the Bronze Tiger, while he is under the control of the League of Assassins.
Otto Netz is revealed to be a double agent and is imprisoned.
Mr. Bones is a quasi-member of Infinity Inc., legacy heroes springing from the Justice Society.
1980s-2000s
Amanda Waller presents her plan to reactivate Task Force X. This new Suicide Squad will use supervillains for high risk, covert missions. The Agency will be brought into Task Force X and subsequently reorganized as Checkmate, though Project: Peacemaker remains independent.
Rick Flag Jr. is made field leader of the Suicide Squad. Ben Turner, seeking atonement, becomes his second in command.
Sarge Steel is officially the Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Harry Stein is made King of Checkmate.
Amanda Waller and her Suicide Squad discover the remenants of Argent. With the majority of its members gone, Argent is officially declared to be disbanded.
The Janus Directive occurs. Massive reorganizations happen.
Task Force X is dissolved as an umbrella organization.
Amanda Waller is left in charge of the Suicide Squad.
Harry Stein remains as King of Checkmate, but they are forced to relocate. Project Peacemaker is incorporated into Checkmate.
Sarge Steel is made the Director of Metahuman Affairs, and is the direct supervisor for all other metahuman related agencies. He continues to oversee the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Amanda Waller disbands her Suicide Squad.
After the death of Superman, Project Cadmus tries to clone him. This results in the creation of Superboy.
Project Cadmus fires “mad scientist” Dabney Donovan.
A “clone plague” begins to affect Project Cadmus creations. This is revealed to be the creation of Dabney Donovan, who kills Paul Westfield.
Mickey Cannon becomes the new head of Project Cadmus. He keeps Dabney Donovan as an imprisoned scientific advisor and brings in geneticist Serling Roquette.
Harry Stein resigns as King of Checkmate. Phil Kramer and Kalia Cambell are made King and Queen, respectively.
Roy Harper leaves the CBI.
Mr. Bones is made the Director of the Department of Extranormal Operations.
Cameron Chase joins the Department of Extranormal Operations.
The Department of Extranormal Operations subcontracts A.P.E.S members Donald Fite and Ishido Maad for a recovery mission.
Lex Luthor becomes president.
Amanda Waller replaces Sarge Steel as Secretary of Metahuman Affairs in the Luthor Administration.
Knightwatch, a more militaristic branch of the Department of Extranormal Operations, protects the U.S. President from metahuman threats.
Director Bones manipulates the Justice Society into going against Kobra on the DEO’s behalf. This is not well received by the JSA.
Lex Luthor starts the Human Defense Corps to try to build a non-metahuman response team to extraordinary threats.
The Central Bureau of Investigation is absorbed into the Department of Extranormal Operations.
Sarge Steel becomes the head of the Department of Metahuman Affairs, a subdivision of the DEO.
Sasha Bordeaux is recruited into Checkmate by Jessica Midnight.
David Said is promoted to King
Helena Bertinelli is blackmailed by David Said into accepting a position as a Queen in Checkmate.
Lex Luthor leaves the White House. Amanda Waller subsequently leaves her position as Secretary for Metahuman Affairs.
Director Bones and Cameron Chase recruit Kate Spencer, the Manhunter, to work for the Department of Extranormal Operations.
Maxwell Lord becomes Black King of Checkmate.
Infinite Crisis happens.
Maxwell Lord kills Ted Kord once Kord uncovers Lord’s plot to use Checkmate against metahumans.
Sasha Bordeaux sends Batman evidence of Kord’s death, leading Lord to activate the OMACs to try to exterminate all Checkmate agents and metahumans on Earth.
Maxwell Lord is killed by Wonder Woman.
One Year Later
After Checkmate is rechartered as a U.N. organization, Amanda Waller is made White Queen. Due to her involvement in the Luthor White House, the U.N. only agrees to let Waller into Checkmate if she does not run operations. This means she cannot run any operations. The other initial leaders of this new Checkmate are Sasha Bordeaux, Alan Scott, and Taleb Beni Khalid.
Wonder Woman joins the Department of Metahuman Affairs in her new identity as Diana Prince.
Alan Scott resigns from Checkmate, tapping his Bishop–Michael Holt–to be the new White King.
Despite being prohibited from running operations, Amanda Waller reactivates a Suicide Squad and begins Operation: Salvation Run.
Once other Checkmate officials find out what Amanda Waller is up to, she is forced to resign from Checkmate. However, by that point, most supervillains had been deported via Operation: Salvation Run.
Squad K is developed out of the Human Defense Corps to specifically deal with Kryptonian threats.
After the events of Brightest Day, Maxwell Lord returns to life. He erases most of the world’s memory of him and begins a discrediting campaign against Checkmate in an attempt to regain power.
Talia al Ghul creates the Leviathan Organization. She frees Otto Netz from his imprisonment so that he can assist Leviathan.
Batman Incorporated begins to move against Leviathan, clearing the organization out of St. Hadrian’s Finishing School for Girls.
Damian Wayne kills Otto Netz to save Batman from a trap.
The New 52 Happens
Spyral takes control of St. Hadrian’s
Katherine Webb Kane reveals that she faked her death to lead Spyral in secret.
A.R.G.U.S. is founded to support metahumans at the federal level.
Dick Grayson is unmasked as Nightwing, and is recruited by Helena Bertinelli to be an agent of Spyral.
Bertinelli and Grayson leave Spyral. Tiger becomes the new Patron of Spyral.

on the monday after jeddah, eurosport fr dropped an episode of their podcast "les fous du volant" and one of the topics was, obviously, her. Scuderia Ferrari.
normally i wouldn't pay as much attention as to italian/british media but given that we have a stronger french presence in Ferrari again, i think these reports shouldn't be completely ignored. so, i listened to it and i did some notes, in case you guys missed it.
so, from 27:31, they talk about how the current performance and expectations for the season are just the tip of the iceberg. i split it into general topics, stuff that is important to note is in bold:
gino rosato: his function was external relations (link up and host the VIPs + any other task that involved dealing with the world outside of maranello); joined Ferrari before jean todt but just as an occasional freelancer - todt made him a full time employer; montezemolo and kimi protected him. he left with kimi in 2009 and came back with him in 2014; main feeling is that his role was more politic than it seemed and he acted as a supervisor of both inner and outer Ferrari at times; vigna took the Scuderia by his own hands when he came in and rosato was let go; since his role was such an insider role, he is the main suspect for the yapping to the italian press; vasseur's arrival tackled the binotto clan and started to dismantle it; bonus joke about rosato moving to AM.
laurent mekies: he was being prepped to become binotto's successor with his career evolution; vasseur reworked his role inside Ferrari after the restructuring that happened last year; the two studied in the same uni; he had several proposals (f1, fia, alpine/hyvia) in december but vasseur vetoed his exit; vasseur is inquired (probably by the board of directors) on how and why he's taking these choices of breaking up the binotto clan;
david sanchez: sanchez wouldn't have been let go easily with only vasseur's demand, means elkann authorised the move and is behind fred; thus, when vasseur says he has a lot of freedom, he probably means it; it's a matter of recreating the team culture; sanchez's move possibly opens a precedent for later moves: enrico cardille (head of chassis area) is close to his end of contract, yet to see if he is going to be retained as well since he is part of the binotto clan and he was part of the sf23 design team; sanchez fired after discussion w/ charles at training is at the very least interesting (they lowkey imply it was the final nail in the coffin); discussion as to whether Ferrari considers this year finished and must be sacrificed to develop 2024 or not - usually upgrades are anticipated in february according to what engineers might feel the car will require in the upcoming races, but we're yet to see if with the 2023 car will be affected by role changes.
drivers: discussion on their approach to charles and how he felt he could have done more in jeddah if he was ahead of carlos; charles would have indeed inquired elkann on future plans for the team and the structure of Ferrari; they cite that his contract will end in 2024 and lots of teams might try to seduce him for 2025; sainz in an awkward role as no2 but not quite openly, also could rethink his future.
the most interesting thing is the link to gino rosato as the possible leaker (he truly is one of kimi's closest friends, and was in Ferrari for nearly 30 years if you add his two stints up, but then again we never expected stepney to do spygate innit). i saw a few other outlets also name jonathan giacobazzi (executive race manager, whatever the fuck that means) as another possible whistleblower (he was let go together with gino) but i heard of no such thing in this podcast, at least. we'll stay tuned. forza Ferrari!

Question: Why didn't the company fire that evil female snake director earlier? Cant believe it took the company this long to fire her.
I was looking at her work history profile at the site.
If this wasnt company red flag:
She started as a specialist one year, then promoted year after year. Till the director. But each director position held for prior companies the duration was only 8 months to a year. Why is that? There is a reason why the director has held this position for more than 5 years. So she lasted with this company for 1 year few months minus the FMLA leave of absence which in her case taking SHAMELESS SELFIES ONLINE, POSTING QUOTES THIS COMEBACK IS PERSONAL. COMEBACK IS THAT YOUR FIREDD BITCH!!!
HOW MANY PEOPLE I SPOKE TO SO THRILLED ABOUT IT?
REAL TIME REPONSES:
ITS ABOUT FUCKING TIME
KARMA IS A BITCH ISNT IT
YOU GET WHAT YOU DERSERVE
A JUMP FOR YES, AS A TOUCHDOWN ON A FOOTBALL OR BASKETBALL TEAM
BITCH IS FINALLY GONE
CANT WAIT TILL HER BEST FRIEND SUPERVISOR IS FIRED AND TERMINATED
WAS SHE INVESTIGATED? HOPE THEY FOUND ALOT SHADY SHIT SHE WAS DOING BEHIND PEOPLE BACK. THE POWER/TITLE OF ABUSE OF HER DIRECTOR ROLE
MY THING ..WHEN SHE WAS ON LEAVE ON ABSENCE, NEXT STEP IN TITLE WILL HAVE ACCESS TO ALL YOUR EMAILS AND PRESIDENTS WILL HAVE MORE ACCESS TO MORE THINGS. DID THEY FIND SHADY DOCUMENTATION SHE WAS DOING GETTING PEOPLE FIRED, GETTING PEOPLE TO QUIT? DID THE COMPANY FIND THAT SHE WAS HELPING HER BITTER FRIENDS TO GET PEOPLE THEY DIDNT LIKE CANT STAND (IM ONE OF THEM) FIRED OR MAKE THEM RESIGN?
BAD APPLES DO EXIST ON THIS EARTH. WHETHER YOU HAVE NOT ENGAGED IN IT OR BEEN ENVIRONMENT OR YOUR STUCK INSIDE YOUR BOX OF COMFORT TO KNOW THIS. WELL IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE LIFE, THIS IS WHAT REAL LIFE IS. A BUNCH OF BITCHES WHO GET PROMOTED ABUSES THIER POWER TITLE TO FEAR EMPLOYEES, MANAGERS(MANAGERS FAMILIES AND THIER KIDS), SOME GOOD SUPERVISORS NOT ALL TO TERMINATE OR FORCE ABSOLUTE MISERY TO ONES THEY DONT LIKE. THEY WILL TWIST SHIT IN AN EMAIL AS IF YOU SAID IT, AND HEY I TOLD YOU THREE TIMES. THREE TIMES IS CONSIDERED A 3 TIME REPLY IN 3 HOURS. SHE WOULD TRY WRITE YOU UP FOR INSUBORDIANCE OF DEFYING THE LEADER AND HER EVIL SUPERVISOR, WITH THE SUPERVISOR FAMILY FRIENDS, AND RECRUITING ON BOARD DIRECTORS FRIENDS WHO ARE ON HER FACEBOOK, THATS HOW I KNOW. THE PORTAL OF SOCIAL MEDIA GET YOU ANSWERS.
IT TOOK THE COMPANY SO LONG BECAUSE I BET THE REVENUE PROFIT WAS NOT BEING RECIEVED TO THE INVESTORS, THEN WENT DIRECTLY IN PRESIDENTS EAR, LIKE HEY WHERE THE MONEY. TALKING PERSON WHO JUST QUIT THE COMPANY BECAUSE EVIL DIRECTOR AND HER SUPERVISOR FRIEND ASKING THEM TO CLEAN UP 1 MILLION DOLLARS WORTH OF SHIT THAT WAS DONE INCORRECTLY BY DIRECTOR EMPLOYEES FRIENDS WHO THEY PROTECT, S, S J. HOW THESE OLD WOMEN FUCKER EMPLOYEES GET AWAY WITH SHIT LIKE THIS WITH THE DIRECTOR AND SUPERVISOR? WHY COULDNT COMPANY REALIZE INVESTMENT THEY ARE MAKING ON HIRING TERRIBLE EMPLOYEES WHO JUST WANT A PAYCHECK TO SURVIVE? YOUR NOT THERE TO HELP THE BUSINESS, OTHERWISE PEOPLE ON OTHER TEAMS WOULDNT HAVE DO THE DOUBLE WORK AND DOUBLE SHIT TO CLEAN UP YOUR WORK. SO THE COMPANY NEEDS START FIRING SUPERVISOR AND THOSE EMPLOYEES, START MAKING CHANGE NOW!!! OTHERWISE THAT COMPANY WILL RESULT IN LAYOFF'S AND DESTRUCTION. BUT AS FOR ME, STAYING SILENT WHILE THINGS UNFOLD.
MY THINKING OUT LOUD THOUGHTS ARE HERE TO SHARE FOR LIVE HUMAN SHIT GOING ON IN THIS WORLD OF ENCOUNTER BAD HIRED PEOPLE WHO GET AWAY WITH SHIT? HOW DO FAKE ASS NICE KINDESS ON THE OUTSIDE OF HUMAN SKIN AND ON INSIDE EVIL ENOUGH GET AWAY AND SWEEP THAT SHIT UNDER THE RUG? THE COMPANY IS STILL PROVIDING YOU A PAYCHECK. SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — Special prosecutors are seeking to recharge actor Alec Baldwin in the fatal shooting of a cinematographer on the set of a Western movie in 2021, describing Tuesday their preparations to present new information to a grand jury.
New Mexico-based prosecutors Kari Morrissey and Jason Lewis said they’ll present their case to the grand jury within the next two months, noting “additional facts” have come to light in the shooting on the set of the film “Rust” that killed Halyna Hutchins.
Baldwin, a coproducer of the film, was pointing a gun at Hutchins during a rehearsal inside a rustic chapel on a movie-set ranch near Santa Fe when the gun went off on Oct. 21, 2021, killing the cinematographer and wounding director Joel Souza.
“After extensive investigation over the past several months, additional facts have come to light that we believe show Mr. Baldwin has criminal culpability in the death of Halyna Hutchins and the shooting of Joel Souza,” Morrissey and Lewis said in an email. “We believe the appropriate course of action is to permit a panel of New Mexico citizens to determine from here whether Mr. Baldwin should be held over for criminal trial.”
They declined to elaborate on the additional information they may present to the grand jury.
Baldwin has said he pulled back the hammer — but not the trigger — and the gun fired.
Attorneys for Baldwin said the latest move by prosecutors is misguided.
“It is unfortunate that a terrible tragedy has been turned into this misguided prosecution. We will answer any charges in court,” Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro said in an email.
Special prosecutors initially dismissed an involuntary manslaughter charge against Baldwin in April, saying they were informed the gun might have been modified before the shooting and malfunctioned. They later pivoted and began weighing whether to refile a charge against Baldwin after receiving a new analysis of the gun.
The recent gun analysis from experts in ballistics and forensic testing based in Arizona and New Mexico relied on replacement parts to reassemble the gun fired by Baldwin — after parts of the pistol were broken during earlier testing by the FBI. The report examined the gun and markings it left on a spent cartridge to conclude that the trigger had to have been pulled or depressed.
The analysis led by Lucien Haag of Forensic Science Services in Arizona stated that although Baldwin repeatedly denies pulling the trigger, “given the tests, findings and observations reported here, the trigger had to be pulled or depressed sufficiently to release the fully cocked or retracted hammer of the evidence revolver.”
An earlier FBI report on the agency’s analysis of the gun found that, as is common with firearms of that design, it could go off without pulling the trigger if force was applied to an uncocked hammer — such as by dropping the weapon.
The only way the testers could get it to fire was by striking the gun with a mallet while the hammer was down and resting on the cartridge, or by pulling the trigger while it was fully cocked. The gun eventually broke during testing.
Authorities have not specified exactly how live ammunition found its way on set and into the .45-caliber revolver made by an Italian company that specializes in 19th century reproductions.
The weapons supervisor on the movie set, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter and evidence tampering in the case. Her trial is scheduled to begin in February.
In March, “Rust” assistant director and safety coordinator David Halls pleaded no contest to unsafe handling of a firearm and received a suspended sentence of six months of probation. He agreed to cooperate in the investigation of the shooting.
In the revived case against Baldwin, first reported by NBC News, a grand jury would “determine whether probable cause exists to bind Baldwin over on criminal charges,” special prosecutors said.
Neama Rahmani, a former federal prosecutor who provides legal commentary as head of West Coast Trial Lawyers in Los Angeles, said prosecutors reserved the right to reopen the case by dismissing charges “without prejudice,” and that he’d be surprised if a grand jury didn’t return an indictment.
Unlike a jury trial in which guilt must be proved “beyond a reasonable doubt,” the standard on possible charges before a grand jury is a lower “probable cause” finding, Rahmani said.
“It’s just a one-sided presentation by prosecutors,” he said.
The 2021 shooting resulted in a series of civil lawsuits centered on accusations that the defendants were lax with safety standards. The cases have included wrongful death claims filed by members of Hutchins’ family. Baldwin and other defendants have disputed the accusations that they were lax with safety standards.
The company Rust Movie Productions has paid a $100,000 fine to state workplace safety regulators following a scathing narrative of safety failures in violation of standard industry protocols, including testimony that production managers took limited or no action to address two misfires on set before the fatal shooting.
The filming of “Rust” resumed this year in Montana, under an agreement with the cinematographer’s widower, Matthew Hutchins, that made him an executive producer.

Watched a review of Smile (2022) and was thrown into the most violent rage. The review, 35 minutes in, while playing a cool shot of the monster: "…Believe it or not, this thing is 100% practical!"
From a Polygon interview with the writer and director Parker Finn:
“I grew up on practical effects,” he says. “It’s one of the reasons I wanted to become a filmmaker. I think that when something is practical, it just has more gravity to it. It has real weight and physics, and an actor can actually interact with it on set. It makes a big difference. Of course you can use VFX as a tool to help bring certain things to life, but the practical nature makes it real. And not only while you’re physically doing it in production, but I think for the audience as well. Unless you have a giant Marvel budget, I think people can always sniff out CGI. But hopefully instead, when they get to that moment in Smile, they’ll be asking themselves, What in the hell am I even looking at here? How is this possible?” The physical creature was a 9-foot-tall monstrosity that required a performer inside it and puppeteers to operate the gangly limbs, Finn says.
Now, from an interview by postPerspective with the visual effects studio The-Artery (founder Vico Sharabani and VFX supervisor Yuval Levy), which is not mentioned in the Polygon interview in any way:
"The most difficult part is near the climax, when the monster of Rose’s mom catches on fire. We did shoot a reference of a stunt double doing the same movements, but it required extensive match-moving and difficult simulation to make sure that the monster moved correctly and the flmes felt natural. Not only that, but Parker and I wanted to feel the monster burning so the monster changes throughout the sequence, slowly burning each layer of her skin until the scene ends. In this scene, we also had a smashed lantern on fire. To make this happen, Rose reached for a practical lantern on-set, so we had to recreate Rose’s hand and the lantern (including the cracked glass) and then simulate fire on top of that. This allowed us to have fire naturally reacting with Rose’s hand and with the lantern. Another difficult shot in this scene was the monster face rip, when Rose’s mom’s giant demon rips off her own face to reveal a grotesque, monstrous face underneath. The prosthetics team built an incredible practical. VFX then had to blend the different shots so the actor’s face would perfectly transition to the monster prosthetic. We then recreated the prosthetic in CGI and brought it to life, with skin peeling away and enhancements to the eyes. It was extremely satisfying to see all the parts come together on the big screen."
100% practical creature? Even the fucking lantern wasn't!!!
Here's a breakdown of the "100% practical" VFX on The-Artery's website.
everyone say "sorry VFX artists" aloud right now (or whenever you aren't around other people i guess) or block me ahshsghsbsfv and if your favorite movie is 100% practical, no it isn't, and go look up the credits and write down the name of every VFX artist that helped bring it to life asjdhdghdhhsd

I Expect You To Die (ieytd)
Headcannons for the 1st Game
I've been obsessed with this series for years and my obsession has finally boiled over! These are just my headcannons for the 1st game, at a later point I will probably make a separate post concerning the other 2 games. Here we go!
So lets start with the agent, as their personality sort of drives their relationships with others. This agent has a bit of a chip on their shoulders. Absolutely was a troubled teen and not much better as an adult. A bit of an alcoholic, smoker, and arsonist, they were really just 1 decision away from being a Zoraxis Agent, but the agency had better benefits, plus they wanted to prove something to themselves.
The agent, for me, is the one that chooses more of the meaner/ speedrunner options. For example, instead of pretending to wash the windows, as soon as they are alerted to the enemy agent, they fire on site.
The agent is a talented spy and combatant, but their lack of cooperation and destructive tendencies has had them bunt heads with their past handlers. As such, they have gone through many handlers. The agent was probably about to quit/ be fired if they hadn't met Reggie.
Seeing that Reginald has been with the agency for years and has some connections with the higher up, like the director, him becoming the agent's handler was probably more of a re-training exercise. Essentially more about teaching the agent about the importance of working with their handlers and blah blah.
The agent is simply content to ignore him at 1st, treat him as white noise. But unlike his last like 10 or so handlers, Reginald doesn't really try to command them like a video character. Sure, he comments on their destructive actions ("Your tendency to light things ablaze, agent, concerns me.") but doesn't demand they clean up their mess it or even tell them to stop. He also actually mentions stuff that the agent deems important, like enemy agents ("Enemy agent spotted 2 'o clock, Agent! I suggest you take immediate action before he closes in!") As smug as the handler can be sometimes, he's pretty easy-going as a supervisor.
As for Reginald's thoughts on the agent, well, he can kinda understand why they might b a bit difficult to work with. The agent does like to cause trouble and unneeded destruction, but it has never intervered with the mission (well, not like in any meaningful way). He also notices that the agent is the most adapt to using their telekinesis chip. So thw issue doesnt come from a lack of skill. After interviewing some of the agent's old handlers, Reggie brings it up to the director that they may need to actually retrain the handlers instead. Some of them seem to not understand their proper role. That it's to b an assistant, not a commander.
Reginald also starts looking into the cases the agent has been working on and sees that these missions shouldn't b done solo. The fact that the agent was able to complete them greatly impresses him. Feeling a sense of responsibility now, as the agent hadn't really been with a great handler and had been forced to take on missions they shouldnt have, he decides to become the agent's permanent handler for now.
The two soon find themselves getting along really well, especially when the agent learns that Reginald knows sign language (yes I go by the agent is mute theory) and start even joking around with each other. Reginald proves to be a good influence to them too as the agent gives up smoking (drinking and burning not so much, but in better moderation). Reginald does get asked every once in while when he will stop being the agent's handler (as like I said earlier he probably has a higher admin duty and is really only suppose to be a handler for agents every once in awhile and not that very long either) but never really confirms a date and no one else is really excited to take on the pyro, so it continues like this.
Until Operation: Death Engine happens. Reginald is honestly surprised and pissed that the agency is sending them on this mission with no backup and deep into enemy territory. The agent is honestly touched as no one had ever really gotten mad for their sake. (Not that they'd ever admit it) but promises that they'd make it back easily.
Reginald is devastated when he hears about the explosion and subsequent crash of the space station. While recon takes place, Reginald becomes withdrawn, talking little and putting off work. Blaming himself for not doing enough and even at times admonishing himself for caring too deeply; for forgetting the number 1 rule: "Don't get Attached"
When the agent does return, relatively unharmed, Reginald just sends a congratulatory email and puts in the paperwork to move the agent to a different handler. Reginald, for a time, refuses any handler work, instead burying himself in admin duties. Though a couple weeks later, he is brought into a meeting where the higher-ups beg him to talk to the agent. The agency wants to use them for a plan, but the agent, like always, is uncooperative.
Reginald relents but says he'll just meet with them once. It's awkward when they meet up again. The agent is clearly tense, but overall, they are obediently listening to Reginald. It's only when Reginald is about to leave that the agent demands to know what is his problem. Why did he pretty much abandon them? Was it something they did?
Seeing his child the agent so upset. They both end up hashing it out and making up for now. Though there are some unresolved issues that may or not get mentioned.
I spent way to much time with this and it's late. Hope u guys enjoyed it!
