haiiii dungeon delvers! This is a quick one, gratefully both the materials and the dish-type are very close to their real life inspiration :D

As we speak, my favorite catgirl bestfolk is getting introduced to the anime and you haven no idea how much self control its taken to not immediately jump forward to be in sync with her, but theres SO many good recipes before we get there!!!

We will be making a Mandrake and Basilisk Omelet today!

(As always you can find the cooking instructions and full ingredient list under the break-)

SO, “what goes into a Mandrake and Basilisk Omelet?” YOU MIGHT ASKIts made from the egg of a basilisk, which isnt a large chicken egg but instead a large snake egg. Oblong shape, soft leather texture, and no eggwhites just yolk.

A large daikon

½ lbs fatty bacon

Shallots

Garlic

Chicken eggs

Salt

Pepper

Arugula (for garnishing)

OPTIONAL; ketchup/hot sauce :)

You could try cooking this using actual snake eggs, but theyre hard to come by and reportedly quite bland compared to chicken eggs. I tried getting my hands on an ostrich egg for the pizzaz of it all. The zoo lady was kind in her dismissal.

AND, “what does a Mandrake and Basilisk Omelet taste like?” YOU MIGHT ASKOmelettes are standard fair but here we cook them like a french omelette and wrap it up like a burrito at the end.

Wetter eggs than im used to ( <- american)

Daikon and bacon r very tasty together

They end up having the same texture almost

Intensely savory. Heavy on the tummy

Chopped green onions would bring more levity to the filling

Ketchup pairs well

(but i prefer medium hot sauce)

Dark coffee pairs well

The acidity of the above 3 is what makes them work with this nutrient Dense dish

. In the show, decapitated mandrakes are more bitter than mandrakes left 'whole'. If you want that difference, using sweet/sour sauce on some of the daikon while it cooks will make the non-sauced daikon seem bitter by comparison. . Maybe ferment daikon too? . Adding a small amount of water with the bacon transfers the heat evenly, a small amount as to cook off before the fat/grease renders. Could also try cooking in the oven.

"Consisting of a fluffy Basilisk egg omelet filled with minced Basilisk bacon and mandrake.If the mandrake used was killed with its 'head' still attached, it will be less bitter and more mellow" This dish is important as it marks the beginning of Senshi and Marcilles bonding, and the lead-up gives us our first glance into the school Falin and Marcille met at. Objectively the recipe is basic but it was challenging to write out.

Omelette making is muscle-memory, so having to learn the french variation and slow down felt like trying to ride a bike side-saddled.

It took about an hour and a half from laying out the ingredients, to eating the finished thing. I had to take a break in the middle of cutting veggies as my wrists are flaring up, so you could probably go faster unimpeded.

What would you rate this recipe out of 10?(with 1 being food that makes one physically sick and 10 being food that gives one a lust for life again.) Did you love it, did you hate it? What're your thoughts on what I could do different, and what would you have done instead?

🐁 ORIGINAL RESIPPY TEXT BELOW 🐁

Ingredients:

1 large daikon, chopped

½ lbs fatty bacon, chopped

2 shallots

3 cloves of garlic

3 Eggs

Salt

Pepper

Some arugula (for garnishing)

OPTIONAL; ketchup/hot sauce :)

Method:

Chop your bacon into roughly ½ inch squares. Cut off the ends of your daikon and cube the rest. Thinly dice your shallots and crush your garlic cloves.

Bring a cast iron skillet to medium-high heat. Once at temp, carefully add your chopped bacon to the pan with a very small amount of water.

Add your chopped bacon and stir-fry until almost cooked.

Add your shallots and garlic. Cook for about a minute or until the shallots have softened.

Transfer the bacon, shallot, and garlic mix to a bowl. Set aside. Lower the cast iron skillet to medium heat.

Place your daikon cubes in the cast iron skillet, you should still have enough bacon grease. Add salt and cook until lightly browned on each side.

Add roughly 1 tablespoon of water. Lower heat and cover. Simmer for 2 minutes.

Once your daikon are softened, transfer to same bowl containing your bacon, shallots, and garlic.

Crack your eggs into a seperate bowl and whisk for 2 minutes until 'frothy' with no egg whites visible.

Bring the cast iron skillet back up to medium heat. There might not be enough bacon grease left, so feel free to add butter! If the butter browns you've gone too hot.

Pour your eggs into the skillet. Use a spatula to spread the eggs, scraping down the sides of the pan. Sprinkle salt and pepper in, to taste.

Once your eggs are mostly solid, pour the bacon, shallot, garlic, and daikon filling into the center. If it starts to separate- stop touching and let it rest. Gently fold the edges of the omelette overtop the filling.

Lay a few pieces of arugula on a plate, and flip your omelette onto it :) enjoy!

you owned a small candy store down the block. It wasn't much, but it was enough to pay for rent and good food. You always had a sweet tooth, ever since you were young so growing up and starting this business was healing your inner child.

you were fixing the fake flowers on the display by the windows, fake because flowers are too expensive and die easily. a bell rings, alarming you that someone entered the door.

"good day!" you said with a smile, as always.

"hi, just looking around" a tall man said, quite intimidating with the poker face plastered on his face, a buff man too, wearing sweatpants and a gray hoodie with his hands on his pockets. you almost thought this man was a thief, but nonetheless there was still that heartwarming smile on your face, like the sweet girl you are.

"your total is only 8 dollars" i said as he gives me a 10 dollar bill, i open the cash register and pick out his change until he stops me

i have finished death mark 2...... thoughts.....

general thoughts is the overall story was.... BAD. LOL.

I'll start with the good. The interactions between Yashiki and alot of the returning cast i really liked, the writing especially in the first few chapters. An example being alot of Yashiki and Daimon's chatter, especially the whole weight of saving lives things that comes back at the end, alot of it was quite sweet and heartwarming similarly between him and other mark bearer characters.

I liked the choice of Hiroo and Mashita being the two that come in when he's at his lowest, their curtness and refusal to take his attitude was really refreshing, felt really like what he needed at the time lol. In that same vein i enjoyed his characterization alot in the early-mid game, and how it develops. He's such a sensitive guy lollll and it comes through well with how much he cares but near the latter chapters it kind of.... sours.

Though there were a few new characters i liked his interactions with, Abe and Maruhashi specifically i found endearing of the new cast, Alot of them just Die. Or theyre Hime and Michiho AKA the bane of my fucking existence with this game.

They are the two pushed front and center and it is truly its worst aspect, as characters they're shallow personality wise and though you could say that about others in the cast, them being in love with Yashiki on top of it makes it so much worse.

They barely have any scenes where they actually properly interact and feel like they bond at all but for some reason im expected to believe they're suddenly in love with him?? -and in the end they were also dead the whole time, and not even themselves. So it wasn't even real, and somehow any of this is meant to hold any weight to the audience...?? explaining it as the ghosts being desperate for him instead doesnt really make it.. any more compelling (lol the scene at the end where hes like maybe they just wanted those beautiful normal school days they spent by me.... when did that happen yashiki)

I understand Yashiki is probably saddened by the deaths of two young girls but they're treated with so much more weight and gravitas than anyone else in the cast and its so unearned, especially when alot of the other ghosts are somehow way more compelling in that aspect.

He also becomes borderline ooc around them like in what world am i expected to believe he emotionally dumps his burdens on the two highschool girls he barely knows because of how sad he is when hes got like how many other people he knows FROM THE OTHER GAMES he could do that with...????? (AND BASICALLY DOES... ALREADY...?) and it lifts his heart like truly wtf was i reading. HE WOULD NOT FUCKING SAY THAT.JPG

Chapter six is really where it falls off the cliff with this, after hanging out with Hiroo, Mashita and Yasuoka and solving that case they just dissapear from the narrative for a day so he can......... hang out with michiho...?? i couldn't even enjoy murder yashiki in this game because of how ludicrous it felt that the rest of yashiki's companions just dissapeared to make it happen, and no one calls or anything lmfao. I cant imagine how much more compelled i would have felt if he was dealing with that situation with any of the other three around instead of HIME. LIKE I AM ACTUALLY SO INCENSED ABOUT THIS SCENARIO BEING RUINED SO HARD WHEN IT COULD BE SO GOOD BUT I DIGRESS (RIPPING MY HAIR OUT) (CRYING BC I LOVE BLOOD AND HORROR)

Even the first two games weren't as bad as writing women as this!? EVEN IF I HAD TO SEE MASSIVE TITS ON SCREEN THEY WEREN'T TRYING TO JUMP ON YASHIKI AS WELL AS A CENTRAL PLOT POINT (lol kakuya) congrats exp you have outdone yourself with the misogyny.

To continue on the topic of new characters, it feels like so many of them were given so little screen time to make you actually care about them. For how prominent Abe is he barely actually does anything, and Maruhashi instantly dissapears when shes no longer a red herring. On top of this game basically killing off any other character that appears, its hard to get invested in them as characters at all.

You have no opportunities to actually effect their fate as you do in the other two games, so there's even less attempt to immerse you there. Horikoshi comes the closest behind the other two but its because her case with Hanako was easily the strongest and most resonant of the game (lgbt win). Its not even like this is the first time Yashiki saves the lives of kids and bonds with them after, especially with the caveat of being a teacher, like how did you fuck this premise up so bad.

They either needed to commit to more scenes and writing in general to attach you to the new characters or just not have any returning ones show up so prominently if they're not also going to further interact with them.

The overall mystery suffers for it, and while i like the twist of the doll being helpful in this game actually, it is so easy to guess michiho and hime are the departed, and i already didn't even like them so it doesn't hit at all emotionally. Like, i was not feeling very betrayed or anything lol.

Further critiques -> though running around is very fun, the horror in this game really didn't at all compare to the others with the loss of that first person perspective for alot of the exploration, sad.

I also feel like we got more horny shit than we did in NG which is also like lol one step forwards two steps back. Even the gore wasn't as good............... kind of mid in every regard there. I did like the mushroom and scissor stuff, but the bugs and mold ended up just kind of ..... eh...

Mary continues to be the best antag in these games, she slayed and she continues to keep slaying. The sisters were really kind of a letdown in the end, especially since i think i could have enjoyed it if they pulled them off better.

As for my yaoi cocaine score though thats a 10/10 they made yashiki and mashita meow and hiss like cats in this game for some reason, i genuinely think that shattered my mind a little.

I also can't believe they gave us these two panting in unison asmr as well so you could make your own [REDACTED] if you wanted. The departed getting jealous mashita was standing next to him in that one confrontation too like she's calling him a homewrecker..... lol...... also the part where mashita jokes abt him keeping the gun and if you make yashiki go 'then i will 😇' and him immediately backpedaling like okay i was kidding. give it back. very moe very powerful.

I feel like the entire time mashita was on screen he was basically acting as yashiki's brain to keep him from getting too lost in his emotional attachments, truly everyone needs a bitch wife to keep them sane.

TL:DR this game could be so good (average) if it wasn't so fucking badDDDDDDDDDDDD easily the worst entry in this series...... dont buy it unless its on sale for 4 bucks (this applies to every game) or just watch in on youtube lol.

i could see nina being a really touchy person, constantly hooking arms with people and hugging them and playing with peoples fingers and stuff. it would take toby and nat forever to get used to it bc its admittedly kinda weird and invades personal space but she's so genuine with it and sweet and like :D theyre like OKAY FINE . so they'd just be walking around doing whatever and nina would pop up grabbing them like 'what r u doing in my kitchen :) the movies still playing :) youre missing the climax :) theres food out there :) youre making me mad :)'. or sitting watching a movie n she dozes off on their shoulder. etc.

nina would be swapping movies between things like 'to all the boys ive ever loved' to like... saw. oddly enough nat and toby are more likely to sit still and watch the romcoms just cuz they get invested in the plot ... LMFAO

i cant see nina actually getting them to play any sleepover games, BUT she'd hook up a switch. she'd try to play smth like overcooked with them but they rage too fucking hard and she has to swap to like. a mario game.

ok maybe she could get them to play like 2 rounds of truth or dare or never have i ever.

nat would like sour and hard candy... toby would like chocolate candy and baked stuff.... so nina would get the candy together and make them all bake some brownies.

she'd also make them make normal sugar cookies and try to decorate them but toby would make the ugliest fucking cookie possible and give up and let the girls decorate.

realistically nat and nina would end up on the air mattress and toby on the couch, BUT if they were stuck with just a bed, toby would take the floor. he'd offer cuz he's not about to share a bed with either of them.. but he'd prob wake up with nina on the floor too cuz nat KICKS in her sleep. nina curls up like a cat

nina falls asleep first. toby falls asleep last.

nina would try to convince them to let her do their makeup but toby would get irritated that she'd even ask. .

she'd defintely make them do skincare with her though .. nina uses snail mucin and the other two think she's weird.

the next morning ninas awake first and making pancakes. she walks away to go to the bathroom and gets distracted by washing her face and doing her hair and stuff and burns them so bad it wakes toby up... he comes in and turns off the stove and just waits for her to come back to call her dumb.

nat wakes up last and is so disorientated for like 30 mins after waking up... she just eats the food like a zombie until nina makes her wash her face again and shes up properly.

she'd try to get them to stay as long as possible, but theyre exhausted and as sweet as nina is, she's a bit much . . so they go home LOL. but nina would send them the cutest little "thank u for coming over i had fun i love u guys :3" text the next day and theyll feel kinda bad for leaving.

nina is just such a genuinely nice girl .... she just wants to live the teenage dream well into her 20s because she was um. Um. she behaved in a way. that um. highschool was not the most pleasant. and threw many of her teen years away for Um. a man. of sorts.

personal take on urchoux (more like analysis)

first of all, the damn game wont let me do any quests even though it's clearly stated that you're supposed to able find them daily on the bulletin bord

and secondly, this is written in the first part of the update and theres no dynamic that we can really discuss other than we have a bad boy x good girl theme (but yuri) going on for them

in cookie run, the devs tend to stick to cookies that have similar theming in some way (if theyre releasing spicy cookies, then they arent going to have sweet-themed cookies to go alongside in the update)

*before you say "what about the tri-cone cookies", that update was literally on purpose to highlight different academy students

but overall, the team tends to always prefer having a pair of cookies that have some sort of common ground even if they have opposite personalities (ex: currant cream and pastel meringue are clearly two opposite aesthetics, but their middle ground is in fashion designing)

anyways, let's talk about the new cookies in kingdom; theyre clearly designed to fit the 'good girl x bad boy' theme, "he was a punk, she did ballet" theme, the 'prep x delinquent' theme (you get the point)

but then you see their namesake foods

normally you'd expect more of 'sour vs sweet' or 'bitter x sweet' foods to compliment the theme of their relationship, but we got

seafood x sweet

it seems like such an odd combination, but we're gonna make it a more deeper than this

first off, the ingredient/food theme street urchin and caramel choux have is actually based off high class delicacies

while caramel choux could just be a caramel dipped cream puff, she could have been inspired by croquembouche

on the other end, despite street urchin's reputation as biker, the actual sea urchin is a gourmet dish that can only be found in high-end sushi restaurants (but it has become popular in europe as well because they like fancy food)

in a nutshell, street urchin and caramel choux are both meant to be inspired by these high class foods (and that checks out??) rather than it sounding like 'what if a seafood and pastry kissed' (okay that sounded funnier than it should be)

namely because like. why is respecting bellanda so important?

because shes miranda's sister. and even more than that, she has been, for all of miranda's life, both her only friend and her caretaker. bellanda is one of those people that miranda trusts with literally EVERYTHING, and is wholly incapable of thinking bellanda can ever hurt her, let alone hurting bellanda in turn. bellanda's opinion is final to miranda, she is what matters above everyone else, and either her potential paramours accept that theyre always going to be playing second fiddle to bellanda or they leave miranda's life. so much of what miranda does is dependent on bellanda and she is basically everything miranda has.

which is important context, because the reason why not just any single person can mark off themselves as respecting bellanda, is because bellanda is going to be mean as hell to them. bellanda doesn't trust landfolk, very seldom trusts other merfolk, and is highly suspicious of ANYONE who tries to get too close to miranda. for very good reasons, sure, but also this means she is going to try to drive them away as much as she can without upsetting miranda. and like, miranda knows bellanda is doing this. she knows she will insult, berate, and even try to physically hurt people who bellanda perceives as a threat, and miranda knows why bellanda does this, and thus she will give bellanda a very loose leash. again, miranda takes bellanda's side in everything that matters, and her loyalty to her comes first before everyone else.

as you can imagine, this is not an ideal situation to be sandwiched between. you cant even really DO anything, because trying to do anything against bellanda immediately sours miranda's opinion of someone, and bellanda is never really going to do something she knows would be over the line for miranda. the only option is winning bellanda's favor, and thats a tall order when she already mistrusts and suspects them for a full list of potential manipulations and careless blunders that bellanda won't be sharing with them. shes tough, shes strict, and shes very set into what she knows to be true and whats allowed her and miranda to survive this long.

hell, it's why aaravi is one of the very VERY few people to do well with bellanda, because shes already used to people hating her and suspecting her. already knowing that out of the gate and knowing bellanda's type (from her own experiences with gruff older slayers), getting the reassurance from miranda that she actually is good and sweet and funny was enough for her.

but you see the problem still. you see why this is such a dealbreaker for so many muses. you see why its specifically phrased as RESPECTING bellanda, because if you dont fully understand why she has to do all of this and be this way, then you arent going to make it.

i had an idea of soul&maka suddenly visiting the town where kid lives to... fight with ehh... something evil yk... and they just. meet kid there. and basically soul just punches him in the face. cuz bro what the actual fuck. and im not sayin that he deserved it but. in some way yea. he deserved it. and then they will try their best to become friends again and learn to forgive each other (okay soul is the one whos learning to forgive someone here. kid only suffers from guilt that he hid deep inside of his soul many years ago)

this au is shitty written but its not like i care i just like it there is something rly sweet and nostalgic about it. like kid knowing names of everyone in the town and them all liking him for his intelligent calm perconality and him selling sour candies to children (they all do love him very much cuz hes always fun to talk to and to discuss very important topics like that school sucks and so on). he is freaking immortal so i think he deserves these 30+ years of such form of therapy.

nora spends all of October crafting their costumes by running around the various thrift stores in London

Matty begrudgingly agrees to go along with her idea at first, but after some convincing and being told he’d be rewarded he lets her dress the two of them up

she paints his face green and does his makeup, he does the white streak in her hair

the two of them taking the other’s costume very seriously and trying their best to make the other look as good as possible

nora also decides on making graveyard brownies for the party and throws bits of candy bars upright in the pan of delectable chocolate batter

they end up each getting a bit wine drunk at the party and being complimented left and right over how cute their outfits are and how well-suited the are for each other

nora beams and giggles all night while matty makes terribly corny jokes over the blood-red punch bowl

the two end the evening by heading home and splitting a spliff still dressed in their elaborate outfits

quite high later that evening, while wrapped in bed sheets and bare-face matty recites some bits of the novel - they had started it on October 1st in preparation… matty claiming he had to go “method” for his costume

matty is up visiting rooney from London after working on the boy’s 6th album

the two spend the holiday by watching some films in the afternoon (alternating between scary and cozy - “a palette cleanser” Rooney states as she turns on Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, Matty picks The Blair Witch Project to follow it)

they fall asleep together halfway through Casper and awake to a knock echoing through the house coming through the front door

Luckily, Rooney had gone out and got assorted candies for trick or treating, making sure to grab some of Matty’s favorites - maltesers, sour spiders, mixed bags of haribo gummies and mini toblerones

Matty also decides that they should get dressed up if theyre gonna be handing out candy so he ran out that afternoon and grabbed two skeleton onesies and he watches some youtube videos about how to do skeleton facepaint

the pair quickly throw on their outfits and apply some of the makeup according to Matty’s instruction and greet the adorable boy dressed as a sheet ghost and girl dressed as a kitten at their front door

Rooney hands their parents over some cups of mulled wine and pop candy in the bags and wish them a happy halloween

the next group is two older girls dressed as “hot vampires”, Matty compliments their fangs and gives them wine and candy… Rooney spots the two girls kissing, holding hands and laughing as they make their way from the house and down the street and practically melts at how cute they are

Rooney and Matty finish passing out their treats to each group that knocks on their door and they tiredly collapse back onto their couch after wiping the makeup off… Rooney falls asleep quickly, but not before she can hear her favorite voice whisper a “Happy Halloween, Ro… I love you”

Matty dresses up as Woody from Toy Story since he had most of the supplies for it in his own closet and didn't want to spend much time or money finding materials

She finds the cow-hide chaps and the red cowboy hat at the local Ralph Lauren store and she already owned a crisp white button down and some denim cut-offs

Throwing the outfit on and having Mona braid her hair into pig-tails, she prepares for surprising Matty at the bar

Mona drops her fellow texan off at the bar and wishes her a happy halloween as her mercedes peels away

Leaving her in a cloud of dramatic dust, Thea opens the old-timey saloon style door to the bar and saunters in like a pseudo-female John Wayne

Matty’s jaw hits the floor when he sees her roll in, he takes his hat off in shock and places it over his chest out of breath

“Cornflower… you look positively drool worthy, I love the chaps on you!” He quickly compliments and she makes her way over to him. She goes on to order a couple ranch waters and a plate of appetizers as she enjoys the live band and the atmosphere of the busy bar

She watches Matty move gracefully around the bar, quickly serving each customer happily and dancing to the music a bit, she practically becomes liquid as he winks at her at one point while making a sex-on-the-beach

They drive home that night in his Bronco and fall into their comfortable bed… it truly is domestic bliss

i love infinity's prism - Places of Exile id recommend reading it if you are me and you love exploration of "JANEWAY GIVES UP" as a plot. :) one of my faves. its short and sweet, you get a JC (unborn) baby with a name and everything please clap. this book got me to actually like neelix/kes lmao A FEAT. i also get to indulge harry/b'elanna, even if its a little Toxic in this one U____U;;;;; kes and neelix have triplets named after characters who die/are dead in the book lol

ONE mirrorverse story for voyager has chakotay as captain and janeway as engineer, they are lovers, janeway ends up being evil and works for belanna (has some very wlw vibes lol) and hates humans. they (JC) end up killing each other. <3 janeway calls chakotay "chuckles" in it. the idea of engineer mean grouchy janeway is so BIOYIOYIOYIONG AWOOOOGA to me.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner – March 27, 2024

Today wasnt the best eating day for me. Between a few leftover snacks, like chocolate covered almonds, I didnt eat a lot. 😭

Executive dysfunction can cause some brain fog sometimes, and I didnt get enough sleep again cuz my mattress and pillows .... well let's just say theyre tired and expired lol. But I managed to go back to sleep long enough to have enough energy to make a quick breakfast of vegan grilled cheese with Daiya slices, 2 clemintimes, and a few pickle slices. I added pickles to resemble a grilled cheese order at my job lol (we use spears but chips suffice).

After finally gaining a sense of focus and reorganizing my kitchen to the sound of nostalgic breakcore, dubstep, and hyperpop, I almost forgot to eat a late lunch lol. I was pretty consumed in my efforts, esp since its been days since I could muster up focus and energy to get any tasks done. And my goodness am I behind on so much lol!!! But today was good. I even knew that I'd be busy with chores, so I put a cup of white rice on ahead of time and let it stay warm in the rice cooker. I unplugged it eventually to save on the electricity bill (which, last month's was almost $40 cheaper!!!! YEASSS), so it was a lil cool when I tried it. But before I started the rice when I sat down to eat, I finished a chicken siopao bun first. Always good shit!!!

I poured a bit of sweet chili sauce on the rice bed but then had a craving for platains lol. The local Jamaican store I've been frequenting serves them and while there a bit pricey I like to patronize there cuz i try to support local, small business in a town getting eaten up by corpo franchises and receding small business sectors. I drove out to the restaurant, got my fried plantains to go, and headed to my lola's house to pay a visit and also eat what I got there. (As an aside, I have a feeling that I got it that way bc I arrived 30 mins before they closed but they put the plaintains in a small brown bag, which couldnt quite handle all the grease lol. Just thought that was a lil strange but nothing personal or bad! The cashier offered a seperate bag to me to carry it all in and declined bc I was gonna put the plantains in my rice bowl anyway). I ate the plantains with my rice when I got to lola's house and while the commute made the food a bit cold, the sweet chili sauce gave it a bit of spicy heat to make it a good side dish to the soup lola offered me!

She is filipina and loves to cook. When I got there we were watching a movie, but shortly she asked if I wanted any soup she made, which was hot and sour soup. She makes everything homemade and since a kid I enjoyed her food. It was so good I had two bowls. I'll have to ask her one day how to make such delicious soup her way, so when she returns to the Philipines (one of her goals), I can have more things I learned from her. From what I could taste soup had shitake mushrooms, bamboo stalks, egg flower, and baby corn. So savory yet sour. And vegetarian this time! I could go for another bowl as I type this 🤤.

I left half the rice and a few plantains as leftovers but I might eat them as a night snack before bed. I like the flavor combos and I need to up the volume on my serving sizes to get adequate energy and nutrition. This "taking care of urself" shit is hard!

The probably keep pringles (I can't remember the flavour he always stole ate in early seasons but they'd have that flavour) and the pizza rolls and the other foods that he's lived off previously because they're familiar and somewhat a comfort food

And he loves being in the kitchen when Ian's cooking so he can touch all the ingredients and taste the good ingredients

I'm project on poor Mickey with this but even in canon we see him getting upset over not having a particular brand/type of beer so he's definitely got his favourite brands of things and when he can't get those brands it really upsets him

hmmmm idk probably basic foods like pb&j, buttered toast, ramen noodles, and yeah junk food he ate growing up like chips and pizza rolls and pizza bagels (pizza bagels fans rise up!!) hes definitely a junk food lover first and foremost hes just like me fr. ill be unable to eat 99% of foods but put chocolate in front of me and suddenly i forget all about my gi issues. my mans would refuse to eat meatloaf but has no problem eating an entire bag of halloween candy for dinner

beer lovers are kinda insane theyre either like "oh boy a new microbrewery just opened with an ipa made from hallucinogenic hops only found in the gobi desert!!" or theyre like "if you put anything other than miller light in front of me ill murder you" mickey is very much in the latter category. give him a lager and leave him the fuck alone. beer is nasty a hell

anyway hehehe i love the idea of him all up in ians space in the kitchen, sniffing all the ingredients and tasting along as ian cooks. ian has a mental catalogue of their yucks and yums and usually tries to compromise, but hes also a little bastard and makes foods he knows mickey will probably hate just because he reeeeeally wants to try it this new recipe seriously mickey just take ONE BITE if you try just one bite and dont like it ill buy you pizza with whatever toppings you want just please try my new dish 🥺🥺 ian is known to "hide" fruits and veggies in foods. he becomes sort of a master at making sure mickey (and franny and freddie) are getting all their nutrients without even realizing it. he tried to hide veggies in mickeys safe food once and ruined that safe food for mickey and he had a meltdown and didnt talk for the next day so ian doesnt fuck with mickeys safe foods anymore

oh i think shes the type to forget its valentines season! she would probably scramble to get you something... i think she would give you flowers, from the grounds! probably tries to hastily throw together a date for you, trying to make it sound like she had it planned this entire time... oh she feels so so bad, please reassure her that its fine..! its just her first valentines with you and shes already blowing it, at least in her opinion! otherwise, though, shes very sweet... although still a little tense in her word delivery when shes trying to flirt with you, but thats only because pomni in general is an awkward person, at least in my opinion.. 7/10 shes doing her best

i think this comes as a shock to absolutely no one, but she makes you a card with her own hands. but i think it would be intricate. gangle seems like the type to better express her feelings through writing rather than verbalizing them... so for you, in this card, she pours herself out to you. theres multiple segments, youre going to have to hold it sideways and let it fall open, it probably hits the ground... she even make little pop-outs, of the two of you and hearts and other things... theres even some tuggy things to reveal portions and make things move... she looks so anxious giving it to you, perhaps thinking shes done too much,, but she awaits your response... yeah i dont think anything is going to top this, its deeply personal and its crafted for you and only you.. 10/10 i would frame it up honestly
