#Face wash for remove dust and oil
Note
What if when Nyra gets crowned, she has a crown made for Jace? His wife could help him get ready for the coronation (I’m talking bathing, hair, dressing, everything). Maybe it’s to show him how serious she is about him being her heir
When I saw this picture (not my edit, idk who made it), I had to write something
my taglists are here + you can send requests here at any time
Tumblr media
‘’The prince’s bath is ready, Princess,’’ one of the maids informed you, coming to the table where you had been breaking your fast. ‘’Does the prince needs us to assist him? I will call a male servant.’’
You thanked her for the bath, then shook your head. ‘’That won’t be necessary,’’ you replied. ''And leave the towels on the chair.''
''Yes, Princess. Should I have his morning meal brought to his chamber? He must break his fast before the coronation, her Grace said.''
You glance at the bed in the distance, seeing Jacaerys' sleeping form under the covers. He had difficulty falling asleep last night, his nerves making him restless, so you let him sleep longer. The coronation wasn't until late morning.
''I will see with him after his bath. I'll send someone to the kitchens.''
The maid nodded, then left.
After you finished your meal, you went to the bed and gently woke your husband, caressing his messy hair. It always baffled you how all over the place they get during his sleep. You pressed a lingering soft kiss to his soft cheek. ‘’It’s time to wake, my love.’’
As you expected, Jacaerys grumbled sleepily and pressed his face deeper into his pillow.
You stifled a smile, finding him endearing when he was acting like a child in the morning. On other days, you would have joined him for another hour of sleep, but you couldn’t allow yourself that luxury today. You needed to prepare for the day you’ve all been waiting for: Rhaenyra reclaiming her seat and — officially — becoming the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms.
‘’Your bath is ready. Come.’’ You stood, knowing he’ll try to pull you with him if you stayed seated on the bed.
Jacaerys reluctantly dragged himself out of bed. He sleepily followed you to the bathing area, his eyes still heavy with sleep and his curls sticking out in all the places. He looked adorable in his groggy state.
Like a toddler running after his mama, he wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you close. ‘’You left me alone in bed,’’ he complained, his voice still raspy from his sleep, as he buried his face in the crook of your neck. ‘’It was cold without you.’’
A smile curved on your lips, and you leaned into your husband’s embrace. His lips skimmed lightly over the sensitive skin of your neck. ‘’Cold? I find that difficult to believe, my love. You were wrapped in a blanket with the fire blazing in the hearth.’’
‘’Still cold,’’ he grumbled, pressing a sweet kiss to the spot where your shoulder met your neck, making you shiver slightly. ‘’I prefer having you in my arms to keep me warm.’’
‘’And I would prefer if you disrobed and sat in the bathtub so I can wash your hair.’’
Jacaerys huffed, then released you and started to remove his night tunic. He left it in a lump on the floor, then stepped into the hot bath.
You sat on the stool right by the tub and filled the pitcher with water to pour it over his hair. ''Cover your eyes.''
He closed them, letting the water fall down his face instead of shielding his eyes with his hand.
You lathered soap in your hands and Jacaerys sighed as you began to wash his hair, finding it soothing how your fingers massaged his scalp. Before he was wed to you, he had servants who assisted him and they were nowhere near as gentle as you.
''Cover your eyes again.''
You poured more water, washing down the sods before applying oils and brushing them with a comb. It was better to brush curly hair when wet than dry. Jacaerys had learned that the hard way as a child...
Once his hair was oiled and brushed, you began to wash his back and shoulders, the hot water cascading over the light dust of freckles. He hummed pleasantly, enjoying the feel of your slender fingers rubbing the soap into his skin.
‘’I still cannot believe Mother had a crown made for me. Heirs don't wear crowns,’’ Jacaerys said, his nerves making him pick at his nails.
When the King named Rhaenyra his heir, there was no crown given to her. He only organized a grand ceremony at court to publicly declare the princess  as his rightful successor.
But Rhaenyra wanted to make things different.
''Her Grace remembers your fear that a lowborn with white hair might lay claim on the Iron Throne after her passing. By giving you a crown in front of all the Lords, Ladies and other nobles, she wishes to remind you —and everyone — that you are the future rightful ruler of the Seven Kingdoms and that no one can take your place. Being a dragonlord or having Valyrian features does not grant anyone a claim to the throne. You are the heir because you are the son of the Queen.''
Absent-mindedly, Jacaerys continued picking at his fingers, drawing blood out. He was more nervous now than he had been on your wedding night. His mind was going through all the possible and impossible scenarios of the coronation... What if something went wrong? What if he tripped in front of everyone? What if the remaining supporters of the Greens tried to sabotage the ceremony?
''Quit doing that,'' you scolded, taking his hand from him. ''A prince cannot receive his crown with blood under his nails.'' You took a brush and scrubbed the blood and dirt around and under his nails.
He apologized.
''You're nervous, it's alright,’’ you said, your eyes soft and understanding.
He sighed and reached over the tub to take the sponge. ‘’You don't need to do everything, you know. I can wash myself.’’ He lathered soap on a sponge and scrubbed his skin while you continued with his nails.
Once he was thoroughly clean, Jacaerys dried himself with a warm towel, then slipped on his robe. He never wore one before you came into his life, claiming it was for women, but he loved to lounge in one after his bath. The silk was soft on his skin and light. You had one made for him for his eight and ten nameday — a dark and rich red color with an embroidered dragon at the back.
You made him sit at your vanity table. It was unusual for him. The vanity was your spot. He enjoyed watching you sitting there in the mornings, picking jewelry and scented oils, or simply brushing your hair. Sometimes, he would even offer to brush them for you.
You combed through his damp hair, twirling his curls around your fingers to make them more defined. ''You're gonna be the most handsome prince the court has ever seen,'' you declared, tucking a last curl behind his ear, showing off his beautiful face.
Though he lacked the classic Valyrian traits, replaced by a perfect reflection of the former Lord Commander of the City Watch, the gods had blessed him with the gift of beauty. If you hadn't been already married to him, you would have been jealous of the woman he called his wife.
Jacaerys rolled his eyes and pulled you down on his lap. From this close, you could see every freckle across his nose and cheeks. His lips were a slightly darker pink, stained from the cherries he just ate. You couldn't resist kissing them.
The kiss was brief, causing the prince to pout.
You gave him another kiss, this one slightly longer, then stood when he tried to chase after your lips for more. You knew that game. You'll never be ready on time if you let him get what he wants.
''Later,'' you promised, lifting his chin and pulling down a single strand of hair, curling it around your finger.
He'll look glorious with his crown.

late night tv, i want you on me
soft!leon kennedy x fem!reader blurb
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
literally just domestic fluff
it's all a little boring since you quit your job. most of the days you spend trying to keep up with a routine your boyfriend helped you to plan, but you end up sleeping until noon and eating frozen fruits while watching stupid tv shows or playing some pc games. you kinda hate yourself for it, since you should be studying or going to the gym or, you know, looking for a job. although leon has told you to not worry about it, since he is a big badass secret agent and can provide for you both, you still want to do you own thing. you feel less like a leech when you engage in cleaning or taking care of the house. you quite enjoy the days when you wake up early (10 am) and have a long hot shower, washing your hair, exfoliating and then proceding to apply moisturizers and hair oils. then you lunch and spend the next hour doing the laundry, trying to get some gruesome stains out of leon's shirts. you end up leaving the stains you cant completely scrub off and lining the clothes to dry out in the sun. you study a little, after managing to clean the kitchen and sweep some dust out of the rooms. you put clean sheets, since leon in finally coming home. it makes you smile lazily, eager to smell his cologne and find warmth in his arms. you try to make a nice dinner for him, some pasta and shrimps, and induge yourself in some late night tv after its done. you wait for him, even though you're almost falling asleep. the lock on the door creaks and you feel your body getting filled with longing. leon opens the door smiling softly, a little bruise on his brow and you're pretty sure there's others underneath his dark clothing. you reach to him shyly, waiting until he drops his bags and removes his shoes before attacking him. he laughs when you do, wrapping his arms around you, pulling you a little off the ground. he kisses your lips while youre smiling. "made your favorite dinner" you mutter before running to the kitchen to heat up. leon cant stop watching you, too happy to be at home again. he closes and locks the door and follows you to the kitchen. you frown a little when he doesnt stands right behind you engulfing your body with his. he looks at you with a puzzled expression. "i want you on me" he smiles all shy before reaching to you, glueing his chest on your back and nuzzling his face on your neck. you´re pretty sure this is what happiness is.

Secret /// Azriel X F!Reader
Summary: Azriel it’s secretly dating someone, not even his family is aware, until they meet her on unfortunate circumstances.
Warnings: Mentions of blood and torture
Word Count: 1,5K
Notes: This have been on my drafts for a while, for so long that it’s probably covered in dust, allergic people, be aware ahahahahahahah
Main Masterlist
His calloused hands rubbed her back, squeezing the skin and trying to undo the knots in the muscles, she snored, her eyes closed as Azriel worked his magic. The soft sounds of rain and the faint smell of mint from the oil he was using for the massage relaxing her brain.
He looked down, seeing her deep asleep, he removed his hands and covered her naked back with the blankets, kissing her forehead and leaving to go wash his hands. As he laid down with her, she snuggled closer to him, he buried his nose in her hair, inhaling the scent, it smelled like fresh strawberries and he loved that.
He was dating Y/N for over a year, and with all the problems with Koschei, he was afraid to make the relationship public, afraid she would get harmed, even though she could perfectly protect herself, he wouldn’t risk it, it would wreck him if she was suddenly put in danger because of him. So the relationship was a secret, even for his family.
⋆˙⟡☾𖤓☽ ⟡˙⋆
The sunlight peeked from behind the thin curtains, he whispered a good morning, tapping her side of the bed just to find it empty, he immediately got up, exiting the bedroom just to find her standing in the doorway, a tray in her hands, filled with pastries and coffee, for him.
“I wanted to return the favor, my back feels amazing. So I made you breakfast.” She smiled at him, the smile that could light up the whole world and his heart melted in his chest, she signed for him to move back to bed and he did, she placed the tray on his lap and sat by his side so they could eat.
“No one ever served me breakfast in bed before.” She looked even more happy. “Thank you baby.”
“Glad to be the first then. I wanted to do it before but it’s rare when I have the time to actually enjoy mornings.” She sighed, sipping on her coffee.
“Yeah, must be tough, being the best healer in Prythian.” She smiled once more. “But please, don’t tell Madja that.”
“It’s not like I have the time to brag, we’ve been working a lot lately, with all that is happening, we barely have time to talk.”
“I promise to you that once we deal with Koschei, we’ll go to the summer court and have a two week vacation.” She giggled.
“Deal! I always wanted to see Adriata anyways.” They finished breakfast and she got herself ready for work, while Rhysand called him, demanding to see him straight away.
“I have to go. Have a good day honey, I love you.” He said, his lips wrapped up hers, his hands squeezed her waist and he kissed her deeply. She looked a little dizzy when they parted ways.
“I love you too, Az.” And with that, he was gone.
⋆˙⟡☾𖤓☽ ⟡˙⋆
Four days, usually when Azriel disappeared like this, it meant he was out on a mission, but this time something felt off, she tapped her feet on the ground, unable to focus on the list in front of her. The house was silent, and she frustratedly tossed the receipts back on the table, she hated doing the administrative part, her thing was to heal people, to get into action, that was what she was made for, what her magic was made for.
She decided to take a hot shower and try to sleep, her chest feeling heavy, making it a little hard to breathe. He would always leave a note when he went on longer missions, but this time, there was nothing for her. She closed her eyes, noticing how her body slightly shivered in fear.
⋆˙⟡☾𖤓☽ ⟡˙⋆
A loud banging on the door woke her up, she rushed to attend, it was the middle of the night and one of Madja’s apprentice was on the other side, by the looks on his face he was also yanked out of the bed out of nowhere.
“Madja needs you, it’s the shadowsinger.” The male’s voice became a distant noise as the last word left his lips. She ran to the bedroom again, putting on her pants and her boots, barely locking the door as she winnowed to the Healers Hall.
She followed the apprentice, getting to a private room, Madja was working on the barely recognizable Azriel, he was covered in blood and his face was swollen, he had a huge slit in his chest, and by the smell of poison, she understood why he wasn’t healing. She swallowed the lump in her throat and tried to contain her shaking hands as she approached the table.
“What happened?” Madja looked up, one of the healers was cleaning him and Madja was cutting his clothes with a scissor.
“I sent him on a mission, he was captured by Koschei, I guess he wanted to send us a message.” Rhysand, the High Lord, sounded desperate from the corner of the room, Y/N quickly looked at him, with the General by his side, they looked back at her and Cassian raised an eyebrow, sharing a look with Rhysand. She didn’t have time for that.
Assessing the damages, she almost sobbed, her hands shaking uncontrollably as she looked at the infected skin around the open wound.
“We have to keep him stable until the poison comes out of his system.” One healer said, and Y/N nodded, cleaning and closing the slit was the first thing to do. She ordered around for water and a cloth, she rubbed the spot multiple times, until the skin was pink and perfectly clean.
Madja gave him another liquid, forcing it down his throat, Y/N new it was to relief the pain and help with the swelling on his face. Azriel was in a deep slumber, his breath was really weak. Y/N managed to prepare the needle for the stitches, her hands covered in his blood also, she started to patch him up, gently, trying her best to control her hands and the tears that threatened to spill from her eyes.
“His heart rate is dropping quickly.” The healer that stood by his side monitoring him alerted, and Y/N’s head snapped up as she finished the last stitch. The High Lord stepped forward ready to use his magic as he could to prevent his brother from dying.
“Bring me the adrenaline, NOW.” Madja demanded and someone ran outside to go get it, while Y/N used her powers to try and keep him steady, but as the seconds went by, his heart kept beating less and less until she could feel nothing.
“No. No, Azriel don’t.” She sobbed, her eyes wide as she looked at his pale face and unmoving chest. She felt it, the spark in the tips of her fingers, the electricity that slept within herself suddenly awake.
“Everyone step away.” Madja warned as Y/N focused that energy on her palms.
“You can’t DIE.” She screamed, planting her hands with her palms flat on his chest, the electricity rushed from her body in a spark of blue and jolted his body up. “C’mon Az, you have to take me to Adriata, remember?” She spoke, pulling her hands up and smashing his chest again, his body jolted but his heart still didn’t react. “You have to take me to have dinner with your family dammit.” She concentrated all that energy on her palms, the buzzing sound of electricity was the only thing in the room as everyone held their breaths while they watched. “You have to go back cuz I love you more than anything.” She pressed her palms on his chest, sending the energy until she heard his heart beating and Azriel jolted awake.
He peaked at her from a barely open eye, while she fell to his chest sobbing, his hand weakly moved through her hair.
“My body feels tingly.” He managed to say and she lifted her head, the tears hadn’t stopped but she was smiling, giggling as she crashed her lips against his, he kissed her back, and she felt the relief wash over her and relieve the weight on her chest.
“I told you this was Azriel’s favorite shirt.” The general spoke as him and Rhysand approached them, they had tears in their eyes as they watched Azriel.
“How are you feeling Az?” Rhys asked.
“Like shit, but at least I’m alive.” He tried to joke but no one laughed, the idea of him gone wasn’t something to joke around.
“I can’t even start to thank you.” Rhys looked at her. “All of you.” He turned to the rest of the healers. “Thank you so much for keeping my brother alive.”
“I did this based totally on selfish reasons but you’re welcome.” Rhysand and Cassian laughed.
“What can I do for you?” Rhys asked.
“You can invite me over for dinner. It’s been a year and Azriel hasn't taken me to a single one.” The shadowsinger lazily smiled, his face already looked better, meaning the effects of the poison were already vanishing.
“A year?” Cassian asked in disbelief.
“I just had to be sure she was the love of my life before I introduced her to that bunch of crazy people.” Azriel spoke, his voice cracking a little.
“Are you sure now?” Y/N shyly asked.
“More than ever.” He replied.

SKINCARE TIPS part II.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hello my lovlies, welcome back to a new post! I wanted to come back with something easy and fresh for the beginning of the colder season, since I'm guilty for not taking care of my skin in the fall as much as I am in the summer time. So I want to make a quick post about skincare once again. If you have any questions leave then bellow, I always anwser! With that being said let's get into the post shall we?
〰️ DISCLAIMER
I'm am not a certified dermatologist/cosmetologist, I highly advise to go to one if your having a hard time with your skin! With that being said, let's get into the post. 🕊
TIPS AND TRICKS
I. INTUITIVE SKINCARE
Now I know in the first post I talked about skincare cycling and how that can help to stay on track and it's also very beginner friendly to understand the process and the products that go together. But as time goes and you get into skincare you'll soon realize how good it is to monitor and understand your skin. Some days it will be very dry and patchy and some days it will be immensely oily and clogged. That's why I always recommend having two sets of skincare for different occasions. I work in an environment where my face gets dry patches after a few days, so on those nights I reach for my soothing cleanser and heavier moisturizer. If you're forgetful like me, you can also put an alarm in your calender for monitoring, this also helps me out on those busy weeks.
II. HYGIENE AROUND YOUR SKINCARE
I know many people who don't change their towels, wash cloths after a few days and I'm not saying you're dirty for that, I'm just suggesting you should try changing them everyday. I have 7 wash clothes, which I use once a day (morning and night) and I clean all of them together only with my sheets on the highest temperature. I also stopped washing them with softener, since this can lead to build up over time. If you're worried they will seem stiff, add some white vinegar, they fluff up towels real nice! I advise all my closest friends with acne prone skin to try this out or just use boxed tissues, even though this can be a little pricey and not eco friendly. Not a fan of makeup remover wipes anyway... to add on to this make sure to buy products with pumps so you don't scoop your hands into the product, even if they've been cleaned. Old skin, dust particles and such can get into the product.
III. OVER EXFOLIATING
I know you've heard people say this a million times, but is really is the case, especially if you have reactive/sensitive skin. Stop using exfoliating products more than twice a week. What this can do is a plethora of bad things. From stripping all the natural oils from your skin to dehydrating it, to making it more sensitive than it was before. Patience is the key here.
IV. RETINOL USE
When talking about patience, the first thing that pops up in my head is retinol, because o boy do you need a lot of patience for this. It can seem very intimidating at first but if you stick with simple steps the purging will not be so bad. Retinol makes skin cells turn over faster, by doing so when you start using it, it will push out more dirt than usual. This is the reason people stop using it. They payed so much for this product and now they have to look at a million blemishes popping out of nowhere. Our skin doesn't like big changes and retinol is a big shock to our skin from the start. So I advise in the beginning doing it once a week. I used to have retinol Sundays and yes I did purge, but not so much I had to stop. A pimple or two a week I would say, and with that I would just put pimple patches on them and it would resolve the issue.
Rules for retinol:
1. Never use retinol in the morning, it degrades in the sun. So you're throwing your money down the drain.
2. Don't mix it with vitamin C, salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. Yes you can have a skin day where you exfoliate with salicylic acid, but than have a recovery day after. In the same day, I wouldn't recommend it for the majority of people.
3. Never use more than a pea sized amount for a long period of time. Your skin needs to get used to the dosage.
4. I know the "sandwich" method is really popular right now with retinols, but I advise the old fashioned route. Sandwithing is putting a moisturizer before and after a retinol. I like to use a heavy moisturizer after the retinol and that's it. Even if you have acne prone skin, a heavier cream is necessary beacuse retinols dry out skin.
5. Don't apply to damp skin. Even though it may seem like a logical step, it does more damage than good. When applying a retinol to damp skin it penetrates deeper. So this can be quite irritating for your skin.
6. Don't forget the neck area and also your hands!
7. In the beginning do it only once a week and than after a month/two crank it up to twice a week. Really monitor your skin when cranking up the volume of retinol to see if you need to still hold back. Please please please dont rush this step. It's better to hold back a week or two than rushing.
8. Invest in a good sunscreen after getting into retinol and apply it every morning, reapplying every 2-3 hours when doing outdoor activities. If you work only indoor apply in the morning and the moment you exit your work place...that'll do it.
V. SUNSCREEN
For the longest time I didn't invest in some sort of good sunscreen, I have no idea why to be honest with. I guess I was just lazy to be honest. Sunscreen is the most important item to have in your skincare bag. All this money can be spent on creams, toners, moisturizers, retinols and so on...but it means nothing when you don't have UV protection for your skin.
VI. MORE IS MORE
Many think if they have an oily face that they can moisterize less or even not at all. The trick is to find a cream/moisturizer that is not heavy or that clogs your pores. Most of the time you will damage and cause even more blackheads/whiteheads if you don't moisturize because your skin will increase your sebum production. More is more, try out toners as well for amazing hydration!
Also be sure to know that there are 2 types of sunscreen: chemical and mineral.
🖤 Chemical Suncscreens absorb UV rays, acting like a sponge. It's better for oily/acne prone skin because they are lighter than mineral one's. With this being said if you break out easily, you can also try chemical sunscreens. Chemical sunscreens have ingredients like OXYBENZONE, AVOBENZONE and OCTOCRYLENE.
🖤 Minereal Sunscreens reflect UV rays of the skin, they are more suited for babies, sensitive skin and also pregnant women! The ingredients that are in minereal sunscreens are ZINC OXIDE AND TITANIUM DIOXIDE.
IV. BEGINNER ROUTINES
I struggled with this a lot, not even going to lie. When the whole world is just throwing so many products at your face and you just don't know where to begin. What chemicals go together, what is better in the day time, what products should you spurge on etc... I had many problems in the beginning because I was introducing so much to my skin. So I'm going to give a few examples for a beginner skincare routine with some of my favorite products so you don't need to struggle. Also I go by the this too when I'm feeling lazy and don't want to put 10 products on my face.
🖤MORNING
For daytime I recommend just the simple cleanse, moisturize and spf. On to this later you can add hydrating toners, vitamin C, an essence like snail mucin, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide. All of these products can go together!
🖤 NIGHT
Double cleansing in my opinion is a must, even if you have sensitive skin. Start of with an oil based cleanser on DRY skin, message for a minute, rise and than apply a normal cleanser, massage for a minute and rinse again. The oil pulls out gunk from the pores. After that make sure your face is dry and than apply your started retinol followed up with a heavier moisturiser. To this routine later you can also add eyes creams, again essence/and or toners and spot treatments for acne/dark spots.
🖤EXFOLIATION
Even sensitive skin needs exfoliation at less once a week, but be careful to really keep this routine simple. Again double cleanse, only this time the first cleanser is an oil based and the second is a salicylic based cleanser. Follow that up with a very soothing cream. For deeper exfoliation later you can look into exfoliation masks (the ordinary has one with salicylic acid) or a clay mask. Or my personal fave on exfoliation night is aloe vera gel and snail mucin. Glycolic acid and lactic acid are also an exfoliating product.
Hope you enjoyed the post!
xoxo NK

I miss them so much, I miss Empires Season 1
I kinda wanna draw them all again
Here are some lore ramblings under the cut
When Gem ran away from the Grimlands, she sought any way to remove her physical connection from the kingdom. The Grimland’s dependency on machinery made it rare to see one with long hair. Long hair was a hazard, it could get caught on all matters of gears and switches. So Gem let her hair grow and refused to cut it. She religiously straightened her hair, her naturally curly, ginger hair was too similar to her younger brothers. When Gem attempted to change her hair’s color she hesitated. She found herself unable to remove that part of herself. Instead, she chose to wear a hood, which was later replaced by a grand wizard’s cap when she received it.
As the first heir to the Grimlands, she was raised to be responsible for the kingdom. She was forced to take great care of her speech, her appearance, and her clothing. This habit truly never died down, even after a decade of her escape. She keeps her clothing clean and her dresses always pressed. Gem keeps her now straightened hair in a neat and tight braid. The responsibility weighed heavily on Gem, she often misses nights of sleep in favor of researching into the night. Her eyes are weighed down by eyebags, aging her youthful face. She feels guilt for abandoning her brother but hopes that she does not see him again in fear of his rejection.
Fwhip was never meant to become the Count. As such his parents never placed high standards on him. He was allowed to experiment with Redstone and roam freely across the kingdom. It was not until his sister’s disappearance that he was forced to take on her responsibilities. Fwhip always hated maintaining composure. What he hated more was being forced to abandon his experiments. When his parents died, he gave the brunt of his responsibilities to his advisors and retreated into his laboratory. His curly hair is constantly tangled and covered in unknown motor oils and grease. He does the bare minimum while making appearances in kingdoms (wearing a clean jacket and washing his scarf). His eyebrows are singed and grow weirdly from his experiments’ constant explosions. His time outdoors testing his latest creation has left his skin suntanned.
He wonders what became of his sister. When she vanished, their parents seemed…relieved. Fwhip knew his sister was different. He knew that the day he smuggled her redstone powder, only for it to turn into Amethyst dust in her hands. He knew the day her eyes turned a magical green hue, different from the icy blue they both once had. It enraged Fwhip when his parents pretended she never existed, erased all mentions of her, and even destroyed the few paintings they had commissioned throughout their youth. Yet, he can’t help but feel like her disappearance was fueled by him. Fwhip knew the stress his sister was under, yet did nothing to support her. He hopes to see her again one day and he hopes he can make amends with her.

The only everything shower routine you’ll ever need ౨ৎ
Pre shower
Hair -
Scalp oiling: use a store bought scalp oil or make your own. Cover hair with cling film to stop dust and dirt while it stays in your hair for 2-4 hours.
Rosemary water: boil rosemary in water for 20 minutes and allow to cool before straining into a spray bottle.
Scalp massage: massage scalp for at least 20 minutes once scalp oil is applied, increases blood circulation which helps hair growth.
Face -w
Flaxseed mask: mix 1/2 flaxseeds with 3 cups water, bring to a boil until thick while continuously stirring then put into a container to cool. Apply to face once cool and leave until dried, around an hour.
Shape eyebrows: pluck eyebrows, if wanted use dye to define them further.
Hands and feet-
Foot spa: if you don’t have a foot spa fill a bowl with hot water, add bath salts and essential oil for scent and extra benefits
Remove any nail polish
Shape and file nails
Scrub feet: use pumice stone or another tool, then afterwards a body/foot scrub.
Body -
Dry brush: start from the bottom of your body and work you way up. Promotes blood circulation and exfoliates giving you smooth skin.
During shower
Hair -
Double shampoo: double shampoo when scalp oiling to properly cleanse scalp of oil.
Hair mask: while the hair mask sits in your hair for 10+ minutes it’s a good time to gua sha your face.
Conditioner
Face -
Gua sha: open lymph nodes, go through a gua shaing routine, then drain lymph nodes. There are lots of tutorials online to follow. I gua sha in the shower with a face wash and water. Never gua sha on dry skin it damages your skin barrier and causes premature aging, if you skin starts to feel like it’s pulling add more moisture.
Face wash
Body -
Exfoliate: use a glove, net or other exfoliating tool to exfoliate body.
Body scrub
Body wash
Shave (if wanted): use a sharp razor, blunt razors can cause razor bumps. Shave with a cream or wash, never on skin alone.
After shower
Face -
Face mask
Skincare: if you have products that you only use every so often this is a good time to use them as an extra treat.
Eye mask
Lip scrub: make your own with sugar, honey and coconut oil or use a store bought one.
Lip balm/moisturiser
Eyelash and eyebrow oil/serum: castor oil works great for me.
Body -
Body oil: apply a scented body oil straight out of shower while skin is still damp.
Moisturize: moisturise entire body.
Hair -
Leave in conditioner: depending on hair type the amount will vary, if you have straighter hair add very little and only to the ends to prevent greasiness.
Hair oil: once hair is completely dry warm a tiny amount of hair oil in your palms (hair oil is not the same as scalp oil!) rub into the very ends of your hair to help with split ends, shine and dryness
Hands and feet -
Paint nails
Cuticle oil: apply either bought cuticle oil or another skin oil such as almond oil or coconut oil to cuticles of hands and feet after nail polish is dry.
Moisturize: moisture both hands and feet, add vaseline to feet on top and put on socks to help absorption
Extras
Layer scents: mix and match the scents body washes, scrubs, hair products and moisturisers to create your personal scent. For example fruity, warm and spicy, vanilla, etc.
Pick products for your concerns: curate your products to your skin and hair concerns. Use a more moisturising lotion is your skin is dry, use a repairing shampoo if your hair is damaged, etc.
The best time to do an everything shower is on reset days, although it’s a great way to end and start the week these don’t have to be on Sundays. Of course everything showers can be done whenever you feel like relaxing and giving yourself some love.

The Monk and the Traveller Ch.2
Cherry spent about two hours with the man, getting a dinner of fried fox wrapped in various herbs along with some pheasant he had cooked the night before, leaving the pheasant he had caught today to prepare later. Alcohol flowed freely, much to the monk’s taciturn delight, Collier pouring him large servings of Sake[1] into a pair of ornate jet sake dishes he had. ‘It would be wrong to serve them in something else!’ he had remarked, just before gulping down the clear drink. By the end of the supper the smaller man was thoroughly drunk, both on good food and good drink, completely red in the face and quite out of it.
Collier made conversation all the while, asking questions about the man while discussing himself, but Cherry was only in a state to offer monosyllabic replies or nods. The Englishman noticed, but was not too bothered by it, enjoying the company nonetheless as he spoke increasingly to himself. In the end Cherry was struggling to hold himself awake, beginning to nod off into the drink in his hand. Collier grabbed him under the arm and pulled him to his room, the monk wearing a Cheshire cat smile all the way. His room was lavish for the hotel, simplistic yet finely decorated where it could be. Collier pulled the man to his room and laid him on his bed, leaving his hat hung on his staff and the latter leaned against the wall outside the room, along with his sandals.
He left through the door, leaving the key inside near it, hearing Cherry’s drunken mumblings as he left. He walked back down the hall to his room, nodding to the daughter of the inn as they passed each other, which she returned curtly as she carried a number of towels. He returned to his room, locking the door behind himself then changed into a pair of striped pyjamas, removing his money from the jacket before folding it away. He went to bed, laying his watch near his head after unlatching it from his wrist, then laying down on the futon[2].
Collier woke up early, as he often did, getting up and stretching before walking off to wash his face and brush his teeth. After that, he changed into the trousers he had worn yesterday, with a fresh shirt rolling up the sleeves as he grabbed his guns to clean them.
The rifle was an equitize piece, a Lee Speed sporting with high grade wood, polished a deep colour. A metal butt plate on its rear, with a sling loop on the underside of the stock, a few inches up of a metal oval in the stock. The semi-pistol grip was beautifully chequered, a horn grip cap just below it, the trigger and magazine just ahead of it. Both featured light engravings, a deep one on the underside of the trigger guard. The foregrip was just a deeply chequered as the grip, capped with deep black horn as well. The action was blued deeply, with a round bolt head, a dust cover over the top of the action, the magazine cut-off just below it. The Lee action locked into a beautifully blued long barrel, a chequered rib all along the top, bar for the inscription of ‘Army & Navy Cooperative Ltd[3] London For cordite only’. A set of three flip up leaf sight near the action, platinum lines up their centres, along with a ladder sight up to a thousand yards, left for the ambitions. The end of the barrel featured a raised dot sight, adjustable with a set screw on one side, the muzzle showing the grooves of Enfield-style rifling as a swing loop was affixed under the far end of the barrel.
He disassembled and cleaned the rifle, being somewhat liberal on the use of oil as he cleaned out the cordite residue in the rifling, giving all the metal and wood a quick polish as he put it back together, working the action as he finished, then holding the trigger as it closed it back so it wouldn’t re-cock the striker. His revolvers were in better concern, not having been used as much. The first, and smaller of the two was Merwin & Hulbert Third Model frontier. An army style revolver, meaning it was chambered in the US army’s standard of .44 calibre, specifically in .44-40 or Winchester 1873 as it was marked on the gun. It featured a flared, bell-shaped grip made of ivory, a seven inch barrel, and was nickel plated. It was well engraved, seeing woven patterns of reeds and roaming Saharan fauna. He had bought it when he had travelled to America, enjoying the speed and strength of the gun, especially as this was a double action model.
His other one, a deep blued piece, was a Webley Target with Bakelite grips and seven and a half inch barrel. Both the rear-sight on the latch and the front sight were adjustable, the grip being flared at the base and the trigger serrated. It was Chambered in .477 Eley, also called Enfield, it was a black powder cartridge which Collier used as a stopping revolver, for tigers, bears and the like. Though unfortunately it would not go much larger in it’s targets.
He finished cleaning the trio of weapons he had got out, placing them away as he went to wash his hands and finish getting dressed. Before he left he went past Cherry’s room, pressing his ear to the door, checking for signs that the monk was still alive. He heard the man toss slightly within the room, so drew back, assured that he had not helped the man drink himself to death. He pulled on his coat and the rest of his equipment, a small rucksack on his back, along with a burlap wrapped canteen. An ammunition pouch strapped under the rucksack, along with an expense pouch on his right hip, near a metal brace for carrying game, both revolvers holster at his waist on the left.
He grabbed the left-over bits of fox meat, wrapped in wax-paper, to use as bait, placing them with the other select chunks he had with him already in his bag. He affixed a hunting knife to his belt, an ivory handled Damascus blade, then pulled his rifle over his shoulder. He left his room, locking it behind him as he walked, holding his boots by the mouth pinched between his finger and thumb. The sun had barely risen as he left his room, nodding to Surogasu as they passed each other the owner smiling warmly at his guest, though still wearing a tired look on his face. Collier walked to the entrance, stopping to don his boots, then left. Morning was dark outside, the sun not having yet raised its face. He checked his watch using what remained of the light from the inn, and saw it was twenty-eight minutes to five o’clock. He smiled to himself then set off into the dark, accompanied by the early morning songs of birds and the chatter of insects.
He arrived in the woods shortly after, adjusting his equipment, making sure nothing could rattle before loading his rifle, loading each round of .303 individually into the box magazine. He loaded both revolvers as well, opening the loading gate on the right side of the Merwin’s cylinder before sliding into its holster and retrieving the Webley. He broke it open, dropping the large bullets into the cylinder one by one before snapping it shut and holstering it as well. He stepped carefully through the woods, lifting his legs high to not become entangled in the groundcover underfoot. Conifer trees stretched high around him, draining out what little light the morning had granted him as he continued forward. He checked his watch, the radium on the hands lightly illuminating the face, allowing him to see that it had just turned quarter past five. He grabbed some bait from his rucksack, a section of breasted pheasant and set it up in a small parting in the ground cover. He moved downwind of the meat, watching closely as he moved away from it. When he was far enough away he chambered a round in his rifle, flipping up the leaf sight for the right range as he crouched down in the bracken, concealing himself within it. He waited patiently, watching around the spot as he listened to the quiet, moving occasionally to try and stay into the wind so that his scent would not blow over the bait.
After a while, just as the twinkling sparks of daylight began to burn, Collier saw movement ahead of him, just by a small mess of holly near the bait. A fox swept out of the cover, glancing around the space as it seemed to be heading home, but had noticed the food ahead of it. It moved to it, cautious on instinct, the mess of chicken blood already present on its chest as it considered the additional meal. Finally it darted close to it and snatched it up in its mouth. Before it could dash off, its legs already shifting, Collier fired, the sights lined up squarely on the creatures red face. The bullet boomed as it left the barrel, wreathed in a great boa of fire and burning cordite as it whipped past the plants surrounding the muzzle to pierce cleanly through the fox’s head. The creature didn’t notice, flopping to the ground from the residual inertia. The shot echoed off the thin trunks of the trees, bouncing up and down the uneven ground of the forest. Birds flew off in distress at the noise, though a number remained unabashed in their sleep.
Collier lifted and pulled back the bolt, catching the brass and dumping it into a pocket. He closed the bolt, chambering a round, then flipped on the safety before striding over to the fox. It was still twitching slightly, the last shocks of nerves displaying a fruitless imitation of life. He affixed the body to the brace had had at his hip, shifting it around so he could reach his expense pouch for cartridges. He left what remained of the bait on the ground, for the scavengers he thought. He made his way forward, an idle crow calling after him, almost in thanks for the meal he had left it. He made the same attempt two more times, the first succeeding, though the shot pierced its neck. The last attempt was fruitless, the day already having broke, seeing then end of any excursion for a fox.
He heard and saw a number of squirrels busing themselves across the tree branches, flashes of red and grey backlit against the innumerous greens and browns of the conifers. He let them alone, deciding to come back with a shotgun another time. Even his revolvers were likely too powerful for the small creatures. He continued on, finding a small outcropping of stone that he laid himself on, the wind dying down as he did. He stared out over the forest ahead of him, holding his rifle loosely in his hands. He had seen the signs of it a while earlier, small pits called ‘scrapes’ dung into the ground by the thing which stunk of the musky urine they used to mark them. He was in its territory, so he expected it to come, either soon or later.
He had spent the latter half of the day before stalking it, working out the particulars of its realm. He laid still, time ticking by with his watch as the sun moved overhead. By midday he had seen nothing, bar from a flush of green pheasant, of which he shot two with his rifle, bundling them with the foxes, wrapped in a sheet beside him. Then he spotted its shape. Almost fifty inches tall at the shoulder, and about sixty inches long, with deep mahogany fur, darker around the spine of the neck and near invisible white spots on its back. It darted its eyes around the scene with determined caution, prepared to fend off someone who breached his territory, using his impressive antlers. A sika deer, or nihonjika.[4] They were a fascinating species, especially compared to other deer he had hunted. Most would flee when they felt danger, the sika, however would hide. They would conceal themselves, indeed this one had likely done so as Collier hunted for it. But now, it hadn’t seen him, while the reverse was not true.
Collier again lined up the deer’s skull into the sights, the platinum line along the leaf sight crossing the dot sight just at its brow. He pulled the trigger carefully, feeling the take-up on his finger until the sear slipped out from under the striker. The shot was clean, the beautiful creature falling back gracefully, landing in the bracken with a light thrush of foliage and rushing air. Collier stared at it down his sights for a moment, letting out a satisfied exhale before pulling himself to his feet and slinging the rifle back over his shoulder. He grabbed the bundle of shot game beside him, holding it by a length of twine he had tied it up with as he walked over to the beast. Even in death, the buck held its beauty proudly, tall and lean, toned by a life of wilderness.
He dropped the game to the ground, pulling out his knife as he leant over the buck, swiftly and efficiently skinning the creature before sectioning the meat. He wrapped it up in brown paper, tying them with twine from his rucksack. He finished taking everything from the animal after a half hour, only leaving the stomach, intestines and lungs. He stood back away from the beast for a moment, wiping his bloody hands on a parchment of moss, sighing contently. He sat for a moment on a stump, reaching into one of his pockets to pull out a set of cigars, tucking one into his mouth as he reached for a box of matches. He pulled out the yellow box of Swan Vestas, pushing it out of the cover and plucking a singular match from it as swiftly striking it against the side, placing the box back in his pocket. He pressed the flame against the end of the cigar, puffing to light it as pinkish-grey smoke billowed around him, backlit by the sun. He took in a few mouthfuls of smoke before jumping to his feet, smoke whipping about, behind him and grabbing up all the game to take back. Just before he left, having collected all of his things, he removed the head of the buck to boil down to the skull later. He left the rest to nature, feeling curious glances of birds of prey overhead as he began to make his way back.

roommate au (bc its always roommate au lol. you're just not allowed to write anything else anymore) y/n being the worst trickster/prankster/fucking menace
not like it happens often, just once in a while, but they are HEINOUS.
some ideas for you: - gluing a ton of shit down -un assembling their bed. while they sleep -oil on the floor -hair dye in their shampoo -completely removing certain, essential but only sometimes, items from the house (forks, scissors, mugs)
[-> Roommate AU brainrots]
Lmao, nonnie! 😂 I'm just glad you guys are enjoying the roommate shenanigans. I'll have to whip up a fic with this concept soon, hihi.
And this is a genius idea.
Imagine putting blue dye in Kaveh's shampoo (one that washes out after like 2 days or so, because we don't want to be too mean here <3) and then imagine he goes and blames Alhaitham for it because, of course, it couldn't have been you. Or hiding his face masks so he completely disassembles the bathroom in search of it because he needs to apply them for his daily skincare routine.
And we had this brainrot once already but it fits perfectly here as well. Imagine stealing the dust jackets from Alhaitham's books which drives him insane. Because he is sure they were just there this morning. He, too, goes to blame Kaveh. And while he stomps out of his office to scold his roommate for not putting the dust jackets back before returning the books you slip into his office to return them.
Cue more arguing between the two.
Sometimes it's funny to provoke their bickering, even if it can sometimes be annoying as well.

Speaking of, what are Val's grooming habits like?
valeriu, like most dokkalfar, is extremely fastidious in his hygiene habits. dokkalfar take bathing and cleaning very seriously, and it shows in the fact they have a pretty advanced aquaducts that spans the almost entirety of the sidhe, providing clean water to even the most remote regions of the region. bathing is a cultural keystone for the dokkalfar -- where and how you bathe, along with who you bathe with, are all indicators of power and prestige.
public bathhouses are commonly segregated by class within dokkalfar cities, but out in the wilderness, in small towns, satellite colonies and villages, there typically is only one large bathhouse for the entire community to share. personal washrooms are a luxury. dokkalfar bathhouses and washrooms contain both typical baths as well as showers.
dokkalfar antennae are very sensitive to pheromones, being their most powerful sensory organ, and so besides from typical daily bathing, dokkalfar spend a lot of time preening their antennae. they possess tiny little brush-like barbs on the ridge of their arms, allowing them to use their hands and arms to carefully 'brush' the delicate cilia of their antennae, removing debris and dust and allowing them to 'smell' better. however, they do have tools, tiny specialized brushes, used for brushing the antennae.
dokkalfar take hair-care very seriously, with long hair being a symbol of virility and freedom. vali is no exception, priding himself in his long, thick hair. he brushes his hair throughout the day to avoid tangles and knots, and he uses a variety of oils and soaps too.
bathing every day, or every other day, is common for valeriu if he has access to a place to bath. usually he will bathe in the morning if he didn't sleep in, but if he did sleep in, he will skip a bath or shower, and instead do it at night after he is finished with his work.
he hates to go more than two or three days without some form of bath, the same oils that make his skin soft and his hair luxurious also make him feel unbearably greasy and gross after a few days. in fact its considered a huge faux-pas among dokkalfar to pass up bathing for more than a day or two, as dokkalfar can definitely tell when someone has gone even a little bit without a bath. you could say uncleanliness is considered a lot more than just undesirable or lazy within dokkalfar society, its practically a taboo, considering how easily available hygienic amenities are.
most dokkalfar nobles would have their slaves/servants engage a lot more with their daily hygienic routine, but vali has just grown so used to, and very fond of, the privacy of his routine, that his servants are only involved in turning the faucets to the right temperature before he gets into the washroom. he appreciates the calm solitude that washing allows him, and he absolutely loathes it when someone else cleans him (unless of course its in a sensual way lolol--).
vali starts off his day by brushing through his hair, getting all the knots from the night before out. then he takes a shower or bath depending on how much time he has that morning. he washes his hair with expensive soaps (made from the fat and crushed ivory of the shadhavar - VERY expensive ingredients that is said to have all sorts of properties. this is combined with lye, olive oil and soapwort, and then rosemary, jasmine, and arnica is added for scent). then he applies conditioning oils and balms into his hair (typically made of argan oil or grapeseed, hawthorn, fennel, honey, aloe vera), which he lets sit while he washes his body and face, shaves, brushes his teeth, scrub under his nails, etc etc.
while hes waiting for the massive amount of conditioner to wash out of his hair, he typically goes over his body once more with some nice smelling soap (usually something floral or earthy) that will linger on his body throughout the day. when he gets out, he either dries himself quickly and gets dressed if hes in a rush, or he simply lazes down in a towel until hes dry if hes not. it takes forever for his hair to dry, so he often utilizes a heat spell to act as a sort of magical hair dryer.
he uses lotions/creams to his skin (even though one might argue that with his skin type and the climate he lives in, he doesnt need it. its a luxury thing), and anoints himself with oils to act as perfume (he usually uses scents like sandalwood, jasmine, ylang-ylang and frankincense.) vali applies make up almost every single day, especially if he is working or planning on coming face to face with practically anyone who is not his servants. he uses a mix of oil or shadhavar fat and soot/charcoal aka kohl as eyeliner and mascara. he sometimes dyes his lips red with lip balm made from the red color of brushed carmine beetle carapaces. its very fashionable in dokkalfar society to have thick eyebrows, and valeriu already has that covered, but sometimes he uses the kohl as a way to fill in his eyebrows a little bit, in an attempt to cover up his scar. AND THEN...AND ONLY THEN...IS HE AT ALL READY...TO HAVE BREAKFAST

CPAP Cleaning Supplies: The Key To A Spotless Home And Healthy Sleep
Tumblr media
Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) therapy is a critical treatment for those suffering from sleep apnea, a condition where breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep. While CPAP machines are essential for ensuring restful sleep, maintaining the cleanliness of the equipment is equally important. Proper cleaning not only prolongs the lifespan of your CPAP machine but also prevents infections and ensures optimal therapy. Here’s a guide on CPAP cleaning supplies and their role in keeping both your machine and home spotless.
Why Cleaning Your CPAP Machine Is Crucial
Prevention of Infections CPAP machines have various components, such as the mask, tubing, and humidifier, that can harbor bacteria, mold, and other pathogens if not cleaned regularly. These can lead to respiratory infections, sinus issues, and other health complications.
Ensuring Optimal Performance A clean CPAP machine functions more effectively, ensuring that air pressure is delivered consistently. Dust, oils, and other debris can obstruct the airflow, reducing the machine’s efficiency and compromising your treatment.
Prolonging Equipment Lifespan Regular cleaning prevents wear and tear on the CPAP components, reducing the likelihood of malfunctions and extending the life of the machine. This can save you money on repairs or replacements in the long run.
Essential CPAP Cleaning Supplies
CPAP Mask Wipes
These wipes are designed specifically for cleaning the mask, which comes into direct contact with your face. They remove oils, dirt, and residue without leaving any harmful chemicals behind, ensuring a clean and comfortable fit each night.
Regular use of CPAP mask wipes prevents the buildup of grime, which can cause skin irritation and reduce the effectiveness of the mask seal.
CPAP Tube Cleaning Brush
The tubing that connects the mask to the machine can accumulate moisture, leading to the growth of mold and bacteria. A CPAP tube cleaning brush is essential for reaching the interior of the tube and scrubbing away any residue.
These brushes are typically flexible and designed to fit various tube sizes, making them a versatile tool for maintaining your CPAP system.
CPAP Sanitizing Machine
For a more thorough cleaning, a CPAP sanitizing machine uses ozone or ultraviolet (UV) light to disinfect the mask, tubing, and humidifier chamber. These machines kill 99.9% of bacteria, viruses, and mold without the need for water or harsh chemicals.
Using a CPAP sanitizing machine is convenient and ensures that your equipment is consistently clean, reducing the risk of contamination.
CPAP Cleaning Solution
CPAP-specific cleaning solutions are available for washing the mask, tubing, and humidifier. These solutions are formulated to be gentle yet effective, breaking down any buildup without damaging the equipment.
It’s important to avoid using household cleaners or soaps, as these can leave harmful residues that may irritate your respiratory system.
Humidifier Cleaning Tablets
The humidifier chamber in your CPAP machine can develop mineral deposits over time, particularly if you use tap water. Humidifier cleaning tablets dissolve these deposits and disinfect the chamber, ensuring that the humidified air remains clean.
Regular use of these tablets helps maintain the efficiency of the humidifier, preventing the spread of contaminants through the air you breathe.
Best Practices For CPAP Cleaning
Daily Maintenance
Clean your mask and tubing daily using CPAP mask wipes and a tube cleaning brush. This prevents the buildup of oils and moisture, ensuring that your equipment remains hygienic and functional.
Weekly Deep Cleaning
Perform a deep clean of all components, including the mask, tubing, and humidifier, at least once a week. Use CPAP cleaning solutions and sanitizing machines to eliminate any bacteria or mold that may have developed.
Replace Supplies Regularly
Replace your CPAP supplies as recommended by the manufacturer. Masks and tubing should generally be replaced every 3-6 months, while filters and humidifier chambers may need replacing more frequently.
Conclusion
Maintaining a clean CPAP machine is essential for both the effectiveness of your sleep apnea treatment and your overall health. By investing in the right CPAP cleaning supplies and following a regular cleaning routine, you can ensure that your machine remains in top condition, providing you with safe, comfortable, and effective therapy. A spotless CPAP machine also contributes to a cleaner home environment, allowing you to breathe easy, both day and night.

Top 5 Skin Care Products You Must Buy In the Summer
Your skin is prone to pollution, dust, dirt and much more. It needs care and attention to stay healthy and glowing. The skin condition changes in different seasons. The skin care products and procedures also need to change accordingly. Summertime means more sweat and pollution.
The harmful UV rays of the sun cause immense damage to the skin barrier. In such a situation, you need products that address these issues and offer gentle care and protection. This article details five skincare essentials for the summer to help you achieve glowing summer skin.
5 Skin Care Products Must For Summer
1. A Good Sunscreen for Complete Protection
Sunscreen is one skin care product that you should have. It is something you should use all year round. In summer, it is non-negotiable. Your skin is shielded by it from UVA and UVB beams.
Applying sunscreen is fundamental whether you invest a ton of time outside for relaxation or business. Long-term sun exposure causes tanning, burns from the sun, sun spots, and early signs of ageing.
Various sorts of sunscreen are available on the market in terms of skin type and form. In the event that you have dry skin, pick a moisturising sunscreen. In the event that you have oily skin, pick a mattifying sunscreen. You can get sunscreens such as creams, sunsticks, and compressed powders.
It is critical to apply sunscreen even when you are inside during summer. While going out, apply it after your moisturising cream, and afterward, use your makeup if necessary. There are additionally tinted sunscreens accessible from premium skin care brands that go about as both makeup and sunscreen.
2. A Deep Cleanser to Remove all Dirt and Pollution
Dirt and dust accumulate on your skin at all times. During summer, this issue increases even more. It is therefore important to buy a good quality cleanser to remove all dust and impurities clogged in your pores. It also prevents fungal and bacterial infections.
Choose a cleanser that is gentle and deep-cleansing. Look for organic products that are not heavy on chemicals. It is essential to cleanse your face two times a day. You can also choose a face wash if you have very oily skin. Working professionals can carry cleansing pads to clean their faces when needed in a convenient way.  You can find some of the best skin care products in UAE, including top-end cleansers at affordable rates, using coupons from Dealsandcouponsmena.
3. A Soothing Toner for Rejuvenate the Skin
Your skin goes through a lot during summer. Moreover, if you need to use makeup on a daily, the cleansing routine can sometimes be a bit harsh for the skin. Your skin also produces more oil during summer. It clogs the pores and is a major cause of acne and pimples.
A toner is one skin care product that addresses a number of summer-based skin concerns. It tightens and reduces the appearance of pores. It also helps control excess oil production. The best skin care toner will also hydrate the skin and balance its pH level. Sometimes, dust and makeup residue remain even after cleaning. A toner helps remove that as well.
Use a toner after cleaning both during the morning and at night to achieve smooth and healthy skin. Look for toners that have aloe vera, witch hazel, green tea, rose water, hyaluronic acid and salicylic acid in their ingredient list.
4. A Hydrating Moisturiser to Pamper the Skin
You feel way more thirsty during summer and crave those watermelon coolers. Just like you, your skin also needs some extra hydration. The heat during summertime often messes up the moisture balance of your skin. A moisturiser is one of the skin care products that can help resolve this issue.
However, summer moisturisers and winter moisturisers are not the same. For summer, go for gel-based lightweight moisturisers that have a mattifying effect. It will lock in the necessary hydration and prevent excess oil buildup. It also acts as a barrier against pollution and UV rays.
Use a moisturiser as the last skin care step before sunscreen. It will soothe your skin and prevent redness, irritation, flakiness, and inflammation.
5. A Skin Serum Based on Your Concern
A good serum offers an additional layer of hydration and protection during summer. There are different types of serums in the market with different compositions. Each addresses a different concern. Some top serums you can use during summer are:
Hyaluronic Acid Serum: It offers hydration and plumpness. It also gives the skin an instant glow. A hyaluronic acid helps prevent excess oil production and prevents the onset of pimples.
Vitamin C Serum: It helps prevent hyperpigmentation and removes dark spots caused by sun exposure. Vitamin C serums also have skin-brightening and collagen-promoting abilities.
Niacinamide Serum:  A niacinamide serum prevents early signs of ageing like wrinkles. It also reduces the appearance of dark spots and blemishes. It strengthens the lipid barrier of the skin and offers sun protection as well.
You can use any serum or alternate between two or three, using one daily. While serums take some time to show results, the outcomes are worth the wait. Moreover, the more intense composition ensures a deeper level of repair, which guarantees long-standing results. It is best to use serums at night as the last step of skincare.
A Few Key Things to Remember
Skin care is not just about applying products. Your lifestyle plays a major role in how your skin feels and looks. During summer, make it a habit to drink plenty of water. Also, incorporate fruits and vegetables with high water content like cucumbers and watermelons.
Steer clear of oily and spicy food that heat your body. Also, detox drinks like chia seed water and lemon water can cool your body and give it the necessary energy. Limit your air conditioner time since prolonged AC exposure dries out your skin as well.
Final Words
Investing in the best skin care products is an investment for your own skin and health. Skin care during summer can be done with just the five products mentioned in the post to achieve healthy and glowing skin. The process is simple and will not take more than 10 to 15 minutes. Remember, each step is necessary, and it is vital to follow a routine to get the best results.
