my ring splints arrived today! made from titanium so i dont have an allergic reaction :) theyre MOSTLY perfect. two were too small (hence the middle finger being nakey) so i either need new ones or a resize for the same finger on both hands.

hiii! i got them from this wonderful small business called zebra splints. the owner is someone who also has hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome and handmakes the splints.

because they are high quality and handmade they will end up becoming very pricey if you need them for more than just a couple of joints, and depending on the material and add ons (i had to get add ons for each of mine bc of the multiple ways my fingers sublux/dislocate and had to get titanium due to allergies). i would recommend getting a cheap plastic us ring sizer from amazon or something so you can get the exact sizes you need. i didnt do this and the sizing is just very slightly off on most of them 😭

it also seems like theyre having a summer sale atm which would be helpful with the pricing. if you have any other questions about them lemme know 💚

The only issue with baclofen is that when my muscles aren't horrifically tense to the point of spasm all the time, my joints start slipping out of their sockets a little bit. For example my thumb and my pinky finger have already gotten partially dislocated just from the way I hold my phone. So I should probably invest in some splints. And another thing, don't put it in the paper that I have EDS, I don't have EDS--

Trying my pointer finger on my left hand

A uh, surprising difference. I know mine isn’t as bad as a lot of people, but it still causes a lot of pain. The right hand is going to be really difficult tho ngl and that one gives me the most pain

Made a couple splits. Trying to figure out how to make one for the base of my thumbs. My mother inlaw did get me compression gloves tho so that may help when those come in.

Hoping it all helps. I don’t think I quite have it down yet with the rings I made. I still have wire left so I can try a couple designs I saw
