The women’s gymnastics floor routine is always so funny because they’re clearly 1000% focused on their tumble routines aka the things they’ve trained their whole lives for and are being scored on, but in between those they gotta do their little mandated dance breaks. Go to your corner and mentally prepare to do 8 whole flips but first, mandatory 10 second dance break.

#Olympics #it’s the sexism #they don’t make the men dance #on one hand it seems patronizing to make Simone Biles do dance moves between her tumbles #but on the other hand mens floor routines are so boring that nobody cares #so maybe it should be like figure skating and they both have to dance #or they both have a dancing and non dancing floor routine option

hiiiii it's olympic season so i was wondering what would would think each titan would do for the olympics. i mean there are a lot of fairly obvious ones but i'm curious either way :3c

my only thought is that team usa would beg on their hands and knees to get dick grayson on the pommel horse and that petty asshole would turn around and compete in ice curling instead

nola matthews floor is truly THE exemplary routine for artistry. so few gymnasts have the skill in body control, extension, tempo, and connection to the music and choreo that she has. it’s such a breath of fresh air in a country has completely neglected to take dance seriously in the sport

I have partly cracked the code with yesterday's baby: he is Also an introvert and Also doesn't want eyes and attention on him for 5 hours straight

#literally he can last twice as long in a location (stroller or floor or jumper) if i'm looking at something else #and check in with a smile and sounds every minute or so #adventures in babysitting #it does feel like the Lord's mercy. and also! gives me more hope for oldest/only children #oh yeah it's the same baby as yesterday. i am watching him 5 times in 8 days #time to build some comfortable routines!
