18+ MINORS AND THOSE WITHOUT AGE IN BIO DNI
warnings: Flynn freaks out a little, bats, ghosts
Humming to myself, I strung up the garland above the card catalog. Jenkins watched me carefully from the other side of the table.
“I really don’t see the need…” he started. I sighed and looked at him over my shoulder.
“not this again Jenkins.” I groaned. “There’s no need. Just a want. And the want is to be festive.” I turned on the chair and looked at him. “So I hang the bats and everyone gets in the Halloween spirit. And you keep your mouth shut.” Jenkins sighed before going back to his book. The chair wobbled below me. Rolling my eyes, I went to turn back to the garland when the chair tilted to the side. I cried out as I started to fall. Jenkins looked up at the noise. I fell backwards and yelped as I felt a strong body behind me rather than the floor. Opening my eyes, I looked over my shoulder to see Flynn holding me up with smile. “Thanks!” I chirped as he helped me back to my feet on the ground.
“Anytime.” He kissed my cheek before walking around the table to flip through a book Jenkins had put down. I shared a look with Jenkins at Flynn’s obliviousness. “What were you doing up there anyway?”
“hanging Halloween decorations.” I said with a smile. I climbed back on the chair and continued hanging the garland. Flynn hummed before striking up a conversation with Jenkins that I tuned out. “And done!” I exclaimed as I tied off the end of the garland. Flynn walked over and helped me down from the chair.
“Looks….” Flynn broke off as he finally looked at the garland. “Bats.” He whimpered. Looking over at me, Flynn gave me an uneasy smile. “It’s bats.” I nodded.
“it’s freaking bats!” I exclaimed. Flynn nodded slowly. His eyes widened slightly. “Everything ok Flynn?” I asked, turning to gently push some hair out of his face.
“I just…” a few beats before he turned to look at me, eyes slightly wide. “I don’t like bats.” He smiled at me with a weak laugh. “Kind of silly isn’t. Of all the things to be scared of. Bats.” He waved vaguely at the garland. I nodded slowly and went to take them down. “No! It’s fine!” Flynn grabbed my arm and jerked me back slightly.
“But Flynn…” he cut me off with a kiss. I pulled back with a frown. “I can…” Flynn kissed me again. Jenkins made a disgruntled noise behind us and I pulled away. “Jenkins is going to throw something at you if you keep doing that.” Jenkins hummed in agreement as Flynn chuckled.
“I’ll be alright. As long as there aren’t any semi real ghosts hidden somewhere.” I shared a look with Jenkins, knowing that jake had somehow been able to rig something up in the library.
“uh…” I trailed off as Flynn broke away from me to head into the library. “Flynn don’t!” I called as he opened the door to the library.
“don’t…whaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!” Flynn screamed as the ghost flew past. I could hear jake yelling triumphantly in the library as i ran over to hug Flynn.
“I’m sorry.” I whispered as he shook. “I’m sorry. I didn’t know.” Flynn wrapped his arm around me and stared into the library.
“stone!” He yelled as he stopped shaking. Flynn marched into the library and I trailed behind him, ready to dismantle the rig as Flynn ripped jake a new one.

Librarians
Imagine a magic library appoints some guy to be its keeper, then after a while realises the task has made him a strange and lonely man whose only friend is a sentient sword. Aiming to fix this, the library appoints a gaggle of likeminded yet very different people for him to interact with. The cast consists of: Flynn Carsen, the afformented man whose best friend is a sword and who thinks a day without an Indiana Jones style adventure is a day wasted. Eve Baird, a woman raised to be a soldier suddenly thrown into a world of wonder, magic and dangers she knows nothing of, now tasked with keeping 4 eccentric, genius minds from being killed by their curiosity. Cassandra Cillian, a math whiz genius who's lived an isolated life from being put on a pedestal as a child, who has since been diagnosed with brain cancer and is desperately trying to live life to the fullest for as long as she can. Dresses like Ms. Frizzle. Jacob Stone, yeehaw cowboy dude who publishes his groundbreaking art and architecture history papers under a pen name because he knows his yeehaw cowboy family wouldn't approve. He's got the brains AND brawn. Ezekiel Jones, Australian techie and professional thief. The guy lived the Carmen Sandiego life before being recruited. Tries to act tough and morally grey but is genuinely the least selfish out of them all. Youngest Sibling Vibes are Off the Chart. Jenkins aka. the actual sir. Galahad from the Arthurian legend is here also. He's just some grumpy immortal grandpa don't worry about it. They're all just a bunch of nerdy adults who didn't have any friends or loving families growing up who find themselves living the life they dreamed about as children and it doesn't take long for them to consider each other, and the library, home.

@emonydeborah and @leveragedlibrarians I created a character profile for Alexandria!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Full name: Alexandria Stone.
Nicknames: Alex, Allie, "Pebbles", Andria
Relative(s): Jacob Stone (father), Athena (mother), Eve Baird ("aunt"/mother figure), Flynn Carsen ("uncle"), Ezekiel Jones ("uncle"), Jenkins ("grandfather"), Cassandra Cillian ("aunt"), Isaac Stone (grandfather), Unspecified number of paternal cousins.
Affiliation: The Library, The Librarians
Occupation: Librarian in Training, Sculptor, College student (online)
Status: Alive [Immortal]
First appearance: And the Brainchild
Portrayed by: Josephine Langford.
Alexandria Stone is the demigod daughter of Librarian, Jacob Stone, and the goddess Athena.
History
And the Spear of Athena. In the reset timeline, the Library is tethered and the Librarians have a moment of respite. Until the clipping book sends them on a quest to recover Athena's lost spear. Their success in the mission catches the eye of the goddess herself. Though it is Jake specifically who has Athena's affection.
And the Brainchild. Set between And the Steal of Fortune and And the Christmas Thief. The Librarians come into the Annex one morning to find a newborn baby girl wrapped in linen and wool in woven basket. There's a note, in Greek, addressed to Jake. The baby is a gift from Athena, concieved from her divine thoughts and Jake's ingenuity. Jake calls his new daughter Alexandria after the lost library of. After reaching physical maturity, around 20 or so, Alex became immortal.
Personality
Alexandria is a polymath with a IQ of 260. She spent most of her time in the Library, getting lost among the endless rows of bookshelves. Jake would often find Allie, sitting on top of the shelves which she used to climb up on when she was a child. She is incredibly stubborn and fearless.
Abilities
Invulnerability. Alexandria is immune to all physical harm.
Genius level intellect. The daughter of a genius and the goddess of wisdom, Andria possess a mind that far surpasses that of a mortal. As a kid, she was bullied by her school peers because of her intelligence. The bullying became so bad that she was pulled from school and was instead homeschooled in the Library.
Skilled hand-to-hand combat/Martial artist. Starting at the age of 8, Alex was trained by Jake and Eve in self-defense and later in martial arts.
Telumkinesis. As a demigodess of war, Alex possess the magical ability to adapt to using any weapon.
Ley line weaving. Imagine that ley lines are composed of billions of "threads" of magical energy. Alexandria can weave those "threads" together to cast various spells.
Enhanced Physical Prowess. She has enhanced strength, durability, and swiftness
Craftsmanship. Alexandria is a very skilled sculptor and at pottery.
Relationships
Jacob Stone. He is Alexandria's father. At the beginning, he was very unsure of his ability to be a good father. But he took it one day at a time. Jake and Allie are very close and have a loving relationship. Allie was given the nickname "Pebbles" because she "is a small Stone." She shares a lot of similarities with her father and looks very much like him. They disagree over her future at the Library. Alexandria has dreamt and prepared her entire life to be a Librarian. Jake isn't necessarily against it, but he does want her to half a normal life outside of the Library. At least for a time before she receives her letter. He wants her to go to university and have experiences.
Eve Baird. Affectionately called "Aunt Eve," she is seen as a mother figure by Alex. Aside from Jake, Eve had the biggest hand in raising Alex.
Jenkins. Considered to be Alexandria's honorary grandfather. He has been a teacher, a guide, and a friend to Alex all her life.
Flynn Carsen. Alex has always enjoyed Flynn's company and beating him at chest.
Ezekiel Jones. Though Flynn is the fun uncle, Ezekiel holds the position of favorite uncle. (Though Flynn doesn't know that, he believes he's the favorite). Alex has been Ezekiel's partner in mischief since before she could walk.
Cassandra Cillian. Their relationship had a rocky start due to Cassandra's dislike of babies. The noises and the smells were just too much for Cassandra's synesthesia. But thinks got better when Alex was around 3. Alexandria began showing strong mathematical abilities far above her age. Cassandra became a tutor of math and science. When Alexandria developed magical powers and felt that they were too much, too big, Cassandra became an understanding ear and mentor.
Athena. Alexandria's mother, whom she's never met. She has received gifts from Athena which she keeps locked in a chest at the foot of her bad.
Isaac Stone. Alex's paternal grandfather. She met him once and he insulted her father. So she threw him threw a wall. She was 15 at the time.

“    uh, luce, this isn’t...    ”    now he had done it!   flynn carsen, absolute fool, who knew all the odds but somehow beat them by stuffing his foot in his mouth more often than should be possible or legal.     how did he not realize that coming home with two tickets to paris might lead his beautiful and romantic girlfriend to think he was taking her on a surprise trip to the city of love?     “    you see, charlene doesn’t believe in messengers, or paying them...    so she asked me pick them up, uh, i’m going tomorrow.    ”    the other ticket was for a large artifact the library was returning to a museum in paris after making sure it did not hold any magical abilities.    “    i wish i was taking you.    ”
Tumblr media
with @wcstenra there, a boring, clerical trip, which he is pretty sure is not in his job description, but that’s a conversation for another day, would be transformed into a magical adventure.   he can imagine them walking hand-in-hand all over town, ducking into bookshops to try and find a rare first edition, tasting every pastry in a bakery, kissing as the sun set over the river sene.    “    it’s gonna be a boring trip, boring, boring, boring.    ”

“I want to learn.” You announced.
Flynn looked at you in confusion, “What do you mean?”
“I mean, sliding down the railing. It looks like so much fun. Please teach me?” You asked lightly.
Flynn smiled, “Anything for you.”
“Thank you.”

18+ MINORS AND THOSE WITHOUT AGE IN BIO DNI
tags: @illiana-mystery, @cassieuncaged
warnings: swearing, mention of blood and menstruation
I sat in the chair Jenkins had brought into the annex, knees tucked up to my chest as I looked over the information Cassandra had brought in. The clippings book lay open on her most recent mission. It had been quiet since she got back. Everyone finally had a moment to relax. The pain in my gut made me lean my head against my knees. A soft hand on my back made me breathe out shakily.
“I’m ok.” I said, lifting my head to meet jenkins’ eye. “I’m ok.” He nodded as Flynn came bounding into the room.
“Hello.” He said, smiling at Jenkins and kissing me on the cheek. I gave him a shaky smile as Jenkins withdrew to his section of the table.
“hi.” I whispered as Flynn perched on the arm of the chair. “What’s got you back so soon? Thought you were still looking for the library.” He shrugged as he tried to get me to lean into him. Instead, I winced and got up quickly. Realizing my mistake, I wrapped my arms around myself and hurried off to the bathroom. I could just hear Flynn ask Jenkins what was wrong with me.
“they’ve been in so much pain they’re nauseous.” I heard Jenkins say. I made it to the bathroom and pulled the trash can closer just in case. I inspected my jeans as I sat on the toilet, willing everything to stop. I frowned when I saw a patch of red on my underwear and slowly shuffled my way out of the soiled garments. Opening the door under the sink, I smiled to myself to see the replacement pairs the annex knew I needed.
“thanks.” I whispered to the empty room. After the pain and nausea had passed, I left the bathroom and made my way back. “Sorry.” I muttered as I took up my previous position. Flynn wrapped his arms around me from behind and kissed my head. Jenkins smiled softly at me and left the room.
“I’m going to say it aloud. Since we both know it.” Flynn started. “I don’t have much experience with this. My relationships never really turned this serious or lasted long enough that I…” he cleared his throat awkwardly. I rubbed his hand where it rested on my collarbone. “Jenkins filled me in. Why are you still working here if you are in that much pain? Go home. I would have come to you.”
“everyone else needed me.” I responded. “Jake is checking into something on his own. Ezekiel needs someone to stop him from stealing every priceless artifact. Cassandra…” I trailed off. “Jenkins always needs help cataloging and researching. Eve went off looking for you. And you…” Flynn kissed my head. “Someone had to be here to keep the light burning.”
“we’re going home.” He said softly. “Come on. Jenkins already fixed the door.” I took his hand and stood up slowly. “You’re going to have to help me through your routine and making sure that you feel ok. But I’m willing to do whatever it takes to help.” I nodded as Flynn set the dial and our apartment appeared on the other side of the door.
“thank you.” I muttered as Flynn and I walked through, being forced to bed as soon as we closed the door. Flynn kissed me softly again before running off to get whatever it was Jenkins had told him would help.

somewhere there is meta about how Flynn Carsen is so much like the Doctor in his recent iterations, from the shoes and the suit to the petulance and the babbling brilliance.
and somewhere else there is meta about how Ezekiel Jones is who the Doctor could be, still doing whatever seems fun and interfering when there’s children crying, but less timelord victorious, less lonely god.

Fanfic Idea
So I have an idea for a collection of summery stories for the premise of “What if (BLANK) raised Harry?”. I know this has been done several times over in various formats and set ups within the fandom, but when has that ever stopped any of us? These summaries/outlines would be open for adoption for any one that feels inspired by the ‘chapters’.
So far, I have:
Spuffy - Spike cursing the wixen sixteen ways from Sunday and Buffy deadpanning that prophecies aren't useful in the least when it comes to chosen destinies, just both of them being highly unimpressed by what goes on in the Wizarding World
The Librarians - just Harry being raised in the The Library around magic, mayhem, history, and the antics of his Dad(head Librarian Flynn Carsen) Mom (Eve Baird, Librarian wrangler) and aunt/uncles (Cassandra, Jacob, and Ezekiel). I feel like in this scenario he'd have a very different understanding of magic and be almost constantly irritated by the perceptions of at least the British WW.
Supercorp - Honestly, just imagine how Lena would handle Dumbledore trying to manipulate Harry. Plus, you’d have all of the mundane-born and -raised having some knowledge of aliens and heroes (possibly some of them and their families would be looking into them having previously unknown alien ancestry) while at least the British WW would think that the mundanes had simply made it all up. In my headcanon for this, Kara would have some immunity to mind-magics that didn’t affect emotions just like J’onn can’t read her mind but Psy could affect her fear synapses.
SwanQueen - I see your ‘Dark Lord’ and Raise you a (reformed) ‘Evil Queen’. Between Regina and Emma plus their extended family, the WW doesn’t stand a chance, that’s if after First Year Harry doesn’t simply abscond with his friends back home. I want to introduce Zelena to the Twins and Moody. I want to see Regina smiting Tom Riddle like he’s a child throwing a tantrum. I see Emma knowing a lot of ways to punish the purebloods with mundane tasks for their crimes, helping Harry and friends setting those punishments up as pranks. Henry just twirling a random quill, knowing smirk on his face as he can threaten to write them into being his minions or some such thing. Red leading a werewolf civil rights revolt and taking down Umbridge.
Batman/Bruce Wayne - Going to be honest, I am a bit surprised that I haven’t come across any fics with this one. Harry’s got black hair and green eyes (just like Damian), if he’s three or four when adopted by Bruce then the tiny scared little kid is going to snapped up faster than the Dursley’s can sign the paper work or go to jail for child abuse. Out of all of them, I feel like this would be where non-Gryffindor Harry would come into play best because of the sheer amount of information Harry would know or at least have access to (Alfred is a wizard in my headcanon).
Geralt and Yennefer - with Ciri and Jaskier/Dandelion on hand of course. So many heads to bash together or in.... Yennefer amusing herself with making the ‘purebloods’ into her playthings (Death Eaters specifically). I can see the Goblins playing a huge role here, since they would either wish to test their skill and strength against that of a Witcher or have respect for the profession. My headcanon for this is that one of the pair has been cursed/gifted with immortality and the other (because of Geralt’s wish) is along for the ride. So they’ve seen and done a lot over the centuries. In other words, Harry (aside from what he absolutely has to do) gets to be a kid while his parents take care of the adult level problems.
The crew of Leverage - Parker sees him get hurt and steals him, the rest aren’t going to put a kid back into an abusive home. Hardison works his magic and boom, congratulations it’s a boy. I feel like this would result in either a Slytherin or Hufflepuff Harry.
A few other ideas I have that aren’t really more than ‘huh, that would be interesting’ are:
Harley Quinn/Poison Ivy
The Doctor (any Doctor really, but my headcanons typically revolve around 9, 12, and 13 usually with Rose Tyler and other companions)
Howl and Sophie from Howl’s Moving Castle
Vampires/Werefolk of no particular vein, but there are plenty to choose from or create your own. Goodness knows that HP barely touched on vampires and the author’s take on Werewolves is worse than sparkling vampires.
Adora/Catra from She-ra
Xena/Gabriele
Dragons a la Elvenbane by Mercedes Lackey (excellent trilogy, if you like either the fantasy genre or the Author in general highly suggest it for a read)
A perfectly normal couple who happen to be REALLY into fantasy and RPGs and LARPs. They use their hobbies to connect with their new child, and when weird things happen...oh well.
Grog, not the rest of VM, just Grog
Beau/Yasha
Castle/Beckett

Show Recommendations
Grimm
Platform: Amazon Prime
Official overview: Portland detective Nick Burkhardt, descended from a long line of warriors known as Grimms, defends his city from magical creatures known as Wesen, which are part human and part animal. Fighting alongside his partner, Hank, colleague Sergeant Wu and friends Monroe and Rosalee, Nick faces off against internal and external forces, including his police captain, Sean Renard.
My overview: Portland detective Nick Burkhardt thinks he's going insane when he randomly starts seeing monsters at the time his aunt goes into a coma. Turns out he's not, in fact, going crazy. He deals with shit trying to kill him and his girlfriend and friends CONSTANTLY and in reality all he wants to do his keep his city safe, and he accidentally saves the world in the process.
Thoughts on the show: I love it, it does have a habit of setting up for recurring characters and then never mentioning them again, so that's annoying. There are 6 seasons. There are some great romances in the show, and also some iffy ones, but the iffy ones are definitely regarded as such in the show, and eventually either develop past the weird stage or die before anymore harm can be done. Aired from 2011 to 2017
Thoughts on the fandom: Wayyyy too small, I know of 0 people around my age who like it, and 90% of the fan base is obsessed with Sasha Roiz who plays Sean Renard (not that I'm judging). Definitely not enough fics out there, and the ones that I've found seem to be poorly written or basically just pwp.
Warehouse 13
Platform: Amazon Prime
Official overview: Following an abrupt transfer, Secret Service agents Pete Lattimer and Myka Bering find themselves in the middle of South Dakota at a massive, top-secret storage warehouse that holds every strange artifact, mysterious relic, out-of-this-world object and supernatural souvenir ever found by the U.S. government. Lattimer and Bering's new task, as directed by the warehouse's caretaker, longtime agent Artie Nielsen, is to investigate reports of unexplainable and paranormal activity in an effort to secure more peculiar and dangerous objects, and to help Artie manage the warehouse itself.
My overview: imagine the TARDIS except it's a warehouse and not a police box (bigger on the inside) and it's full of cursed objects to be kept there so it doesn't destroy the world.
Thoughts on the show: I love it. It accurately depicts trauma and has decent representation such as a black woman everyone is intimidated by because she's the boss, a gay man who isn't sexualized and has development and a personality other than "gay". There is even an incredibly homoerotic friendship between two women that the actress of said women played up because they wanted their characters together, even if one turned out to be not-so-good. The show deals with sexism and victims of neglect. You'll learn a lot of random history while watching the show as all of the artifacts tend to be historically based (the guillotine blade that cut of Marie Antoinette's head, for instance). There are 5 seasons and I'm s3 or 4. Apparently the show does something weird with Pete and Myka at the end, which probably means they get together. Ran 2009 to 2014.
Thoughts on the fandom: again, way too small, although a lot bigger than Grimm. There are quite a few fics out there, mainly for the two women which I ship with my whole heart. There might be some controversy with Eddie McClintock (Pete Lattimer) but I'm not very well-versed in it. I wish Grimm's fandom was as big as W13's.
The Umbrella Academy
Platform: Netflix
Official overview: On one day in 1989, 43 infants are inexplicably born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the day before. Seven are adopted by billionaire industrialist Sir Reginald Hargreeves, who creates the Umbrella Academy and prepares his "children" to save the world. In their teenage years, though, the family fractures and the team disbands. Fast forward to the present time, when the six surviving members of the clan reunite upon the news of Hargreeves' passing. They work together to solve a mystery surrounding their father's death, but divergent personalities and abilities again pull the estranged family apart, and a global apocalypse is another imminent threat. The series is based on a collection of comics and graphic novels created and written by My Chemical Romance lead singer Gerard Way.
My overview: adult survivors of abuse with increasingly weird/out-there superpowers due to the weird circumstances of their birth come together to celebrate *cough* I mean mourn the passing of their "father" And accidentally cause the apocalypse.
Thoughts on the show: I love it. I've finished season 2,currenfly there are only 2 seasons, it's still in progress, I love it. I'm sure most of you have already watched it because what is the supernatural fandom if not emo? Also a good one for representation. Mexican man with a stutter, black woman with a daughter she is in a custody battle for, gay druggie veteran, Ellen Page, Asian ghost boy, 58 year old man in a 13 year old's body, and a half-chimp man.
Thoughts on the fandom: big. Big big big. Haven't found any fics that cater to my specific wants in a fic, but there are fics. Some of them have weird pairings, but since the show made two (adopted) siblings canon, I can't exactly blame them.
Lost Girl
Platform: I actually have no idea
Official overview: Bo is a small-town girl on the run after a disastrous sexual encounter with her boyfriend ends with his death. Bo learns that she is not human, but a succubus, who feeds on the sexual energy of humans. She and her kind are members of the Fae, creatures of legend, who walk among humans and feed off them in different ways. As she searches for the truth about her origins and runs from her inhuman urges, she vows to help those she meets along the way -- human or Fae -- who need to right a wrong.
My overview: bisexual woman finds out she's a succubus and she has to choose to be either good Fae or bad Fae (I think it's light vs dark but it's been a Hot Minute) she has a thing with a werewolf and also a thing with a Fae doctor who is human and a woman.
Thoughts on the show: it's good, 5 seasons, don't think I've finished the first season. Back when I started watching it it was on Netflix and has since been removed. It's on Vudo but it costs money which is bullshit. It's a little weird at first, but I like it. Ran 2010 to 2015.
Thoughts on the fandom: have not interacted with the fandom for fear of spoilers. I'd imagine this show's fandom is about the size of Grimm.
Being Human (USA version)
Platform: again, I don't know.
Official overview: "Being Human," based on a BBC series of the same name, features three 20-something roommates who each try to keep a secret from the rest of the world -- one is a ghost, another is a vampire and the third is a werewolf. The three roomies try to help one another navigate the complexities of living double lives.
My overview: again, weird starts off in almost the middle of the story. It deals with abuse, death, fighting urges, dealing with past sins, and, well, being human. The characters are Sally (Ghost) Aidan (vampire) and Josh (werewolf). The three of them are trying to live like normal, Aidan and Josh as workers at the local hospital as Sally works to deal with her death.
Thoughts on the show: I love it I just wish I could find it on a reliable site, again, it's on Vudo but it costs money. It definitely had the set up for a good mlm relationship but from what I've gathered they end up forcing heterosexuality.
Thoughts on the fandom: again, too small, roughly the size of Grimm. I have seen 0 fics.
The Librarians
Platform: Hulu I do so believe
Official overview: Cued by TNT's popular 'The Librarian' trilogy, this series introduces new members of an ancient group protecting mystical artefacts. Hidden below the Metropolitan Public Library, the secret society's longtime leader is Flynn Carsen, whose job has become very complicated. To help, the Library recruits Eve, a counterterrorism agent responsible for organizational security; Jacob, who has encyclopedic knowledge of art, architecture and history; Cassandra, who links auditory/sensory hallucinations to memory; and Ezekiel, a skilled thief and master technician. Overseeing them is Jenkins, the reclusive caretaker of the Library's sleepy little outpost in Oregon. Noah Wyle executive produces and recurs as Flynn, the role he played in the movie series.
My overview: very similar to W13. This time imagine the Bunker, and the Warehouse, and boom, you've got the Library.
Thoughts on the show: good! I love it, I just found out it was on Hulu and am going to be binging it as soon as I finish Grimm and Warehouse. I'd love to see a crossover between W13 and The Librarians I feel like they'd have a feud.
Thoughts on the fandom: probably the same size as W13 if not bigger as the series came from movies. Again, haven't finished the series so I haven't interacted with the fandom.
Eureka
Platform: Amazon Prime
Official overview: In the years since World War II, the U.S. government has been relocating the world's geniuses (and their families) to the Pacific Northwest town of Eureka. Daily life there shifts between amazing innovation and total chaos. U.S. Marshal Jack Carter learns this first-hand when his car breaks down in Eureka, stranding him among the town's eccentric citizens. When they unleash a scientific creation still unknown to the outside world, it's up to Carter to restore order. Subsequently, he's let in on one of America's best-kept secrets.
My overview: a small town but make every person a genius. Has some crossover with Warehouse 13, they exist in the same universe.
Thoughts on the show: I love it so far. Just the kind of weird shit I enjoy.
Thoughts on the fandom: I'd imagine about the size of Warehouse 13's but I've yet to interact considering I'm still in season 1.

128 Minhyuk
Misc AU: CEO/secretary
You’ve found it. It’s absolute perfect in every way. Just one last thing.
You press the intercom button on your desk phone. “Minhyuk, would you mind coming in please?”
His “Right away” is so quick, you wonder if he was waiting for you. Then again, that’s why you’d hired Minhyuk. Of the all the secretaries you’d hired on trial periods, he was the most attentive, the most observant, the quickest to anticipate what you need before you need it. He’s also a perfectionist, just like you. There’s no slacking in your office, your company, or any other related aspect of your life, all in no small part due to Minhyuk.
The man somehow has limitless energy despite him rarely touching the coffee machine you gave him. If he’s not at his desk arranging meetings, managing correspondence, or any of the other dozen duties he’s responsible for, he’s off making sure mistakes are corrected. Admittedly, sometimes he doesn’t do so in the most diplomatic way given his straight-forward nature. You’ve had to smooth some ruffled feathers more than once, but by now, everyone knows: it would take high treason to get you to fire Minhyuk.
After all, you need at least one person to tell you their honest opinion to your face.
Minhyuk bounces through the door, shutting it behind him. He looks so smart in his navy pinstripe suit and thin, wire-frame glasses. However, it’s his tie that makes you smile. Its silver stitching forms whales sailing through an ocean several shades lighter than his suit. The tie you bought him for his birthday.
“What can I do for you, my captain?” he inquires, stopping just in front of your desk.
You crook your finger, beckoning him to join you. As he rounds the desk, you ask, “What do you think of this dress?”
“You’re shopping?” He clicks his tongue in disapproval. “You’re supposed to be reviewing the contract legal sent up yester-”
It’s incredibly satisfying to see the way Minhyuk gulps as he looks at your computer screen. You know he’s imagining you in. Imagining the way it will make your skin glow, enhance your best assets, show off just enough to be daring and tempting.
“Well?” You hide your smiling mouth beneath your hand.
“Where are you wearing this?”
“The charity dinner next Thursday? The one by the Flynn Carsen Foundation for the city libraries.”
“Oh. Isn’t this a bit...” he wrinkles his nose, “much for this kind of event?”
“I don’t think so, not at the price they’re putting on each plate.” Adding a slight pout to your lips, you cross your arms in your lap. “You don’t think I’ll look good in it?”
“No. You’d look fantastic in it.” Minhyuk turns his head to you, his bottom lip pouting even more than yours. “You’ll look too good. Someone might try to just steal you away then and there.”
“You silly man.” Giggling, you slip your fingers around his tie and tug on it to give him a light kiss on the lips. “As if they could when I have someone like you on my arm. The most handsome man in the room.”
Instantly, Minhyuk relaxes, eased by your stroking of his ego. He smirks, his eyes teasing as he traces the line of your necklace. “I thought you said no PDA at the office,” he whispers.
“Did you leave that door open?”
“No.”
“Then,” you reach behind him, pressing another button on your desk to lock the door, “it’s technically not PDA, is it?”
“No, I suppose not,” Minhyuk replies, his eyes already on your mouth as his hands cup your face to bring you back for a longer kiss that has you forgetting all about the dress.

I love the way you write Jacob Stone whump! I was wondering if you could write Flynn/Jacob with Jacob seriously whumped and Flynn doing his best to take care of him. Thank you so much you're the best!
hello! you literally requested my two favorite things so thank you so much! this is really dumb, but u h i hope you enjoy it!
It was official.
Jake hated time travel.
Granted, this was his first time time traveling.
But still.
The sentiment stayed the same.
And they hadn’t even meant to time travel. As most things with this job, it had been a complete accident. One second he was studying an artifact that they’d discovered in some businessman’s basement, and the next second he’d been thrown into the First Crusade of 1099. So, really, it wasn’t even his fault.
The arrow sticking out of his chest certainly wasn’t his fault.
“Jake?”
Oh, and there was his time traveling companion, right on time.
Though, he figured, technically he was probably the time traveling companion considering Flynn had done this before. Hell, Flynn would probably argue he’d done this twice before, but Jake wasn’t exactly sure if time traveling the ‘long way around’ really counted as time travel.
Ohgod, he really hoped he wouldn’t have to travel back the long way around.
“Stone, oh my god!”
Flynn’s face hovered in his fuzzy vision, and Jake was most definitely dying because Flynn looked concerned which was just all kinds of wrong. When had Flynn ever looked concerned about things that didn’t directly concern his survival alone?
“Hey, Flynn.” And if his voice slurred a little, well, could you really blame him? Arrow in the chest, remember?
“You have an arrow in your chest.”
Certainly no one could ever say that Flynn wasn’t perceptive beyond his years.
“I do,” Jake mumbled. He crossed his eyes and peered down, trying to see the famous arrow he’d heard so much about. “It really hurts.”
“Y-Yeah, yeah, I can imagine.” Flynn was rambling, and, honestly, Jake did not have the capacity to follow along with it. Instead he opted to nod and groan in pain every once in a while and hope he didn’t miss anything important.
And then Flynn’s hands were patting his chest which ow.
With as much strength as he could muster (which, admittedly, was very little), Jake tried to push him away with a, “C’mon, man, I don’t fuck with you when you have an arrow sticking out of your chest.”
“I officially give you permission then.” And, wait, hold on, was Flynn’s voice shaking? As a matter of fact, his hands were shaking too.
Jake frowned. “Dude. I’m gonna be okay. I know you’ll take care of me.”
Flynn’s hands paused over Jake’s stomach. Still trembling. “W-What if I can’t?”
Jake snorted which honestly was not his best move. He resisted a very manly sob of absolute agony and muttered, “You can. You’re Flynn Carsen. You can do anything. I trust ya, man.” He waited, but Flynn’s patting didn’t resume. “You’re the Librarian, Flynn. I trust you.”
The patting resumed. “Right. Right. I’m the Librarian. I can save you. It’s fine. You’ll be fine. We’ll be-.”
“Why are you patting me?” Jake interrupted softly. Not that he was sure he minded all that much anymore. Maybe it was the shock finally kicking in, but everything was starting to feel pretty numb.
“I’m, uh, I’m looking for a knife. I’m going to cut the shaft in half so it’ll be easier to move you. I don’t want it getting caught on anything and risk tearing the wound even more,” Flynn told him astutely as if he’d dealt with arrows sticking out of his time traveling companion’s chest before.
Which, honestly, maybe he had.
“I don’t have a knife,” Jake mumbled. “Why don’t you just take it out?”
“No, no, no, no, no, no-.” Flynn was speaking too fast again, and Jake was having a hard time keeping up. “-bad idea. Very, very bad idea. You don’t want to bleed out, do you?”
“Probably not.”
“You don’t,” Flynn corrected him. “You really, really don’t.”
Flynn’s face was back in his field of vision, and Jake couldn’t help grinning up at him. His hair was wild around his head, mud plastered like hair gel making it stick up even worse than usual. He had a cut above his right eye. He was attempting to grin back, but it was more like a grimace than anything else.
“You ready to stand up?” Flynn asked him.
“Born ready.” Jake smirked.
Flynn hoisted him to his feet and Jake promptly blacked out.
~~~
When Jake woke up, he really shouldn’t have been surprised to find he was back in the Library in one of Jenkins’s many ‘recovery rooms.’ Because of course Flynn had saved the day without him. He wouldn’t be Flynn Carsen if he hadn’t.
He also shouldn’t have been surprised to feel a dull ache in his chest and really shouldn’t have been surprised when that dull ache quickly morphed into a searing pain when he tried to sit up.
And, yet, there he was, yelping like an idiot because he’d tried to sit up. Like an idiot.
He nearly startled again when there was a shout of surprise next to him and a loud thump as Flynn fell out of his chair and hit the ground rather hard.
Jake frowned. “Flynn?”
Flynn popped back up, chin resting on the edge of Jake’s bed, grinning. “Hello, Jacob.”
“Why are you here?” Jake asked as he reached up to rub demurely at his chest. He really missed when he could go a day without almost dying.
“I was waiting for you to wake up,” Flynn told him. He scrambled to his feet and sat back down in the chair that had been positioned next to Jake’s bed. He was still grinning, bright eyes latched onto Jake’s. “And now you have.”
“Uh-huh,” Jake grunted. He let out a long breath and sunk back into his pillows. “And how did we get back to the Library?”
“With my master brilliant plan.”
“Uh-huh.”
“…Eve might have saved us.” He sounded sheepish, but the grin still didn’t disappear.
Jake almost snorted, remembered how bad that had hurt the last time he thought that was a good idea, and grinned instead. “Sounds more like it.” He glanced at Flynn to find him staring expectantly at Jake and frowned. “What?”
Flynn’s cheeks flushed for a second before he shrugged and leaned back into his seat, trying to appear nonchalant. “N-Nothing. I’m just…really glad you’re okay.”
“Yeah, well, thanks to you probably,” Jake admitted. “Uh, thanks, by the way.”
“Of course,” Flynn said solemnly. “Just don’t do it again, okay?”
Jake smirked. “No promises, man. I mean, I am practically the teams’ punching-.”
He cut off when one of Flynn’s hands gripped his own tightly. Flynn was pale, and Jake could feel his hands trembling again. “I mean it. Don’t do it again.”
Jake’s smirk softened into a small smile. “Dude, if you don’t cut this out, I might actually believe you were worried about me.”
When Flynn opened his mouth to reply, Jake expected some scathing denial and was surprised when instead came out, “I was. Very.” Flynn squeezed his hand. “So don’t do it again.”
“R-Right,” Jake stammered. He nodded. “Sure, whatever you say, man.”
When Flynn smiled softly at him and his chest fluttered, well, it was probably the arrow’s fault.
Definitely.
Absolutely.
Oh, he was so screwed.
