melton campbell was my favorite Little Guy and i thought everyone should learn about it since i did so much math about its voicemail prevention stats :) fun fact! melton was only active for about 55% of the games where the fridays could receive a voicemail, and during that time it was the culprit behind 5 out of 21 singlehandedly-prevented voicemails (nearly 24%)! in fact, the rate of singlehanded voicemail prevention more than doubled in the games after melton became active (8/65 games before; 21/78 games after)!

a funny thing about my experience with kcd is that i played the 1st one with my boyfriend last year, and he knows the way i am with my silly little gay ships so he wasn't surprised when i clocked hans and henry right away. i asked "hey can we date this guy?" he said "i dont think so" and i said "well in my head we can" and we left it at that. but eventually i kinda lost interest in the game and never really finished the story (even tho we played for 50+ hours)

as SOON as the second one released my boyfriend was like "HEY. GUESS WHAT" and then played with me IMMEDIATELY. he even looked up a guide on how to romance hans behing my back so i could experience all the right scenes without any spoilers whatsoever. i was truly amazed by the story, plot and character developments! idk just feels good to be with someone who not only listened to me be delusional about gays in the first one and understood, but also knew exactly how excited the 2nd one would make me and was the one to brake the news to me in the first place (he was 100% right and i couldnt think about anything else for the past month)

Can't believe I actually caught a HGSS Safari Zone Metang, and it only took me *checks notes* 112 Encounters (and a few hundred Safari Balls.)

Also managed to catch this only 19 encounters later

it felt like a fever dream. sanemi stumbled forward, pushing through the crowd. his breath caught in his throat, his chest heaving. it was a struggle to speak, but he forced himself to. he was tired and tipsy and he could’ve been imagining it all. even so, he let his hope surge, unable to bat it out before it rose in front of him in the shape of a woman.

“kanae?” he choked out. she couldn’t hear him, not here in the middle of the city. it was loud around them, overwhelming his senses. he tried again. “kanae?”

this time, she heard him. she turned, her eyes curious as they searched for the source of the voice. the butterfly clips in her hair were placed haphazardly, and one of them tilted, falling. she frowned, bending down to pick it up. in the time it took her to reach for it, sanemi urged himself to approach her. she stood, saw him, and then froze. then her eyes widened, eyebrows tucking themselves under her bangs in her shock.

“sanemi?” she breathed. oh, fuck. kanae. it was kanae. it really was.

sanemi swallowed. once. and then again. he couldn’t speak anymore. he’d searched for her time and time again. every day, he’d imagined the millions of ways their reuniting could’ve gone. but his brain short circuited, wilting under the tsunami of relief that hit him. oh, my god, kanae.

likely understanding his unresponsiveness, kanae, ever the forgiving, composed herself enough to laugh. softly. it was barely audible over the sounds of the rush hour around them. but sanemi caught right onto it, his heart skipping several beats. he sucked in a shaky breath, blinking quickly. something pricked the corners of his eyes and he realized he was crying, but suddenly it didn’t matter. because kanae collided against him, her arms wrapping tightly around him. sanemi wasted no time in returning the embrace, holding her tightly and

letting everything else fade away.

“kanae,” he croaked, burying his face in her hair. “kanae.”

kanae responded with a quivering, “sanemi,” as she sunk deeper into his arms. he had missed her so much. he had missed her so damn much.
