i always love asking ppl this; how does your character (du drow) see themselves .vs. how they are seen by others (loved ones, friends, acquaintances, etc)

That is a good question!

When it comes to his self-perception, DU Drow assumes he cuts a very intimidating and off-putting figure at worst - and someone impressive and powerful at best.; he doesn't care either way as long as it favors him in either being left alone or getting what he wants out of people. He believes himself to appear confident and as having little regard for other people besides for his tight-knit group of friends and partner. He does believe that he's reliable - and even caring, as weirdly as he may express it. Not particularly intelligent but not dense enough to seem like an idiot. When it comes to more complex stuff - his needs, wants, beliefs, and how that comes across - his self-understanding is extremely lacking and vague. He doesn't have much of a point of comparison, however, so he doesn't really grapple with that.

When it comes to strangers (at least on the surface) he is pretty much right that he comes across as a scary, powerful person. Funnily enough, in the Underdark he is way less impressive to most of the population - a strange sight nonetheless, but his tactics don't work as well on it's citizens. Most drow don't know what to make of him, and generaly don't take him seriously or assume him to be half-something else or even not a drow at all.

(Shadowheart's and Astarion's POVs below, NOTE: these are based on what their relationships are like at the end-game/post-game, obviously there would be some significant differences if we were to talk about first-impressions and so on)

Shadowheart, being his closest friend, sees DU drow as kind of a doofus. She understands him as an animal with simple motivations and impulses, and has no real interest in pushing him to be anything else - in fact she envies how simplistically DU drow seems to view life and every hurdle that it throws his way, and looks up to him for seeming largely unaffected by his circumstances and unburdened by the things he has done/have happened to him. She does think he's a very fun person to be around - and someone she can say anything to and trust him to tell her exactly whats on his mind back, and generally tell her to pull herself by the bootstraps instead of letting her wallow in misery - she has overall a lot of respect and appreciation for the guy, though she doesn't express it too often since she thinks his ego is inflated enough. She isn't afraid or unnerved by him in the slightest and is kind of amused at how much other people are - she pretty much forgets that he looks like a freak.

As his romantic partner, Astarion's perception on him is fairly different. He thinks a bit more highly of Du drow's intellect than it probably appears, and finds it frustrating that he guy just doesn't seem to want to entertain a lot of... Thinking. He knows he can be perceptive and insightful based on how he treats him, but for whatever reason never applies that to himself, and the more they grow to know each other the more he thinks it's just a barrier DU drow has set up so he doesn't have to grapple with the things he's done and what he is. He is under no illusions that DU drow isn't a egoistical, blood-thirsty person (he likes those things about him, anyway) but worries that one day something will click in his brain, and all that willful ignorance will culminate into something terrible. He also thinks DU drow is a far more empathetic person than himself.

He really likes DU drow's company for his unfiltered demeanor - he thinks he's funny and a good listener (lol) and finds a lot of comfort in being with someone who seems incapable of hiding how they feel about him and their relationship, and doesn't think DU drow has much capacity for being manipulative or deceptive. Naturally he adores how much DU drow seems willing to devote himself to him, but it bothers him that it sometimes seem to veer into weird, damsel-in-distress-fantasy territory. Basically there's a lot about the guy that Astarion both likes and doesn't simultaneously.

I love nature deeply, and im always cautious that i rispect the spirits! Sometimes just jumping around like im having an explosion of energy or just quietly walk around, exploring in silence. Its like an on and off switch, no in-betweens XD

My main is generaly for anything and everything i find cool, support (sometimes politics, sometimes art, people, lgbtq things)- this one will focus on witchcraft and paganism (or at least try to XD)

Speaking of which, I am a queer and lgbtqia+ person myself. So homophobes, transphobes aren't welcome. I also have a friend who believes was a spirit that's half animalistic in a past life (or multiple) and i support every kind of therianthropy there is. (Becouse the term is quite literally turning into an umbrella term recently)

I also support: age/pet regressors, POC people, xenogender, neopronouns, Women in general due to mysoginy and any opressed group

Artemisia Gentileschi (c. 1593-1656) was the daughter of Orazio Gentileschi, a follower of Caravaggio. She is widely regarded as the most accomplished female painter of the 17th century. After a scandal in Rome involving a rape case she brought against the landscape painter Agostino Tassi, Gentileschi moved to Florence. This case, which ended with Gentileschi's humiliation, is now seen as a symbol of the violence women have endured throughout history.

The scene of Judith beheading Holofernes has been a popular subject in art since the early Renaissance, as part of a group of subjects called the Power of Women. Caravaggio's 'Judith Beheading Holofernes' is believed to be the main source of inspiration for Gentileschi's work, as his influence is evident in the naturalism and violence she brings to her canvas.

The painting depicts an episode from the Book of Judith, which is not considered canonical by Christian Churches and Jews. It tells the story of the assassination of the Assyrian general Holofernes by the Israelite heroine Judith. Gentileschi's painting shows the moment when Judith, helped by her maidservant, beheads the general after he has fallen asleep drunk.

The painting is strikingly physical, with wide spurts of blood and the energy of the two women as they carry out the act. The effort of their struggle is most finely represented by the delicate face of the maid, who is grasped by the oversized, muscular fist of Holofernes as he desperately struggles to survive. Although the painting depicts a classic scene from the Bible, Gentileschi drew herself as Judith and her mentor Agostino Tassi, who was tried in court for her rape, as Holofernes.

Okay so I work in corpo, it's a gaming corpo but still corpo. I've joined a team which has been together for a long time and don't get me wrong, we get along, I like them but we don't really have much in common. I don't really have a lot of friends and this 'I'm being left out" feeling has been creeping upon me for some time. So I came up with an idea of creating my own group chat. I made a post on our social channel asking if there are people who love frogs and amphibians in general and if anybody wants to join a frog posting group.

I currently have 25 people awaiting my daily "Amphibian of the day" post and we generaly have fun there.

But there's a twist. More posts like mine started appearing. First was the Bird watching group, then somebody gathered a group of car model collectors and today I saw a post about group for people learning japanese.

I don't want to brag but I think my loneliness and need to share my frog passion has started something really cool in our company. Bringing the people together. We all know it's just a job but also it's a place where we spent a shit ton of time and we all know how hard it can be to find friends in our late 20s/early 30s.

I may not climb the corporate ladder but I did something significant there 🐸

Ace Punk Rock; Machine gun Kelly- very mainstream and adored for his music

Sabo alternative punk; YUNGBLUD - less mainstream but very popular in the UK and with lgbt/marginalized groups

Now Ace and Sabo have collaborated and have some.. feelings but that ain't gonna be looked at too closely cause both of them are focused on their careers. Anyway they end up getting contacted by Whitebeard records (a huge deal, Edward newgate was known as the father of rock for a reason)

SO they come in and are met by Newgate himself, Basically the deal is they are to collaborate in a album to re-launch Di-Angels Return.

Now for those who don't Know Di-angel or for those who were fans Marci Diangelo was a HUGE deal back in the day. Like Joan Jett mixed with Lady gaga. The woman was the beginning of the punk rock scene, aggressively making out with both genders for paparazzi and generally being an absolute menace. Ace and Sabo of course say yes, (Sabo was inspired to start his own music career by her and Ace just thinks she's neat.)

Anyway the day comes where they are supposed to meet Her, Di- Angel, Marci and of course Sabo is kinda fanboying and Ace may or may not be very jealous cause come on, she was hot back in the day but she's in her 40s now. Instead of the busty blonde who once screamed into the microphone about flying away. They are met with a blonde man in a leather jacket.

"Uhm, excuse me?" Ace wants to be irritated but damn the guy is smokin hot. "We were supposed to be meeting Di-angel here."

The man blinks sleepy blue eyes, "yeah, I know."

Sabo bites his lip eye twitching, "You- Marci, we are meeting with Marci Diangelo, the singer."

The blonde man sticks a cig in his mouth, the corner quirking up. "Just said, I know. But you obviously are a bit behind the times." The man stands towering over both of them, "I go by Marco now, call me Marci again and I'll send you both through the door got it?"

Ever since Pops suggested relaunching Di-Angel, Marco's been nothing but a roll of anxiety in human skin. While their family was fairly accepting, and the punk-rock community as a whole generaly was too, the larger scene is...well. Not quite the same. With most of the people of Marco's generation reacting across the entire spectrum from acceptance to hard rejection, Marco honestly didn't think it would be a good idea.

Yes, his voice and range dropped by a few octaves. Yes his old favorite dresses didn't fit the same any more (not that he wanted to put on most of them any more, just the shiny leather number but he had to get it tailored for the new dimension of his chest and hips). Yes, he's different now and that difference is something that he's gotten shit for from people he thought were friends and something that people he thought hated him were supportive of. It's been a roller coaster of strangeness and that was before Pops suggested relaunching his music career.

He left music because he knew the reactions would be. Mixed. once things got off the ground for his transition. Music never left him-Pops has multiple videos of him humming melodies and tapping beats from doctors' offices and one in a hospital bed-but the scene? He assumed the scene left him well behind.

Then Pops came to him with this insane idea and told him that these two young pups, rising stars and rough diamonds the both of them, were jumping and chomping at the bit. Marco didn't know what to think. He told Pops he'd reserve judgement until they met, but even then the hotcold churning in his stomach of anxiety was steadily eating his confidence of this whole thing working.

Then he meets them and despite the fact that neither of them knew who he was now, they were adorably eager just as Pops said. And, just as Pops said, they're talented if a bit raw. Unrefined, somehow. Both have a similar feel-rough voices in a slightly high medium range, but what really grabs Marco's attention is that they both actually play. Something that's fallen out of fashion in newer bands, that their lead vocalists know what to do with a guitar in hand, they both pick up an axe during the experimental jam session and they aren't too bad either. They know classic riffs and stings, whole lead lines from classic and punk rock staples.

Then something of a miracle happens. Ace picks up a bass and smacks out a fairly simple beat on 5, jumping octaves, and Sabo picks up Marco's old stage piece and. Oh.

That's the lead and bass of "I Feel Fine" and Marco's nothing if not a perfectionist for the classics. He grabs the mic they rigged up for his studio, coughs to clear his throat, and-

Ace does something to the bass beat, a lick or two to change things juuuuust a little and Sabo slips a few 16th and 32nd notes here and there, little twangs to change the key down a half step and suddenly its not The Beatles any more, it's something a little rougher, a little less refined, it's something from the back alleys of a queer bar that Marco used to dress butch for where he got called a good man for the first time. It's like being in love, if love were a dirty suckerpunch and a cigarette after-if love was two men who might not always be men-if love was a little less straight.

That ends up being the second song on the album a year later, a fucking Beatles cover that rockets them right to the top of the charts in multiple countries and forces Marco back into the spotlight no matter how much he tries pushing the younger stars forward and blames them for the majority of their sound. Three vocalists who trade off is definitely strange, especially since Marco is....well, not 'Marci' any more.

But it works, somehow Pops' insane idea doesn't explode in their faces, and if there's maybe a little charged something that happens in the limo ride home from their first awards show, something that's been building for months and months over heated eye contact and falling asleep on each other in the studio and appreciative whistling during the set and costume set-up of music videos, well.

That's their business and nobody else's. And if that charged something results in Ace stumbling down into Marco's kitchen in the middle of the night only to scream at Thatch who's in the tradition of making Marco breakfast after award shoes (started before Di-Angel and 'Marci' ever got big), who then screams right back at him which draws both Sabo and Marco down to see what the goddamn noise is about. Well.

That's also their business and nobody else's. (yes Thatch even you, get the fuck out of my kitchen, goddamn-yoi)

The Demon's demons

On earth; a different kind of creature ruled the night.

They had cold and sullen skin, practically glowing in the moonlight. They smelled of death, of blood. Their nails were sharp and claw-like by nature, alongside the most powerful set of jaws had by any mammal. The fangs, sharp enough to cut through bone with ease, could retract back into the skull. Their eyes were characterised by their hue of red–, the darker, the more dangerous the creature.

This creature was forbidden to wander into sunlight, lest their skin burn and melt off their bones.

This creature was called a vampire. Vampires were a perpetual cycle of sire - fledgling. Fledgling was a term used for recently turned vampires; Sire was the person who turned them. Among vampire society, however, there were many more terms and titles used. Elders, High Vampire Lords and Ladies, Neonates, all those fun words. All you really need to know is this: There are 7 vampire covens that you really want to join. They're the biggest, oldest, richest and influential of the vampire society.

The covens are called the following; Ignis, Generalis, Praenuntiator, Clepta, Chemicus, Basileus and Medice. 

Juliet Anguis didn't belong to any of the covens.

She was a 22 year old woman with long black hair and pale red eyes. She was small, with brown skin like soil. She had no coven to speak of, among the unlucky few who were abandoned by their Sires. It was fine though, she made do. Even worked with the Council of Vampires, essentially a coven composed of the 7 leaders. 

So how did she end up on Pandora? And coddling her new fledgling–, a boy named Lo'ak?

She was with a small team meant purely for reconnaissance. They ended up stumbling too deep into the forest, got lost, and somehow ended up in Omaticaya territory. She swears on her undead life that she really hadn't meant to come here. 

They ended up being captured by a small, very small group of teens. If she remembers correctly, it was 4 Na'vi and 1 human. She knew them; the children of Jake Sully and the son of Quaritch. They were going to bring them to their clan, but her team managed to overpower them and ran off. During their scuffle, she ended up biting one of the kids–, she surprised them by taking off the mask and tearing out a good chunk in her desperate attempt to escape.

They ran off and made it pretty far until they were found again. One gangly limbed Na'vi knocked into her at full force, wrapping his arms and legs securely around her. She yelped in surprise, so startled at being tackled, until she smelled death and blood on the Na'vi that wasn't there before. Eyes the colour of light corral stared into hers, and immediately she felt a connection. She knew one thing so intimately, so certainly, it terrified her. 

This was her fledgling. Hers. Her boy. Her baby. Her baby? Hers. Yes, yes he's hers. She needs to keep him safe. He must be starving, she should get him food. Wait, no, fledglings are supposed to have their Sires' blood for the first few days, right? So their bond solidifies completely, a claim that couldn't be denied by anyone.

Hiiii so you know the night na'vi clan made by Choco (sorry i cant remember their name right now) and i thought it would be cool if humans also had a race that only came out at night. That's when I remembered vampires!!
