Le opere appartengono per la maggior parte a collezioni private italiane e straniere, integrate da una selezione di prestiti da istituzioni museali che ospitano alcune tra le più importanti raccolte di arte ottomana fuori dalla Turchia: il Museo Nazionale del Bargello e il Museo Stibbert a Firenze e in Europa il Museo di Arte Islamica di Berlino (Pergamonmusem / Museum für Islamische Kunst Staatliche Museen zu Berlin - Preußischer Kulturbesitz) e il Museo della Ceramica di Sèvres (Cité de la céramique - Sèvres & Limoges).

Have you ever done an analysis of which fandoms are most dominated by a single ship?

I hadn't done so before. I just took a quick pass at doing so, but only among the biggest fandoms on AO3 as of Jan 2024 (ones with over 10K public works at that time). I sorted them by the size of their biggest ship relative to the size of the fandom. This gives us a bunch of very big fandoms with a high % of works tagged with a particular ship:

The raw data used to make this graph, including the corresponding biggest ships, is available in a spreadsheet here, or at the end of this post.

A few notes:

This is based on January 2024 data. Some things may have changed!

Not all these works are necessarily about these ships. Especially in the cases where the ships are canon, they may often be tagged as background ships.

There are undoubtedly many smaller AO3 fandoms that have higher percentages devoted to the top ship.

I removed some highly overlapping fandoms (e.g., Good Omens book fandom).

This is AO3 data only, and (as always!) AO3 does not represent fandom overall. In particular, ship popularity tends to vary A LOT by archive/platform. Julianne Moore in Still Alice (Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland, 2014)

After four previous nominations, Julianne Moore was overdue for an Oscar. I just wish she had won for a more challenging film than Still Alice, a middlebrow, middle-of-the-road movie that unfortunately suggests a slicked-up power-cast version of a Lifetime problem drama. It goes without saying that, with her luminous natural style, Moore can act the hell out of anything she's given: When she played Sarah Palin in Game Change (Jay Roach, 2012) on HBO, she even made me forget Tina Fey's great caricature of that eminently caricaturable politician, and did it without resorting to caricature. What bothers me most about Still Alice is its choice of an affluent white professional, a linguistics professor with a physician husband (Alec Baldwin) and an attractive family, to carry the burden of what the movie has to say about Alzheimer's. Why couldn't the film have been about the effect of early-onset Alzheimer's on a black or Latino family, or someone faced with meeting the bills -- a waitress or a secretary or a factory worker, perhaps? The screenplay (by directors Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland, from Lisa Genova's novel) even shamefully asserts at one point that the disease is particularly difficult for "educated" people. The movie has its good points, of course. Kristen Stewart, as Alice's younger daughter, is a revelation. Those who knew Stewart only from the Twilight movies were startled by the skill and maturity of her performance. And the scene in which Alice discovers the suicide instructions left by herself before the disease had progressed is deftly handled, as the disease itself prevents Alice from remembering and following through on the instructions. The film also has some poignancy in the fact that director-screenwriter Glatzer, who was Westmoreland's husband, suffered from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and died from the disease in 2015. But the use in Still Alice of excerpts from Tony Kushner's Angels in America suggests a dubious parallel between Alzheimer's and AIDS.

Good evening Europe!

It's that magical time of the year again when we all come together to trash each others' musical tastes!

The point system has changed many times over the years, and as various countries have come and gone, it is hard to determine who did "the best" based on the points they got alone as, since the maximum available points doubled with the jury and televote scores no longer being combined, post 2016 entries would have an obvious advantage and, likewise, the contests with 40+ participants would also have more maximum available points to give so a country getting 200 points in 2004 is not the same as another getting 200 points in 2009 or 2016.

But if we divide the points each entry got by the maximum available points for the respective year it competed, we get a percentage score that can easily be measured against entries from years with differing point systems.

So, for example, in 2009 42 countries participated. The maximum points each country can award is of course 12 and you can't vote for yourself. So 41 × 12 = 492. Let's then take Norway's total of 387 points and divide it by the 492 total of maximum available points. We get 78.6, meaning Norway and Alexander Rybak amassed 78.6% of the total points in 2009!

In the case of tie breaks the entry that placed higher in its respective year wins the tie break and if there's still a tie I used rules similar to the actual contest; the winner of a tie is the entry that received more points from televoting. If there are no split results available to the public, the entry that received points from more countries, then the country that received more 12 points, then 10 points all the way down to 1. If the tie cannot be broken in this way, the entry that performed earlier wins the tie break.

I've set 2004 as the "beginning of time", if you will, because that's when I started watching Eurovision and because there also had to be some sort of limit to how far back I would go with this 🤣

With that very long-winded explanation of my measuring tactics out of the way, shall we see our current Top 100 before new entries are added after the 2023 Grand Final is over?

Conosciamo meglio in questo articolo Francesca Baraghini la bella e brava giornalista in forza a Sky TG24. E la conosciamo quindi con la sua biografia personale che andiamo a fare.

Chi è Francesca Baraghini?

La giornalista è nata a Genova e precisamente il 23 luglio del 1984. Quindi al momento in cui vi striamo ha 38 anni da compiere. Il suo obbiettivo nella vita è sempre stato fare la giornalista fin da piccola. Francesca Baraghini ha avuto la sua prima esperienza da giornalista a Radio Babboleo. Correva l'anno 2009, dove è rimasta fino a tutto il 2010. In concomitanza con il lavoro in radio inizia anche il lavoro da giornalista pura, infatti dal 2009 al 2014 la ritroviamo al Secolo XIX. Sempre nel 2009 la sua prima esperienza in televisione con l'emittente ligure Primocanale. Grazie a queste esperienze la giornalista Francesca Baraghini approda presso la gazzetta dello Sport iniziando il suo percorso nel 2016, e tralasciando un breve passaggio in Mediaset , questa sua esperienza continua anche oggi. Nel 2015 a Genova, dopo il disastro del governatorato di Claudio Burlando (Pd), un insieme di gruppi di volenterosi della società civile, senza alcun rapporto con centri di poteri, cercò di opporsi alla candidatura di Giovanni Toti. Sapevamo chi era e ci bastavano le sue credenziali: cresciuto all’ombra di Craxi e Berlusconi, formatosi a Mediaset come giornalista, respirò e inalò odori malefici che il suo padrone, il pregiudicato che aveva rapporti stretti con la mafia, aveva generosamente sparso: “La Fininvest ha finanziato Cosa Nostra ed è stata in rapporti con la mafia” (Ferruccio Pinotti e Luca Testaroli, Colletti sporchi, Rizzoli 2008; Cassazione, sentenza n. 28225, 09-05-2014). Potevamo riuscire nell’intento di avere come presidente della Regione Liguria, l’ex sindaco di La Spezia, Giorgio Pagano, partigiano e resistente. Il narcisismo della finta sinistra e il Pd, il cui programma politico era quello di garantire un posto politico ai propri esponenti che rappresentavano solo se stessi, come continua ad accadere, fece fallire tutto, portando Giovanni Toti alla presidenza regionale. Qui non interessa l’aspetto giudiziario del malaffare politico imprenditoriale che sta dilaniando Genova e i partiti, qui interessa solo prendere atto della verità che noi conoscevano senza bisogno di arresti domiciliari, o indagini prolungate per anni. Se Toti, per altro ‘straniero’ importato da Berlusconi a Genova, ha potuto imperare impunemente fu per responsabilità del Pd locale e nazionale che, avendo governato ininterrottamente dal dopo guerra, si credeva inamovibile e proprietario della pubblica amministrazione, accomodandosi sui comodi sofà del potere e abbandonando la politica del territorio a interessi di parte e di singole persone fedeli o da gratificare. Penso che votare per l’Europa sia urgente e necessario perché è là che si decidono le sorti anche dell’Italia. Meloni ha trasformato le elezioni in un referendum pro o contro di lei, dimostrando che dell’Europa non le importa nulla, anche perché non vi andrà, seppure eletta. Manderà il secondo in lista che è un “signor nessuno”, fedele a lei, ma senza alcuna competenza. Lo stesso vale per Elly Schlein che non doveva abbassarsi fino ad ingannare gli italiani con il metodo fascista della menzogna e dell’inganno. Personalmente non voto né per vincere né per perdere, voto perché sono cittadino sovrano che esprime la propria visione del mondo, dell’Europa e dell’Italia; voto per bloccare l’avanzate del neo-nazifascismo che sta infestando l’Europa con miasmi che pensavano sconfitti per sempre. Voto perché non abdico alla mia sovranità che voglio esercitare in pieno, portando a Bruxelles uomini e donne competenti e onesti, che vivono la politica come servizio per migliorare la vita di tutti e non per servirsene per sé e amichetti. Voto il partito che ha la Pace al centro del proprio programma politico, perché è la Pace, il bene supremo da tutelare mentre infuriano due guerre in Europa e in Medio Oriente e altre 50 circa nel mondo. Voto donne e uomini di Pace che impediscano all’Europa di essere guerrafondai, al soldo degli Usa che non vogliono nel modo più assoluto gli Stati Uniti d’Europa. Voto per esprimere un ideale di mondo e di Europa, che deve essere, mai come oggi, centrato sulla, Pace, ora che anche i missili atomici sono stati svegliati e portati ai confini della povera Ucraina, carne macellata per gli interessi della Nato, la vera responsabile di questa ulteriore “inutile strage”. Voto perché voglio che l’Europa abbia un disegno per Gaza e Israele, che deve essere liberato ora e adesso del suo nemico più terribile che è Bibi Netanyahu, il quale vive la guerra come sua salvezza personale dal carcere che lo aspetta, anche a costo degli ostaggi, a costo di uccidere tutti gli innocenti palestinesi, a cui Israele da 80 anni ha derubato tutte le terre e tutte le speranze, contro ogni legge e legalità. A chi mi dice che i sondaggi danno Pace, Terra e Dignità al di sotto del 4%, rispondo: intanto lo voto io dando tre preferenze votando tre persone (due donne e un uomo o due uomini e una donna, o un uomo e una donna, pena l’invalidità). “Parte di me” è il nuovo singolo di Donis & Dazzo il primo con un doppio Feat, Astol e Lortex, per la prima volta insieme sulla stessa traccia. Donis & Dazzo è un duo italiano di disc jockey formato da Alessio Dionisio e Davide Randazzo, entrambi originari di Genova. Sono stati citati da testate come 1001 tracklist, Edm.com, We Rave You, Edm House Network. Con l’approssimarsi della bella stagione e l’aumento delle presenze in provincia sono aumentati anche i servizi sul territorio dei Carabinieri del Comando Provinciale di Imperia attraverso l’intensificazione delle pattuglie e dei controlli su strada, al fine di mantenere alto il livello di sicurezza sia per i residenti che per i turisti. Proprio nell’ambito di questi controlli nel pomeriggio di domenica 14 aprile i Carabinieri della Compagnia di Sanremo hanno tratto in arresto uno straniero gravato da un Ordine di Carcerazione dell’Ufficio Esecuzioni del Tribunale di Torino. L’uomo, un quarantottenne di origine tunisina, è stato controllato nei pressi di Corso Inglesi e da subito i militari dell’Aliquota Radiomobile hanno notato qualche incongruenza nelle generalità fornite dallo straniero e quindi hanno deciso di portarlo in caserma per meglio chiarire la sua posizione. Sottoposto a fotosegnalamento, il predetto è risultato avere diversi alias e soprattutto un Ordine di Carcerazione della Procura del Tribunale di Torino risalente al gennaio 2011, per l’esecuzione di quasi cinque anni di reclusione per i reati di rapina aggravata e produzione, detenzione e traffico di sostanze stupefacenti. A Bordighera, invece, i Carabinieri della locale Stazione hanno rintracciato un quarantatreenne rumeno domiciliato in provincia di Milano e gravato da un Ordine di Carcerazione della Procura della Repubblica presso il Tribunale di Genova per l’espiazione di una pena residua di un anno e quattro mesi per diversi reati contro il patrimonio commessi tra il 2014 e il 2016.
