Probably my most ambitious drawing yet. I’m so proud of it,I love this and I love my kids so much.
I’m also proud of myself for beating radical red!

Random Fact of the Day
Daily Pokémon that was randomly selected: Machamp!
Did you know that the Gigantamax energy coursing through Machamp’s arms makes its punches hit as hard as bomb blasts? One of these Pokémon once used its immense strength to lift a large ship that was in trouble, and then proceeded to carry said ship to the port. #0068: Gigantamax Machamp
Gigantamax Machamp looks pretty similar to regular Machamp. The most notable changes are that it now has a black neck, its black/dark blue briefs turn into pants, the middle brown ridge on its head is now longer, its eyes glow yellow, and its fists and forearms now have orange and yellow colors, as if magma was bursting out of them. Also, its blue skin and the ridges on its head both turn a bit darker. Its belt also changes, as it is now thicker and the red P on the buckle is now white. I think this is a really cool design. It improves how Machamp looks in general, but also makes it look very strong. Its palette is also great, with the orange and yellow colors looking nice next to all the other colors.
Shiny Gigantamax Machamp is also mostly green now, though it is also a bit darker. Its pants also turn into a dark green. This is almost the same shiny palette as regular Shiny Machamp, but the orange and yellow colors make it even better. There is less contrast between the colors, as green and yellow are pretty close on the color spectrum, but that is okay. Though to be honest, even if these colors improve the palette, it is not enough to give it a higher score than Machamp's.
7/10

Pokemon: Shiny vs. Default, 0066-0068
Okay, Machop and its evolutionary line. I’ll be honest, I’ve never been fond of this one. Machop itself is alright, but as it evolves it becomes Just A Guy. Not helping matters is Game Freak deciding it needs to be in every fucking game besides Gen V, and common enough that it’s hard to avoid catching one of the things.
So, we’ll begin with Machop itself.
I’m not even sure what colour that is. It’s a sort of... beige, I guess? Either way, nothing amazing, default wins.
Next, Machoke.
This man spontaneously grew a belt. He’s green, but it’s a good shade of green, and doesn’t look bad on him. Also, uh, IIRC the red bits on Machoke’s arms are supposed to be, like, its muscles being too big for its skin, causing it to split and expose them, but they’re blue on the shiny. Do shinies have weirdly-coloured insides too? Is that a thing? Giving it to the shiny just for that.
Next, Machamp.
Another green one, looks kinda on the border between lime and mucus, but it’s overall not awful. Still, I ultimately prefer the blue-grey-teal-whatever the default has. Default wins, but it’s close.
Finally, Gigantamax Machamp.
In this case, it’s far more clear-cut. The red filter works much better on the default greyish colours than it does on the green. Default wins.
I must say, it’s kinda weird having a line where the shinies randomly becoming green is an improvement, because Machop’s shiny is definitely my least favourite of the bunch.
Default: 55
Shiny: 29
Draw: 12
