#Gil is a peaceful guy
Note
Thenamesh Ballerina/Boxer AU with Gil protecting Thena.
I love protective Gil so it would be really cool :)
"You sure you wanna do this?" Gil couldn't help but ask as they walked into the loud, crowded pub.
"Oh, come on," Thena smiled at him, pulling his hand to go find where Sersi and Ikaris were waiting for them. "I'm not so opposed to rambunctiousness. I do teach teenagers, if you recall."
"Oh, I recall," he chuckled. The teenagers were the class who loved to 'ooh' and 'aw' when Miss Thena's boyfriend came in to bring her coffee.
"Besides," Thena sighed, half for fun and half in genuine exasperation. "Sersi is quite taken with your old buddy, Ikaris."
"I don't know if I'd use the term 'buddy'."
"I want her to know that we can all spend time together."
Gil grinned, pulling Thena back to him by the hand and securing her there by wrapping his arm around her waist. He pressed his lips to her temple, "you're a good friend, Gorgeous."
Thena lavished in the small affection, even in the middle of the horrifically loud establishment.
"I do owe him a beer anyway," Gil added a little more sheepishly, "after last time."
"Last time?" Thena blinked.
"Well, the time before that," Gil shrugged, referring to a misunderstanding between them that had led to Gil pulverising Ikaris way too intensely for a practice match.
Thena blushed as Gil nipped at the shell of her ear.
"How could I forget last time?"
Thena squirmed in his embrace, pushing on his chest, "we're already late."
"Where the hell are these two?" Gil muttered, looking around the room. Even with its darkened corners, he assumed he would have seen them by now. "You see 'em?"
"No, I--hey!"
"Whoops, sorry 'bout--hello there," the offending stranger shifted from frustrated to smiling at Thena in the blink of an eye. He took her in, visibly, running his eyes over her and tipping up his hat. "Sorry, little lady, didn't mean to jostle you like that."
"It's fine."
"Let me get'cha a drink-"
"She said it's fine, man," Gil grumbled, pulling Thena closer to him again as the walking ball cap and blue jeans refused to stop dragging his eyes over her.
The man turned to Gil, as if noticing him for the first time. "Oh, sorry man, I didn't realise she was with you."
Thena had to wonder how he had missed her literally being held by Gil. But they were on their way again before she could ask. "Gil?"
"That's the other thing about dives like this," Gil muttered, keeping her close as he found them a standing table underneath a light. "The prettier you are, the more of an animal you'll attract."
"I'm not sure if that's so foreign a concept to me."
"Maybe not," Gil conceded, kissing her cheek gently as he parted from her reluctantly, "but the kind of animal might be. I'm gonna see if the bartender knows if they're here and where they might be."
Thena nodded, watching him go as she stayed standing at the table. She swayed absently to whatever tune was playing far too loudly through the speakers. She put her hands on the edge of the table, only to discover there was something on it. Whether it was water or something else she wiped her fingers off on her jeans--the only pair she owned, and wore specifically with this venue in mind.
Sersi got out more than she did. Sersi knew how not to stand out in a pub--a bar, rather. This was for Sersi--who deserved to be happy, even if Thena thought Ikaris was a bit of a meathead for her.
"Buy you a drink?"
Thena stared down at the table, wondering if refusing to engage them at all would be a better route.
"Buy you a drink?!!"
No, they just thought she couldn't hear them. She sighed, turning with a frown, "my boyfriend is at the bar now."
"Then he's not here."
"That wasn't an invitation," she scowled, as the man - and more than one behind him - shifted from their table to hers. She eyed them cautiously, "I'm not here alone."
"Really?--'cause," the front one ran his eyes over her, just like the one from the crowd, "you seem pretty lonesome."
Alone and lonesome did not mean the same thing.
"We can just keep you company," another one suggested, "'till your, uh, boyfriend?--comes back."
"I don't think you want to do that," Thena advised, not that the interloping animals deserved the courtesy of a warning. "He won't like arriving to a scene like this."
"What? We're just talking."
Thena shuffled back from the table, desperate for every centimetre of distance from them she could get. "A discussion to which I never agreed."
"Now what's a flower like you doin' in a place like this?"
"Yeah, you're far too sweet to be roamin' around alone."
"I bet your boyfriend's just some dickhead, anyway."
Thena glared at him.
"Dude, you made her mad," the others slapped his shoulder, laughing between themselves, although clearly her anger was the cause for their amusement. "She's cute when she's angry, though."
"Then you're gonna think I'm adorable."
Thena looked over their shoulders, although the one closest to the back was already getting flipped over Gil's shoulder. His shoes hit the ceiling light dangling above them with a loud clang. "I did tell you."
The one who called Gil a 'dickhead' was next. He tried to make his escape but Gil grabbed him by the wrist, giving it it a good twist until everyone around them could hear the pop! of it.
"Hey, man, we were just-"
"Harassing my girlfriend," Gil finished for the other two, cracking his knuckles loudly and giving his hands a shake, like he did when he was getting ready for the last round of a fight. "Yeah, I heard."
Everyone but Thena winced as Gil landed a punch to each of their faces that looked quite lethal in force. And certainly they went down like a sack of bricks, completely unconscious after a hit like that.
"What the hell's going on, here?!"
"Sorry, sorry," Gil apologised, holding up his hands as the bar staff came rushing over. "I'm going, I'm going."
Thena shuffled around the men on the ground, hopping over one of the bodies to trot out beside Gil. "Are you okay?"
Gil just shrugged, shaking out his fist again. Sure, he was used to gloves, but his knuckles had been conditioned long before now. "I'll be fine. Are you okay?"
Thena offered a shrug of her own as they headed back out into the night. "I've certainly heard worse."
"I'm sorry, Sweetheart," he offered sheepishly, taking her hand in his. "I didn't mean to leave you alone to them, or to get us kicked out like that."
Thena just shook her head, stepping in closer to kiss him again. "I'd hardly consider that your fault."
Gil returned the kiss gleefully. "And for the record, you are cute when you're mad, but only I get to say it."
"Gil," she scolded, slipping her hand under his sports coat to give his side a pinch.
"What?" he laughed, leaving his heavy arm around her delicate little shoulders. "It's super cute when your little goslings tease you for having a boyfriend and you get all flustered."
"Gil!"
"Oi," Ikaris blinked as he arrived with his own arm slung over Sersi's shoulders, "what're you doin' out here?"
"What are we doing?" Gil snorted at his old friend, "you're late even by your standard."
"Yeah, well," Ikaris shrugged. That was the end of his excuse, it seemed. He took another step, "shall we?"
"Uh, we can't go in there," Gil caught Ikaris by the shoulder and turned him around.
"Huh?"
Thena took Sersi's elbow and turned her as well, allowing them to link arms with the men on their outside shoulders. "Gil caved in a gentleman's nose, in there."
"Oh my," Sersi underreacted, perfectly able to imagine him doing so, apparently. "Well, there are other places to get a pint."
"Places that aren't crawling with assholes," Gil muttered, slipping off his jacket and putting it over Thena's shoulders.
Ikaris rushed to do the same for his own girlfriend.

Love the idea of Elrond as the most politically powerful, influential person in Lindon.
Like this man is the son of the guy who saved the world, the grandson of Idril and Tuor famed heroes, great grandson of Turgon who built a safe haven in an apocalypse and great great grandson of Fingolfin who lead the Noldor across the grinding ice. He has the gondolindrim eating out of his hand. He is their shining symbol of hope just like his father was. A bright star born in a time of darkness and terror.
He’s also the adoptive son of Maglor and Maglor. While i dont believe he’d consider himself a diehard feanorian due to all that happened, the Feanorians surrounded him during the formative years of his life and that leaves an effect on both parties. They watch him grow up and when Maedhros and Maglor die and disappear respectively, it is Elrond who is given charge of them. Elrond, who looks at them and says you have done terrible things and there is no changing that but there is a chance for you to do good now, if you will follow me then i will lead you. To them he is Maitimo before Angband and Thangorodrim. He is their kind and beautiful prince who convinced them that though their sworn leader is dead the enemy is not and there is work to be done.
Then there’s the Sindar. Elrond is just as much a symbol to them as he was to the Gondolindrim. He’s the image of Luthien come again, the scion of Thingol and Melian. He also becomes a symbol of hatred of what the Noldor took from them. A mighty empire and monarchy lost twice over. Children slain mercilessly once again. After he is returned to him is when he begins to become a much more positive figure. Their little lost prince returned to life. A symbol of unity and peace. He understands they have been wronged he too was victim to those wrongs, but it is him who convinces them that the elves cannot fight amongst themselves any longer, that they have a chance for a better world, but they must inhabit that world together.
Thats three factions of elves who adore him, not to mention his Numenorian connections. Elrond would likely never go against Gil Galad on any sort of political matter, the two of them agree on most things afterall, but if he did, i think Gil Galad would have a hard to time arguing with or refusing him, knowing just how much power Elrond has over his subjects.

Conversation
High King Gil-galad: “Galadriel must leave these shores at once for Valinor, lest she court the very evil she was obsessively pursuing more than her own missing husband and bring it down upon us all.”
Elrond: "Agreed."
Galadriel: “Hey guys! I decided to skip Heaven, go for a swim, enjoy an island vacation with this random hot guy I met adrift at sea, encouraged him not to pursue a life of quiet and peaceful isolation, then invaded the Southlands with him and an army and put a crown on his head. Meet my new boyfriend, Satan. What’s for supper?”

So uh, I was playing Stardew Valley to destress, and then this happened. Hope everyone likes it at least!
One Piece Stardew Valley AU
Luffy
General:
Washed up on the beach in a barrel and mayor Lewis hasn’t been able to get rid of him since. One of the harder residents to track down because his schedule is entirely random, but he does have some places he goes to more frequently. These places include the Stardrop Saloon, the mines, the beach, and Linus’s tent. He is banned from the museum for dropping an artifact and breaking it. He gets along with most of the residents for being a generally likable and helpful guy. His favorites (besides other straw hats) are Linus, Krobus, Alex, and Abigail. Doesn’t get along with Lewis or Morris because he tends to make fools of them with his antics (and breaks stuff at JojaMart). Inexplicably, he can see and interact with Junimos. He also claims he can talk to them but it’s unclear if he actually can or if he’s just making it up as he goes.
Player Interaction:
Rocks up to your farm the day you show up because he didn’t know you were moving in and likes to hang out and forage there. After initially startling each other, he offers to help you clean up the place if he can have some of the food you grow. Agreeing immediately gets you a couple of hearts and now you’re friends, rejecting it makes him shrug and leave. If you mention needing certain materials, he will occasionally send some in the mail if he finds any, and will also send random things he finds. He very much encourages you to let loose and have fun instead of working all day.
Dating/Marriage:
He isn’t a marriage candidate, but you can ask him to move in like with Krobus. You won’t see much of him because he likes to wander, but he’ll help out around the farm before he peaces out for the day. His room is a mess with a hammock in it.
Zoro
General:
He was the last person to get a ride to Pelican Town before the bus broke, and now he’s stuck there. Everytime he tried to leave, he would just wind up back in Pelican Town, so he eventually gave up and accepted his fate. At least the mines give him ample opportunity for sword practice. Since he spends so much time down there, Marlon lets him live at the Adventurer’s Guild. He can be consistently found at the mines, Adventurer’s Guild, and the Stardrop Saloon, but he’ll also randomly show up in various parts of the map because he got lost. He isn’t very sociable, so the only people he talks to all that much are Marlon, Gil, Shane, and Kent once he shows up.
Player Interaction:
Your first meeting happens the first time you try to enter the mine. He’ll walk out of it and tell you that if you’re looking to do some monster hunting that you should come back tomorrow because he wiped out most of the mine. He becomes something of a rival for you in the mines, and there is a leaderboard of sorts comparing your kills to his. Having some competition really invigorates him, so your rivalry turns to friendship easily.  He sends you monster parts in the mail since he has more than he knows what to do with. Once the bus is fixed, he’ll ask if you could take him to Skull Cavern. He tried to go by himself, but well, he somehow got lost despite Pam pointing it out to him.
Dating/Marriage:
The man has no idea what he’s doing and doesn’t understand why you gave him a bouquet, but he tries to go with it. If he does say something romantic, he becomes visibly embarrassed and you won’t be able to talk to him for the rest of the day. If you try to, you’ll just get a text box saying “...” with a blushing portrait next to it. After marriage, he’ll help out primarily by fixing whatever is broken and gifting you more monster parts. He leaves for the mines a lot. His room is full of workout equipment.
Nami
General:
An extremely elusive woman who makes sea charts. The hardest resident to track down because she’ll be gone for days at a time. Willy lets her crash at his shop on the days when she’s in town. She can be found in the Museum/Library, Pierre’s General Store, Carpenter’s Shop, and Cindersap Forest. Once Ginger Island is unlocked, you can find her there on the days she isn’t in Pelican Town. She isn’t around enough to be close with many of the locals, but has managed to make friends with Maru, Penny, Willy, and Leo. She dislikes Pierre because he won’t let her haggle with him.
Player Interaction:
She doesn’t make an appearance until day 5. She shows up at your farm to introduce herself and mentions that she’d love to buy food off you when she’s in town (you will make less money but this will raise your friendship faster). Every so often, she will give you a rare fish she found at sea, but this is uncommon. When you finally make it to Ginger Island, she’ll already be there and make a lighthearted jab about how ‘it took you long enough’. She’ll help you find golden walnuts if you bring her something she’s requested.
Dating/Marriage:
She’s flattered when you give her the bouquet, but also very surprised. You know that she’s gone a lot and won’t change that, right? You do? Oh, okay… Wanna get dinner at the saloon tonight? Your treat, of course. Despite what she says, she will stay in Pelican Town for more days now, but still does regularly leave for days at a time. She offers to bring you with her to Ginger Island when she goes, but you still have to pay. It’s half the price that Willy offers, but it’s one way so you’ll need a totem to get back. After marriage her room is filled with charts and related supplies. She helps out around the farm occasionally, but not often.
Usopp
General:
An apprentice at Clint’s shop (also lives there) who specializes in upgrading weapons. He started working with him as a teenager, and is ready to move on to other things, but lacks the nerve to make that final leap. When he isn’t working he can be found at the Adventurer’s Guild, Cindersap Forest, and lurking around outside the mines. He’s friends with the wizard, Marlon, Sam, and Leah.
Player Interaction:
When you walk into the blacksmith store for the first time, he’ll be in there and start talking big about how he’s the owner and makes the best weapons the world has ever seen. Then Clint walks in and he promptly leaves from the embarrassment of being caught in a lie. After that he’ll give you a proper run down of how he can improve your weapons for you if you provide the right materials. He can either strengthen it by increasing the attack, or enchant it with magical effects. Simply talking to him boosts friendship like crazy since a lot of people ignore him for being a known liar/exaggerator. Sometimes he’ll send materials in the mail along with a letter saying how it could really improve that sword of yours if you bring it in to him *wink wink nudge nudge*.
Dating/Marriage:
When you give him the bouquet, he takes it, stutters out random syllables, and then runs away. He’ll be on your porch the next morning to properly thank you and accept it now that he’s had a chance to gather his thoughts. He brags to everyone about the fact that he’s dating you. After marriage his room is filled with miscellaneous weapons and materials with some blacksmithing equipment outside. You’ll notice that nothing ever seems to break around the farm because he always fixes it before you can see it.
Sanji
General:
He’s a cook at the Stardrop Saloon, and also works as a personal chef for anyone that requests the service. His main customers are Evelyn and George, as well as Pam and Penny. He doesn’t charge Pam and Penny because they’re broke and he’s a pushover (he’s also trying his best to teach Penny how to cook). He can commonly be found at his clients’ homes, Cindersap Forest, the beach, and the spa. He’s friendly with all of the women there, but is noticeably closer with Emily, Haley, and Penny. Elliott and Sebastian are also friends of his.
Player Interaction:
The second you set foot in the saloon, he will be trying to impress you with one of his signature dishes while pitching his in-home cooking service. Gus scolds him for advertising his business at work, while Emily jokes that he’s flirting with the customers again. He hurries back to the kitchen after this. Like Usopp, your friendship will rise just from talking to him, but will also rise if you give him ingredients. He frequently mails you food he’s made and personal recipes. You can buy his services. It’ll show a cutscene of him cooking in your kitchen, plus you’ll get the recipe of whatever he made. Food made by him gives you buffs.
Dating/Marriage:
The man will straight up cry when you give him the bouquet and promises that you won’t regret choosing him. He acts like you’re already married with how doting and lovey-dovey he is, and he drops hints constantly about proposing. You’ll be getting food from him in the mail every single day while dating, and food directly from him every morning when you are married. Helps around the farm frequently. His room is full of bookshelves containing various cookbooks and romance novels, and also an herb garden.
Chopper
General:
Harvey’s apprentice, and has an interest in herbal remedies. He’s very young and new to it but is an extremely promising student. When he isn’t at the clinic, he can be found in the museum/library, Cindersap Forest, or poking around the Community Center. He can also see and talk to junimos. He’s good friends with Harvey, Maru, and Leah. He wants to be friends with the wizard but is intimidated by him.
Player Interaction:
Entering Cindersap Forest for the first time will reveal him foraging for medicinal herbs. He eagerly introduces himself and lets you know that you can buy herbal medicine from him at the clinic. They’re on the cheap side and can heal or prevent status effects. Buying his medicine boosts friendship, but losing all health and ending up in the clinic five times will cause you to lose a heart with him. He worries a lot, don’t do that to him. Expect to get a variety of herbs, fruits, and vegetables in the mail from him with notes about you staying on top of your health (these notes become passive aggressive if you recently lost a heart with him).
Dating/Marriage:
Not a marriage candidate for obvious reasons, and also isn’t available to move in with you.
Robin
General:
An esteemed archeologist working and living at the museum. She moved to Pelican Town because of the area allegedly being an archeological hot spot. She doesn’t stay in one place for very long (except when she’s reading at the library), so trying to find her can be difficult. She doesn’t move into the town until after the bus has been fixed and the quarry is unlocked. The day after both are completed, she shows up and makes her rounds introducing herself to the locals. She can be found at the mines, the quarry, the desert, and Ginger Island, but will also be seen wandering around the map looking for artifacts in unlikely places. While she is very new to the town, she still makes friends with Gunther, Sandy, Professor Snail, and Penny. She also gets along well with the children.
Player Interaction:
She’ll be on your porch when you leave your house the day she moves to town and introduces herself. After that, she asks for a tour of your farm and then if it would be okay for her to dig there occasionally. Agreeing gives you a couple of hearts to start with. If she finds anything on your property, you’ll get a cut of the profit. Every time you donate to the museum, she sends you a thank you note in the mail the next day. While you won’t be able to collect the things she finds first, she’ll give you rare crafting recipes once in a while in exchange. Good luck predicting what she’ll send you in the mail, it’s very random. You could get some food, a hat, some rocks, or even a bomb. She sends whatever makes her think of you, you’re just not sure you can follow her train of thought.
Dating/Marriage:
Receiving a bouquet leaves her speechless but happy once the shock wears off. She’ll say something about wanting to stay in Pelican Town a little longer anyway, and that she’s looking forward to seeing where this is going. Once you’re married, you get bonus items with your rewards for donations. Her room is filled with her most prized finds, books, and archeological supplies.
Franky
General:
A mechanic that’s aiming to fix up the train station and set the town up with its own personal train. He doesn’t show up until spring of year 3. He builds on an extension to the train station that he lives in. While he works extremely hard on the station and train, he does still find time to visit the town regularly. He can commonly be found at the Stardrop Saloon, the Carpenter’s shop, and the desert.  He gets along well with most people, but he’s closest with Robin, Demetrius, and Mr. Qi. While Lewis appreciates that what he’s doing will help stimulate the town’s economy, he wishes he would put some pants on and be a little less… eccentric.
Player Interaction:
When you walk past the way up to where the train tracks are, you’ll hear a lot of noise. Going up there will reveal Franky hard at work repairing the station. Not long into meeting him, he’ll share his plight that while he wants nothing more than to fix this up, he’s really lacking the funds to do so properly. If you want the station and train finished, you’ll need to provide him with the building materials. This boosts friendship like crazy, and he’ll be singing your praise. Once everything is built, you can talk to Franky at the station to order materials in bulk to be delivered by the train. It’s all in large quantities, but it takes a few days to get there. He’ll mail you cola and random materials.
Dating/Marriage:
YOW! He wasn’t expecting the bouquet at all, but he accepts it nonetheless. The next day he will present you with a bouquet of his own creation that he made from scrap metal and some gemstones he had lying around. Will NOT stop hyping you up to everyone in town. After marriage he will give you a family discount on materials from the train. His room is more or less a tool shed and a place to put things he doesn’t use often anymore.

So I've finally finished Bloodhounds (+ ahjussi collection)
...and I have no idea where to start and what to say and how to feel.
Tumblr media
No, wait, please hear me out.
It was b l o o d y and at parts a very difficult watch, as it has lots of explicit fighting scenes, which look extremely realistic and cruel. So cruel that I had to close my eyes and not watch, I even skipped many & i'm not sorry. However, there are also parts so heartwarming that it makes you forget about all the crimes and gore for a moment. So, it's up to you to decide if it's worth the struggle. Since the violence could be a bit too much for many, let's just say I do and don't recommend this one at the same time. Personally, one of things I greatly enjoyed is the subtle comic tone of Gun-woo's and Woo-jin's interactions with each other and their characters which represent people doing sports professionally so well, the purity of their hearts and lack of malice in everything they do, since they truly do live for the sports. Then there are two absolutely powerful and skillful young women, Hyeong-ju and Da-min, playing such important roles in the entire series, each of them individually contributing so much to the entire plan of bringing the bad guys down and saving what could still be saved. And also, one of the most enjoyable parts were definitely the bonds that came out of these newly formed friendships. Younger acting crew did an amazing job. In comparison to the older and experienced ahjussi crew (I'll get to them in a bit), they've got some serious talent. It must have been a huge undertake for both Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi to live up to the expectations of the entire team behind this drama. And they did it. They absolutelly slayed.
Tumblr media
If you still haven't watched this drama, trust me when I say these two cinnamon rolls will instantly win your heart right at the beginning of the first episode. They're like the most perfect two besties you'd want to be besties with too. And yeah, you'll suffer thru all the horrors just to see them win the biggest battle of their lives. Gosh, every time I tried typing something coherent about them it just ended up being lots of crying shaking throwing up. They're the best, ok? And this is best I can do. ╥﹏╥
And while our marine boys scratched so many itches around this platform, I have to mention the absolute gentlemen that starred in this series and swept me off my feet *deepest sigh ever*
So many great actors took part in Bloodhounds, it's hard to believe my own eyes at times. Whoever was in charge of the casting did a killer job. I couldn't even take the bad guys seriously because they're freakishly handsome. Well, at least not until Kim Myung-gil brutally ended my favourite ahjussi trio damn you ep 6
What started as an obsession over two young marine guys and their bromance ended up as a hole in my heart over downfall of three middle aged criminals men and a will to trade all the money and gold bars for their lives. And more importantly, a huge appreciation for Korean actors over the age of 40.
No, let's be real. They're handsome and talented and great at their job and deserve all the love and support. With that in mind... here's a tiny screenshot dump because it would be a shame not to post it:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I want to be normal about them and move on in peace but *internal screams* I've already mentioned Lee Hae-young in one of my earlier posts, addressing my obsession with the character he portrays, the sushi restaurant owner Hwang Yang-jung. And I know many people are obsessed with him too. But no one is speaking up. Which is silly. And tbh I really thought there would be more gifs of him and other men but...there's close to none? Can we talk about how fine this man is? How fine this whole ahjussi crew is? Can we... can we just acknowledge they sliced us all in tiniest pieces possible and burned us all till we turned into charcoal? Can we make a mess of kdrama side of tumblr by excessively posting about them? Pretty please?
It's true, I came for the boys, but stayed for these men. I'm not even joking when I say kdrama has me in a chokehold again, but this time for a whole new reason. Dropping everything just to watch series and movies these guys took part in sounds like the best idea at the moment. I even forgot about the new releases I started watching, which makes me laugh at myself, but... it is what it is. At some point, a girl just has to obsess over her favourite ahjussi, and that's okay.

The seven deadly assholes :
This post is basically me ranting about the biggest bastards in the nnt universe ( I'd rlly like to see other people's opinion on this lol).
7. Ban's Parents
Tumblr media
Ban's parents have the last place in the list ( both on parenting and in being assholes ) . They literally had one page in the entire series and still managed to make it into this list !
Seeing Ban getting beat up in the manga was hard enough but in the anime + the emotional music had me punching the air like a 5 year old .
I hope these two are roting in their disgusting home, crying in rage when they find out that there " crap for brains" son is a wealthy king with a family of his own now .
6. Ironside
Tumblr media
Yet another crappy parent has made it into the running ! Not only did this jerk abandon his son as a baby and dumped him on his father ( is percival even Ironside's son ?) he couldn't let the poor kid live in peace and MURDERED Percy's grandpa, his own father in cold blood before trying to kill percival too leaving him to die .
If that wasn't enough we found out not that long ago that this ass is happily raising HIS OTHER SON in Camelot, proving that he can actually be a good dad... BUT NOT TO PERCIVAL 💀.
No instead the few times they ran into each other, Ironsid tried to kill percival, harmed his friends and even tried manipulating him into thinking he cared for him to take him by surprise in a fight .
Diodra and Percy both deserve a better dad tbh.
5. Cath Palug
Tumblr media
I LOVED YOU, YOU STUPID CAT, I LOVED YOU SO MUCH 😭😭😭😭😭😭 !!
This adorable piece of crap is what triggered Arthur's descent into evil and I will never ever ever forgive him for that.
( I really loved him...)
4. Arthur
Tumblr media
Since I was talking about arthur, I think that the king of chaos rightfully deserved 4th place ( ironically he got 4th place in the popularity contest )
This boy has lost his entire kingdom and his subjects .
He has been betrayed by his closest companions ( Cath, Meliodas when he lost his emotions, Merlin when she used him to awaken Chaos )
He even DIED and came back to life which must've been very traumatising for a teenager ( I think he was 16 during the holy war.
The fact that he went through all of his crap makes a lot of the fandom ( including me ) a bit more emphathising towards him when he became evil .
But he still murdered hundreds of fairy's and giants when they were being manipulated by the supreme deity, ( cursed by light ), capture non human races to turn them into disfigured freaks ( Grudge of edinburgh) and manipulated vulnerable people who lost loved ones in the holy war to join his side . Plus his punishments for knights who have failed his expectations are horrific.
So yeah Arthur your kind of an asshole.
( but I blame merlin and chaos and hopelessly keep believing that he'll come to his senses )
3. Supreme deity and Demon King

A Race, A Challenge and Some Bonding.
These guys need more scenes where the gangs are together.
Shy guy stepping forward with HEAT at the fact that Buddy swung first. I gotta say for him as a former boxer, he would be the guy to point that out. And the shyest guy spoke up first.
Susan.. keeping the peace.? I will try not to hold judgment for her since she literally was trying to throw Richie under the bus to the principle..
The grin that spreads on Gil's face at the mention of a race.
The Soc's knowing of Gil's ability's to race. "No World where you beat Gil Rizzo." I don't know about you guys but now I GOTTA see this guy behind the wheel racing for real. Like.. Even when his car was missing parts he was THAT good!
The Huddle!
"I'm Hungry." Me too, Potato. Me too...
"Pancakes would be nice." "Should we get a table?"
They aren't even worried or talking strategy. Well, they are but a different kind of strategy. Breakfast Strategy.
When Gil steps forward to shake on it, I was like 'there is the co-leader of the T-Birds.' He is confident and in a way, profesional about this. Though I love Richie, I gotta say... Gil looks pretty good here. It may be the fact that he is confident as he steps up to the plate as Richie's second. It also shows that he still thinks of Richie as the leader and hasn't given up on his boy.
Buddy having to take a second before he shakes after hearing 'May the best man win.' Just makes me think of when he talks to his dad and states that he doesn't wanna 'win be default'.
Rizzo and Frenchy getting hyped up seeing 'older kids' doing cool stuff.
Rizzo and Frenchy starting to show that they want to be Pink Ladies and ask to join.
Gil and Rizzo ribbing eachother as siblings do when they are just talking.
And I love the way they are starting to build a repoort with Gil and Jane when they step aside to talk to Frenchy and Rizzo.
The shared look they have hits on several levels.
From being older (responsible) siblings, leaders of gangs and just being in highschool in general, they react in classic sibling denial laugh at the idea of them joining.
"Absolutely not."
"There's a height requirement." Now this one made me roll my eyes when I first heard it and its not until Gil steps up behind them that you CAN SEE THE HEIGHT DIFFERENCE! Im sure there are a few of us on here that would turn into Frenchy if Gil put his arm around their shoulder and said he'd give em a ride.
Jane's "Never gonna happen." It may be to discourage Frenchy from mooning over Gil, but I think she is also a supporter of #Oil.
More Interactions between these guys please...

Do you like triumph of evil in your kdramas? A small rec list for the pessimist in you
If, like me, you got into kdramas way back when or like older kdramas, tragic endings are not a particular surprise - endings where one or both members of the OTP die were pretty common and even unsettling endings that remind you of the world being rather unjust (Bad Guys) also happen.
But I am talking about something more than that - an ending that really socks it to you, by making you feel the villains won, it was all in vain. I confess when well-done, I love the bleakness of that type of ending. So here are my five favorites for this sort of thing:
Hong Gil Dong (2008)
Tumblr media
This story of a rebel fighting to overthrow the mad tyrant and bring justice to the people has the most thoroughly bad ending on the list. Who dies? EVERYONE EXCEPT THE BAD GUYS! I don't mean the OTP, I don't mean your fave secondaries, I mean everyone. The sheer realistic bleakness of the ending is breath-taking. Gil Dong, his OTP Yi Nok and the rest of the rebels are murdered by the forces of the king they put on the throne. The last shot of the story proper is them standing watching a shower of arrows coming towards them, staring at their death. The only survivors are the King and the secondary girl and both are monsters. The king is the man they put on the throne with so much effort but who cannot allow them to live because what they want is not to replace a bad absolute ruler with a different one (that he may have coped with) but to replace the system itself - to hold the king accountable, and he cannot have that. In the end, a mad tyrant has been replaced with a sane tyrant and the class system and the injustices of that society that wrecked Hil Dong, Yi Nok and the rest continue unabated. And secondary girl betrays Gil Dong because - for all her sort of crush - she never truly saw him as human, just a fancy peasant toy that should be thrown away and punished for not behaving as he ought. In the end, the good guys, the heroes, who fought so hard are killed and it's not easy acceptance for them either (there is a scene where Gil Dong, knowing they are all dead once spring comes, admits to Yi Nok how terrified of death he is that has haunted me for a decade plus) and the monsters continue on happily. Sure, the people recite stories and new fighters will rise in their place but it's very much of a "no happy ending in our lifetime" message.
At the time this drama came out, the Hong Sisters were known for their romcoms and this started out pretty goofy - watching it live as it got darker and darker was a hell of a trip and the ending made the fandom insane. But the more I thought about it, the more I loved it, the more fitting it seemed. I love all the other takes on rebels against the crown a la various other HGD and Iljimae adaptations but this one has, to me, by far the most fitting ending.
IRIS (2009)
Tumblr media
Talk about bleak. This drama starts as your standard if high quality actioner about competent glam agents of a secret CIA type agency. And then it all goes to hell in a handbasket for our mains as it turns out a secret evil organization is the one that's pulling the strings, and our protagonist Kim Hyun Jun (played by Lee Byung Hun in my favorite of all of his performances) is sacrificed for complicated reasons that are only gradually revealed and begins his descent into hell. He starts the story as a competent, cocky sweetheart and transforms into a PTSDing shaking hands wreck. And you watch him fight so hard - fight through all the torments inflicted, fight to protect his loved ones and to keep his sanity, and fight to take the evil org down. You watch him slowly rebuild himself, and to slowly find happiness again with the woman he's loved all this time, Choi Seung Hee (played by Kim Tae Hee in my fave of her performances, who has unknowing ties to the org) and to fight over the org and inflict damage on it.
And then we get that ending, as he's finally found some peace and safety, and he's driving to propose to Seung Hee and as he sees her, he's shot in the head, point blank and he lies there, dying, seeing her but not able to reach her, tears falling out of his eyes as she waits oblivious for a man who will never come and it's made so clear that the org goes on, that nothing has been defeated and that it has all been for nothing - he's been killed as a punishment to him but also as a message to Seung Hee that nobody ever escapes - for her to find his body and realize it was all for naught. And it is also made clear that there was NOTHING he could have ever done to avoid this fate except if his parents made different choices before he was born (!!!) Talk about bleak. I sobbed for hours.
Ja Myung Go (2009)
Tumblr media
I've just posted about this one so I am not gonna re-do the comments but yeah, it ends with the OTP death, the kingdom destroyed and the one winner is King Daemushin, the bad guy. The God of Battles wins again. Sure he lost a son but he's got other sons. Worth it, would think the old monster.
My Country: the New Age (2019)
Tumblr media
The rest of the dramas on this list are older. This one is not. Our two main protagonists die in the end but that is not what makes it so bleak - what makes it so bleak is that nothing of what they wanted came to pass. In a way, it's a bit of a Hong Gil Dong redux situation - there is a new ruler on the throne but he's not any better than the old ones and he's cleaning up the people who put him on the throne. Hwi especially fought so hard for a place and then just to have some peace and he gets neither, the man he fought so hard to put on the throne being his murderer.
What Happened in Bali (2004)
Tumblr media
Ooof, this drama! We have four main characters and at the end, two of them are dead, shot by the third one who turns the gun on himself. The only survivor is the ice cold secondary girl who would probably not pause sipping her morning coffee when hearing the news.
This is a story of people damaged and ruined by a bunch of monsters who suppress any hope and anything good and cause more and more damage - we watch the three mains claw at others and at themselves hoping for happiness and connection and love and it all gets dismantled and set on fire repeatedly and in the worst way. It's perhaps the starkest with Jo In Sung's Jung Jae Min - who you watch taken apart and driven to extremity slowly and gradually over the course of the drama. And his monstrous family ends up triumphant at the end - even in death and murder he was not monstrous enough for them to fit in - and now they will continue their lives.
PS The scene where he shoots Ha Ji Won's character right as she's just finishes telling So Ji Sub she loves JIS and wants to go back to him and she tells him "I love you" for the first time ever as she lies dying - that lives in my head rent free forever.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire - my takes, thoughts and stuff I kinda got wrong
SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED THE MOVIE!!!
1) First off: things I definitely got wrong after thoroughly enjoying the teaser trailer…
James Acaster = NOT OSCAR BARRETT. Snarky scientist employed by Mr Zeddemore? Yes, absolutely. Anyone else get a slight Alan Tudyk vibe from his character?
Secret Society? Well, kind of? Not late 1890s but STILL Victorian era. And, why exactly would these “Adventurers” want to release a revenge-bent ancient deity? Because they can? For that matter, did they maybe kidnap Nadeem’s grandmother, or steal the orb from her? There’s so much more to her story (and presumably her family/predecessors in regard to keeping Garraka’s prison safe and hidden) we don’t know about…
On that note, Garakka wasn’t trying to escape the containment unit, he wanted to release all the ghosts within it (that the guys had caught AFTER 1984? after Peck originally turned it off? Gil, more details and context please!)
But I DID get Patton Oswalt’s character right! Li-freaking-brarian! And the whole “under-library?”Totally borrowed from the Video Game (Special Archives level!)
2) Couldn’t help these ideas, they just popped in there…and sort of in order of the movie’s chronology:
-How EXACTLY did Walter “Dickless” Peck go from the EPA to MAYOR OF NYC?!
-Darn that final edit! I liked the bit with “overruled! sustained!” from Paul and Finn.
-Couldn’t Winston have helped fix up the firehouse a LITTLE more over the last, what 2 years? I mean, it’s a business AND a single family home now!
-Also guessing they hauled as much of Egon’s equipment, tech and books as they could from Summerville to Manhattan, right?
-Love Janine being back and as sassy as ever…but mainly throwing in one-liners for the sake of exposition? Which I got a kick out of, don’t get me wrong, but they could’ve gone a little deeper with her character, possibly? Guess I’m still not happy with how much of Annie’s scenes got cut in “Afterlife…”
-Glad Callie’s embraced her Ghostbuster heritage. And look at her piloting that drone trap! Boom!
-OMG Phoebe. I have ALL the feels for her moreso than before. 15, frustrated, feeling isolated…and upping the acerbic sarcasm to 11…then doing something that very well could be read as, maybe more than purely experimental?, at least in my mind (look closely…when she gets into that extractor, her heart rate drops to 42 bpm). And what if something went wrong with the timer?
-And OMG when Melody double crossed her…was I the only one who thought they’d kiss, maybe? Anyone else think of that plot device from the newer DuckTales first season? Just me?
-Or did the orb and wax cylinder give anyone Venture Brothers season 3 vibes?
-Or how the “open rift over the firehouse to the spirit world” idea totally made me think of new Doctor Who, season 1?
-Oh yeah, Kumail is a fire MASTER, and NOT a Fire BENDER!
-One more: NARNIA AND MIDDLE EARTH JOKES!!!
Damn, I need a part 2 after all these pop culture mentions. I’ll pick this up tomorrow.
Peace out, Ghostheads!

Thenamesh au.
Gil and Ikaris are in a trainingsmatch. Ikaris wants Gil to use his full power but he refuses, too kind to use it against his eternal fam. So Ikaris decides to be provocative but Gil is unfazed till he starts saying hurtful things about Thena and their dynamic. He goes on and on til Gil looses his patient and starts using his full power while he is extremely angry. He even uses his power on his feets to increase his speed. Ikaris realizes after a few dangerous strong punches that he doesn’t have a chance against him but Gil is in his rage mode and won’t stop even if the others are shouting at him. and before it escalate to a life and death situation Thena is interfering.
"Come on, Gil!" Ikaris taunted, flying around the stadium. "At least give me a challenge!"
But Gil waved his hand through the air, dismissing Ikaris and his attempts to rile him up. "Will you take it easy, man? This is just a training match."
Thena was always telling Gil to be careful of Ikaris' pride. It was both his greatest weakness and his greatest motivator. She said she often found herself fighting Ikaris' pride more than the Soaring Eternal himself.
"Ah, scared you can't take me?" Ikaris chuckled at his brother's laziness as they circled each other. "Is your full power not as strong as we think it is?"
"You don't wanna see my full power, man," Gil continued to dismiss him, which he could see was starting to get to him.
"Five minutes," Ikaris tipped his chin at him.
"No."
Ikaris frowned, his jovial mood vanished. "You can't even do me the honour of an even match?"
"Guess not," Gil shrugged. His eyes drifted to the exit behind Ikaris, "we done here?"
But the Soldier Eternal had seen the slip up, and his opportunity was seized. "Oh, I see."
"What?" Gil frowned. He didn't like the tone in Ikaris' voice.
"Girlfriend waitin' for ye, Gil?" Ikaris asked with an entirely new sense of mockery to him. His eyes lit up at the opportunity to rattle his foe's cage a bit. "Got a hot date after this?"
"Watch it," Gil advised his brother. There were certain things that were over the line--off limits, in a way. And it was pretty understood - if unspoken - that the women in their lives fell into that category.
"Look, whatever floats your boat," Ikaris held up his hands in a play at civility.
"Ikaris," Gilgamesh glared, his fists starting to glow while still gripping his arms folded around himself.
"Is it an opposites attract thing?" Ikaris tilted his head at him in just the most demeaning way possible. "You're the soft to her sharp?"
Gil unfolded his arms, his fists glowing gold, "second warning."
"Ooh, I got 'im mad," Ikaris landed, standing in front of Gil with a borderline manic grin. "Maybe I should see if she's up for joining us? If you don't mind sharing her, that is."
"Last chance," Gil bit out, his feet impacting the ground as his energy built around him. "You say one more thing about her-"
"Relax Gil, she's all yours," Ikaris chuckled, drawing up his fists as he did. "Silent and bitchy isn't really my type."
Gil shot forward, propelled by his Cosmic Energy. Ikaris took to the air, but he couldn't fly fast enough. Gil caught his ankle, slamming him down into the ground so hard the floor cracked under him.
Ikaris grunted and gasped as the air was forced out of his lungs from the impact. He tried to pick himself up, but Gil was on top of him in a second, slamming a foot down into the chest plate of his armour--the only thing keeping him from getting his actual chest caved in.
Gilgamesh gripped the collar of Ikaris' armour, spinning and throwing him into the far wall. The room rattled in his wake. "Don't ever!"
Ikaris couldn't hear him. He couldn't hear anything past the rush of his own blood in his ears.
Gil landed punch after punch, twisting Ikaris' head this way and that. "Don't ever talk about her like that!"
Ikaris tried to charge his eyes, but Gil was coming at him too fast to get them powered up. One of them was almost swollen shut anyway. One of his ears was bleeding and his jaw was close to being dislocated.
Gil raised his fist, layering his energy upon itself until it felt heavy for even him. It would be enough to shatter every bone in Ikaris' body, maybe even plow right through their flawless armour.
Ikaris just looked at him, not one to back down from a fight, let alone one he started, "do it."
"Don't."
It wasn't a plea, so much as a lazy scolding. A slim hand came up and caught Gil's arm before he could land a punch that even Ajak would struggle to heal. He recognised the touch, and his Energy fizzled into the air around them.
"Thena," Gil blinked, his chest heaving with breath as his adrenaline and rage drained out of him. She lowered his fist back to his side slowly.
She looked as if she had interrupted a petty squabble, and not two Eternals out to kill each other. "I've never seen you rise to taunts before, Gilgamesh."
He sighed, looking back at the Soldier Eternal. He didn't exactly feel bad for the damage he'd done. Ikaris deserved it, as far as he was concerned. But he let Thena pull him away to follow her out. "I guess he got in my head."
"Hm," the Warrior Eternal offered neutrally, her hand travelling down his arm until she could take his hand in hers. The last of the tension in him drained out, as if she could take it from him and absorb it for herself.
"Sorry," Gil murmured, not that either of them were entirely sure for what he was apologising. He was walking beside and yet also following her, "he just...the things he says-"
"I am well acquainted with Ikaris' methods in the heat of battle," which was to say that he would say and do anything to rile up his opponents. There was no line Ikaris would not cross.
Gil nodded, offering a deprecating little smile, "I'm sure he never gets to you like this."
Her hand gave his a faint squeeze, and then she wasn't leading them anymore. She came to a stop beside him in the narrow hallway. "I wouldn't say that."
Gil was sure she was just saying that. He had never seen her get ruffled by Ikaris' dogging. He smiled, though, "thanks for tagging me out, anyway."
Finally, Thena smiled at him. "You did say you would be making honey buns, today."
Gil grinned before bursting into a laugh that made him feel infinitely lighter. "Oh, so that's what brought you?--just the promise of sweets?"
"Of course not, Gilgamesh," she admonished him with a smile of her own, "what kind of partner would I be if that were my only reason?"

On Sara’s feelings in “Immortality”
“In her better moments, Sara still believed Grissom had loved her once.  She still believed it had been worth the risk, to be with somebody who really got her and who, for a time, loved her for who she was.”
*Don’t worry; it’s just me getting emotional about “Immortality” again.*
Somewhere on this website there’s a post about how your ideal ship is your type + someone you can project onto.  (Unsurprisingly, I couldn’t find the post, so my wording may be off.)  I would not historically have thought of Gil Grissom as my type, but smart, handsome, funny, caring, and confident (in some settings) while vulnerable (in others) probably fits the bill.
Do I project onto Sara Sidle, though?  That is an absolute yes.  I (thankfully!) did not have her tragic childhood, but otherwise I generally identify with the tall, smart, awkward, (unfortunately often) short-tempered brunette.  I generally feel like I am viewing the GSR love story through her eyes.
That said, I always try to imagine Grissom’s perspective as well, and there are definitely moments where I strongly identify with him—especially when he is floundering in inaction because he doesn’t know how to proceed (ask out the one he loves, tell her about his sabbatical, etc.).
I have a lot of feelings about the moment when our two lovely science nerds see each other again for the first time in “Immortality.”  Historically I have thought a lot about what Grissom must be feeling in this moment.  He’s come back to the lab for the first time since the divorce.  He’s tried to “White Fang” his wife/love of his life, and, as such, he’s not kept in close contact.  He doesn’t really know what’s going on in her life anymore.  He doesn’t know if she’s moved on.  He doesn’t know how she feels about him now.  He doesn’t even know if she’ll feel like the same person, or if instead he’s succeeded in breaking their bond.
(Please excuse me now while I go sob.)
A few months ago, though, I started getting especially emotional about Sara’s feelings here.
In undergrad, I did an overseas exchange.  One of the guys there decided we were best friends, and for about a year and a half we kept that up, even after I returned home.  But he started dating one of his other friends, she (unsurprisingly, in the full circumstances) didn’t like me, and… yadda, yadda, yadda… he ghosted me (long-distance).  I was truly heartbroken; I’d really loved this silly kid.  (Think Greg & Sara, though, not Grissom/Sara.)
Roughly two decades have passed since then.  It took a while, but I got over it.  In my waking hours, I am genuinely at peace with it all.  But then, every once in a blue moon (almost literally, since we had a blue moon last week and this happened again a couple nights ago), I have a dream where I meet up with this guy in person, and I’m always super, super excited in the dream finally to have this opportunity for closure.  Then I wake up, realize that it was (yet again!) just a dream, and am super, super bummed.
Back to the science nerds:
I can’t imagine Grissom comes back to divorce Sara in person.  I don’t think he could go through with the divorce in person.  So, like me, she kind of gets ghosted long-distance.  They never really hash things out, and she never really gets proper closure.
To quote myself, “In her better moments, Sara still believed Grissom had loved her once.  She still believed it had been worth the risk, to be with somebody who really got her and who, for a time, loved her for who she was.”  But, to quote myself again, “She wondered whether he’d tired of her.  She wondered whether she had simply helped him transition from the lab to the next stage of his life.  She wondered whether she’d merely been his midlife crisis….  Sara knew she’d never love any man but Grissom, but sometimes, in her worst moments, she wondered whether he’d ever really loved her at all.”
I think that, even two and a half years later, she still doesn’t really understand what went wrong between them.  (In all the circumstances, she couldn’t, really.)  I imagine she has dreams where she sees him again and they finally get to hash things out.  I imagine she has dreams where she sees him again and finally gets closure.  I imagine, most significantly, she has dreams where either they reconcile or they never broke up.  Then she wakes up and reality hits her like a gut punch.
I imagine that, in the years between their divorce and their reconciliation, Sara isn’t sure whether she will ever even see again this man she’s loved so desperately for fifteen-plus years.  But I imagine her (day)dreaming about what it would be like to get to see him again—to talk to him in person again—and somehow to shake some answers—some understanding—out of him.
Then suddenly he’s coming back to Vegas—for Heather (she thinks)—and the for Heather part is definitely a slap in the face.  But in other ways it’s like a dream come true.  Even if he’s coming for Heather, at least maybe now she’ll get some better explanation.  At least maybe now she’ll get some better understanding.  At least maybe now she’ll get some closure.
And then… “I’m back.”  But also… “Guess your cell service is better than it used to be.”  And also… “Wow, 30 minutes in the car, no words.”
But on the other hand… “I miss working side by side with you.”  And… “There’s a great mammal in the ocean known as the 52-hertz whale.  All year, he practices his love song for the female.  Travels thousands of miles to find her….  They call him the lonely whale.  And year after year, for a hundred years, he works on a new love song and never, ever gets a call back.”
And it’s all so confusing, and he’s still completely inscrutable.  Half the time he has nothing to say, but then he’s going and claiming it’s because seeing her again left him a little speechless.  What on earth is she supposed to do with all that?  He still has nothing to say to her: “Sara didn’t know what she’d expected him to say to her, in the end; it was clear he still had nothing.  Eventually she’d had to be the one to say goodbye.”
After all this, I imagine she is as confused as ever.  After something like 36 hours of non-stop anxiety, she somehow has even less closure than she had before; her gaping wound has been torn even farther open.  How is this her life???  But then….
There’s a videotape.
The point is, when I think of all of Sara’s thoughts and feelings and anxieties and sadness during this time… it’s a lot.
And I’m so very grateful that, in the end, she finally gets to sail off into the sunset with the man she loves. She deserves it.

Nancy and Olivia walked together down the dark and empty halls of Rydell in silence. Olivia just wanted to wait out the storm alone but Nancy said it was important. The pair stopped in the middle of the hall, in front of the janitor’s closet.
“So what’s so important Nancy?” Olivia questioned, turning to face her friend. “Just a second.” Nancy told her, eyes flickering behind where Olivia stood. Both Olivia and Nancy heard two more voices coming from around the corner.
Jane and Cynthia appeared walking towards them, even though it seemed more like Cynthia was dragging Jane along. Before Olivia could have anytime to react or voice her disdain, Nancy opened the closet door and shoved Olivia in. Cynthia pushed Jane right behind Olivia before the door was shut.
Nancy and Cynthia leaned all the weight against the door as Olivia started to push the door to try to get out. “Come on, this isn’t funny, let me out.” Olivia yelled as she pushed harder.
“No, you two need to talk because this fight is getting ridiculous.” Nancy yelled back. “Guys, this would be a great time to help.” Cynthia called out. Gil, Shy Guy, and Potato all appeared from where they were hiding and leaned against the door.
When Olivia realized that trying to physically get out wasn’t working, she turned to threats. Threats in English, in Spanish, about how dead they all were when she got out as she banged loudly against the door.
Jane stood near the corner, out of Olivia’s eyeline and line of fire. Subconsciously, she starts fidgeting, playing with her fingers and wringing out her hands. She presses against the corner as if trying to hide in the shadows.
After Olivia realized that the threats weren’t doing anything, she sighed and went to sit down on an upside down bucket. “Let me guess, this was your idea?” Olivia asked, not bothering to even look at Jane.
“Because little miss sunshine thinks everything can be solved with optimism and peace.” Olivia said condescendingly.
Jane frowned. “I had no clue. Cynthia just said it was important and dragged me out of the library.” Jane said quietly, her voice carrying in the small and echoey space. Olivia rolled her eyes before turning to actually look at Jane.
Her eyes were red was the first thing that Olivia noticed about Jane. The whites of her eyes were all red and the skin around it was puffy, like she had been crying before being dragged away.
Olivia could feel her anger fuel up again. Olivia was losing her brother and Jane was crying? It wasn’t fair. But the part of Olivia that she has been trying to ignore ached.
That part just wanted to wrap Jane up in her arms and hold her and promise that everything would be okay.
That part was getting harder to ignore. That part who was in love with Jane Facciano. The part that adored her endless optimism and her drive to make sure that high school was fun for everyone. Things her logical side had come to despise.
That part that ached to be the one that received Jane’s affections like her brother once did. The part that took over as Jane looked at her with those big brown eyes like Olivia hung the stars and the moon in the sky.
“God, you make it impossible to be mad at you when you look at me like that Facciano.” Olivia let out a dry laugh. “Look at you like what?” Jane’s voice was innocent as she was the only one who couldn’t see the effect she had on Olivia Valdovinos.
The space between her eyebrows wrinkled as Jane furrowed her eyebrows with confusion. Olivia stood up from where she was sitting and crossed the distance of the small closet in one step, landing in front of Jane.
“Looking at me like that. With all that love and admiration and not an ounce of hate or anger because you're Jane, you can’t hate anybody.” Olivia’s voice had slipped into that softness that was reserved for a certain brainiac.
Now closer, Olivia could see why people fall head over heels for Jane Facciano. She might look at Olivia like she hung the night sky, but Jane was more.
Jane was the sun. Bright and strong. Always there to try to make things better for everyone. Her determination, her spirit, her hope, her love. How she poured all her love into people.
Olivia brought her hand to rest on Jane’s cheek, smiling as she felt her cheeks warm under Olivia’s touch. “It was always you.” Jane blurted out.
“Huh?” Olivia asked. “It was always you. Ever since that first day under the bleachers, it’s been you. Richie is nice and all but if anything, he was just a substitution for who I really wanted.” Jane started to ramble.
Olivia watched as Jane went on and let her love confession turn into a snowball rolling down a hill. Getting bigger and bigger as Jane went from one point to another.
“The point I’m trying to make is that it was you and I never meant to hurt you and I’m sorry that I did because I like you Olivia. More than like you. Like you in a way that I’m not too sure of yet.” Jane finished.
Jane’s hand was resting on top of Olivia’s which still rested on Jane’s cheek. Olivia let her hand fall in favor of wrapping her arm around Jane’s waist and pulling her closer to her.
Jane’s breath hitched as she grew red at the close proximity. Her eyes flickered between Olivia's eyes to her red lips and back to her eyes.
Olivia caught it, her lips curled into a small smile. Jane could feel Olivia’s breath fanning across the lower part of her face. Jane’s hands reached up to cup Olivia’s face, the pads of her thumbs ghosting over her cheekbones.
Olivia’s own breath hitched as if all the oxygen in the room was sucked out. Both girls stood nose to nose, the air around them buzzed with anticipation. Jane leaned forward and pressed her lips against Olivia’s.
Olivia responded eagerly, her arms tightening around Jane. The kiss was hungry, like they had been deprived from each other for too long. Jane’s hands went from Olivia’s face to tangle into her curls.
Olivia felt warm all over her body. It was like the sun truly lived inside of Jane and that warmth and love was taking over her own body as their lips stayed sealed.
Jane felt a constant buzz. Electricity coursing through her veins, fueling her to keep kissing Olivia. Her heartbeat was quick as the lack of oxygen became apparent.
The pair separated, foreheads pressed together and breathing heavily. Pink cheeks and small smiles. “I like this a lot better than fighting.” Jane laughed. Olivia let out her own laugh, tucking a strand of Jane’s hair behind her ear.
“You and me both Janey.” Olivia placed a short sweet kiss onto Jane’s lips, smiling at how her red lipstick left a light stain on Jane’s usually pink lips.
The two looked at each other before erupting into giggles. Olivia brought Jane closer into a hug, Jane’s arms around her shoulders.
Jane was very huggable. That was something that Olivia always knew. Maybe it was all the love she had in her heart or maybe how she always wanted to make someone feel better. Oliva never knew why her hugs were good.
What she did know was that it was impossible to feel upset when Jane hugged you. You just felt safe and comforted by the girl who had the sun in her heart and in her smile.
They stayed like that. In a closet lit by one measly light bulb while their friends stopped them from leaving. They knew what would be out there when they left. A literal storm that still raged over Rydell.
Along with it, a metaphorical storm. A storm of secret kisses in the shadows, holding hands under blankets, the constant fear of getting caught. Their relationship in the dark.
But Olivia was the stars and the moon and Jane was the sun. Their love would forever shine bright as long even in the darkest of times.

Note
the pru/pol/liet and pru/rus/liet is fucken too funny. we got Liet over here both with his red-string-of-fate type bestie and lover Feliks who may also have decided to invite their arch enemy and forever hated guy over for a maybe threesome that doesn't happen because him and Liet are trying to psychically evaporate the other. Then theres Rus with his 2 boys :) except wait on I think the boys are getting too frisky ;) no hang on no they weren't being kinky, they were actually legitamately trying to murder each other whoopsie. Everyone thinks they have immense sexual tension then gets horrified to realize that the tension is final girl horror movie protag with the main villain type of tension of a i will kill you, i want it to be you that kills me thing but they're both at all times. Basically no matter how much they hate the other they have their own thing going on that no one else is invited into it.
Omg Anon yes from a centuries long narrative standpoint Ruspruliet and lietprupol are exquisite. A dynamics that has both the historical narrative to work with as well as the horny fun ship stuff is a rarity and these four have both.
You have the constantly shifting balance of power during the crusades with Gil's main foe being Tolys. The three are in a decades long Mexican standoff with no end in sight.
Then you have the fact that the polish king Konrad I Mazowieckie who decided "hey Teutonic knights you love Jesus and so do we let's ally!" And this bit them on the ass so much that Poland allies with Pagan Lithuania this shifts the power away from Gilbert.
Then you have the commonwealth where Feliks and Tolys are married and have a sitcom ass family dynamic with gil in the role of like adopted troubled child who wants to puke seeing Tolys and Feliks' marriage shenanigans.
Then you have the partitions! So begins Feliks' century of self discovery and Tolys' century of reconnecting with his identity as lithuania. The power has flipped to where Gilbert has the upper hand. Polpru marriage time as well
Then after WWI you have the real lietpol divorce era where Feliks doesn't take it well when Tolys declines Feliks' offer to rekindle an old flame.
This doesn't get resolved really at all but rather put on pause when more pressing matters like WWII put their spat on pause.
Now after the war Tolys and Gilbert are reunited basically but this time neither of them have the upper hand and things are shitty for both of them. And to make things worse Ivan is breathing down their necks and even worse spouting nonsense about peace and friendship under the banner of communism like the world's worst school assembly. They are in a shitty place but the other reminds them of their glory days of killing each other. It's an odd dichotomy of emotion here.
Ivan's like "let's all get along we are all friends!" then back tracks and is like "Not that well!" when he walks in on Gil and Liet fucking on his desk.
Then there's gil's relationship with Ivan and Tolys' relationship with Ivan which aren't relationships you want your arch rival to see
And the shift from Feliks being the common denominator here to Ivan is quite fascinating and really illustrates how these two are foils of one another.
The four of them are constants in each other's lives and no matter how the scenes change and the script leads them, they remain standing on the same stage. And let me tell you I told Eddy that they play off each other like a string quartet and I mean that.
Tolys and Gil come to slowly realize that you and your enemy aren't that different and it's abundantly clear when Ivan has leveled the playing field so your now both beneath him.
Then for Feliks and Lietpolpru where Feliks is often the determinator, as he says it's always his turn he doesn't back down and he makes unexpected allies. Feliks compliments both of them it's hard to explain but I hope you get the jist.
Here's my map of the time line
Pre commonwealth: Lietpru and Polpru
Commonwealth: Lietpol side of Lietpru Polpru
Partitions: Polpru and Rusliet
Post WWI: one sided lietpol
Cold War: Ruspru and Rusliet → ruspruliet
Modern day has many possibilities
Lietpru endgame
Lietpru + ruspol (Ivan and Feliks are miffed that Tolys chose Gilbert over them, and they bond over feeling like they've been wrong)
Rusprulietpol (ultimate golden ending)

Chapter One: Who's The New Kid?
No One's Pov
It was never an easy task for a person's soul to rest easy in the Afterlife. Many believe that once you die, there's just darkness. But, that's not entirely true. You see, here in Jumadeung, resurrection is the main goal for a soul to find peace, no matter how deep their wounds may be.
But, for the souls that had committed many crimes in their past life, they are faced with a Judgement Day. Said day determines how long and how severe your punishment will be. And there's only two people that a soul sees last before finding their eternal resting place. The Director and their Punisher.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Soo.....now that I'll be working with you guys, is there anything I should know before meeting the Director?" A young voice chimed with curiosity. There was a short silence in the room before a woman spoke, her tone serious.
"There is. Legend has it that the Director has only one person that takes care of all the work behind the scenes of souls coming in and out of Jumadeung. When it comes to her role here at Jumadeung, she is known throughout the company as the Director's sole punisher. With each soul's trial that ends in punishment, Kim Y/n is always there to torture those souls with the crimes they've committed in the Land of the Living before sending them off to the hell assigned to them. I even heard that she transforms into the soul's victim which makes her even more terrifying." Ryeon explained.
"Is that what you think of me?" Y/n said, popping up behind Ryeon and scaring the wits out of her. "When did you get here?" "Just now, when you said my name. You know, I'm not as scary as those rumors make me out to be. I'm a very childish person at heart." Y/n explained, moving closer into the room and circling around Jun-woong. "Now, let's get to work, shall we?" She said, skipping down the steps and plopping herself on the couch across from Jun-woong.
"So, this is your mission's mistake? The half-and-half?" Y/n chirped. "Ah, yes, my name is Choi Jun-woong. It's nice to meet you, Miss Kim." Jun-woong replied, giving a slight bow. "No need to be polite, just call me Y/n. Miss Kim makes me feel old." "Oh okay."
"Y/n, do you happen to know where the Director is?" Ryeon asked. "I don't know, they could be out running some errands. They did ask for me to tell you to meet in the conference room to discuss Half-And-Half's placement. I would take him under my wing, but he might actually die in my care, so..." Y/n answered, her words trailing off into a whistle.
"What?" Jun-woong let out a small squeak in fear. "Oh, just so know, all those rumors that Ryeon said about me is true. Anyways, newbie, I should get going. Duty calls." With those being her last words, Y/n hopped up from the couch and left the room.
"Should I be afraid of her?" Jun-woong questioned the two members of the Risk Management Team, who looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders. "Only if you get on her bad side and trust me, it won't be a pretty sight to see." Ryung-gu said, his deadpanned look sent chills down Jun-woong's spine.
"Well, we have to get going. More like I do since Assistant Team Manager Ryung-gu is off the clock now. All you have to do, Choi Jun-woong, is to stay here until the Director gets here to discuss how these next six months are going to go." Ryeon explained before she and Ryung-gu left, leaving Jun-woong to his thoughts.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Grunts and shouts echoed in the empty room as punches and slaps landed on the soul chained to the ground. "How does it feel, Papa? Do you like it when I give you a taste of your own medicine?" A small voice screamed with cruel laughter tied into it.
"Mi-yeon, please, Papa is sorry! He never meant to hurt you!" The soul cried out in pain, sobs shaking his body. "You never meant to hurt her? Did you feel sorry when you slapped her multiple times for getting one bad grade? Did you feel sorry when you came home drunk and started choking her? Or did you feel sorry when you would go into her room at night and start touching her? I don't think you were sorry at all or even felt a shred of remorse." Y/n whispered into his ear.
The soul, now bruised and bloody, began to cry even harder and started begging for the torture to stop. "Please...please, I'm sorry, Mi-yeon, I'm so sorry..." "No amount of 'sorry's or apologies will fix anything. Your daughter is gone and it's all your fault. So, for the rest of your afterlife, you will never be resurrected again. You'll spend the rest of your eternal afterlife will be spent in Hell, reliving all the pain and suffering you've inflicted on your daughter. Your five year old daughter."
The whimpers dwindled down into silent sobs as he finally realized that he'd never get another chance to right his wrongs with his child. He fell limp in Y/n's arms and stayed that way as she began to drag his limp body to the door leading her down to Hell.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On her way back into Jumadeung, Y/n stopped by the front desk to return the keys to the receptionist. Y/n turned around and started making her way to the elevator when all of a sudden, she felt a hard shove push her down to the ground. But, before she could hit the cold floor, strong hands wrapped themselves around her soft waist and she was pulled into a hard chest.
"Are you okay?" A deep voice rumbled quietly. Y/n, snapping out of her small trance, pulled away from whoever caught her and looked up to see Park Jung-gil, Leader of the Escort Team, holding her by the waist. She quickly pushed him away, her cheeks heating up in embarrassment.
"U-uhh, yeah, I'm fine. I'm okay. Thanks though, for helping me." She stuttered out. She then stepped to the side and went on her way, not feeling the lingering eyes on her as she walked into the elevator. "Hmm, interesting..."
