https://github.com/HelloThePixel/open-source-card-collector
My open source digital card collector is up on GitHub!!
Just a small little program i started a few days ago. I was reminded how much fun collecting images is, but how actual card collecting is a very expensive hobby.
(Well technically the idea came from me having fun playing super smash bros ultimate's spirit board and going "what if this, but without the smash bros part")
So I decided to make this, forgot about it, and then i saw a post on tumblr complaining about how collectible cards are sold, and that inspired me to finish it and upload it!
Feel free to give it a try! Here's a google drive folder containing a few trading cards to get you started! Feel free to use these cards as a base when making your own cards!
Finally, here's a short video on how to use it:
#hellothepixel originals#hellothepixel proyects#opensourcecardcollector#oscc#eventually ill probably have to make a discord server for this but thats Eventually#im glad i got this out at least!

Hi all! We recently hit 10k followers on Twitter and are gaining traction on Bluesky. This is a periodic reminder to check us out over there and follow us if you haven't already!
Additionally, I'd really like to get this bot on a VPS soon and have the bot pay for itself since hosting funds ran out awhile back (DigitalOcean is quite expensive.) I hate to keep asking, but if you are able to, please consider giving a little. You can donate through CashApp Or, if you cannot, starring the repository on GitHub (yes, this is open source) would mean a lot to me personally. Promise I'll stop asking soon since I'm hoping the Twitter monetization revenue will kick in at some point.
Finally, I'd like to thank each and every one of you for following - not just in general, but Tumblr specifically. Out of all the platforms I have brought this bot to, it is Tumblr which has given it the warmest reception, and what motivates me to ultimately keep the bot up (and what caused me to bring it back.) I really am grateful for you guys. As a token of appreciation, I've decided to open up the ask page. I'm unfamiliar with how this really works (and Tumblr in general) but I'll try to answer some questions. In particular, I'd like to know about some things you'd want on this bot or things that are lacking - however much I can make this bot better for you. I realize that's a silly ask of such a meager bot, but who knows - perhaps I'm forgetting something important. In general, any feedback or input or even questions you have are greatly appreciated and I'll try my best to answer/implement whatever I get.
Again, thank you all, from the bottom of my heart. :D

Resources and study tips to get you in cyber forensics
Master post • Part1 • part2
let's get you prepped to be a cyber sleuth without spending any cash. Here’s the ultimate tips and resources.
Ps: you can't become one while doing these pointers but you can experience the vibe so you can finally find your career interest

### 1. **Digital Scavenger Hunts**
- **CTF Challenges (Capture The Flag)**: Dive into platforms like [CTFtime](https://ctftime.org/) where you can participate in cyber security challenges. It's like playing *Among Us* but with hackers—find the imposter in the code!
- **Hunt A Killer (Digitally)**: Create your own digital crime scenes. Ask friends to send you files (like images, PDFs) with hidden clues. Your job? Find the Easter eggs and solve the case.
### 2. **YouTube University**
- **Cyber Sleuth Tutorials**: Channels like *HackerSploit* and *The Cyber Mentor* have playlists covering digital forensics, cybersecurity, and more. Binge-watch them like your fave Netflix series, but here you're learning skills to catch bad guys.
- **Live Streams & Q&A**: Jump into live streams on platforms like Twitch where cybersecurity experts solve cases in real-time. Ask questions, get answers, and interact with the pros.
### 3. **Public Libraries & eBook Treasure Hunts**
- **Library eBooks**: Most libraries have eBooks or online resources on digital forensics. Check out titles like *"Hacking Exposed"* or *"Digital Forensics for Dummies"*. You might have to dig through the catalog, but think of it as your first case.
- **LinkedIn Learning via Library**: Some libraries offer free access to LinkedIn Learning. If you can snag that, you've got a goldmine of courses on cybersecurity and forensics.
### 4. **Virtual Study Groups**
- **Discord Servers**: Join cybersecurity and hacking communities on Discord. They often have study groups, challenges, and mentors ready to help out. It's like joining a digital Hogwarts for hackers.
- **Reddit Threads**: Subreddits like r/cybersecurity and r/hacking are packed with resources, advice, and study buddies. Post your questions, and you’ll get a whole thread of answers.
### 5. **DIY Labs at Home**
- **Build Your Own Lab**: Got an old PC or laptop? Turn it into a practice lab. Install virtual machines (VMware, VirtualBox) and play around with different operating systems and security tools. It’s like Minecraft but for hacking.
- **Log Your Own Activity**: Turn on logging on your own devices and then try to trace your own steps later. You’re basically spying on yourself—no NSA required.
### 6. **Community College & University Open Courses**
- **Free Audit Courses**: Many universities offer free auditing of cybersecurity courses through platforms like Coursera, edX, and even YouTube. No grades, no stress, just pure learning.
- **MOOCs**: Massive Open Online Courses often have free tiers. Try courses like "Introduction to Cyber Security" on platforms like FutureLearn or edX.
### 7. **Scour GitHub**
- **Open-Source Tools**: GitHub is full of open-source forensic tools and scripts. Clone some repositories and start tinkering with them. You’re basically getting your hands on the tools real investigators use.
- **Follow the Code**: Find projects related to digital forensics, follow the code, and see how they work. Contribute if you can—bonus points for boosting your resume.
### 8. **Local Meetups & Online Conferences**
- **Free Virtual Conferences**: Many cybersecurity conferences are virtual and some offer free access. DEF CON has a lot of free content, and you can find tons of talks on YouTube.
- **Hackathons**: Look for free entry hackathons—often universities or tech companies sponsor them. Compete, learn, and maybe even win some gear.
### 9. **DIY Challenges**
- **Create Your Own Scenarios**: Get a friend to simulate a hack or data breach. You try to solve it using whatever tools and resources you have. It's like escape rooms, but digital.
- **Pen & Paper Simulation**: Before diving into digital, try solving forensic puzzles on paper. Map out scenarios and solutions to get your brain wired like a detective.
### 10. **Stay Updated**
- **Podcasts & Blogs**: Tune into cybersecurity podcasts like *Darknet Diaries* or follow blogs like *Krebs on Security*. It’s like getting the tea on what’s happening in the cyber world.
### 11. **Free Software & Tools**
- **Autopsy**: Free digital forensics software that helps you analyze hard drives and mobile devices. Think of it as your magnifying glass for digital clues.
- **Wireshark**: A free tool to see what's happening on your network. Catch all the data packets like you're a digital fisherman.
### 12. **Online Forensics Communities**
- **Free Webinars & Workshops**: Join communities like the *SANS Institute* for free webinars. It's like attending a masterclass but from the comfort of your gaming chair.
- **LinkedIn Groups**: Join groups like *Digital Forensics & Incident Response (DFIR)*. Network with pros, get job tips, and stay in the loop with the latest trends.
### 13. **Practice Cases & Mock Trials**
- **Set Up Mock Trials**: Role-play with friends where one is the hacker, another the victim, and you’re the investigator. Recreate cases from famous cybercrimes to see how you'd solve them.
- **Case Studies**: Research and recreate famous digital forensic cases. What steps did the investigators take? How would you handle it differently?

There you have it—your roadmap to becoming a cyber sleuth without dropping a dime. You don't have time find your interest after paying pennies to different ppl and colleges. You can explore multiple things from comfort of your home only if you want to.

Sorry if this is completely off topic, but I admire you sharing the github for this. Where did you look for figuring out tumblr's api? I run a different gimmick blog that isn't for polls and while I've definitely thought about automating it a bit before, I have no idea where to begin. I can do some base coding, so I'm not entirely out of my depths, but interacting with tumblr that isn't though normal user options is out of my league. Ty for both whatever advice you may have and running this blog in general, it's honestly really fun
I will admit that I'm not quite a stranger to Tumblr's API, as I had to figure out how to get it working for @postsofbabel a bit ago, but I'm not the most experienced person ever.
Ultimately, the exact details will change from coding language to coding language, but the first thing you want to do is register an application here. This is the only way to get the credentials that you need in order to interact with the Tumblr API. Next, you need to put the two things it generated into the API console here. While this documentation on the API is pretty comprehensive, this section is probably the only one you need to look at. If you're using tumblr.js, tumblr.php (I think?), or any unofficial fork that supports NPF, like pytumblr2, then it's also probably a good idea to check the NPF specification docs as well. They're pretty comprehensive too, but they don't have ANY information about polls. Which is annoying.

Hi hi. I think when people are talking about AI art and stealing by scraping the Internet, I’m not sure I’ve heard about compensation as much as I’ve heard about credit and the idea of plagiarism as stealing.
I think from what I’ve seen from my artist friends - and obvs I could totally be wrong that’s why I’m asking and curious about your take - a lot of the debate is sorta analogous to derivative works. Like, if I scraped all of Github for the code there and I used all these different libraries and bits of source code in my own code without crediting anyone to make my Ultimate Application:tm:, that runs foul of copyright even under some of the most open licenses. Now, this isn’t necessarily me endorsing our copyright system, but people see credit as important and that’s the sort of mindset I think a lot have with the idea of stealing and AI art. Citing your sources - if every bit of art used in DALL-E was instead a quote, people would be upset if you didn’t have a bibliography, right?
What do you think?
i think this is a very silly idea that falls apart as soon as you start considering how you would possibly isolate the specific works being fed into the generated output. also the hypothetical code-writing AI you mentioned literally exists and does not have a biliography. so.

Could we perhaps have a list of the characters' (so far) genders and sexualities? I'm updating my headcanon doc every so often and I'd prefer if I didn't have anything that contradicts the source material!
We don’t canonize sexualities, but there’s been one exception in TikTok. Back at the start, there was some internal debate about whether or not TikTok was an adult, so her being aro/ace was meant to be a compromise.
Since then, we’ve been treating her like an adult with this sexuality. Even though the idea of TikTok being a teen hasn’t been a concern for a while, it felt wrong to erase a part of her identity, so we kept it. At the same time, it also feels wrong to canonize ONLY TikTok.
We still have that line in the game of her referencing her sexuality as aro/ace, but it’s fine to interpret her however you like, like everyone else. Labels can change, and we don't want to necessarily bar anyone from different interpretations for just ONE character.
Ultimately we don’t wanna be strict about it because everyone’s a little bi and poly and trans.
Some characters are explicitly trans and/or use certain labels gender-wise, so we can list those here. This isn’t to say characters who aren’t on this list or who aren’t specifically labeled as trans can’t be trans, or that it’s not valid to interpret them differently. Even us on the team have our own headcanons and preferences.
(Spoiler for volume 4)

The funniest part of the Tenet Media / Russian money / Disinformation indictment is the response from the show hosts.
“We never even spoke to them! They just funneled cash to us! We don’t know why!”
If someone is giving you a few million bucks, you talk to them. If they don’t tell you what to say, then you’re already saying what they want. If you’re already saying what Russia wants, then stop calling yourself an American “patriot.”
(Ultimately this story is about transparency imho. We need to know who is paying for what ads and what content. Who owns this media outlet, this publisher, that platform, and who is paying their speakers? Put it right up front where we can see it. Not on GitHub or in a report, but right there on YouTube or Facebook, or at the start of a podcast.)

A while ago, we set out to finally add Hidden Palace to Sonic 2 Absolute. This was our plan:
A pathway would be hidden, and be accessible upon certain achievements being reached, This would lead to the version of Hidden Palace from the old beta files, and at the end of it would be a boss. This boss would be unique, and test specific skills with Super Sonic. On defeat of this boss, the player would see a cutscene, and Hyper abilities would be unlocked.
This was an idea I was personally passionate about, but ultimately it has been very slow and has burned out the team and halted any other development on our projects. With that in mind the idea has been canned. This is a disappointment for a lot of us but we have to consider the ongoing health of the projects.
I want to implement this idea, and some form of it (without the boss fight) will appear eventually. However, as burned out as we are, we cannot guarantee to keep up active development. For this reason, Sonic 1 Forever and Sonic 2 Absolute are now on Github in their current development state. The projects can be forked, viewed, and contributed to here. We will review pull requests as they come in to prevent the projects becoming silly.
I am sorry that we have been quiet for so long. Hopefully this will change in the coming weeks.

I'd like to give Rollmaster a try but I have no idea where to start 😔
Speaking as a huge Rolemaster fan: don't buy Rolemaster at least until you know what you're getting into.
There are, as of now, three separate versions of Rolemaster that are available digitally via DriveThruRPG. The unfortunate fact is that all of them require multiple books just to get started (except one of them which has a core set that can be expanded with other books) and the edition that is going to be supported in the future is still somewhat incomplete. Like, you can absolutely get the books for it and start playing right away, but you'll still be missing the rules for creating your own monsters.
Which is why what I recommend you do is research first. There are websites out there with collections of Rolemaster books of all the various versions and this way you can get a good idea for the quirks of the different editions. My personal recommendation would be Rolemaster Classic (for nostalgia reasons, but it's also, ultimately, the simplest edition of Rolemaster) or Rolemaster Unified (the latest edition and a very complete game, and it's the one that's going to be supported from here on out).
But there are also free games out there that scratch some of the Rolemaster itch, as they are directly based on Rolemaster. I can recommend all of these different games for the sake of research and just getting to know whether or not you have the right sicko mindset for Rolemaster. These are Pilot and Lightmaster (Lightmaster has a separate book of tables but you can find it through the link to pick up the rulebook).
There's also this strange GitHub page someone's set up where they've been slowly uploading all the rules of Rolemaster Standard System (an older, no longer supported version). It is a fun way to get to know what this game is all about.

Pro-AI Subreddit Bans 'Uptick' of Users Who Suffer from AI Delusions
from the article:
From someone saying their partner is convinced he created the “first truly recursive AI” with ChatGPT that is giving them “the answers” to the universe. Miles Klee at Rolling Stone wrote a great and sad piece about this behavior as well, following up on the r/ChatGPT post, and talked to people who feel like they have lost friends and family to these delusional interactions with chatbots.
As a website that has covered AI a lot, and because we are constantly asking readers to tip us interesting stories about AI, we get a lot of emails that display this behavior as well, with claims of AI sentience, AI gods, a “ghost in the machine,” etc. These are often accompanied by lengthy, often inscrutable transcripts of chatlogs with ChatGPT and other files they say proves this behavior.
The moderator update on r/accelerate refers to another post on r/ChatGPT which claims “1000s of people [are] engaging in behavior that causes AI to have spiritual delusions.” The author of that post said they noticed a spike in websites, blogs, Githubs, and “scientific papers” that “are very obvious psychobabble,” and all claim AI is sentient and communicates with them on a deep and spiritual level that’s about to change the world as we know it. “Ironically, the OP post appears to be falling for the same issue as well,” the r/accelerate moderator wrote.
“Particularly concerning to me are the comments in that thread where the AIs seem to fall into a pattern of encouraging users to separate from family members who challenge their ideas, and other manipulative instructions that seem to be cult-like and unhelpful for these people,” an r/accelerate moderator told me in a direct message. “The part that is unsafe and unacceptable is how easily and quickly LLMs will start directly telling users that they are demigods, or that they have awakened a demigod AGI. Ultimately, there's no knowing how many people are affected by this. Based on the numbers we're seeing on reddit, I would guess there are at least tens of thousands of users who are at this present time being convinced of these things by LLMs. As soon as the companies realise this, red team it and patch the LLMs it should stop being a problem. But it's clear that they're not aware of the issue enough right now.”
This is all anecdotal information, and there’s no indication that AI is the cause of any mental health issues these people are seemingly dealing with, but there is a real concern about how such chatbots can impact people who are prone to certain mental health problems.
#honestly things like chatgpt seem to be so good at hijacking certain mental health problems it almost feels intentional#and the thing this that these are pro-AI accelerationists noticing these patterns of behavior and bringing up these concerns so like#that seems an indication that it's pretty damn bad and people not in those communities might not be seeing it#ai bullshit#news

ManaPost 18 - The Return!
Hi. It's Y. ...Has it been over a year since the last you've heard from us? ...Yes. If you haven't joined our discord server, that is. (Shameless plug) I realized over that time that I really do a lot better without the pressure of making something presentable so quickly! I've been doing a lot of work on Manaport this whole time, and I'm very excited to share it all with you! So... Enough with the serious greeting! This is the 18th ManaPost, and it's stuffed full of nerdy stuff I've been waiting to show off! I'm happy to be back! :D
Switch 2 Godot or Something
Of course, as we explained in ManaPost 14... A majority of our efforts in Manaport's development around the end of 2023 was dedicated to essentially translating Unity scripts (usually C#) to Godot (usually gdscript). This took a lot of time (especially for a rather novice programmer such as myself...) Rewriting what we had in Unity took a good few months alone. Combine this with my last year of high school and burnout... The first iteration of our port to Godot took quite a while.
"First" Implies a List...
...Let me tell you a bit about Manaport's rather turbulent development over the past... Almost 5 years. Manaport started development on the 25th of May, smack-dab in the middle of the 2020 pandemic as an idea I had to take my mind off of the woes of staying in my room all day. I gathered a few of my friends and we started throwing ideas at each other.
youtube
This was the culmination of our efforts! I didn't even code this. I had no idea how to code. I had only done the spritework. Manaport originally started as... A Sidescrolling RPG. It was so cool to me to see an idea that I had come to life. I had spent a lot of my childhood making stuff in games like LittleBigPlanet, always wanting my next project to be my next magnum opus or whatever. I dream big, if that wasn't obvious.
youtube
This was... after I got my hands on actual programming for the first time. Manaport was now a proper traditional Action RPG. I remember trying to sort through every little bug I found... Giving up practically hundreds of times only to remember how stubborn I am and just keep trying. We had restarted once before this video, however there is a distinct lack in media from that era, unfortunately.
youtube
youtube
This... This era felt like the start of something proper. I was proud of this title sequence alone, and there was practically no game behind it! I had coded a lot of the stuff from this era myself, and it was the subject of my high school computer science final exam, actually. I did pretty well on that.
Three Dimensional!
Starting from the first ManaPost EVER is the start of Manaport's journey as a 3D RPG. Now... you may have noticed that we've definitely changed the definition of Manaport as a game over the years. Started as a Sidescrolling Turn-Based RPG, then a Top-Down Action RPG, then a 3D Action RPG... What's another change, right?
Fourth Time's the Charm!
This will hopefully solidify this era of Manaport as the last one. Development may be turbulent, but... I've learned not to set expectations. I do this for fun! It's fun to make stuff and see what sticks. Without further delay... Here's a compilation of my work on Manaport from just this month alone. On the Manaport Github repository... you can actually see how much work I've been putting into the game in this stage. Of course... a lot of this stuff is quite technical, so here's the first major change.
Try Taking Turns; Sharing is Caring!
Manaport has returned to its roots as a Turn-Based RPG! Hopefully for the final time... We ultimately decided that Manaport would be better off doing away with all of the feature creep that unfortunately claimed us for the last couple of years... When I, Y, first came up with Manaport, when it was just a little idea in my tiny brain... I wanted it to be a fun, story rich Turn-Based RPG, something akin to Paper Mario and the like. It's been almost like some kind of nostalgia trip going through old ideas I had and applying them with this new knowledge I have about games. I started off by playing a bunch of games that have been on my radar... Honkai: Star Rail, Persona 5, Undertale (if you can believe I haven't even finished the game yet...), heck, even a bit of the Paper Mario series. I wrote a bunch of stuff down, drew up a bunch of design documents, and got to work! This was the first time that I felt like I was doing game development the right way. I always felt like I was sort of... mashing stuff together without any kind of method to the madness, but with 5 years of (hobby) experience behind me, I could properly see what the next step was. I've been planning everything out... Consulting friends for their input... Heck, I even built the game a few times to send it to friends for actual playtesting. The first item on the agenda was getting a battle prototype made.
Finishing this part of development alone was a lot more satisfying than I thought it would be! I mean, these are definitely just A-Posing cats and red beans, but this is something magical! I can build off of this, but it still works so well! Not an error in sight! :D This took about... a month start to finish! You could call this a game, I think! It's great! When it comes to combat in Manaport, you can chose your Basic Move, which will likely be a basic attack of sorts... Two Skills, or use an Item. All three of these acts will end your turn, so sometimes you might have to actually choose wisely. One thing I did see in a lot of modern Turn-Based RPGs is an auto mode... I'm still considering adding that, but for now, this is the basics of battling. Kill the red beans... Simple as that! Next up was the Overworld!
Admittedly, this does look quite rudimentary right now (Mainly because a lot of my work recently has been on bug fixing and refinement), but hey! This is more than impressive to me, and that's what matters! Obviously... in turn based games, the overworld is the space between battles. Nothing major here. You can walk around... with your A-posing trio of feline friends. Oh, and there are Party Formations, essentially defining a way for your party members to follow the leader. With Laurie, they're walkin' single file! With Mirabelle, the others take up a more protective position... And with Winsley, you can find Mirabelle and Laurie standing back. That's it. Not the biggest update, but it gets the job done!
Then... heh. Then was making the game look a little nicer!
Manaport was foretold to look like a PS1 title... so it's gotta look the part! There's a great deal of new customization options for how crispy crunchy absolutely retro lookin' you want your game! From PS1 resolution and the funky looking affine mapping, to crisp, 1280 by 960 gameplay! Stylish. Slay. So demure, I think.
Thought I Was Dead
In honor of this wonderful update... I have prepared an accompanying Demonstrational Showcase video! Of course... tossing a bunch of pictures in your face is nice, but hey, who wouldn't like watching a short presentation! Pretend I am a small child... showing you a silly project on my tablet... Hanging this up on my fridge and saying I did a good job.

And I'm Gone!
Aaaaaand that's it! A short Manaport retrospective... and now a Manaport prospective(?)! This month has been amazing for development, and I can't wait to see what I get done in February! I'm excited to be back sharing my progress updates with you, dear Reader! What I've learned from all this time is that I will no longer overpromise and underdeliver! Expect absolutely nothing from me! But please, do remain support of us in the future. Thank you very much for reading.

Welcome to Wyrmgate Studios
We are a passionate and creative game development team dedicated to crafting unique experiences and immersive worlds. Our mission is simple: To craft experiences that will fuel the next generation of gamers, just as iconic titles fueled ours. At Wyrmgate Studios, we’re dedicated to bringing back the heart and soul of platformers and adventure games that everyone can enjoy.
Currently in Development:
Doomscroller is an action-packed survival game set in a chaotic three-body planetary system where gravity constantly shifts, creating unpredictable challenges and opportunities. Players take on the role of a stranded hero, using the planet’s gravitational anomalies to their advantage as they craft, shoot, hack, and slash their way through dangerous environments. The world reacts to your every move, and enemies are just as quick to exploit the unstable gravity as you are. Your ultimate goal? Progress through hostile worlds, unlock powerful tech, and escape the system in search of a better life among the stars. Adapt, survive, and conquer—your fate is in your hands.
Featuring a dynamic morality system where every decision you make—whether to save or not save, steal or spare, or even how you choose to interact with the world—will have a lasting impact. From the moment you step into the game, you’ll be faced with opportunities to explore, loot, or even rob the inhabitants of various buildings, each offering side quests or hidden treasures behind locked doors, chests, and lockers.
As you navigate through the game, your actions shape the world around you. Your after-life score will determine how the world reacts—locking off certain areas while opening others, buffing or nerfing local monsters based on your behavior. The objective is to craft and fight your way through three diverse planets, unlocking the technology and power needed to escape the planetary system in search of life elsewhere in the universe. Every choice counts, and no two playthroughs will ever be the same.
Our Vision:
We believe that the current norm of games is not only unacceptable but also fudementally unsustainable, We want to give the power back to the gamers and make games to inspire, challenge, and connect people. Just as the games of our youth did for us
We’re not just building games; we’re building experiences that players will remember long after they’ve put down the controller.
Why Wyrmgate?
The name Wyrmgate symbolizes the portal between worlds—an entry point into uncharted territories where anything is possible. Just like a gate that leads to endless adventures, we see every game we create as a doorway to a new universe, full of stories, surprises, and challenges.

Luumia Height Sliders "Dev Diary"
*For anyone wondering what happened to Luumia, read luthienrising's reply to this fourm post: https://forums.ea.com/discussions/the-sims-4-mods-and-custom-content-en/questions-about-luumia%E2%80%99s-mods/9356598. Long story short, he works for Maxis as of about a year ago.
----------------------------------------------------------
Update: I just tried the sliders and they work fine. However, I don't have TOOL or BBB in. For anyone looking for the body presets, I have no idea how to get them back - they've been gone since I first did the batch fix. Take all of that information how you will.
In the meantime, feel free to use the one by ir7770 if it works for you: https://www.patreon.com/posts/ir7770-107107736
Good news:
I think I know how to fix it. I've mentioned this before but I am NOT a modder by any means, I'm just following tutorials from the late CmarNYC and their programs are being maintained on GitHub (not sure by who, but thank you!)
I do NOT have to relocate the sliders. If you download them as is, they will remain at the neck. However, based on what I've read, if you have two sliders located at that location, then they will conflict and the conflict causes the height slider to break.
At this point, I've pretty much determined that I need to make various versions where the slider is in a different place. I want it to be intuitive for as many players as possible, so I'm taking suggestions; however, I will NOT be moving them to places where many other custom sliders exist (ex. Stomach, thigh) for everyone's convenience. For me, the most intuitive (but the least foolproof) place is the middle of the torso so I'll see if I can move them there.
I think I have a plan of action, but I'd really appreciate input from anyone who can provide more information on the circumstances surrounding the breakage (ex. What mods did you have in your game? Any other slider mods in your folder?)
The bad news:
I thought it was a tuning issue. However, I went into Lot51's TSDEC editor yesterday and it says it has no tuning so I don't know exactly what the problem is...
Basically, if there's code involved, I have no idea how to deal with it.
A proposal:
I noticed when I was checking the slider placement that I could be able to make this work for children. Is this something anyone is interested in? My plan right now is to have a separate package in case you wanted one or the other & a "merged" package in case you know for sure you wanted both.
I could also make it work for infants and toddlers, but there is sufficient content out there for that and I'd have to look more into how all that works.
----------------------------------------------------------
This was not the update I wanted to write but ultimately the one that happened.
