TW: Blood/nose-bleeds
How would Sun and Moon (both human and animatronic) feel/react to the reader having nose-bleeds?? Especially when it’s the first time they see reader have ‘em. As someone who has a lot of them, and quite frequently too, I have wondered about this, quite a lot
And I’ll completely understand if you don’t want to answer, this is (in many ways) a weird question, I’m just curious is all
I don’t think it’s a weird question! (I used to get nose bleeds a lot when I was younger so I know how it goes 😅)
Human Sun (Solaris): He’d panic. Depending on the AU, Solaris usually has a handkerchief on him and would fumble for it frantically before gently taking MC’s face into his hands and holding the kerchief to their nose all the while babbling about how everything would be alright.
“A-AH! Hold on! I have a-! Here it is! Here! Keep your head down! It’ll be okay! Promise! Did you hit your nose? What happened? Everything’s going to be alright! W-we’ll get the bleeding to stop and then get you cleaned up! Oh dear.”
(Meanwhile MC probably had it handled and is bemused at Solaris’s panic.)
Animatronic Sun: This Sun would also panic. Rays shooting out in shock before pulling in in destress. He’s got tissues for when the little ones have runny noses and would scramble to get them.
“DEWDROP! Y-you’re bleeding! I’ve got- I have! Where did I put them! Here! Oh! Try not to get any blood on the floor! Tilt your head forward! Come sit over here! It’s okay! Are you okay? It’ll be okay!”
(Sun’s biggest worry is you but he’s also a little concerned about any blood that gets on anything. It is a bio hazard)
Human Moon (Lucien): He’s panicking but doing his best not to let it show. Lucien would probably take MC’s face into his hands and look for any damage or distress before finding something to stanch the flow of blood.
“What have you done to yourself. Come here, let me see.” He’d use a calm voice and if MC was upset he’d provide forehead kisses and murmur reassurances.
Actually he’d probably provide forehead kisses anyway. His silly little starlight started to bleed out of nowhere.
Animatronic Moon:
I wrote a little bit about Animatronic Moon handling a Reader nose bleed in A Door You’re Unable to Close (though it’s brought on by MC slamming face first into a play structure)
I’ll slip that down below.
I cowered on the floor, hands clamped over my ears as Sun struggled and screamed, his shift over to Moon a painful one as Sun fought to prevent it.
It took longer than I would have liked to kick myself to move. Sun's scream turned into a growl as I forced my legs underneath me and scrabbled at the floor to pull myself into a run.
"You're up past your bedtime."
I didn't chance a look as I ran for the closest play structure. Moon's voice was as raspy and creepy as it was in the game. There was a faint red glow behind me, then with an evil giggle, it was suddenly gone as Moon, presumably, using his cord to lift into the air.
Dashing across the floor to the nearest play set, Moon dropped in front of me, and I had to skid to a stop and change directions.
I could barely see the padded floor before me in the dark, so I didn't see the kiddie chair set to the side until I'd tripped over it.
I was sent flying into one of the plastic walls of a play structure with a yelp. Smacking into it face first, pain rocketed up my nose accompanied by a metallic smell.
This was pathetic. I was going to be caught, and I hadn't even made it into a structure.
Slowly, I sat up, tears pricking at the corners of my eyes as pain radiated from my poor nose.
A whimper left me as I lifted my hand to my nose and found that hot, sticky liquid was trickling down my face. Was that blood? Had I broken it?
Then Moon landed next to me, and I panicked, scrambling away with a pathetic panicking noise.
On my hands and knees, I dove for one of the tubes at ground level but got stuck, back hitting the top of the tube. I'd have to slide through on my stomach if I wanted to get any further, but I wasn't given the chance.
"Stop. You'll hurt yourself more."
Large hands easily halted my escape, snagging me around the middle and lifting me out of the tube and into the air.
"N-NO!" I yelped, covering my nose and squeezing my eyes shut.
Moon had caught me so easily. There'd been no chase; I'd just immediately put myself out of commission. Would he kill me now? Choke me to death like he did in some of the fan fictions I'd read? Maybe he'd take me to Vanny, and she'd kill me.
Tears were pouring down my face now, body trembling, blood dripping into my hands from my throbbing nose, convinced that this would be my end. I'd lost the game so quickly, and there were no save files I could switch to.
Carefully, the hands holding me set me down on the edge of the security desktop.
My eyes flew open, and I looked up, confused and scared, into red eyes. With a soft, comforting noise, Moon carefully pulled my hands away from my face. I struggled, but the animatronic was much too strong.
"Let me see what you've done," Moon murmured, his red eyes flicking over the tears and blood.
A flash of blue light blinded me in the dark, leaving me squinting with an afterimage left in my eyes.
"You didn't break it, but I'm sure it hurts."
I was having a really hard time processing what was going on. Moon wasn't trying to kill me. Instead, he was caring for me as though I was a small child who had had a tumble.
I did have a rather nasty tumble, but I wasn't a child.
Though I am crying like one… and my nose really hurts.
"I-if you're not going to hurt me, t-then why aren't you allowed to come out anymore?" I asked, voice muffled from my messed up nose.
Moon just stared at me. That was probably not what he'd expected me to say in this situation.
"Stay." He instructed before vanishing into the dark.
He didn't answer my question.
If Moon wasn't dangerous, why had Sun tried so hard to keep him contained? Or maybe switching between the two hurts, and that was all that was to it? But Sun seemed too nervous about the lights for that to be the only thing. I was missing something. Had something happened that made Faz co. forbid Moon from coming out with anyone in the daycare? That would explain the generators. But what had happened?
Hugging myself, I trembled on the desktop, adrenaline still coursing through my body as I came down from my scare, blood dripping onto my knees as I let it flow, not wanting the hot red gross to flow down my throat.
"Here." A paper towel was gently held to my nose, and I flinched, having not seen or heard Moon's approach.
"Head down till the bleeding stops, then we'll use a cold pack on your nose for a bit to help with the swelling."
Holding the paper towel to my nose, I did as instructed and tilted my head down. Moon was standing just to the side of me, crouched slightly, his face plate level with my head, as he reached up to rub my back with one of his massive hands comfortingly. The stars on his puffy jester pants and the little nightcap on his head were glowing faintly in the dark.
"Thanks…" I mumbled.
Moon said nothing, continuing to watch me, hand still on my back. We sat there in silence until my nose stopped bleeding, then Moon brought me the cold pack I'd been using on my shoulders.

Skorri sat in place hidden behind one of the many pillars of the keep, across the hall she could see Lady Efrideet following suit, hiding in a similar spot behind a pillar just shy of the stairwell.
Her lovely ivory and bronze armor glinting gently where the stray light caught it, it made the singer's heart skip beats.
She looks beautiful and excited, just as excited as Timur, the warlock had been glowing for days, it was great to see his mind free of the stress that often plagued the him, never had he seemed so young.
Down the hall she could just make out lord saladin's silhouette, he was frowning like always but even skorri could see Timur's vigor had infected him as well, he too was invested in the mischief about to unfold before them.
It seemed everyone's spirit's were high, for once things were unexpectedly looking up for the iron lords.
Beautiful music filled the echoing halls of Felwinter peak, it shattered the dreary ambiance, Tchaikovsky's symphonies filled the silence, their notes chasing each other around in timeless loops.
The delightful trap was set and now all that was left was for the iron lords to wait, and to Skorri's surprise and Timur's pure delight they didn't have to wait long.
The drowned out sound of a bed chamber doors creaking shut could just be heard just trickling through the obnoxiously loud classical music, across from her skorri can see Lady Efrideet brimming with mirth and excitement, as lord Felwinter emerges from the staircase true to Timur's predictions.
She finds herself holding her breath as the curious iron Lord descends the staircase, his right hand is full of paperwork, no doubt charts and data sheets but he doesn't bother setting them down, instead the curious Exo immediately heads for the antique record player, there he hovers around it for a good while, curiously looking about, but obviously too infatuated by the machine to thoroughly scope the parameter for hiding iron lords or even question the suspiciously empty common space.
Eventually he reaches his hand out, metal fingers plucking the nail up and setting it back two tracks, his head tilted elegantly downward as he listened to the mystifying.
He looked like an artistic sculpture, standing so still near to the table, the machine who was all sharp edges and elegant posture, for once looked..at peace..
Fleeting light crept in from the windows, illuminating the thick faded fur of thr robe against his back and catching the horns of his well worn helmet.
He looked utterly radiant in his little moment of private peace, skorri could practically feel Timur's soul leaving his body, and silently hoped the man had the strength to go through with the prank he himself orchestrated.
Again Felwinter set the nail back, the exo had no doubt found his favorite song, his finger tapping against the table once, twice before the iron lord finally pushed away with all the reluctance of a sailor under a siren's spell, slowly vanishing into the nearby study, to no doubt deal with the moutain of charts wedged under his arm.
This was her cue.
Her heart slammed in her chest as skorri darted out from behind the marble piller, to her left Lady Efrideet was practically vibrating in place, quickly motioning for her to go forward before the iron lord returned.
Skorri swallowed her apprehension, if she was caught it was game over, with a brief scope of the room and hall leading to the study Felwinter had retreated to, she dashed forward swiftly closing the distance between her and the record player.
The moment her nimble fingers plucked the needle from it's track the melody adruptly died, instantly the room was all too quiet and Skorri felt her heart freeze under the weight of apprehension.
"Pssst!"
The singer jolted as a small sound jumpstarted her reflexes again, it was Timur, the man was waving wildly, pointing from the study door to her hiding spot, quickly she replaced the record, leaving the nail idle and carefully placing the pilfered record on the table, then she darted out of sight, sighing in relief as the shadow of the piller cast a cool concealing shadow over her.
Luckily for the songtrist she had made it just in time!
It was mere seconds before Felwinter's silhouette reemergred from the study, his peculiar ram helmit pointed towards the idle player

Star, sorry to keep attacking you with these fic/ficlet ideas but, you know how the bots taunt Gregory thoughout the game? What if he subconsiously answers them? You know, something along the lines of... Roxy: I bet you don't even have friends. Gregory: No, I really don't. Roxy: Wait, what? And... Roxy: You are nothing! Nobody will miss you! Gregory: That's right, I'm nothing. Everyone hates me and I won't be missed. Roxy: Hold up! I got the idea from Ao3 comment, believe it or not.
Here we go with the tumblr generated prompts, starting with number four! I modified some of the taunts for creative purposes. I also took this more in a comedic direction, aka, Gregory snaps back and I kinda poke fun at how dumbed-down the animatronics were in the game, lol. With a fluffy ending, naturally.
If You Can’t Take It, Don’t Dish It Out
Gregory cracked open the photo booth curtain to keep an eye on the nearby elevator. He’d pressed the down button, but Roxy had joined him on the mezzanine before it arrived. He could just wait for her to wander off again. Or he could put his Fazerblaster to good use.
Roxy prowled closer. “Give up, kid,” she snarled. The elevator dinged, and the doors began sliding open. “You’re just a loser, and no—”
“Takes one to know one!” Gregory hollered as he leapt out of the photo booth and zapped Roxy in the eyes with his Fazerblaster. She howled and flinched back, giving him enough time to dash to the safety of the elevator. He stuck his tongue out at her as the doors closed.
“I’m not a loser!” she screeched, muffled. There was a thump that suggested Roxy had stomped her foot.
He snickered and selected a floor. Seemed like he’d hit a nerve.
• • •
Gregory skidded into the security office and slapped the button to close the door behind him without a moment to spare. Chica nearly slammed into it with a squawk. She scrambled at the metal for a moment before shuffling over to the window. Her creepy eyes glowed down at him.
“I’m here to help! Your family is looking for you!” Chica said, gratingly cheerful. For robots that could seem uncannily alive, sometimes they were dumber than a box of rocks. Did she think he’d forgotten how she was the one who just chased him in there? Besides…
Rolling his eyes, Gregory shot back, “That’s a pretty big change of heart, considering they’re the ones who abandoned me.”
Chica’s head twitched. Her beak opened, then snapped shut. Shocked speechless, awesome.
“Shoo,” Gregory said, trying to wave her away. “Go think up new stupid lines somewhere else.”
She went, grumbling to herself.
(To her credit, the next time they crossed paths, she tried, “I’m here to help! Freddy is looking for you!” Which—yeah. Not much better, but funny as hell. Her awareness that Freddy cared about him was at pretty ridiculous odds with how blind the animatronics were to how Freddy was helping him.
Especially since Gregory was literally climbing inside Freddy’s chest at the time. “Your friends are pretty dumb,” Gregory said as they watched Chica stop and wander off as soon as the hatch closed.
“I—they are not…” Freddy sighed. “Yes. Yes, Gregory, they are.”)
• • •
Gregory was feeling pretty good. He had less than two hours before he was free to go, and he’d just sent Roxy into her fourth tantrum of the night by responding to her taunt of “You are nothing!” with “I know you are but what am I?” Giving robots existential crises was turning out to be fun.
In terms of bad one-liners, though, Monty was on a whole other level.
“You can hide, but you can’t hide!”
Gregory face-palmed. “And you can talk, but gosh, you really can’t talk. This is just embarrassing.” He continued along the catwalk at a leisurely pace.
Beneath him, Monty was turning in rapid circles as he followed along across the mini-golf course, as though that was at all helpful in his quest to catch Gregory.
“There are no thoughts in your head, are there? Just static and some crap programing.”
He almost felt bad for the animatronics. Given that Freddy was fully capable of intelligent conversation, it seemed the rest of them had been seriously downgraded. At least, Gregory kinda hoped they weren’t usually like this. Freddy deserved to have friends who were more articulate than a pull-string talking toy.
• • •
Way to go, superstar! Well done, Gregory! Great job, superstar!
No matter how many times Freddy congratulated him or cheered him on or praised him for even the smallest victory—and he’d done it many times—Gregory couldn’t seem to respond. He always just ducked his head or turned away, biting back a pleased, nearly bashful smile.
Sarcastic comments, mocking taunts, insults—they rolled off him like water off a duck’s back. And he had no trouble dishing them out in return. Same old, same old.
It made him feel silly, then, that it was Freddy’s kindness that silenced him so thoroughly. All night, he was left stumbling over being complimented.
But it also got easier to hear, bit by bit, the more Freddy said that sort of stuff, his beaming smile audible even if his face couldn’t quite show it.
As the barricades began to rise, letting in the early morning sunlight, Freddy knelt down and gathered him into a hug and said with utmost sincerity, “I am proud of you, superstar.”
Gregory, at long last, was finally able to find his voice. He pressed his forehead to his protector’s shoulder. “Thanks, Freddy,” he said quietly. “I couldn’t have done it without you.”

your writing is beautiful and always make someone's day.
Take care of yourself and thank you for your time and sharing your talents with us
Awh thank you!! Reader will be gender neutral for this one
........
“Pasta Night”, as the local Creepypasta bar liked to call it, was always something you looked forward to!
Not only did you get to play games with your fellow freaks of nature (even though many were very much unnatual), but you could be yourself.
Blending in with humanity was often a challenge, and at first glance most people wouldn’t even suspect that you were hiding in plain sight. You looked like a plain old human being.
It sure fooled many folks who thought you walked into the wrong place at the wrong time.
Tonight was a perfect example, as when you arrived at the cards table, you saw three unfamiliar faces already having a go at UNO, of all things:
A scary hulking figure who resembled Mario with a large cigar in his mouth and a glowing blue block labeled “POW” beside him, a demonic hedgehog wearing a visor and sporting faded fur trying to peek at his friend's cards, and finally a Hypno who looks like it swapped bodies with a Machoke...holding a deck of Pokémon cards with psychic energy.
‘Just when I think I’ve seen them all..’ You smiled and headed over to the table with your drink.
“Seriously, I lose again?!! You two are insufferable..at least I play by the rules!!” The hedgehog hissed, annoyed as he shoved a pile of gold rings towards MK. "I'm not gonna have any rings left for spare after tonight..."
Then he noticed you sitting across from them, and his whole attitude changed, a wide yet closed smile growing on his face. “Why hello-”
“Beat it, human. We’ve already reserved this table.” The Mario lookalike snarled, briefly taking his cigar out to spit into a nearby metal bin. “Tell ‘em to scram, X.”
“That’s Lord X to you, MK...and you don’t have to be rude.”
“And you don’t have to lie either! I know damn well you’re peeking at our cards when you think we ain’t lookin’. “Play by the rules”, my ass...you deserve to lose every ring ya bet.”
“Just shut it! At least I’m not punching that stupid cube every five seconds and screwing up everyone's concentration!!”
“Don’t mind them,” Hypno spoke up as he set down his cards gently. It surprised you for a moment, considering most Pokémon couldn’t talk--or at least most normal ones couldn’t. “They act like children at times.” He shook his head with a sigh.
“Haven’t we all at some point?” You chuckled. “Forgive me for eavesdropping gentlemen, but..if Lord X needs any help winning back his earnings, then maybe I can assist. I'm pretty good at bets."
After hearing your offer, the hedgehog stopped arguing with MK and looked to you, surprised. “Ah, so you wanna go a round? That’s fine by me. Some help would be nice. But the question is...what’ll you wager should you lose? Cash? Valuables? Or maybe even--”
You blinked once and saw him dash out of his seat, sitting right next to you with a sinister grin. “Your SOUL?” As he spoke, skeleton hands emerged from the depths of his throat, a demonic laugh creeping its way out as well.
Yet you remained unshaken by his act, simply smiling and getting your own stack of cards. “If I lose, I'll pay for your next round of drinks."
"...that's fair."
Then you glanced at Hypno’s cards, frowning slightly. “By the way Hyp..you got trading cards, not UNO. That’s probably why you’re confused.”
“Huh--? Ohh...that makes sense.” The Talking Pokémon nodded, getting the right cards for himself before he and MK stared you and Lord X down, smirking. “Alright. Now...we play!”
........
“HAHAHA!! I WIN!!!”
“What?!”
“How?!!”
“That ain’t fair!!” MK slammed his fist down on his POW block, causing the whole table to violently shake, but nobody paid any mind to his temper flare. It was normal for them.
Nothing infuriated the Mario entity more than seeing your smug grin--now a rather creepy one that rivaled him and his buddies.
But Lord X and Hypno were impressed to see this was the real you..or at least the competitive side of you who always liked to win.
You definitely caught them all off-guard with your friendly looks. They just assumed you were a naive human trying to butt into their game night.
“Here you are, m’lord.” With a chuckle, you took the stack of rings from the other side of the table, sliding them back towards Lord X. And like a dragon hoarding gold, he gathered them all into his hands, grinning from ear to ear.
They were all his.
Every ring he’s wagered for the past month.
"Thank you, friend." He laughed. "You're an excellent player."
“Not even I could have predicted those moves with Future Sight.” Hypno remarked, scratching his head in disbelief. “What did you say your name was?”
“[Y/n].” You leaned back in the chair as you reshuffled your cards in your hands. “My story hasn’t hit the right crowd yet, so you probably haven't heard of me.”
“..ah, I get it now.” MK remarked. “I was thinkin’ they let a random human walk into the wrong bar. My bad.”
“It’s fine. If you guys don’t mind..I wouldn’t mind joining you for another game.”
“Maybe next time.” Lord X told you, shaking his head as he stood up from the table. “MK and I have some tortured souls to play with.”
“And I have to find Gold and bring him home.” Hypno stood up as well. His cards levitated around him and disappeared into his satchel. “That boy couldn’t have wandered off too far..”
“When you see him, tell him how stupid he looks with that bowtie, will ya?” MK sneered. “I mean..a bowtie on a hoodie??”
Hypno shot him a scowl. "If he didn't come with you, you don’t get to dictate what he can and can’t wear! He wanted to look “fashionable” and that’s the best I could do!!”
"Jeez really? Thought you were dressing him up for one of your game's "beauty contests".
You just smiled in amusement as they were the ones bickering this time around, with Lord X trying to quiet them down so Gold didn’t overhear their arguing.
‘They seem like a good trio..I’ll definitely play with them again.’

The sun had long ago set, exposing you to a darkened sky with an ornamental moon.  That light, of course, barely made it through the large oaks and logs. The underbrush pulled at your jeans, your legs, your arms, until they’d been reduced to pulp.
There was a stitch in your side, one that normally would have slowed you down. You weren’t much for sports, or physical exertion that didn’t’ have a clear end game. But this was different- the reward for dodging trees, and holes, and damp surfaces was your life.
You should have realized you were being stalked. The signs were all there; the hair standing on the back of your neck, the snapping of twigs and dead grass. The fear that shot through your body. Of course- you figured it was some college douche who had followed you from the library. Not an animal.
At least, you were pretty sure that deathly growl came from an animal. A thing with glowing blue eyes and dripping jowls. Granted, you hadn’t stuck around. You stupidly dashed into the woods, thinking that sticking to the side of an empty road was a dumber choice. Maybe the woods would slow it down- but it seemed to work as a crux.
When your front pushed against an ice-cold chain-link fence, a bit of relief came over you. This was it- you’d be set free from this little game of cat and mouse. At least your death would come quick, fingers wrapped around the metal, you panted in shorts spirts of condensation.
The animal was clearly defined against the color of the yellow moon. It was massive, trying to catch its own breath. Its fur was a pitch black, not just a trick of the light. But it’s eyes, its eyes were almost kind in their own way, an inner struggle.
A rumbling growl cut through any reprieve. Were wolves’ common practice in the state of New York? You were from the south, the air much warmer and wetter. The wildlife calmer until provoked. You hadn’t provoked this, nor did you think you’d survive it.
The wolf jumped onto you, large paws pushing into your collarbone with another stunned growl of dominance. A watery, blood-mixed drool moved past peeled back lips, exposing pink gums. The scent of damp fur and rotted meat filled your lungs. You realized you were whimpering- crying deafened by the animals’ movements.
The bite came with a blinding pain in the smooth expanse between the side of your neck and the top of your shoulder. You screamed until your throat burned, tasting of copper. Teeth embedded into your flesh, cracking your bones. The animal pulled away, letting out an earth-shattering howl in response- for a moment, your voices were in synch, mingling under the moon.
Pressure was flung off of you, the wolf that had tackled you to the ground, the one that had bit into you, was suddenly knocked onto its side. The silhouette of a bigger animal had pinned its predecessor to the ground, letting off a warning grumble filled with venom.
You weren’t stupid, you never had been. You clenched your eyes shut and played dead.
Pain erupted across your temple in tandem with your heart against your wrist. There was a cold wet feeling that engulfed you. It had snowed in the night, nothing big, nothing substantial, but cold enough to stir you from the muck and leaves that were encased around you. You’d been buried, or covered, at least.
The scent of the woods filled your lungs with every even breath you took. The light seemed too bright, the air too cold. Every nerve ending in your body stood up on edge, heightened with what you assumed was fear. You’d forgotten the wound on your shoulder, the blood that had frozen to your skin in an ugly brown, hard color.
Your bag was a few paces ahead of you, textbooks scattered and damp, the words running ink. Great. You’d be lucky if you could pawn them off by the end of the semester. It was a stupid thought to have. You’d been attacked, and the only thing that registered was the scent of wet paper and the inevitable donation of lofty books.
Your phone began to vibrate. The sound was deafening, you groaned, clenching your dirty hands to either side of your head. You could feel it in your teeth, eventually patting the ground until you unearthed it. The screen was shattered, but functional.
“Hello?” You rasped.
“Gracias a dios” America’s voice was almost as deafening as the cellphone ringing. You winced and pulled it away from your ear “Where are you y/n? MJ was two seconds from filing a missing person’s report with campus security.”
“I’m sorry, I fell asleep while studying. Tell her not to worry. I’m on my way home now.”
You hung up before she could feel through your lie. It had come so naturally. Your memory was murky, your bones tired. This was something a shower could cure, maybe an energy smoothie from the local coffee shop.
After shoving your textbooks and phone back into your bag, you felt your way along the thin metal fence until you reached a familiar road. You wish you had had the sense to do that last night. There was something in playing dead that actually convinced your brain that losing consciousness was okay.
Something was bothering you. A lot of things were, but the animal, the beast that had sunk it’s teeth into you hadn’t gone back to finish the job. Even if you were playing dead, something as cunning as that could tell the difference, right? It was all too much.
You snuck into your apartment and made a beeline to the bathroom before your roommates could get a good look at you. There were leaves in your hair, caked with blood and dirt, and maybe even saliva.
Dark circles rimmed your eyes, muck under your nails. You’d never been hit by a bus before, but you imagined this is what it would feel like, what it would look like. The hot water of the shower eased your nerves. Made the bite less intimidating. Small puncture wounds rimmed in an ugly purple bruise.
A sweatshirt hit most of the offenses. Not the pale skin, or your shaking hands. But it would have to do. You stalked into the kitchen and swallowed two glasses of spit-warm water. It was like you’d hadn’t had a drink in months, instead of a single night. It was then that MJ and America heard you as you filled up your third cup despite the ache in your stomach.
“Holy shit, you look like crap.”
“What the fuck happened to you?”
They both spoke at the same time. You finished the third glass of water, taking a deep, steadying breath. The world seemed to quiet, your ears still ringing. “Fell asleep at the library.”
“I’m not buying it.” America said, “Did some asshole from Delta Phi pull something? We can get campus security here right now.”
You held up your hand, “I appreciate the concern, really. Nothing happened. Just a long night. Campus police won’t do anything anyway.”
MJ pulled herself onto the barstool and folded her hands. She watched you carefully but didn’t’ say anything. That was enough for you, a small mercy in a storm of confusion. You pulled open the fridge, each scent blending into one that made your stomach clench. There was a Tupperware container of lasagna that caught your eye.
Maybe that would satiate the hunger that had been plaguing you despite the water you had downed. You used a fork to take two large bites of it, chewing wolfishly before America cleared her throat. “Dude… you gonna heat that up?”
You shook your head and took another bite, shoving the Tupperware back into the fridge. “Better cold. I have class. Love you guys!”
It was hard to miss the look they shared as you pulled on your backpack. America was the one who stopped you, her voice soft, words thick with worry. The two of you had known one another since childhood when she landed a close fingered hit to the center of Jace Cameron’s nose after he stole your lunch. There was gushing blood and a lot of tears, but the kid never fronted after that. He transferred schools after that year.
America could read you better than anyone else, and at this point in your friendship, so could MJ. All three of you had opened your acceptance letters together, crowded around a greasy basket of fries in a local pizza joint. It was all part of the plan, really, attend the same college, go to the same parties, become bridesmaids at weddings bound to happen.
Her touch was gentle against your elbow. “Y/n, you’re sure you’re alright? You look a little pale.”
“I’m perfect, really. Just tired. You’re still going to the Greek fundraiser tonight, right?”
She pursed her lips at the change of subject. Nodded at you before letting her hand drop to her side. It pained you to lie to her, really, it did. But you were technically exhausted. You didn’t’ know how to explain that your whole body was screaming different signals at you. That you were starving to the point of craving something raw and uncooked. That you had woken up in the woods after being bitten by a wild animal. It was all too crazy- even for America.
The party could be heard from across campus. It seemed that no matter how many cheap beers you downed, you couldn’t’ get the music to soften. Conversations cut through the liquid sound like a knife. You couldn’t focus, not really, on What MJ was saying, running her fingers against the golden belt that sinched a cheap bedsheet.
“Toga parties are so last century.” She mumbled, “I mean, it feels like appropriation, right? Damned if they’ve been dead for millenniums. It’s tasteless.”
It had taken you a painstaking hour to arrange the sheet in a way that wouldn’t aggravate the wound against your shoulder. It hadn’t slowed it’s trickle of red, having saturated your sweater by the time  you came back to the apartment after your final class. You’d bandaged it well enough, and situated a clump of white fabric over the area, eyes darting towards it every once in a while, looking for a bloom of color.
So far so good.
“Yeah, but you have to admit, they’re kind of comfy. I could get used to this!”
You winced when a loud belly laugh moved through the crowd. The Delta men had just sunk another ping pong ball into piss-warm beer. They hollered like real primal beings. You frowned, leaving your cup on the mantel. Maybe a nice break is what you needed, a few breaths and quiet of the earth instead of the hot frat house.
“I need some air,” You leaned close to MJ, shouting over the music.
“Okay, do you need me to come with you?”
“No! You stay. America is up next for beer pong. She’ll kill both of us if we dip now.”
She nodded and watched as the competitive edge of their roommate flashed in her eyes. She leaned against the wall, judging the gall that the president of the frat had, taking a risky shot. A smile turned up the corners of her lips when the ball bounced off the rim.
A couple was making out on the porch, swallowing one another’s tongues. The sickly-sweet scent of stem-picked weed filled your lungs. You walked down the porch. The night was clear and cold. Woods surrounded the property, the small patches that were allowed by the city.
This place, you imagined, had once been vast and beautiful. It was filled with cookie cutter homes now, suburban housewives and a single street of fraternities and sororities. The further you walked from the house, the lighter you felt. No more music, no clinging scent of alcohol. The full moon lit your way clean.
There was a strange charge to the air that you didn’t’ quite understand. The night had always called to you like it did anyone else, the air sharper, easier to breathe. But this was different, just like most of the day had been different. You slowed your pace by the edge of a large patch of trees, your hair standing up on the edge of your neck.
Fuck.
There were eyes on you, that was clear. A primal type of fear flooded your veins. It had been stupid to stary from the party, no matter the sensory overload. MJ should be with you, even one of the frat boys sucking face on the porch would ease your nerves. You were illuminated by a deep yellow circle of streetlight.
You took a deep, steadying breath, squinting between the trees and the underbrush, and the fallen leaves. There was an urge to say hello, to call out, but you had seen enough horror movies to hold your tongue. Just like you had seen enough to run the evening before.
Out of instinct, you pulled a small travel sized canister of pepper spray, unlocking it. You'd never used it before, always feared accidentally unleashing it in a crowded bus or classroom.
Letting out a yelp, you swung your hand at air behind you, blushing with an odd type of nervousness. It looked stupid, you guessed, swinging wildly when nothing was really there. Except something was really there, and it grabbed your hand with an iron grip, pulling it back.
You screamed and released a stream of pepper spray right into your attacker’s face. She screamed too, releasing your hand and stumbling backwards, eyes rimmed red and teary. “Holy Shit, oh my god, Holy shit.”
Part of you felt bad, admittedly. She was tall and lanky and using the sleeves of her flannel to flush away the mascara running down her face. Her nose was running, black hair pulled into a ponytail except for a few wild strands.
“You pepper sprayed me,” she said with indignance.
“You were following me!”
“No, I wasn’t!” She shot back, blinking wildly “Okay, maybe I was- but God damn it!”
You let your shoulders drop in exhaustion. She sniffed, wiping the snot from the base of her nose. Her eyes were rimmed in a bright red. You’d never used pepper spray before, nor did you ever want to again. The scent in the air was thick and painful.
“Why were you following me?” You asked.
“I wanted to see if you were okay. You left the frat house pretty quickly. It was dumb. I’m dumb, I’m sorry.”
Your finger moved from the top of the pepper spay. You shoved it into your pocket, trying to search your mind for a familiar face in the crowd, bumping and grinding in nothing but dishtowels and white sheets. Of course, you were preoccupied by your own overwhelming senses to pay much attention to anything else.
She blinked a few more times before her vision cleared up. Her cheeks were still a ripe apple red. Under the waning moon, she looked pale and pretty. Her eyes were a startling blue, almost inhuman. You chalked it up to your fight method kicking in, though they sent a shock straight to your core.
“Are you?” She asked, voice strained.
“Am I what?”
“Okay? You didn’t’ seem to be. I went to that campus seminar about always having a buddy system. It was pretty informative. Made me paranoid, I think. But you looked overwhelmed.”
“I am overwhelmed.”
You didn’t think you would admit it that easily. Maybe it was the fact that she was a stranger, or that there was an instant warmth that surrounded her. It made you equally guilty for your actions, and intrigued by hers. You turned and started walking in the direction that you were heading, keeping from the sidewalks and to the small space where asphalt converged with cement.
She walked with you, side by side. There was height to her. You didn’t’ know where you were going but it eased your nerves with her there. “Do you ever make choices that don’t make sense?”
“All the damn time. Like when you look back on them, there were a million other options laid out in front of you. A million different variables and yet, you still chose the one that got you here in this moment.”
“Exactly.” You frowned “I got attacked by an animal last night, and I had a million chances to tell someone about it. To do something. But I haven’t. I ran into the woods instead of further into campus. I lied about being okay to two of my closest friends. I woke up this morning feeling… different. And now I’m telling a girl I just met all of this for no reason.”
She stopped then, and so did you. There was a stretch of cookie cutter homes in front of you, and the raging frat party behind. A neighborhood watch sign loomed behind your shoulder. A sprinkler kicked to life down the block, saturating the grass. You felt stupid in your sinched sheet.
“Let me guess.” She started slow, tentative. “You’re hungry, sensitive to light. To sound. Mainly smell? The world is screaming at you from every angle, and you don’t know how to get it to stop?”
“Yeah, something like that. How’d you know?”
“Great,” She whispered and continued on her walk. You watched her for a few moments before shaking your head clear and jogging to catch up with her. She had impossibly long legs.
“I was hoping I hadn’t bitten that hard.”
“what?”
“I get carried away sometimes. It’s the full moon. It has a hold. Clint says control comes with practice but I don’t have time for practice and now I have to explain all of this to Steve-“
You had jumped in front of her at this point, cutting her off in her words and in her strides. Your hand was heavy on her shoulder. The redness was gone from her stare. Her skin was scalding against the palm of your hand. You pulled back. “Slow down. What?”
The girl let out a long sigh “I bit you last night. I’m already feeling guilty enough about it. You don’t have to lecture me. I figured I could track you down, make sure you were okay.”
“Clearly not okay,”
“I’m gathering that.”
“What… are you?”
“An Aries.” She shrugged her shoulders. “And a werewolf.”

Fine, Chapter 1
Danny's fine. He's fine. Really, he is.
Never mind that he hasn't seen Clockwork in weeks, shouldn't see him ever again.
Never mind that he can't stop wondering how much of him is metal, and how much of him is left.
He's fine.
~~~
An unofficial continuation (with permission) to @five-rivers phight fic Pearls, set some time later.
Words: 2014
Characters: Danny, Frostbite
For: @five-rivers, for their prompt: Horror, but soft and cozy with lots of sensation.
Read on AO3, or below the readmore:
It was fine.
Well, no. It wasn't fine. It wasn't fine at all and even thinking about it sent Danny's heart into his stomach and his stomach into his chest not that he even had those in his ghost form anymore–
So he didn't think about it.
As long as he didn't think about it, it was fine.
He was fine.
Nothing in him hurt. Except when he was thrown through a wall or into the street. Except for his heart when he thought about it and he didn't so it was fine.
It was subtle, anyway. And Frostbite said it would go away if he just ignored it. So long as he just stayed away, it would wear off. Like paint.
Just so long as he went about his days like normal it would be fine. He would be fine.
So he did.
He got up. He ate.
He didn’t wonder where food went when he was a ghost since didn’t have a stomach anymore.
He went to school, fought ghosts, fought frustration and schoolwork and didn't fight Dash, but maybe goaded him a little. He went home.
Not through the portal.
Home.
Home, with his parents and his sister and all the inventions Danny could never quite feel settled around, not like–
Fentonworks was home.
He hung out with Sam and Tucker and fought more ghosts and played video games and did homework, not always in that order. Maybe mostly in that order.
And he was fine. He'd figure it out.
He had figured it out. Or Frostbite had told him.
All he had to do was stay away.
It was fine.
He couldn't sleep.
There was something unsettled in his gut, churning. He could imagine it. Every time he closed his eyes against the light of the neon glow from outside the image floated in his head.
What was in his head?
No.
It was a slow thing, with many teeth. They were square, with perfectly machined points to every one. He couldn't quite count them; they kept slipping sideways out of his mind. But it was slow, and round, and it was hungry.
He imagined the teeth of it pressing against his other organs. Hard, harder until they began to bite. Until they caught on tender flesh and dug and dug until it had sawed furrows in him and the gear had made itself a new home in his gut.
Churning.
Danny fought the idea down. He was human. The scans hadn't shown anything like that in this form.
But that could change, couldn't it? Diseases progressed. This could, too. Probably. Even if Frostbite was right, what if it–the lair, the buildup, whatever it was–what if it kept changing him until it wore off?
He pressed a hand to his stomach, hard. Harder.
Nothing.
He was fine.
It was fine.
But the churning of his gut remained.
He needed–soft words, a wash of sound, a sense of place–to sleep. An ache built in his chest at the thought he couldn’t quite finish.
It wouldn't be bad, would it? Just to listen? What if the sound of ticking was the warning that it was spreading to his human half? What if he was ticking now, and he didn't know because he hadn’t listened?
Danny placed fingers on his neck, and heard his heart.
Thump…thump…thump
It was a soft and even sound. Regular.
It reminded him, just a little, of the symphony of Long Now’s clocks. But that was in the regularity of it, not the sound. He still had a heartbeat. He was still something close to human.
And like this…Danny breathed in.
Thump…thump…thump
He breathed out, and found a glimmer of the peace he’d known in Clockwork’s garden.
It was fine.
He was fine.
Breaths in time with the beat of his heart, Danny slept.
~~~
Danny held his arm where the latest ghostly menace had grabbed him and used it to toss him into, then through several walls. Some of them had been brick.
But he was fine.
Sure, he hurt. His whole body twinged with every movement and there was a deep ache in his arm. But that was just his life. It would get better. It probably wouldn't even take a day.
Danny flexed his fingers and felt something in them click.
All he had to do was stay away.
~~~
In the morning, the ache in his arm was the same.
~~~
Danny opened his hand, palm facing up and fingers spread wide. The thick rubber of his glove stretched tight across his palm like this, folding on itself with the strain.
He held the position for a moment, then relaxed.
Or tried to. His pinky finger stayed motionless. In his hand, he could hear a rapid clicking, just on the edge of his ghostly hearing. The ache in his forearm built.
Danny grimaced and tapped his pinky with his other hand. With a pop, it fell into place by his other fingers.
Tucker's voice crackled to life in his ear. "Danny, you see anything?"
From his hand, he looked up and down to the rooftops of Amity, focusing back on the task at hand. He squinted down to scan the streets, hand momentarily forgotten.
~~~
"You okay, dude? I know you said you were fine but you've been holding your arm a lot lately."
"Yeah," Danny let go of his arm. "See? Good as new," he gave it a wave and schooled his expression to hide the pain that exploded along his joints.
~~~
His parents were out, Danny surmised from the post-it stuck to the microwave. That was useful. They could poke around in the lab today.
First, breakfast.
Danny pulled the milk jug from the fridge and a sparkle of pain danced along his forearm.
He set the jug down on the counter and looked his forearm over.
Nothing on his skin.
"That's not good," he muttered.
Maybe he should talk to Frostbite.
~~~
"It's what?" Danny pulled his arm to his chest.
Frostbite peered down at him and sighed. "I'm sorry, Great One. I know this is an unpleasant and unwanted experience for you, and I wish we could treat you."
Danny bit his lip. "You really can't?"
Frostbite shook his head. "Our mechanics work primarily with hydraulics and ectoplasmic energy fields. We use gears, but nothing of the delicacy and intricacy you have."
"The delicacy," Danny echoed.
He swallowed, reminded of the recurring thought of the gear replacing his stomach. In his ghost form, it was less far-fetched. He pulled the arm at his chest tighter to his stomach.
"I'm sorry, Great One," Frostbite said. "Do you know anyone else?"
"Other than the guy who did this to me?"
Frostbite nodded.
"No," Danny said at last. His voice cracked. "There's no one else."
He was looking down at his feet, now. He felt so small, so alone. Like his life was tumbling, like he was.
Everything had been upside down since he learned, since he learned–
He flexed his hand. Tried to.
"Are you worried he might not let you go?" asked Frostbite.
"I–no."
Clockwork wasn't that direct. Danny suspected Clockwork didn't know how to be that direct.
Danny wasn't worried that Clockwork wouldn't let him leave. The thought of the chorus of the clocks still filled him with a desperate longing, and there was part of him, a loud part, that asked if being stuck in Long Now forever would be such a terrible fate. That tied threads around his heart and pulled them tight at the thought of never going back.
No, Danny wasn't worried that Clockwork would trap him. Danny was worried Clockwork wouldn't need to.
Danny looked up at the feeling of Frostbite resting a paw on his shoulder. "If you're worried, Great One, we can search for someone with expertise. But we may not find anyone soon."
And Danny's hand was immobile in ghost form. And Amity’s ghost problem was as severe as ever.
"I don't–I." Danny swallowed again, and veered from the thought of what his gut looked like right now. "How much time?"
"We don't know. If we knew where to find a ghost with expertise, then–"
"No, I mean. I mean, how much time do I have left? Before I–"
He stopped, struck by how much it sounded like he was dying. Danny wanted to laugh. He was already dead.
He wasn't.
But wouldn't this be like dying, all over again?
Danny pulled his arm tighter to his stomach again, hunching himself against the thought.
"Oh," Frostbite said, comprehending.
And then he was kneeling in front of Danny, still dwarfing him.
“It depends greatly on the pressure the lair exerts on you, but I would say you could spend days, even weeks more there and still eventually shed its influence.
"But young one, the influence of a lair is a softer change by far than death can be. When they joined me here my friends found it a gradual process, painful only in the way that growth can be painful. I cannot speak for the lair you have spent so much time in, but have the changes so far been painful?"
Danny looked down at his arm.
"Other than that," said Frostbite.
It seemed like a pretty big 'that' to Danny, but "No. I guess."
"Then your transformation is unlikely to be painful."
Frustration bubbled up from Danny's chest. "I don't care that it won't be painful,” he said. “I care about being me."
"My friends are still themselves," said Frostbite.
"Are they?"
There was silence for a moment, and Danny felt a yawning fear that he'd made Frostbite angry.
"I think," said Frostbite with measured slowness, "that you should discuss your worries with the ghost whose lair you've been visiting. You trust him, don't you?"
~~~
Long Now's doors were huge enough to feel like they had a gravity of their own. Danny hesitated before them, stomach turning on itself with anxiety.
It was like they were calling him. Danny closed his eyes against the memory of garden naps, of a wash of sound and peace and place.
He was here to have his arm fixed. His arm, which wouldn't have anything wrong with it if Clockwork hadn't messed up his insides without telling him. Danny clutched it tighter.
There was something in his throat.
He swallowed.
He couldn't feel at peace here. He shouldn't.
If he weren't careful, he would.
Danny took a shaky breath. Did he really need them now? Had he ever, as a ghost?
Maybe…maybe if he just focused on what he would lose, if he stayed. Frostbite had said that Danny still had time. That he had days or weeks, before Danny's–
Before he was trapped.
Before he belonged.
He could get out before then, surely?
Unless Clockwork decided otherwise.
Alone and confronted by a vast threshold that stretched beyond his ability to predict, that possibility seemed suddenly more real than it had in the Far Frozen hours before.
Danny rolled his lip between his teeth. Maybe he should have accepted Frostbite's offer of finding someone else. The uncertainty was gnawing at him already and he hadn't even set foot through the doors he'd been avoiding for weeks.
…But no.
Danny straightened.
None of his problems since the portal had gotten better by ignoring them. They'd only gotten worse, and it was time to accept that his arm was the same. That Clockwork was the same.
Maybe he could avoid Long Now long enough to shed the layers of lair gunk that had changed him. Maybe he could come back in a few years to yell at Clockwork more once there wasn't any risk to it.
But that wasn't really true, was it?
Whether he stepped through these doors a few seconds from now or a few years, even a few decades, it wouldn’t matter.
Clockwork controlled his lair, and he controlled time.
There would always be a risk.
As with so many other things he'd faced, the only way was through.
Arm still curled at his waist, Danny pushed through the doors.

18 + your favorite infinity train ship for the kiss game (i do not go here but we've been mutuals for so long that you are just a comforting presence on the dash so.)
Aww ty! I'm glad to hear that! Sorry this took so long lol. I went with Doebells (Kez/Alan Dracula) for this prompt since i've already done this one with a different ship!
As her friends walked away laughing, Kez felt the last of her draining confidence slipping away.When she heard the car door slam shut, she sighed and  gravitated lower to the ground against the wall. She looked back at the bathroom door where Ryan and Min-Gi were and heard the sound of music playing quietly. She smiled slightly, then floated away from the door without a word.
“I’ll just… leave you guys to that…” she made her way over to one of the punch tables. But as soon as she lowered her cup into the punch bowl, the table rustled a little. Then, it suddenly, launching the punch bowl in the air and leaving a white-tailed deer in its place.
“Oh my god!” Kez shieked, dropping her cup. Upon a closer look, she recognized who it was. The punch bowl,  landed on the deer and soaked him completely
The deer snorted and dug his feet into the ground a few times. He then burst into flames, instantly evaporating the punch before the fire went out.
“Oh… hey! I didn’t see you at all at this party,” she said. “But… I guess that doesn't really matter since the party’s over now…I kinda blew it.”
The deer started to nudge Kez towards a different table, one with various snacks. As he helped himself to the leftover food, Kez rested on the table next to him quietly. She glanced at the bathroom door again. Ryan and Min-Gi still hadn’t come out. Not that she blamed them. Now that the party was a bust, they’d be stuck here until the next party rolls around.
A puff of hot air brushed over her, sending her a few inches backwards. She looked up to find the deer peering down at her.
“Oh, that’s my friends there. I’m sure you saw what happened on stage. I really thought things would go well. I mean, we’re so close to seeing Morgan and… things would be alright.”
Kez sighed and decided to help herself to some of the food on the table alongside the deer.
“I really thought I’d be able to help these guys and maybe do something right for a change,” she said. “But even if we do get out of this car and back to my car I’m still worried about stuff going wrong.”
The deer snorted, as though asking Kez to elaborate before continuing to devour the food in front of him.
“You know how I said I wanted to explore the other cars for a while? Well, I uh, I kinda, like, got kicked out,” she admitted. “I swear I wasn’t trying to ruin Morgan’s life, things just happened so quickly and I couldn’t stop everything from coming crashing down before it was too late. When I ran into Ryan and Min-Gi, they're just… always fighting and then they make up and then they start fighting again…at least they seem to be getting along now.”
Kez shoveled another brownie in her mouth.
In between bites, she said, “Those two have a lot going on from wherever they came from that I can’t even begin to understand. I figured that maybe it would be better if… they didn’t have to go back home and deal with all that. And maybe Morgan wouldn’t be lonely anymore. It’s, like,  supposed to be a win-win? Right?”
The little bell deflated when she detected no reaction from the deer. She continued eating quietly. The deer suddenly straightened up, projecting a glowing image from his antlers. When Kez looked closer, she saw an apparition of herself talking to Ryan and Min-Gi. The guys looked a little upset, but understanding. The three of them shared a hug before the image  faded out into the air. The deer closed his eyes briefly before staring back at Kez.
“You’re right…. I should talk to them about this,” Kez said. “When the moment’s right. Thanks.”
The deer blinked before nuzzling the metal shell of Kez’s body. She felt her body heat up slightly and smiled at him. The door to the bathroom opened, and Min-Gi popped his head out looking around. His eyes rested on Kez. He shifted a little and patted the space on her shoulder , encouraging her to take a seat there. Kez looked back between Min-Gi and the deer. The deer snorted and nudged Kez towards the bathroom.
“Alright, alright, I’ll go!” she laughed. She leaned in and left a brief kiss on the side of the deer’s face. His antlers suddenly burst alive with sparkling roses blooming on the crown. One of the roses fell off, and he leaned forward to catch it in his mouth to eat. With that, he gave Kez one final nudge towards Min-Gi and took off.
Kez watched the deer fly off into the air before following Min-Gi into the bathroom.

Replaying the LN1 dlc chapters again because I love to suffer!! Time for some thoughts and observations on the Lady and the Residence chapter as a whole.
(Please keep in mind that I am only making observations about what I see as I play the game! I missed a lot of external content and fandom activity so please don’t be rude if I say things that are considered obvious.)
I like how it’s immediately obvious that this area is much more lived in, and despite the mess of books on the floor it seems otherwise very clean compared to the rest of the maw! The hearth is still glowing with embers, and clearly sees frequent use. Books are left open near comfy chairs, or set aside for later reading and sorting as if someone got halfway through picking up the mess when a book caught her eye.
About that hearth: it’s goddamn COLD in the Residence. Despite the luxury here compared to the rest of the Maw, RK’s breath fogs up in the air in several areas. I’m not sure if that’s meant to be a side effect of the Lady’s presence or just an unfortunate reality of living in a big metal boat?
The ladders and stepstools are perfectly sized to allow kids like RK to get around with relative ease. Same for the stairs. There’s no real struggle to use them as intended. The Lady is more petite than many of the Adults in this world, but not THAT small. It’s almost like this place was designed with children in mind, to an extent.
Similarly, there’s places that are intentionally difficult for kids to get to on their own. The secret room behind the bookcase for one, or the hall of broken mirrors. It feels like there’s a defined “safe area” where those hypothetical children can roam, and as long as they don’t touch anything they shouldn’t it’s actually VERY safe???
Which brings me to the Lady herself.
I’d forgotten that when we first pass her, she’s playing her song on a music box. That detail certainly feels different after playing LN2
Dolls. There’s SO many dolls! Shelves full of them, carefully lined up in rows. More on that in a bit
The Shadow Children. God I have so many thoughts about them but no idea where to start??? I forgot about their dash move, which is a) annoying, and b) really cool! I’m not sure if it’s more like a temporary speed boost, or a baby-steps version of the way the Lady can appear out of nowhere. Plus they sound like they’re having a good time, and a lot of the time they don’t even really attack until you point the flashlight at them (or provoke a different Shadow Kid near them). They just kinda stand there menacingly until you get too close? I have to wonder how they came to be. Might make another post on this later with more details about their behavior and some thoughts I’ve had about them.
The above two points plus some other environmental clues lead me to believe that the Lady might actually want to be a mother? Which is a fucked up desire in the LN world already, before you even think about the fact that she feeds children to the Guests on a regular basis. But… the dolls treated with such care, and the way the Shadow Children are given porcelain masks to match her own and allowed to roam her Residence, and the fact that many of the library shelves are made accessible to someone RK’s size even though the books are LITERALLY their height…
It’s possible that the Lady’s problem with mirrors (and her appearance) is about more than just vanity. Like, it’s one thing to be upset that you aren’t beautiful and can’t regain your lost youth. It’s another thing to resent your appearance and age because you wanted to do more? If you wanted to start a family, and raise children of your own in as much luxury and warmth as you could offer, and now that you’re at the end of your life you have nothing to show for it but corpses and shadows and sagging skin…?
I think this adds another layer of complexity to her character. Don’t get me wrong, she’s still definitely not a great person (and who would be, surviving in this world?) and I like Evil Women as much as the next guy, but… vanity and greed and a genuine desire for companionship or family are NOT mutually exclusive. She can be self-obsessed and okay with doing terrible things and STILL be upset that she doesn’t have any children of her own to pass her Fucked Up Cannibalism Boat down to.
Of course there’s also the idea that she DID have children and none of them lived, but that’s another concept entirely.
On a lighter note! She likes tea :]
She also seems rather forgetful, at least with her belongings? She’s the type to sit down with tea and a book, then just kind of get up and leave the teapot on the bookshelf if something else captures her attention.
That being said her security measures are SIGNIFICANTLY more refined and clever than any of the others in the Maw. She’s pretty damn intelligent! She might just also be scatterbrained at times.
It probably isn’t meant to be funny but. The big portrait over the stairs. She’s just doing the Mona Lisa pose but backwards. Babe?
Side note. There’s SO many paintings around and WHERE are the artists? Did the Lady paint them herself? Is there some wandering Painter that goes around making dozens upon dozens of portraits for the monsters of this world? Has someone made that oc? I want to see them
Globe :]
The huge grandfather clock ALSO feels very different after playing LN2. I doubt that one was as much of an intentional callback when they were making LN2 tho? Clocks are just always sort of ominous
Never noticed before but the decoy book doesn’t have a big eye design on the cover! I never bothered to look at the decoy much before
Why does the secret bookcase door have skid marks in FRONT of it? You push it BACK to open it. What
I really like how RK will carefully set a Flotsam bottle down so it doesn’t fall over, but if they’re carrying one of the Lady statuettes they just. Open their arms and watch it drop directly to the floor.
I could definitely read into the idea that the Lady made a mechanism where the only way to enter one of the wings is to BLIND THE WATCHFUL EYE. I could read a lot into it. I could also find meaning in the fact that the wing hidden behind this puzzle has several statues of faceless children in it. Maybe a post for another day but probably not <3
Spiders :] in all seriousness! The presence of spiders and cobwebs generally means this wing has gone untouched for quite a while. That’s in pretty sharp contrast to the way the rest of the Residence feels like a home. A weird home, but still.
I am currently assuming that there are bedrooms behind those green doors we pass at the very start of the Residence chapter? Because we only really explore the huge library and gallery areas.
Might replay that part of Six’s route later to knit together a mental map.
Forgot about the little shrine of lady statues inside the wall. Who’s leaving offerings? The Lady herself definitely can’t fit in there. Is it the Shadow Children?
Speaking of them again. They kill you by rushing INTO your body and seemingly possessing you??? I want to know more about them PLEASE
May or may not be a child or doll in a birdcage near the end of the Shadow Kid section. The cage is open but the figure inside sits motionless. Reminds me of the end of Six’s route, where she’s ripped open the doors of her prison but can’t actually go anywhere. She’s forced to sit and wait for some outside force to act on her again.
Piano :]
That fucked up little moment where the Lady herds RK into a room where there’s a mirror waiting, just the right size for them to pick it up and fight her like Six does… except it’s already shattered. They never had a fighting chance. All the doors were already closed and locked before they could see the sun.
That’s all for now! Leave a little like if you read this far <3 I appreciate it!!

Close enough to towns, Benji and Matilda prefer to take their rests in relative comfort. Even for her little farmhand, who grew up in far less luxurious conditions, the hard ground occasionally draws impatience and displeasure. And certainly, the average tavern’s bed offers no more comfort. But that doesn’t mean that a tavern has none of it to offer.
Or, at least, a tavern’s inhabitants.
“Well,” Benji says, the metal rings of his tankard clacking against the table. “Shall I, or has this one already foolishly stumbled into your web?”
Matilda follows his gaze across the tavern. “You know that I have done worse to people who have said kinder.”
Benji’s smile is syrupy and devious; he’s already two pints down. “And ‘ave you let ‘em?” He teases. His dark eyes reflect strangely with licks of orange from the fire pit in the center of the room. “Say kindness to you, I mean.”
“Mm. If there is gain to be found in such…pleasantries.” She sneers the word, rolling her eyes. “Does he look capable?”
Her companion tucks a fist under his chin and assesses. The man who has been watching them — or one of them, she can’t be sure who — balks a bit at the combined power of their twin stare. Benji’s entrancing brown and Matilda’s strange, glowing amber.
The stranger is handsome and, unfortunately for him, both of their types. His hair curls where it sits at the base of his neck, parted to the side in a manner that compliments the structure of his face. Sleek, straight nose, prettily rounded eyes, a pink mouth.
“In general,” Benji starts evenly, but the words quickly drip into a suggestive, condescending drawl. “Or of pleasantries?”
“Yes.” Matilda says with a smirk of her own, and then they’re tittering behind their fists, trying not to laugh too loudly.
He looks incapable of anything but pleasantry. He looks clean and prim; golden, the way of favored knights, but with a tired smear beneath his eyes. Hair shiny, skin clear and unmarred by spots or scars. Handsome, but wrong. Filthy; the hint of danger about him dirties that glimmer with an aura Matilda is quite drawn towards. Like a bat orbiting the dusk air, seeking sustenance from an abundance of summer-time biting insects, she feels herself empty. She stares at their prey, and decides then:
Be crushed, be ground to nothing between my teeth. Let me bite and feed and be fed.
Yes. Lovely, this one. Lean with a bit of physical power; Matilda’s preference. Charming, if his slight smile betrays any skill of it, with a tilt towards unfiltered smugness; Benji’s. Matilda could laugh again. That they might silently bargain him like a dice game’s prize.
Do I feel inclined towards pleasantries this evening, she wonders, her eyes locked to the stranger’s, or is there something else that would sustain me?
Benji’s knowing smile is wrinkled sweetly under the knuckles that he presses to his cheek. “And what would your dashing, mysterious thief say if he knew you contemplated other bodies warming your bed?”
Matilda sucks her teeth. She thinks of that face, shadowed under a night-black hood. Thinks of it lit by candles or the sun or the moon. Clear to her. Beautiful.
“Nothing, if he knows what is good for him.”
Her friend bats his eyelashes and his head tilts, ink-spill hair brushing his shoulder. “And is that you, Til? Are you good for him? Is he becoming agreeably competent with pleasantries?”
She glares, but it is ineffective when he’s stuck his mind to a jest, when he’s fizzy and floating on drink. “No.”
An answer to both questions — she isn’t sure which one she fears more than the other, but she hopes that they are both lies.
“Oh, you’ll break his poor heart,” Benji laughs. He taps her wrist in a rhythm that nicely accompanies the bard’s tune swirling in the air. “When we ran into him on the road that time, he looked at you as if he —”
Her — the thief’s face. Open hurt across it, shattering something within her that she dare not name, dare not admit even existed.
“You’d gone,” he had said to her when she pulled him off the roadside to privacy, away from Benji. “I went to see you. I thought…”
“Foolishness.” Matilda had scoffed, her hands on her hips and eyes cast primly to the sky. Veneer of annoyance, a way to avoid looking at him. Because she felt summarily like falling into his arms, and that had enraged her. “You thought foolishness, I am sure. A skill second only to those deft fingers in a lock.”
As if that had been all there was between them.
“There is little I like less than men who presume to know.” Matilda snaps at Benji, her temper flaring. “Especially when those presumptions meander too close to me.”
He pouts, but is otherwise unfettered by her venomous response. If there is one thing she regrets about their journey together, it is allowing him to peer into her at all. She isn’t sure she could have stopped him in the first place: for such a common upbringing, he is incredibly discerning.
“Yes, honed by time and care for others,” he’d curtly told her one of their first meetings, when she’d roundabout complimented his honed mind.
“Which is to say,” she’d responded impishly, “that you like to waste time in your own thick skull, and that a pretty face will make you weak.”
He’d merely grinned at her, dark brows rising on his forehead. “Ah. So we do have some things in common, then.”
Matilda huffs and stands from the table abruptly, drawing her cloak tighter around her shoulders. Benji stares up at her, eyes lazily half-lidded but piqued with interest.
“Well?”
“Well.” She announces, tilting her chin. “I am going to fuck the strange one.” She points a finger into his face. He snaps wolfishly at it, mouth a teasing sneer. “Do not — stop that — do not have anymore to drink. You’re properly whetted, and if you have another you’ll not be up until midday.”
“Heh,” Benji snorts, chin jerking towards the stranger. “Whetted.”
Oh, powers that be. She’ll find him in the morning, roadside ditch or tucked comfortably in bed. Damn him. She knows which she’d prefer.
*
The stranger’s name is unknown to her; though she gives and drags her own from him, she is fine with that limited amount of familiarity. She speaks nothing of his identity. Doesn’t ask after it, because she has neither want nor need. Unknown to her, she doesn’t say his name. Not for the whole evening, no matter how capable he is. How much she’d like to ask, just because men go a particular sort of stupid when their ego hears it on a moan. Not at the beginning, when he tucks his scruffy cheeks between her thighs. Not at the end, into the small hours – which admittedly drag on the longer she keeps vigil in his bed. It’s a good place to be. Hating to admit any sort of talent, Matilda lets the spite turn prickly. She holds his wrists to the mattress eventually; but, at first, she offers pleasantries. Soft, slow kisses his pink mouth, a strong jaw. Moves close, allows their chests to brush. At first, she rocks sweetly and fluidly in his lap.
Then she becomes cruel. She expects the same from him. Requires it, even. Her ears prick when he digs nails into her hips. Pins and needles at the hint of danger.
And, like a bat in the sticky heat of summer, she orbits. Opens her mouth and swallows the potential sting. She finds the soft parts of him and the ragged edges alike. Sets teeth in them until he jerks and moans and whimpers when it becomes enough pain.
“You’re beautiful,” he gasps as her rhythm becomes fiercer, more demanding. He repeats that, and other things that lovers might exchange, until she laughs in his face.
“Sweet thing.” She tucks their noses together, flashing a dangerous grin. “I am going to use you up.”
She sits straight up then. Instead of pressing intimately close, she takes his wrists in her hands. Pins him beneath her, long planes of lean muscle used to swing a dagger and cause hurt. She makes him vulnerable and slack in pleasure. From her, under her. Matilda likes that taste of power on her tongue sometimes. Nearly as much as the sharp zip of magic beneath her skin as she calls upon it for a spell.
There are no spells here, now. Just bodies. And, perhaps begrudgingly, a bit of kindness along with the bite.
So at first, she offers pleasantries. But by the end, they’ve fluttered off into the night and he begs for them to return. Or, maybe not. Begs for them to stay gone. Begs for more. His pretty face is convincing enough that she offers him one singular kiss as he drags over the edge for a final time, head tossed back. It’s a good kiss, and the only she allows.
When Benji shoots her a knowing eyebrow in the morning, already up and horses tacked, she will refuse admittance of being…reinvigorated.
“Sometimes,” Benji says, lifting her onto the horse with ease, “I fear you a nightcrawler, rather than a witch.” He grins at her. “Bloodsucker. Man-eater.”
Matilda leans down and snaps her teeth at him, golden eyes flashing wide.
“Oh, my poor sweet friend. Your blessings are few and far between.” She demures, teasingly piteous. “Might you count your safety from my web among them?”
Benji tosses his head back and laughs. “Gladly.”

Fandoms and characters I will write
So first off, I need to clarify that certain characters will ONLY be platonic while others can be both. Drawing wise, I will only do the fandoms I list here but I will draw any that's not listed as well.
Other Notes, I can age or deage character. Characters can be shipped with other canon or the reader, i don't mind doing either. You should clarify what exactly you want; fluff, angst, flanst, yandere, nsfw, and so forth. You can even give specific details for the reader.
Also, feel free to give plot, suggestions, and just in general whatever. I want to get back into writing so it'll take me time but I promise I will get things down eventually. I will force myself haaa. Though if a plot really interests me it'll most likely get done quickly, but i'll make sure to also do things in order!
Aus are a go! As long as I know about them orrr I am able to look them up. Just tell me where to find it at least when requesting as there are also multiple source for certain things so which one you referring to.
Or even in fnaf's case, which variant of the character you want. If not specific, I will most likely just do their original form unless I have a idea for a different one. Orrrr maybe I'll just do multiple if I'm feeling up to it
Not sure what else to add but yeahhh. This'll definitely get updated as I get more interested in new shows/games and characters so keep an eye out!

A short Dirk POV blurb
TW: Heavy gore, mind games
alternative title: Immortal dirk gets repeatedly tortured and killed in gruesome ways
There’s blood on the floor beneath you, on your hands, and when you reach up to touch your face, you feel the viscosity of the liquid coating your lips and cheeks. Your chest heaves as your body tries to force oxygen in, lungs pushing back against the lack of response your brain is sending to the rest of your body. You need to breathe. Opening your mouth, you become vaguely aware of the salivation dripping from your chin and mixing with the puddle on the floor. Your vision fades the longer you stare and
Finally you cough, spitting up gnawed bits of your own flesh and clearing your airways enough to get that first coveted breath of air. Oxygen deprivation is no joke, and the way the room spins around you makes your stomach tie itself in knots. You’re alive though, you guess. Your body feels numb, and as you dig your nails into the wooden floorboards beneath you, you're kind of glad you can’t feel the pain from the force you're putting on them. You don’t remember how you got here, but the way your choking between each cough stops you from fully trying to analyze the situation you're in. When you feel like you can breathe a little better, and the puddle of (your own?) blood starts to register as a little too uncomfortable you attempt to stand. Your muscles feel atrophied and your knees creak, but you do it. Now you're wobbling to the nearest wall to support yourself, since your legs don’t feel like they can hold you up much longer. There’s a single lightbulb in the center of the room, illuminating the spot you woke up half-dead in. You’re still trying your best to breathe, and it feels a lot easier now that you got the blood and shit out of your throat but you can still feel the way your breath hitches as your esophagus tries its best to accommodate from the recent trauma.
Running a hand through your hair you try to recall the events that lead you here, trapped in such a despairing situation. Biting back nausea, you think.
...
A bright red glow filled your vision as the android approached, claw tipped tendrils tapping menacingly. A loud humming filled your ears, drowning out your erratic pulse as a second wave of adrenaline hit your system. You turn to dash further down the corridor of the collapsing building, cursing as your shoes skid across the worn tile floors. You’ve reached a dead end, boxed in by ferroconcrete walls and no way out in sight. Hal approached you, dropping to his feet and somewhat sauntering towards you. Almost cockily. He flashed his synthetic teeth, sporting quite the smile for a droid that claimed to be above emotion. He was enjoying this, and he was practically broadcasting that fact to you through every aspect of this chase. Your lungs burned, a warning that your body was reaching its limit. Attempting to catch your breath was harder than you'd have liked it to be and you knew that you’d have at least one shitty retort to snark at the autonomous fuck before your insides were scooped out, so you tried, unfortunately the most you were able to muster was Hal’s designation between heavy breaths.
“Are you having fun, Dirk?” The glitched vocals coming from Hal’s semi-shattered voice box hit your ears before the initial impact of a claw tip digging itself into your shoulder. Your clavicle was the first point of pain you fully registered, horribly white-hot and responsible for the webbing pain that felt akin to fire spreading through the upper half of your torso. You suppose the shriek you let out wasn’t enough for him as he twists the appendage lodged inside of you until your own screams make your ears ring.
“Hal-” You manage, sinking back against the wall and gripping at the metal limb held closest to you.
“Do you wish to hold my hand as I watch you bleed out and die?”
He tilts his head at you and you just about pass out and accept your fate right then, but something about giving him another win makes your brain kick into overdrive.
You let out a small hysterical laugh, all your aspirations and your many lives worth of work keeps coming back to kill you, gruesomely. "How many times do we have to do this until your satisfied?" You choke out, meeting eyes with the android in front of you. He hums, curling a tendril underneath himself to sit on. "Maybe until I deem you've learned your lesson. Maybe until you learn that playing god never really does work out in the end does it?" He props his chin against the palm of his hand, watching you squirm. "After all, you made one."

Sonic Cyber Revolution, Entry 19: Enter The E.G.G.M.A.N.

''I am the E.G.G.M.A.N; that's what I am! I am the E.G.G.M.A.N; I've got the master plan! I am the E.G.G.M.A.N; that's what I am! I am the E.G.G.M.A.N with the master plan!''
– E.G.G.M.A.N. by Sonic Adventure 2 (Theme of Dr. Eggman)

''Bring it on!''
Sonic charged up, blue sparks flying around him, confronting Metal Sonic. Sonic grinned, well aware that there was no way that Metal would be able to keep up with him while he was powered-up like this. He was running so fast, he appeared to be teleporting around his robotic counterpart. So, this battle would be a piece of cake, a simple game.
Metal Sonic had trouble keeping up with Sonic, his sensors flashing red as they tried to warn him about Sonic's whereabouts. He tried to predict where his counterpart would appear next, but there were too many results, overwhelming his mind. His vision suddenly turned to static for a moment as he felt Sonic uppercutting him, but he managed to stay afloat, turning to where Sonic landed next.
''You are really resilient, Metal,'' Sonic said, charging up for another attack. ''You are as fast as me and you got a fancy weapon. Yet, you can't take me down.''
Metal Sonic charged up, firing a smaller blast at Sonic, who simply dodged it, clearly having the time of his life. Metal Sonic fired more blasts, but the cobalt hedgehog dodged them all as he ran through the street up to Metal Sonic, leaping and spin-dashing right into the robot. However, much to his shock, Metal Sonic managed to catch him and hold him in place, charging up another blast and firing at Sonic point-blank. The cobalt hedgehog hit the ground hard, sparks still flying around him.
''Sonic!'' Lucas called out for his partner, only to be suddenly stopped by Metal Sonic, who blocked his path.
''It looks like even with your power-up, we can still keep up with you,'' Ferra taunted him, with Lucas turning towards her. He kept silent, feeling his own BioEnergy getting drained the longer he and Sonic kept the Chaos Surge up. There was a sudden gust of wind, following by a clashing sound, as Sonic had recovered, spin-dashing right into Metal and knocking him down.
''What do you want from us?'' Lucas asked Ferra. He figured that, while Sonic dealt with Metal, maybe he could get more information from Ferra about what was going on.
''I had already told you; Metal and I are here for another round…'' Ferra started, but Lucas cut her off.
''I know you're working for Eggman, and I know he's behind this attack,'' he stated, his eyes narrowing. ''You're stalling us, aren't you?''
''Stalling you? Why would we do that?'' Ferra asked innocently, despite the unmistakable smug smile on her lips. ''Do you have to be somewhere? Or, maybe you're running out of time.''
''Just get to the point already,'' Lucas growled. His and Ferra's attention briefly turned towards Sonic and Metal, with Sonic managing to run up a building, but despite being still as fast as ever, he was clearly slower, and then going for a homing attack, landing a direct hit on Metal Sonic. However, the robot was more resilient than he appeared to be.
''How do you manage to manipulate BioEnergy to serve as a power-up for your partner?'' Ferra suddenly asked Lucas, who turned back to her.
''You mean, Chaos Surge?'' Lucas responded, blue sparks flying around him. However, the neon blue glow in his eyes grew dimmer. Ferra nodded. ''Why would any of us tell you that?''
''Perhaps for the challenge?'' Ferra suggested. Sonic, who had managed not only to dodge Metal Sonic's blast attack, but also overhear the conversation, turned to Ferra.
''I love a good challenge as any other, but I'm not that stupid,'' he told her. He turned to Lucas, who had narrowed his eyes, staring at Ferra, who was joined by Metal Sonic.
''If they really want a challenge, maybe we should give it to them,'' Lucas said, with one of Sonic's ears drooping as he gave him partner a slack-jawed baffled look.
''Are you serious?!'' he snapped. Lucas, however, ignored his protests.
''In order to perform Chaos Surge, your partner needs to attempt to absorb your BioEnergy, but then reject it once it's in an active state,'' Lucas explained. ''That allows for both of you to absorb it.''
''Lucas!'' Sonic shouted at his partner, completely irritated.
''So, that's how you do it? Interesting. Thanks for the information,'' Ferra turned to Metal Sonic, who extended his hand, calculating how to properly activate the BioEnergy for a Chaos Surge. Lucas felt Sonic tugging at his arm.
''What are you doing?'' Sonic hissed.
''You need to trust me on this. The moment they activate Chaos Surge, charge right at them. I don't have much BioEnergy left, I can only support you that much,'' Lucas replied. Sonic stared at him for a moment, then nodded, understanding what Lucas was up to. The two suddenly noticed a flash of light, turning to Ferra and Metal just as they managed to figure out how to activate Ferra's BioEnergy.
Ferra looked quite pleased, despite the sense of weakness she felt, as she observed the dark blue orb of energy sparking between her and Metal Sonic, only for both of them to get suddenly startled when Sonic spin-dashed right into it. She cried out in dismay as the orb of energy dispersed without getting absorbed, falling on her knees. Metal Sonic attempted to attack Sonic, but Sonic managed to grab him by his leg, swinging him around and throwing him against a building before spin-dashing into his robotic counterpart again, blue sparks flying all around as Sonic finally knocked his counterpart down, creating a small crater in the ground.
Lucas was breathing heavily, his eyes returning to their usual icy blue and Sonic's going back to green as he joined his partner. ''You okay, buddy?''
''Yeah… I cut off the Chaos Surge before I could collapse,'' Lucas replied, gazing at Ferra and Metal Sonic. Metal Sonic was still reeling from the attack, while Ferra was in a bad state, looking like someone knocked the wind out of her. She was on her knees, shaking.
''I'm surprised you knew this would happen,'' Sonic commented. Lucas gave him a sheepish smile.
''I actually didn't… I took a risk,'' he replied. Sonic gave him a surprised look, only to grin.
''You should take risks more often,'' he said as Lucas got on the hoverboard, then extended his hand. ''Let's get to Erekiteru before these two decide to attack us again.''
With that said, he pulled Lucas along, speeding down the streets. Meanwhile, Ferra and Metal Sonic were just glaring at the spot where Lucas and Sonic were moments earlier.
''I didn't not expect they'd pull something like that,'' Ferra grumbled, her legs feeling like lead.
'Your BioEnergy levels are very low,' Metal Sonic noted.
''Yeah, and I can't even move,'' Ferra muttered, taking a deep breath. ''At least we know now how to use Chaos Surge. Next time we meet the two, they're done for.''
xXx
''Boss, Metal Sonic and Ferra had been defeated,'' Orbot informed Eggman as he walked to what appeared to be a booth with a computer and a red gaming chair. Cubot then added, ''Mephiles and Toshiro are still not answering the call.''
''I anticipated this would happen,'' Eggman grumbled as he reached for what appeared to be a circular controller that fit around his arms like a gauntlet and put on what appeared to be a black VR headset in the form of black sunglasses. He turned to the monitor in the booth, eyes narrowing and he smirked. ''At least I don't have to further delay the direct confrontation. That hedgehog is dead.''
The monitors before him lit up, holographic screens appearing around him. Somewhere, away from the booth Eggman was sitting at, a giant red mecha had turned on, Eggman's laughter echoing through the room.
xXx
Shadow kicked the reptilian Buddy Bot back before spin-dashing it into pieces. He had been making quite a lot of progress dealing with the Buddy Bots, managing to break through most of them.
''There are three Buddy Bots upstairs,'' Touka informed him through the holographic screen. ''They're coming down the stairs. Just keep going down that corridor.''
''Understood,'' Shadow replied, the holographic screen next to him closing as he skated down the corridor and stopped at the stairs, looking up. His ears twitched as he heard heavy steps, aware that the Buddy Bots were coming down the stairs, no doubt alerted by his own actions. Nevertheless, they were no match for him, as he easily took them out with another spin-dash, not even needing to use his Chaos powers.
He stared down at the broken Buddy Bots, taking a moment to ponder whether the ARNavs inside the Buddy Bots were really still there, regardless of what Tails and Warren said, but he then ran upstairs to the next floor. He peeked into the corridor, noting there were no Buddy Bots in sight and he couldn't hear any of them either. He then tapped on his AR Visor, opening a holographic screen.
''Touka, where is the next group of Buddy Bots?''
On Touka's end, she was focused on the monitors before her in the surveillance room, trying to keep track of all the Buddy Bots that were still in the building. There were several blind spots or parts where there were no cameras, but fortunately, the Buddy Bots were either patrolling through the building or trying to break into the locked rooms, making it easy for Touka to spot them.
''Go down the corridor and take a left turn,'' Touka instructed him, spotting a gurney being knocked over and blocking a patient's room, with two Buddy Bots trying to remove it and breaking inside. ''There's two more of them.''
Shadow didn't answer and Touka spotted him on another camera as he spin-dashed right into the Buddy Bots, destroying them. He turned to the room for a moment, with the door opening as one of the nurses peeked out, stunned to see him. The ebony hedgehog turned his head, frowning as he spotted something further down the hallway and continued with his mission.
''If we had known that this would happened, we would've never accepted that donation from the Tamago Corporation,'' the receptionist, who was standing next to Touka, shook her head. ''Thank you again for helping us, but how did you know we'd need help?''
''I...'' Touka paused for a moment, unsure whether she should reveal this information, but then relented. ''Kisaki Kageura's my adoptive mother.''
''You're Dr. Kageura's kid?'' The receptionist was surprised. Touka didn't answer, instead focusing on directing Shadow.
''Shadow, take a right and you'll end up at the consulting rooms. You might run into Kisaki there.''
Shadow did as Touka had told him, smashing through two more Buddy Bots and turning his gaze towards the third, when he suddenly heard someone cry out.
''Don't do that!''
Surprised, Shadow managed to dodge the canine Buddy Bot before it could hit him, turning his attention briefly to the person who yelled at him. It was a pale little girl dressed in patient's clothes and an IV needle on the top of her hand, trying to get out of the consulting room while held back by Kisaki.
''You're hurting him! You're hurting my friend!''
''Alana, please, get back inside!'' Kisaki pulled her back, stunned to see Shadow in the corridor. ''Shadow, what are you doing here?''
''Helping,'' Shadow replied as he dodged the Buddy Bots attack. His ears twitched as he heard the little girl crying, but he forced himself to ignore her, smashing the Buddy Bot into pieces before turning back to Kisaki. She was still trying to keep the girl, who was now in hysterics, behind her. He glanced at the smashed Buddy Bot, then started picking it apart, finding the hard drive inside the robots head and then offering it to the girl. ''Your friend can be restored from this.''
Alana took the hard drive, then glanced past Shadow at the empty shell of the robot, then turned back to Shadow, nodding. She was still crying, but she seemed to have calmed down. Shadow then looked at Kisaki.
''Where is Touka?'' she asked.
''At the surveillance room,'' Shadow answered. ''The moment we heard about the Buddy Bots attacking everyone, we came here.''
A holographic screen appeared next to him, revealing Touka. ''Shads, I think we're done here. I checked all the cameras and I couldn't find any more Buddy Bots.''
''Honestly, I can't believe you two have done this,'' Kisaki shook her head, looking at Touka. ''This was dangerous.''
''We know, and the battle's not over yet,'' Touka replied, with Kisaki rising an eyebrow. However, before she could ask more, the holographic screen vanished. When she turned to Shadow, he too suddenly vanished in a flash of light blue light.
''Great,'' Kisaki grumbled, with her patient giving her a confused look.
xXx
''How are you holding up there?'' Minami asked Amy, who leapt and swung her Piko Piko Hammer at one particularly annoying Buddy Bot. The one was cheetah-like and surprisingly agile for a robot.
''Fine, but what about you?'' Amy replied, blocking the Buddy Bot's claws with her hammer. Minami didn't reply, her glowing pink eyes growing dimmer and dimmer as she put more energy into maintaining the energy hammer. Her movements became slowly more and more sluggish. The hammer felt much heavier in her hands than it should. Amy turned to Minami after knocking the Buddy Bot back, her eyes widening. ''Watch out!''
Minami followed Amy's gaze, gasping as she didn't realize another Buddy Bot sneaked up on her and pounced. Suddenly, a streak of red light appeared, with Minami flinching as the figure punched the Buddy Bot into tiny pieces.
''Knuckles!'' She was relieved to see the echidna, whose purple eyes were now glowing red and he was enveloped in red energy sparks. She then turned her gaze towards Lily, who arrived on her hoverboard, her light green eyes red as well. It was clear that they had used Chaos Surge earlier.
''It is great to see you two,'' Amy said, looking at Knuckles and Lily.
''I'm surprised we're the first ones here,'' Lily replied. ''Sure, we found a path that wasn't blocked by authorities or the Buddy Bots, but still, I thought Lucas and Sonic would be here before us.''
''It looks like the Hedgehog didn't make it. Maybe they have fallen in battle,'' Knuckles said, charging at another Buddy Bot.
''Or, they got held up by something,'' Amy suggested as she and Knuckles crushed the Buddy Bot.
''Until then, we can deal with these guys,'' Lily said, her fists now glowing with red energy. She grinned as she charged at a Buddy Bot, punching it straight into the ground. She waved her hand, noting how it didn't hurt at all, despite the fact that she just punched cold metal. ''Honestly, this Chaos Surge power is really awesome!''
''Until you run out of it,'' Minami replied, the glow in her eyes disappearing and her falling down on her knees as the pink energy hammer disipated. She was shaking, feeling weak. Amy ran up to her, worried.
''Are you okay?'' she asked.
''No, I feel awful,'' Minami replied bluntly, taking a deep breath. ''But, I'll be fine. Can you still fight?''
''Yeah, I can,'' Amy said with a determined look. Despite the Chaos Surge waning, she still felt energized. She, Knuckles and Lily surrounded Minami, turning towards the Buddy Bots who went after them, preparing for the onslaught.
xXx
''Are those Irregular Hunters?'' Tails asked Warren. The two were getting close to Erekiteru when they came across a few Buddy Bots.
''They are! They have the Hunter sign on them,'' Warren responded, only to feel a sudden surge of anxiety. ''Right, they too would probably take advantage of the Buddy Bots. The Irregular Hunters cannot go anywhere outside the AR Fields for too long.''
Unfortunately for them, they got spotted by the Hunter Buddy Bots, with sparks flying between their hands. Tails and Warren realized that these robots had some kind of taser, a weapon, and they were in trouble. They could fly over them, Tails with his twin-tails and Warren on the hoverboard, but one of the Hunter Buddy Bots was a hawk, going right after them. Tails and Warren weaved between the buildings and down the street, trying to get rid off the Buddy Bot, but the Hunter fired what appeared to be a burst of lightning.
''What the hell?!'' Warren shouted, him and Tails managing to dodge it and the attack shattering the edge of a building they were hiding behind. ''I did not expect that to happen.''
''They are Hunters, so obviously they'd have weapons,'' Tails said. ''Warren, we need to try out Chaos Surge.''
''I guess we should, but…'' Warren fell silent, only for him and Tails to flinch when they heard another explosion, the Hunter Buddy Bot trying to now shatter the wall behind them. ''We haven't had the time to try it out. We don't know what will happen.''
''Right…'' Tails trailed off, his eyes narrowing as he thought about it for a second. Unlike Sonic or any of the other team members, he didn't really have any special abilities. Sure, he could fly via his tails and he had a genius intellect, but that was it. He had no offensive powers beyond his gadgets. He shuddered as he heard a cold voice mocking him in his head.
''You're a kitsune, yet you cannot even create illusions. What a freak!''
Tails gasped when he felt Warren grabbing him, the latter holding onto the fox tightly as he tried to get away from the Hunter Buddy Bot. He managed to hide behind another building, with the hawk Buddy Bot flying past them. Warren sighed, glancing down at Tails in his arms.
''Are you okay?'' he asked.
''I am… I was just lost in my thoughts,'' Tails replied, his ears drooping. ''You're right, we don't know what will happen if we use Chaos Surge. Maybe it won't even work with me.''
Warren gave him a sympathetic look, feeling something heavy on his chest. He didn't mean to discourage his partner. ''Look, we don't know what will happen, but we do know how BioEnergy reacts in the presence of an Irregular. We should give it a shot.''
Tails frowned, silent for a moment, then looked back at Warren, nodding. ''You're right. We need to try it out.'' He then flew up, hovering right next to Warren, extending his hand. ''Ready?''
''Ready!'' Warren extended his hand, feeling his own BioEnergy being drained, with amber energy sparking between them.
''Chaos Surge!''
As an amber orb of energy appeared between them, they both absorbed it. Tails' light blue eyes and Warren's green eyes turned amber, with yellow and amber energy sparking around them, like electricity. They heard a screech, turning to the hawk Buddy Bot, who flew straight at them, charging up again for another attack. Without thinking, Tails held up his hand, releasing an amber electric wave, which caused the Buddy Bot to suddenly shut down and crash into the ground.
''That was awesome!'' Warren said, but then rose an eyebrow. ''What exactly was it?''
''I think I just shut down the Buddy Bot with some kind of electromagnetic pulse,'' Tails replied, the two spotting Sonic dragging Lucas down a street. He grabbed Warren's hand. ''Com'n, we need to hurry up.''
To Warren's surprise, the moment Tails pulled him along, he created a whirlwind behind him, causing him to fly even faster, to the point he managed to match Sonic's super speed. The two caught up with Sonic and Lucas, the two being genuinely surprised to see them.
''Woah, Tails, since when do you have super speed?'' Sonic asked, being stunned.
''It's a side-effect of the Chaos Surge,'' Tails replied, giving him a questioning look. ''Speaking of super speed, I thought you two have already reached Amy and Minami.''
''We ran into Metal and Ferra,'' Sonic told him. ''Long story short, we beat them, but Lucas ran out of BioEnergy, so we cannot use Chaos Surge. I'm still fine, though.''
Warren glanced at Lucas, who just shrugged, with the four eventually arriving at Erekiteru. They were amazed by the number of trashed Buddy Bots, with Amy, Knuckles and Lily fighting another batch off, that were actually Irregular Hunters. Minami was standing closer to a building, catching her breath. While Lucas and Warren went to Minami, getting off their hoverboards and Tails giving Warren his backpack, Sonic and Tails quickly joined the squirmish.
''Where were you, Hedgehog?'' Knuckles asked, turning to Sonic. ''You say that you're The Fastest Thing Alive, yet you're late.''
''First, I was fighting Metal. Second, we're teammates, you can refer to me by name. Third-'' Sonic replied, spin-dashing into a Hunter Buddy Bot that was about to attack Knuckles. ''It looks like you too are out of power.''
Knuckles looked down at his hands, surprised to see the red energy sparks fading. He turned to Lily, whose red glowing eyes became dimmer, returning to green as she cut off the Chaos Surge. Unfortunately for her, it was right as she was about to kick a Hunter Buddy Bot, narrowly having avoided being electrocuted and now being at the robot's mercy. She fell on her knees, her breath shallow, but the Buddy Bot suddenly fell over, with Tails flying right behind it, having knocked it out with his EMP ability. He gave Lily an encouraging grin, who smiled back as Knuckles helped her up, with Sonic standing next to the echidna, holding up four fingers.
''Forgot to add the fourth point; we're still missing Silver, Makoto, Shadow and Touka,'' he said, with Amy running past him and blocking the path of the Buddy Bot who sneaked up on the cobalt hedgehog.
''They'll be here, I'm sure. Now, how about you get in the game?'' she asked, giving Sonic a side-eye.
''No problem,'' Sonic replied, stretching and then sped right into the oncoming Hunter Buddy Bots.
Meanwhile, Lily joined Lucas, Minami and Warren, with Warren still having the Chaos Surge active and working on a smashed Buddy Bot. Tails' backpack was lying next to him, with the Miles Electric connected to the Buddy Bot. ''What are you doing?''
''Tails' Chaos Surge ability allows him to shut down machines. I'm trying to pinpoint under which signal the Buddy Bots function, so we can use that power on all the Buddy Bots across Neos City,'' Warren explained, turning his attention to the Miles Electric. He frowned. ''I'd need something to enhance the transmission signal, though. An antenna or a satellite will do the job.''
''Well, we're in Erekiteru, there's a bunch of electronics stores,'' Minami said, pointing at the building they were standing next to. ''Not to mention, they're all empty due to the evacuation.''
''I don't think we can just walk into a store and take stuff out of them,'' Lucas protested.
''If someone complains, I'll pay for it,'' Lily told him. ''Besides, we're trying to save the city, aren't we?''
''Yeah, we are…'' Lucas trailed off, with Minami and Lily promptly opening the door to the store and trying to find what Warren needed. Lucas and Warren exchanged looks, before Lucas joined the girls, having managed to find the antenna and bringing it back to Warren, who then attached it to the fallen Buddy Bot. He then looked up at Tails, who had grabbed Sonic and spun him around, causing the hedgehog to crash right into the closest Hunter Buddy Bot.
''Tails, I need your help!'' Warren yelled, waving at the fox.
''What is it?'' Tails asked, flying up to his partner.
''I managed to hack into the Buddy Bots' signal. If you use your EMP, we will be able to deactivate them,'' Warren replied, with Tails nodded. Warren then pointed at the Miles Electric, with Tails placing his hand on it and focusing. Suddenly, there was crackling of electricity, with an amber wave pulsing through the street and continuing through Neos City. To Sonic, Knuckles and Amy's surprise, all of the Buddy Bots they had been fighting suddenly fell over. They turned to Tails and Warren, the latter being exhausted, his and Tails' amber eyes turning back to normal, but was looking at his fox partner with pride.
''Is it over?'' Amy asked, glancing at Knuckles and Sonic.
''Of course it's over! They did it!'' Sonic celebrated, running up to Tails and Warren. ''Awesome work!''
''Hey, Warren was the one who figured out how to shut them down,'' Tails replied, with Sonic ruffling his bangs affectionately.
''Yeah, but you were the one who suggested we use their signal against them,'' Warren replied, taking a deep breath. ''Man, that Chaos Surge was exhausting.''
''Not only that, but also addicting. I never felt a power like this before,'' Tails noted as the rest of the group joined them. ''It's no wonder Irregulars get so aggressive.''
''Well, the main point is that the day is saved and that we have earned ourselves a victory celebration,'' Sonic noted.
''Not until you learned your lesson of not wrecking other people's property, Hedgehog!''
Team Neos suddenly turned towards the source of the voice, feeling a sense of dread creeping up their spines. They were shocked to see giant humanoid red, black and yellow mech flying down, whose head and torso came together in an indistinguishable egg shape, with the head also having a metallic mustache and glasses. On it's back was a jetpack and on the front was a red panel while it's arms hand pointy needles for hands. While the Irregulars remained stunned, their human partners were all hit by a sense of recognition.
''Is that… the Death Egg Robot?'' Lucas was the one to break the silence, rising an eyebrow.
''Hey, yeah, I recognize it now! It's from Sonic the Hedgehog 2!'' Minami was now more excited than frightened. ''That's really cool! Are we fighting the Final Boss now?''
The Death Egg Robot's glasses started to glow, showing a projection of Eggman face.
''While I presume that you already know who I am, I believe that it would be extremely rude to not properly introduce myself before I crush you all,'' Eggman said. ''I am the most brilliant mind in this world, Doctor Ivo Robotnik, and to answer your questions, I know who all of you are, Team Neos.''
''Nobody asked anything, Eggman,'' Sonic said snarkily, walking up to the Death Egg Robot.
''Oh, so we are going straight for the nickname? Very well,'' Eggman replied. ''This may be our first encounter in this life, but unlike you, I am prepared to take you down.''
''You'd have to first catch me,'' Sonic replied, speeding off in a burst of blue, avoiding the Death Egg Robot's attempts of striking it down with its needle-like hands. One hand got stuck in the ground, with Sonic running up the arm and landing on the mech's head, staring down the holographic screen, with Eggman giving him an irritated look. ''Your robot is too slow for this hedgehog, Egghead.''
''Who said anything about matching your speed?'' Eggman replied, pressing a button. Sonic suddenly felt a surge of electricity charging through his body, crying out in pain as the robot grabbed him by the head and threw him straight into the asphalt, leaving a crack in the ground.
''Sonic!'' Lucas screamed for his partner, who was still alive, but visibly bruised. Sonic rubbed his head, looking up at the mech, his eyes widening when he saw miniature red and black mechanic orbs that started flashing red being launched at him. He quickly got up, dodging the explosions.
''That was close,'' Sonic muttered under his breath, keeping a distance from the mech, who suddenly launched the clawed hands at him. Fortunately for him, Amy leapt right in front of him, smashing the robotic hand back with her Piko Piko Hammer.
''Are you okay?'' she asked, standing in front of Sonic protectively.
''Nothing I can't shake off,'' Sonic replied, joined by Tails and Knuckles. He then briefly turned towards Lucas, Warren, Lily and Minami, nodding assurringly. Their partners may not have been able to help them, but they were the main reason why they were protecting Neos City. Sonic then looked up at the holographic screen. ''Hey, Egghead, is that all you've got?''
''Apparently, I haven't hit you hard enough!'' Eggman growled, firing more mines at them, only for the explosives to get caught in cyan energy, which lifted them up and let them explode high above the street. ''What?!''
''Guys!'' The group turned towards the newcomers, that being Silver and Makoto, the sparking cyan energy surrounding them fading away as Makoto joined Lucas and co., while Silver landed beside Sonic and co. ''I'm sorry for being late. Makoto and I got caught up in a few fights and we had to use Chaos Surge and, well...''
''Hey, you arrived just in time for the big finale,'' Sonic assured him. Silver grinned back, him and the rest of the group facing the robot.
''Huh, I was wondering when the rest of your friends would arrive,'' Eggman said nonchalantly. ''I had planned to eliminate all of you at once.''
''I doubt your robot can do anything against my psychokinesis,'' Silver said, flying up and encasing the Death Egg Robot in cyan energy. To his surprise, Eggman started laughing. The grey hedgehog gave the doctor a look of confusion, feeling discouraged. ''Uh, did I say something funny?''
''Ho ho ho ho, I had already told your friends that I was prepared for this battle. And when I said prepared, I meant being able to counter each and every of your abilities, including yours,'' Eggman said, pressing a button that caused a forcefield to envelop the Death Egg Robot, cancelling out Silver's psychokinesis. Silver attempted to send a blast of cyan energy at the robot, but the forcefield negated it.
''It's no use,'' Silver grumbled as he landed next to the rest of his teammates. ''I can't get past it.''
''Have you finally realized just how pathetic all of you are?'' Eggman taunted, only to see a flash of orange light and be met with an explosion powerful enough to make the robot stagger back. This was followed by a light blue light, revealing Shadow and Touka, both charged up thanks to Chaos Surge. Orange and red energy crackled around them, sparking like electricity, their eyes now glowing in the same colour.
''That's one way to deal with the mech,'' Sonic commented, grinning as he glanced at Shadow. ''Points for the dramatic timing, Shads.''
Shadow briefly looked at Sonic, before turning his focus back to the Death Egg Robot. Sonic just pouted slightly at the lack of response, figuring that Shadow wanted to just be done with this mission.
''Let's take him out in one shot,'' Touka said, feeling Shadow drawing her BioEnergy and preparing for an attack. While this was only the second time they used Chaos Surge, Shadow was more confident in his control over it. Red energy was building around him, the mech stepping forward, with Shadow pointing his hands towards it.
''Chaos Blast!''
Shadow unleashed a powerful blast of energy at the Death Egg Robot, seemingly powerful enough to destroy it, only for the panel on the robot's chest to open, absorbing the blast of energy. Touka and Shadow gasped in genuine shock when they saw the generator inside the robot pulsate with the energy it just absorbed. The holographic screen of Eggman appeared, the doctor looking almost bored.
''This is why I should've made my grand entrance when everyone was gathered,'' he grumbled. ''To repeat it for the last time – I am prepared for any kind of attack you use on my mech!'' He snapped his fingers, grinning smugly. ''Thanks for the additional ammunition!''
The Death Egg Robot then fired the absorbed blast of Chaos energy at Touka and Shadow, with Silver suddenly flying before them, creating a barrier, but unfortunately, it started to crack, the blast being too powerful. Fortunately, Shadow grabbed Silver by his shoulder and with the last of the power he had from the Chaos Surge, he, Silver and Touka warped away, causing the blast to blow up the spot where they stood a moment earlier. The three landed next to the rest of the group, the Irregulars having joined their partners. Touka and Shadow have depowered, although curiously, Touka appeared to be less winded than the other human partners.
''Well, that backfired,'' Lily commented in a snarky tone, earning a glare from Touka and Shadow.
''That thing has to have some kind of weakness,'' Lucas said, his eyes narrowing. They couldn't touch the mech directly, unless they wanted to get electrocuted, the forcefield prevented Silver from using his psychokinesis on it and Eggman obviously had an answer for Shadow. They didn't have enough BioEnergy for another Chaos Surge and it was just a matter of time until any of the authorities appeared here since the Buddy Bots were now deactivated. However, there was something he had noticed, then turned to Sonic and the rest of the team. ''Let's scatter around. Eggman cannot keep an eye on all of us, so we can use this to our advantage. Try to find some kind of oddity in the mech.''
''Gotcha! Let's go everyone!'' Sonic said, with Team Neos scattering in all directions.
Eggman scoffed, sending more mines towards them, but Silver easily contained them with his psychokinesis. The robot then lashed towards where Knuckles and Lily were, going for a punch, but Knuckles met it with his own, only to shout in pain as he felt an electric charge. Eggman fired the other arm towards Amy, but she was saved by Sonic, who picked her up bridal style and sped below the robot, causing Eggman to briefly become disoriented, not anticipating the spin-dash to the knee from Shadow, the robot trembling.
Meanwhile, Lucas and co. tried to stay away from the mech for their own safety, but not wanting to let the Irregulars fight on their own, they scouted for something, anything, that would help them break down the Death Egg Robot.
''What's that?'' Makoto muttered under his breath, narrowly avoiding a stray mine that was meant for Tails and flying up on his hoverboard as he found a panel at the back of the robot, next to the jetpack. Instead of yelling to get everyone's attention, he flew up to Tails, pointing at the panel. ''I think I found something! Over there!''
''If it's what I think it is, I could use it to get access to the Death Egg Robot,'' Tails said, eyes narrowing in concentration. He then flew off towards Warren, who was holding onto his backpack. ''Warren, I give me the backpack!''
''Okay!'' Warren threw it towards Tails, the fox managing to grab it just as another mine flew towards them. Fortunately, it exploded before it could land anywhere near them, thanks to a well-timed Chaos Spear from Shadow. Having an idea, Tails quickly flew towards the ebony hedgehog.
''Shadow, I need your help!'' he said, with Shadow turning towards him. ''There is a panel on the back of the robot and I need to get to it.''
Shadow gazed at where Tails was pointing, then nodded, extending his arm. ''Hold on.''
Tails grabbed it, and Shadow warped them right next to the panel, all without Eggman, who was currently busy trying to take down Sonic, noticing. Both grabbed onto the jetpack, with Tails trying to pry the panel open, but it would budge. ''Shadow, could you-'' Before he even finished the sentence, Shadow fired a weaker version of Chaos Blast at the panel, destroying it and revealing the wires beneath it. Tails smiled at the ebony hedgehog. ''Thanks!''
Meanwhile, Sonic avoided another of Eggman's attacks, trying to keep the mad doctor's attention on himself. Sure, he couldn't touch the robot, but that didn't mean that he could run circles around it. He had spotted Tails and Shadow at the back of the mech, with noticing the grin of satisfaction Tails' expression as he turned to Shadow and the two warped away. Realizing that things have reached their turning point, Sonic ran up to Knuckles.
''Give me a boost!'' he said, pointing at the mech. Knuckles looked up at it, then at Sonic, nodding as the cobalt hedgehog rolled into a ball and the echidna threw him at the mech. Sonic hit the chest of the mech, bouncing up and landing on its head. As he expected, the holographic screen appeared before him, with Eggman grinning at him.
''You're done for, hedgehog!'' He gleefully pressed a button, but to his surprise, nothing happened. ''Wh- What is going on?!''
Sonic just smirked. ''Looks like Tails took care of the defenses.'' He turned towards his friends below the mech, yelling. ''Everyone! Go for an all-out attack!''
Sonic then leapt, curling into a ball and spin-dashing straight into the mech, causing it to stagger back, but it regained its balance. Eggman gritted his teeth, firing the hands as if they were missiles at the group, but Knuckles and Amy leapt forward, punching and hitting each of the hand and drilling them into the ground, while Silver flew above, using his psychokinesis on the legs of the mech to keep it in place.
Meanwhile, Sonic landed right next to Shadow, grinning at the latter. ''How about we finally finish this?''
''I thought you'd be disappointed that the battle is already over,'' Shadow replied in a teasing tone, him and Sonic both turning towards the mech.
''Oh, I am, but I have a feeling this won't be the last one,'' Sonic responded, both getting into a starting position.
The two hedgehogs then rushed towards the mech at a speed of light, leaving only a blue and a black and orange streak behind, going into a spin-dash through each side of the mech's chest. Each of the hedgehogs landed on the opposite buildings, using the momentum to bounce off them and strike right through the mech in an X pattern in perfect sync before landing on the ground, skidding to halt as they now stood next to each other. The Death Egg Robot exploded into tiny pieces, the holographic projection vanishing as Eggman screamed in pure fury.
''I HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!''
Sonic and Shadow were joined by the rest of the team, who were cheering in relief that Eggman was finally defeated. Unknown to them, someone was watching their little celebration, standing high above on one of the buildings.
''Looks like the Doctor overestimated himself,'' Mephiles said. Toshiro's eyes narrowed as he stared down at Team Neos, who quickly scattered as clearly none of them wanted to deal with the clean up. ''Team Neos is quite capable of dealing with robotic threats and the Doctor made them aware of his presence. They will be better prepared next time he launches an attack.''
''I thought that was the point of this whole battle,'' Toshiro said, sounding rather bored. ''In any case, I doubt he'll be doing anything in the next few days, as the entirety of Neos City is on alert.''
''So, are you suggesting we delay our plan?'' Mephiles asked.
''We will strike when it's the perfect moment,'' Toshiro replied, his and Mephiles' gaze having been set on Touka and Shadow during the whole battle. He smirked deviously. ''After all, this is a family matter.''

Why did I just have a nightmare that started with kids watching some toy looking trains pass by in like a valley underneath them in the streets, then one kid having a similar toy, and then that kid getting home to the same neighborhood apartment as the SpyxFamily anime, but like they're temporarily staying in a large extravagant apartment that looks modern for the age their fictional world lives in. So then Loid, the father, is like looking at some strange obelisk about how ancient people could overcome getting cavities, and he's nodding to it as he stares at the strange, carved in words illuminated by an overhead light and a mysterious glow coming from inside the rocks, making dream me feel bad about tooth problems going on irl, when suddenly there's a portal looking hole with a small toy train in it?
Loid pales and tells Anya and Yor (the dog did not appear in my dream) to go back to their rooms. As they do Loid goes to the TV, and a train set takes over the screen, morphing into a little (sans error undertale looking ass) kid(still just a kid, not a skeleton). And Loid just? Recognizes the demon? And the demon recognizes him back? Classic demon having a beef from fighting childhood Loid I guess. At first, the TV demon wanted to "play a game", quickly popping up all of those dumb childhood horror games that has become popular irl, but then as Loid becomes annoying with his adult inquiries the demon lunges at his face! And with a tiresome but constant struggle, like someone putting a magnet into a magnet wand a specific way when there are more magnets in it, Loid is winning?
But then without either of them knowing until they can hear the toilet flushing, Anya, who maybe can't read a demons mind?, had gone to the house toilet room. And where the living room had become a trap for the demon to lunge at Loid again, suddenly you hear little Anya scream in the bathroom. Loid hesitates for a bit, expecting the demon to have split up to distract him and then attack, as he calls for Yor, but with no answer. Loid jumps over the couch and dashes to the bathroom to find Anya, now with a cocomelon headband!(oooh scary!) Loid peels the cocomelon off of the standstill Anya, who's brain the demon could not fully control instantly, like how you peel a magnet off of a barely metal ball. Loid wins, and now there is a thin, mildly flexible and moving cocomelon headband wriggling in his hands, begging for mercy. The implications for what Loid is going to do with the demon go wild with violence as his face scarily darkens over the demon that dared mess with his mission
And then like, my alarm woke me up. And it took me a solid half an hour to write this all out.
