Ms Okumara Getting Heated
OPEN RP (Preestablished Relationship)
Tumblr media
Dating President Haru Okumara was one of the greatest things anyone could ever ask for. The woman was the sweetest, kindest, most loving person in the world. The head of Okumara Foods doing her best to make you and everyone else happy
....
And she was your boss at the same time. Adding that level of excitement and kinkiness to your already wonderful relationships
...
And then came this heat wave
As your muse entered the office you saw her. The floofy haired presidents shirt unbuttoned, revealing hints of her full breasts with no bra under her tight white shirt. The shirt almost see-through as she mindlessly looked out of the window. The woman clearly suffering from the heat like everyone else... But looking oh so beautiful at the same time...
...
"Oh, it's you. I wasn't expecting anyone. Is everything okay?" Haru asked, blinking softly as she turned to your muse. A look of love and concern crossing her face

Best plant girl 10/10
I've been playing a lot of P5R again trying to finish it, and I romanced her this time <3
I love Haru especially much because she shares a lot of features with me that I've been very self-conscious about in my life (and some that I still am) like floofy hair & tall forehead, and she's just so cute with them that it makes me feel better about my face too ;v;

just the two of us... and the divine dogs — megumi fushiguro
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ೃ pairing: megumi fushiguro x fem! reader
ೃ  tags: fluff, a cute date in the park
ೃ  warnings: none!
ೃ wc: 1.6k words
ೃ  it was an otherwise perfect day for megumi to finally destress and be at peace from all of the drama surrounding the jujutsu world, but after you have a fated reunion with a childhood sweetheart, your boyfriend and his divine dogs find ways to get you back for the rest of the day.
ೃ a late birthday gift to @chibishae34! i hope you enjoy shae bestie! <3
Tumblr media
Perhaps it was the rhythmic chant of cicadas and the light reflecting off of the beaming sun that lulled you into this calm and comforting state of being. The last days of summer- in all it's glorious sunsets and fading colors. Freeing your mind from the chaos that has been the recent events revolving the Jujutsu World. Not to mention being able to experience nature's delightful and healing presence with your handsomely stoic boyfriend, Megumi Fushiguro, felt like something out of a romance novel. So blissful. So perfect. It just felt too good to be true. You're out with him on a day at Ueno Park, walking Megumi's divine dogs. It's not the ideal date nor was it Megumi's kind of thing, but he needed the time to destress and get away from all the heavy emotional and physical burden of being a Jujutsu Sorcerer right now. Aside from that, Shikigamis deserve walks too! His divine dogs were floofy and adorable little cuties who deserved the world. And although Megumi had never bothered to name them, you decided to give them their own nicknames. the white ball of fluff was nicknamed Haru, whereas the latter darker wolf was nicknamed Tsuki. The day had been perfect so far for Megumi. You're walking hand in hand, his divine dogs are cutely tied into leashes with little bells, the sun was smiling, the sky tickled and teased by wispy white clouds, bright yellow butterflies danced a flowery waltz with buzzing bees and a shadowy wave rippled across the sleepy meadow of lush green. There was no other way to describe this day than to call it pure bliss. Just absolute bliss.
Tumblr media
"I'll get us some drinks." Megumi mutters, his hand breaks away from yours as he points to a nearby vending machine. "D-do you want your usual? The melon soda?" He adds monotonously. "You know me so well." You smile sweetly at him. "I'll be sitting over there, 'kay?" You then gesture to a park bench near a towering tree that had a beautiful shaded view of the entire area. It was a lovely spot for the both of you to spend the rest of your day in. He nods before leaving with Tsuki and Haru as you watch him walk away animatedly. Watching his figure walk further and further away. Seconds pass by as you continue to stare lovestruck at your boyfriend- when you suddenly feel a light tap on your shoulder. "(Y/N)! It's nice to see you here!" A voice calls out from behind. You turn your attention to see who it was and you find someone from your past- your childhood sweetheart come into view. His attractive features still remain the same. The innocent and gentle look in his eyes is still present and his soft dark hair brought you back to the times when you would make flower crowns for them. They still look the same and you can't help but reminisce. But... the feelings for him are gone of course. Your eyes widen and your mouth goes practically agape, "Rei! I can't believe you're here! How are you in Tokyo!?" "My family and I are vacationing here for a while." He chuckles, your baffled expression kept him chortling to no end. "What about you? What made you stroll around Ueno Park on such a perfect day?" "Oh! I'm with my boyfriend! He's just-" You turn your head, gesturing to Megumi who was now nowhere to be seen near the vending machines. Shifting your gaze from side to side, he was still nowhere to be found. "M-megumi?" You call out softly, a bit worried. "Maybe he went to the restroom?" Rei suggests as you turn your attention to him once again. Tapping his feet to the slightly awkward silence, he clears his throat. "Would you like to wait for him over there?" He points to the same scenic spot where you promised to sit at with Megumi. "I'd love to meet him!" Walking in slow strides, you can't help but grow worried at Megumi's sudden disappearance. Did he look for other vending machines? Did he actually go to the public lavatory? What about Haru and Tsuki? Why didn't he leave you with them if he went to relieve himself? You slightly perk up when you hear leaves rustling in the bushes. About to look for where the source of the sound came from, Rei's affirming and friendly words subsequently drown out all your suspicion and signs of worry. With a bite of your lip, you pay it no mind and continue to walk to your destination. Unbeknownst to you, The source of such suspicious sound came from your disgruntled boyfriend and his two puppers hiding in the shadows.
Tumblr media
(Megumi's Point of View)
(Y/N) and her weird touchy childhood friend sat on a park bench underneath the scenic tree overlooking the park.
I would have no problem with this.
But... that's where we were supposed to sit.
Me and (Y/N). No one else.
90% of the parkgoers around them were couples-- that says it all, as far as I'm concerned.
"Tch. When will that bastard leave?" I turn away from the dismal scene, leaning and hiding against a bush with Tsuki in my arms, giving him a good rub, and with Haru at my side, panting softly and wagging his tail. "Haru, Tsuki, Can you do me a favor and go take a nice bite out of that bastard?" I turn to my two divine dogs as they whimper audibly in response, almost as if saying no. "What's taking him so long?" The bastard finally speaks, sinfully patting (Y/N) on the shoulder. "Maybe he got lost?" Burying my face in Tsuki's fur, I grow even more irritated. There's clear intent that he does not want me within a few feet of (Y/N) and him. There's this coarseness in his voice like he's praying to the gods to wish me away or something. Jokes on you asshole, I'm just here listening along. (Y/N) shakes her head, her beautiful features more prominent underneath the delicate shade. "Megumi knows Ueno Park like the back of his hand. Frankly, I would get lost before he does." Thinking about it with as cool a head as I can manage, there is no particular reason I should be cross with them. I've been together with (Y/N) for about a year and a half now, it was far from the first time that some smug asshole from her school or from her past life in the countryside would declare their love for her.   Even so... My mind is convinced but why isn't my heart? If I'm confident about our relationship then why am I tailing them in the first place? Why didn't I just rush to (Y/N) as soon as they started talking? Just as I was about to pick myself up, at that very moment- The flirtatious scum snakes his hand away from (Y/N) to look at the time on his watch, "I'll have to go soon. We're scheduled to tour around the Ikebukuro district today. Maybe we can meet up one of these days? Before I go back to the countryside, that is!" With not the slightest hesitance, (maybe he saw me staring into his soul?) he props up from his seat and bids farewell. "Oh! Of course!" (Y/N) blinks, tilting her head in confusion as to why he stood up so suddenly. "I'll have your number then?" "Yea! Let me get my-" "WOOF!" (Y/N) furrows her brows, turning indignantly at the huge bush before her. Shit. Shit. Shit. She recognized Haru's bark. "Haru? Are you there?" "Arf!" Haru leaps out of the shrubbery at her call before I can get a hold of his tie, jumping into (Y/N)'s arms and smothering her face with affectionate licks and sniffs. A burst of giggles escapes from my girlfriend's lips as the man next to her stood still, albeit awkwardly. She narrows her eyes, turning to the hedge where I've been hiding once more. With a hefty sigh and her hands resting on her hips, my jig is finally up. "Megumi... I know you're there." Idly petting Tsuki, I let out a huge sigh and finally reveal my cover. Her childhood friend notices the death in my gaze as soon as he sees me come into view and quickly escapes the scene. "I'll see you around, (Y/N)! It was nice meeting you, Megumi!" He saunters away before I could curse him off. I shift my attention to (Y/N) once more as I step out of the bush, head low. "I'm sorry for spying on you like that. I didn't know what to do or how to approach you as soon as the two of you started talking. It was like the both of you were in your own world." "I'd like to a-apologize too." (Y/N) says firmly, approaching me with an apologetic smile.  "I was being unfair and got too caught up in the moment that I didn't even bother looking for you. Major flags when he asked to stroll further away from where I was supposed to wait for you. I'm sorry, Megumi." "Guess we're even now." Enveloping her into a warm and comforting hug, I intertwine my fingers with hers and bring her back to the park bench. With the rest of the day in our hands, waiting for the sun to go down, and my divine dogs plopped on the grass at our side.... This was all I needed to achieve a sense of calm. Momentary peace amongst the grueling demands of my life studying to be a Jujutsu Sorcerer. That was all it took for a day to become perfect.

ppl love to forget that katara: 1. has her own taste, 2. developed around aang, he needed her for his development and vice versa, 3. ZUTARA IS SHIP BETWEEN AN OPPRESOR X OPPRESSED!!! Ignoring all of the development they had with their respective partners and the trauma Zuko caused Katara!!
In the infamous words of one Luke Skywalker: amazing. every word of what you just said was wrong.
It’s actually kind of ironic that you bring up Katara’s taste, since, throughout the show, we have examples of the guys she likes, to greater or lesser extents in canon--Jet (explicit romantic feelings on her part, word of god that jet was her first kiss--a kiss that would have been consensual, incidentally, something you should keep in mind for later) and Haru (she denies the crush, but that could just as easily have been because of the abomination he’d been growing on his lip rather than denying those feelings ever existed), both of whom have much more in common (in terms of both emotional and physical maturity, and physical appearance) with Zuko than either of them has with Aang.
Zuko’s book 3 hairstyle is almost exactly reminiscent of Jet’s, even, if not quite as floofy.
(This is probably in part because of Jet’s function as a foil of Zuko within the narrative, particularly given their book 2 encounters, which I think just further solidifies my point that, were it not for extenuating circumstances [like the fact that Zuko was introduced as an enemy and they had significant obstacles to hurdle before they could be friends], Zuko would have been exactly Katara’s type. Had they met under different circumstances, she could have been the girl he went on a date with in Ba Sing Se. Just something to think about.)
So, yes, we’ve established that Katara has her own taste. Her tastes seem to be boys with great hair who are taller than her, the same age or older, and of a similar maturity level.
Aang falls short (heh, short) on all counts. So it isn’t Katara’s taste in boys that led her to be interested in him. Hm!
Next, you claim that Katara ‘developed around Aang’--that she was necessary for his development, and that he was necessary for hers.
Let’s take a moment to examine that, shall we?
I will absolutely grant you that Katara was necessary for Aang’s development--only to a point, of course, but we’ll get to that later--but was he really necessary for Katara‘s growth? I suppose I could grant you this on a generous technicality--he did, after all, provide her with the means to finally leave the South Pole and find a waterbending master to teach her (although she wound up largely self-taught anyway). But that had nothing to do with his relationship to Katara and everything to do with the structure of the plot--Katara and Sokka find Aang (and he never would have gotten out of that iceberg without Katara’s own righteous anger, so even that leads back to her own power), and then they go on a quest to find teachers for the Chosen One and save the world.
The story could not have begun without first finding Aang and then providing means for the other main characters to travel with him (or, in Zuko’s case, chase him), but this has nothing at all to do with Aang’s relationship to Katara. Aang was not a mover in Katara’s developmental arc--if anything, he acted as an obstacle more often than not, his actions ranging from innocent but obnoxious (playing and flirting with girls rather than helping with chores like picking up vital supplies, leaving Katara to do all of the quite literal heavy lifting and keeping her stuck in the role of caretaker that she’d been thrust into following the death of her mother), to deliberate and harmful (hiding the map to Katara and Sokka’s father, a truly selfish action, regardless of his lack of malicious intent, and one for which he never actually apologized), to somewhere in between (”she didn’t really mean that” he says to the man refusing to train Katara because she’s a girl, when yes, she very much did mean that, and Aang was no help in finally getting the old codger to eat his words--Katara had to shove them down his throat her own damn self).
While Katara’s overall arc wasn’t exactly big and dynamic (like Zuko’s redemption arc), or in-your-face (like Sokka getting force-fed Respect Women Juice and his eventual growth into a tactician and leader), it was very much present and woven into her character--and Aang had almost no part in it. He provided her with the means to get to the North Pole, but left Katara alone to fight the patriarchy herself. He messed around while Katara took it on herself to do the chores and keep the Gaang alive, but he did almost nothing to decrease that burden so she could grow out of the caretaker role. (Contrary to popular shipper claims, Aang didn’t actually teach Katara to have fun. She already knew how to have fun. But she couldn’t indulge, because she had a responsibility to her family and her tribe, and later to her brother and Aang and Toph, and Aang goofing off and trying to get her to do the same only added to her burdens rather than subtracting from them.) He provided Katara with the necessary motive to learn to heal herself, but he certainly didn’t seem to learn from the experience of accidentally burning her, preferring instead to claim he was never going to firebend again, despite already knowing, at that point, that he was going to need to master fire along with the other elements to become a fully realized Avatar and defeat the Firelord.
He didn’t help Katara keep them alive during The Desert. (In fact, he ran off, leaving her to desperately try to keep Sokka and Toph from succumbing to the heat while worrying for his safety.) In The Painted Lady, Katara makes the decision to stall the Gaang and do what she can to help the Fire Nation villagers on her own--Aang agrees to help her when he finds out, but he wasn’t actually instrumental in her making that choice. The Puppetmaster was, again, Katara finding a master of her own, and having to deal with the fallout from that. And in The Southern Raiders, Aang was--perhaps unknowingly, if I’m being generous, because he is a child and could not reasonably be expected to fully understand the implications of what he was asking her to do or why it was impossible--actively impeding Katara’s development! She desperately needed closure, something he could not understand and actively belittled and dismissed. The only reason he relented in the end (but not without a condescending ‘I forgive you! Does that give you any ideas???’ parting shot lmao) was because Katara was planning to take Appa anyway, and letting her go (and hoping she’d just magically wind up doing things his way) was easier than trying to fight her on it.
While Aang’s existence was necessary for Katara to start down her own path, she needed neither his guidance nor his approval to follow it--and absolutely nothing would change about Katara’s arc if you removed their romantic relationship entirely.
Possibly because the only changes needed to do so would be to remove the two times Aang kissed Katara without her consent (which, hopefully, no one would actually miss), and the epilogue kiss (which was awkward and unnecessary to begin with, since ending the entire show on a romantic kiss as the final shot kind of missed the point of the story to begin with, but that’s another discussion). None of these kisses (which are the only moments in which Katara’s feelings for Aang are so much as addressed; do note that addressing them, or hinting that they needed to be, is not the same as saying she exhibited any sign of reciprocating them) altered anything about Katara’s behavior, her personal arc, or (and perhaps most critically) her relationship with Aang.
It’s that last point that is really damning, as far as ‘Katara obviously had feelings for Aang, she kissed him in the finale!’ goes. Because she didn’t ‘obviously’ have feelings for him. And the fact that he kissed her before the invasion and then she forgot about it (she literally had no idea what he was talking about during the play’s intermission until he reminded her that he’d kissed her) is pretty clear evidence that she didn’t actually have feelings for him. Not the kind he had for her.
I’ve been a teenage girl. I know what it’s like to be surprise!kissed by your crush. And I absolutely for a full fact know that I had not completely forgotten about that kiss three months later and had, in fact, spent most of my waking hours thinking about it and remembering it and trying to talk to him about it. Now, granted, I was not in the middle of a war, but even if I had been, I doubt I would have needed reminding about the fact that the boy I’ve supposedly been developing feelings for had kissed me and showed clearly that he had those feelings for me too.
At the very least, if Katara was harboring feelings that she was worried about approaching until after the war, her relationship dynamic with Aang should have shifted. But it didn’t. She acted the exact same way with him after the Day of Black Sun as she did before it--that is, as a mother figure and a caretaker, responsible for his wellbeing. (And it’s clear she never took him down off the pedestal she needed him to occupy, either--let it not be said that the unhealthy aspects of their relationship only went one way.)
And book 3 is, incidentally, where Katara went from being vital to Aang’s development to being detrimental to it--or, rather, Aang’s refusal to let go of his attachment to her (despite ostensibly having done as much at the end of book 2) was. Because despite having been told by, perhaps, the greatest authority left in the world on Air Nomad culture (even more than Aang, who had left his temple with a child’s understanding of his culture that was never able to mature because he got stuck in the ice berg while his people were wiped out) that he had to let go of his possessive attachment to this girl who never even expressed the possibility that she might harbor romantic feelings for him to begin with, after Azula killed him and Katara brought him back, he went right back into the mindset of Katara is mine, it’s just a matter of time.
And the narrative validated him for it.
Notice how, during Ember Island Players, Aang says the following (emphasis mine):
“We kissed at the invasion, and I thought we were gonna be together. But we’re not.”
First of all, if you go back and watch the scene, it’s clear it wasn’t a mutual kiss. Aang sprang a surprise kiss on Katara, which left her shocked and unhappy after he flew off. (The decision to have her looking away and frowning was a deliberate one on the part of Bryke, who wanted Katara’s feelings kept ambiguous. Heaven forbid you allow the animators to make it clear that this fourteen-year-old girl who was just kissed without her consent by someone she’d never once demonstrated romantic feelings toward might actually have some. Heaven forbid she have a little agency in her own romantic narrative. But whatever.)
Second, he says he thought they were gonna be together.
He thought.
He never once even asked Katara what she thought--or even how she felt. He just assumes. He assumes that if he kisses her, she’ll kiss him back and they’ll get together. He assumes that she must have feelings for him, even though her body language is closed off and she told him with her words that she did not want to talk or think about this right now, and kisses her regardless of those signals, upsetting her and leading her to storm off.
And the narrative rewards him, because despite the fact that they don’t have a single significant scene together after that second disastrous kiss, Katara just decides off-screen that she Does Love Him Really and walks onto the balcony to make out with him.
The upshot of all this being that, while Katara was indeed instrumental to a lot of Aang’s early growth and development, Aang was not necessary for her own arc, and their romantic relationship (such as it was) actively hampered Aang’s development in book 3, while removing it would change absolutely nothing for Katara (except saving her from some painfully embarrassing memories).
As far as your third point, I’m simply not going to get baited into explaining how reducing Zutara to an ‘oppressor/oppressed’ relationship is not only insulting to interracial couples irl (not to mention any other couple with a potentially unbalanced dynamic of societal power, since there are many more axis of oppression than just racial), but demeaning to Zuko and Katara, their personal arcs as well as their relationship development together.
However, I will point out that Zuko was not responsible for any of Katara’s trauma. She did not find violence and fighting in bending battles to be traumatic--in fact, she reveled in it. She enjoyed fighting against Zuko at multiple points (especially noticeable in their battle at the end of book 1), because she wanted to fight--she always had--and once she had the ability, she was ready to throw down with anyone who gave her the slightest reason. (Including, by the way, her own potential waterbending master.) Aang’s death at the end of book 2 was Azula’s doing, and while I think that contributed to Katara’s extreme reaction to Zuko joining the gaang, it was not something for which she actively blamed him, and it wasn’t something she believed would be repeated--she let him go off alone on a journey to find the original firebending masters with Aang well before she chose to forgive him. So she already trusted Zuko’s intentions and that Aang would be safe with him.
Finally, because this has gotten long enough already, I hope you now understand that Zuko and Katara getting together would not require ignoring any of their development with their canonical romantic partners. We’ve already established that Katara’s arc wouldn’t change in the slightest if all of Aang’s romantic advances were removed, and I haven’t even gotten into how Mai meant nothing in the grand scheme of Zuko’s development because I’m pretty sure that’s just self-evident. I mean, the video compilation put together by Nick showcasing Zuko’s journey throughout the series doesn’t include a single scene with Mai, though it does include several with Katara, and even Jin makes an appearance--because Katara, and even Jin, played key roles in Zuko’s personal journey, while his relationship with Mai happened entirely off-screen and her only real function was to showcase just how unhealthy trying to force himself back into the role of the Crown Prince was for him.
What development, exactly, is there between them to even ignore?
At any rate, I’ve gone on long enough--I hope you enjoy the fact that you activated my wordvomit trap card right when i was about to go to bed, anon, because I just spent two hours writing this instead. In case you’re interested in the TL;DR: at the end of the day, there was no meaningful, mutual development in Kataang’s romantic relationship, and those romantic feelings that did exist were largely one-sided and ultimately detrimental to Aang’s development in the final third of his overall arc. Meanwhile, Mai meant nothing to Zuko’s journey--rather like Aang’s romantic overtures, she could be removed from the show completely and nothing about his story would change--while Zuko and Katara were both vital to each other’s overall storylines, arcs and development. This, coupled with the fact that Zuko never actually traumatized Katara and, in fact, helped her achieve closure from the biggest source of her own trauma, means that Zuko and Katara have better and more believable build up that could potentially lead to a romantic relationship than either of them have with their canon romantic partners.
So no, anon, I didn’t forget anything--I think you may have, though. Perhaps a rewatch is in order? Make sure not to close your eyes for the back half of book 3 this time.

In the Stairwell (Kissing Prompt 20)
Request: Kissing prompt #20 for Haruhi Fujioka x Nb reader? 👉👈
Title: In the Stairwell (Kissing Prompt 20)
Genre: floofy and romantic, ohohoo
Pairing: Haruhi Fujioka x NB!Reader
Notes: When I saw this, I was kind of floored. I’ll admit, when I decided to partake in the prompt list, I didn’t read through every single prompt. I saw a request, though, and I got really excited. When I checked the prompt number, though, I just straight up GUSHED. The ideas that hit me square in the face were too good to even think of passing up!
That said, I didn’t know what type of request you wanted anon, but I hope a short scenario will suffice! I also found this to be a slightly touchy prompt to write, and since I don’t want to offend anyone with this work, I left the pronouns as ‘they’ and provided instances in which you could choose.
“20. Kissing in a stairwell, giving them an artificial height difference. “
Below the cut!
Tumblr media
The day flew by. Everything seemed to be somewhat calm all day, and the academy was much more mellow than the halls typically allowed. Your classes flew by, Haruhi’s classes flew by, and the club activities had gone by just as smoothly - or, rather, that they were the same as normal.
She had decided to stop by your after-school club, (club), but that got held up when Tamaki had stopped her. Haruhi’s time was held back. All she really wanted to do at the moment was see her ‘soulmate’, as coined by the twins.
(Y/n), on the other side of the school, was prepped and ready to do the same. They had all of their things packed and ready, their uniform shoved away in a spare bag, and their cell in their hand. The way to the stairs was already spotted from her perch below a nearby balcony, and despite the confusing nature of the prestigious academy, their path was already very clear.
Haruhi had managed to slip away from her senior soon enough, hoping to find (Y/n) before they left school grounds. Though this didn’t happen normally, she still wanted to make sure that she could reach them before they reached her.
This was normal, but their height was a primary reason for this. (Y/n) was the taller of the two, while Haruhi rested on the shorter side. When they would try to make a game out of who could find the other first, (Y/n)’s height had been an advantage that they had simply laughed at and commented how “cute you had been” to Haruhi.
She didn’t mind the jokes, but every once in a while, she’d try her damnedest to reach them first, just to prove that her height didn’t mean that she couldn’t reach them first.
Hence why this scene was so shocking. The couple were both determined to reach the other, so when they met eyes from different leveled staircases, they rushed to reach each other before the other did.
Haruhi had been standing and watching the stairs below her while (Y/n) had been viewing the decor of the school as they practically marched up the said steps Haruhi was watching. “(Y/n)?”
“Hmm?” they muttered, their (deep/high) voice ringing through the silent halls. It wasn’t until they looked up that they realized the shorter female was watching them. “Are we gonna do this, Haruhi?”
Said female shrugged. “I don’t know, are we?” (Y/n) rolled their eyes and walked faster. Haruhi had began to sprint down the stairs, and despite her lack of stamina, the momentum that had been provided from the slope of the stairs let her speed up with little consequence.
The chase was on, and against the time and feel of the day, the two were laughing like toddlers as they were targeting the other. It wasn’t until they met on middle ground, another staircase.
Haruhi, for once, had been able to wait for (Y/n), and her reaction was exhilarating for her viewing. She’d won! Finally!
She stood there, slightly out of breath, as said lover slowly reached her. “Damn, you beat me. Great job, Haru.”
“Mhm, now I can say that I’m taller than you for once.”
“Oh really?”
“Yep, sure am.”
(Y/n) observed the scene, and at the sight of the setting sun starting to fall that cast a glow upon the short-haired female’s frame in front of her, they were overcome with the sudden urge to kiss her. Her big brown eyes were sparkling, and with the way that she had started to lean down, (Y/n) could only suspect that she felt the same.
So Haruhi, in all her temporarily-taller glory, leant down and locked her lips with her significant other on the second step below her. It was slow, it was soft, and it contradicted their interaction of the past few minutes, but it was all that they could ask for.
A kiss as the sun falls into the horizon? Perfect.

As I said for my Hulkera kid, I've actually always loved Caiera and Betty for MANY reasons as they're actually quite both relatable to each other AND have some unique differences between them. For SOME reason everyone always likes to have these two characters be pitted against each other purely for Bruce's angst so instead here's a child where who knows, Caiera and Betty really dig each other and then months later this lil chick comes out anyway notes:
Kinda thinking genderfluid? Real shifting pronouns as they get older
No one knew if they were Joe or Betty's kid and even getting older, it's still confusing
Name is Haru and sorkaing of, the Hulkera kid is named Selena from here on out!
Has browner hair from Betty but it comes off as red in certain lightings and often gets fluffed up or slicked back when they're a child and later an adult
Scar over left eye from where they got caught in a power muting collar and couldn't heal it back after injury. They like it! It gives character
Green eyes from Cai and it gets joked that its Hulk's joke relation to them
Lil freckles and is a Harpy mutate but their plumage has brighter mixed sheens??? Kinda like a pigeon has them u know
Got matching pericings on their eyebrows with the Selena kid when they left Earth
Lil fangy smirk always, Joe taught them well and they know it often puts on the charm or upsets people
Has BIG floofy ears. I themed Haru's ears off how some owls have big floofy points and often they needed to keep their ears protected and cleaned as a child
At 16-17 they kinda have a mid life crisis/breakdown and thus try to run away to become a space pirate under Lady Hellbender's orders before Haru's parents all come slamming after them
Had an incident with their powers as a child that ended with Selena getting hurt and it affected Haru quite badly
Ends up running a space cargo/pirate/rescue ship. The first two are Haru's actual jobs but they refuse to admit the fact that they have a giant need to save people and mother hen just as badly as their parents do.
NEVER fucking call Haru an ostrich they DARE YOU
Grows to be 8'3, very slender muscles and hollow bone structures to help with flight aka Haru is light af, Bruce can lift them.
FLOOFS up when embarrassed or happy.

“Aww, I always knew you could be a romantic! How are you hide this from me!” I imagine Louise saying this to baron when setting up a date with Haru for the first time or Louise saying this to Persephone on their first date. Either one basically. Also love your The Bureau Series so amazing!!!!😍😍😍👍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍👍👍
A/N: Thank you! This went through several variations and AUs, before I settled on just a generic ficlet, inspired by the date scene out of Thor: The Dark World.
(Human Baron is - as usual - based on @letterstoathens‘ design, because I love floofy Baron! His fashion choices come from the manga, although the polka dot tie turns up in both the manga and WotH.)
x
There was a strange human standing in the Bureau, and Louise could already tell this flying visit was going to evolve into chaos.
She could usually handle chaos. Chaos was the natural state of the universe, after all, especially after she had dropped by, but, even so… Her brother carried a certain kind of chaos that was usually compounded by his own tendencies to overthink and then overreact. If he was lucky, in that order.
As the Bureau doors swung shut behind Louise, the man looked up and she saw bright green - familiar - eyes.
“Humbert?”
He fumbled with the hideous bow tie he was knotting, and jumped like a child caught with his hand in the cookie jar. “Louise?”
Maybe she should have visited before now.
She marched over to the desk he was standing before, and pointedly looked her brother up and down with a raised eyebrow. “What is this?” she asked. “What is going on?Why are you…” she gestured to him in general, “human?”
Humbert hesitated. “Would you believe me if I said this was a mid-life crisis?”
“We’re immortal, Humbert. We don’t have a mid-life to have a crisis over.” She gave him another sweeping look. “At least, you were immortal…”
“It’s a temporary shape-shifting spell, Louise. Just enough for a couple of hours, nothing more dramatic than that.”
“Sure, but why do you even need to be human, unless…” She trailed off, and for the first time, looked beyond his immediate humanness. He wasn’t wearing his usual grey suit, instead opting for a sleeker, more understated black suit, offset by a yellow waistcoat and that awful polka dot bow tie. He had forgone fighting with it, and was now attempting to rein in the new challenge of hair - curly, ginger hair that didn’t behave anything like fur, much to his dismay. His movement was precise and curt, but Louise had known her brother long enough to recognise the undercurrent ebb of nerves. “Are you going on a date?” she demanded.
His hair slipped loose from his grip, and he scowled at her. “How did you even–”
“You are! Oh, this is adorable!”
“Louise–” He cut off as Louise abruptly squeezed his face between her hands.
“You’re in love? With a human? Tell me all about them!Where did you meet them? What are they like? Do they know you’re a Creation? Why didn’t you tell me about this before–?”
Humbert swiped her away, and consciously tucked back the hair that had fallen over his eyes. “I don’t have time for this–”
“What you don’t have time for is for me to not fix up your appearance. I mean, really, when was the last time you went out socially into the Human World? Never mind, that top hat says it all. You want my advice–”
“No.”
“–lose the top hat. And the cane. It’s not 1885 anymore, so unless you’re meeting this human at a renaissance fair, you need to look like you’ve at least heard of the 21st Century.”
Humbert watched, visibly nonplussed, as Louise vanished into the back room and started rootling through his wardrobe.
“So,” she called, “are you going to tell me about this person or not?” She poked her head back out when he didn’t immediately respond. “Oh, don’t sulk. This is exciting! The last time you dated someone, it was called courting and it required a chaperone.”
Humbert glowered, but relented. “Her name is Haru, and we met on a case.”
Louise’s head appeared at the door again. “A client? You’re dating a client?”
“Ex-client,” Humbert stressed. “And, technically, we’re not dating.”
“But you want to.”
“Would you let me finish?”
“Sorry.”
Humbert took a steadying breath, and Louise mentally upped the nervous level she had originally pegged her brother at. “It was… years ago. At least a decade. She rescued a cat who turned out to be the prince of the Cat Kingdom, and had to come to us for help when the Cat Kingdom took it upon themselves to thank her.”
“It doesn’t sound that bad.”
“They kidnapped her and tried to marry her off to the royal family.”
“Oh.”
“Needless to say, we managed to bring those plans to a halt, and only broke one tower in the process–”
“Wait. Wait, Haru? Haru Yoshioka? The human who saved King Lune and Queen Yuki?”
Humbert blinked. “You’re familiar with her?”
“I…” and Louise did her best not to give a telling blush, “may have had some dealings with the Cat Kingdom in my travels. News of King Claudius abdicating in favour of his son was kind of a big thing.”
Humbert considered this. And then, to Louise’s relief, nodded at the sense she was making. “Regardless, we brought her home safe, and we thought that was that…”
“Until?”
“Until recently when we met her again during a case.” His eyes softened at the memory, and it took all of Louise’s self-control not to coo. “I had almost forgotten her, certainly didn’t recognise her until she dropped her name, and even then I couldn’t recall her case immediately.”
Louise snorted. “That bodes well.”
“It was years ago,” Humbert retorted, heat rising to his face. “We’ve had many cases since then, and I had expected her to forget me in kind. Most humans do when they return back to their normal lives. I certainly had not expected to find her exorcising a haunted office!”
“Okay, it’s official; she’s way too cool for you.”
“Yes, well,” Baron continued, not entirely denying her claim, “it seemed the natural course of action to work together - it turns out that after her brush with the supernatural, she can’t unsee it, and so she’s been working as a… I believe the term she used was ‘monster-hunter’ in the years since - and–”
“And you fell in love with her.”
“I wish to get to know her better,” Humbert hotly amended. “I do not know her well enough to claim my feelings to be anywhere in the realm of love, but–”
“Yes, yes, yes, but that doesn’t explain all this,” and Louise motioned to his human form once again. “If she knows you’re a Creation, why not just invite her to another world and have tea there? Why go to all this…” and she gestured to his hair, “trouble?”
“She doesn’t know I’m a Creation.”
“But you said–”
“The case required a human form, and so I took on this disguise.” He had the decency to look very sheepish. “When I met Haru, I didn’t recognise her and so I gave her my cover story.”
“And now you have a date with her and you’re too embarrassed to tell her the truth.”
“I will tell her the truth,” Humbert retorted. “It’s just…” And he mumbled something.
“What was that?” Louise asked.
“It’s just, she still remembers our first encounter.”
“And?”
He mumbled again.
“Humbert, really, speak up. You were created eloquently, don’t pretend otherwise. What happened on your first meeting?”
“She confessed she had… feelings for me. A schoolgirl’s crush.”
“So you turned her down.”
“Obviously.”
“And now she’s a monster-hunter, ass-kicking badass, and completely out of your league–”
“Thanks, Louise.”
“–you’ve ironically developed a crush on her.”
“I told you that I merely wish to get to know her better…” He hesitated and then, after a dubious pause, added, “The issue lies in that I do not wish to… worry her with reminding her of our last conversation.” He shook his head. “Anyway, I imagine she has long since outgrown that schoolgirl crush, so there’s no need to remind her of it.”
“Hm,” Louise responded noncommittally. “Yeah, okay, but before you head off to sweep this Haru off her feet, you’re going to need to swap that bow tie.”
“What’s wrong with my tie–”
“Have you looked in the mirror?”
“It’s fine–”
“It has polka dots,” Louise retorted. She threw a plain blue tie at him. “Wear that instead.”
“Louise–”
“I mean, if we had the time, I’d suggest maybe something a little less formal for a first date, but I’ll settle with the removal of that abomination. Where are you meeting anyway? A restaurant? Movie? Wait, I’ve got it - are you going on a joint case together? You know, they say situations of dire peril are meant to bring people closer.” She cooed, “Aww, I always knew you could be a romantic! How dare you hide this from me!”
Humbert raised an eyebrow, but did exchange bow ties. “We’re just meeting at a cafe.” And then, when he saw Louise’s gleeful expression dissolve into disappointment, added, “Ordinary, human date, remember?” He finished tying his bow tie with a flourish. “Tonight, it’s just two humans having a perfectly ordinary afternoon.”
x
Louise had got a point, Baron couldn’t help but think as he watched Haru absorb herself in the menu. He hadn’t really spent that much time out in the Human World, and he certainly couldn’t consider himself an expert in the realm of modern dating. Not even a little bit.
Still. He was fairly certain that it didn’t take this long to choose a cake.
He should say something. Start a conversation. Get to know her, as he had told Louise. But the manners that his artisan had built into him rebelled against the idea of interrupting someone when they were deep in thought - and Haru was deep in thought, regardless of whether the menu was the cause or not - and so he found his tongue tied.
He wrote ‘hello’ on a napkin and slid it onto Haru’s side of the table.
He felt her gaze guiltily move from the menu and onto him.
“Hello,” he greeted cheerfully. He offered a reassuring smile across the cafe table.
Haru sheepishly returned it. “Hi.”
Throwing all caution to the wind, he jumped in. “So what’s the story with you?”
“Story?” She laughed and shrugged quickly. “Why does there have to be a story? There’s no story.”
“You’ve spent the first ten minutes of our date hiding behind a menu that has three cake choices,”  he told her gently. “It’s either brownie, lemon drizzle cake, or carrot cake.” He grinned. “And you’re a self-described monster-hunter. Now, I think there’s a story, and given how you are suddenly indecisive over cake, when you were perfectly capable of facing down an oni two days back, I think this has less to do with the food choices, and more to do with the date situation.”
She stared at him for a long moment, and he abruptly wondered whether he had already messed this date up. Then she laughed and batted a hand before her face to hide the already-rising blush. “Okay, you got me. Darn it, and I thought I was being so subtle.”
“So there is a story?”
“There’s a guy,” she said. “Past tense,” she was quick to add. “A guy that I knew… years ago, who I had the biggest crush on.” She reddened. “He, uh, made it quite clear that it was a one-way thing though, and we lost touch with one another after that. But, um…” and here, she deliberately avoided Baron’s gaze, “you… kind of remind me of him?”
She waited for him to say something, evidently mortified by her own admission.
Baron had to resist the urge to laugh.
“I remind you of an old crush?” he asked instead.
“Just a… just a little bit. You know,” and she motioned weakly to his face, “the eyes, your accent, the outfit…”
“Was he also English?”
She scrunched up her nose. “I mean… I guess? The accent was, anyway.”
“Then that explains it. In England, you’re only allowed to wear such dapper suits if you have the accent to match.”
She laughed then. The anxiety drained from her, and the blush adorning her cheeks went from embarrassment to amusement. She leant in with a conspiring glint. “What if you’re caught faking the accent?”
“That’s what the Tower of London is for.”
She laughed again, and Baron found himself beginning to relax. This really wasn’t so difficult. Maybe he needn’t have worried after all. Yes. This was all under control. He could do this.
A shadow appeared over them, and his brain kicked onto automatic. “Sorry, we haven’t made a choice yet, but if you could bring over a jug of water, that would be grand.”
“Water? On a date? How exciting.”
Baron looked up and saw that the shadow was not that of a waiter, but of a young woman, short, with her brown hair cut into a neat bob. Definitely not staff.
Haru sighed. “Sorry, this is Hiromi, my future ex-friend. Hiromi, this is my date, who I told you about.” Haru shot a meaningful look at the newcomer, who completely sidestepped it.
“Sweet. He’s cute.”
“Hiromi.”
“Anyway, I’m just dropping by,” Hiromi continued. She grabbed a nearby chair and hauled it over. “Are you going to eat those biscuits? No? Cool.”
“Hiromi, what are you doing here?”
Haru’s friend set to picking out the on-the-house biscuits, snapping them in half and nibbling along the edges. “Okay, so, I drop by your house, fully expecting you to be cleaning off the goo off whatever monster-of-the-week you stopped this time, but you’re not. You’re wearing lady clothes and jewellery, and you’ve actually showered with proper scented shower gel, not that nasty goo-be-gone gel that gets out bloodstains–”
“Is there a point to all this,” Haru asked desperately, “because there really needs to be a point to all this.”
“Right, okay.” Hiromi finished her biscuit and brushed the crumbs off the table. “Well, then I remembered that you said you were meeting up with that dude you met when stopping the office oni–”
Baron had to resist the urge to remind her that he was right there.
“–which is just as well, because you remember that programme you made to alert you if there were any sudden blips of that weird strong toy magic?” Hiromi thrust a phone across at Haru. “Well, you might want to take a look.”
“It’s not toy magic,” Haru could be heard to mumble, but her fingers twitched as she read the screen’s data. She looked sharply - hopefully - up at Hiromi, and then her gaze slid guiltily back to Baron. The shrug she gave aimed for nonchalance and missed. “I’m sure it’s just… a blip. Make a note of the location, and I’ll check it out later. It’s probably nothing.”
“It doesn’t look like nothing,” Hiromi said. “It kinda looks like the readings you went cuckoo over last winter. You know, with the talking tin soldier?”
Baron suddenly recalled hearing about a fellow Creation - a toy soldier - in the next town over, and suspicions began to crawl into his bones over the exact nature of Haru’s search. He flexed his human hands and wondered whether the transformation magic might have triggered the blip.
“Oh yeah,” Hiromi said to Baron, “Haru told me that you know all about the magic and monsters and everything. All supernatural creatures give off a distinct type of magic signature, and Haru has this interest in these living toys–”
“They’re Creations,” Haru amended, “and he’s really not interested–”
“I’m interested,” Baron said.
“–and I’m not interested,” Haru continued. “Time for you to go now.”
Hiromi paused, and glanced between the two of them. She raised an eyebrow and rose back to her feet. “O-kay. Well, enjoy the date!”
There was a long, dubious pause in the silence that followed.
“She seems… nice,” Baron eventually ventured.
“She needs manners,” Haru said. “I’m so sorry–”
“Don’t be. Actually, she reminds me a lot of my sister. All energy and good intentions wrapped up in a chaotic bundle.”
Haru snorted and flipped open the menu again. “That’s Hiromi, all right.”
Baron smiled and followed suit. He glanced over the options, as if he hadn’t chosen a good fifteen minutes ago. When an acceptable minute had passed, he said, “I think I’m going to go with the carrot cake.”
“Carrot cake,” Haru echoed. “Yeah, carrot cake sounds good.” Baron watched her as her eyes glazed over the page. “Carrot cake. Carrot cake, carrot cake, carrot cake…” The words continued to trip over her tongue, barely conscious of the shape of them. “Carrot cake…”
Baron smiled and folded his menu. “Haru?”
“Hm?”
“Maybe you should stop saying ‘carrot cake’ and go after your friend.”
“Oh, no, I couldn’t just leave–”
“It’s fine. I can just stay here and say carrot cake alone.”  He offered her a good-natured smile. “Go on. It’s obviously important to you.”
Haru’s guilty expression sank into relief. “Thank you.” She had already half-risen to her feet before she visibly remembered her manners. She spun back to him. “This has been… so much fun, we should… definitely do this again.” She grinned apologetically and ran off after Hiromi.
Baron waited until they were out of sight before jumping to his feet and shooting in the opposite direction. He tripped over a trash bag obscuring the alleyway, his gaze so intent on the skies. “Toto? Toto!”
Toto landed on a bin skip, appraising Baron’s ruffled appearance with a critical eye. “That date was short.”
“Haru is… Haru is… she’s…” He motioned for Toto to wait for him to regain his breath and senses. He broke out into a grin. “She’s looking for me.”
“Looking for you?”
“She’s following spikes of Creation magic, and she’s picked up the shape-shifting spell I used to become human, and...” He trailed off as his train of logic hit a brick wall.
Toto, as usual, filled in the dots as quickly - or if not quicker - than Baron. “The spell which you used halfway across the city,” he said, “while you are here. Human.”
“Yes.”
Toto sighed. “I’ll find her and stall her until you can get back.” Toto gave an amused grin. “Hopefully the human disguise will have worn off before then, otherwise you’re going to have a lot of questions to answer before you even start.”
Baron grinned back. “I’ll improvise.”
“Oh good.”

【The Two Lovers】
You were born to a firebender and waterbender within a small mining village. Since your father was one of the soldiers who were in charge of said village, you were an outcast. Nearly everyone looked down on you for your Fire Nation heritage except for mother and son duo; Kai & Haru. Despite what your father represented they respected you and your mother as separate entities from him. He had never harassed, stolen or taken anything nor anyone from the village. It hadn't come out until after your father was taken that he had been plotting to liberate the village from Fire Nation rule. Kai and Haru became support pillars for both you and your mother causing Haru and yourself to become quite close. A strong friendship blossomed into love and within a year of your father being taken, Haru asked you to be his girlfriend. It was four years later that the avatar came to the village and freed the prisoner ship leading to the liberation of your village. A few months later Haru came to you on your 2 year anniversary and gave you a necklace. A traditional Water Tribe betrothal necklace. Inscribed on the light blue stone was a beautiful crescent moon above ocean waves. On the back of the stone were the symbols of the Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation and Water Tribes, indicating all the nations you were involved with. The necklace warmed your heart and just made you melt that Haru had went out of his way to complete a Water Tribe tradition for you. You happily accepted and when requested to aid Avatar Aang on the day of black sun, Haru, Tyro and yourself went to their aid. Your firebending would be useless but your waterbending was on par with masters. Despite the loss on that day, you three went home in one piece and after the end of the 100 year war, you two were wed. You helped the village grow and prosper, teaching earthbenders many firebending forms to aid them in creating new earthbending moves. You were an asset to the village and the first to show that it was heritage that defined someones bending. You were also the first to show that village that double bending was possible.

                   𝐀𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐫 𝐊𝐲𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐢
【The Warriors】
You have been with Kyoshi since the beginning. You were abandoned on the same pier as she and were rescued by Kelsang with her. You are an waterbender abandoned by your nomadic tribe after your abilities were discovered. A waterbender had not been born in your tribe for centuries and you were considered a curse due to being born after your mother had an affair with an Air Nomad. She was forced yo abandon you when this was discovered when you were 6 and she became an outcast of the tribe. Around the age of 13, you began to develop feelings for the Warrior and she you but neither confessed until the age of 17. At the age of 17 Kyoshi found she was the Avatar and you quickly became her Waterbending teacher. Your mother had left you a priceless waterbending scroll that was only known within your tribe. You taught Kyoshi these moves and she excelled. At 18, you confessed to her and she gladly accepted you as her girlfriend. You became the first Waterbender to train as a Kyoshi Warrior and the first Kyoshi Warrior to excell and beat Kyoshi in hand-to-hand combat. You gained respect from the others and you were accepted as Avatar Kyoshi's girlfriend. At 20, you gave Kyoshi a Betrothal Necklace. You had fashioned the traditional necklace in a untraditional way by making it Green to represent the Earth Kingdom. It represented your love for her and by proxy had hints of gold within that had been melted down from a ring you had been left by your mother. She meant more to you than the ring and you showed her this by including the gold from said ring in the necklace. You gave it to her on your 2 year anniversary and she graciously accepted. She wore the necklace with pride, most did not notice it at first since it looked so natural with her usual wear but once they had, you were held in even higher regard as the Avatar's Betrothed. You married her at 23 and adopted a young girl at 24. You two were pivotal parts of Kyoshi Island and seen as the highest standing members of the Island which your daughter soon became apart of when she was old enough to talk.

{ okumura haru } || persona 5
Tumblr media
She is an actual sheep! Floofy hair, floofy clothes and all.
As well as a relatively wealthy girl; fledgling heiress to the brand Okumura Foods.
After becoming tired of being her father’s pawn for the 17-18 years of her life, she decided to take charge of her life and forcibly change its course -- though consequentially, it triggered a series of events that resulted in the loss of her father’s life. ( Kind of some heavy stuff there between the lines, but. )
She’s coping with it quite quaintly, however, and intends to make the best of her situation from here on out. Working with the company to make a chain of cafés would be an ideal start, wouldn’t it? Maybe she has a chance here...
She dreams of things like justice and heroism but is a part of a renegade group herself, well-intended as it might be.
In her free time, she uses her green thumb to tend to her garden. Here, she’ll likely be found trying to upturn empty soil into vegetable plots.
A coffee aficionado! She cultivates her own coffee beans, so please let her brew you a cup.
She also likes horror. And swinging an axe.

My handle is Emi.
I’m a barista with an unforgiving intolerance for dairy and caffeine despite enjoying it.
I also like sunflowers and corgis. I have a tendency to talk way too much and ramble on forever so if anyone ever interacts with me, please feel free to spray me with a water bottle if things get too long!
I’ll get a starter call out here soon once I read the event. It’s nice meeting you all!

Jealousy- Chapter2 (Goro Akechi x reader)
Wooh here’s the part 2 thats overdue, watch me decide to make this 20 chapters long lmafo
ooh ooh warning- the events in chapter 2 and onwards are cannon to the actual game meaning Akechi is...
chapter 1 can be thought of as part of this, or as a separate fic where Akechi hasn’t done...things...
spoilers ahead
-mod goro
Makoto took a deep breath, pulling herself fully upright as she brought the microphone to her mouth, “Well then, we will now begin today’s panel. Our guest of honor is Goro Akechi.”
A bright spotlight reigned down on the detective in center stage, who gestured  with his gloved hand, smiling. “I feel kind of bad considering how many people have gathered....I’m sure you all would’ve been happier to have a singer or mascot appear, wouldn’t you say?”
The crowd laughed, as Makoto continued, with more confidence. “We’d appreciate it if you could tell us about your experiences with the notorious Phantom Thieves.” She copied Akechi, turning up charm to the max and lathering on her words like honey, “It’d be wonderful if you could let us hear more about your actual investigative process.”
Akechi leaned on the podium in front of him, not one to lose he put on his own sweet-tooth smile. “I’m not used to being the one interrogated...so please go easy on me.”
Once again, the crowd laughed, Akechi had a way with people you knew that for sure.
“...How much do you think he knows.” Ann whispered to your group, up in the rafters. Below sitting in the crowd you could see the floofy hair of Haru and the blazing head of orange hair that was Futaba, sitting in her same frog-crouched position. The two had managed to grab two seats in the packed auditorium- Goro Akechi had literally sold out the gym. Ann had managed to snag a key to the rafters from a male who worked for the drama club, the 5 of you creeping quietly as to not attract any attention- it was highly likely the rafters were off-limits, that didn’t stop you all from positioning yourself with a good view of the stage. she nearly throttled Ryuji when he tripped on the stairs, causing the smack of metal against skin to vibrate throughout the hall. Luckily, with how loud the gym was at the time and how focused everyone was looking on stage, waiting for Akechi to show, you all managed to sneak up without being spotted.
“Either he has an idea who the true culprit is, or...he has uncovered the identities of the Phantom Thieves.” Yusuke mumbled,
Ryuji leaned on the railing, beside Ann. Apparently they didn’t care about being seen anymore. “C’mon Makoto....! You gotta get it outta him....!”
Yes, Makoto was under a lot of pressure. She was tasked with prying information about the phantom thieves out of Akechi, despite that fact that you were a friend of Akechi, you wouldn’t want to go head to head with him in a situation like this- this was his stage.
“As much as you’re allowed to say, would you tell us how far along your investigation is on them?” Makoto continued.
“Getting right to the point, I see.” Akechi commented.
You made a slight ‘tsk’ sound. Akechi was cocky, and pointed out every single thing Makoto did and why, just in a different, roundabout way.
You had a bad feeling, thing’s weren’t going to end well.
“Well, if it’s as much as I’m allowed to say, then everything on TV and the internet is all of it. We don’t have any leads yet, and the methods behind their crimes are still unclear.”
“I see...Even with this country’s power, arresting them is proving to be difficult....is that the case?” Makoto asked.
Akechi turned it over in his mind. “I wouldn’t phrase it that way...but well, something like that.”
“Something like that my ass.” you growled. The police had nothing, you knew that for a fact. If, and only if, they had something- it would have to be from Akechi.
For that one, one reason, because of his one comment.
“Thank you for answering that question.” Makoto hummed, voice sweet like a child’s. Alright, at the very least you all know that the police can’t arrest the thieves at the moment, without fabricating piles of evidence and having fake witnesses. “...By the way, it seems you’ve denied a correlation between the Phantom Thieves and the murders...Why the sudden change? Until now, haven’t you upheld your stance that the Phantom thieves are dangerous? How are you so positive that they haven’t committed murder?”
Akechi breaks into his TV- oriented smile. “Aren’t you a little too comfortable interrogating people? Why, it’s as if you’re a prosecutor.” An attempt to derail the conversation and also stabbing at the fact that she’s acting like her obviously corrupted-sister. A disguised low blow.
The crowd laughed, god they must be tired of it by now.
Makoto flushed slightly, embarrassed and a twinge of bitterness making her brow crease in the slightest as she closed her eyes. “Ah, excuse me. This is something I’ve personally been interested in so I couldn’t help it...” She opened her eyes, focusing on Goro. “But won’t you tell us...?”
‘Atta girl Makoto, keep up the heat.
“What reason is there that you’d claim their innocence when you previously stated they were unjust?”
Akechi turned to the audience for the first time since the interview started. “Every person whose heart they changed have truly been criminals, including Okumura. Why then, was he the only one who needed to be killed?”
“Why is that?” Makoto smiled, throwing the question back at him. That was the best way to do it, never put in your statement, just keep asking the same things out of the person to avoid them trying to interrogate you.
It was like watching two lions fight. Makoto and Goro both looking for the other to slip up and to gain the upper-hand.
Akechi looked forlorn, “I must admit...I couldn’t deduce a reason. That’s why I believe that case should be through of as if a different party is responsible.”
He leaned back off of the podium, the same natural look plastered on his face, “And if- This is all hypothetical, mind you, If the Phantom Thieves are the ones I know of, I can’t possible imagine they would kill anyone.”
A cry of shock rang throughout the auditorium, you felt a stone drop in your stomach. Down below you saw Futaba’s hair whip towards Akechi. Beside you, Yusuke tightened the grip on his arm, gnawing on his lip.
Makoto, startled, stuttered back into character. “Y-your comment just now...Does this mean the police have already identified who they are?”
“Dammit, fuck!” you felt like punching the wall. If this conversation continued...
Akechi frowned, but you knew he was really smiling, he realized it too, Makoto had fallen into his trap. “Oh, no. The police haven’t gotten that far yet.”
He paused, to let the audience laugh, before turning to look directly at those standing in the rafters.
“But I have my own conclusions about the true identities of the Phantom Thieves.”
Your blood ran cold.
“He’s gotta be bluffin’!” Ryuji barked, slamming his hands on the railing.
Ann smacked his arm, “Pipe down!”
Haru and Futaba were huddled together, mumbling. Makoto had a dear-in-headlights look, her brain frantically trying to say something that could steer the conversation off course.
Akechi smiled, barely hiding pride. The lion was defeating the lioness. “You’re not going to ask me who they are...?” He asked oh-so-innocently. At this point he was just daring her to try him. ‘Do it, weren’t you so confident in getting information out of me? Where did that honey-like smile go?’
“He’s just playing her like a fiddle.” you mumbled to yourself. It was hard to believe this was the same guy who less than 24 hours ago, was talking in the courtyard with you about being friends, how he wanted to be friends, how he wasn’t used to being friends with people.
You wonder how much of it was fake, could be fake.
Ann gripped the railing so hard it made a noise.
“...it may have repercussions on the investigation. Are you sure you can share that with us?” Makoto was not even trying to hide her glare. She was frustrated.
Akechi raised his chin, “It’s only my personal opinion, so announcing that here wouldn’t pose a problem.”
“However....” He continued.
While looking at Makoto, his eyes momentarily drifted back again towards the rafters, he locked eyes with you for a moment and you help your breath until he looked away.
“...There is a possibility that everyone present will hear the truth before the police or media...
“The truth...?” Ann whispered, fear lacing her words.
Makoto huffed,“That’s quite the confidence you have....if you’re so certain...then very well....”
She took a breath, steeling herself. Once she asks this, there was the high probability Goro would call her out right then and there, in front of the crowd. If that happened she needed to be ready, to act, to deal with the situation in any means necessary.
Her last words, before, now that you look back on it, was the last moment before you would pretend that everything was okay, that you could continue attempting cracking the ice-tough detective without any fears of something sinister hiding underneath Goro Akechi’s mask.
She opened her mouth.
“I’d like to ask you then: Who do you think the Phantom Thieves are, Akechi-san?”
Akechi-san, the lioness is wounded is trying her best to soften the blow she know will kill her.
“That, idiot!” Ryuji hissed.
“No, Ryuji,” You murmured, tugging his arm. “She had no choice, you have to know that.”
He met your eyes, you and Ryuji had been through a lot- being your first friend since you got to Shujin, besides Ann, and eventually Akira. He respected you, unlike Ann who he always bickered with, he always tried his best to please you. Taking you out to eat, friendly talks between classes- nothing there was ever implied to be more than friends, and you both were okay with that.
He sighed, rubbing his eyes with his palm, he’s just scared, and you know that, understand that.
“No...there’s no way he could have any evidence.” Yusuke mumbled in terror.
You’re not so sure you believe that now.
“They’re people you all know quite well.” Akechi started. “The identity of the Phantom Thieves are-”
Almost comically and to the relief of your group, Akechi’s phone rang.
He pulled it out, “Oh, it’s mine. I apologize for the interruption, but I can’t turn off my phone due to my job....would you mind if I step away for about...ten minutes or so...?”
“I’m terribly sorry, everyone, but we’ll be taking a break.” Makoto said, trying to keep the relief out of her voice. “We’ll resume the panel in ten minutes.”
Akechi pocketed his phone, grinning. “Please don’t troll me online for this interuption, ok?”
For some reason, you felt the strong urge to go online and do just that.
Akechi bowed, and then walked over to Makoto. The two of them exchanged a few words. Akechi moved behind the girl, whispering something in her ear.
For some reason, you felt the hairs on your arm stand up, your teeth clench tighter.
Makoto gave Akechi a side-eye glare, biting her lip before the two disappeared behind the curtain.
“H-hey, it’s Makoto.” Ann mumbled, motioning to the IM app on her phone. You checked on your own as well,
Makoto, 2:47pm: P.E faculty office. Now. Everyone.
“Dammit!” Ryuji mumbled, rubbing his head. “It’s that damn Akechi!”
“What should we do...?” Ann murmured in a trance-like state.
Akira, who hadn’t said anything since the panel started, finally spoke up. “I think, we should be on guard.”
Yusuke shivered, the lanky boy had probably burned all of his calories out of fear by now.
Below you, Haru and Futaba were squeezing past people in the rows to get out of the gym.
“We only have 10 minutes, we should hurry.” Akira said. Yusuke, Ann and Ryuji all hurried down the stairs, legs shaking. You stayed behind to wait for Akira, who was still standing, looking at the stage, the gleam from his glasses hid most of his face.
“Kurusu...?” You called out. He snapped his head towards you. “We should go.”
“Right.” He nodded, following you down the stairs, pushing the double doors and out into the blinding light of the sun.
---
Akechi slapped down three photos on the table. From the cries of Haru and Ryuji, you knew the plan of ‘trying not to look suspicious while Akechi interrogates us’ flew out the window with any other logical thoughts.
“Please, let’s not feign ignorance.” Akechi purred. Goddammit did his voice find a way into your blood, you shivered again. “All of you can go to that other world too, yes?”
Akira stepped up, as the leader, picking up his broken team in his own hands. “What do you mean, ‘us too’?”
Akechi smiled, “It’s not just all of you. I am aware of that world too...”
Hidden behind a stack of boxes, you could see the tuffs of Morgana’s fur. He was sleeping on the grass while the panel was going on (Ryuji almost stepped on his tail while rushing out of the gym) and you all informed him of what had happened on the way to the office.
“What? He was about to reveal the identities of the phantom thieves?” Morgana’s tiny voice cried, running to keep up with everyone power-walking.
“Yeah, now we’re in deep shit.” Ryuji cursed, trying to calm his nerves.
“Well, what’s done is done, all we can do is try to either play dumb or work out a deal.” Akira mumbled.
Morgana’s tail twitched, left to right and back again.
“I found out about that world a month ago.” Aekchi stated, pulling his phone to show the currant-red eye of the Navigation app. “This had been installed onto my phone without my knowledge.”
You winced, Akira hummed, Morgana’s tail flicked up, once.
You sincerely, sincerely, sincerely hoped you were wrong, but even so, you can’t hide the fact that the evidence is looking right at you in the face.
No one else, except for 3 out of the group seem to have realized it.
Ryuji rolled his arm, grabbing his shoulder, as if he was going to fight. “We’ve been listenin’ to you blab on for a while now, but cut the delusional-”
Akechi shut him down promptly, “All of you are acting as Phantom Thieves in the Metaverse. I can say so with conviction because I have the same power as you.”
Everyone was quiet and tense for a moment, no one no knowing or wanting to say anything.
“That’s right.” Akira spoke up, his hands taken out of his pockets. “And what now?”
“So, you don’t deny it then.” Akechi hummed. “To be honest, I’ve been curious about you since the time of the Madarame case.”
“We didn’t kill anyone!” Haru gave a shrill cry. Of course she’d feel the need to say that, it was her own father that was killed after all.
“I believe that, as well.” Akechi confirmed. He seemed like he was telling the truth, at least.
Makoto cradled her hands nervously, “How can you be so sure?”
And Akechi was willing to answer that as well.“Because I saw another- the real culprit.”
Instantly, everyone in the group recoiled. Shock and fear turned into anger, this was the person that was framing the Phantom Thieves, intentionally or not, for murder.
Akechi hushed any outcries. “I couldn’t identify his face...he had a mask on, after all.”
“He?” You questioned, speaking Akechi for the first time since the day before. “So you know this person is a male.
Akechi winced, it was so small that it only looked as if his eye was twitching but it was there nonetheless, then collecting himself, answered. “Yes, from his figure I could assume it was male.”
He cradled his head, face scrunched as the retold his story. “Actually, when I took these photos, I entered that world too. That’s when I saw someone else moving about, besides all of you....He shot at me the moment he noticed me.”
Yusuke folded his arms, shifting his position. “That’s who killed president Okumura?”
Akechi removed his hand, nodding. “Most likely. At the very least, I was almost killed by him...’I can’t die here, I need to determine the truth.’ When those thoughts overcame me, I awakened to that power- a most fortunate accident.”
And all this happened, a month ago.
“This guy has a persona too...?” you heard Morgana mumble from his position behind the boxes.
Akechi jolted, his eyebrows raised up past the edges of his fringe. “This cat...”
Morgana’s tail shot up in astonishment.
Goro shook his head. “I-i swear it just.....talked....!”
Ann spoke up, words flowing out of her in a rushed breath. “Morgana. Our teammate who taught us about the Metaverse.”
Akechi recoiled, before slowly returning, even closer to inspect Morgana. It slowly became more and more difficult to stop yourself from laughing- Goro always acted polished, calm and collected at all times. But when something threw him off guard he’d always try really really hard to keep his cool, though he wasn’t very good at it, to your humor.
“Really...? This is unbelievable...” He murmured. “But it is true that you know things that I don’t...”
He cleared his throat, collecting himself to be the TV celebrity he was. “Say, Morgana. Were you also the one who instructed them on how to change people’s hearts?”
Morgana saw no need to stay in hiding he jumped up on the boxes. “We go in the Metaverse- we call them palaces- to steal the core of their desires: their treasure, those who’s treasure are stolen have a change of heart.
Word jumble that you’ve heard what is it...one two-  this is this 6th time now. You extended your arm out to Morgana, his ears flicked forward as he carefully climbed up your arm and came to a rest on your shoulder.
You scratched under Morgana’s chin, causing him to purr. You (Besides Haru, Futaba and maybe Ann if she tried) could pet Morgana like this, like he was an actual cat. Akechi’s eyes met yours for the third time that day, he looked away quickly.
“...Ah, hahaha...” He chuckled, rubbing his face dejectedly . “There’s certainly no way anyone could figure out such an MO...”
“Anyways!”Ryuji couldn’t take how slow the conversation was moving at, his foot tapping against the tile with vigor.“Back to what you were talkin’ about! Are we in this mess ‘cause of that guy?!”
Akechi turned to Joker, your leader, speaking to the group.
You only half-focused on that , you kept running the calculations in your head, making sure what you were assuming was right. Morgana noticed, hissing(literally).
“Hey, are you listening, what he said was important.”
“Yeah.” You mumbled back, ruffling his fur. He yelped, along with Ryuji and Ann both freaking out over blackmail and the threat with being arrested.
Akira sighed, removing his glasses to rub the grime from the lenses. “You’re asking a lot.”
Akechi frowned in return. “I see...I don’t think it’s a bad deal though....well.” he smiled, one that seemed to spring naturally from his mouth. “Considering this is you we're talking about. I believe you’ll come to a favorable reply.
The smile was short lived, it was quickly replaced with 100% pure synthetic Akechi smile in a short second. “I’m glad we could talk. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to spend such a meaningful time like this.”
His words were meant to be ones of praise, but to you they just felt like slaps to the face. As if he was implying his time with you had been-
Meaningless.
‘This line of thought meaningless’ you thought.
“We should be getting back.” Akechi pointed out, observing his phone. He spoke to Makoto, brows furrowing in regret. “About that...I’m sorry, would it be acceptable if we ended the panel here...?”
Then he broke into a smile fitting for a cat like Morgana. “The reason why you called for me in the first place was because you wanted Intel, correct?”  He seemed passive-aggressive towards Makoto and from the look he gave him back, you assumed this would be another ongoing thing, like Ryuji and Morgana, great.
Another tally for Akechi, he’s winning against the Phantom Thieves 1000-1.
“Ill deal with it somehow.” She finally said, seeming relieved to just be done with the situation. She held her hands, when you looked down you noticed- they were shaking.
Makoto Nijima was just as scared as everyone else.
Akechi walked past the group, not bothering to formally conclude things, or maybe he just didn’t know how to.
He stopped to whisper in your ear on the way out, “I look forward to your answer.”
Morgana’s fur bristled, you locked eyes with Akechi, hoping to get some reason or clue from his eyes, anything that might change your mind-
Nothing, absolutely wiped and blank.
He left the room.
Ryuji stomped his foot in rage. “Dammit! He had complete control over us!” the fear that seeped into his voice was evident. You tried to reach out for him, to help him but he stormed out of the room, slamming the door before you could get the chance. You made a mental note to go run with him to help burn off his adrenaline later.
No one had the strength to say anything else, with heavy hearts, everyone slowly filed out of the office.
You, Akira and Morgana remained in the room.
“Hey, they’re going...” Morgana hoped down from your shoulder, voice somber. The cat sighed, shaking his head.
Akira looked at you, you both knew what each-other was thinking. It was pity. Pity because your so called friend, the one you tried to be friends with, the one Akira knew you had feelings for was-
Morgana’s tail swished, sadly.
“You realized it too, then.”
