i don't think bakugou is that kind of useless dad that can't do anything without you helping him, but i do like the idea of him being a slightly frazzled new-ish dad 🥺

katsuki decides to take the baby with him on his run to the grocery store because you deserve a break, however small, and everything is fine, honestly, like. he can handle it.

but he is standing in line to checkout and there is drool on his shirt and his hair is a little messed up and sticky from being tugged on and he's got his items in one hand and baby on his hip.

your little girl has entered into that phase where she just likes hearing herself make noise, so she's clapping her hands together and just babbling, sometimes too loud, so loud that it attracts attention.

and katsuki is sort of bouncing her a little bit to keep her from getting squirmy, mumbling, "yeah, dah dah dah dah, i know," right to her ears only, giving curt nods to any of the older ladies in the store that coo over the sight of them.

Some photos from the historical hairstyling classes we had a couple of weeks ago with the reenactment and theatre crew! 🥰 this was so fun, we learned a bunch of styles from different decades of the 19th and early 20th century, dressed up, had some pizza and croissants and took photos!

nightmare viewing the murder time three as little toys but more in like a little spoiled kid kinda way. because it would be funny and if you take into the account that he was like 6 before getting corrupted and do some mental loopholes it would be even funnier. like these are his dolls (killer dust and horror) and this is their barbie dreamhouse (his castle). they all have to stay in one room because nightmare needs to keep his toys in a toy box. the toys only ever come out when he wants to play but oh damn it they keep on breaking out!! silly toys,,, and then he locks them into the room again.

nightmare serves them food with plastic tea cups and plastic plates and there is no food. there is no tea. they have to imagine the food because dolls can't literally eat. there are food containers and stuff in the house but its all just a bunch of empty boxes. horror starts tweaking out after he scavenges the kitchen and finds a cereal box and milk carton that have NOTHING in it (why keep empty boxes?????)

they have to go where he wants them to go. nightmare gets to dress them up in whatever he wants because theyre his dolls they can wear anything he wants. it gets incredibly embarrassing when the trio is forced to wear pink pretty dresses and fight like that. or they have to go around the castle doing stupid fucking roleplays and it gets weird because theyre being forced to reenact a bullying scene and nightmare's giving them the death stare if they don't get it right (is this projection. this must be some form of coping mechanism dust theorizes)

and then you know nightmare's not exactly the best toy owner so he loses a few of his dolls here and there. maybe they get destroyed when he was playing a bit too rough with them! (killer dies in battle for like the 29th time) but its okay because he can just go back on down to the store (something new) and buy. wait no. steal another doll and then put it back in his dreamhouse and BOOM he has a full set again!! so sweet so cute. his dolls don't have consciousness what are you talking about theyre begging to be let go?? that's all just your imagination. what do you mean you're asking about the several slowly dying bodies with removed arms or legs in his dungeon. oh that's just where the broken but not yet destroyed toys go dw theyre fine its humane

Menelaus rambles a lot about not only Helen, but also Hermione. About how she used to say Olive like "Olifs". How she lost her first tooth running too fast and running into a low branch while out with Helen. How he'd sometimes wake up to Hermione leaning over him and poking his face to say, "Dad, can we go see the horses?" even though it was barely daylight. How she was much nicer waking Helen and how he thinks Hermione did that on purpose because she found "dad's face funny". How her favorite color was every color.

And Odysseus listens.

And he thinks about how his son only had a few teeth coming in when he left, teething on everything. How he could only say one syllable with his babbles. How his son needed balance to stand but Odysseus was so proud that Telemachus was very good at rolling over. How his son loved pulling at his and Penelope's hair.

"hmm?" mikey hums as you press gentle kisses into his neck. it's kiss after kiss. your lips never tiring of his skin. he's sat up in bed with your blanket rolled up on his lap. it's early morning and the time change has the sun lightening the backdrop of the curtains.

you're already dressed for work. makeup on and coffee made. he said he was going to the gym with baji this morning, otherwise he'd still be sleeping warmly in the bed you two share.

he hasn't opened his eyes from the moment you flicked on the dim lights to the moment you gathered up your belongings for work. not even now, as you press loving kisses into your boyfriend's face, knees on the mattress as you lean over the side to hold mikey's face in your hands. kissing his cheek, kissing his head, kissing his neck.

when you finally pull away about to head off to work, mikey's arm snakes around your waist and pulls you back towards him, locking you in place. eyes still closed, man still half asleep.

"mikey," you giggle, whisper his name in his ear as you press another kiss into the side of his face. "i'm gonna be late."

"mmm," he grunts in response, moving himself closer to you to give you access for more kisses.

you take his face between your two hands, plant a nice steady kiss against his sleepy mouth, and pull away. mikey smiles and finally lets you slip away as his eyes peek open. you're the most beautiful thing he's ever seen. you're just so beautiful. and you're all his. your kisses are his and your hands are his. your smile belongs to him.

"don't forget you're meeting up with baji this morning," you remind him as you grab your purse and keys in the doorway.

"I love you," mikey's sleep heavy voice responds as you open the front door. he rubs his eyes as he admires your form standing in the doorway.

"I love you too baby, see you soon," you smile and lock the door. the sky is pink and rosy as you get into your car. brisk air waking you up as you take another sip from your hot coffee. the earth is alive, the coffee is warm, and mikey loves you so much.
