Many remain missing, though four hostages were recently rescued by the Israeli Defense Force (IDF). Israel Conflict: Humanity Rises, Yael Leads
Tumblr media
  A Shocking Saturday Morning Attack
Massive Rocket Strikes Rock Southern Israel In the wake of the devastating and relentless Hamas attacks on southern Israel during the early hours of Saturday, October 7, the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (The Fellowship) swiftly initiated its humanitarian efforts. These actions come as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) executes Operation Swords of Iron, a retaliatory response in the Gaza Strip. Furthermore, with over 2,000 rockets raining down on Israel and hundreds of casualties reported within the first day of conflict, the attacks, which came by land, air, and sea, have left the nation in shock. The situation is indeed dire. The timing, coinciding with Shabbat (the Sabbath) and the conclusion of the Sukkot holiday, underscores the urgency of the situation that The Fellowship has been actively preparing for, working in close collaboration with local partners due to escalating tensions with Hamas and Hezbollah.
An Unprecedented Crisis Unfolds
Yom Kippur War Memories Resurface Yael Eckstein, President and CEO of The Fellowship, likened the situation to Israel's own 9/11: "We are still trying to grasp the extent of this unprecedented event. It has been a jolt to the entire nation. This harrowing situation brings back painful memories of the Yom Kippur War, which commenced nearly 50 years ago on a date quite similar to this one." "As we monitor the situation, we also have our eyes on the northern front, where Hezbollah engages in artillery and rocket exchanges with Israeli forces. The escalation could magnify the crisis further."
Global Condemnation and Support
Strong Words from The Fellowship Bishop Paul Francis Lanier, U.S. Board Chairman of The Fellowship, condemned the attacks in no uncertain terms: "The Fellowship has watched in horror and outrage at the unconscionable violation of Israeli sovereignty. Hamas has invaded sacred space, claimed innocent lives, terrorized families, and abducted Jewish citizens, all during the shadow of the 50th anniversary of the Yom Kippur War. Just as in the past, Israel will prevail. The Fellowship is on the ground, providing help, healing, and hope."
Aid Reaches the Frontlines
Despite Challenges, The Fellowship Steps Up Despite difficulties in communication with security officials in the south due to ongoing hostilities, The Fellowship is actively supporting evacuees from Gaza, local municipalities, and first responders. Basic necessities such as flak jackets and flashlights are being provided.   Emergency Response Center and Hot Meals An Emergency Response Center has been established in Ramle, Israel, to help families locate missing loved ones, working closely with local authorities. Additionally, The Fellowship distributed hundreds of hot meals to soldiers along the northern border through the Beit Batia soup kitchen and the fortified vehicle, previously donated by the organization.
Anticipating Increased Demand for Aid
Preparedness and Swift Response As the organization anticipates a surge in aid requests from the south in the coming days, they have systems in place for a rapid and efficient response. Their focus will be on aiding evacuees in southern towns, assisting first responders, and providing medical kits and mental health/trauma support, in addition to supporting existing Fellowship programs.   Long-Term Commitment Yael Eckstein added, "Within less than 24 hours, our on-ground team has assessed immediate needs and is already distributing aid. We will expedite aid delivery within a week and identify long-term needs resulting from this war."

Strengthening Israel's Security
Frontline Support in Northern Israel The Fellowship is also at the forefront in northern Israel, moving swiftly to meet security needs. This includes supplying more bomb shelters, ambulances, additional food, and medicine for these shelters. They maintain close communication with Israel's Homefront Command, the Ministry of Welfare, the IDF, the FIDF, and local councils across the region.   Decades of Humanitarian Commitment The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2023, remains the largest provider of humanitarian aid in Israel. In addition, their support extends to various projects and initiatives aimed at bolstering the country's security, civil defense, immigration, and poverty relief efforts. Most importantly, they have contributed to the purchase of fortified vehicles, provided hundreds of first responder medical kits, and fortified medical facilities in conflict-affected areas. Their commitment to Israel's well-being is unparalleled.

The Heart of The Fellowship
Yael Eckstein Leads the Charge Yael Eckstein, as President and CEO of The Fellowship, leads the organization's diverse programs and serves as its international spokesperson. With over a decade of nonprofit experience in multiple roles, Yael's leadership stands as a beacon, particularly as a woman at the helm of one of the world's largest religious charitable organizations. Her podcast, "Nourish Your Biblical Roots," delves into the Jewish roots of the Christian faith. Furthermore, Yael's impact has earned her the 2023 Jerusalem Post's Humanitarian Award. Notably, she is based in Israel with her husband and four children. As Israel faces this grave crisis, The Fellowship stands as a symbol of hope and support for the nation. In these trying times, echoing its mission to bless Israel and the Jewish people in unprecedented times, The Fellowship remains unwavering in its commitment to the nation's well-being.   Sources: THX News & International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. Tumblr media
Isreal-Gaza War 2023: No one knows what will be the final fate of Gaza, but from the condition of Gaza in the fight between Hamas and Israel, it seems that in the coming days, Gaza will either turn into a desert or ruins. It will happen. The current condition of Gaza is becoming like ruins. There are dead bodies everywhere. Some are seen running away while others are seen searching for shelter. The devastation caused by bomb blasts and rocket attacks is a scene of devastation.

Scooter Braun, the renowned music manager behind megastars like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, is determined to bring awareness to a tragic event through his latest endeavor. The Nova Music Festival Exhibition, titled "Nova: Oct. 7, 6:29 am — The Moment Music Stood Still," is a poignant tribute to the 360 young Israelis who were murdered by Hamas during the festival. Despite facing violent protests, Braun remains undeterred, aiming to take the exhibition to Los Angeles next. Scooter Braun on His Nova Music The Inspiration Behind the Exhibition A Visit to Israel Braun's journey to creating this exhibition began with a deeply personal visit to Israel. In December, he visited the sites affected by the massacre, including the kibbutz and the Nova festival grounds. His grandparents, who survived the Holocaust, and his experience with the Manchester Arena bombing during Ariana Grande's concert, gave him a profound understanding of such atrocities. Seeing the aftermath firsthand in Israel, including still-visible bloodstains, Braun felt compelled to share these harrowing stories with the world. Documenting the Human Experience Braun documented his experiences in Israel, sharing stories on Instagram to highlight the humanity of the victims. He visited a healing camp for survivors of the Nova festival, where he saw young adults aged 19 to 24 singing, dancing, and supporting each other. Despite their traumatic experiences, they remained hopeful and focused on peace. This stark contrast to the swift global response to the Manchester attack, where the world rallied for the victims, fueled Braun’s determination to amplify the voices of the Nova survivors. The Nova Music Festival Exhibition Bringing the Exhibit to the U.S. Determined to bring these stories to a broader audience, Braun collaborated with Israeli organizers Yagil Simony, Ofir Amir, and Omri Sari to bring the exhibition to the U.S. The exhibit has already hosted 100,000 visitors, despite facing protests from pro-Palestinian demonstrators. These protests, which included chants of antisemitic slogans and displays of Hamas flags, were condemned by prominent figures like New York City Mayor Eric Adams and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. What Visitors Can Expect The Nova Music Festival Exhibition, located in New York City's financial district, offers a visceral and emotional experience. Visitors are taken through the events of October 7th, 2023, with detailed accounts of the massacre. Survivors, like Tomer, who is featured in the exhibit, share their personal stories daily, providing a powerful testament to the horrors they endured. Tomer, a survivor himself, engages with visitors to foster understanding and empathy. The Impact of the Exhibit Braun believes that music is a universal language and that it should remain a safe space for everyone. The exhibit transcends political boundaries, focusing on the human tragedy that occurred. By showcasing these stories, Braun hopes to bridge gaps and foster a deeper understanding of the events. The exhibit serves as a memorial to the victims and a reminder of the importance of preserving peace and humanity in the face of such brutality. The Future of the Exhibition Expansion Plans The success of the exhibition in New York has inspired Braun to expand its reach. He plans to take the exhibition to Los Angeles next, ensuring that more people have the opportunity to witness and reflect on the Nova massacre. Braun’s commitment to this project underscores his belief in the power of storytelling and its ability to create change. A Call for Global Awareness Braun’s dedication to the Nova Music Festival Exhibition is not just about remembering the past but also about educating the present and future generations. He hopes that by sharing these stories, he can prevent such tragedies from occurring again. His message is clear: the world must not remain silent in the face of such evil, and we must all work together to ensure that music and humanity prevail.

Even if the people, exhausted by hunger, become attackers, what will anyone do? This is the biggest tragedy of man. When his stomach is full, any person talks big things, but when his stomach is empty, all his cleverness is lost. He can be violent as well as helpless.
