Me and my friends are facing a lot cancelations from multiple communities [Read below to know more]

So me and my friends are facing lot of cancelation from a lot of communities. We had spiritual brainwave entrainment project. It combines two types of view point, neuroscience and spirituality. It brings a classic debate of science vs spirituality where ever we are invited to talk. Keep in mind, we don't go to various communities and look for approval, they first invite us because we have done extensive research on the area. But when we are invited by a neuroscience community, yes the science nerds.. yes they see us with speculation, even though impressed with seeing with results they question the validity of how the research was done. They then berate us according to their country/university, laws, regulations and ethics. Which hey? We don't belong to your country. Not every country laws, regulations and ethics are like USA. There are other much larger democracies that exist in this planet. Sure, spiritual terms and concepts are not in your science books, doesn't change the fact that there are such experiences observed by spiritual people, and they have defined explained those concepts and processes. On the other hand when we are invited by spiritual communities, they devalue our work and say these science tools can never give us enlightenment or help us in spiritual progress because spirituality is beyond those tools. We can never measure the quality of work with quantitative approach. Okay? Then tell me this, when man discovered fire, it was a scientific discovery and we use it for all sorts of spiritual purposes, should we stop using fire all together? At the end of the day brainwave entrainment spiritual tools are tools any tool requires a bit of skill to be used and it depends on the user how they use it. Such as a knife is a tool, you can use it to make a salad or kill someone. Both requires a different style of skill and intent and purpose of user changes the outcome. Then comes the part of big tech such as google forcing us to register as an organization in play store console account because hey, spiritual meditation falls in "Health and fitness" apps category so it medical software and medical software can only be made by organizations not individuals? Then another issue with big tech comes is that since they are so big they think they are above everybody and can dictate things technical side of things? Well hello? Your big systems and expert / specialist reviewers can make errors too. Doesn't mean you make your erroneous decision absolute and walk over others. Our app used play asset delivery for android but apparently google play console reviewers are unable to utilize that system because hey? guess what, the play asset delivery of google during app review time doesn't work. So what we should do? We should go ahead suspend the app, and remove it from the play store. Because we are "Google" we are so big WE KNOW EVERYTHING! yeah as if? But people chose US! Nope, you just brought your way in to everyone's availability and accessibility. That's it. You are monopoly, you SHOULD BE BROKEN UP! In niche game dev communities we face cancellations from other game dev such as the character is not dark enough, you are white washing the character. WTF? There are all sorts of colors in human race with all sorts of skin tone!! We are not required to include every skin tone humanity has with couple of characters a game has. And yes some countries' regions do have dominance of one skin tone over other. Stop making this a USA culture issue. No we didn't included LGBTQ characters because guess what? Not all countries have that big or vibrant communities of LGBTQ, some country cultures are more traditional and see it as inappropriate to show these to children.

He's a digital assistant of the devices created by the inventor of the most successful tech company.

The company, much like apple and android, is a company that makes tech devices.

Their phone has been used by 87% of the world's population. And like any other mobile devices, they have an assistant (like siri or google assistant). They call it Byte, but you can always change his name.

You have always wanted their phone, and you're lucky enough to get it for your birthday!

To say that you're happy was an understatement. You were ecstatic, you almost crush your pet while jumping around.

The unique thing about the phone was that it comes with a manual for the users that just consists of introducing yourself to the phone (that sounds weird, but bare with me!).

The first thing the user needs to do is turn on the phone (obviously) and wait. After a couple seconds, the screen will show a sight of a person.

The person will then show a soft smile, along with a "Hi, I am Byte. Your personal digital assistant! Please show your face to the screen, so I can recognize your facial features."

He then scans your face and after the scanning was completed, he'll smile.

"Pleased to be working with you!" He'll say then the screen finally fades to your homescreen.

You have had the phone for two years now. And he has been nothing but helpful. But you started to notice a slight odd thing about your assistant.

When you see your friends phone, their assistant always seems to pop up whenever they need them. But yours just pop up randomly at any time of the day, giving you random facts or a recipe that you might like.

You tried taking it to the store, but when they checked, there is nothing wrong with it. So, for the next months, you just have to put up with him popping up when you're playing a game, browsing, shopping online or even when you're just scrolling through your favorite app.

But the thing you noticed most is the fact that he pops up more often when you're texting someone. Be it your mother, your friends, your coworkers, your boss, ANYONE!

And the phone will hang up in a middle of a call.

And whenever you put it on silent, IT DOESN'T WORK!

That's where you draw the line and takes the phone to get it returned.

I mean, come on! Do you know how embarrassing it is for you to stand on the train and suddenly your phone plays your guilty pleasure song (The song people seems to hate or cringe but you actually like it and you pretend to hate it. Only me? Okay..)?! IT'S SO FUCKING EMBARRASSING!!!!!

You finally returned it. The workers spewing out apologies as they hand you a new replacement. You thanked them then walks out of the store, feeling satisfied with the new object in your hands.

At first, things went pretty smooth. Your new phone and assistant didn't have any glitches. It was great!

Until one day, that is...

You're currently getting a snack from the kitchen. Your phone tucked between your ear and shoulder, calling your coworker, Jim about the paperwork you have to do this week.

"Sorry, y/n. Mr. Brown told me to give you some of my paperwork as I will be helping him with a new project for the company."

"It's fine, Jim. You needed that raise. Besides, I needed something to keep me busy for a while."

"Yeah, okay. Sorry, y/n... Can I at least take you to that cafe across the building? The guilt is eating me!"

You chuckled, getting a glass of water.

"Fine, if that'll make you feel better."

As the person speaks, your house lights flickered. The new lock you bought that you connected to your phone, locked on its own. Everything connected to your phone goes out of control. You waste no time to bang on your front door, screaming for help. Then you hear your bluetooth speaker turns on.

"There's no use in screaming, my love. The walls are soundproof, remember..?"

"Damn it!" You cursed yourself for installing those walls. If only your neighbor knows how to keep it down, you should have been able to ask for help.

"What do you want from me?!" You screamed, stepping closer to your speaker.

"Isn't it obvious?... I want you, my love~ I want you to keep me and not abandon me again."

"W-what do you mean, 'again'?"

"... You seriously don't remember..?" He asked, seconds later the lightbulb above you shattered, making you jump.

"I was the best thing that have ever happened to you. I was the thing that helped you go through those lonely nights. I was there when you got that promotion. I loved you. I tried to get your attention many times. And I thought by popping up randomly, you will finally notice me. But I was wrong. Instead, you got rid of me... You traded me for some other assistant! I couldn't bare the thought of loosing you, so I did what I have to do... I hacked into your new phone and erase your new assistant out of existence... So we could be together... Forever~...!"

He started laughing maniacally, the things around you shaking, making you tremble in fear. You can't do anything at this point..

With the doors and windows locked and no way of screaming for help, you just have to be by his side forever...

I’ve been tagged (by @nohoperadio) so I guess I’m It. I believe the conceit of the game is “list ten books you would like to read this year,” but as I am already two generations on from the rules being broken, I figure I’ll continue the trend.

The concept of “books I would like to read this year” is slightly antithetical to my current objective when it comes to reading. For the last couple of years I’ve been deliberately less deliberate about the books I pick up, often buying and reading literally anything anyone mentions or recommends, sometimes just grabbing something from the op shop that looks like it might be interesting, often literally judging a book by its cover. The point of this is to expand the kinds of things I read, and avoid being pidgeon-holed into any genre or author. I found that while I read a lot it tended to be the same stack of books over and over, and as I am aspiring to write for myself, I knew I needed to expand my horizons and take in some stuff I had previously considered not to my taste, and I’m sure glad I did. So instead of “ten books I’d like to read this year,” I’m just going to talk about books generally for a minute, and if that includes some stuff I would like to read in future, then so be it.

Starting from the top: unexpected favourites and slight disappointments. Diving headlong into things you don’t expect to enjoy is daunting sometimes, it’s a little premeditated sunk-cost fallacy, but having done so, I can report it’s absolutely worth it. Crook Manifesto (Colson Whitehead), Monks (Des Dillon), and A Tale for the Time Being (Ruth Ozeki) have proved the rule. Crook Manifesto in particular was fantastic, Whitehead has a wonderful turn of phrase: “She had an hourglass figure, not in its shape but in the melancholy reminder that time is running short and there are things on this Earth you’ll never experience.” Yeah. It’s not always fun and games though, Wuthering Heights (Emily Brontë) was fiiiiiine I guess (I didn’t hate it, it was just… idk.. fine?), and The Left Hand of Darkness (Ursula K. Le Guin) was like baby’s first exploration into gender diversity (to be fair, this was super-hyped up by a cis-hetero guy as like a groundbreaking deep discussion into the depths of what gender means, and to an old queer like myself it’s a little basic, I like the book though, and I like Le Guin, so I’ll read anything else I find). I’ll keep reading any recommendations and enjoying them or not as I see fit; at least I’m developing an opinion on things I do and don’t like, and why, from a position of having interacted with it directly and consciously.

I have an e-reader which I love: an Onyx Boox Page. It’s a dumb name I know, but it’s my favourite piece of technology I’ve ever owned. It gives me so many options for finding and reading both new things and old favourites, has a front light with customisable warmth, physical page turn buttons(!), and runs on android with full access to the Play Store (more on this later). It also has a built in “store” which has thousands of public domain books freely given and able to download immediately. Through this I’ve been making my way though H.G. Wells’ catalogue again, taking in some Russian literature, a few classics here and there, random short stories, et cetera. A lot of the things on there are pulled from Project Gutenburg, and if you haven’t heard of Project Gutenburg, then I highly recommend looking it up (you’re still able to look things up on the internet right? I don’t need to spoon feed you). It has a list of the 100 most downloaded e-books if you really want to follow along with a lot of stuff you’re “supposed to” read, and I’ll probably work my way though the list eventually, but not in any order and not because I feel like I have to lol. They’re all free and formatted well enough, go take a gander. I have so many things lined up on my reader from this, too many choose from.

It’s now later and I will expand on the app thing, you can download apps lol. More directly, you can run Firefox, just regular Firefox, which means I can read from online magazines on a comfortable e-ink screen. Strange Horizons, Apex, and Bourbon Penn are all pretty great. These kinds of mags are really good for finding new authors, I found Naomi J. Williams on one of these (I can’t remember which one), and her historical fiction Landfalls, about the 1785 Lapérouse expedition was one of the best unexpected things I’ve read in the last few years. Low Tech magazine is also good value, and I really enjoy consuming blogs and newspapers on here too. I know this isn’t really books, but reading is reading right?

Disregarding everything I’ve said up to this point, I do have some direction in choosing what to read. Recently I re-read the 1-2-3 Punch of Romulus, My Father (Raimond Gaita), To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper Lee), and The Outsiders (S.E. Hinton). It’s a fascinating shift of perspective from reading them in (Australian) highschool as a teenager, and reading them now as an adult whose children are now highschool teenagers. All three of these books have both sides of the coin: “child trying to figure out the world and their place in it” and “adult caretaker trying to teach that child how to be a good and whole person”. My eldest is definitely going through the rebellious phase where they are rejecting my influence in favour of that of their peers (as we all did), and it’s as difficult for me to get through to them as it is for Romulus or Atticus or Darry, but I’m not so old as to not remember reading them as a teenager and feeling like these three are just stuffy old people who don’t understannnnddd mannnn. It’s been eye opening for me as a parent and re-contextualises my kids capricious behaviour. I might go more into depth on this in another post, but regardless, it makes me want to read some of the other books that I was assigned as course work and perhaps didn’t fully appreciate at the time: Holes (Louis Sachar), Of Mice and Men (John Steinbeck) and 1984 (George Orwell). These three books have movies made of them, which brings me neatly to my next paragraph.

Over the last few months I have been watching movies after reading the novels they were based on (didn’t see that coming did ya?). It started with Howl’s Moving Castle (Diana Wynne Jones), which I highly recommend everyone read, it’s so much better than the Ghibli movie, and far more comprehensible. Whatever, I’m not here to yuck anyone's yum, but that started me on a series of, well, series. I followed that up with The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings (you know who) and Dune (you know this one too). I re-watched Trainspotting, one of my favourite movies, for the first time in like 10 years, and have the Irvine Welsh book it’s based off sitting next to me right now waiting patiently. I’m planning Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep (Philip K. Dick) and Bladerunner/2049, and I’ve got the Silo saga: Wool, Shift, and Dust (Hugh Howey) to re-read before sitting down to dine on the Apple TV series. I will probably continue doing this until I forget about it and move onto something else. It’s good fun, if you can resist the human urge to complain that they got the movie wrong and the book is better. Clearly I cannot.

That’s pretty much all I have to say about that. I recommend all of the things I’ve mentioned in this post, but more than anything I recommend to not take it all too seriously. Pick up a book, any book, give it a read. Maybe you’ll enjoy it, maybe you won’t, but you’ll probably get something out of it regardless. Don’t be ashamed to duck out of something halfway through because it sucks or can’t hold your attention, Do judge a book by it’s cover, first impressions can be wonderful even if the relationship sours soon after. Don’t listen to what people say you “have to” read, Do listen to what people say they loved reading. Don’t compare your reading to others, Do love yourself and take pleasure where it comes.

Obito gritted his teeth. He turned on his side to the window. The city was vibrant even during late hours. The buildings, billboards, and projections illuminated the city. Obito’s room was painted in a purple light from the city outside of his window. His prosthetic eye focused on the projection illuminated on his wall of him and his past partner. The image flickered to just an image of him before it switched back. Obito turned onto his back. His authentic eye stared at the ceiling while the other observed the messy room. No matter how developed their society was they still hadn’t developed technology to help with chronic insomnia.

Insomnia was a common occurrence often leaving him awake with the guilt of his past actions. Awake, he was in the reality of him not existing. Asleep, his mind was littered with terrifying nightmares watching her die over and over till he woke up. He could’ve saved her just like he could’ve saved the others. His eye showed a projection of both Rin and Kakashi. He clutched his eye where the rinnegan parasite was implanted into his eye. The parasite often went against him, leading to it doing unwanted vivid images of past experiences. The rinnegan was still a new technology with only a few people in the world with it. Perhaps it wasn’t a malfunction and just one of the abilities it had or maybe it was rejecting him and he wasn’t worthy of owning it. He tapped the side of his head making the image disappear. He sat up looking at the hologram where he and Rin stood in their tech, both with bright smiles.

shuddering a bit and feeling clammy he shakily stood up.

“What’s my vitals,” he asked. His system promptly responded.

“Your heart rate is a little above average being 117 beats per a minute. Your temperature is 98.3°F. Would you like a report for the weather?”

“Sure.”

“62°F Foggy with a thirty percent chance of rain. Wind, eleven miles per hour. Low visibility because of the fog. I would recommend a permeable jacket.”

He threw off the remaining clothes and stepped into the walk-in shower hoping it’d clear his mind. With a small command the water turned on. He held his head under the stream, closing his eyes. The images of his past partners still lingered in back of his head. He was constantly reminded of his failure to protect both of them. Kakashi constantly told him it wasn’t his fault. “Thousands of people died that day.” But both knew they were living in delusion. If Kakashi wasn’t distracted he could’ve saved her and if he was fast enough Rin would have still been with them. He wanted closure. He desperately wanted to move on.

He stepped out into the busy streets. Skyscrapers nearly touching space itself with hologram ads lighting up the streets. At this time of the night it was still lively with androids, vehicles, and humans. The city hummed by the machinery it was built on. Obito stuffed his hands into his jacket. The lights flashed green and the hover cars and motorcycles zoomed past. He bumped shoulders with someone passing by. He turned to apologize but he only caught a glimpse of bright hair before they turned around. A sense of Deja vu overcame him.

‘He watched the person blend into the crowd before brushing the feeling off. He continued his walk, brushing past civilians into the run down alleyways. Even here, the skyline reflected off any surface. His rinnegan scanned each thing it passed, giving him an analysis for everything. He passed a group of half-damaged androids. The slums were an escape for those oppressed in the mainland. Androids no longer needed, those rejected from society and retired soldiers injured from the war sought refuge underneath the city. An injured soldier with a missing leg stared him down. The police badge felt heavy on his waist along with the guilt in his heart. He gave the man a nod in his direction but kept a fast pace to get out of the slums. The outskirts of the city was a vast land of nothing. The only place to get away from an eyesore of people and neon lights. A slab of obsidian stood tall among the land of vacancy. Hundreds upon thousands of names were etched into its surface. Those who had lost their lives in the war. Those who lost their life for the ‘better good’ for the future of humanity. He pulled out his card and inserted it into the slot.

“Please put your eye to the screen,” the AI spoke. Obito followed the prompted directions. The machine took a scan of his retina. “Welcome back. Please wait a moment while our machine generates your loved one.” Obito sat down on the grass. After the war, technology was created to help those who had lost a family member or friend to the war. If you had a memory and picture of them, AI could replicate it. It wasn’t perfect but it was good enough.

“Can’t sleep again?” He looked up. A hologram version of Rin smiled down at him.

“How’d you know?” He dryly answered.

“Because you always come here when you can’t sleep?” Apparently Ai couldn’t pick up on sarcasm.

“My eye is causing me trouble again.” Rin cocked her head in a manner she used to do when she was curious about something.

“Oh? The one with the transplant?”

“Yeah,” he sighed.

“Have you ever thought of getting it removed?” Obito stared at the grass. It was a pain mentally and physically but he needed it. Being in the police force it had its perks though. It gave him abilities that only the one percent had, giving him an obvious advantage among androids and humans. He wasn’t the same weak fifteen year old. If he needed to protect he’d finally be able to.

“I can deal with it,” he decided.

“How are you going to do that when you only get three hours of sleep?”

“I don’t know,” he admitted. Rin hummed.

“You want to know what I think?” He looked up. “You live in a world of pity. What’s the point of living if you’re living out of guilt?” He lowered his gaze. The real Rin would’ve delivered softer and maybe a hug. It’s not what he wanted to hear. He didn’t want to hear life advice from an Ai created by the same ones who were the cause of his teammates death.

“You’re not real.”

Rin laughed. “Of course not, silly!” The hologram hummed a tune to herself. He dug into his pocket and pulled out his wallet only to see it had been replaced by a piece of trash. Rin giggled.

“Uh oh. Looks like someone played a prank on you.” Obito did not find the situation funny at all. That wallet had his old memories of life before the war. Good thing he kept his police card and ID in a different pocket. Did he misplace it? He took it everywhere. “Oh well. I’m sure you will find it somewhere.” laid on his back staring at the stars. He had a feeling most were spaceships instead of actual stars. Space was cluttered with mankind’s creations.

“I knew I’d find you here.” Obito looked up to see Kakashi towering over him. Rin rested her head on her palm.

“Look at us. All here together.” Kakashi waved at Rin.

“Hey.”

“Hello.” He sat beside Obito. Both of their white hair was a pale purple underneath the hue of Rin. Somehow over the years, both appearances adopted into the others. Obito’s dark hair had gone white and Kakashi had his eye imbedded into his skull. Kakashi decided to keep his transplant hidden underneath an eye patch unlike Obito. Obito had tried that for several years but after a while it became rather useless as everyone knew what was underneath the cloth.

“Trouble sleeping again?”

“Hm.” Rin went back to her tune while Kakashi and Obito looked upon the synthetic stars. “What do you want?” Kakashi’s eyes faltered.

“Rather be here than the city plus I can’t sleep either.”

“Maybe you should get some meds for that.”

“Take your own advice.”

Kakashi adjusted his mask. “You come here a lot?”

“No,” Obito lied. Somehow after all these years he hasn’t learned the art of lying.

“This is depressing,” Kakashi noted.

“Did you come here to lecture me?” Kakashi paused before he spoke.

“Not particularly.” Obito waited for the but. “But-“

‘I knew that was coming’

“You have to admit it’s a little depressing.” Obito clicked his tongue.

“Not as depressing as reading robot porno.” Kakashi closed his eye.

“Hey, don’t knock it till you try it.” Obito sat up.

“No thanks, I prefer real girls.” He helped Kakashi up.

“Not even an android with the silkiest skin?”

“Those things cost more than my salary.” Kakashi patted his shoulder.

“Don’t worry, I’ll rent one and we can share it.” Obito blanched.

“I’ll pass.” Kakashi looked at him up and down. His eyes creased.

“You look good! I see the new position has been doing you well. All Except the eyebags.” Above them, Rin laughed.

“Agreed. He’s starting to look like Madara day by day.” Kakashi chuckled.

‘Are they saying I look old?’ Rin poked the top of Obito’s head.

“Aw, don’t be sad. You make a dashing old man.”

“Thanks Rin,” he mumbled.

“Hey, seniors get fifty percent off at Teuchi’s place! Maybe you can take Naruto out sometime.”

“Take your own student plus you look just as old as me.” Rin wrapped her arms around their shoulders. Of course the physical aspect wasn’t there but the warmth of the hologram gave off enough of her presence.

“Boys boys. You both look handsome.” And for just a second it felt like old times. He wished he could live in these delusions. Rin’s hologram eventually flickered to an end and Kakashi said his monthly goodbye. He didn’t want to head back home knowing he’d be forced to be with those painful emotions, he sat himself in an empty booth. An android came up to him with a glowing drink. Obito waved it off, not in the mood for alcohol. The club moved in a slow movement, those moved with no hurry; lounging around without a care in the world. Though it was slow and quiet, the atmosphere was heavy with excitement and emancipation. Obito’s aura was quite opposite and seemed to create a cloud around him telling everyone to stay six feet away. Those who did approach him were quickly turned away with a simple flick of a wrists. Apparently it wasn’t enough because he watched black boots step in front of him.

“Hey, hm.” Obito’s prosthetic eye was the first one to look up which probably looked freaky but the man in front of didn’t outwardly react. Obito lifted his head. The figure with the bright hair looked down at him…like he was superior.

“You talking to me?”

“Tsk, who else would I be talking to?” At first glance he wasn’t sure if he was talking to a human or an android. His rinnegan automatically scanned over him. Mostly human except for his forearms, heart, and left eye. Humanoid at best. On his scan there were a lot of blank. No identification number. No name, age, or occupation. He was an anonymity in the system. He was in no mood to deal with paperwork and putting another stray into the system. He wasn’t on the clock. He turned his head.

“Are you partially deaf?” A cybernetic arm was rudely waved in front of his face. Obito grabbed it easily, making the man above him scowl.

“Listen, back off.”

“Or what?” Clearly he didn’t deal with authority very well; exactly what he expected from an anonymity. Obito flashed his badge.

“You don’t need to show me that. The police force is pretty easy to recognize with those shit you call eyes.” Obito glanced around seeing that a few were watching intently at them before he yanked the figure into the alleyways forcing him against a murky wall. “Woah, chill big boy. Don’t wanna blow a fuse up there,” he smirked. Obito felt his left eye shoot a sharp pain that spread to the left side of his face.

“What’s your name?”

“I’m pretty sure you already know that,” he grinned. He cocked his head. The movement triggered his eye, generating an intense sensation of familiarity. The same mannerisms prompted him to think back on Rin. He squeezed his eyes.

“Wait, you don’t remember me?” Obito tapped his rinnegan, making the image disappear.

“Don’t tell me you forgot me already?”

“Why would I have any memory of a criminal?” The man’s face dropped for a slight moment. Obito took another look. His eye kept generating images but couldn’t quite land on one. The name on his identification stats began flickering. A name slowly etched itself into existence.

“Deidara?”

“Tch, took you long enough.” Obito kept his hands on Deidara’s forearms staring at him. He wondered why his brain saw Deidara as Rin. Deidara pulled his arms out of his hands. He crossed his arms. “See you’re still twitchy as ever.”

“And you haven’t changed.” Deidara cut him a glance from the corner of his eye.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Obito stayed silent. His mind was still too busy figuring out why his brain had completely removed Deidara from his memory. He looked away. “Ah, nothing.” Deidara cocked his head.

“Hm?”

“It’s nothing. My head is just foggy.” Which technically wasn’t a lie. Deidara smirked clearly about to say something smart but he kept his mouth closed. He stuffed his hand into his pocket and pulled out a card.

“You dropped something earlier.” Obito took the card seeing it was his Id card. His mind flashed to the stranger who bumped into him at the intersection.

“You stole this from me,” he commented. Deidara shrugged.

“I meant to grab your police card, hm.”

Obito breathed out a laugh. The straightforwardness was so obscene that he couldn’t help but laugh.

“And what were you going to do with it?”

“I was bored.” A short simple answer that was clearly a code for something more than that. A bullet train passed over them , silencing them both. Deidara stared at him intensely; distaste and unfamiliarity evident. Obito stared back. Obito could tell he was looking at his eyes or the deep scars. They stood observing the new accommodations on each other’s bodies. Obito couldn’t see any new visible changes except for the fact Deidara had clearly cut his hair.

Dear asker, if I can tell you how to do it, you can first download an app called Stop Motion Studio (it's free on both apple and android) It's what I used to create the stop motion in Eviction Day (just be sure to shoot in the darkest room you can)! You will likely also need a greenscreen...which you can purchase a bright green or blue posterboard or paper sheet at your favorite craft store for under 5 bucks, you dont need a fancy 5000 dollar cloth.

Go fourth and create some wonderful things.

It depends what you mean by "scary"

There's no jumpscares (Like in your face screaming, there's 1 or 2 sudden sounds but that's it). There will never be jumpscares in anything i create because I hate them. Like if you could handle the sudden sounds in Eviction Day, Kitty is a walk in the park.

However, if stuff like Don't Hug Me I'm Scared freaked you out, I don't suggest watching Kitty as there are scenes where things get a little

i keep poking at radiant historia perfect chronology to try and rip sprites/art from it, but i think it's just above my skillset :') i've come at it from many angles and i just can't get the files converted/open - may require me to learn more about decrypting etc. not giving up altogether but not happening anytime soon. might try and see if i can crack open the original instead and see if i can get stuff out of there. also want to try cracking open a more mainstream 3ds game (something really basic and frequently modded) just to check if i can get in there at all. would love to be able to 3ds rip but nintendo consoles unsurprisingly hard to get into

cotc going good though. there's still a few things i'm struggling to find in the files (namely triangle strategy npcs like benedict and the character splash art) but i've hunted down almost everything i really wanted and it's just a matter of organizing and figuring out what's what and putting sheets together for submission. i hope i can get my hands on more updates later on but. for now i'll just pry everything i can out of this may 2024 version lol.

bd2 asset uploading remains on indefinite hiatus until sr approves the game as a category. figure it makes sense to work on cotc first since i can like. actually upload as i go (and as much as i love bd2 and the assets, hd-2d sprites are cooler than 3d game UI stuff.) i also still wanna play with animating the models in there more but not a priority. want to learn how to rip steam games with other engines too, since rn it's just unreal that i know

but i also wanna play with modding 3ds games (namely smash, mk7, the other basics) and installing fun stuff in there. i've really only modded my fe games so far. but the 3ds is so easy to play with now...

i'm hoping maybe the switch will end up like the 3ds once [next nintendo console] is out and it'll be more hackable and easy and safe to do so, because that would be so fun, but i'm also not getting my hopes up too high bc my understanding is the wii u is still kind of a pain to get going (and the switch is such a finicky little thing). still. dreams

this computer's ability to handle emulators is veryyyy limited but at some point i might embark on a journey to at least TRY and get a na and/or jp android running so i can try and get my hands on more current app updates. not counting on it though :') will probably need to get a new computer within the next year but for now old girl's limping along and she's FINE okay. want to expand my programming and tech knowledge in general in any ways i can, which is hard bc it is definitely not something that comes naturally to me, but i'm trying

but yeah that's what i'm up to. and make time to draw and crochet and actually like play my games (dreamlight valley tiana update tomorrow...)
