While is stated that it appears a living creature and a human form, this artist choose to not take any animal or human form. Angels are ethereal beings in my conception.

Hi I saw your post about Jewish and to answer your question, I think the way you have it is totally fine, but I wanted to give you some more information so that you can make a more informed decision I guess. A kippah is simply something that fulfills a Jewish law to cover ones head (specifically when praying but some Jews wear them all the time for other reasons I won't get into) so technically a halo would technically not work as a kippah because of the hole in the middle and also the floating/not technically being on the head. So I think the halo works really well as a nod to a kippah, but trying to claim it is a kippah (which you didn't so) wouldn't work. If you did want it to be a real kippah here's an idea (though I'm not sure how it would work artistically): the work halo comes from the Hebrew word "hila” which can be translated as an emanation of light, so if you want to have like a light kippah that sort of projects a halo (like a circle with a ring around it) I think that would also be cool because halos are also often depicted this way. Also I looked at some of the replies to see what others are saying and one of them was from someone trying to be woke telling you that you are depicting a Jewish character as a Christian angel which is not true. While it is true that the most common/famous Jewish angels are not depicted this way, in Judaism there are 10 different ranks/types of angels. I believe (though I can't say for sure about all of them) Cherubs, Hashmallim, Bene Elohim, Ishim, and Malakim are often depicted in a humanoid form (though some like the Malakim can have many different forms of shapes). Sorry for the info dump, but I hope this helps and to reiterate I think the way you have it is fine.

so to start these are all rkgk because i was committed to using one maker for all of these (this one) so it lacked some things i wanted to do but these are all mostly on point for what i intended

brainstorming rambling:

i've been struggling to understand what direction i want to take my game in. lately my visions have been far and few (perhaps due to different meds, idk) but last night i experienced an intense vision. it was not pleasant, but it is what i *needed* to see. so i have decided to build my hypersigil into my game project.

at the very beginning, my game was going to be a yume nikki fangame, but that is extremely limiting and leaves me directionless. the new direction of my game will be the implementation of this magical circuit. the goal will be for the player to help Eira (the character) in the act of casting a spell.

i've been reworking certain graphics & etc because i want to move away from the "yume nikki" look, but i have my goal in place now.

Eira will keep her basic design traits & everything, but i am going to go all-in on the alchemical & astronomical symbology on her (purple) hood. these changes will be too small to incorporate in a game sprite, which is intentional as i plan on keeping her basic design as the main representation.

as for this "new" hypersigil, there will be 10 aspects i will invoke, this will likely be:

red - the shared experience of despair/agony/pain/hunger, the extreme intensity of emotions and how much damage this can have on the human soul. but this pain is helpful, it is a base feeling that connects all life, we are united in our suffering and thus band together.

fire salamander - deeply personal reasons, that is all i am willing to say now.

blue/sapphire - reality as it is, the placidity of the world around us. the world as it is, as it will be, as it was, as it never will be....all at the same time. think of a lifeless ocean teeming with life.

kelpie - i don't have much to add for invoking the kelpie. this kelpie will be represented as a seafoam colored horse with a horn, covered in shells, sea life, & etc. kelpies aren't necessarily associated with these concepts, but i am the one crafting this spell and i have decided.

silver (i'm not sure on the color yet, i've been struggling to visualize it exactly, but i am on the right track) - the celestial sophia, the accumulation of knowledge itself. knowledge is not action, knowledge is not belief, knowledge is not drive nor reason nor purpose, knowledge simply is.

the owl - in some legends, the keeper of knowledge. in some stories, they're protectors. in others, they are creatures of death. this owl i invoke will be inspired by the spirit of my aunt and how she painted owls

white- stillness, perfection, the pleroma, keter, the monad, the unholy divine. the most despicable crime in all existence. i have seen the face of the god machine and is it is not to be glorified. one can use the same structure of the god machine to build their own gods, a path where one begins to find true power.

the seraph/hashmallim - idk quite how i want to represent it, whether i go with 6 wings or 12 (or another number (i might have to do some more studying on gematria)). it will still be animal-like in appearance. perhaps phoenix-like.

the eyes on the hood remain closed.

ALTERNATIVELY: the antelope. i really like the idea and drafts, so i am leaning more towards scrapping the angel designs and doing an full antelope design

purple - binah. the innate magical workings of the universe. it is not "magic" as it is the machinations of altering the world to one's own whim, but from a human point of view, that is magic.

rabbit - rabbits are not traditionally associated with this, but the concept revealed itself to me as a purple rabbit. this is why Eira takes on the purple bunny hood.

yellow - the shared human experience of passion/drive. godforms and egregores thrive off this energy as yellow is the living aspect of the human imagination. fiction affects reality which affects fiction, fiction does not exist, there is no such thing as causality.

the wind & sky falcon (sparrowhawk) - an entity i have had a few "discussions" with. this is something i cannot verbalize yet. main yellow design in the eyes.

green - the very aspect of life itself, the unstoppable force of evolution. a force that cannot be stopped by any means whatsoever. a careless beast that brings about all life but also extinguishes life to incentivize more life. intergalactic wars have raged and will rage all to force the continual "perfection" of the living.

the dragon - specifically i will likely be invoking the plumed serpent.

void - the void. the husks. the qliphoth. i can not explain such a concept in so few words. the light created is so blinding that it appears as a void. the center of a unseeable luminous ring that outwardly shines all light.

the shedim - i once made a promise not to invoke these forces, but i will be breaking this promise. sorry ~Mar, but you left me to discover for myself and i have found an alternative path, you will not be "saving my soul", i have already damned myself. perhaps we may meet again someday.

so i shall be invoking the "void bunny" - Eira dismantled her very existence in order to take on and embody these aspects. but the act of dismantling one's very own self means the erasure of everything, past, present, future, what could be, what couldn't be, what never is, and what always is. from this totality of void, Eira had to grasp the lights and build her body, soul, and mind. she is the bunny's shade, a body to carry out her will, to embody all and also embody nothing. her first act was to wrap herself in the garb of the purple light and become once more.

ANGEL HIERARCHY IN JUDAISM

The hierarchy for angels depends on both the religion & branch when it comes to Abrahamic religions.

This is specifically within the case for Judaism as well as of the types within the religion of course.

This is specifically from Maimonides, Mishneh Torah.

1 | CHAYOT HA KODESH

Described as the highest rank within Judaism, they hold God’s supposed throne. Sometimes shortened to the Chayot, meaning “ Holy Living Ones.” The first choir of angels.

Described as having three pairs of wings, like that of the Seraphim. Many eyes but not much else is known of their appearance further.

2 | OPHANIM

Second below the Chayot, the Ophanim do not sleep, as they guard God’s throne in Heaven & must be constantly vigilant. They have great wisdom & are known for this.

They are described as the closest to God. & are a ‘wheel’. Made of prismatic flame, one inside another, covered as well in eyes.

They role as thinkers, observers, and teachers.

3 | ERELIM

Marked by courage & understanding, they are beneath the Ophanim. Unfortunately, I am having trouble finding much more on them.

As said in Kabbalah, archangel Tzaphkiel leads the Erelim.

4 | HASHMALLIM

Known for love, kindness, & grace. Archangel Tzaphkiel also leads them. They lay below the Erelim. Known as ‘The Electric Ones’.

As the Erelim, unfortunately, I was unable to find much, my apologies.

5 | SERAPHIM

They are noted for their work when it comes to Justice. Archangel Chamuel leads the Seraphim.

They have six wings, & feathers glowing like flames. They are “ The Burning Ones”.

Of the many aspects of what the Seraphim do, the chief one guards the rims of the Abyss in Briah, which keep demons from coming out.

6 | MALAKHIM

Noted for both beauty & mercy, they are led by Archangel Raphael. Much like some of their prior ranks, I can find little on them.

7 | ELOHIM

They mark the effort for the victory of “Good over Evil”. Also known as “

The Godly Ones” & “The Gods”.

They deal with mortals, they work much for divine-mortal relationships. & work to take the mortals perspectives when needed.

8 | BENE ELOHIM

They focus their work on giving glory to God. Archangel Michael leads them. Also referred to as “Sons of God”. Unlike their leader, Archangel Michael, I can find little more on them.

9 | CHERUBIM

They are more human-like beings. & work with mortals dealing with sin that separates them from God. Archangel Gabriel leads Cherubim. & guarded The Garden of Eden.

10 | ISHIM

They are most like mortal humans, quite human-like, they tend closely to the human world & protect it from supposed demons. Some acting as guardian angels towards mortals. Their leader is Sandalphon.

When on Earth, they take many forms mostly of humans, but some as animals such as dogs.

Fuck it, Elkanah is going to be an ex Lordship/Dominion/Hashmallim angel which is basically a subset from the Second Sphere of Heaven who control and regulate the duties of lesser angels and make known the commands of God, rulers over earthly kingdoms, angels that decide the outcomes of wars who also govern the stars and planets. Regarded as heavenly “governors” who balance between matter and spirit, good and bad, cause and effect, and whose job it is to keep the forces of chaos and the entire cosmos in order.

i want to talk about my OCs again so here’s some magical girls

the basic idea for this setting is that this was a Precure-esque who became magical girls in middle school and went onto save the world and now that they’re adults, they’re all horribly traumatized and trying to figure out life after what they went through. but like, not in some “what if magical girls were dark” thing

oh and the theme for the magical girl names is biblical angels just go with it

the pink cure of the group, or in this case, Cherubim Pink aka Yui, was the energetic genki soul of the group while they were active, but due to an event where one of her friends died and later came back to life (more on her in a bit) she’s fallen onto hard times. her friend’s death continues to haunt her despite the fact that she got better and this has led her to a number of self-destructive coping mechanisms. still, she tries to put on a brave face for the rest of the group to stay in the role of the upbeat and happy center of the group, even if the group has fallen apart over the last decade

the blue cure of the group, Erelim Blue aka Arisa, was a girl who didn’t know the others in the group before getting wrangled into becoming a magical girl. she took some time to accept her duty, but shortly after she finally was okay with her role, in the final battle, her legs were crushed, rendering her immobile for life. she’s incredible bitter about this and blames the others for involving her in it. once they stopped being magical girls, she tried to leave the group and go back to her normal life, but Yui and a couple others still try to include her, to her chagrin

the yellow cure of the group, Hashmallim Yellow aka Junna, wanted to continue helping people after retiring as a magical girl, so she became a cop. after watching a coworker put a boot on the face of a friend from a local gay bar during a “riot”, she realized that she shouldn’t do that, so quit and became a vigilante, where she occasionally teams with another girl we’ll get to later

(Precure is less consistent about colors and characterization beyond the main three)

Ophanim Purple aka Eru was the girl who died and came back to life. she came out the other side of that experience an extreme nihilist, knowing that once she dies, there’s nothing left for her, even in a world where magic exists. this has given her an incredibly self-destructive and hedonistic attitude centered around living in the moment

Seraphim Red aka Yuu, is trans. despite having generally fond memories of his time as a magical girl, he dislikes thinking back on it due to the “girl” part being a constant source of dysphoria, which has made him reflect less fondly on that era of his life despite everything else. as a magical girl, he was one of the most enthusiastic, so this shift in attitude is hard for the others to understand. he's still friends with the others, but all this makes that difficult

Hayyot Green aka Hikari, is The Plural One. following the conclusion of the group’s magical girl activities, Hikari had a split between herself and herself as a magical girl, and while she is over being a magical girl and wishes to put it in her past, the other on, Midori, isn’t. Midori being a fan of magical girls, tokusatsu, and superheroes has led her to being a vigilante alongside Junna, to Hikari’s displeasure. this causes a lot of strife between them, which ranges from petty arguing to outright toxic and hostile moods

The Hashmallim are an order of angelic beings in Judaism. The fourth rank of angels in the Jewish heirarchy, they are sometimes said to be directly related to the first rank of angels, the hayyoth.

The Hashmallim are described as beings of fire, appearing as clouds of flame with a more traditional angelic figure within.
