His name is Death and he's really death. He's pretty quiet and just wants to live in peace with his chickens. AKA: literally click any ao3 username, "bookmarks" should appear towards the top of the resulting page. You can then voyage into the additionally wonderful waters of filtering by length, "recommended", fandom, etc.

Also: if the fic you like is in collections, try checking them out, especially if the title appeals to you. Can be a great way to find essentially a fic playlist.

i guess it is a given that i am probably not an average or standard user of websites but whenever tumblr staff says something about the website being hard to use, or refusing to let us have options to turn something on/off in the menu because "it's adding bloat and too many complicated options for new users" i just get so confused. like what?

i love settings. i love little toggleable sliders. the first thing i do whenever i get any account or device is go into the options to make it exactly how i like. i spent 2 hours setting up my firefox to perfection. i have memorized and examined every tumblr feature multiple times. getting a new phone or laptop is like a fun 2 week long process of arranging settings and personalization and notifications. it baffles me that tumblr wants to REMOVE options. i love options!!

it's with a heavy heart that we must now say goodbye to Twinbrook, as the sim-gods have decided to throw out so many errors & crashes that I can no longer get past a certain progress point 😢

I've gotten myself into a bit of a predicament where the new d20 ep was yesterday, and tonight is cr, but listen summer just started on my Meadowlands file and I have so much work to do–

suffice to say I am teetering on the edge of falling behind on these very long shows I have committed myself to and that is sooo dangerous for my adhd brain

My disability-adjacent hot take is that subtitles alone aren't really enough. I have trouble differentiating where sound comes from, for instance, so it's wildly helpful to have clarification on where sound is supposed to be coming from (right versus left, ect).

On a related note, if your subtitles are not clear, accurate, or translated in the case of foreign language, your subtitles aren't good. I don't want to read a paraphrased, censored version of what people are saying. I want to know exactly what they're saying because omitting even one word can dramatically change the tone, implication, and the entire meaning of what is said.

Whenever I write a fanfic, I always edit it on my phone like some kind of masochist??? Seeing words on a different type of screen helps me catch things I'd otherwise miss, but boiiii when it's 7000+ words !!!!!!
