This is Zu—I mean, Jian Li and Katara's second meeting in the Kyoshi Warriors AU. The first proper one, anyway.

Once they get through a minor difference of opinion or two (“I can carry my own basket!” “Never said you—” “I'm not weak!” “I didn't—” “Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean—” “Would you listen for once, woman?!” ) they'll become nearly inseparable.

For now Jian Li will carry Katara's basket all the way to the Kyoshi Warriors' dojo and, once there, they'll mercilessly tease Sokka when they see him in uniform.

we don’t acknowledge enough how dee used to be a pageant winner when she was a kid and how much damage it did to her. she worked her ass off and got recognition for being pretty and talented at a young age and it was the only source of self esteem she could garner in a family that constantly berated and talked down to her. she sought after that external approval because it was the only way she could prove everyone around her wrong. her dream of being a performer didn’t come from a self-aggrandizing delusion— she genuinely showed a lot of potential when she was younger. but she went through an unflattering puberty and her spinal condition got worse and that natural talent she had as a kid plateaued way too early. the “former gifted kid” dilemma. she slowly lost the thing that promised her that she was good, but she was so desperate to keep holding onto it that she tried anyway. again and again and again no matter how much people made fun of her because it was always about proving them wrong. but after a while she couldn’t jump anymore without anticipating the way it feels when she hits the ground face first. self-sabotage became her way out, choosing to rather live in the fantasy of her own unrealized potential and blaming those around her for her lack of success, than having tried and crashed again. she’d rather buy lottery tickets over and over and never scratch off the numbers than to see that she lost. that self-sabotaging behavior bled into other aspects of her life too, from friendships to relationships to therapy. her own short lived success is what made her grow into embodying the cycle of failure.

I was listening to this song the other day and thought about making a stupid thing with Comic Ambrosius sitting in a plastic chair with a bottle (of alcohol) in hand with colorful lights like a party- but I drew this comic instead where nothing happens and it's just Ambrosius looking at Ballister jskdsj

I didn't give myself much time to draw it bc I got stuff to do (pipipi) but it's colorful and that's all that matters to me ajskd

BTWW I wrote down this idea aksjdsaj I hope it makes sense, also I base every single thing I make for them on the few first chapters I read of the comic on internet, so- you know🧍 each number is supposed to be a panel wiii

It's based over that moment in the Good Place where Michael's like 'what am i supposed to say-?' and then says all he has done wrong, and Chidi's like, yeah, exactly that. And so, Michael apologies for real and he confesses he's scared and waa (I think, i haven't rewatched the show in a while pipipi)

I swear that I had thought of something deeper but then I forgot to write it down at the moment and had to improvise now ajsdkadj Curse my terrible memory.

Anyways, maybe Ballister's getting the apology he wanted but he hates Ambrosius so much and has so much resentment that his apology just makes him angrier- in a Yeah, you should hate yourself, I'm glad you do way, but he still feels like weird bc the guy's apologizing, and he has fondness for Ambrosius despite everything, so he's like 🧍

(HC that he is very resentful and is very hurt/upset that it took Ambrosius so long to dignify himself to apologize?)

By the way, I didn't know Comic Ambrosius was a tad bit shorter and I love that fact 10/10

no seriously christopher's involvement in 7x04 is a big contributor to me being sure that buddie is gonna go canon. buck getting so upset that chris finds tommy so cool so quickly, then tommy needing to reassure buck that he’s a permanent fixture in christopher's life and that chris doesn't shut up about him, and then buck's little smile?? such a significant moment that could've just been a throwaway reassuring comment. and chris didn't even need to be mentioned at all in that scene! tommy knew about buck being an ass to him and eddie, but presumably had no idea that buck was jealous of how well he and chris got along too. he just genuinely noticed how important buck and chris are to each other and needed to mention it, because it's that obvious! anyone who dates buck or eddie is going to have to accept buck and christopher as an inseparable unit. and if even tommy, who christopher loved immediately, couldn't compete, then who can?

it's always amusing to you when Foul Legacy sulks and attempts to ignore you, because from your perspective it's absolutely adorable. he gets all huffy and lets out small hisses and growls, his back always facing you like a disgruntled cat. you simply smile, silently, and sit down on the couch, flipping open a book to wait. every so often you can feel his gaze on you, itching to approach but held back by his pouting. the only sound in the room is the quiet ticking of the clock on the wall and the paper of your pages bending as you turn them

then, careful and hesitant, you feel the couch dip beside you

without even looking, you lift a hand and settle it into Legacy's soft hair, a steady purr beginning to fill the room. he nudges your book aside, trying to fit himself in your lap, and with a kind laugh you set the novel down and wrap your arms around him as much as you can, the sight of such an intimidating Abyssal monster curled into a ball making you bite your tongue to keep from losing it. he presses his head under your chin with a satisfied trill, claws hooking on your shirt so you can't leave- not that you want to- and he gives you the gentlest of headbumps, kneading your stomach carefully. it's his way of saying that you're forgiven- although you'd better give him twice the amount of kisses the next day to make up for it- and any attempts to get up are met with whining and the weight of Foul Legacy holding you down. he wants snuggles!! he missed you all day!! please snuggle with him!!
