I have a few recs that I’ve been meaning to edit but the neurodivergent monster is making motivation so low right now… so to meet the dopamine hit and avoid posting withdrawals, here’s a rec from my drafts.
One of her more steady moments in the morning. Can you imagine a rainy Sunday morning laying listening to her relax as she gets familiar with her surroundings? Sometimes speeding up with breathing or a sneaky hit of nicotine 😅
Giving my mitral some love for a change Those powerful and forceful beats that can be felt. The rhythm so hypnotic, you could fall asleep to her.
Not gonna lie, my favourite feeling in the world is when someone I've connected with feels so safe and comforted by my heart beating in their ears that they are able to fall asleep is heartwarming. That they are able to give into that vulnerability and trust me and my little one just melts me.
Are you the same? Do you feel the that calm trust from her too?
In this one, I did multiple flights of stairs, squats, push-ups and other assortment of exercises. I manipulated the light to capture the shadow of my apex, which I enjoyed doing after seeing the video. I remember feeling my heart pumping in my eyes; I actually have a vein in my left eye that I can see in my peripheral pulsating to my hight heart rate.
Looking back on this video, I wish a woman's soft hands would delicately place the tips of her fingers on top of my heart. I probably would have kept my exercise going!
I've had a hypothesis for a while now that everyone's heart sounds different because they are different, but I'd always assumed that most heartbeats sound semi-alike and I wouldn't be able to hear all the differences until I had appropriate training. (I'm pre-med.)
Well, yesterday I stumbled upon a YT short of a sound designer who needed to record some heartbeat foley and just used her coworkers (LOL). And not only can you tell the difference right off the bat, but the heartbeat fits the person perfectly. I couldn't tell you why or how, but it just does? Granted, she had really high-res equipment, but apparently, hearts have no interest whatsoever in sounding the same. The generic heartbeat sound we think of is the tip of the iceberg. No one's heart is exactly that. It's so much more.
But yeah, hypothesis officially confirmed. That's awesome.
Your eyes hold a universe of magic, your voice a sweet melody that stirs my soul. Your smile is my favorite heartbeat, and being with you is being home.
