An Updated List of the "Celebrities" Following ARO by u/Training-Jello7600
An Updated List of the "Celebrities" Following ARO MM hasn't broken 600K followers yet. Possibly why she hasn't posted anything? Maybe she's planning yet *another* launch/rebrand to garner more traffic. Maybe she's practicing more calligraphy to unleash on her poor graphic design team. Or maybe the Houthis attacked her shipping container of patchouli. Whatever the reason for the hype sans actual product drop, it's a bit DOA if you ask me...Here is an updated list of the "celebrities" following Actually Really Obnoxious. I've added in their respective claims to fame in case you've never heard of the person. Let me know if there are any more and I will add them to the list! I just went with the biggest names I could recognize. It's...not an impressive list. Royal Warrants
Tumblr media
Royal Warrant Holders or Purveyors to the Court are companies or individuals who provide a good or service to the royal court. Not all companies the royal buy items from are issued royal warrants and just because a company has one doesn't mean that they are the exclusive supplier of that product. The companies chosen are usually older and have a history of working with the royal family. Each country has a slightly different set of rules but in most of them the warrants have to be renewed on a regular basis and can be revoked at any time.
I only included countries that I could find a list for like I know Spain issues royal warrants but I can't find a list of them. Some abolished monarchies like Romania still issue royal warrants and some countries like Japan and Norway don't issue them anymore despite still being monarchies.
Belgium - Fournisseur breveté de la Cour - 114 total
Ciel mes bijoux
Cosyns Joaillier - since 2018
Maison De Greef - since 1998
Leysen Frères - since 1982
Wolfers
Denmark - Kongelig Hofleverandør - 108 total
A. Dragsted - since 1898 - also crown jeweler
Georg Jensen - since 1924
Ole Lynggaard - since 2008
A. Michelsen - since 1848
Luxembourg - Fournisseur de la Cour - 56 total
Schroeder Joailliers - since 1914
Molitor Joaillerie - since 1967
Bijouterie Goedert - since 2020
Netherlands - Hofleverancier - 502 total - These are a little different because they don't have to actually be a supplier to the court to hold a royal warrant.
Steltman Juwelier
Fabery de Jonge Juweliersbedrijf
Hofland Juweliers
Henri Camps Juwelier
Kamerbeek Juwelier
Kiestra Juweliersbedrijf
Rikkoert Juweliersbedrijven In't Silverhuijs
Sellink Horlogemaker Goudsmid Juwelier
Vaessen Juweliers
Van Zijp Juweliers
Veerman Juwelen
Sweden - Kunglig Hovleverantör - 130 total
Bolin - also crown jeweler since 1916
Gaudy
United Kingdom - Royal Warrant Holders - Over 800 - In the UK, royal warrants are issued from individuals not by the court as a whole. In the past the monarch, consort, and heir have been able to grant them and some companies may have a warrant from multiple people at once. They are good for two years after the grantor passes away so at the moment there are some from Queen Elizabeth II (686 total) and the Duke of Edinburgh (38 total) that are up in the air. I expect King Charles (159 already) will issue new warrants to replace some given by his parents but not all of them. The only jeweler that does not already have one from him is G. Collins & Sons who were QEII's personal jewelers.
King Charles
Asprey - they have it on their website but they are not listed on the Royal Warrant Holders Association website
Bentley & Skinner
Cartier
Fiona Rae
Garrard - was crown jeweler from 1843 to 2007
Mappin & Webb - the crown jeweler has worked for them since 2012
Wartski
Queen Elizabeth II
Bentley & Skinner
G. Collins & Sons - was crown jeweler from 2007 to 2012
Mappin & Webb
Wartski

Keeping the list short bc I didn't love that many movies this year. Could have added Aftersun (which was brilliant, but it's from 2022 even if it was released in 2023 in France).
Add your personnal fav in the tags : I am curious and maybe I missed out some great ones !

Charles Bukowski ¿Las cosas del Maestro “Maldito”?
Tumblr media

Four Dead in Ohio
Tumblr media
Keith Newman
On this day in May 1970 Four students were killed at Kent State by the Ohio National guard. The governor was behind in the polls and these deaths which he ordered helped him climb into contention. Though he lost by one point in 1970, he won re-election in 74 and 78. Some Parents told their (unharmed) kids who were at the scene, the Guard should have shot them all. That is how divided our nation was. (We can overcome Trump).
William Schroeder- Sought to understand the war. He had chosen to serve in the armed services and intended to go to Vietnam so he could better under understand the events of his time Allison Krause- The day before she had placed a flower in the barrel of a National Guardsman's gun  saying; 'flowers are better than bullets. She was  leaving campus on her way to her car to  go to a job Jeffrey  Miller- intelligent and kind, he was  against the war in Vietnam but by no means was a  violent protestor Sandra Scheuer- was on her way to class. Her father escaped the Holocaust to see his daughter murdered as others expressed their first amendment rights. She and Jeffrey Miller were in a relationship but were not together when the shots ending their lives  rang out.

A Not so Final Thought on May 4
Keith Newman
“There is, and there may never be, any closure for what happened at Kent State University. As I wrote almost 30 years ago: “No one was willing to confess. Which is understandable. After all, how would you like to go down in history as the man who started the killings at Kent State?”
                               William Gordon
Maybe Gordon is right. Maybe history will always treat May 4, 1970 as an open case, ensuring its lessons are taught and retaught to every generation of Americans. The dead cannot be brought back to life, the wounds of survivors hit by bullets cannot completely heal. The heartache affecting so many will not dissipate until their own hearts takes its last beat.
That is true for me as well. Though I feel a strong bond to those who fell on May 4, it was not my biological sister or brother whom was killed. My heart was not ripped open due to the unexpected loss of a loved one. For me it was my country. I lost the notion that our country was good, that our leaders could be trusted, that everyone deserved respect. And this loss I mourn. Questioning Authority became what I can do for my country.
“The fundamental role of a democracy is to control the amount of police force that is used. What happened was an inappropriate and very unfair use of force against protesting students”
                                      Kent State Professor Jerry Lewis
“I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it,"
       Patrick Henry
What happened that day was a 24 minute hunting expedition.
       Alan Canfora
The Boston Massacre did have closure. It served a lesson for our not yet formed country, that everyone is entitled to a trial, that the accused shall always be granted a lawyer. The results of that trial astonished many.
The Kent State Massacre deserves such a legacy. General Canterbury, the commanding officer has passed away, Sergeant Pryor, the man who claims he never fired his pistol, a gun that wasn’t his, that he should not have had with him that day has died. So have several of the student survivors of that day such as Alan Canfora carrying the flag in the above picture. Canfora had chosen the Black Flag to reflect his dark mood over having recently attended a funeral for a close friend killed in Vietnam.
But Terry Norman remains alive. He was placed at the event by members of the City of Kent Police Department. He was given instructions on where to be, what to do. Acoustics say a gun was fired four times before the Guard returning from the practice field turned and fired on innocent civilians, just as German soldiers had often done during the Holocaust. We know Terry Norman on that day confessed to shooting his gun four times, admitted he may have killed someone, we know officers examined the gun stating it had been fired four times. We know he met on the practice field and conversed with several members of the Guard when the soldiers there realized their commanding officer was not prepared for the day, when discipline amongst the troops broke down, when several members of the Guard knelt in firing position guns aimed at students.
No one knows what happened during that time on the practice field, what plans were hatched as soldiers left the field and began their march up Blanket Hill, across the Commons, and back to the ROTC building. Americans deserve to know the truth of what happened on the day Democracy died. If the FBI wants to be taken respectfully by honest American citizens, it needs to come clean on what the FBI Agent who met with Terry Norman on May 3rd discussed. We need to know how Democracy died on May 4th.
Concepts, unlike human life can be brought back from the dead. When I visited Germany, another place where Democracy once died, I visited a Gestapo headquarters in Cologne. Blood was still on the walls. Fear gripped me even though I had nothing to fear. Anger rifled through me though there was no one I could vent my anger upon. Last night I dreamt that building was dismantled and shipped piece by piece to my house, and that it was my job to reassemble that shrine, a shrine that exists in a thriving Democracy. Kent State has done no less, and yet I fear in these Trumpian times, it’s not enough. That nothing will be enough.  Martin Scheuer, the father of Sandra Scheuer escaped the Holocaust in Germany to see his daughter be killed in America while walking to class as others were expressing their first amendment rights. We who value these rights must be committed to “Never Again.”
Visit to Gestapo Headquarters
I walked into death
Cold burning into my soul
Screams imprinted onto the walls
White filth, charcoal blood, the empty rooms filled with unlived lives
Visitors spoke silently respecting the dead, fearing the torture,
Sounds no longer heard, still visible
The unspoken greeting at the door was not a welcome
Just an acknowledgement.
The guard, aware of my guilt though he knew me to be an innocent witness
An innocent witness no different than he the guard of guards
The preserver of the past, the guardian of the future.
Our eyes met.
We shared the acknowledgement.
I recognized his pain.
He recognized mine.
Our only sin We are survivors
Not in blood or tatoos, but in tears,
Not just for our own, but for those with whom we share the spirit,
I get to walk out of death and he comes home from it every night
We leave the cold death burnt into our souls and daily exchange it for the warmth of love
Tomorrow he’ll greet a new face with another silent acknowledgment
And I’ll be linked to all who visit through his ghostly but knowing stare
It’s not just the guilt we share, But the spirit
And the hope
No one will be guilty again

In short order, Sister Lucia was assigned to lead the convent at Holy Trinity church in New Ulm, MN. Close to Chaska, her home town, Sister Lucia knew nothing of New Ulm.
A bit earlier, Sister Antonis (aka, little Rosa), Sister Lucia's niece, had also been assigned to return to MN, at a school in NE Minneapolis by the name of St. Boniface. The staff eagerly awaited her arrival, as they'd hoped she could teach the children sewing, piano and Catechism. And a more than capable Sister Antonis was up to the task.
Now that Sister Antonis was in Minneapolis, she was able to see her aunt Monica and Henry Vaars, who owned a home in N. Mpls, and had filled it with five children.
During one of the Vaars Sunday meals in N. Mpls, Monica showed Sister Antonis the long beloved amethyst ring with the intention of finally giving this beautiful ring to Sister Antonis, its rightful owner.
"Monica, I've taken a vow of poverty. I have no need for it, and I fear I might someday lose it." Turning to her cousin, Roseanne, seated beside her, Sister Antonis continued, "Roseanne, please be the custodian of this precious ring. Maybe someday, if you have a daughter, you can pass it on to her." Elated, Roseanne took the ring, promising she would take great care of it.
In New Ulm, Sister Lucia was greeted by a cheerful Father Schroeder. He and Sister Lucia toured this grand church while he explained its difficult history in great detail. **Read full text in LISTENING TO HER OWN VOICE (AMAZON) - Chapter 16. **
"Do you see up there, Sister? The artists who pained the ceiling were local artists. One of them was Christian Heller. He, too, was a Swiss immigrant. Unfortunately, he passed away from consumption."

Klaus Grünberg and Mimsy Farmer in More (Barbet Schroeder, 1969) Cast: Klaus Grünberg, Mimsy Farmer, Heinz Engelmann, Michel Chanderli, Henry Wolf, Louise Wink. Screenplay: Paul Gégauff, Barbet Schroeder, Mimsy Farmer, Eugene Archer, Paul Gardner. Cinematography: Néstor Almendros. Art direction: Néstor Almendros, Fran Lewis. Film editing: Denise de Casablanca, Rita Roland. Music: Pink Floyd. A vivid downer film, in which a German student (Klaus Grünberg) and an American hippie (Mimsy Farmer) get more deeply involved in drugs, moving from pot to LSD to heroin. More avoids some of the clichés of films about the counterculture of the late '60s -- it doesn't try to re-create the drug experience with camera tricks but instead views its characters externally as it traces their disintegration. It places its more sordid sequences against the beauty of Ibiza to good effect, and the cinematography of Néstor Almendros makes the most of the location, but the film still feels heavy and dated.

Glee «The least of the worries»
-Ok… ¿tú no te vas a vestir?…
-No estoy escribiendo nada.... ¡no!...

2024 MOVIE LIST

I re-watched Barfly (1987)
I once watched this every day for a week. Ami crazy? Maybe.
An alcoholic, unemployed poet enters into a tumultuous relationship before being offered a chance at a better life.
Poet and writer Charles Bukowski (a poet I enjoy because I'm a hipster bum with a bleak outlook) wrote this screenplay loosely based on himself. He created the character 'Henry Chinaski' as his stand-in throughout several stories and used that same character for this film.
The film is directed by Barbet Schroeder.
"Barfly" is a comedy, but it's also a dramatic character study. This slightly heightened reality of Bukowski's life is often gross and frequently funny, but more so it is letting us bear witness to a life and talent wasted. Seeing that behind all that waste, there is a skewed humanity and a desperate dignity that goes malnourished.
The character of Henry Chinaski is played by Mickey Rourke, in one of his best performances. Chinaski is fully realized through good writing, but Rourke gives him a larger than life personality. The cadence of speech, the movement, it's all perfection and is certainly the highlight of the film.
The next highlight is the ease of the story. We don't so much see an arc, as we see a few days in the life of a man who is too stuck in his ways to ever use his art to dig out from the crude alcoholic lifestyle he has chosen. Sure, it's sad and pathetic, but it's also very funny. While Bukowski writes a fantasy of his own life (with women fighting over him and money coming and going like water) he also shows a few of his true colors, a few of his weaknesses and a view of himself which is a transparent ego trip. It's a beautiful thing. It's heightened, it's self indulgent, but it's humanizing.
I adore this movie. It's by no means perfect, but it is a poetically comedic trip through a seriously dark existence.
As a former addict, and wannabe tortured artist, I'm both drawn to and repulsed by Bukowski, as well as the character of Henry Chinaski. There but for the grace of social services go I.

Characters in me and @mellowwolflady's fics that are heroic and kind hearted part 3
Charlie Emily- Years before the events of Vanessa presents how to care for a winged gremlin child Charlie lost her younger brother Sammy because William Afton killed him. However, Charlie won't let Afton have Gregory and she is willing to fight to protect Gregory. Charlie treats Gregory the same way she treated her younger brother Sammy but she never forces Gregory to act like the younger brother she lost. Charlie is also one of the people Gregory trusts the most when it comes to panic attacks. When Charlie finds out that her father Henry Emily is behind the experimentation of Gregory she is horrified and disowns her dad on the spot
Millie Fitzsimmons- The cousin of Maddie Drachenfire Millie is willing to help her cousin protect Gregory at all costs in fact when Drachenfire tells her cousin what happened to Gregory before she adopted him Millie has been known to have said "This is worse than what I had suffered at the hands of Afton's machines" in fact when she and the other members of the cohort against Afton viewed the files of what Gregory went through she actually shed a couple tears especially since at that point she had gotten to know Gregory very well. Millie began to doubt herself about being able to give Gregory the happiness he deserves. Thanks to the encouragement of her girlfriend Sarah who told her to never give up Millie was able to become another person that Gregory could trust. In fact one night when Gregory was staying over at Millie and Sarah's house Millie stayed up all night with Gregory when Gregory had a nightmare.
Krunosh Sha- Krunosh and his younger brother Zoanoab Sha were adopted by Khati Sha. However, Krunosh hardly got any sleep as a child and it's not because he refused to go to bed it's because he would wake up in the middle of the night to hear his adoptive father tossing and turning and screaming from a nightmare about his past as an experiment of the shissar. Krunosh comforted his adoptive father which lead to a very close bond between father and son. When Krunosh became an adult he passed a law that was known as Khati's law stating that "any person who enters this empire and was used as an experiment we are to protect them"
Schroeder Schinder- Years before the events of in the garden of hope Schroeder lead an uprising against a company known as red solo in fact, His uprising accomplished way more than he had hoped. Schroeder was also able to rescue 2 hybrid children that he now raises as his own kids. Schroeder recently while out hiking found a medallion known as the dragon medallion and with this medallion he became possessed by the spirit of Scorpion Johnson who is guiding him on how to fight Samuel
Montgomery Gator- Though despite being possessed by the spirit of Echo the eraser Monty has one goal in mind protect the flock. In fact, because the spirit that possesses him told him that the flock is traumatized Monty decided to work on controlling his anger.
