Opinions on Catwin happening alongside Payneland? As in like V shaped poly relationships?

I think they should all hold hands, for real. My ship is CatMontWinRowPalaSaki. They are a circle that holds hands in different capacities, and I think that's so cool. They all have different appeals and different dynamics. There are not a lot of shows with these levels of chemistry all around.

As for Catwin specifically, it's just the one dynamic that appeals to me personally the most, but I like all of them. I think realistically, Catwin's not happening as endgame. Endgame is gonna be Painland, possibly some sort of opened polycule between them and the girls with queerplatonic NikoxEdwin. But I do think the showrunners didn't expect the Cat King to blow up the way he did so they have hinted on him coming back if they do season 2 so I think we'll be seeing cat and mouse in reverse this time with Edwin being in control and I'm hyped for that. I think a real kiss for Catwin is in the cards, depending on how the hand is played.

As for the general moral debate, I think it's rather funny that we attach such rigorous morals to two ghosts, a cat, a crow, a witch, and a psychic. In a show with Dandellion Sprites, I don't see a reason to be so deep with it. It's fun, it's intimate, it's sexy, it's a story of attraction, and the first brushes with lust and yearning.

Time for part four of these asks for polycules. I'm doing them in ten question increments.

I’m answering for my Bad Romance gang, obviously.

Are any of the polycule members aromantic? How does that influence their relationship boundaries and their relationship to polyamory in general? No. But Riley’s best friend, Hana is aromantic. They slept together once. It didn’t disrupt their friendship but it’s why Liam didn’t like her in the beginning.

Are any of the polycule members asexual? How does that influence their relationship boundaries and their relationship to polyamory in general? No.

Do any of the polycule members consider their relationship(s) to be queerplatonic? How does that influence their relationship boundaries and their relationship to polyamory in general? Nope.

How have their members’ respective family relationships influenced their polyamorous dynamics? I haven’t explored this in Bad Romance, but in Complicated, while they are navigating things, Drake finds out that his parents had an open marriage and it shocked him.

Were any of the members raised in a polyamorous family? No.

Are any of the polycule members parents? How many kids do they have? Oh, yes. Most of them at this point. Riley has five children. Liam is the father of two of them. Drake, Max and Rashad each fathered one. Rashad never wanted children, the youngest child (his) was not on purpose. He is around sporadically and has willingly given the role of father over to the men who are Riley’s nesting partners. I have toyed with the idea of either Liam or Drake having a woman show up with a child of theirs and see how that goes.

If there aren’t any kids yet, will there ever be? See above answer.

How would the polycule deal with one member wanting kids, but another member never wanting kids? It was never a problem because Rashad doesn’t live with Riley nor do they see each other daily or even weekly. His lack of wanting children didn’t affect her at all. Liam always wanted kids. Drake never actively wanted them, but he wasn’t opposed to having them.

If the relationship opened up after children were already in the picture, how was the change explained to them? Was it explained at all? This polycule was in place before any children came along. They have always had three fathers, it’s normal to them. Since Liam and Riley are the king and queen of Cordonia, this isn’t public knowledge and I have toyed with the idea of writing about one of the kids having issues with it as he comes of age and maybe isn’t super cool with not being able to acknowledge who his biological father is.

Do all members of the polycule raise children together, or are there designated “parent” members? The four members that are nesting partners (Riley, Drake, Max and Liam) all function as parents. They make no distinction between whose child is whose. They all parent but Max takes on the bulk of the child care, working from home, overseeing tutors and private lessons, making breakfast, etc.

Dude the character arc where Squidward finds how that it was his father who orchestrated the murder of his mother at the Tuna Turnout drag show to orchestrate the creation of the trans-pacific queerplatonic polycule that he himself recently joined after finally overcoming his homophobia and accepting himself after Patrick sacrificed his life to the Lich King in order to prevent the heat death of the universe. It was so powerful. The musical number at the end has been playing in my head for years.

Ghosts, specifically Cap (romance/queerplatonic):

Capvers: a classic, 99.9% confidence interval on being canon, love fics which explore it in the timeframe or in modern AUs. Can’t go wrong with it

PatCap: the grumpy one is soft for the sunshine one. 10/10. They’re both human, they both have faults and they love each other because of them and not despite them.

Caphrey (or deCAPitation, source unknown for this genius name): Humphrey can smooth out Cap’s rough edges in a different way to Pat. I love Humphrey, he tried so hard. So did Cap. I love their potential for comfort and understanding in a different way to others.

JuliCap: the Captain deserves to feel good and feel sexy and I think this Julian would be a great for exploring his sexuality in a more adventurous way. I have a real soft spot for JuliCap and have made tentative plans for a beast!Julian and beauty!Cap fic in the future.

CapRroh: Robin has just so much depth to him, he’s seen a lot and he knows the Cap has been through it too. So much comfort potential here (bonus points for JuliCapRroh polycule, absolutely delicious)

CapThorne: I just think it’s neat! Let Cap be wooed! Let Thomas be moved away from his infatuation with Alison and realise that he’s in love with the idea of being in love with her and not actually in love with Alison herself!

Kitty and Fanny: I can’t put this into words other than to say that Kitty would drag Fanny kicking and screaming into the future. Fanny doesn’t call Cap or Robin for tech support, she calls Kitty. Mary too.

Like not the name- just silly pun bc they were my cousins :} yeah!! Gem and fWhip were twins, Sausage was their younger brother, and I was their cousin (younger than the twins, older than sausage). We grew up together since well. my "creator" just decided to left me at sum mortal family's porch ig.. so they took me in and i grew up as their cousin!! Sadly while very accepted by them and their parents, I never got the child or sibling title... I was the niece and cousin! And it was okay by me! A bit sad but hey, I had a neat family! :) I did gain a father figure of sorts when I met Pix tho! so i already talked about the obvious aro in the room, kageyama, but now it is time for my boy >:)c. hinata is the king of harem in the fandom which hurts me deeply (/j) but he also happens to be the king of platonic harem. Hinata is similar to kageyama in that i just dont think romance even comes to mind for him. He probably has had a couple squishes but never really a crush. my favorite dynamics he is apart of are with kageyama and kenma and i think they would make a great queerplatonic polycule. I also just love the idea of hinata dragging along two goofy little introverts with him everywhere he goes. i think kageyama and kenma would probably see eachother as rivals to be hinatas best friend before realizing that hinata likes both of them equally and then making peace. i think they would get along pretty well on their own too but this is about hinata rn so i wont get into that too much lol. Hello hello! 💕 thank you for giving me an opportunity to ramble about some more brainrot!

So excluding Rings of Power, here’s some fav polycules:

S-tier: Celrondir — Celebrían/Elrond/Lindir (hobbit films) I’m really fond of the Elrondir ship but I can never justify setting Elrond up with someone and not involving Celebrían, so in my head Lindir got a crush on Elrond, Elrond got a crush on Lindir, and meanwhile Cel was in the background also mildly attracted to Lindir (but mostly they’re just besties) & she was like ‘ok now kiss’. Bonus points if they eventually all get married to each other — peak sweet anxious wreck Lindir getting doted on by Cel & Elrond, but also Lindir and Elrond mutually sitting there fawning over their hot wife. Meanwhile Celebrían has this lil harem of husbands who adore her (and she and Lindir gossip about Elrond like girls at a sleepover). I just love them your honor.

S-tier - QPR Celrondgalad - I’m very much of the opinion that Elrond and Gil had some mutual devotion/fealty queerplatonic intense thing going on in the second age. Absolute platonic soulmates (who occasionally had sex). Celebrían and Gil were best buddies & like literally nobody was a bigger Celrond shipper than Gil. He loved seeing how happy they made each other 😭💕 and like Elrond and Celebrían didn’t really get a chance to talk about this because of Gil’s fate, but Elrond got this impression that he needed to break off the QPR thing with Gil, meanwhile Cel was like “what we have and what you two have are two completely different things and not mutually exclusive”. So at some point they did end up talking about this and once Elrond sails and reunites with both of them, it’s very much a “hi this is my husband and this is my best friend who’s my husband’s boyfriend” and I love them for that

A-tier - Celrondgalad 🤝 Celrondir - in a Celrondir verse, Lindir sails with Elrond to reunite with Cel and then also gets the shock of his life getting invited into a four-person polycule with the High King(tm) and is extremely embarrassed and worked up about this. I can’t really see Lindir and Gil being a thing except for besties who bond over their adoration for Elrond.

B-tier (fun to think about sometimes but mostly as a joke) - Celronduil and Celronduil 🤝 Celrondir - Celebrían and Thranduil tell Elrond to get in the car, loser, we’re going shopping. Weird on the surface but the more you think about the more entertaining the dynamics get. Especially if you toss Lindir in for fun because he is but one poor wet pathetic meow meow in a polycule of extremely strong personalities. It amuses me so I daydream about it often.

Basically all of these naturally revolve around Celrond, because I headcannon that Elrond just wasn’t really interested in romantic relationships very much prior to meeting Celebrían (except now I have a Celebrimbor brain worm that is changing that…), and Celrond is so endgame to me that all of my polycules are born out of me trying to reconcile my other pet Elrond ships without having to wave away my OTP 😂 plus it just makes sense. Elrond has so much love to give and I feel like he deserves a polycule. As a treat.

Chara/Asriel is extremely cute they are best friends they are siblings they are partners they kiss and snuggle and one day they'll rule the underground together and Chara is convinced they don't deserve Asriel

I think Asgore/Chara would be a very cute ship but there's probably no content for it. I just think on it sometimes.

Frisk/Chara Queerplatonic body sharers post game is very good to me. I've also seen an AU where Frisk gives up their soul for Asriel to come back and they share a body and I think the three of them should vibe like that.

Kris/Berdly is the only one that actually hard matters to me I love them I love them so much they are gaymers. Especially love it with Transfemme Berdly for no other reason than I love her my baby girl

Kris/Spamton is!!!! So good!!! I love Spamton a little freak an old man who's really weird about this teenager he just met he makes them so uncomfortable I think it's hysterical

Kris/Ralsei while we're on the train is incredibly cute and another instance of a Darkner being very Unnormal about Kris in a way that makes them uncomfortable. Ralsei infantalizes Kris while also putting them on such a high pedestal. Good uncomfy Yandere content

Another probably doesn't need to be said but I think Susie/Noelle is pretty alright. My opinion on it is very same as Alphyne it's fine it's canon gays and it's cute. No complaints from me

Lancer/Susie/Noelle though?? Incredible. Top tier. Susie will go nowhere without her little guy Lancer, and Noelle thinks he's cute as can be and incredibly silly. Is he involved romantically? Unclear but he sure is there
