Man im tempted to do a one shot but i want to focus on getting the first quarter of the wings of war done before i write something else

Honestly if i had fewer characters and relationships planned for the wings of war id put hicclegs in it (although there will be quite a bit of platonic hicclegs later on)

Theyre just so cute. Aghhh. Imagine them cuddling and talking about dragons

In the forge on Dragon’s Edge, Hiccup accidentally cuts herself with a dagger she just sharpened. It’s on her palm at the base of her thumb. With a hiss, she watches as blood breaches the surface.

“Oh no!” Fishlegs is quick to go to her side, a clean cloth is with him to press against the wound. He holds her hand in both of his as he puts pressure on the bleed. It’s nothing big, it won’t even need any stitches. If they can just put pressure on it for a little bit, it’ll resolve by itself.

So they stand there in the middle of the forge, neither dragon interrupting what is obviously a moment between the two. Her hand in both of his, Hiccup puts her left on top of theirs. The two share glances and smiles, pure comfort between them.

By the time Fishlegs takes a look, the bleeding has almost slowed to a stop.

“It’s already a little better,” he tells her, though she can see that just fine. In the forge, there’s always a little kit with medical essentials nearby- he calls it a “first aid kit” - and in it he finds the bandages he needs in order to wrap up her hand.

“All better!” He says before placing a gentle kiss on the wrapping.

“Thank you,” Hiccup can feel her heart fluttering before she leans forward and kisses him on the lips. When she pulls away, there’s a blush on his cheeks and she laughs.

you know it just occured to me that between snotlout's crush on thor bonecrusher, that episode where ruffnut and fishlegs got married for a day, the fact "hicclegs lovefest" is a phrase actually said in the show, and his relationship with heather, fishlegs might actually have the most game in httyd canon.
