People who call Ganondorf a potential "techbro" don't understand the fundamental difference between a "techbro" and "a technical person". A techbro would entrust their life to technology, because having tech control every aspect of your life is the "future". A technical person who really understands how software and hardware work, and especially how exploitable it is, would not allow a single thing to be automated without ensuring they understand who has control over it, and more importantly ensuring they have sufficient control over it.

"So are you too locked in or can I make a request?"
It would never, ever, get old: watching a man the size of a mini van jump a foot in the air and straight out of his skin. The flash of steel catches the blinding supermarket lights in his ghost vision.
Wisely, Duke steps out of the way of the knife going for his stomach.
"Duke what the fuck!" Jason whisper yells when he realizes. (Duke barely suppresses an eye roll, who else has the invisibility powers required to make a holographic jacket stealthy.)
(Cass probably, Duke's mind provides.)
"I could have hurt you!"
"It's nice for you to think that," he consoles with as much condescension as Duke could muster. (A lot, for your information, he learned from the best, and also Batman.) "Anyway answer the question."
"No," Jason grumbles, trying to straighten his list where it got crunched in his deathgrip. "Planning d-"
"Day was yesterday, yeah, I had a math test yesterday."
Jason's eyes narrow.
"Does B have more trackers that I don't know about?"
"Hm? No," assures Duke. "I took Tim's notes."
"Tim's notes that have like a billion layers of security?"
Duke snorts.
"His notes that have two passwords, a thumb scanner, and a retinal scanner." He rolls his eyes for real this time to display his clear disdain.
"That Babs can't hack through?"
"You and I both know that Babs' concept of 'can't' is much more flexible than her concept of 'won't'"
"Fair that's on me for this very stressful afternoon you are putting me through," Jason snipes.
"Think of it as exposure therapy," Duke says, patting Jason's shoulder, which, to Duke's extreme delight he doesn't flinch from. "And I'll show you how I hack Tim's shit when we're not in public."
Jason grumbles, which is good as gold in Jason speak.
"Make your request," Jason begrudges, in that tone he has that indicates he will be judging your choice.
"Jalapeno cornbread, and you show me how you make it my dad wants the recipe."
Jason's head snaps up and he smiles.
"Oh man if it's for Doug you can request anything you want!"
"Eighteen million dollars," Duke jokes.
Jason pretends to think on it for a beat.
"Make it 14 and you have a deal."
Duke sighs dramatically.
"You drive a hard bargain but I'll accept... I guess."
"Shut up flashlight," Jason laughs. "Come on, I need cornmeal now."

I've recently decided to take my Star Wars modern AU and give it a plot and as I've been thinking about it I wrote a short scene that takes place somewhat close to the beginning middle-ish. Unfortunately, I do not want to spoil the story so this scene is without context, but I'll post it here anyways for anyone who wants to read it.
There were no lectures in the Fett car that night. Only silence, though it was sometimes interrupted by the crunching of rocks on the asphalt road against the car’s tires. Omega huddled in the back seat, trying to ignore the glare Crosshair was giving her from the rearview mirror. Out of all her brothers, he was the angriest, which was not really very surprising. Crosshair tended to be like that. His anger was like ice—cold, hard, and long-lasting. Omega knew it could be months before he stopped being mad. She could even be done with her sentence—three months of grounding plus an extra month of chores—before Crosshair even began to stop being angry. Sometimes she wished he wasn’t like that. But it was just a testament to his loyalty—loyalty that kept him with Omega and her brothers instead of letting him roam off around the world like Omega knew he wanted to.  She hoped someday he would get to travel. He had told her once, in the strictest confidence, that he wanted to visit every country. So far, he had only been to three. Omega had been curious after he shared that with her, and she had snuck out his passport while he had been sleeping. Two stamps. One to Afghanistan, and the other to Costa Rica. The former had been to visit a recovering Echo. The latter had been for his never-spoken-of time working for the Empire. Omega usually liked Crosshair’s loyalty. But not now. Now it would mean holding onto his anger. There wouldn’t be any late-night movies or conversations between them for a while. Omega curled her legs up to her chest and hugged her knees. It would be fine. She’d get through this.

Also something good to know: smart appliances connected to the internet are super easy to hack because they all come with unchangeable factory passwords. Through the smart appliances anyone with malicious intent can access anything on your internet. Source: The ERAU cybersecurity course I did the closed captions for in college.

Exploring the Benefits of Smart Door Locks with SwitchBot
Hello everyone!
This thread is for all the tech enthusiasts and home automation fans out there!
I recently started exploring the world of smart home technology, and I must say, I am particularly impressed by SwitchBot's offerings, especially their smart door locks. I've been using one for a while now, and it has truly transformed the way I secure my home.
SwitchBot's smart door locks are incredibly user-friendly and provide seamless integration with my existing smart home system. The convenience of being able to lock and unlock my door from my phone or with a simple voice command is fantastic! I no longer have to worry about forgetting my keys or fumbling with them when my hands are full.
What I love the most is the added layer of security. The smart lock sends notifications directly to my phone whenever someone enters or exits my home, giving me peace of mind while I'm away. Plus, I can grant temporary access to guests or service providers without needing to be physically present, which is a game changer!
For anyone considering a smart door lock, I highly recommend exploring SwitchBot's options. They are reliable, stylish, and make everyday life so much easier.
I'd love to hear your experiences with smart door locks or any questions you might have about integrating them into your home. Let's share our insights!
Thanks for reading!

The Existential Horror of Seeing Yourself in a Ring Doorbell Notification Still
There was a time when I thought walking to my own front door was a perfectly ordinary act. Innocuous. Graceful, even, if the wind was behind me and I’d remembered to zip my coat up. But that was before I installed a Ring doorbell—before my entire sense of movement, posture, and dignity was shattered by a grainy still image captured at the precise moment I looked like I was either drunkenly…
