Excuse me, if it's not too much trouble, I was wondering if you could give me some tips or teach me how to introduce myself as an author? I have a serious doubt about how to start this since I'm new to this.
Writing Notes: Author Profile
Professional Bio - (short for professional biography) is a summary of your background, including details like work experience and education.
Serves to introduce you to the reader, usually to establish your credibility and forge a personal connection, like a mini-cover letter.
You can use a professional bio across many mediums, from social media profiles to resumes to blog footers.
They can range from a few sentences to a few paragraphs in length.
How to Write a Professional Bio
Whether you’re applying for new jobs or making a website for your small business, you don’t have to follow a template to write a compelling professional bio. Here is a quick guide to help you in the crafting process:
Determine the purpose. To write a stellar bio, you’ll need to know the exact reason you’re writing it. Identify your target audience and desired outcome. Knowing your bio’s purpose will help you determine its length, necessary components to feature, the ideal point of view (e.g., first person or third person), and tone.
Tailor it to your needs. You can include a short, memorable bio in your portfolio materials, along with any credentials that show recruiters you are a great employee. When crafting a bio for work purposes, writing in the third-person perspective is optimal to help you stand out to hiring managers. You can also include a brief bio on your personal website’s “about page,” which can tell your story and show that you’re capable of serving your customers. This type of bio can help you form a confident, personal connection with your potential clients and is often written in a first-person perspective to sound more personable.
Begin with the most important information. Identify the most important information and include it in the first sentence of your bio. Usually, the first sentence of a professional bio will consist of your full name, your current position, and length of service in the role. Try to keep this sentence clear and concise so that it serves as a clear hook—a long, wordy, opening sentence can run the risk of confusing or losing your readers’ attention.
Add in previous professional experience. Once you state the most important information, add a few more details about your professional background—for instance, previous work experience, job titles, professional accomplishments, schooling, or technical credentials. Keep this section focused and specific (for example, limit yourself to two or three bullet points of personal achievements), or it may seem too braggadocious. If you don’t have a lot of previous experience yet, mention a specific detail or two that shows your capabilities within the field.
Include personal details about your life. Your bio can include information outside of your personal work history. Some people list hobbies, personal interests, fun facts, or pets in their bios to show their personality.
Tips for Writing a Professional Bio
When writing your bio, here are a few tips to keep in mind:
Focus on vital information. The best bios include essential and interesting information. A biography weighed down by extraneous details can become dull or bury critical details. Your bio’s optimal length will depend on its purpose, so consider that before you begin the writing process.
Consider adding links or handles. In situations where you want readers to find you online or contact you, consider adding links for your website or professional social media pages at the bottom of your bio. Linking is especially common in biographies that accompany a writer’s byline on an online blog post.
Maintain a few different bios. Maintain a few different versions of your bio ensures that you’re ready for any situation that requires one. A three-sentence professional bio, a casual or humorous bio, and a more extended bio are all good options to have on-hand.
Profile - a written portrait of a person.
Often, a profile is published as a narrative non-fiction article in a newspaper, magazine, or website.
The story is based on facts discovered through research as well as interviews with the subject and their friends, family, or professional associates.
A profile piece is meant to be informative. It is a portrait of the person through a combination of stories, quotes, and photographs.
Tips for Writing a Profile of a Person
Capturing the essence of a person through words takes good observation and writing skills. Follow these 10 tips to learn how to write a profile:
Read other profiles. To know how to write a profile essay, read how other writers do it. Find feature profiles in the New Yorker. You can also find personality profiles throughout The New York Times, particularly in the Sunday edition of the paper. Look for what information the writer presents about their subject. At the end of the piece, see if you have any lingering questions about the person to make sure you fill those gaps in your own story.
Do your prep work. When you know who the subject of your piece is, start doing some prep work. Research the person. If they’re well-known, it will be easy to find information online. It’s important to use reputable websites in order to find accurate information—this will also save you effort when you or an editor fact-check the article before it’s published. The second part of your prep work will be writing out the questions you want to ask your subject. After doing your research and have read other articles, ask questions other writers haven’t asked yet.
Create an outline. Before you get started, create an outline for your story. Use bullet points to highlight the main points you want to make in your article. You should also figure out the angle of your story. When a journalist writes a story, they have some kind of news angle to their piece—a focus that pulls the article together. This will help you determine what information you need to find out from your subject.
Interview your subject. When you write a profile, you’ll meet with your subject and interview them at least once but usually several times for a big feature story. Be prepared with your questions but also be ready to follow the natural flow of the conversation. Ask questions during your meeting that you think readers will want to know. Pose questions that will encourage your subject to tell a story. Ask them to share anecdotes. Avoid yes or no questions. You want them to open up. Make sure to record and transcribe the entire interview. As you review their answers on paper or on your computer, highlight the best quotes.
Observe your subject in their environment. When you’re writing a profile of somebody, you need to spend time with them on their turf. Your profile piece should capture them in their environment and allow readers to see their world. If you’re writing about a musician, you might meet them at home but also go to the studio with them to watch how they compose a song. Make several trips to become acquainted with your subject—it might take a lot of time for them to let their guard down and be themselves around you.
Start with a strong lede. As you gather your information and write your profile, you must start strong. Your opening line and paragraph, otherwise known as your lede, needs to capture the reader’s attention. You’re setting the scene for your article and creating a first impression of this person, so make sure you hook your readers from the start.
Incorporate direct quotes. While you’re crafting this piece with your own words, you need to show your subject’s point of view. Quote them extensively in this piece. As a general rule of thumb, try to use a few quotes for every topic you cover in the profile. It can be a good idea to let your subject have the last word and end with a quote. On top of the subject’s quotes, you’ll be interviewing others who know this person, like friends, family, and associates. Their stories can contribute interesting information to your piece.
Tell a story. Like any other piece you write, good profiles have a beginning, middle, and end. Use a narrative writing style. Use descriptive language. Your subject is your main character, so develop them for your reader. Include any interesting tidbits and background information about their life, like obstacles they’ve overcome. This will help illustrate what motivates them.
Reveal new information. Write a unique, great profile that gives the reader fascinating takeaways about the person. If you’re writing about someone famous, they’ve most likely been interviewed before. Find additional information that hasn’t been published that makes them more compelling to your readers and gives your story a unique approach. If you’ve crafted great questions, you’ll be able to uncover fascinating information about your subject’s life.
Show, don’t tell. Many profile articles will include the writer’s experience of meeting their subject and conducting the interview. In that case, you’ll write the story in first person, including yourself in the narrative. Describe the experience using sensory details of the person and their environment. Capture what the person is like in real life to let readers feel like they know this person.
Examples of a Professional Bio
Here are a few short professional bio examples that work to establish the writer’s credentials and paint a picture of their professional identity:
Marketing bio: Sylvia Johnson has served as the director of marketing at Hardy & Jones International for four years. Previously, she ran the communications department at Marketing Incorporated and coordinated a team of copywriters at The ABC-Scribe Organization. She has a master’s degree in business administration from Great University and still cheers on its basketball team. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and photography.
Arts and entertainment bio: Adam O’Hare has a bachelor’s degree in art history from Great University. During his studies, he completed a one-year internship at the Museum of Art, where he led guided tours and spent time designing an all-new organization system for the archives. When he’s not enjoying works of art, you can find him at home spending time with his two dogs, Rembrandt and Picasso. Adam can be reached at ______________.com.
Entrepreneur bio: My name is Rachel Smith, and when I was four years old, my mother found me sneaking Brie cheese out of the fridge—it’s safe to say that I’ve always been passionate about good food. I went on to work as a sous chef in several Houston-area restaurants before getting my master’s degree in food science. After many years of cooking and eating in the city, I became frustrated that there wasn’t a reliable place to shop for high-quality ingredients near my home. That’s why I founded Rachel’s Food Company, an organization dedicated to helping you find the top-shelf ingredients you need in the kitchen.

Hi, this is perfectly fine! Here are some tips and notes from a couple of sources I found. So it depends on where you're posting/using your author introduction to help you determine how formal you want to be, what types of information you'll include etc. Definitely look at examples of your favourite writers' own author profiles as well to give you more ideas. All the best with creating your intro!

I would like to make a small update to my previous post, I have seen your messages in the inbox and I will definitely reply to them, but I would like to clarify the whole situation and let you understand exactly what upset me so much.
Firstly, I have decided that when I publish my next full-length story, I will provide you with a screenshot of the activity for the first or second day after publication, so that you can understand how things usually work and why this situation has become so unpleasant for me. I'm always very honest with you bunnies, and it's not that I want super popularity or anything like that, I'm just confused by the number of bunnies on the blog and the level of activity, I also want to understand what's going on and how to improve it.
Secondly, one of the most unpleasant factors was that I give my bunnies a lot of freedom in choosing MCs. For example, I'll do a poll or ask for your opinion on a storyline, and I'll end up writing a story that matches your wishes, and of course it upsets me when I don't get any feedback. It's embarrassing because I've literally done what you asked, but the engagement is almost zero compared to when I choose the MC myself. For example, for my last story I had Wooyoung as the MC, but I chose Yunho because the bunnies preferred him.
Also, I know it always comes down to Seonghwa because Hwa has his own temple here, and I know that if I changed the MC in this story from Yunho to Hwa and the velvety purring "Angel", it would skyrocket.
I want all the bunnies to find their favourite story on my blog, and that's why I want to write for different members. I like variety and I can give so much to my bunnies, create the most diverse and unimaginable worlds for you, and all this is only possible if you let me.
And thirdly, I know that many bunnies are embarrassed to leave comments or write to me personally, or even send requests to my inbox, so the only thing I can focus on is the number of "hearts" left by bunnies. Like any other author on the platform, I want to interact, communicate or be friends with my bunnies. Every author wants their work to be showered with praise and love, especially when I put so much effort into it.
I am a perfectionist, literally crazy about it, and each of my stories is literally rewritten more than 5-8 times before you see it on the blog. Even the banner, I want to create the most ideal and appropriate, choose the colour scheme to perfection. This is abnormal, I know, but I am used to living this way. Either I'm the best or I move on and don't waste my time.
So I hope I have been able to explain why I was upset and that we can interact and understand each other better.

Dear Fanfic Lovers,
We're fully aware that tumblr's searching system is far from ideal, even though we try our best to create an extensive fanfiction library for you where you can always find anything you fancy, however niche it may be, but we're continuously looking for ways to make your experience as smooth as possible. 🖤
Here are a few tricks to help you navigate through the blog (you can also find this in our Navigation post, under 𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗦) and a few miscellaneous tips for writers as well.
If you have any needs these functions don't offer a solution to, or you know another useful hack that could enhance the experience on this blog, let us know!
FOR WRITERS
✦ some tricks and tips on how to reach your audience
If you feel like you can't quite reach readers with your story, please don't blame yourself! Tumblr is sometimes the creators' enemy, you just need to know a few things you can use to your advantage! Apart from the tips there's also a heartfelt message from the lovely @undercoverpena as well! 🖤 Pedrostories is here for you!
✦ how to add a gif to your work crediting the gifmaker
If you're a fanfic writer and you would like to insert a gif in your work while properly crediting the gifmaker, here's an easy to follow guide to use tumblr's image insert feature. Important: If you reupload a gif, even though you credit them in your post, someone else might find that gif later, using the image insert feature and it might credit you as the gifmaker instead of the original creator.
This is how it looks like in the notifications when someone uses a gif you uploaded:
Tumblr media
And this is how it gives credit to the person who uploaded the gif:
Tumblr media
FOR READERS
And now here are a few tips about how to find any work that caters to your needs on our blog:
✦ tags: here you can find our most used tags based on the length, rating, main characters of the stories, and some other important tags, like tropes as well
✦ writers' masterlist: here you can find all the writers in the pedro fandom. The list is continuously updated, please let us know if someone is missing!
✦ blacklisting tags: curate your own experience! We tag every story based on the author's notes and warnings, and if we have the capacity to read the piece, with our own tags. If there’s a character/trope/dynamic/etc. you would like to avoid, you can easily blacklist tags on tumblr.
✦ tag finder: this is the best way to search tumblr’s tag system - it actually accurately looks through the tags without omitting results. (source)
✦ blog searching tricks and tips: if you’re on desktop/browser and you're looking for an exact word, here are some easy ways to find the post you're looking for!
✦ all the tags we've ever used: This is a super simple and incredibly useful script by Benjamin Horn which you can use to find Every. Single. Tag. we've ever used on the blog, and if you click on the results it will take you back to the blog, listing all the posts with that tag! Here's how to use it:
Open the link (duh), type in the blog's name on the top left corner, and click on Load tags.
Tumblr media
2. It might take a few minutes for the results to load, so be patient 🧘‍♀️
Tumblr media
3. Voilá! You can click on any of the tags and it will take you back to the blog, listing all the posts with that tag!
Tumblr media
That's it for now! Again, if you have any needs these functions don't offer a solution to, or you know another useful hack that could enhance the experience on this blog, let us know!
Happy reading! 🖤

My
My Creepypasta hair headcanons no one asked for because I *just* made this blog
[This is my first post so just a couple characters, I take requests !! also I'll make X reader if i feel like i can represent the character authenticity !!]
Eyeless jack
HE IS A BLACK BRITISH GOTH.
I think his hair would be a bit past shoulder length, probably in locs or twists.
Maybe a bit grown out but I think he'd perfer it like that, since yk organ harvesting with freshly retwisted hair isn't exactly ideal.
Also hair jewelry?? I think he'd prefer something metal n sturdy, something that can withstand the wear and tear of his hunts with out breaking. (Yes I've been affected by that one fanart of ej with locs and hair jewelry)
I think he has a habit of wearing his hair infront of his face to hide his eyes, I think his eyes in particular are something he's especially sore about. However if he needs to I think he'd tie back his hair with a scrunchy into a ponytail or a high bun.
His hair probably just smells earthy I guess?? I don't think he'd really have BO since he's at least partially demon. I think he'd just smell like actual dirt or soil, or maybe rubbing alcohol if he's been doing surgical junk.
Nina Hopkins
Let me start this off by saying that in my AU she is Afro Venezuelan, because A) @/seireitonin on tt has the coolest cosplay of her, so that imprinted on my verson of Nina. And B) the orginal creator of NTK is Venezuelan (or at least lives in Venezuela from what I know), and since no ethnic or racial background was mentioned in her original story I think of her as Venezuelan by default. :33
I think when her hair wasn't straightened it'd be in colorful goddess braids or soft locs, probably styled with a deep side part like most scene and emo hair.
TONS of hair accessories.
Owns clip on raccoon tails in every color you can think of, the black stripes drawn in with sharpie.
I think once she matured she's since abandoned a ponytail as her main style and has her hair down more often. Other than killer activities or if she wants her hair out of the way.
Her hair is a bit heat damaged, all that styling with a flat iron and no heat protectant starts to effect you after a while, but you only live once right?? That's what Nina thinks anyway :33
Her hair probably smells like got2Bglued hairspray or some mix of hair products and her perfume.
Jeffery Woods
Nasty, greasy, fithy, matte-
Let's just say he doesn't beat the greasy haired metal head stereotype.
I think his neglection of his hair is partly because of his mental illness, and also because he genuinely just doesn't care about his appearance past his carved smile and how intimidating he looks (or that's at least what he says). Chosing not to dive into how insecure I think he really is though !!
I think he'd complain about his hair getting in his face but doesnt use most hair ties/accessories because he thinks they're "too girly". He has a bad habit of using regular rubber bands in his hair and they rip or beak his hair off.
His hair is matted in certain sections (me too Jeff, me too) and between the lack of consistent water sources and horrible personal hygiene in general, his hair doesn't smell the best. I think if he isn't living in the mansion (which I headcanon a lot of the creeps squat in other places, since being in the mansion means being closer to slenderman so more work + fights w other creeps other for space.) then he'd just shower in a victims home if he really wanted to.
Request junk n I'll probably do it !!
Jeff dyes his hair black and it is so incredibly damaged, he misses spots when dying and if you get up close you can see it.
Has had the same brush since he was a teenager (no emotional attachment he just thinks the brush makes no difference anyway) and refuses to spend money to get a new one becuase "this one still works"
[The rest in the Comments so it's not too crowded]

Reflection Before Examination
Howdy. Long time no talk. This is my second gamer blog post, further solidifying my resolution to actually use this. I think it's healthier to write long form compositions than 180-240 character posts. It's not supposed to be eye-catching, succinct, or concise. At least, it's not meant to be more concise than necessary per platform limitations. Bring back blogging.
So this week I'm leaving for BOBC7. Very exciting stuff. It's been forever since I competed in a major (I went to Genesis but just for Sunday Top 8). I always find myself apprehensive before majors. These are the ones where you really want to do well. It's a bigger bracket. You're playing people from different regions. This. Matters. MORE. But the catch is that you're not supposed to think like this at all while you're actually playing your sets. Ideally you play like you're at your local, or better yet like you're in your room. It can be a little stressful to prepare for something seemingly so important while trying to treat it like a walk in the park.
Personally, I'm finding myself more engaged in Melee than ever before. I put aside pride and my aversion to corniness and I actually listened to all of The Inner Game of Tennis on the drive down to California last month. I enjoyed it so much I went ahead and listened to it again on the drive back. I think there is something for any melee player to gain from reading it, but it has one interesting caveat. The main idea of the book is that reaching competitive excellence requires taking your ego out of the equation and letting your body and mind do their thing. It goes on at length to defend this point and I think by the end of the book it has made a tremendous case. The catch is that the process of getting out of your own way, turning off your ego, letting yourself be free, etc. is different for every single person. There is no prescribed method for quieting the little voice in your head. It's something you just have to internalize one day at a time. But I think it's real and I think I understand that the best I can do is just keep it in mind.
I don't have too much planned for actual preparation beyond UnclePunch and some friendlies. I don't think there really is a lot you can do less than a week before a major. Instead of thinking about how I'm going to place I find myself more concerned with how I am going to play. Which I think is a good sign. I think the scene is so good right now that I could play my absolute best and still go 1-2 if my opponents are as good as me. That doesn't make me a bad player. I guess it is possible that something unexpected occurs and I play horrible (sometimes you eat a torta with extra habanero sauce the night before bracket and almost shit yourself while playing in pools). It's also possible I play horrible for no reason at all. I am choosing to not consider this possibility beyond accepting it as real. I've been practicing a lot of different matchups. I've been working on my mentality. I'm hoping to see some sort of yield for my efforts :)
If you're going to BOBC7, how are you feeling about it? Are you excited to play? Just want to chill with friends and experience Vancouver? Whatever it is, I hope you get what you want.

9 10 16 please? :D (cwsg, i’m sorry)
aye aye cap'n 🫡 under the cut for length
9. worst part of canon
I think it has to be Mon-El, who is so very terrible that even now he is stealing my ability to kvetch about other things. ...Luckily, this is my blog, so I can do what I want. So the other worst part of canon was the demonization and eventual murder of Manchester Black at J'onn's hands in the same season that saw James cozying up to the Children of Liberty (WHY) and the Superfriends insisting that killing them (the neo-Nazi analogues), even to prevent them from killing their marginalized alien targets, was Wrong and Bad.
(Crisis on Earth-X was pretty bad, too. Not sure how it didn't occur to any of the higher-ups that putting their heroes in Nazi uniforms in order to make them ~Cool Villains~ was maybe kind of a super fucking antisemitic thing to do.)
10. worst part of fanon
I was sorely tempted to just answer this with "el problema es el racismo," but thinking on it further that is technically the worst part of fandom, whereas fanon is generally understood to mean (a) post-colonial Marxist philosopher Frantz Fanon or (b) fan-constructed canon, i.e. headcanons that have become popular and widely accepted by many people in a fandom (sometimes to the point where people mistakenly believe that these headcanons are canon). I've already talked about my problems with the "Kara is a genius"/"Krypton is Advanced™ and Earth is Primitive™" take, as well as the "Lena never really cared about James" take; other popular fanon ideas I can't stand include "Clark is an asshole" (no >:( I like Clark), "J'onn is Alex and Kara's space dad" (citation needed), and "Eliza Danvers is the best mom ever" (when, lest we forget, Alex's whole Deal is a direct result of her Not being the best mom ever lol). Um...there's probably more but to be honest I'm blanking on what they would be.
16. you can’t understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
Hm, well, I could talk about general fanfic tropes I don't get but I prefer to stay fandom-specific in order to maximize damage from my biting and maiming. So I'll just expand on what I commented on your earlier post: I don't understand the appeal of the trope where Kara shows Lena Disney movies or imparts upon her the True Meaning of Christmas and thus transforms her life from one of forever sadness to one of joyful bliss. I'm not saying I don't like fics where Kara's presence in Lena's life improves her life -- ideally, I would imagine that both of them improve each other's lives. But the specific trope of "OMG, Lena had an abnormally wealthy and abusive childhood and thus has never done [normative thing for American (Christian) children to do that there is no canon evidence she hasn't done and also that is not necessary for healthy childhood psychological development], we must rectify this immediately!!!" baffles me.

Post# 1: The Who - My Generation (1965)
Tumblr media
Hello there. This is the first post of a new blog I'm doing called First Impressions, which looks at the debut records of musicians and bands I like. Today's post is on My Generation by The Who. I personally love this record. It's The Who at their most raw and unpolished on record, and represents a snapshot of a time before they became one of the biggest bands in the world, when they were just a rowdy bunch of bastards who violently destroyed their equipment on stage and dressed in pop art clothing.
Tumblr media
Even at this early stage, Townshend was already proving himself to be one of the best songwriters in rock and music in general. Despite many of the songs being love songs, Townshend was able to explore the topic of romance in a way that was complex and nuanced. Whereas most of the songs of the era presented love in an idealized manner, Townshend's songs portrayed love as messy and complicated. The songs also do a great job at capturing the adolescent angst and identity issues that many young people(or more specifically young men) were dealing with at the time and the album manages to stand the test of time because of that.
Tumblr media
Another thing I love about this album is that has a harder-edged gritty sound that was unusual for the time and was very much a precursor to genres like punk and heavy metal. At the same time, you also can hear hints of where the band was heading musically and lyrically with the more poppier tracks (leading to the creation of the power pop genre) as well as It's Not True and A Legal Matter displaying a wittier and sardonic side to the band that would become much more prominent in the 1966-68 period.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also dig the album cover. It seems like a subversion of the Please Please Me cover. Whereas that cover depicts The Beatles smiling warmly down at you, this cover instead depicts The Who glaring up at you, looking as though they're ready to kick your ass at a moment's notice. It perfectly captures the sentiment of the lyrics and the aggression of the music.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've seen some criticism about the album's production, particularly how rough it sounds compared to other records at the time, but I think that's a part of its charm. Talmy's dirty, almost amateurish production very much enhances the sheer raw power of the early Who. It's comparable to albums like Here Comes The Sonics, Kick Out The Jams, and The Stooges' self-titled debut.
Tumblr media
For me, my only criticisms are that the R&B covers are weak and they kinda bring down the quality of the record. In general, I'm not a fan of covers but if they really needed covers, they had much stronger covers in the can they could have used like Daddy Rolling Stone, Motoring, and Leaving Here. Also, Roger clearly struggles with some of the poppier material. Despite this, this is still one of my favorite debut records.
Tumblr media
Favorite track: The Good's Gone (specifically the full length version)
Least favorite: Please Please Please

Laws For The Lawless {RULES}
Read these before interacting! Please know that if I feel uncomfortable with ANY interaction, I will speak ONCE with you privately, and if the behavior persists, I will block you.
1. No romantic interactions if there isn't established chemistry! I will not force ships/relationships with immediate interaction, there has to be build up and at least SOME planning between admins before initiating a relationship! To that end, romantic partnerships that form cannot be solely for writing NSFW content. Romance and sex are not interchangeable, and it makes me very uncomfortable for a writing partner to only want to write sexual content.
2. Content Warning for several triggering subjects! I can and will tag everything that is potentially triggering, but I also will not shy away from darker subject matter! This includes, but is not limited to -
Blood, gore, canon-typical violence, body horror, supernatural horror, PTSD, self-harm, disordered eating habits, description or discussion of body augmentation, death, guns/weapons, explosives, use of torture, kidnapping/hostage situations, unhealthy coping mechanisms, unhealthy relationships, physical/mental/sexual/domestic abuse, substance abuse, parental abuse/neglect, themes of religion/religious imagery, characters with past instances of CSA, characters with mental illnesses, fantasy racism, internalized homophobia, gaslighting, mentions/discussions of grooming, victim blaming, situations of noncon/dubcon*, nonconsensual recording, sex work/prostitution, and dehumanization.
* Note - I absolutely will NOT write out explicit noncon scenarios, but they may be alluded to or referenced.
I will try my best to not only tag these triggers but also discuss triggers before writing with you, but if any of these subjects make you uncomfortable, I’d advise you not to interact!
3. In addition to the potentially triggering topics that I feel comfortable writing with, there are a few topics that are very triggering to me, and should be avoided at all times. Use of these topics will result in an INSTANT BLOCK.
Discussion of parent death
Graphic/detailed depictions of hospital settings (unless previously discussed and deemed plot relevant BEFORE your reply is posted)
Use of inaccurate medical terms with regards to mental illnesses (especially the “scary” ones that people frequently misunderstand)
4. Don’t rush replies, please! I have anxiety and my writing spoons fluctuate all the time. Even if we are discussing the RP in DMs and plotting the story, I might not have the ability to put those story beats down into words that I’m proud to post. I write for fun, and it becomes immediately not fun if I’m being pressured into fast responses.
5. If you want to use an OC to RP, please tell me about them! Ideally, I would like an image of your character/their face claim and a written bio (any length is fine, can be a few sentences or a few paragraphs!), as well as their dynamic/relation to my character.
Note: Next-Gen characters or characters that are family to any of my characters need to be discussed before writing can begin to see if I can comfortably adapt to their existence!
6. My characters most likely will have some canon divergence. I will update my Headcanon Lists to make sure that all character information is up to date and accurate as more source content is released and (occasionally) reframed.
7. NO MINORS, PLEASE. I have nothing against minors using rp to develop their writing skills. Hell, that’s how I developed my writing skills when I was younger. However, this is an 18+ blog which will contain various types of adult content. RPing with minors in ANY context makes me uncomfortable, and I will confirm your age BEFORE starting to write with you. If I follow you and you are a minor, please tell me so that I may unfollow.
8. No IRL issues brought into RP, please! I use writing as a coping mechanism to escape from the harsher realities of the world right now. I do not want to talk real world politics, and I will not tolerate hate speech of any kind here.
9. I am not someone who has Exclusives! I'm happy to write with duplicates and if you do not want my muses interacting with doubles of yours please tell me via DMs; I will be more than happy to figure something out with you!
10. If you’ve read and accept these rules, please say Glowstick Juice in the notes or shoot me a DM!

I've been running this blog for a year now, with 400+ memes posted, so I thought I'd just share my meme making process for anyone that may be interested!
I watch a lot of media. My current job works with television, so it pays to familiarise myself with as much content as possible. Plus, I'm a sucker for detective shows, especially older ones. So, I watch a lot of media, and while I watch, I note down any interesting sentences that I think could work well as a rp meme. Everything goes into a google sheets tracker I made.
Tumblr media
My requirements for taking lines from sources are that they must be lines I can imagine starting and interesting thread, and they mustn't be overly genetic (e.g. "Hi, how are you?"). Generic is fine as long as it provides some kind of direction still (e.g. "This isn't a game" could be an argument, a warning, concern, etc). Sometimes I'll also tweak lines to work better for rp - e.g. "He's going to need to rest for a few days" -> "You're going to need to rest for a few days."
Once I've got a lot of lines, I go through them all again to double check for ones that don't work, then I move them to my theme tracker.
Tumblr media
I tick boxes for what themes the lines can work for. For less common themes (e.g. aliens), I have a section at the end of the tracker where I can manually add extra themes, then a count of them on another page.
Tumblr media
Every few months, I go through and make memes out of anything with ~30+ lines. I aim to keep them all ~30 in length, ideally no shorter than 25, no longer than ~40. The only exception is the Questioning memes, which are made from any lines that are question, thus fill up quickly. I go up to 50 for those.
I then use a formula to add speech marks to the lines I'm using, throw them into a list randomiser, and then separate them out into multiple memes if needed. Back in my tracker, I change their ticks to grey so they aren't included in the active count anymore, but I can still find them if I need to see what I've used in the past.
Shows with 25+ lines get their own meme too, and if it needs to be split into multiple memes, they also get a Condensed version at the end. This is where I've pulled out the best/most relevant lines for the show into one, shorter meme.
If they don't have 25+ lines, they get ticked as Assorted, and they go to an Assorted Media meme.
Originals are ticked as Original. I only add them to the theme tracker if they can be used for other themes too.
As of writing this, there are 6.4k lines in my tracker, and 185 waiting to be added.
It isn't a short process, but it's not the worse either. I spend about two evenings every other month caterogrising lines and creating memes. This usually results in 40-60 posts for the queue.
Things I wish I'd done differently:
Adding more robust tracking for smaller themes (currently I don't have a way of tracking which I've historically used once their meme is made)
Things I would like to do, but would take too much effort for the amount they'd be used:
A fliterable list of every show/film with a specific meme
A meme randomiser where you can tick which themes/genres you want memes from, and then it shows you a random one
A meme randomiser where it has all my theme tracking data, and then makes you a unique meme. E.g. you ask for an angry meme, so it randomly gives you 30 lines from the 700+ angry ones I have in my tracker
If you read all this, I hope it was interesting! 😅

ABOUT THIS BLOG
Independent multimuse role-play blog featuring tricksters from various fandoms, written by Pirate.
MUSES
(Links with further details on these muses pending)
Quickfire rules:
Highly selective for RP, nigh private due to time constraints.
Asks can be sent in by anyone and will be replied to whenever I get chance but any intended as a proper role-play starter will need to be discussed first unless you’re already one of my partners.
I will only write with over 18’s. We do not have to write adult content but it does feature on this blog. I have special tags for NSFW, please see the NSFW section below. I also use the community filter system for mature content.
If you wish to write with me, please read my full rules, long though they are.
Be kind. Life's too short.
[XI's Timeline Info] He is a chronologically locked blog so everything that happens to him in all threads is canon everywhere.
Thread Tracker: To be added when it's ready (this can be seen on my old Loki blog at present for just his threads)
Detailed rules and info on how I run my blog below the cut.
Blog background by honeypsd
Main Rules - They’re long but informative!
I am a highly selective blog. I will be very, very choosy on who I write with simply due to limited time and wanting to give my few partners better attention. I promise I’m not scary, just super busy. Anyone is welcome to approach me to ask if I would like to write with them but my intake is extremely small so if I haven't followed you back the chances are slim at this time. Whilst I like to be as honest as possible, if I do not wish to role-play with you (whether for now or ever and for whatever reason) I will say 'no thank you' or some other means of declining. Please do not ask me why or I will have to block you, which I hate having to do, but we do not owe each other explanations as to why we're not wishing to engage.* Be kind to yourself, we're all just humans doing our thing and finding who fits us best.
I can take up to a few weeks to reply at most, but if you like quickfire same-day responses I’m not the partner for you**. I work 40+ hours a week, have personal writing hobbies, a husband and cats who don’t get nearly enough attention, and occasionally a social life. I’m also a games addict. These being the reasons for my extreme selectivity. I want to write here with a few lovely peeps but that’s all I have time to squeeze in.
With my thread tracker, I generally go round each partner in turn before going round again, but on some occasions I’ll indulge in whatever has my mood or do a bit of catch-up on older threads. I'm a creature of routine so typically I'll try to do two replies every day Monday to Thursday.
I’m over 30 years of age. My pronouns are she/her. I won’t engage in adult content with anyone under the age of 18 or, ideally, 21 depending on your country’s consent laws.
I have a main Thor for my Lokis, and one other lovely partner, however I am looking for one who will write Thorki. I have an exclusive Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel). I have an exclusive Gale Dekarios for Astarion.
Have fun and be gentle with one another. I loathe call-out culture or telling people what they can and can’t write. I am strongly anti-censorship (but do believe in tagging!). This does mean occasionally I will write topics not to everyone’s taste. If you can dig that and blacklist what you don’t fancy, I hope you’ll find me pretty easygoing. I’m open to exploring all sorts of things. If you’re just here for the fandom posts, then welcome and I hope you enjoy!
Play Style/Guidelines
I am happy role-playing in both past and present tense. Length of posts vary depending on the situation, usually a couple of paragraphs, but I sometimes have shorter ones/one-liners if a fight scene or argument is taking place or if I want to mess around with some !crack posting.
Asks are welcomed and I usually answer all of these but I reserve the right to choose not to continue one intended as a thread depending on my time/muse. If you want to be sure if I’m taking something on, please feel free to message me. If continuing a thread from an ask, I will move it to a new thread and tag you as tumblr starts to make things look weird on the blog even using the new beta. If I get a lot of asks from one person in a short space of time I may not answer them all. Similarly, if you send me something I find to be baiting, trollish, or I have no clue how to answer it, it’ll be deleted.
If I need to drop an established thread for any reason, I will usually drop by your IMs and let you know. Please respect my need to do this just as I will always accommodate if you need to stop something of mine. If you have not replied to something for more than 3-5 months and I decide I want to drop it, I will likely not contact you about it. It’s perfectly ok if it got lost so do get in contact if you’d like to pick it up again or start something new.
Please don’t be afraid to contact me about a thread if you tagged me in something and have not had a first response within a couple of weeks. It may be that Tumblr feed failed to tell me or I got overexcited about something (including that very thing) and forgot to track it.
I am not strictly ‘mutuals only’, especially as that makes it difficult for sideblogs and sometimes I may enjoy playing with a person but I’m not into a lot of what’s on their blog. Contrarily, I also sometimes follow people who I have enjoyed playing with in the past but don’t currently thread with or those whose content I enjoy but I’m not up for interaction. If you do not want me to interact with you, please fully block me. I will not ask you why. I want you to be comfortable and I can’t guarantee I’ll remember who is who if we didn’t know one another well, it’s been a while and/or you’ve changed your url or the content of your blog.
Regarding OC’s, I do play with some, however I have a strong preference for canons or canon-diverged simply because I find it easier to immerse myself in a world I know about and engage with muses with which I’m familiar. If I had more time on my hands I would love to get to know these lovely creations in more depth but I’m even more selective when it comes to them. If you have a canon muse playing with me then you get an automatic pass for my muses to meet your OC if I feel suited to them. NB: Since cutting down to very limited partners, it is very unlikely now I will write with a new OC partner unless I have got to know you via other means/you’re friends with a mutual.
NSFW (particularly adult content/smut etc.)
I do write content that is not suitable for under 18’s/under 21’s, typically of a sexual nature. Tumblr in its infinite wisdom and purity entirely hides anything tagged ‘nsfw’ so I do not use this tag as it stops my thread partners from finding our stuff at all. I now ensure that all adult content is tagged appropriately and under the mature content filters so you can filter it out. If, however, you have something more specific you’d like to avoid, I use the following tags you may blacklist:
lokisinner - in place of ‘nsfw’ on Loki's posts
filthy pirate - in place of 'nsfw' on Jack's posts
naughty memes - in place of ‘nsfw memes’
lemon - threads where a story has progressed to something fully sexual
grapefruit - threads with sex that is beyond vanilla (I arbitrarily use this)
dubcon tw - threads involving dubious consent
noncon tw - threads involving noncon/rape (rare and always discussed prior)
Shipping
Laying it down with the honesty here, I love shipping. If I’m writing with your muse, chances are I’m interested in shipping (if your muse isn’t specifically a canon friend or family member or a minor). It’s not 100% the case, but it’s a huge part of what I enjoy exploring or working towards.
A further confession I have about this is I am very visual and mun-based about what my muses are interested in. If I personally have an attraction to your muse, it’s easier for me to write them having an interest. I also prefer canon FC’s purely because it’s easier for my mind to immerse in the established canon. So, if you have an alternate FC, I’m not into your muse, or you have it in your rules that you’re not much into shipping, this may put me off following back.
That said, I will ship with chemistry worked out between us. My favourite ships are frostiron, strangefrost, bloodweave, and thorki, so I am happy to pre-establish those.
I am Thorki friendly. This ship will be tagged with ‘incest tw’ if it is a verse where they are brothers. If it’s an AU where this is not the case, I will only tag it ‘thorki’, and even then only when shipping is occurring. My #god bros tag is technically a Thorki tag in disguise. I am also Sylki and Lokicest friendly.
Triggery/Squick stuff
Things on my no list are scat kinks, Mpreg and A/B/O. I don’t mind you playing them with other people if those are your thing, they’re just not mine. I also do not like excessive/detailed gore but my only actual ‘trigger’ is something I will discuss with you if your character brings it up. It’s so specific that I won’t detail it here and it’s not your responsibility to protect me from it.
Most other things are otherwise on the cards. I will roleplay NSFW and will tag it as such when it happens. I will do dub-con if requested or non-con if there is a reason for it/we are comfortable and have discussed the situation.
On Drama
As mentioned up top, I despise call-outs and censorship. Wherever possible I desire to avoid unnecessary squawking and mob-like behaviour. If you engage in too much drama (regardless of whose fault it is) I will unfollow you and/or cease playing with you. I’m not here for it. I loathe passive aggression and vague-blogging but I understand we’re only human and allow a few slip-ups now and again, particularly as I’m liable to have been guilty of it once or twice.
If you have a problem with someone I write with, I will thank you not to associate that with me unless by my own words I’m advocating something. Until I see evidence of something with my own eyes, that is when I form my opinions. Don’t police who I write with and I won’t do so with you. Unless I genuinely believe someone is at risk of harm I will not tell anyone not to play with someone, regardless of my own experience. We all behave differently with one another and we’re allowed to grow. If you cannot accept my viewpoint on this then we are not suitable for each other.
*Although as above I don’t owe explanations as to why I don’t want to follow or write with someone, I know how frustrating it is not having answers. Here are some reasons why that might not be the case, but this won’t be a catch-all.
• I’m not interested in the muse or interpretation of the muse • Don’t currently have capacity • Don’t feel style of writing meshes with mine • I disagree with something on the rules page • Too much drama, negativity, or self-deprecating/excusing ooc • Keep changing blogs and/or dropping threads without coming to me to pick them back up or plot something new • Unmanageable expectations • Seeming to want things from me but giving back so rarely if ever that the partnership doesn't work • Blog expresses negativity about something intrinsic and important to my blog or my own values (e.g. hates Thor Ragnarok/repeatedly slags off the British – I can slag my own country off, thanks/policing fictional concepts and characters)
**If you are a role-player who only writes quickfire, on-dash immediate role-play and won’t continue a thread after that day or even anything up to the next couple of weeks, we won’t be able to keep a partnership unfortunately. I am happy to answer the odd ask for fun, play a few dash commentaries here and there to spice things up, but when it comes to a serious story I can’t do them on a short-term basis. I like to take time to build up relationships and play for the long haul as best as possible. We can absolutely wind down a thread, cut one short or skip ahead, but if we’re to keep writing together I need something intended to be continuous. My muses and I feel like energy is wasted if we keep having to restart and refresh with a partner.
In a similar vein, I will likely not keep playing with role-players who do frequent thread junking. If you’re a person who likes to refresh all your stories, drop everything and start again, that’s grand and I’m glad it works for you because we don’t all play the same way, but it won’t suit me. If you’re someone who does this but really values playing with me, then I would ask you to keep in contact/message me and ideally start a new thread that keeps the background we’ve already established or to chat with me about what else you’d like to do. I won’t chase after people and it’s not fair to make me do the hard work. Thanks for understanding and no worries if this means I’m not suitable for you!

Your blog has been a safe place for me. I’m really grateful to you. I feel ashamed that I’m not a gold star lesbian. I tried so hard to be with guys back in high school and make it work. And people were shocked when I came out because I was “boy crazy”. It always felt so wrong and something profoundly missing. Not only that but negative experiences with males, wether I was with them or not. So I thought, maybe I just don’t like boys because they are mean and I haven’t found the right one yet. But it never worked. I thought, surely I must be attracted to boys because I like gay fanfiction. I must be bi right? Because cartoon anime boys are just like real men of course. And being from the rural south, homosexuality would get you hated at worst and at best you’d be made fun of. It kills me that I feel like I wasted my time. Accepting myself for who I am, and what I really am truly attracted to, is scary as hell. But I tried to imagine myself married to a man and it just made me want to throw up. But being with a woman seemed so much more natural and right. I’m out and grateful to be here. I feel so much less alone and free. I feel ashamed that I ever fell into comphet (I think is what it’s called)? Not sure how to get past it :( I wish I could go back in time to young me and tell her it’s ok to be gay. But thank you for your blog. I check it every day and it always cheers me up. Also Tiana is the best.
Firstly, I am incredibly grateful and glad that my blog makes you feel safe. <3 Thank you for the love.
But in relation to your shame about not being a “gold star lesbian”, I think there are some things worth keeping in mind. Specifically in relation to my personal blog, since I have had public and private asks who’ve expressed a certain envy that I am so open about who I am in comparison to how long it took them. And it is this: I grew up in California – arguably the most liberal state in the United States. I also grew up around a family that was more concerned with my grades than my sexual orientation (when I came out to my mom, she literally said, “You’re still going to college, right?”). I was allowed to be a tomboy growing up not just with permission from my family but from the culture of my state that really just didn’t care.
In any sort of “controversial” opinion I make about personal choice, I always do my best to preface this with these facts. Because where you grow up and what culture has done its best to mold you into its intended/ideal shape. I reblogged a post from @lesbienyu where she talked about how a lot of progressive areas in the U.S. have this illusion that hyper-religiousness only exists in southern boondocks (people seem to generally tie it strictly to the south). And there is this part:
Tumblr media
(The whole post is very insightful, and I encourage people to go read it.)
I do my best to reblog and really read perspectives from other women that I can't relate with because it might resonate more with a follower of mine and just gives me more rounded place to come from when I talk about things. And this is one of those things. I can't relate to this. I have never faced judgement based on my chosen religion or lack thereof.
So why am I saying all this? Why am I linking other posts and talking at length about all this? Because you and I come from very different worlds, anon. You come from the rural South and I'm suburban-ish/city-ish Californian. We were never going to have the same story of finding ourselves and that's okay! You existed in a space where who you were conflicted with your safety and your quality of life. I existed in one where it wasn't hated or celebrated - it just didn't matter.
I only hate that you had to traumatize yourself through no choice of your own. You are not shameful for succumbing to a system that came before you and will unfortunately outlive you. I want you to enjoy being out and enjoy coming here and seeing lesbian pride without shaming the little version of yourself that was just trying to survive as best she could. She'll be glad what she grew up into . <3

for the fic writees ask, 49? (im reading a galling yoke so i hope youll talk about the next chapter 😂😂) and also 15 33 and 41 bc im curios
What’s your favourite AU that you’ve written?
My best AUs are for Philinda lol. My favourite is Committed to the Cause, a POTUS/USSS one with Coulson as the president and May as his head of security.
If you write chaptered fics, what’s your ideal chapter length to write? Is it different from your ideal chapter length to read?
My ideal chapter length to write is 4–7k, which is also about my ideal chapter length to read. Maybe my reading ideal is on the shorter end, so more like 3–5k, but gfhjsgdhs that’s not too big a difference.
Link a fic that made you think, “Wow, I want to write like that.”
There are a few that come to mind. The main ones are literally anything by @indilwenofmirkwood (but especially What Makes Her Tick, which can be read here on AO3 and here on FFN) and Kismet by @midnightlovestories (can be read here on AO3) for how they developed plot/romance, analysed my comfort character, and got some whumpy goodness snuck in there. The former is for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. while the latter is for The Addams Family.
Feel for You by @parksanddownton603 (can be read here on AO3) made me fall in love with a specific tone of AU and gave me the motivation to try my hand at writing an AU like they did (also for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). On the flipside, Defensive Wounds by @rebecca-in-blue (can be read here on FFN) is an in-universe fic but I greatly admire the characterisation in it and would love to know and honour my blorbos as well as they do. It’s for NCIS.
Another one for the Addamses, Human by @unhappychildhavingfun (can be read here on AO3) packs the kind of emotional, meaningful punch that I want my writing to throw. Though I also aspire to churn out numerous one-shots that just put my guys in situations the way @suallenparker does (if I must name particulars, the ones that affect me the most in this way have been Bulletproof, Lifeline, Safe and Sound, Liar, Mayism, Second Chances, and Being Someone Else, all for Philinda hfjsgdhhd).
And can’t play dead by @widespindriftgaze (can be read here on AO3) is…simply some of the best creative writing I’ve ever read. I love how they dabble in various, sometimes small/short-lived fandoms; I long to do that.
Welp, that was more than a few.
I hope the authors don’t mind being tagged—I wanted anyone who reads this post to be able to click onto your blog directly, but if you’d rather I not tag you, let me know and I’ll neutralise the ping right away. Sorry!!
(And of course, the one you’ve been waiting for, anon—)
What are you currently working on? Share a few lines if you’re up for it!
I am currently working (well, focusing) on A Galling Yoke, my Sherlock Holmes x Reader exes-/friends-to-lovers casefic. (It was actually supposed to be enemies-to-lovers lolol.) I’m like a third or so into Part 12, and I’ve got like seventeen chapters planned total plus an epilogue. Exciting stuff!!
And hey, you want a few lines? >:P
“No.”
“Mr Holmes, I cannot impose—”
“It shall not happen!”
You straightened in your seat, shoulders tensing. Sherlock groaned and dragged a hand down his face.
“I meant not to be…domineering,” he said. “But […] am I not to assume that you came here…for a reason?”
He and you looked at each other for a long, open moment.
I grabbed that out of the middle of a conversation for Maximum Suspense. I cut out […] because what I have written there currently is a bit of a placeholder. There was another part I wanted to share because it’s got a long quote from Arthur Conan Doyle’s “The Adventure of Charles Augustus Milverton”, but I figured that excerpt was a tad too spoilery. I’m sure you guys will prefer this romantic tension anyway. ;P
Thank you, and please feel free to send in more!

How to start a podcast- the podcast host
Part 1 l Part 2 l Part 3 l Part 4
The fifth article Sydney gave me is How to start a podcast- the podcast host. It was posted on January 3 of 2024, so it's pretty new!
1. The first thing the article talks about is something called a growth-ready podcast plan. It goes over four things in this section: why you're doing it, what you're talking about, who you're talking to, and why people should listen.
A) Purpose - why?
Marketing? To network with like-minded people? Teach? Entertain? Just because?
B) Topic- what?
What makes you the best person to make this podcast? What will you be talking about?
C) Who is your audience?
Build a 'listener persona' or ideal listener and keep them in mind when you do everything podcast-related.
D) What makes your show unique?
The article includes further reading with a whole list of ideas.
2. Structure
The article includes further reading, with a list of options of formats, but this one includes pros and cons of popular ones.
It also covers length and schedule, the latter of which has further reading.
Episode titles are also covered in the article, also with further reading. It also covers whether you should do video, audio, or both.
3. Branding
Naming the podcast is first, with further reading. It covers the three camps- descriptive, creative, and personal name.
Music is up next, including a few sites on how to get it. I won't link them here because I don't know if the site gets a kickback on how many clicks they get, so I'll leave that to them.
Finally, artwork. It has a further reading article, and a few options on how to get that done, too.
4. Equipment
Microphones are covered here, with further reading focused on USB microphones. Then microphone stands, on-the-go equipment, headphones, and more are covered.
5. Software
The article covers a bunch, all with links. Again, not sure if they get a commission so I'll leave that to them.
6. Record
This part also covers scripting, with further reading. Microphone technique is also covered.
7. Editing
The article covers a few methods of editing, including a technique I think the site owner came up with- the MEE method.
8. Picking a podcast host
More links and, again, not sure if they get commissioned.
9. Submit to directories
This part covers how to actually get your podcast to a site where people can listen to it.
10. Launch plan
There's a ton of resources here, including one on marketing, advertising, a book on planning, a book on how to grow your audience, a podcast with more tips, and if you should join a network.
Some shameless self-promotion: If you don't like the cons of joining a network, feel free to send me your podcast and I'll put it on this blog, just to get ears on it!
The article also advises against comparing statistics, and encourages you to take pride in your work and focus on the audience you have.
There's also a couple of articles on monetization.

headcanon time! i posted this on my old blog but it was a little bit outdated so i'll fix that right up. this post delves into how i picture childe's relationship with the fatui, with a particular focus placed on the other harbingers. i'll cover the tsaritsa and how he views subordinates as well. word isn't law with these as they can develop or we can plot different threads if you write one of these muses, but this is sort of a default that i'll approach unless we decide upon otherwise. as always, under the cut for length.
the tsaritsa - after feeling rejected by most of his family and village, childe views her as the one person that doesn't reject him. she welcomed him among the harbingers with open arms and kind words, and it's why he's so fiercely loyal. he truly believes that her heart is good and wishes to help her achieve her goals. he feels a kinship with her, and strives to do well in his role because of that. he's often been called the tsaritsa's dog because of his loyalty.
the jester - childe recognizes him as the leader but honestly doesn't think of him too much. he has enough sense to be respectful and obviously follows orders, but he doesn't feel any loyalty to him. he is a bit wary of him, because part of him believes pierro's ideals may not necessarily align with the tsaritsa's (as most of the harbingers don't). he would like to challenge him to a fight, though.
the captain - childe admires him greatly. he knows a warrior when he sees one, and he'd love to cross blades with him, even if it'll be certain defeat on his own end. he simply wants the honor of learning from a battle with someone like him. as a new recruit when he'd first joined the fatui, capitano was a bit of a hero to him. he views him a bit like a goal to overcome one day, despite his admiration. he wants to best him in his quest to become stronger.
the doctor - of all of his coworkers, dottore is among the ones that childe likes the least. he keeps his distance as much as he can, because the guy gives him the creeps. he doesn't know all of the details, but he's heard stories about all the different sorts of experiments the doctor and his segments (rip) get up to, and he wants no part in that.
the damselette - one of his comrades that he knows the least, he keeps his distance from her too as something just feels incredibly off about her. he's curious, of course, because he'd like to fight her too (he wants to fight all of his comrades), but there's a hidden darkness about her that gives even him pause. he mostly just doesn't understand columbina. a lot of his coworkers he believes he's gotten a pretty good read on, but he can't quite grasp what her deal is. he's not sure he wants to find out.
the knave - like most of the rest of his comrades, she's cold and committed to her own goals. more than the rest of them, she doesn't bother to hide that she has ulterior motives, and wouldn't hesitate to betray any of them. she seems to regard him with indifference.
the rooster - perhaps it is naïve of him, but childe truly believes that aside from the tsaritsa, pulcinella is the only other one among the harbingers that feels an ounce of care for him. he's one of the only ones that regularly makes conversation with childe, and since pulcinella himself spends most of his time in snezhnaya, childe often looks to him for updates on his family. pulcinella has never given him a reason to distrust him. he seems just as loyal to the tsaritsa as childe is, and has been nothing but encouraging from the start. pulcinella was the one that noticed him among the new recruits and helped him climb the ranks so fast, so childe is grateful to him.*
the balladeer - oddly enough, childe always felt a sense of one-sided kinship with him. although scaramouche and he often spared antagonizing words for each other (especially scaramouche, childe usually just responded to his scathing words), he knew that the other was a bit of an oddball among the harbingers, like himself, which is a funny way of putting it considering that all of the harbingers are odd already. he never knew too much, because it wasn't like they were friends, but he was aware that the two of them were seen more like assets/weapons. when he first was promoted to the rank of harbinger, childe tried approaching him and becoming friends because he thought the balladeer was young like himself. naturally, that went horribly...**
the marionette - she seems a bit similar to the doctor in his eyes, the mad scientist type that places their research above all morals and reason. they haven't crossed paths much, but he can tell the disdain is mutual. he figures sandrone, like most of the other harbingers, sees him as some idiotic and incompetent kid.
the fair lady - from the start, signora was always rude to him. she seemed to take joy in undermining him when she could, treating him like he was lesser—more than the others, even. he never knew much about her, as signora seemed to always present herself as some cold-hearted witch. given her place among the harbingers, he knows she has to have some sort of past too. he feels a bit of sympathy, despite everything.
the regrator - his feelings regarding pantalone are mostly neutral. childe tries to maintain a good relationship because he knows pantalone is in charge of the fatui's coffers. he likes to think they're on friendly enough terms since pantalone's entrusted him to oversee the northland bank from time to time, but he knows better than to actually trust a guy like him.
subordinates (skirmishers, mages, named/unnamed npcs/etc.) - childe doesn't exactly try to become buddy-buddy with his underlings (despite silently and unwittingly yearning for friendship/acceptance), but he does respect them. he doesn't actively try to harm them out of a sick sense of joy, nor is he the type to abandon them should a mission go awry. he listens to their opinions and often likes spoiling those that work directly under him. he likes hearing them talk about their families and will often share about his with them. just because he's a good boss to them doesn't mean he's a push over, though. he might not kill them like some of his comrades do, but he doesn't shy away from striking fear in them either, should he need to. because of his respect for them, they respect him, too.
* this is hinted at in scaramouche's voicelines about pulcinella, but childe is absolutely misguided in his view of him. i think pulcinella's closeness to childe's family/childe himself is a means of insurance. by maintaining contact with childe's loved ones pulcinella essentially has childe in the palm of his hands. i hc that pulci does this as a means of ensuring childe will work for him whenever he needs him to. childe's treated a bit like an attack dog, and pulcinella thinks it wise to have someone like that on his side.
** this depends on whether a thread takes place before or after the events of 3.3. if it takes places after, then childe does not remember scaramouche. also, i've inferred that scaramouche and childe might've talked quite a bit because of scara's familiarity with childe's family situation, as well as what he had to say about childe (calling him weak and dumb, lmfao). this coupled with his line to signora about her and childe always complicating things... he seems to, in his own roundabout way, express concern for childe (and signora) so... i won't say they were friends, but i think they definitely talked.
anyway like i said this is all sort of a baseline to how i approach interactions but i'm definitely open to plotting different stuff and absolutely 100% wanna write with other harbingers so! i want childe to have work enemies, work buddies, etc etc. if you write a harbinger/fatui let's ball c:

How Long Should a Blog Post Be for SEO in 2023
Tumblr media
Blogging is a wonderful way to express your views and ideas to your target audience. Blogs have become more accessible to visitors, creators, businesses, and organizations. But simply writing and publishing a blog post does not guarantee that you will reach the right audience. Therefore, considering an educated estimate of the ideal blog post length is very important.
Experimentation and measurement of content creation is the most effective way to determine how long should a blog be for SEO. Also, while creating content, whether it is long-form or short-form content, you should consider including targeted keywords and relevant terms to enhance the SEO of the blog post.
Blog lengths vary, but longer blog posts are not always better than shorter blog posts. A long blog post doesn't guarantee great results, just as a short blog post doesn't guarantee failure. Your goal should be to provide your target audience with the best, most useful (and optimized) version of the content that matches their intent.
