At night, I couldn't sleep,
at day I couldn't stay awake.
My mind was constantly racing,
looking at myself, I only found flaws.
Overanalyzing my personality,
I always felt improvement.
I couldn't stop comparing myself
to those I would like to be like.
Why do they have it easier?
Why are they more open?
Why are they not anxious like me?
Why are their smiles and laughs genuine?
How come they can eat a meal and keep it down?
How could they meet with friends and not break down?
How can they speak openly about what is bothering them?
Where do they find the words to describe their emotions?
If I try, I choke up,
if I attempt to speak, I tear up.
It was easier to stay silent,
except that some people are meant to be happy,
others are meant to pretend.
I thought that I must've done something to suffer the way I do,
I am never meant to be happy, I am never meant to feel peaceful.
I haven't done anything to be loved,
so what is my purpose?
Should I leave or should I stay?
Or weigh out my options?
If I left, I would be at peace,
if I stayed, they would be at peace.
I do not care about myself,
I do not care about the others,
so which path should I go?
If I leave, the cries of a mother,
something that should never be heard,
would haunt me forever.
If I stayed, my own existence,
is what I was tired of experiencing.
"How are you really?"
I have no answer to that.
How could I, if I look at myself,
see and feel nothing?
If I look at outside of myself, I see and feel nothing,
so tell me, how would I know how I am doing?
"I am fine" is a lie.
"I am unwell" is a lie.
"I don't know how I'm doing" is a lie.
I do not know, I can't put it in words.
So I gave up explaining myself,
I gave up explaining my actions,
I gave up pretending,
I gave up trying,
I gave up.
I prayed to Buddha for peace,
I prayed to Guan Yin for mercy,
I prayed to Ji Gong for help,
I prayed to Chenrezig for compassion,
I prayed to Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva to stand with me.
All those times, I could not shake the feeling of selfishness.
"I don't have it as bad, they have it worse."
What am I complaining about?
What am I doing here?
Am I ungrateful?
Like everything else, I do not know.
I seeked refuge in them,
because I cannot help myself.
I do not know how to help myself,
and even if I knew, I am too weak.
So what should I do?
Staying is unbearable, leaving is unbearable.
How come there is no solution for both sides?

Vanmozhi OS - Shivapada Sekaran
(Inspired from Ponniyin Selvan novel)
Arulmozhi Varman had lots of dreams. He had many ambitions mainly due to Kundavai's influence. He wanted to establish the Chola empire as the most powerful empire and extend the boundaries of it even across oceans..by conquering Ilangai, and other islands -maalatheevu and kachhatheevu (Maldives, Lakshadweep). He did not want to be a ruthless, power hungry and cruel ruler and conquer those areas. He wanted to be a kind yet powerful, secular, leader who can achieve these goals and contribute to the welfare/prosperity to his people and Chola desam.
He wanted everyone in his kingdom to be prosperous. He wanted to promote artists and poets and give them recognition. He wanted to encourage and praise his soldiers who day and night work on the security of his Chola desam. He wanted to build his empire in a way that it will be remembered even after 1000 years. He wanted everyone in this world to know the greatness of this land.
But mainly he wanted to express his never ending devotion and submission to the one who controls this universe, the one whose dance influences this universe - blissful dance (Ananda Thandavam) in which entire universe is filled with bliss, joy and ecstasy, the ferocious and the most violent dance which leads to the destruction and annihilation of this universe. The one who has no start and no end, the one who is infinity, the one who has form and yet formless, the one who is far from the duality of this world - Shiva who can't be defined or described by anyone in mere words but can be attained by one's love and devotion. A simple leaf, flower, fruit submitted with love, devotion and faith can satisfy him but even money, gold, diamond and material riches submitted without devotion, faith would forever prohibit one from receiving his grace. His name - Om Nama Shivaya - is enough to attain his grace and to escape from the death - birth cycle and attain Moksha. By consistently remembering his name and praying him one can reach his feet. Arulmozhi was just lost in his thoughts about how to express the greatness of his Ishta Deivam(Favorite God) - Prameshwara, Nataraja.
Tumblr media
"Azndha sindanayil ullirgal pol therigiadu. Enna yosikirirgal Iyyane. Ungaluku virupam irundal ennidamum thangal ennangalai pagirungal.(It seems you are in deep thought- lost in thoughts. What are you thinking about my lord? If you don't mind you can share your thoughts with me.)"
"En kanne! Nee epodu vandai? Romba neramaga kaathu irundai aa enna? enge va. en aruge utkar. (My love. When did you come? Were you waiting for a long time? Come here and sit with me)"
"Epoduthan vanden. (I arrived just now)" Vanathi replied and sat beside him.
"Hmm. I am just lost in my dreams en anbe. I was just thinking about how to show the greatness of our land and Shiva to the whole world."
"Hmm. Indeed it is a very huge task. What are your thoughts on this my lord?"
"Well I am dreaming of building a temple which would house the lord of Kailash - Shiva. The temple should be very big and grand to house the deity of Kailash. It should be magnanimous, astounding and spell bounding to anyone who visits this temple at the same time it should also show the greatness of the Tamil language. The Nandi statue should be big as he guards the entrance of Kailash and the idol should be even bigger than the Nandi as he is the powerful lord Shiva. The temple should stand firm for a long period of time withstanding natural calamities and foreign invasions. It should act as a testimony to our rich culture and heritage. I am dreaming of building such a temple kanmani."
"And I want to show the greatness of our Tamil language anbe. The lingam should be of 12 feet height indicating the 12 uyir ezhuthu(vowels) of Tamil language. The pedestal which contains the lingam should be of 18 ft indicating the mei ezhuthu(consonants) of Tamil. The temple tower(gopuram) should be of 216 ft indicating the uyirmei ezhuthu of Tamil language. The total distance between Nandi and Shiva lingam should be 247 ft indicating the total characters in Tamil. Our language plays a major role in shaping our culture, heritage and spirituality. You know our staunch Shaivaites - Nayanmars praised Lord Shiva by various songs and hymns - Thevaram( 12 Thirumurai). I want to collect such precious treasures and sing those verses in our temples which will protect and guide us and our future generation. Similarly  Azhwars sang various songs on Vishnu and I want to collect those as well (Nalayira Dhivya Prabandham).Their worth can't be described in mere words. Our ancestors left such treasures for us we should save those and daily sing those hymns in our temples."
"You will build such a temple my lord. You will fulfil all your dreams. You  will recover those hymns and make sure that it is sung daily in our temples. You are Ponniyin Selvan(son of Kaveri river), eezham konda veeran(warrior who won Ilangai) , Cholar kula manickam you can do it."
"I would like to be addressed as Shivapada Sekaran(the one who places his crown at the feet of Shiva) kanne. I am a mere instrument, puppet used by  Mahadeva. We humans/beings are nothing but puppets/pawns in Mahadeva's hands. Everything happens as per his wish. Without his wish not even an atom can move then what can we humans do? "
"Then by Shiva's wish and blessings you will fulfil your dreams my lord."
"Nee solvadu palikattum anbe. (May your words manifest soon and turn true my love).  Meanwhile can you sing the first stanza of the pathigam that Sundara sang in Thiru vennainallur....Pitha pirai soodi ?"
"பித்தா! பிறை சூடீ! பெருமானே! அருளாளா!
எத்தால் மறவாதே நினைக்கின்றேன்? மனத்து உன்னை வைத்தாய்; பெண்ணைத் தென்பால் வெண்ணெய் நல்லூர் அருள் – துறையுள்
அத்தா! உனக்கு ஆள் ஆய் இனி அல்லேன் எனல் ஆமே? "
Meaning:
O crazy one! O the one who is wearing the crescent moon! O the great one! O the one who bestows blessings! You have installed yourself in my mind. I remember you always without forgetting in any manner. O father in the temple in the town of Vennai ~nallur on the southern banks of the Pennai river! How can I say any more that I am not your slave?
"Ah!"
"Enna achu en kanne?(What happened my dear?) Are you hurt? Are you in pain?"
"I am fine my lord. It seems your offspring agrees with you. He/She is kicking in my womb and praying to Shiva. Just see your son/daughter will contribute to manifesting your dreams. Your son/daughter will play a major role in visualizing your dreams."
"Ha ha. It seems my son/daughter has already started planning ahead. By Shiva's blessings I hope that it happens. We will see that soon kanne. We will be living in that reality in a few years. Kanne. "

hellooo with your permission, i am coming back to bother you with the Indian James headcanons 🙏
assuming they're from Maharashtra and they speak Marathi (and Hindi? i'm assuming most families know more than just one language) at home, what would he call his parents? and what would they call him and each other? I've heard "jaan" a lot but I'm not sure how accurate that is and whether that works for Marathi too. are there any other endearment terms they could use? like love, sunshine, darling etc in English.
also i've been wondering if there's any exclamations/expressions etc that can be used within English speech without making it sound unnatural. like in Arabic we say "basmala/mashallah" for good luck or "inshallah" when we hope that something happens etc and it's integrated in English speech very naturally. wondering if there's anything of that sort?
Okay imma go step by step here. In India, especially where I live (Maharashtra yay hehe) it's pretty normal to know like three or more languages. I myself— plus my family— speak Marathi, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati and Marwadi, and even though we can't speak them we understand Punjabi and Bengali. So you assume correctly that they speak more than one language at home. Especially my family, where we know a bunch of non Indian languages as well, for business purposes.
Assuming James is Maratha, he would call his mother Aai (pronounced Aa-ee) and his father Baba (Mum and Dad). I have this headcanon that when he wants to annoy them he calls them Matoshree and Pitashree lmao (formal terms for Mother and Father in Hindi/Sanskrit).
"Jaan" means "life", and it's pretty accurate even if it's Urdu tbh, a lot of parents call their kids stuff like jaan, hayat (which you already know the meaning of), laadli (darling in Hindi), maajha baal (my baby- Marathi). If you wanted nicknames in Marathi you'll be good to go with bubdi (bubba), laadkaa or laadki (darling in masc and fem), or sonpari (golden fairy, usually for girls) and Sonu (dear, used for children).
Exclamation sounds can be "arey!" (uh-ray) which is "hey!" and "aai ga!" (aa-ee guh) which is like "oh mother!". They're just one word each, but they can be used in like 50 different situations lmao. Arey can be used for calling someone's attention ("arey come here a second will you?"), to express frustration with someone ("areyyy, why are you like this?"), exasperation ("arey yaar!" yaar is slang for friend) and a bajillion other stuff. Aai ga is used as an exclamation mark for when you're surprised, or got hurt, and in place of "oh God!". We don't have specific phrases that mean good luck or inshallah, but Urdu still uses both mashallah and inshallah so you'll be okay i think. But James probably wouldn't use them bc he's not a Muslim yk, and Hindu people usually use the name of the god they're praying on on swearing on, so there's that. We say stuff like "hay bhagwan" ("oh, Vishnu". Bhagwan is one of the innumerable names of the Lord Vishnu). Or "har har Mahadev" ("glory be to Lord Shiva". Maha-dev literally translates to Great God, but it is one of the well known names of the God of Destruction). We do use "arey deva" (oh god) as well. "Jai shree Ram"(hail to the Lord Ram) or "jai shree krishna" or "jai shree ganpati" (ganpati is what most marathi people call Lord Ganesha) is used when we're beginning something and we want to make the start auspicious. The phrases are kind of used as "may this go well and end well" ykwim? This is hard to explain I hope you get what i wanna say lol.
Anyways, this is it, I hope this helps, and you can ask me anything and i will answer. Not always so quickly but I will. Have a good day!

I still have old wounds from being raised Christian. Feeling inherently sinful. Not being able to connect with God but feeling the power of other people's worship and wondering if I was so bad God had forsaken me. Praying and praying and praying for forgiveness. Accepting Jesus into my heart multiple times because I never felt saved. Fearing my thoughts would send me to hell. Begging God to love me too.
Ultimately the silence lead me to search for other spirituality and I did feel divinity in Dionysus and Aphroditie and Guan Yin and others. Now I feel Lord Shiva as Brahman, the true Divinity within the world. I see the many gods as different manifestations of Shiva. But I still wonder why I couldn't connect to the divine when I was younger. I wanted to, I hungrered for it, I craved it. But I still felt left out and unwelcome, cursed in some intrinsic way.
One of the reasons I love Shiva is because he is a protector of the outcasts and the damned. Ghosts and goblins and monsters worship him as well as humans and other gods because he accepts everyone (and all are a part of him anyway just under illusion). I don't feel too broken for Shiva. He accepts the simplest of offerings, even just ash because like him it's what remains in the end.
I'm still healing my gut instinct when I think of God. Replacing old trauma with new devotion for Shiva. It's a process with a little progress at a time. I didn't realize how much pain I was holding until my heart started to fill with love for Shiva.
Om Namah Shivaya ❤️🔱📿🕉

Bhagirath had two mothers.
The descendant of Sagara had died without had heir as a consequence of Kapila sage's curse and Ganga was still in heavens.
Ayodhya descended into chaos. Every human and God was worried.
So they prayed to Lord Shiva. He blessed the two widows of dead king, said they'd have a child.
The two women looked at him, but the king is dead. How then?
A few months later their friendship blossomed into a beautiful creeper of love. They waited till the time was right and kept their faith in Gods.
In the tenth month a boy was born to them. Since the kid was born from the union of two women, two bhagas, he was named Bhagirath.
Past few centuries had been quiet a sorrow for love that wasn't between a male and a female but finally, the shackles are chipping away and love is free again.
(this was inspired by @sundaralekhan hehe)

Raghuvan, teri raah nihare
CHAPTER 1
CHAPTER 2 by @dumdaradumdaradum
Chapter 3
It was five in the evening on Monday. Ram has just summed up his work, tying files and signing others. He strolled out in the hall, when he saw Babai gone. “Where is Babai?” he asked the jangu in the kitchen. “He’s gone to meet someone, he might come back in two or three hours later” he said, keeping the vegetable basket down. As soon as Ram turned around, he heard the jangu curse. “What happened?” Ram asked the hurrying jangu. “He told me to pick up his trousers from the tailor,” the jangu said, getting on his bike. “Where is the tailor?” Ram asked, standing near the door of the house. “Near Sita Mahal” the jangu replied, trying to kick start his bike. “Sita Mahal” Ram muttered and got on the bike too, with a very distressed jangu driving.
As they passed some shops, he wondered if he should take something for Sita- in case he gets to meet her. “What does she like?” Ram asked, leaning forward, the wind fazing his voice. “Paan” the jangu sounded sure. “How do you know?” Ram asked. “It’s Banaras' famous news. Whoever gets to make a paan that Sita loves, they get to spend some really lovely time with her. No one has really made it till now- but all the nearby paan makers are always trying. It's a special ingredient no one knows about, no matter what they try. Coconut, cherry, rose, saunf, it's futile. They get rejected” Ram peered at one of the shops. He stopped by to buy a paan for her, and one for himself.
As soon as they entered that locality, the air changed. There was a sweet camphor smell, but the people held something bitter in their heart. There were candles, lights, paan shops, an environment of entertainment and joy. Yet people were hushed, sneaking their eyes away. Jangu stopped his bike outside a shop with “Dev Tailors” wide on its door. But Ram’s eyes couldn’t leave the bridge that crossed Ganga to reach Sita. Before Jangu could say something, Ram was already running towards the glass dome building.
The building looked even prettier upon close inspection. The glass dome held a jhoomar in center, and the room was clearly meant for dancing for the visitors. There were preparations being done for the visitors to start coming once the sun goes down. Before Ram could take another step in the hall, a hand pressed against his chest. “Come at eight, we are not open yet” she smelled like roses, her hands were cladded with mehendi. “I’m here to meet Sita” he said, and at least four women turned to look at him. The woman furrowed her eyebrows. “Do you know didi? We are seeing you for the first time” she asked in confusion. “No uh, I just want to meet her once, that is it” he said, looking behind her in the hall. “Wait wait” she said, pushing him back. “What’s your name?” she asked. He sighed. “Ram” he said, and three other women laughed. “At least seven rams come a day my dear” she said, smiling.
Before Ram could say something, a voice broke the chatter in the hall. “Kaun hai?” Who's there? “Some Ram” the woman said and moved out of the way so that Sita could see the visitor.
“You're new,” Sita muttered, stepping closer. “I, I just want to meet you” Ram muttered, his gaze not stopping for once.
They were right, she did look like an angel. Her hair was wet, tied in a knot at the back. She wore a light yellow white saree, a pooja thali in her hand. Simple glass bangles and bindi were her only jewelry. “Come with me” she said and Ram skipped his way to her.
They walked through the glass hall, a hallway, and entered an open place. The visitor’s hall had the girl’s residence behind it. The center was an aangan, where they practiced. On the right was a jhoola and a harmonium there. On the left was a small statue of lord shiva. Behind the both were stairs for the rooms upstairs. In the front of the hallway, across the aangan were a flight of stairs, leading to Ganga. Ram sat near the stairs as sita prayed to her god. As soon as she was done, she handed a piece of sweet to Ram, smiling. She sat down on the aangan floor itself, the golden light from the sun falling on her. Her eyes glowed golden and her bones shined.
“So” she started, looking at Ram. “Ram?” she asked, smiling. “Alluri Ramaraju” he said, giving the paan to her. She smiled, taking the paan from him. “The house across ganga?” she asked. Ram nodded, eating his paan. “You didn’t come to just meet, right?” she looked up at him, a sudden flare of sadness in her eyes. Ram smiled, licking his fingers. “I came to know why no one in the whole Banaras has been able to give you your favorite paan.” Sita looked down smiling, and tore her paan in half. She stood up and faced Ram.
Sita licked one of the pieces, maintaining eye contact with Ram.
He gulped.
She probed the piece on his lips.
He parted his lips and took the paan in his mouth.
She smiled when his eyes widened.
The flavor of paan changed, it was sweeter.
“Because none of them came to meet me, like you Ramaraju. They come to devour the betel leaves, not to offer it. My job doesn’t include sending men back home, darling” she said, sitting beside him. “What if I was here to devour betel leaves?” he asked, leaning back to create space between them. Sita smiled. “It’s a monday evening, I would charge extra” she said, getting up.
“Why are you here?” sita faced ram, her hands crossed on her chest. “I hear you from my room all the time. Your name is Sita.” Ram smirked, still leaning back on his hand. “And you want to sleep with me too?” Sita asked, her expression unwavering. Ram smiled and got up, looking at his watch. “And you liked my paan” he stood in front of her, smirking. Sita blushed. Blushed.
“Are men trying new tactics to get discounts?” she asked, walking towards him as he backed to the edge of the stairs. “I am not here why you think I am,” he said, sitting down on the stairs again when his shin hit the brick step. “Then what do you want” she leaned forward, her hands balancing herself on his broad shoulders. The tied knot of her wet hair loosened and her hair spread forward, creating a dark curtain. The sun seeped through her hair and onto her face, and she looked ethereal.
Ram forgot what he was saying. He gaped at the beauty, trying to form words. “What’s your favorite color?” Ram asked and mentally slapped himself. Who even asks that anymore?? Sita was taken aback by his question. “Blue” she muttered, straightening up. Ram smiled and got up again.
He started to leave. “Where are you going?” Sita asked from the center of aangan. Ram stood at the beginning of the hallway and looked back.  “Home?” he said. “But- but no men here leaves without sl-”
“I am more satisfied with our conversation than what you would give those men. I am more satisfied than those men.” Ram said and looked up at Sita, her expression unreadable. This was not part of her routine. Often, men took empathy by talking to her- and then indulge in the same sin as a reward. What this man did, she really wanted to know him better. More. Often.
Sita walked towards him. The chattering in the hall indicated early arrivals of visitors. “What if I make you famous in banaras?” she asked and Ram chuckled. “Babai would kill me” he said and Sita smiled at that.
“How can I repay you?” Sita asked, and Ram held a soft, sad smile. “Let me meet you in the daytime, not in the darks of night. I want to see you in the sunlight under the light blue sky, Sita. The nights here are full of your glamor anyways- i want more. I want-” before ram could continue, sita’s expression fauletered. “You do understand what comes with it right?” she asked in a hush tone- as if that was the wrong thing to do there. “I am getting married soon, maybe” Ram said and Sita furrowed her eyebrows. “That’s even worse!” she said, furious. “It’s like a last wish. Will you fulfill it?” Ram asked hopefully. Sita only sighed.
Sita opened the curtains of the hallway to let Ram cross the hall to exit the building. Everyone stared at the brooding mustached man who was with sita on the evening of a workday. Before Ram could step out of the building, a voice called for him that silenced the hall.
“Ram!” He turned around to face sita.
“Aapke paan ka swaad alag tha, hamein accha laga” Your paan tasted different, I liked it, She said and earned some gasps.
They both smiled, turned around and left.
By midnight, the whole banaras knew that a ram had won the sita.

Unveiling the Mystique: Exploring the Sacred Significance of Nandi, the Divine Bull
Tumblr media
Many people in today's world know Nandi as the bull in front of Lord Shiva. Nandi Devar was also called Vahanam or vehicle of Lord Shiva. Nandi can withstand the three-eye power of Lord Shiva. He is also known as the closest abode and personal bodyguard of Lord Shiva. He is an expert in playing drums and plays an important role during Pradosham (a sacred time to pray to Lord Shiva). But there are always two faces to a coin. Did you ever think that Nandi is a Bull, a Man, or even a Bull man?
In this article, we are going to discuss who Nandi is, what he has done, and how he became a close abode of Lord Shiva.
Interesting Notes: It is believed that “During Pradosham, Shiva dances in the head of Nandi”.
Who Is Nandi?
We cannot be sure about the past. But ancient scripts from the great sage Agathiyar say that “Nandi is one ancestor of the Siddha way of life and the guru of Ashta (8) Siddhas, which includes Patanjali Siddhar.” So, it is clear that Nandi is one of the Siddhars who attained supreme power and reached Lord Shiva himself.
"Nandham" in Tamil means growing love and a person who is always happy. So, it is clear that Nandi is a Siddhar who has growing love towards Lord Shiva and is always happy.
Interesting Notes: Nandi is called Adhikara Nandhi, which means a person who has supreme power over all devotees of Shiva.
Early Life Of Nandi Devar:
Once there lived a Siddhar called Silathamunivar and his wife Chitravathi who were without children. So, Silathamunivar prayed to Lord Shiva for a son. Shiva said, "You will find a baby in the forest, adopt him, and raise him as your son." One day Silathamuniar found Nandi as a baby in the forest. He named him Nandi and educated him with dharma & other scriptures.
Interesting Notes: It is believed that “Nandi married Suyamprabha (granddaughter of Vashistar) also known as Kundalini.”
Devotion For Shiva:
During Nandi’s seventh birthday, an old sage told Silathamunivar that his son would die. So, Silathamunivar asked Nandi to meditate on Lord Shiva. Nandi meditated on Lord Shiva for months, and finally, Shiva appeared in front of him and asked what he wanted. He said, “Nandi says that he wants to meditate on his name throughout his life.” Shiva was happy that Nandi didn’t ask for eternal life but wanted his blessing for meditation. Shiva makes Nandi one of his sons and personal bodyguards.
Interesting Facts: Lord Shiva is prayed to not only by humans but also by all species.
Conclusion:
Nandi Devar is known for his teaching of alchemy and medicines. He is a direct disciple of Lord Shiva and learned from him. He is one of the ancestors who taught the Siddha way of life. His life taught us that with growing love for God, we can attain the destiny of our life. Sivayanama - Mandirams depiction is Nandi Devar.
Interesting Notes: It is believed that “To get the blessing of Lord Nandi, you should donate food during the Pradosham period.

Writing down my wishes here coz someone said i should write them somewhere open to manifest.
The point is most of the wishes are plans i made to execute with my better half(if i let anyone be).
1. Wishing him to be a devotee of Lord Shiva if not at least respect him so that i could take him with me to visit all the temples of Lord Shiva. Not just the temples, the mountain and caves related to the lord. How beautiful it will be to have my world with me visiting the supreme soul's centre points telling him all stories, meditating with him, purifying souls together, chanting mantras together, vibrating higher together, having blessings with him, with him praying for him. 🪷
2. Calling my one with the name, "Shiv" or "Shiva" i hope he likes. 😌
3. Randomly enacting any scene of a movie or any dialogues with him.
4. Singing the bohemian raps together. It might be impossible bcs not many people listen to bohemia's classic verses💯 Still fingers crossed.
5. Manifesting a tea lover bcs tea is love. I respect coffee people but tea is home. With my one, having morning and evening teas together especially tea with black pepper ♥️
6. Together reading books or poems🤎. Talking about poets, their love life, their struggles. If that person likes something else i am ready to learn for him.
7. Discussions about life, humans, gods, universe, music, books, artists, movies. I discuss these things with those on whom i have utmost trust and have respect for them. 🌙
8. Exploring music together. Music is important🤌
9. Settling in the mountains maybe? Because I don't like human society. We can have our little restaurant or coffee place for earning. Being happy in the little. Just Us two being happy in the mountains bcs i love mountains.. i dont even know why but these feel more like home. I have planned that if I couldn't do well in this world I would go somewhere far in a village in the mountains of himachal maybe kallatop. ❄️
10. Northern lights.. i love them. I want to see those great green northern lights upon my head with or without someone. One day for sure.💯
11. Visiting Jordan and Prague.. bcs Rockstar movie was shot there. ⭐
12. Visiting Scotland on Harry Potter shooting locations.🍂
13. Visiting that green place of my dream I didn't disclosed to everyone. I need to find first where it is.🌀
14. Some evenings beside lakes.🌊
15. Visiting Cambridge or Oxford University liberary. 📚
16. Having my own library at home or owning one somewhere outside for people.
17. Publishing my own books either fiction or non fiction.
18. Read books till the end of my life. 😌
19. Attending a concert maybe? I dont know if i'll enjoy it.
20. Naming my daughter (if i'd have babies) "Amrita" and "Jordan" for my son.🌷
Maybe i'll add more or delete some in future but for now these are in my mind. ✨

By the Twelve... Mine ears hear the tongue of dragons, yet the meaning rings clear within my mind... How can that be...?
Hraesvelgr...do you not remember me? 'Twas I whom you found in Dravania─I who glimpsed the truth. The truth about your past, about Shiva─
Do not speak her name, mortal!
But speak it I must! I have summoned Shiva's soul from the beyond, and offered myself as her vessel! She has made her heart known to me!
Foolish girl. Thinkest thou my beloved's spirit hath descended from the heavens!?Hraesvelgr: That the secrets of her heart are thine to know!?
I have surrendered mine to her! Do you not see, my love? I am Shiva reborn!
Gullible fool... The Light but illuminated the past for thee, it did not grant thee omniscience. The spirit thou hast summoned belongeth not to Shiva─'tis but a shade conjured by thine own fancy. In an age long past, mine own kin were guilty of like folly.
Beguiled by the dark ones' lies, they attempted to resurrect a king amongst wyrms─yet the divinity they called forth merely borrowed the semblance of my fallen brood-brother. Such gods are not summoned, but created. Phantoms spun from the threads of misplaced faith.
Then the spirit that answered me...
...Was but thy dream of Shiva. Thy soul hath been corrupted by a deity of thine own making, child.
Be that as it may, Lord Hraesvelgr, Ysayle's desire to heal the rift between man and dragon is real, and it has borne us this far. We would spare both our kind and yours the ravages of this senseless war! Pray join your voice to ours in a call for peace and forgiveness!

Why we worship Lord Shiva?
Shiva, the Unconventional Lord
Imagine if you had a friend who didn’t follow all the usual rules and liked to do things in a different way. That’s a bit like Lord Shiva. He believes in being free and doesn’t worry too much about what everyone else thinks. It’s like he’s saying, “It’s okay to be yourself and not always do what everyone else does.”
The Lord of Our Bodies
Our bodies are like our own special houses, and inside these houses, there’s something called “tamas.” Shiva takes care of tamas, which is really important because it helps us become better people. When we worship Shiva, it’s like asking him to help us clean our houses and make them nice and cozy.
A Direct Connection to Shiva
You know how you can talk to your friends and family without needing someone else to help you? Well, with Shiva, it’s the same way. You can go to a special place called a temple to talk to him, or you can even talk to him in your heart. Shiva is always ready to listen, just like a good friend.
Accepting Our Feelings Sometimes, we feel angry, and that’s okay. Shiva understands that, too. It’s like having a friend who tells you that it’s alright to feel upset sometimes. He helps us understand our feelings and not feel guilty about them.
Shiva, the Loving Husband and Family Man
Shiva is not just a powerful god; he’s also a great husband and a loving family man. He treats his wife, Parvathi, with so much love and respect. He shows us that in families, everyone should be treated equally and with love.
The Bestower of Amazing Powers Imagine if you could have superpowers, like flying or making things better with just a thought. Shiva has powers like that! When we ask him for help, he can make our lives better and help us become the best versions of ourselves.
Protecting All Creatures Shiva loves animals and takes care of them, making sure they are safe and healthy. When we pray to Shiva, we can ask him to protect animals from harm and make their lives better.
The Source of Wisdom
Shiva is like a super teacher who knows everything about art, science, and lots of other cool stuff. When we look up to Shiva, we can learn so many interesting things from him. He’s like a superhero with all the knowledge in the world.
So, that’s why people love and worship Lord Shiva. He’s like a friend, a superhero, and a teacher all in one. He helps us become better and teaches us to be kind, loving, and understanding. Isn’t that just amazing?

God of Cannabis: How Lord Shiva Inspires Cannabis Culture
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
God of Cannabis: How Lord Shiva Inspires Cannabis Culture in India and Beyond
Cannabis has a long and complex history in many cultures around the world. One of the most fascinating examples of cannabis and religion is the relationship between Lord Shiva, one of the three major gods in Hinduism, and the sacred plant. Who Is Lord Shiva? Lord Shiva is known as the god of destruction and transformation, as well as the patron of yoga, meditation, and the arts. He is part of the Hindu trinity, along with Brahma, the god of creation, and Vishnu, the god of preservation. Shiva is often depicted with long, knotted hair or a top knot bun, a third eye on his forehead, a snake around his neck, a trident in his hand, and a crescent moon on his head. He is also associated with the sacred river Ganges, which flows from his hair. Shiva is revered by millions of Hindus who worship him in various forms and festivals. One of the most popular festivals dedicated to Shiva is Maha Shivaratri, or "The Great Night of Shiva", which falls on the 14th night of the new moon in the Hindu month of Phalguna (February or March). On this night, devotees fast, chant, pray, and offer flowers, fruits, milk, and cannabis to Shiva. Why Does Shiva Love Cannabis? Lord Shiva is one of the most revered deities in Hinduism, and he is known for his many attributes and aspects. One of them is his association with cannabis, which he is often depicted as smoking from a chillum, a clay pipe. There are many stories that explain why Lord Shiva smokes weed, and what its significance of it is. Lord Shiva chillum story: One of the most popular stories is related to the Samudra Manthan, or the churning of the ocean, which was done by the gods and the demons to obtain the nectar of immortality. During this process, a deadly poison called Halahal emerged from the ocean, which threatened to destroy all life. Lord Shiva, out of compassion, swallowed the poison to save the world, but it caused his throat to turn blue and burn intensely. In order to soothe the pain, he was offered bhang (seeds and leaves of cannabis). Much of the medicinal lore around weed comes from such stories where Lord Shiva uses the plant to cure an ailment. Bhang has been traditionally associated with Shiva worship which is why he is often called the ‘Lord of Bhang’. Another story is that Lord Shiva retreated to the mountains after his wife Sati died. He was grief-stricken and isolated himself from the world. He sat in meditation for a long time, oblivious to his surroundings. The gods became worried about him and sent Parvati, the reincarnation of Sati, to lure him out of his trance. Parvati disguised herself as a tribal woman and offered him some food. Lord Shiva accepted it and found it delicious. He asked her what it was, and she revealed that it was cannabis. He was surprised and pleased by its effects, and he opened his eyes to see Parvati's true form. He fell in love with her and married her. A third story is that Lord Shiva smokes weed to control his anger and maintain his balance. He is known as the destroyer of evil and ignorance, but also as the destroyer of worlds when he performs his cosmic dance of Tandava at the end of each cycle of creation. His anger can be provoked by the wickedness and injustice in the world, and he can unleash his wrath upon anyone who offends him or his devotees. To calm himself down and keep his emotions in check, he smokes cannabis from his chillum, which helps him relax and meditate. These stories show that Lord Shiva smokes weed for various reasons: to heal himself, to enjoy himself, and to regulate himself. They also show that cannabis is a sacred plant in Hinduism and that it has medicinal, recreational, and spiritual benefits. However, they also warn that cannabis should be used with moderation and respect, and not as an escape or an addiction. Only Lord Shiva can handle its full power, and he is the only one who can smoke it without any harm.
Tumblr media
How Do People Use Cannabis to Honor Shiva? Cannabis is considered a prasad, or a blessed offering, to Shiva. Many Hindus believe that consuming cannabis can help them communicate with Shiva, attain spiritual insights, and cleanse their sins. Some also believe that cannabis can cure various ailments, enhance creativity, and promote social harmony. There are different ways that people use cannabis to honor Shiva. One of them is smoking it in a chillum, a conical clay pipe that is often shared among sadhus (holy men) and devotees. Another way is drinking bhang, a traditional beverage made from cannabis leaves, milk, sugar, spices, and nuts. Bhang is especially popular during Holi, the festival of colors when people drink it to celebrate joy and love. Cannabis is also used in rituals and ceremonies dedicated to Shiva. For example, some people smear cannabis paste on Shiva's lingam (a symbol of his energy) or offer cannabis leaves and flowers to his idols or images. Some also chant mantras or sing songs that praise Shiva and his association with cannabis.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What Is the Status of Cannabis in India Today? Cannabis has been a part of Indian culture for thousands of years, but its legal status has changed over time. In 1985, India passed the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS), which banned the production, possession, sale, and consumption of cannabis resin (hashish) and flowers (ganja), but allowed the use of cannabis leaves (bhang). This law was influenced by international pressure from countries like the United States that wanted to curb drug trafficking. However, the enforcement of this law has been uneven and inconsistent across India. In some states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Bihar, cannabis cultivation is tolerated or even encouraged for religious, medicinal, or industrial purposes. In other states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Rajasthan, cannabis consumption is common and accepted during festivals like Holi and Maha Shivaratri. In some states like Kerala, Karnataka, and Delhi, cannabis possession can lead to harsh penalties or imprisonment. How Lord Shiva Inspires Cannabis Culture Lord Shiva is one of the most revered and complex deities in Hinduism. He is often depicted with long, knotted hair or a top knot bun, smoking marijuana, or drinking bhang, a fermented cannabis-infused beverage. According to his legend, Shiva fell asleep under a cannabis plant after a heated argument with his family and then woke up feeling fresh and peaceful. He discovered the rejuvenating properties of cannabis and adopted it as his favorite food. He also shared it with his followers, who became known as sadhus or holy men. Cannabis has been used in India for thousands of years, both for medicinal and spiritual purposes. It is mentioned in ancient texts such as the Vedas and the Atharva Veda, where it is called Vijaya, meaning victory. It is also associated with soma, a mysterious plant that was consumed by the gods and priests in ritual ceremonies. Some scholars believe that soma was actually cannabis or a mixture of cannabis and other psychoactive plants. Cannabis is considered a sacred plant in Hinduism, as it is believed to be a gift from Lord Shiva to humanity. It is used to honor him on special occasions, such as Shivaratri, the night of Shiva, when devotees fast, prays, chant, and consume cannabis to attain his blessings. Cannabis is also used to enhance meditation, yoga, and other spiritual practices, as it is said to open the third eye, the seat of intuition and wisdom. Cannabis can also help to overcome ego, attachment, and ignorance, which are the sources of suffering in Hindu philosophy. However, cannabis use in Hinduism is not without restrictions or responsibilities. It is not meant to be abused or used for recreational purposes. It is only permitted for those who have renounced worldly pleasures and dedicated their lives to spiritual pursuits. It is also expected that those who use cannabis do so with respect, gratitude, and moderation. Cannabis is not a shortcut to enlightenment, but a tool to aid the seeker on their path. Cannabis culture today owes a lot to Lord Shiva and his followers, who have preserved and propagated the ancient knowledge and traditions of this sacred plant. Many cannabis enthusiasts admire and emulate Shiva's lifestyle and values, such as simplicity, detachment, creativity, and compassion. Some even regard him as the patron saint of cannabis and invoke his name before lighting up. Whether one believes in Shiva or not, there is no doubt that he is a powerful symbol and inspiration for cannabis lovers around the world. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFxJeu7x9Uk FAQ Does Shiva drink alcohol? Shiva is one of the most revered and complex deities in Hinduism. He is known as the destroyer, the ascetic, the lord of animals, the patron of yoga and meditation, and the master of dance. He is also associated with various substances that alter consciousness, such as cannabis, bhang, and soma. The question of whether Shiva drinks alcohol or not has been debated by scholars and devotees for centuries. There is no definitive answer, as different sources present different views on this topic. However, some general trends can be observed. In the earliest Hindu scriptures, known as the Vedas, Shiva is not mentioned by name, but he is identified with Rudra, a fierce and powerful god who controls storms, diseases, and death. Rudra is also associated with soma, a mysterious plant that was used to prepare a sacred drink that induced ecstasy and visions. Soma was considered to be the elixir of life and the source of divine inspiration. However, soma was not an alcoholic drink, but rather a psychoactive substance that stimulated the mind and spirit. In the later Hindu scriptures, known as the Puranas, Shiva is depicted as a more benevolent and compassionate god who protects his devotees from evil and grants them boons. He is also portrayed as a lover of Parvati, his consort, and a father of Ganesha and Kartikeya, his sons. In these texts, Shiva is not described as consuming soma or any other intoxicating drink. Instead, he is shown as drinking the poison that emerged from the churning of the ocean of milk, an event that threatened to destroy the world. Shiva swallowed the poison to save creation, but Parvati held his throat to prevent it from reaching his stomach. This turned his throat blue, earning him the name Neelakantha (the blue-throated one). In some post-Puranic texts, such as the Tantras and the Agamas, Shiva is depicted as a more radical and unconventional god who transcends all moral and social norms. He is also seen as a teacher of esoteric doctrines and practices that aim to liberate the soul from ignorance and bondage. In these texts, Shiva not only consumes intoxicating drinks but also smokes marijuana and eats meat. He does so to demonstrate his detachment from worldly pleasures and his mastery over his senses. He also does so to challenge the conventional notions of purity and pollution that govern Hindu society. He teaches his followers that nothing is inherently good or evil, but rather depends on one’s intention and awareness. Therefore, it can be said that Shiva’s relationship with alcohol varies according to different sources and contexts. Some texts suggest that he drinks alcohol to express his freedom and power, while others imply that he abstains from it to show his wisdom and grace. Ultimately, Shiva’s drinking or not drinking alcohol is not a matter of morality or piety, but rather a reflection of his multifaceted and mysterious nature. Does Shiva eat meat? This is a question that has been debated by scholars and devotees of Hinduism for centuries. There is no definitive answer to this question, as different sources and traditions may have different views on the diet and lifestyle of Shiva, one of the principal deities of Hinduism. Some sources suggest that Shiva is a vegetarian, as he is often associated with asceticism, meditation, yoga, and non-violence. He is also said to be fond of milk, butter, and fruits, which are offered to him in rituals and worship. Some of his epithets, such as Pashupati (lord of animals) and Rudra (the fierce one), imply that he is compassionate and protective of all living beings and that he does not harm or consume them. Other sources suggest that Shiva is a meat eater, as he is often depicted as a hunter, a warrior, and a destroyer. He is also said to be fond of intoxicants, such as bhang (cannabis) and soma (a ritual drink), which are offered to him in rituals and worship. Some of his epithets, such as Bhairava (the terrible one) and Kala (the lord of time and death), imply that he is fierce and destructive of all living beings and that he does not shy away from consuming them. Ultimately, the question of whether Shiva eats meat or not may depend on one’s personal interpretation and understanding of Shiva’s nature and role in Hinduism. Some may see him as a benevolent and peaceful god who abstains from meat, while others may see him as a powerful and violent god who enjoys meat. Some may see him as both, or neither, or something beyond these categories. Shiva is a complex and multifaceted deity who transcends human limitations and expectations. Why does Shiva consume Bhang? Lord Shiva is believed to consume bhang for various reasons according to Hindu mythology. Some of them are: - Helps him to stay in a state of bliss and concentration during his meditation. - Was offered to him to cool down his throat after he swallowed the deadly poison Halahal during the churning of the ocean. - Is a gift from him to mankind as a natural medicine and a way to connect with the divine. - Is related to his consort Parvati and his companion Ganga, who both reside on his head. Bhang is thus a sacred drink that is associated with Shiva worship and is consumed by his devotees at festivals like Maha Shivratri. What siva banam meaning? Bhang Shiva is a term used in Hinduism to refer to the bow of Lord Shiva, one of the main deities in the Hindu pantheon. The bow is said to be made of a single piece of horn and decorated with gold and jewels. It is also known as Pinaka, Ajagava or Vijaya. According to Hindu mythology, Siva banam was used by Shiva to destroy the three cities of the Asuras, the evil beings who opposed the gods. The bow is also associated with Shiva’s consort Parvati, who once broke it while trying to string it. Siva banam is considered to be a symbol of Shiva’s power and authority. Will you have enough courage to share a portion of your hard earned work for free to someone else?
Imagine, you would have worked extremely hard over a period and that has been fruitful too, it paid off well. Now, will you have enough courage to give away or share a portion of it for free with someone else?
Well, if the answer is a BIG NO, then let me tell you, this is what is called as “Donation”
And not everyone will have that big of a heart to donate something which they have wade through upon day & night and have thought & prayed of nothing but to have a worthy result.
Even if you think, there is someone who can do this and has got such a big heart, I can bet this community will top it. And the community is none other than our own FARMERs.
Yes, our beloved Farmers who work hard throughout the season – sow, grow, guard, reap & harvest – so all of us can have a peaceful meal.
When you donate something from your heart it tells what a great soul you are! Or in simplest term it signifies Sharing & Caring.
In Chhattisgarh, every year we celebrate Annual Harvest Festival called “छेर छेरा”
Motive behind is to donate a part of produced grains so that no one goes hungry.
Cher Chera is a post-harvest festival dedicated to reaping the paddy crop and is celebrated every year on the full moon day of Pausha (पौष) month as per Hindu calendar “पञ्चाङ्ग” and so is also called as “छेर-छेरा पुन्नी”. It is a symbol of state’s glorious tradition of charity and social harmony.
On this day kids and adults, all go door to door and ask for food grains, singing
“छेर छेरा ! माई कोठी के धान ला हेर हेरा!!”
Ladies of the house donate handful of grains from storage to kids and till either of food grains, vegetables or fruits are given, kids don’t leave the door and keep singing
“अरन बरन कोदो दरन, जब्बे देबे तब्भे टरन ।
छेरिक छेरा, माई कोठी के धान ला हेरिक हेरा ।। “
Workspaces are supposed to be closed on this day and people usually don’t go out of their towns.
As it is believed that we should not let anyone go empty hand from our doors. On this day, begging is not looked down upon. In fact, whoever begs this day is treated as a Brahmin and the lady awarding grains is avatar of Shakambhari Devi.
The Lore of Cher Chera
There are many lores associated with Cher Chera. One of them is, once Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got into an argument about the importance of Prakriti during assembly to which Shiva denied stressing on superiority of Purusha(male) over Prakriti(mother Nature). Enraged Parvati, in order to show Lord Shiva and world her importance, she disappeared saying she wants to see how world would survive without her. With Parvati’s disappearance the world was deprived of food and there occurred famine. The Nature came to standstill, there were no change in season. Everything became barren. The Lands became infertile. Nothing grew anymore. This led to severe drought & huge shortage of food.
When Shiva’s followers came to him asking for food. He looked for, but couldn’t find even a grain of food, fruit, a petal of flower or medicinal herb. Every creature on earth was getting deceived. Then God, humans & demons all kept praying for food. Goddess Parvati heard the prayers, and she couldn’t see her children perishing out of hunger. So, she took Shakambhari avatar and redeemed everyone out of hunger & famine. Shiva realised his mistake and he appeared before Goddess with a begging bowl in his hands. Shakambhari Devi offered her food as alms to Shiva and made him realize that as Brahmin Shiva might have outgrown his hunger, but his followers haven’t. She advised everyone not to hoard and help & support others whoever has got surplus.
As per ancient history, there was once a king Kalyan Saaya from Kaushal state (presently Bastar). He returned after taking his education on politics and martial arts from Mughal emperor Jehangir. He was away from his kingdom for almost 8 years. Upon hearing this news people of Kaushal were too excited and were celebrating their king’s return by singing and dancing. By seeing his people love for him, King ordered all his subordinates to celebrate that day every year as a festival of donating food and make sure no one goes empty handed.
It’s up to an individual to whichever story they want to believe in, but I personally love the thought of sharing and caring and what’s better than sharing & donating food.
And if you are in Chhattisgarh and hear छेर छेरा! माई कोठी के धान ला हेर हेरा!! at your doorstep on Pausha month’s full moon, don’t get surprised. Just join them in celebrating the auspicious harvest festival छेर छेरा by donating a handful of grains from your storage.
Meanwhile let me sing an age-old song sung by kids all over छत्तीसगढ़ during छेर छेरा
द्वार-द्वार मा डालबो डेरा,
गांव गली के करबो फेरा।
कन्धा मा झोला लटकाबो,
अऊ जोर से कईबो
छेर छेरा …
कोठी के धान ला हेर हेरा ||
Tumblr media
आप सबो मन ला छेर-छेरा के गाडा-गाडा बधाई ।।
जय जोहार, जय छत्तीसगढ़ ।।

"One Unbounded Ocean Of Consciousness In Motion,"
As Maharishi Always Said:
In The Veda Lila,
" One Unbounded
Ocean, Of Consciousness in Motion
Fully Awake
Within Itself,
Fully Awake,
Knows Itself,"
Expresses Itself,
"One Unbounded Ocean
Of Consciousness In
Motion, Fully Awake
Within Itself,"
"Fully Awake,"
"One Unbounded Ocean Of Consciousness In Motion, Fully Awake With in Itself,"
"Fully Awake," to Express Itself…
"One Unbounded Ocean"…
"Consciousness
In Motion,"
"Fully Awake," to Express Itself
"Fully Awake,"
Peace.
