Yandere academic rival who really, really wishes he could just get you out of the way.
Dead dove Do Not Eat! MDNI ! NSFW !
Tw. Dubcon/Noncon, bullying, academic pressures, blackmail, oral sex, explicit photos, mentions of baby trapping, yandere, stalking, forced relationship, AFAB reader
Elias had a certain level of respect for you.
You both attended a prestigious university crammed full of students vying to make connections and nab a cushy position for themselves in the future, and while it was easy for him to be on top of the social and academic scenes, he knew you had to work a bit harder. He came from a very wealthy household, one where needing something was merely a concept and not something he ever actually encountered. You, on the other hand, definitely come from a lesser background than him and his circle. Your scholarship and just above the average academics seemed to have pushed you into a good spot to be hoisted into the same realm as him.
But he didn't really think of you much at first.
You were some nameless face that wasn't really worthy of being around him. Maybe he would catch glimpses of your hair, or someone woud mention you in passing and he'd pretend to be intruiged.
It was really when you started to be compared to him of all people that he started to really pay attention.
You were smart, cunning, and ruthless when it came to your assignments. Just like him. Normally he worked overtime, paid industry professionals to help review his papers, his study materials and poured blood sweat and tears into his academics. And yet you somehow managed to be on his level with less than half the resources. It drove him up a wall because if you were nearly as good as him now, then what could you be like if you had the chance?
Elias was like a man obsessed after your sudden, explosive rise in the minds of professors and lecturers alike. He spent hours studying, shirking his friends and other responsibilities just to make sure he was still better than you, to keep you in your place.
He started to focus in more on your personal life, too.
Where on earth did you come from? He's half convinced that you were genetically designed in a lab to piss him off. But the more he glares at the back of your head when you're not looking, the more he's transfixed. You're like a black hole, or some kind of other abyss like metaphor. Fuck, you had him writing poetry in his head. He hated poetry. He hated you. Or at least, he would really like to hate you, but he couldn't. You had the same amount of drive as him, maybe even a little more. No matter what he did, he was forced to acknowledge you, forced to be aware of every twitch of your hand or every flutter of your eyelids. To him, you were something that demanded attention, even if it was taken from him through gritted teeth.
The only reprieve from his spiraling was the fact that you felt the same way about him. He liked to imagine that you were just as obsessed with him, sitting there in the late hours of the night writing down equations with him as your sole motivator.
But then he finds out that he's not even occupying your mind, and he loses his shit.
"Oh Elias? Yeah I guess he's fine. Huh? Rivals? What the- no way I just want good grades. He has nothing to do with it haha."
You just said it in passing when someone teased you about it, and he knew that he shouldn't linger on your words for too long. If anything, it should make him feel better. You had nothing against him, so it meant everything was fine, right? Wrong. It was so wrong.
Elias was seething, nearly throwing a tantrum. How could you not even think about him. Him! You were some piddling, pathetic excuse for a human being, and you had the audacity to not even regard him when he spent nearly every waking moment thinking about you.
He was fine just watching you from the corner of his eye. He was fine knowing that on some level, the two of you had a respectable if not distant relationship. Just because in some aspect, he wanted a piece of you all to himself. And if you weren't going to let him just have a little bit of your life, your passion, your drive, he would just take all of you instead.
He follows you into the library late one night. You're sitting there, glowing in the warmth of the nearest lamp while your pen makes soft scratching noises against the paper. You look pretty. You've always looked pretty to him. You don't notice him as he approaches, and he feels any vestiges of doubt or restraint float away. Even now, as he loomed over you, you didn't even spare him a glance.
The library was empty. He made sure it was so before hand, and he's glad he did. The quite air was shattered by the sound of him shoving you over the priceless lacquered wood desk. Your eyes go wide as you take him in, and his hands fly up to your throat.
"Augh! What are you-?"
"Shut up." He hisses and narrows his gaze. Your pulse is racing underneath his fingers, and he has half a mind not to crush your windpipe into oblivion so that he can be the last one to feel it. "You have no idea," He mutters and leans in close. Your frightened breath ghosts over his skin, and he shudders. Now that he thinks about it, this is the first time he's ever been so close to you. It feels so right. He never wants to be away from you again. Not when you look so damn alluring with tears rolling down your cheeks and your clothes rumpled on the floor by his feet.
He wants you like this always, with your twitching cunt stuffed full of his fingers and your cries filling his ears. Soft, wet squelching noises met each of his ministrations, and a cruel, wonder filled grin spread across his face.
"You have no idea how much you've driven me wild," He laughs. It's a sharp sound that grates on your ears. "How much you infuriate me," Each word is punctured by a thrust, by a curling motion that has you gasping and seeing stars.
If this is what he has to do so that you notice him, so you will just fucking care about his existence more than you would any other speck of dust on the street, then so be it.
It only gets worse from there.
Elias takes photos of you. So many. Ones of your crying face, ones of your leaking pussy, some of him shoving his dick past your puffy lips. Once the camera shuttered and they were in his hands, it was all over.
He played the role of your boyfriend after that.
There wasn't a moment where he wasn't hovering over your shoulder, whispering threats into your ears. He gets you to start doing worse in your classes and on your assignments, and for once, he's happy. He finally has your eyes on him, and if you ever try to leave him or say anything, then he'll make sure you can never show your face around here again. Don't worry, though. He's kind enough to keep it so you won't fail outright. In fact, he'll just slip some money to some of the professors so you don't have to do anything other than sit on his lap and pay attention to him while he actually works for the top spot.
Elias takes you out on fancy dates as if it's any way to soothe the sting of having your life ruined. He pays for everything and practically preens under the feeling of finally getting what he wants. He's such a brat, and he doesn't even care about hiding it when he's with you. Part of the reason why he likes you is he can be his nasty, awful and conniving self and you have no choice but to accept it. He doesn't mind if you're reluctant or stubborn. In fact, he kind of likes it because in the end, you still gave in to have a chance to graduate from a prestigious school. And plus, now you're living the high life with him! It's kind of a win win if you think about it.
He loves having you sit on your knees (a cushion underneath them of course. He wouldn't want you to ever actually get hurt) and taking his cock in your mouth while he studies. You look so cute like that, with your eyes all narrowed in mildly hidden frustration, and he loves it even more when he thrusts into your throat. You always make these little spluttering noises that just drive him wild, and he clamps his thighs around your head to keep you there.
Elias who soon becomes the university's beloved model student. He's not going to let anyone get in his way ever again, especially not after he has you to provide for now. After all, he's got plans for you. Once he manages to put a baby in you, he'll know that your future family is secured, and he's got to support all of you. There's no way he can fail now!

So I've seen you mention fics in the tags of some of your art and I'm just wondering if you write fanfics???
I do, though not very often! I wrote The devil wears black and I'm currently writing a post second movie one from the Doctor's POV. Here's a scene just in case I never do finish it
When Robotnik was around 4 years old, bored with the coloring books and the rhymes in the ones that actually had words, he had read about symbiotic relationships, and concluded it was a good enough way to classify human interaction.
Parasitism was easy enough to understand, and something to be avoided. He knew himself extraordinary, and was aware of how that could attract all kinds of leeches to him. He couldn't allow anyone to benefit from his spoils while actively harming him. If he was prone to that kind of analysis, maybe Robotnik would claim that was when his paranoia and distrust began to build. In reality, he considered that his default mode ever since birth.
Mutualism seemed like something to aspire to, beneficial for both parties, strong. Unfortunately, Robotnik would later learn that while lots of people –and institutions– wanted something from him, rarely did they have anything to offer. He was self-sufficient, and although some things he couldn't get on his own, he was sure he could find suitable replacements if he felt so inclined. Mutualism was rare, perhaps even unrealistic, at least for him.
Commensalism was stupid. Even if he wasn't being harmed, why would he allow someone else to benefit from him without giving anything in return? Sounded like slightly more subtle parasites, in his opinion.
So Ivo Robotnik learned to live surrounded by leeches and ticks.
People, yes. Foster parents who only wanted the benefits of having a genius at home, colleges that wanted him to attend even if they had nothing to teach him, because his presence made things more prestigious, government organizations that intended to put a leash on him, to guide his genius like it belonged to them.
He managed. He learned when to say no and when to say yes, when he could tolerate the sting and painstakingly squeeze some benefits for himself.
He didn't reconsider his stance on commensalism until he got Agent Stone assigned to him. Robotnik didn't actually need him, he had lived more than enough on his own to be confident in that assessment, but… having him around actually didn't hurt. Stone never took from him, never subtracted. He just attached himself to the Doctor, clearly got some things out of it, but without stealing them from him. Like a barnacle.
What do whales think of the barnacles that cling to them? Do they even notice? Robotnik certainly did notice his, but found he didn't actually mind. Even while knowing that Stone held on waiting for future compensation, he found that it was acceptable. When he eventually revealed his true nature as yet another parasite, Robotnik concluded, it would be fine, for he, unlike everyone else, had earned it. The Doctor had bled for lesser men, he could spare a few drops for a pest that at least was loyal.
The idea that he could be the parasite had never occurred to him before.
Ivo Robotnik was the man with the resources, the one with the brains and the plans and the irreplaceability. People wanted, needed things from him. Even when he was a child, an orphan with nothing but his half-baked plans and the few spare parts he could collect and transform, it was easy to see potential in him. It was easy to know he had a lot to offer, if one was willing to take the risk of trying to steal it.
Ivo Robotnik had nothing now, defenseless and empty in a way he had never been. He couldn't even move. He couldn't even build or create or think. And he was only alive because he was taking from his own agent.
Subtracting.
There weren't mosquitoes in the crab, but Robotnik could almost visualize it. Stone distractedly slapping his hand on his own arm to eliminate the pest. Looking at it, at the tiny trace of blood with disgust. Then pausing, turning towards the Doctor, who couldn't move and wouldn't speak and had nothing anymore, and realizing…
Well, the crab was underwater and mostly free of living organisms, except for Stone himself and, if one felt inclined to count him, Robotnik, so that wasn't realistic.
The image still played in his mind every now and then.
#ask ask ask#stobotnik#yeah this one is a bit angstier...#for now! i think he's about to get silly after#*checks document*#around 5k worth of words#i haven't reread the thing so if there are mistakes no there aren't

surprised i haven’t see any fox lives aus exploring the idea of palpatine sending fox to hemlock/tantiss after getting his neck snapped Hemlock hesitates, staring through the glass window of the examination room and observing its main occupant. His medical staff fusses over their patient, a clone, as they record his vitals and situate the room for long term occupancy. "It is... Unlikely, that this clone will ever walk again, Your Majesty. The damage done to his neck is irreversible, that he even retained mobility in his torso is—" Hemlock had said. He was scrolling through a rather dire injury report. The Emperor waved his hand dismissively, black robes flowing with the motion. "I am aware, but what I require is not impossible. I will take care of the most severe damages to my commander..." My commander? Hemlock looked away from the datapad and to the immobile clone floating in the bacta tank. "...And when the time comes, I will require your facility to do the rest."
Hemlock refrained from frowning, keeping his expression neutral, albeit a bit dubious. If Emperor Palpatine wanted to waste his time with a lost cause, he wouldn't argue. Not as long as he continued to receive the necessary resources and further funding for his projects. Now, when Hemlock gazes upon that same clone all those months ago, he sits properly upright on the examination table, back straight and form perfect like a soldier. The clone turns his head, his golden eyes-a deviation from the standard brown, colour bordering unnatural in a human- meeting Hemlock's through the glass. Hemlock raises a brow in response but the clone doesn't react, only breaking eye contact when one of the medical aids calls for his attention. Folding his arms behind his back, Hemlock turns to stalk down the hall. He would never say it aloud, but he was irked that this... Chore was now his responsibility. He was a scientist! A progressive researcher and an invaluable asset to the Empire. That his facility is being forced to take on the task of physical therapy and rehabilitation, of all things, for one simple, damaged clone was insulting.
Hemlock exhales, forcing his posture to relax. His Imperial Majesty was making a mistake, clearly, but it was no matter. Hemlock would only need to check in occasionally; he could still focus his efforts where it really matters. His commander would be carefully monitored in the meantime, and maybe, Hemlock could learn how Palpatine managed to reverse what should have been a deathly injury. ♠♠♠♠
i imagine palpatine does ambiguous hand wave force healing to get fox back into tip top shape. well mostly back. fox still has a lot to work through. and then sends him off to wherever hemlock is, for reasons. he doesnt need hemlock's facility to host fox, he could easily give fox the care he needs closer to home. so maybe to have fox keep an eye on him and his progress, who knows really from there i kinda have a few paths this could take, one with omega eventually coming across fox, being mildly interested in him(he's not held in a cell like the rest of the clones, he's not a commando, why is he here?) and maybe later, nala se assigns her to him to keep her further out of the way of hemlock. all leading up to when omega and crosshair escape, she insists fox comes with them. fox doesnt want to (paranoid), crosshair doesnt want him to(also paranoid). think of the fox and rex reunion... the echo confrontation... the wolffe reunion... howzer bitching at both crosshair and fox... the drama of it all. another idea being fox meeting scorch again. since arca company barracks are stationed on coruscant, i imagine that fox has run into delta squad at least once. delta wasn't on coruscant often, and fox is busy guy. probably also doesn't care much for sobde either. (i imagine him and maze sending very petty emails to each other. fox saying "fuck you, i outrank you captain" in corporate)
and maybe when shit goes down on tantiss, he convinces scorch to dip with him. "you got your ass kicked, man. let's go."
throughout all of this fox maintains a creepy, unsettling presence on the base.
#star wars#commander fox#fic#?#my mind is an ocean of ideas so mid#ignore the awkward prose i am not a writer and i did this on my phone in one go no drafts we ball#dovepost#science project au

live, laugh, y/n!
‣ y/n (my melody): business admin/management major, wants to be a human resources manager for a corporation in the future. she's addicted to matcha lattes (specifically with oat milk) and has a huge passion for music festivals and concerts, particularly electronic dance music events. her chaotic yet fun-loving spirit is what her friends love most about her—she’s always down for anything and everything. in chenle's words, "what a down ass friend fr".
‣ karina (cinnamoroll): majoring in early childhood development with a psychology minor, she dreams of becoming a kindergarten teacher. her natural nurturing qualities make her the "mom" of the group, always giving great advice and is the #1 person you run to for comfort. poor girl is a lightweight with everything... but at least she can hang! she's patient, empathetic, and did i mention she's drop dead beautiful?
‣ ningning (kuromi): the sassy bombshell who's a hospitality major with aspirations of becoming a corporate event planner. she's the organizer of the group, always making sure their trips and events go off without a hitch. whether it’s a casual hangout or a full-on vacation, she's the reason why they "made it out of the group chat". queen of standing on business... literally.
‣ chenle (pochacco): a sports management major not because of stephen curry but because he's obsessed with the sports industry as a whole. he's the type to always has some game or match streaming, no matter where you are. like why are we watching basketball reels at the club? not to mention, he's the king of scoring tickets for events, count on him during presale!
‣ renjun (pompompurin): surprisingly, he's a nursing major on track to become a pediatric registered nurse. like karina, he loves working with kids but has chosen the medical path instead. he's the responsible one in the friend group, always prepared and looking out for everyone. he's actually crazy— not in a bad way, more like how does a nursing student pull all these missions and benders back to back? renjun is just god sent according to ningning (is she wrong tho) (all hail renjun)
the "sanrihoes" group formed during their first year of college when they all lived in the same dorm building, just on different floors. karina and y/n were roommates and ningning roomed right next to them (she basically had the room to herself because her assigned roommate never came... rip). initially, they met through a series of study sessions and campus events, but their bond truly solidified after attending a university-hosted music festival together. despite their different majors and interests, they found common ground in their shared energy for college life, late-night hangouts, and their love for edm. since then, they've been inseparable.

Sweet Revenge Leads to Rotten Teeth: Chapter 1
Alastor X Fem Angel of Music Reader, Past Lucifer X Reader.

Masterlist
A loud knock jolted Charlie out of her early morning daze. It was early in the morning, guests were meandering down for breakfast in the dining room while Vaggie was cooking. She had been starting on coffee as the knock rang out from the front door. Her smile brightened as she made her way to the door.
Ever since the early extermination, and the hotel being reconstructed, more guests had been checking in for redemption. Not many, but more than before.
Charlie cleared her throat, ready to greet the sinner awaiting on the other side of the door. However instead of being met with a wayward soul seeking redemption, she was instead greeted with an envelope.... with wings?
Confused she held her hand out, the envelope landing gracefully in her palm, wings poofing away as it made contact. Stepping back inside, she let the door swing closed and began to read. She had only gotten halfway through before a loud whine could be heard throughout the whole of the first floor.
Rushing into the dining room where everyone was assembled for breakfast she called out.
“Oh my gosh, oh my gosh you guys. We did it! I can’t believe it!” she squelled out.
“Uh... what did we go?” Angel replied back, clearly hungover and desperate need of a strong cup of coffee.
“Love?” Vaggie called as she walked out of the kitchen, mixing bowl and whisk tucked into her arm. Lucifer was not far behind her standing in the doorway.
“Oh Vaggie! Listen to this.” Charlie’s smile was ready to split her face in twain as he lifted the letter to read.
“To Charolette Morningstar, princess of the realm of Hell.
It has come to our attention that you have been attempting to encourage and standardize redemption in Hell utilizing a project known as the “Has Been Hotel”. We fear that due to a recent meeting with angelic hosts you are now under the impression that the authorities of Heaven have no interest in redeeming human souls.
This is patently untrue and we deeply apologize for the confusion that this must have caused.
Rest assured that these recent “exterminations” are being thoroughly investigated by the higher heavenly beings. If we understand the venture correctly, these were a waste of angelic time, resources and most importantly human souls. On behalf of the counsel of archangels we deeply and sincerely apologize for this oversight in our management of Heaven.
As a show of goodwill, we would like to extend our assistance in your current project. We have assigned an archangel to stay with you for the next six months to assist you in running this ‘hotel’ and allow you access to Heavenly resources. This angel was hand-picked to assist you and has tailored knowledge of human minds and emotions that we hope can assist you further.
We as the counsel of Archangels understand that this does not erase our inadvertent involvement in the pain and suffering you and your subjects have surely faced. However, we genuinely hope that you will accept this olive branch so that we may begin to work together in creating a better afterlife for all.
Regards.
The Members of the Counsel of Archangels.
Signed: Chamuel, Gabriel, Haniel, Jophiel, Michael, Zadkiel, Anael and Y/N.
To response to the missive simply hold in both hands, state your name and your decision either way.”
Charlie looked up as she finished. Everyone looked shocked. Fuck, even she was shocked. This was not the impression she had received of heaven at all.
“Excuse me Vaggie” Lucifer gestured to move forward. He moved over to his daughter quickly; she angled the paper so he could see.
“I mean fuck,” he said as he looked over the document “That’s their signatures alright. I forgot how awful Haniel’s penmanship is.”
“Wait so you're saying this thing is legit!?” Husk called out from the corner of the room.
A small kindle of holy fire burst from Lucifers hand. He held it under the paper, but before the flames could reach up and lick the edges of the parchment a surge of golden energy shot out from the document. The burst causing everyone in the room to jolt and the holy fire in Lucifers palm to dissipate in a puff of smoke.
“Yeah, I’d say it’s real alright” Lucifer replied, shaking out his hand from the impact.
The air was still in the room, silence engulfing everything as they all sat there, absorbing this new information.
“So” the faded, filtered voice of Alastor rang out in the room. All eyes turning to him at the end of the table, leaned back with his legs crossed. “Are you going to accept their invitation?” he asked.
Charlie's faces fell slightly. “Oh umm, I don’t” her brows creased as she looked at Vaggie.
“Listen Charlie” she started as she walked over to her partner “Heaven has been nothing but trouble for us since we started the hotel. I’ll support you no matter what, but I just want you to consider who were talking about before you make your decision.” Vaggie reached out, taking Charlie's hand in both of her own and squeezing reassuringly.
“To play, well huh my own advocate here” Lucifer laughed waiting for others to join in, quickly clearing his throat as no voice raised to match his own. “Archangels are very prideful. I should know I am one. And heavenly beings like them do not apologize to almost anyone. And they apologized twice in this thing. Follow your heart on this but I would consider it at the very least.”
Charlie looked around, trying to find the answer to her dilemma in the faces of her friends. She closed her eyes a moment, taking in a deep breath through her nose. She retracted her hand from Vaggie’s and gripped both side of the parchment.
“I Charlie Morningstar, princess of the realm of Hell.... accept your offer” A small glimmer of gold shone over the paper; Charlie could feel it on her fingertips. It was warm and buzzing, like the purring of a cat.
Text then began to appear at the bottom of the page. Charlie squinted to read it.
“PTO? What does PT... please turn ov- OH" Charlie flipped that page over and began reading once more.
“We are exceptionally grateful for your mercy in allowing us to work with you. As a courtesy we have allotted three days for you to prepare before we will be sending down our ambassador.”
“Wonder who they're throwing us?” Lucifer questioned aloud, pouring himself a glass of juice from a pitcher on the table and beginning to drink.
“Archangel Y/n will be whom you are” Loud coughing interrupted Charlie. Lucifer was grabbing at this chest, painful gasps of air leaving his throat. Alastor could be heard from the end of the table laughing hysterically at the king’s pain.
As Lucifer got his bearing he spoke up. “Please repeat that name again?”
Charlie looked at him concerned before looking back on the paper.
“Uhh Archangel Y/n?” She confirmed.
Lucifer was shaking as he pulled out a seat, sitting down and staring blankly in front of him before uttering one single word.
“Fuck”

WORKMAN COMPSENTATION CLAIM
DRC, Administration & Management Office, Human Resources Division
To: DRC Claims Review Board
From: Employee ID [REDACTED]
Date: [REDACTED]
Subject: Rise in Compound Work Injury Claims
I. Claim Summary
Mr. [REDACTED] (Employee ID# HS-137-611), assigned to the Gestational Support Command, has submitted a claim for work-related injuries sustained during routine surrogate handling duties at Paternity Compound 137. The claim outlines physical injuries attributed to interactions with surrogates during a personal monitoring session, specifically citing muscular strain, joint stress, and abrasions incurred as part of the surrogate gratification procedures.
II. Incident Description
At 13:20 on [REDACTED], Employee HS-137-611 was assigned to conduct a physical engagement of Surrogate S137-614-P, who was at +19 days gestation with sexdecuplets (16). The surrogate’s condition was flagged as an unusually high degree of prenatal nymphomania, a behavioral side effect frequently observed in most surrogates. The evaluation was intended to reduce the surrogate’s discomfort and agitated mood to return to behavioral stability.
Upon initiation of the session, the surrogate began exhibiting heightened physical restlessness and compulsive behaviors consistent with gestational hormonal surges. Employee HS-137-611 attempted to follow established engagement protocols, which required direct physical insertion to stabilize the surrogate and manage their urges. However, the surrogate’s extreme abdominal size and mobility issues created an unpredictable environment, leading to a series of complications for the employee.
III. Details of Injuries Sustained
Lower Back Strain: The surrogate's advanced abdominal distension significantly limited the employee’s ability to maintain proper ergonomic positioning during the session, resulting in sustained stress on the lumbar region. The weight and movement of the surrogate’s abdomen further exacerbated this strain, especially during heightened activity.
Abrasion Injuries: The surrogate’s unexpected movements resulted in significant friction-related abrasions to the employee's arms and chest. Mr. [REDACTED] indicated that the surrogate’s movements were both unpredictable and forceful, making it difficult to avoid these injuries.
Joint Pain in Wrists and Knees: The employee reported experiencing joint pain in both wrists and knees due to the physical responsiveness to engagement, which required the employee to repeatedly shift positioning to maintain control and ensure safety during the session. These adjustments placed excessive pressure on weight-bearing joints, contributing to localized inflammation and discomfort.
IV. Contributing Factors
The surrogate’s unpredictable reactions have been cited as a significant factor in the injuries sustained due to more vigorous and prolonged activity than is typical during surrogate gratification procedures. Despite attempts to adhere to standard protocol, the surrogate’s heightened state rendered many of these measures insufficient, forcing the employee to rely on adaptive physical engagement techniques that increased the risk of injury.
V. Statements
Employee
"Look, I was just doing what the protocol said, but this preggo was on another level. He was completely out of control—so worked up I could barely keep up. I tried shifting around to get a better angle, but his sheer size made it impossible to keep my footing. I’m just saying, if these guys are gonna get this worked up, someone’s gotta think about the toll it’s taking on us."
Surrogate
"I don’t know what the big deal is. I just… I couldn’t help it, okay? These babies are all fighting for space in there, and I can feel them all the time—kicking, squirming—it’s too much! Is he complaining about his back?! I’m the one who’s gained 210 lbs in three weeks!"
VI. Medical Evaluation
Employee HS-137-611 was evaluated by the Paternity Compound 137 medical staff, who confirmed the following injuries:
Grade II lower back strain
Bilateral wrist tendonitis
Surface abrasions on the arms and chest
The employee has requested:
Paid medical leave for two weeks to recover from the injuries.
Additional training for handling surrogates exhibiting heightened hormonal behaviors.
Sedatives to be applied to high-risk surrogates to reduce the risk during compliance procedures.
Pending further investigation, the DRC Claims Review Board will determine the validity of Mr. [REDACTED] (Employee ID# HS-137-611) workman’s compensation claim. The board recognizes the physical demands placed on staff during surrogate engagements and will consider adjustments to safety protocols to prevent future incidents.
This case highlights the need for ongoing staff training and protective measures when interacting with surrogates in advanced gestation to ensure the safety of DRC employees.
VII. Overall Employee Injury Statistics
Late-stage surrogates with high multiples exhibit a combination of extreme physical changes and heightened hormonal states, which frequently result in unpredictable and physically demanding interactions for staff.
Injury Rates
Employees handling surrogates carrying +12 fetuses report injuries at a rate [REDACTED]% higher than those managing surrogates with fewer multiples.
The most common injuries include [REDACTED], muscular strain, abrasions, [REDACTED], and joint-related stress.
Severe injuries, such as fractures or nerve damage, account for [REDACTED]% of reported cases, often attributed to surrogate-related behavioral outbursts or sudden physical engagement.
High-Risk Gestational States
Surrogates at +10 days gestation show a significant increase in hormonal behaviors, including restlessness, compulsiveness, and enhanced physical responsiveness. These factors directly contribute to the likelihood of employee injuries.
The combination of extreme abdominal distension, weight gain, and prenatal hormonal surges creates a uniquely hazardous working environment for staff.
Behavioral Challenges
Surrogates carrying +12 fetuses are [REDACTED] as likely to exhibit heightened prenatal nymphomania, leading to increased physical demands on staff.
Conclusion
Without immediate intervention, the rising trend of injuries associated with surrogate management will continue to strain compound operations. The Gestational Support Command must prioritize the development of advanced handling protocols, expanded access to protective gear, and training programs tailored to high-multiple surrogates to safeguard employee well-being and maintain operational efficiency.
These statistics underscore the urgency of addressing the physical demands placed on staff in high-risk situations to reduce injury rates and ensure a sustainable working environment.

Two sides of a Gem
Aventurine x (stoneheart)reader
Preview [ Part1 ]
Reader will be known as ruby, will appear as a male stoic and monotone. But it's actually just a puppet. No one knows where the real ruby is and what she's up to, she just let's her puppet do her work, and most people only know the puppet as ruby and not her true self, Aventurine will meet the real ruby known as Y/N:
A.N: it's not proofread, and English is not my first language, so I apologize for any mistakes
Aventurine sat in the chair his office, playing around with a poker chip between his fingers while he let out a sigh seeing the stack of paperwork a colleague just dropped on his desk, he'd rather do anything else than that, he will have to take care of it eventually. After a few minutes of glaring at the stack of documents he reluctantly picked the first paper reading its contents as a knock on the door disrupted him, he looked up as the door opened and his secretary walked in "I'm sorry to disturb you Mr.Aventurine, but opal has called all stonerhearts to a meeting in 20 minutes"
Aventurine let's out a sigh, before showing his usual smile
"Alright, finally an excuse to not do this paperwork, thank you for informing me, your dismissed"
His secretary nodded and turned to leave the office closing the door behind her.
Aventurine got up and stretched, he checked his phone for any messages, before making his way out the office.
"AVENTURINE!" an angry voice came from behind
As he turned around he was met with an very angry topaz,
"You made me invest in this failed project on purpose didn't you!"
Aventurine held up his hand in mock surrender smirking "what makes you say that, I would never"
"Don't act all suprised you did this on purpose!" She pointed her finger at him
"I swear when I told you about the investment the project was doing well" he chuckled which made topaz even angrier, she opened her mouth but was stopped by jade " now now are you two fighting again?"
"Madam jade" topaz greeted her
"You two fight like little kids" a monotone voice chimed in.
Next to jade stood ruby, a tall man with red hair and redish eyes in his usual stoic demeanor, he just shook his head and walked past them towards the meeting room.
Topaz frowned "sometimes I'm asking myself if he's even human he's so ...cold..."
Aventurine chuckled "makes him kinda terrifying"
Jade chuckled, "well, good looking, strong, smart and terrifying, a good combination if you ask me, makes the job easier"
Everyone took their seats as opal entered the room.
"Good morning everyone, I'm glad you all made it" opal glanced at ruby then walked up to his seat and sat down.
"Let's begin, diamond and I looked over your recent projects, most of them have been very successful, aventurine and ruby, both of you managed high risk projects and completed them successfully". Aventurine smirked, playing with his poker chip. "Well, seems like I have quite the competition, completing high risk, and dangerous projects" he smirked at ruby who just stared back at him.
Opal cleared his throat and began assigning the new projects to each stoneheart
" Signal transmissions from Jarilo-VI have been detected by the IPC, Due to it's isolated and dangerous natural environment, Jarilo-VI lost contact with other worlds after the appearance of the Cancer of All Worlds."
He pointed to the documents he had distributed to each Stoneheart.
"We need someone to go down there and collect the overdue dept, and secure some properties for the IPC".
While the other stonehearts began to discuss the case topaz read the documents in silence, something about Jarilo-VI situation reminded her about her own home, That planet was extreme resource-poor. Therefore people need to worked laboriously, manufacturing product to created an export products to other civilizations in the universe. Most insisted on chemical and heavy industries. Which slowly turn planet to become a toxic environment. People with enough money buy tickets to leave a planet while the rest were waited for their death.
Until one day The IPC came to her home planet and use their technology to heal damaged environment. As an payment, all of the planet inhabitants become IPC employees. In only a few years after the contract, the planet biosphere is healed completely. She made up her mind "I'll take this case"
The other stonehearts turned to her in suprise. "That planet seems like a waste of time" Sugilite looked at topaz and closed the documents uninterested. "But it wouldn't be fair to simply ignore Jarilo-VI situation" pearl chimed in.
Aventurine leaned back in his chair "Jarilo-VI is is a high-risk, low-reward case, why bother to take it on. Your kind heart can be more of a liability than an asset in cases like this, dont you agree ruby?" Avebturni adjusted his glasses and smirked at ruby who's been quiet till now. The attention of the room shifte all gazes fell on ruby waiting for an answer "Jarilo-VI is indeed a high risk project, but, if topaz is confident in her abilities I don't see why she shouldn't try it"
Jade chuckled "I agree with ruby, if topaz wishes to take over the Jarilo-VI project, let her do it"
"Alright that settles it then, topaz will take over the Jarilo-VI project " opal declared "as for aventurine, we have an opertunity to reclaim what once belonged to the ipc, we received an invitation for the upcoming charmony festival in penacony, that seem like the right job for you don't you think?"
Aventurine tossed his poker chip in the air "quiet the risky gamble, high risk high rewards" he chuckled as he caught the chip.
Opal ended the meeting and everyone gathered to leave.
"Ruby, wait" called out to him as he stopped in his tracks and turned around. She walked up to him "thank you ...if you haven't spoke in my favor I probably wouldn't have gotten the chance to take the Jarilo-VI project"
Ruby stared at her for a moment "no need to thank me, if your confident in your abilities to handle this project there's no reason to deny you the opertunity, though, if you fail the consequences are on you" Tooaz smiled up at him "Don't worry I'm aware of the risks and consequences".
"Very well, good luck then" ruby nodded before turning around and walking off.
"I really advise against taking this project" Aventurines voice cut through the silence" topaz looked at him sharply "like you advised me to invest in this failed project" Aventurine chuckled "Oh come on your still mad about this".
............................
Later that night:
Ruby leaned against the wall of his living room gazing out the window as he recounted today's events to the other person on the call.
"Penacony huh?" A feminine voice mused on the other side of the line "so what are you planning to do?" Ruby asked "it's indeed very risky but I could ..."
He heared a chuckled from the other side of the line "no no, I'm sure they won't just let two stonerhearts check into the hotel, so leave this one to me, I'll be there anyways"
"Understood"

First things first, I'm gonna be rewriting my fic due to new ideas flowing in.
Secondly, let me info dump some things about sparklings in my AU.
The Sparkling's name in this pic is Firefly. She's an Oplita kid.
A Sparkling's gender is in the optic color. Female Cybertronians will have cooler or lighter tones of the color they have. While males will have a more warm hue of said color. As an example of this, Starscream, who was originally forged as female, has a more pink color to the red of his optics. A Cybertronian born as a male with red optics will have more of a fiery orange tint to it, Grimlock and various Decepticons being prime examples. On the rare occasion that a Sparkling is born without an assigned gender, they will have the base color of optics and will be referred to as neutral pronouns. Nightshade is a great example of this. Gender can be changed in the future when and if they decide to.
On the topic of optic colors, the color of the child's optics will be based on the parents. If a Cybertronian with red optics is to forge a Sparkling with a Cybertronian with yellow optics, the chances of that child being born with orange optics is highly likely, with the rare cases of heterochromia occurring with both the eye colors of the parents. 'Pure color' optics, a rather derogatory term, is where a Sparkling has unmixed optics and has had parents with the same optic color, those two being typically red and yellow. Optic colors can also be slightly changed with a film over the optic, much like a colored contact lense, though, it is usually easy to tell.
Sparklings are born with only one base color, a white or light gray (debatable by cyber-parents) this color is the base color of the metal they are made of. A metal that grows with them and allows their bodies to change voluntarily into whatever mode they wish with some limitations based on heritage and age. Typically, they develop the ability to transform once they are six cycles (6 million human years) old.
Sparklings can change their paint jobs when they are old enough to transform. They also can change their colorings whenever they please as adults. The colorings that are typically chosen matter based on the colors of their parent(s)/guardian(s).
Much like human children, they develop to speak coherently at a toddler age. During their infant and newborn stages, they typically babble in unintelligible Cybertronian, which consists of cybernetic sounds and rumbles. Purring is not something only Sparklings possess. Adult Cybertronians also have the ability to purr and do it quite often to convey contentment or happiness to a situation or individual that makes them feel positive emotions. Cooing is something mostly maternal or paternal figures do in front of their offspring or anything they deem fit to be under their care. Typically, those who transform into avian vehicles coo to their young.
Female Cybertronians are typically more aggressive than males. Originally, in Cybertronian history, females were bigger than the males, dominating the planet until they were nearly all wiped out. Over time, and the lack of resources from hiding, they became smaller, some even becoming male to avoid scrutiny. Because of the shortage of females, homosexual relationships are quite common within the males of Cybertron. Some of the females who have managed to escape Cybertron have populated other planets where it is nearly all female.
Avian based infant Sparklings will likely learn how to run or move quickly with the thrusters built into their bodies, typically their backs or feet. While land based Sparklings will learn on their wheels or just like human children.

Sirius Black Vs The Wards: Why Death Eaters Weren’t Invited To Tea
We’ve all heard it: “Hogwarts is the safest place in the wizarding world.” But who actually set those protections? How do they work? And more importantly—why do they fail in such spectacular fashion when a certain Animagus wants to drop in for a visit? Let’s take a look at the foundations of these fabled defences—and why they might be more aesthetic than foolproof?
🏰 Who Set the Wards on Hogwarts?
✔️ Hogwarts is protected by centuries-old enchantments laid by the Founders and reinforced by successive Headmasters—currently, Dumbledore.
These wards include:
Anti-Apparition barriers
Muggle-repelling charms
Detection wards for dark magic
Protective enchantments layered into the very stone
Sounds airtight? Hold that thought.
🐺 So How Did Sirius Black Break In?
✔️ He was an unregistered Animagus. The wards don’t detect animals the same way they detect humans. ✔️ He had intimate knowledge of the school grounds from his time as a Marauder. ✔️ He had access to:
The Marauder’s Map (the blueprint of Hogwarts mischief)
Secret passageways hidden even from the staff
Decades of experience evading authority
📌 The Ministry’s Dementors were stationed around Hogwarts—but they couldn’t detect him in his Animagus form. And if they did? They still needed direct proximity.

Sirius snuck in multiple times. Into the castle. Into the Gryffindor dormitories. And what was the school’s response?
“Board up the Fat Lady’s portrait. That’ll fix it.”
🐍 Meanwhile… THE DEATH EATERS
Here’s where the logic falls apart spectacularly:
Death Eaters—many of them former students—can’t get in.
We’re talking Bellatrix, Lucius, Narcissa, Travers, Rookwood, Yaxley, Dolohov, and other former Slytherin alumni—even Voldemort himself. These were witches and wizards with significant magical ability and extensive history at Hogwarts. And yet... not one of them could find a way in without relying on a teenager and a piece of broken furniture? Suspiciously neglected. Strategically nonsensical.
They knew the castle. They lived there. Yet none of them could break in?
So what does Voldemort do?
Assigns Draco Malfoy, a sixteen-year-old schoolboy, the impossible mission of assassinating Dumbledore—as punishment for Lucius' failure at the Ministry.
Under immense pressure and with no adult help, Draco devises his own plan: fix a broken Vanishing Cabinet—which had been rotting in a corner like a half-assembled IKEA wardrobe—to sneak Death Eaters into the castle.
A dusty, half-forgotten wardrobe becomes the cornerstone of a death squad invasion—like someone planned a high-risk coup using magical flat-pack furniture and crossed their fingers it wouldn't collapse mid-assembly.

Let that sink in:
Full-grown Death Eaters couldn’t manage what a teenage fugitive dog animagus did three times over.
And here’s the kicker—Peter Pettigrew, the very Death Eater who faked his own death and lived as a rat for over a decade, knew about the secret tunnel between the Shrieking Shack and Hogwarts via the Whomping Willow. He had used it himself. So why didn’t he lead the Death Eaters through it?
Even if it was partially sealed or risky, surely it could’ve been reinforced faster than restoring a Vanishing Cabinet. Was Voldemort unaware of it? Or did he not trust a path once tied to the Marauders?
If speed and surprise were the goal, the Whomping Willow route seems a baffling omission. Dubious, darling. Deeply dubious.
🤯 THE IMPLICATIONS:
🔥 Sirius Black > Death Eaters in Hogwarts Infiltration
Sirius had deeper magical intuition, resourcefulness, and a working knowledge of the school’s blind spots.
The Marauders, collectively, understood Hogwarts better than most of the staff.
The Death Eaters, despite their power, relied on brute force and bypassing rather than subtlety.
And let’s not forget—his Animagus form was a dog. While it's never explicitly stated how the wards classify Animagi, it’s reasonable to assume that Sirius’ form allowed him to bypass the usual detection spells. Perhaps Hogwarts is accidentally pet-friendly—but not evil-detection efficient. Just ask Rita Skeeter, who snuck into places as a beetle without setting off a single alarm. So maybe the rule is: if you don’t look magical, you’re fine. You can sneak in if you look like a lovable stray—or an unremarkable insect. Good luck if you’re in full Death Eater robes, though.
🤨 Or… The Wards Are Dubiously Selective
Hogwarts’ security flexes depending on plot demands.
If Voldemort needed in, there’s always some reason he couldn’t—until Dumbledore was dead.
Are the wards magically intelligent? Or just wildly inconsistent?
Hogwarts: “No evil may enter—unless it’s disguised as a dog.”
🪞 Lingering Reflections:
This raises a serious (Sirius) question:
Was Sirius Black secretly one of the most magically competent characters in the series?
If so—why didn’t the Order use him better? Why wasn’t he teaching stealth? Why wasn’t he training students?
And perhaps more pressingly—why didn’t Dumbledore clear his name?
He knew Sirius was innocent. He had strong reason to believe the truth about Peter Pettigrew—ever since the events in the Shrieking Shack. Though he claimed he lacked proof after Pettigrew escaped, one must wonder why a wizard of Dumbledore’s stature couldn’t sway the Ministry or rally support. Instead, he let Sirius remain a fugitive, locked in Grimmauld Place, haunted and hunted.
Was it fear of public backlash? Political games? Or simply another case of Dumbledore trusting that “the greater good” would work itself out?
Or was it simply another oversight by the narrative so focused on the Chosen One that they forgot the Black sheep genius in the corner?

The base was still suffering from the infected breach two days later. The humanities, resources, and medical teams were working overtime. Supplies were running low, and most of the scavenging team had been injured in the attack, leaving only a handful of people available to go on supply runs.
You had been on the cure team for a while now, but just for today, you were assigned to go back to the scavenging team.
“You sure about this?” Chan asked, adjusting the strap of his bag as he watched you double-check your gear.
You sighed, securing your knife at your hip. “I’ve told you before. It isn’t my first rodeo.”
Chan frowned, his concern evident. “I don’t like this.”
“I’ll be fine. It’s just a quick trip to the old marketplace for medicine and food. In and out.”
“That’s what they all say,” he muttered, shaking his head.
You stepped closer, nudging his arm. “I’ll be careful. Promise.”
He exhaled sharply, his jaw tightening. “Then I’m coming with you.”
You blinked. “Shouldn’t you be here?”
“I was with the team yesterday,” he glanced at the necklace you were wearing that he had gotten you. “It would be good for me to go again. The team is short.”
Before you could argue, Minho called for everyone to move out.
Chan shot you a look, as if daring you to stop him, before falling into step beside you.
The streets were eerily quiet as your group moved through the ruins of the city. The crunch of debris under your foot never became less scary. You kept your hand close to your knife, scanning the alleyways for any sign of movement.
Chan walked close, his eyes flicking toward you every so often, making sure you were still at his side.
You noticed. “I feel like you’re giving me more special attention than the other hundred people in the base.”
Chan huffed out a quiet laugh, shaking his head. “Maybe because you’re one of the ones I care about more.” Your chest tightened at his words.
Minho quickly signaled the group to stop. The old marketplace was just ahead, its skeletal remains standing against the gray sky. Minho gave the orders quickly. Pairs only, in and out, no unnecessary risks, blah blah. The usual Minho speech. You were paired with Chan, which wasn’t surprising. You were starting to think he requested it.
As the two of you stepped into what used to be a small pharmacy, Chan kept close, his hand hovering near the strap of your bag as if ready to pull you back at a moment’s notice.
“Stay by me,” he murmured.
You rolled your eyes but obeyed, scanning the shelves for anything useful. Most of it had already been picked clean, but you managed to find some bandages, a few painkillers, and an old bottle of cough syrup that didn’t look completely expired.
“Better than nothing,” you whispered, stuffing the supplies into your bag.
Chan didn’t respond.
You turned to see him standing by the front window, his entire body tense.
“Chan?”
He glanced back at you, his voice barely above a whisper. “We’re not alone.”
Your grip on your knife tightened. From the back of the store, something shifted. A creak of wood. Then, a low, guttural growl.
Chan moved first, grabbing your wrist and pulling you behind him. “We need to go,” he whispered.
“I know what I’m doing.”
“That’s exactly what my sister said too.”
You froze. The weight of his words hung heavy between you, more than the fear of whatever was lurking in the shadows.
You tightened your grip on your knife and met his gaze. “We’re not like that,” you said softly. “We get out of here. Together.”
Chan’s jaw tensed, but he gave a small nod. He trusted you.
A sudden crash shattered the moment. An infected lunged from the darkness. A rotting body, its eyes milky white, its movements jerky and unnatural.
Chan shoved you aside, raising his weapon. You barely had time to regain your footing before another one came from the side, crawling over the counter, reaching for you with clawed fingers.
You slashed at it, your knife cutting deep into its chest, but it didn’t stop. It never stopped.
This infected was stronger than others.
Chan pulled his trigger, the bullet cracking against the first one’s skull. The body dropped, twitching. He grabbed your arm, pulling you toward the door. “Run.”
You didn’t argue this time.
Bursting into the street, you nearly collided with Minho and the others.
“Infected?” Minho asked, already raising his gun.
“A few,” Chan confirmed, glancing back. “More might be coming.”
“Then we’re done here,” Minho snapped, signaling the rest of the group. “Move out.”
As you ran, Chan stayed close, his breath coming fast. When you reached the edge of the ruins, he finally slowed, glancing at you. “You okay?”
You exhaled, nodding. “Yeah.”
His eyes flickered to your hands. They were bloodied from your stabbing, but steady.
“Good.” His voice was quiet. His his hand brushed against yours as if reassuring himself that you were still there. He didn’t care about the blood that painted his hands now.
You squeezed back. “That infected didn’t react to my stabs.”
He nodded, his brows furrowing. “I know. That’s not normal.”
You swallowed, your mind replaying the moment over and over. “I hit it deep, should’ve at least slowed it down.”
Minho, having overheard, slowed his pace and turned to face you both. “You’re saying they’re getting tougher?”
Chan exhaled sharply. “Or worse. They’re changing.”
You interrupted, “Let’s not be so sure though.”
Minho cursed under his breath. “You’re right. We’ll report this when we get back. If this becomes a pattern then we’ll address it.”
Minho caught back up to the front of the group to lead them. It was weird, normally when in the streets you could hear faint distant groans of infected. But, not today.
As you continued walking, Chan kept looking at you.
You rolled your eyes again. “I’m fine, Chan.”
His lips pressed into a thin line. “That’s not why I’m looking.”
You raised a brow. “Then why?”
“I can’t think you look nice?”
You huffed out a quiet laugh. “After running for our lives and getting covered in blood? Sure.”
He grinned. “Survivor chic. It’s a look.”
Despite the weight of what had just happened, you couldn’t help but smile. He always had a way of making things feel lighter, even if just for a moment.
“So,” you started, “how long are you gonna keep staring at me?”
“As long as I want.”
You shook your head, but the warmth in your chest spread all the same.
After a moment, his expression grew more serious. “That thing back there, when it didn’t react to your stabs-” he hesitated, as if choosing his words carefully, “it felt… off.”
You nodded slowly. “I know. But Minho’s right. One time isn’t a pattern.”
Chan exhaled, running a hand through his hair. “Yeah. Guess we’ll see.”
A beat of silence passed before he smirked again. “Until then, you still owe me another song request. I’ll play anything.”
“Fine, but only if you actually get some rest first.”
He grinned, “Deal.”
Then, another low growl.
The sound sent a chill down your spine, instantly alerting you that the quiet had only been temporary.
Chan’s expression shifted, his playful demeanor disappearing in an instant. His hand subtly moved to his gun, his eyes scanning the street ahead.
The growl was closer now. You could hear multiple footsteps, not just one. Then, more growls followed.
Infected began to pour into the street from every direction. The groups all turn to the team as if they’ve grown smart enough to plan this.
“Shit,” Minho cursed from the front of the group, his voice tight with tension. “We need to move. Now.”
Without needing any further prompting, the group split into action. You moved as the first infected stumbled into view, its body lurching toward you with unnatural speed.
“Stay focused,” Chan muttered, voice strained, as he grabbed your arm and yanked you to the side, narrowly avoiding an infected’s outstretched claws.
You didn’t need to be told twice. The air around you seemed to thicken with the stench of decay as more infected closed in. Your heart pounded in your chest, adrenaline surging as you gripped your knife tighter.
The first one you encountered came at you with a feral snarl, its skin cracked and peeling. You didn’t hesitate, slicing through the air with quick precision. The blade hit its mark, but the creature didn’t fall.
The world around you blurred as more infected swarmed, the cries and groans filling your ears. You fought, quick and calculated, but there were too many. It wasn’t just the usual group of slow-moving zombies, it was chaos.
“Behind you!” Chan shouted, just as another infected lunged at you from the side. You spun, slashing it down.
“Move! Now!” Minho’s voice rang out, and you barely caught sight of him signaling to retreat.
Chan’s grip tightened on your arm once more. “We need to go, now.”
You didn’t have time to be mad at him for controlling you around as you followed his lead, ducking under another infected’s claw swipe.
You ran, your legs burning, heart racing faster than it had in days. Chan kept pace with you, his movements sharp and decisive. He didn’t let you fall behind, guiding you toward an alley that offered temporary cover from the infected horde.
The team started to make a makeshift barricade with metal dumpsters and other sturdy objects in the alley. You helped position a trash can and strap it down with a bag strap.
Chan fell down to his knees, groaning and gripping his side.
You stopped in your tracks, the sight of Chan on the ground making your heart freeze in your chest. “Hey!” you called out, rushing toward him.
He looked up at you, his face pale, eyes wide with panic. "I'm fine," he gasped, trying to push himself up, but the effort only seemed to make his breath come in sharp, painful bursts.
"You're not fine," you shot back, kneeling beside him. "What happened?"
Chan grimaced, his hand trembling as it moved to his side, pulling his jacket away to reveal a nasty gash on his ribs, the skin already bruising and blood beginning to trickle out. But it wasn’t the wound that made your stomach churn. It was the bite mark.
Right there on his side, a deep, ugly wound, teeth marks from the infected. The world around you seemed to slow as you processed what you were seeing. His face paled even further as he noticed the look in your eyes, his expression faltering for just a moment before he forced a smile.
“It’s not… I didn’t feel it at first,” he muttered through clenched teeth. “Just a scratch. It didn’t seem bad-”
"That’s a bite!" You cut him off, panic rising in your chest. You could feel your hands shake as you reached for the wound, but he recoiled slightly, grimacing in pain.
“It’s not a full bite, just...just a scratch, really. I’ll be fine,” he tried to reassure you, but the panic in his voice betrayed him.
“No,” you breathed out, your mind racing. “We need to get you back to the base, now. This... this can’t wait.” The words felt so useless, yet you said them anyway.
He looked at you, his eyes locking with yours, his expression softening just a little. “You’ve been through enough already. Just… just get the others to safety.”
Your heart shattered. You knew what he was trying to do, protect you, keep you focused, but all you could see was the infection creeping into his skin, threatening to take him away from you.
“No. I’m not leaving you.” You shook your head, your voice shaking as you pulled him closer, trying to keep him steady.
The sound of more infected growling in the distance snapped you both back to reality. Minho shouted something to the group, and you could see the others rushing to finish the barricade, but your thoughts were still on Chan.
“Please,” you whispered, tears threatening to spill over. “We don’t know how long we have.”
He squeezed your hand, his smile weak but sincere. “You’re strong. You’ve always been-”
“Stop. Don’t talk like that-”
“I love you.”
Your words caught in your throat.
“I love you,” he repeated, his voice softer this time, the pain in his eyes more pronounced as he fought to keep them focused on you.
For a moment, everything else faded into the background. All you could hear was the pounding of your own heart, the way your breath stuttered as you tried to process his words.
“You love me?” you whispered, your voice shaky, uncertain.
He nodded weakly, his hand trembling in yours. “I’ve…I’ve loved you for so long. But I’ve tried to convince myself it’s instinct. Not anymore.”
You squeezed his hand tighter, not caring about the tears now slipping down your cheeks. “Don’t you dare say that. Don’t say things like that now.”
“I have to. You deserve to hear it, even if it’s just once.”
You shook your head fiercely, your heart aching as you tried to hold him steady. "Don’t talk like that. We’re going to make it. I’m not losing you.”
His eyes softened, a faint smile playing on his lips, despite the blood seeping from his side. “You’ve always been so strong, so sure. I don’t know how you do it, but I admire you for it. Just… please, promise me you won’t let them break you if…if anything happens.”
Your chest tightened. The thought of losing him made the world spin. “I won’t let anything happen to you. I won’t.” You couldn’t promise that the world wouldn’t break you. His grip on your hand faltered and his breathing became more labored. “Please don’t leave me, Chan.” you pleaded.
“I’m not leaving you,” he whispered, but his voice was barely audible now. His eyes fluttered closed, and you thought he might pass out. But then his fingers tightened slightly around yours, a weak sign that he was still with you.
You leaned forward, pressing your forehead against his, the words spilling from your lips in a breathless rush. “I love you too. I love you so much.”
His breath came in shallow gasps, but his lips twitched upward again, a faint smile that barely reached his eyes. The flicker of recognition was still there, just enough for you to hold onto.
“I know,” he whispered, his voice a raspy echo of the man you knew.
You refused to look at the blood, at the marks of the infection creeping up his side. You focused only on him, on the warmth of his hand in yours.
But then, a loud crash broke the quiet, followed by the unmistakable sound of infected screeching and scrambling toward your position.
Minho’s voice barked orders as the barricade was reinforced. “We need to move, now!”
The sound of the infected grew closer, louder. The barricade wouldn’t hold forever.
“Chan,” you whispered again, your grip tightening around him. “We need to move, please.”
He groaned softly, his body swaying with the effort of holding himself upright. You could feel the feverish heat radiating off him, the sickness overtaking him, but he still held on.
“I can’t… not like this,” he murmured. “You need to go. Please. Don’t let them catch you.”
“No. I’m not leaving you. I won’t.”
“You have to… You can’t stay. You…you’re too important.”
You are important. You carry a cure in your blood.
Oh.
You grab your knife and slash a cut in your hand.
Chan gasps, “What are you doing? Don’t hurt yourself!”
“Trust me.”
You move your hand over his wound and squeeze, letting your blood drip into the bite.
Chan’s breath caught, and his eyes widened in shock, his grip on your other hand tightened desperately. “No…what are you doing?”
“My blood.”
"Your blood?" he whispered, his voice thick with confusion and concern. "Why would you do that? It's too dangerous..."
"Trust me," you repeated, your voice steady despite the chaos surrounding you. "It's the only way. I don't know if it'll work, but I have to try.”
You felt the warmth of your own blood dripping down your hand. His eyes were still locked on you, filled with worry. Was he seriously worried that you cut your hand right now? He’s dying.
"Please..." Chan gasped, his body trembling. "You can't stay here, not with them so close. If they get to you-”
"You'll be fine," you cut him off, not believing the words yourself but saying them anyway. "We’ll be fine." You couldn't let him see the fear in your eyes, couldn’t let him know that you weren’t entirely sure if this would work, if your blood could truly stop the infection.
Minho came behind the two of you. “We need to move! Now!”
The barricade behind you groaned under the weight of the infected, the first cracks already appearing. You looked down at Chan, knowing time was running out.
His breathing was ragged and his skin was clammy. He wasn’t looking any better.
Minho moved to Chan’s side and then looked at you, “Help me lift the Captain.”

I don’t think Ne Zha 2 used Ai because I have seen behind the scenes videos on how the movie was made.
https://youtu.be/v7malQgDT_U?feature=shared
But this person on twitter/X is claiming the film used Ai (this person is a Disney fan so maybe that’s why)

https://x.com/CjstrikerC/status/1891483998448234894
this X user is doing exactly what i predicted and trying to scaremonger about something rather insignificant. the link they provide in their first post to iWeaver, an "AI-powered knowledge management tool", states that AI was used in the following ways in Nezha 2:
Question: What key roles did AI play in the production process of “Nezha 2”? Answer: AI played significant roles in the production of “Nezha 2”. It accurately predicted the box – office trend through AI, foreseeing the record – breaking moment 72 hours in advance. In the production process, it carried out automated complexity grading for 220 million underwater particle effects, generated resource allocation plans based on the profiles of over 3,000 artists, and could also track the rendering progress of 14 global studios in real – time, helping to improve production efficiency and quality. (Source: iWeaver)
now, if that's true, it's probably something the studio will keep on the DL simply because they don't want people to turn it into "they used AI? they made the whole thing with AI??!!! Terrible!!" (which, if you ask me, might be a dumb approach because in a lot of circles it will look worse if their "cover" gets "blown"). but even tho iWeaver says "significant roles", the first "role" of AI was just in predicting box-office gains, not in animation. the second "role" is what i suspected from having watched the movie: that AI was used to help render some scenes (one scene?). this makes perfect sense, and if you ask me is a really legit use of AI tech. dare i say it, perhaps even something the studios should be proud of.
OBVIOUSLY they did not use AI to create this whole movie. 14 animation studios were involved, thousands of animators, SO MUCH more work than "just" throwing some prompts at an algorithm and telling it to "make a movie". there are a ridiculous number of small details that can only be attributed to human work. a couple of my favs: when Li Jing [Nezha's father] lies in front of Shen Gongbao's little brother on Shen's behalf, the soldier behind him gives him a look of mild shock😲; when Nezha's parents have Shen Gongbao over for dinner during the siege, one of the Guardian Beasts is snoozing 😴.
use of AI always opens up the floor to discussion of what is "Art", but that's a debate humans will have for as long as we exist and are still making art. hell, people used to say it was cheating to try and paint something from a photograph, rather than a live model. they're ALWAYS going to be like that. critics are a necessary evil. haters are always gonna hate.
making art is about creating with integrity. artists use the tools available to them, and some artists are better at using tools than others. AI is also a creative tool. that's the world we live in in 2025.
consider this: i'm a teacher at university level, and obviously we've got loads of students trying to use AI to complete their assignments. what we're moving towards is having an "admission of AI use" declaration for them to make, because we acknowledge that this tool can be helpful! for example, SPELLING AND GRAMMAR. i'd LOVE if my students used AI to fix those mistakes. then i could smoothly read their work. AI can also help you get a basic understanding of concepts (thus improving your ability to write about them), but you still have to check the sources it provides you. that's what makes you look dumb at university level: citing imaginary sources and authors that the AI generated for you. AI tools are also pretty crap at actually "understanding the assignment", so it's easy to tell when a student used AI to write the whole essay because it won't be the right format, and thus can't get a good score. but if a student is smart enough to figure out what's required according to the rubric, what parts of the essay are needed, what arguments they need to make to get points, and they use AI to help them write those out, i see no reason to penalise them for using assistance - as long as they admit they used it. lying about one's abilities doesn't serve anyone, least of all the person themselves.
i think it's really easy for some armchair critic to look at a "fact" like "AI was used in the production of this film" and get angry about it. but i'll bet they haven't even been to see the movie, or spent any time looking for "behind the scenes" reports like you did, and that means we can ignore that idiot, because they don't know what we know 😌
thanks for reading!!
