It was awful. So many people had died that day, and even after all that, you still hadn’t won. Yes the rebellion was small, and yes losses were to be expected. But this amount of loss of life just seemed so… unnecessary. As someone ordinary, you could only feel the hopelessness in the aftermath, the pain that followed the friends and families of those who were gone. Had you not known that it was such a horrible thing occurring, it would almost look like hundreds of shooting stars. 

Is that what the children of the nearby planet saw? Colourful explosions and streaks of lights that they could wish on?

The thought of that was morbid all on its own. However, knowing that it might be a small comfort to some, gave you some hope that maybe, maybe, not everything that comes out of this will be bad.

You made your way through the hangar, following the route you had taken thousands of times to the command room. There were small groups of people everywhere, sitting on the floor, huddled in groups, trying to find some semblance of comfort. You could use some of that too, you supposed.

By the time you walked in, it had fallen quiet. Luke had beaten you here, his head leant back on the wall and his eyes shut tightly. Han and Chewie were sitting close to him, in hushed conversation, exhausted expressions on their faces. Han had blood dried to the side of his face, but it seemed he was yet to go and see a medic regardless.

The medics were likely busy enough without him there.

Other commanders were slouched over tables, some asleep, trying to forget what they had witnessed. Others were awake, their heads in their hands, faces screwed tight, trying to figure out exactly what had gone wrong. Then you found her.

Leia was standing over a holotable, hands gripping the edge, and when you got closer you noticed her hands were paler than usual. Her eyes were shut and the bags under them were deeper than usual. This and the frown, it made her look… drawn. She opened her eyes when you covered one of her hands with your own. When she turned her gaze to your face, her shoulders dipped ever so slightly and her eyes softened. Relief.

With a shaky inhale, and what you hoped was a comforting face, you drew her in close, sighing when she responded by dropped her head on your shoulder. You would’ve stood there for hours, but she pulled away after a few seconds to look back at the table, weary expression returning. Oh, Leia.

“Leia? Are you o- No, that’s a stupid thing to ask… I already know the answer.” She didn’t respond, though her grip on the table tightened again. You gently rested a hand on her elbow. This was worse than usual, worse than what you had gone through. You slid your hand down to hers and began pulling her away, which she thankfully didn’t fight. You didn’t stop tugging until you were in your shared quarters. The lighting was dark, the only way you saw her face was the blur of hyperspace illuminating parts of the room. It was deathly silent here too, much like the rest of the ship.

You’re the one to break the silence.

“Leia, please,” you stepped forwards again, holding both her hands with your shaking ones, “just talk to me?” She finally looked you in the eye. They were watering, and they just seemed so filled with pain, unlike anything you had seen before. With the first shaking sob, she went to the floor, you and your heart falling with her. 

“I felt them all! All of them! And I couldn’t do anything.” You didn’t understand the first thing when it came to the force. You understood Leia, however. You knew she just needed you here. With her. “They’re all gone, and I just sat here and did nothing!”

You knew that seeing her in pain made you feel it too, your eyes and heart and throat stinging all at once. You’re not sure when you started crying either. Or when you couldn’t feel how cold the floor was underneath your legs. Your noses were buried in each-other’s necks, and the grief just seemed to hold you in place on the floor. Leia was always so strong, seeing her like this? It could make just about anyone break with her.

You sniffled and tried to gather yourself. You pulled away, and steadied yourself by holding her cheeks, wiping the stray tears away.

“I don’t- I um-” you had started, trying to string together some imperfect words of comfort. “I don’t- I really don’t understand how this force thing works, but I am so sorry you had to feel all that. But don’t ever blame yourself. They- We all knew what we were signing up for when we joined the rebellion.” Her breathing was slowing, evening out, and the drawn out look was still there, but felt warmer somehow.

“What I do know, is that Luke’s still here. And chewie,” you rolled your eyes, “and karking Han,” she breathed out one laugh, and slowly, you could see her again. You searched her face, taking in every detail like it was the last time. “And me. I’m still here. And I’m always gonna be, if you let me.”

“I’m not saying to disregard the deaths of all those people, but I’m saying that we should remember those we’ve lost, and cherish all that we still have. It’s the only way we can make it through this.” She sighed and scanned your face again. You were certain it was as grimy and exhausted as most, though she didn’t seem to care because she kept staring. When she leaned in, you met her halfway.

It was so gentle, a tentative search for comfort, reaching for that small flicker of light in the darkest of times. Your hands still cupped her face, and hers were tangled in your hair, gripping onto what was right in front of her. She only pulled back by a few inches, just enough to keep your foreheads pressed together, savouring the time you had. She exhaled heavily, and seemed to lighten with the loss of breath. When she spoke, it was hardly even a whisper, it was croaky, but it was perfect.

“I love you. I love you so much.” You didn’t move, but your heart sung with the declaration. You nodded against her and kissed her again, more confident now. She pushed back just as much, and the spark grew to become a steady and constant flame, burning bright and chasing the shadows away. Her lips were still as soft as they always were, maybe a little chapped, and you had missed slightly which had caused your noses to be pressed together, rather than fit side by side. Both of your cheeks were still wet, and you were covered in dirt, but none of that matters. You stayed against her lips and whispered back.

“I love you too.” You could feel her grin as she kissed you again, escaping again from the universe.

No. None of that mattered right now. You could face your grief later, face the empire and your enemies later. For now, you sought comfort in your lover, in the warmth of her skin and the softness of her hair, in the strange blurring lights of hyperspace. For now, you could enjoy the moment. A perfectly imperfect moment.

I worked at Fusebox, I was one of the writers fired. I want you to know we have had the season written out and FINISHED. Then they dropped the bomb on us. It sucks. I hate seeing fans so upset. It’s also upsetting seeing fans complain about the diversity and inclusion of the game and blame the writers. We pushed for a lot and didn’t get back shit, or got back really choppy content, and if we didn’t go through with the content, we would be threatened with our job. I’m so tired. It’s also upsetting seeing fans on Reddit saying they’ll write the game like we haven’t done it.

this might sound insensitive, but before we move any further i’m gonna need proof you were actually an employee at Fusebox. you can DM it to me if you don’t want it to be public, but i’m sorry, tumblr is known for THOUSANDS of instances where people have made up the most outrageous stories, especially on anon (and sometimes just dead on a public post!! it’s so weird here) for reasons i can’t comprehend. so just to verify that what you’re actually saying is true, then yeah sorry but i’m gonna need a little proof that you were a former employee. nothing too private, that’s not what i’m asking for, but just smthg that says you were an actual legit worker there. otherwise i’m gonna have to take your ask with a grain of salt, sorry.

especially bc another user apparently got the first half of your message sent to them in an almost copy paste manner with the all-caps and everything, but just didn’t get the rest of your message (which was no doubt specifically sent to me bc of my critique on the mlm representation which is again kinda weird cause if you did read my post, then you’d’ve also saw that i directly call for new management at FB, not necessarily new writers.) regardless, copy pasting an ask and sending it to other people isn’t really a good look.

if you are an actual former employee, then i’m really sorry that happened to yall. getting laid off out of the blue is messed up and is definitely a form of execs arrogantly showing off their power. a lot of the glassdoor reviews speak to the higher ups not knowing nor caring what it takes to make a good game, and them firing the staff that has already created smthg successful and globally well-loved definitely shows this. not to mention that the CEOs response to it was so shallow ugh. it def gives off the feeling that all they care about is money and dont care about the lives of their employees, the happiness of their players/customers, and especially not the quality of their game.

i do think it’s a little weird to get mad at the fans tho? especially the ones on reddit that say they wanna write s4 (which personally i’m super excited to see what they come up with if they do) can you explain why that upsets you exactly? sorry i just don’t really understand.

i feel like fans doing things like that is actually a good thing and just shows that they love the original content so much, that they want this world, these characters, this storyline so bad, that they will come together as a whole to reject heartless copycats (matchmaker) and are willing, eager even!, to put in the no doubt huge amount of effort to resurrect the kind of stuff the original writers have made, even if they have to do it with their own two hands. i think that’s beautiful and really speaks to the love fans have for the game. people saying “i want this content to survive so bad i will use toothpicks and duck tape to make it happen” is amazing.

fans, especially dedicated ones such as that, aren’t harming you in any way and any anger or hurt or etc. you feel should 100% be directed towards the higher ups. and critique especially shouldn’t be shut down bc if no one calls for better diversity, for better content, or etc. then the ones responsible for giving fans garbage won’t get any pushback and will never change. why should they if nobody says anything?

if you’re an actual former employee at FB, then i really am sorry about all yall have gone through at that company and definitely sympathize. i don’t really agree with getting mad at fans, but i’m still hugely sorry for what happened to you. however, if you’re not an actual former employee at FB and are just some dude spouting bs for the heck of it, then get the fuck out my inbox and never come back.

Pandora Box

A 6 months old of an emotional heartbreaking roller coaster ride has come to an end (Alhamdulillah) Why do I put this in writing? I wanted to look back at it on how love can make you blind. I've been reserving the first one so that it will be the ONLY and LAST one. Screw you for tarnishing that spot!

At first, I was a tad bit sad but eventually grew tired of it because why should I be sad about it tho?! You have to lift up yourself and grow stronger! So what happened? Where did it go wrong? 

1. COMPREHENSION

People usually say, “Communication is the Key!”, but lil did I know that, even if you communicated with each other, without comprehension, it will still go down the drain. 

Don’t go saying, ‘I have explained it so many times, yet you still don’t wanna listen and it’s you that dont understand it’. HOLD IT RIGHT THERE! 

Do you ever ask yourself again, in a CLEAR STATE OF MIND not clouded with any emotional or feelings as in why your partner doesnt wanna accept your reasoning? Have you ever put yourself in her/his shoes before blurting out those hurtful words?

THINK AGAIN

2. SELF-HEALING

If you needed to heal yourself whilst in a relationship, it is TOTALLY DOABLE!  Remember, while your are healing/adjusting/tuning yourself, don’t forget your partner, don’t push her/him away, you can always explain it to them as in why you needed it and treat them as you always do. A normal text or a phone call wont do you any harm.

Somehow, when you're together, you've become emotionally dependent on each other. Even the tiniest changes in you will questioned her/him 'is it me? Is it my fault?'

Fret not! It's normal. That's why yall need to know how assurance and reassurance works.

P/S:  It is never your responsibility to heal someone when they never had the intention to heal themselves!

3. ASSURANCE & REASSURANCE

Moving on to this one, which I think its kinda crucial, because this is what holds yall together despite whatever hardships that you guys went through.

If your partner is having a tiny inch of insecurities due to YOUR actions, kindly reassure them that everything’s gonna be just fine (but dont repeat the same masalah lah k) and it’s just us overthinking! KAH i know women tend to overthink haha because I do. LOL

So peeps! This might come in handy too!

4. BOUNDARIES

Lad and Lassies, when you are in a relationship, kindly draw a CLEAR boundaries between your opposite gender friends ya. ESPECIALLY YOUR EXES! You don’t simply hangout with your ex stating that he/she is JUST A FRIEND *rolls eyes*

Its either one of these; They are still in love or they never were. 

But hey! Its 2020! Of course yall have to chill to whoever the frog your partner wants to hangout with. If he/she wanted to hangout with their ex, let them, you go tag along. 

Even if you wanted to hangout just the two of you, please dont make any STUPID reasoning as to why it is legit for you to do so.

‘Just Friend’ is not a ticket for you to go reminiscing your good ol’ times with them. Deep down, don’t you feel guilty to your partner? Frog this shit. This contributes to your partner having doubts and insecurities on you!

5. TRUST

Peeps, trust is something that you should earn, not ask for. Its very stupid when YOU are the one feeding the doubts and insecurities YET you tell your partner to just TRUST you.  Thats ballsy of you.

So, along the way, tolerance, give and take (this is for me lah katanya) are necessary, IF they comply all of the above. You can even tone down your ego (also directed to me 🙄) if its for ‘kebahagian sejagat’ LOL. Its the effort lah, if along the way you realized something is OFF, ask again, berbaloi ke ni?

Arguing and fighting is normal, if you wanna fight, fight harder, that's what make both of you stronger and get to know each other more. Yes you have diff stands, but understanding and comprehension is muy importante!

If he/she keeps on doing the things that you don't like which you've CLEARLY stated that you are no where near comfy about it, THINK AGAIN, is it worth it? Clearly he/she is not respecting you if he/she repeats it again! kan! Why bother? At one point, I even questioned my moves, and somehow it appears that he’s gaslighting me (sort of), so its a no no!

I’m letting go of this pain, in a way so that it will not engulf me any further. You shouldn’t questioned your worth, the minutes you question it, its a sign to get moving. So, imma put this troubled feelings in a box and throw it out, be happy and get going.

This message really hit my heart, and I want to thank you for taking the time to send it! Sometimes I forget how much of our lives are on the internet, and I really underestimate just how impactful words and stories can be. Right after I started writing this, I got a text from Elliot (I sent a screenshot of this to him) that said, “I sometimes forget people actually care.” I honestly never thought Elliot and I’s relationship would touch and impact people. I do want to say something to you. While there is a BUNCH of depressing factors to our relationship, I don’t want that to be what you take from it. Elliot and myself do all we can to add light to each other’s lives. It’s shit sometimes, it’s shit a LOT of times, but I find there’s always room to laugh. There’s always room to smile. We get through the hard stuff, but we don’t devote our minds and happiness to it. Make sense? The reason Elliot shares his stories and experiences is to let people know they don’t have to be alone. They don’t have to be sad. They always have people to talk to who understand.I’m not going to lie to you and say that I haven’t thought about Elliot passing. I have many times. Every single time I think about it, it hurts. But the more I realize he isn’t actually leaving me, only his physical body is, the more comfort I find. I’ll always have him with me, and even though I won’t be able to hold his hand or kiss him, I know that I won’t need that to love him. When people pass, they gain this immense comfort. Human emotion vanishes, and they are given the ability to choose emotion, as well as a deeper understanding of the universe. Loved ones don’t leave us, not really. That’s not to say I won’t hurt and won’t miss him. Oh sweet goodness, I’ll miss him so much.Elliot and I have recently decided to get him to better and more holistic treatment. California is not treating him well, misdiagnosing and missing diagnosis. It’s incredibly ridiculous, but we’re going to go somewhere better TOGETHER. I want to tell you something. Elliot has the strongest drive and will to live. It’s stronger than anyone’s. I don’t know how he does it. Through physical and mental pain, he keeps pushing and pushing and pushing. the truth is, the entire villain alliance is conspiring to fuck over shinsou, specifically
