So what AFO quirks would fit well with pro heroes similar to the LoV, Class A and B, Yakuza, and MLA? Obviously, there are a lot of heroes so you could either disregard the teachers and save them for another post, or cover anyone you want. Feel free to include retired/dead heroes if you wish.
So I won't include the teachers, if only because there are enough of them to cover their own post, and just stick to the more prominent pros.

Fourth Kind-Transforming Arms: "Transforming Arms" lets the user change their arms. Fourth Kind has an extra set of arms. Ergo, the Quirk will be twice as effective with him.
Gang Orca-Air Cannon: This is mostly here to play off of Gang Orca's sonic attacks. With "Air Cannon", it be neat to see him augment and alter how those attacks are made.
Fat Gum-Shock Absorption: This may seem redundant on Fat Gum, but I prefer to think of it as something that emphasizes his strengths, removing a lot of the downsides that came from him wasting fat.
Endeavor-Super Regeneration: Considering Enji's greatest weakness is how often he keeps burning himself out and how power his defeneses are, this would slot in nicely to keep him from dying.
Gran Torino-Rivet: Not only will this help protect Gran Torino and offset his poor defense, but enhance his offense. The man basically becomes a human cannon ball with how he smashes into people.
Ryukyu-Hardfan Flame: So there weren't a lot of Quirks that paired as well with Ryukyu. So I just decided to go with the one that fixes a grievous flaw with her power. Now she can be a dragon that breathes fire.
Tora-Spearlike Bones: I really like the idea of him combining the two Quirks with his combat abilities to become this whirling dervish of bones. Plus it could combine in some fun ways with his stretchy body.
Captain Celebrity-Impact Recoil: It'd be interesting to see this combine with the natural defenses of "Flight", working to increase the barrier's resilience and having him be able to apply that resistance to other people.
Hawks-Shoulder Mounted Jets: Yes, Hawks can fly and he's fast. However, not only can this let him fly when his feathers are around, it could be used with the feathers to improve their speed and attack potency with jets of air.
Mandalay-Radio Waves: So this could lead to an interesting expansion when used with "Telepath". I can imagine working like some electronic telepathy by picking up and putting out signals, which would be super useful.
Miruko-Air Walk: I know this seems redundant with how far she can jump, but it's more to augment her combat abilities. She can turn any spot in the air into a landing point to launch herself at people or bounce out to get out of the way of attacks.
Kamui Woods-Muscle Augmentation: Kaumi Woods is already a pretty skilled Quirk user, but he's lacking a lot in direct power. I can just imagine him using these together to turn his branches into entire trees worth of wood like he was Hashirama.
Pixie Bob-Rivet Stab: Honestly, Pixie Bob is power enough that she doesn't really need any new tricks. I just went with "Rivet Stab" as I thought it'd be some neat interactions with her earth power, like stitching it into her Earth Beasts to make them tougher.
Ragdoll-Warping: Not only could this help out with Ragdoll's amazing support abilities by letting her teleport people around, but it's be interesting to see it combine with "Search", like teleporting people to anyone else she has marked with her power.
Best Jeanist-Tool Arms: So while this can be useful in giving him more direct damage, I picked this for another reason. You know those giant cables that Best Jeanist uses in bigger fights? Shame he can't carry those around with him every where. Until now that is.
Edgeshot-Storage: Now Edge shot can apply his flattening affect to whomever he wants be carrying them with him. Quite literally bringing them into the fold. Which just makes the Quirk extra terrfiying with his stealth as people just suddenly vanish as they're snatch up by him.
Mount Lady-Absorb and Release: Obviously, Mount Lady is a big target, so it's be easy to apply this Quirk and help expand on her abilities to block damage. What's better is that the downsides is meaningless. Taking damage to use the affect is going to be pretty meaningless with how big she is.
Sir Nighteye-Overclock: This may be the best one. Not only is this on theme with his whole time schtick, but it gives Sir Nighteye some much needed combat ability and would work well with his combat prowess. And who know how something like this would combine with his future sight.

I continue poorly explain ffxiv
Welcome back to Final Fantasy XIV or as I like to call it Fantasia Character Rotissiere. Last time we fought secondary dragon satan who possessed the unwashed elf boy that is Estinyan. Saved our baby boy’s sister from being assassinated by Identity Fraud and his gang of back up dancers and watched our one true boy Papalymo sacrifice himself to stop another calamity. So naturally Spike from Buffy the Vampire shows up and convinces us to activate an alien super weapon to break our boy’s sealing spell and we’re like SIGN US THE FUCK UP! So naturally after that happens a new war begins between the Eorzean Alliance and the Garlic Jr. Empire cause Garlic died last time and there was a civil war but we didn’t see it. All you need to know is Blond Alan Rickman is now the Emperor and his right hand man is...still probably on those floating islands safe and sound and is still very much alive because I unlocked Aurum Vale for roulette and I am unlocking nothing else that is essential to progress that isn’t MSQ. Where was I? Oh yes, Ala Mhigo which lies somewhere between the Red Wood Forest and Death Valley. Whose people are subjigated by the Garlic Empire. The time has come to free them and by free them I mean get told off by the local populace fight an angry scottish woman and then get one shot by Rocky from the Horror Picture show if he was ten feet tall and carried a golf bag of SWORDS! So many swords he probably swipes left if you’re not at least metallic and SHARP! But enough about that, Al Pacino has the bright idea that in order to free Ala Mhigo we first must free Doma who is under the same rule as Ala Mhigo working with the same exact problems Ala Mhigo does but I am sure this will turn out just find. So after black mailing Captain Elf Sparrow, we send Al Pacino where he belongs. Into a ghost graveyard and we leave his ass there because now its time to arrive at Kugane, where we’ll attempt to climb a tower for five minutes, get pissed by invisible collision boxes, log out and swear we’ll never play this stupid fucking game ever again. But the game knows you’ll be back, YOU’LL BE BACK! So we start up Genshin Imp--hahaha fuck no, log the fuck back in we got a catfish to punch, an old samurai to save, and the lost Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle to save all while running away from the POLICE! And what better way to evade arrest than to flee the fucking country so out into the Ruby Sea we go, which is controlled by the Confederacy. Don’t worry its not the racist one its the pirating one. But I hope you like swimming because you’ll be doggy paddling back and forth between these small islands for about 2 hours before we are hooked up with DIVING! So come visit the Ruby Sea. We got manta rays, grotesque demon walruses, an armored turtle with a giant fuck off sword and getting STEPPED ON by an angry woman who I am 20% spends half her scene time smoking opium. Don’t worry though despite the Garlic Empire being a big problem they’re not so much a big problem that you and the Scooby Gang can’t handle them. In fact we can handle them so well we only get our asses kicked by the giant top heavy Ken doll ONE more time before we’re allowed into the LIZARD KINGDOM. Where reptiles roam the earth and every single one of them want to kill you. So like Heracles we have to do a bunch of tasks to win their trusts like breaking into their sacred holy ground and stealing their parrow, picking unwater sea kress, and talking to Sadu Dotharl the baddest motherfucker this side of the Hildibrand questline. Seriously if you ever wished you could be a crater on the ground, this woman will GRANT THAT FUCKING WISH! Sorry where was I. Oh yeah, after descrating their holy ground we are invited to a blood contest to choose their next leader so naturally falls to you and your first decree is maybe show up to class when the Garlics are ready to rumble. Cause if you don’t well...this entire trip was completely utterly useless. Lets just blow up the castle and call it a day--actually we kind really do just blow up the castle in the process of freeing Doma. Who knew the only thing you needed to do to win a revolutionary war was raise up an army of dragon people and causing FLOOD DAMAGE to the Historical District. Don’t think too much about it because now that we’ve TOTALLY freed Doma from the iron fist of the Garlics its time to go back to Ala Mhigo...despite there...still be an entire empire out there that will definitely reinforce their lost territory but don’t worry about it. They don’t seem the type to just level an entire territory on at the slightest scent of revolution anywhere else...right? Anyway after crossing the sea and remember Alphinaud exists, we return to Ala Mhigo with none of the Doman army to back us up and we...actually do very well. We run into Braveheart again but its alright she just pisses off the snake people and summons a GIANT WOMAN TO ENSLAVE US WHEN WE SLEEP! So after knocking that one out of the park. Rock the Ken Doll arrives and decides he likes us blowing up buildings so much he’s going to give Fordola a cannon. And blow us to kingdom come...and thus ends our life in Final Fantasy XI--I am fucking kidding Estinien comes back and ONE SHOTS A FUCKING CANNON! If you think that sounds dumb, it isn’t it is the most awesome thing ever. Imagine watching a War Documentary where after the battle of Gettsyberg, the ghost of George Washington juiced up on the blood of Satan got into fist fight with a tank and WON! It is EXACTLY as awesome as I just described and will be taking no criticism at this time because after a wardrobe change for Yda definitely Yda, she is definitely Yda don’t worry about it she would Lyse to you now would she? We go to the Lochs. Where we take in the sights, get caught by border patrol, beat the Guinness World Record for longest breath ever held, listen to a soldier talk about getting the BEST head ever before killing him and his comrades and facing off against a woman I am surprise isn’t wearing 20 belts and using some healing crystals to give her a migraine. All in the name of saving Krile who will DEFINITELY give us black mail material so we can hold Alphinaud hostage. Sorry, I meant we’re going with Alphinaud to fight a bunch of Samurai wolves and if you think that sounds awesome, you’re kind of fucking right. After punching them so hard PETA is probably going to ram a jeep into my front room, we kick open the door, fight through the streets of another castle and whoa would you look at that Doma finally shows up to give us aerial support...like...at the last fucking minute seriously we re-capture 99.9% and Doma comes in acting like its 0.01% is going to get us the A+ on the project. Anyway, all you really need to know is Ken turned into a DRAGON and we fight on a convinently placed platform in the sky before he kills himself and we play the National Anthem....seriously what the fuck did I just pl

[2k3 Rasey] "I need to rest."
| "I need to rest" for your muse to lay their head down in my muse's lap
Raph and Casey had built up a decent reputation around the city's lowlifes, it seemed. Lokely due in part of all thier time.spent just being a general annoyance to one of the city's biggest gangs known. But it seemed others had heard of them as well. Though not to the same extent the dragons did. Seeing the pair as some monster and freak in a mask. Of course, they had to poke fun at which of them was what. Didn't prevent them from having a blast at the expense of these poor souls that didn't know what was coming their way. Which lead ti the laughter shared between them as they made thier way towards the lair through the sewer tunnels.
The usual night out of blowing off steam for a number if reason mostly just inner emotional baggage either seemed fully prepared or ready to even pretend was there. Nearly hit a wall when the dragons just were not out least they heard mummerings about some.gang actively a few cities over. Sure a bit out if the way but hey was it really of it meant helping clean up the scum of the city? Not mention be a night of fun for the pair.
Even if between laughing fits and recounts of their nights adventures seemed to bring up some worry on Raph's own end. When they tailed after and had tk sneak away in to the sewers to finally lose them. It didn't really settle the worry in Raph. Seeing how they had to ditch Cadey bike. Hopfully still well hidden away where they left it. Which sure Raph knew Ney York wasn't excatly the safest place to leave something like Casey's bike out on the open like that. Well semi open buy still every second passed was another for someone to sniff it out. But Raph?
"Bozoo ya can' go back there yet. They gonna be crawling all over still." Wasn't too keen on the idea. Worried be the word here, but he refused to use it. Even if Casey teased it. Raph just ignored the teasing of course, he worried. Casey was an idiot and would pick a fight and they had to turn and run when things got too heated the two of them! How would Casey mange alone? Raphael hand soon found it’s way on to Casey’s bicep. A rare moment for Raphael as he let his finger tips press in against Casey’s skin.
The grip he held was firm but not demanding or forceful even more near pleading if anything. Titling his head up to better look up at the human. He left his brow relaxed. His expression hidden thanks to the cover over his eyes but it still seemed enough to pull Casey’s attention for the moment. “Case, I mean it jus’ lie low for now. We do it all the time promise. We’ll wait out here and then head back together once things cooled off okay?” Raphael fixed his stare at his boyfriend. Boyfriend not best friend or even his partner in the moment. That was the reason behind Raphael changed approached a side revered just for the human. And maybe it just because Casey was a push over or maybe he seemed to get a thought through his thick ass skull at last. But he seemed willing to not be the stubborn ass he was and fold. Raphael’s grip lightened finally. Even if Casey still wanted to mock Raphael’s softer side for being exposed just then.
“Whatever” he gripped before he let go ad made way for the couch for now, “Maybe I don’ ‘Ike having to always save your ass from the shit you willin’ walk into all the fucking time.” Was how he excused and tried to mask his worry under the veil of just being a minion inconvenience at best. Before he took his spot on the couch, sighing out in relief when he finally was able to relax against the long broken into fabric of the couch. Arms rested to the back of the ouch a moment as he let his head tip back to rest there. It felt like heaven in that moment. But his muscles had been screaming for awhile. Strained from all the fighting before. “I’ve hidden my bike tons of times so it’ll be fine. Once its bright out I’ll grab my bike and gear and get ya back to yours just before folks start filling the streets.” Raphael tossed back out to help assure Casey a moment.
Half expecting more protest, it was. A bit of. Shock when Raphael felt a weight on top his thighs. The soft near ticklish feeling of hair against his scales pulled his eyes open as he looked down. "What are you?" He asked when seeing Casey made himself at home joing Raph on the couch. And worse seeming to decide Raphaels lap was the best place to lie hos own head down on.
"I need to rest."
Raphael swore he could feel his eye twitch annoyed because of course, now they agree to that when they can be so fucking annoying about it. The best way Raph could state it despite the faint redding aginst green cheeks, when hearing he was apperntly comfy. Comfy? Raph? He's not sure how to deal with that claim.
"I know ya always tryin' to get between my legs, but ain't this a bit less than sudtle." Raphael retorted with. In some attempt to gain, he doesn't know what, but he insists that remark was for some benefit on his end in some way or shaped at the time. Maybe to not draw attetjon to the realness behind the action?
Sure Casey always be kind of touchy and he's always allowed it even never minding sometimes paying it back even from time to time. But this? He don't know something about Casey resting on his lap the way he was doing now? Just gave way to some changes between them now. Not like they were doing anything intimate but it felt intimate to Raphael. Scoffing as he tried to fight the fight or flight urge inside him now. He just turned to look away resting his cheek against the soft fabric of the couch. "Yeah well don't think imma let ya fucking sleep there ill kick you off to the floor the second we gotta go." Likely not but the threat was mlre for Raphael's image than tk threaten Casey anyway.

Reader: Cis-Male (he/him).
Summary: Reader found himself in a situation. Luckily! The guys can come save there butts while also noticing the reader's butt.
Warnings: kinda smutty 👌. The idea is AMAZING. PLEASE. This is so shameless, honestly. Under the cut; just in case.
Tumblr media
He was leading patrol when he heard a scream and a few pewpewpews that where far too familiar.
The four came rushing to your aid and they saw you paying down, but didn't recognize you due to the nice fit clothing and collectively agreed to help.
Leo straight up called you ma'am-
He can only see your ass, thighs and curves and basically went "Ah, woman need my help". Don't hold it against him.
And he pulls the whole superhero-saving-someone bit.
The speech, the pose, and he'd go bright red when he realizes it's you.
So he swipes his katana through the Kraang and walks up to you in slow struts as to not frighten the "unknown women" picking "herself" up off the gross alley way ground.
"I've got you, miss, no need to thank m- aAH- (Y/N)??" "Oh, Thanks Leo! I really apprec- wait, did you call me ma'am?" "NO!!"
It's actually kinda funny because he gets all squeaky and his eyes are darting around and his brothers are cackling. It's great!... For everyone but him-
Spends the next 45 seconds shrieking about how he did not fall you ma'am on purpose.
He literally forgot there were robots about to end you and goes back to fighting while his bros keep joking about him.
No, he does not live this down, ever.
"Maybe you should check on your boyfriend, Leo! He seems a bit scuffed up!" "Just make sure you use the right pronouns." "Yeah, bro. That's very important. Respect him!"
If he wants to get you away from the fight quickly, he YEETS you over his shoulder and just kinda leaves like "YOU GUYS CAN HANDLE THIS"
His hand would be on the back of your thighs and the other on your ass, fight me.
He panics when he realizes it tho and quickly sets you down at your apartment or house or whatever and is FLUSTERED.
He's also probably apologizing and rambling.
But he walks home like "I touched the butt"
He definitely texts you on the way home, apologizing home more time and saying he'd like to hang out the next day and prepare yourself for a slightly more put together, slightly more cocky and slightly less embarrassed Leonardo to meet you on your rooftop.
-
Tumblr media
You had the audacity to accidentally call Leo because he was the most recent contact while your ass was close to getting kicked and you didn't even call him?
How dare you.
So, they get there to see the Purple Dragons and it's a quick fight.
However.
During said fight, Raph is almost too angry to notice your ass and curves 👌
Key is, almost.
Probably does a double-take mid-fight because your not wearing your usual hoodie and sweats and gets decked.
Literally. Just kinda like blocking hits and looking between you and the Purple Dragon goon kinda just bapping him because you keep distracting him.
If he gets shit for this from Leo, he will definitely blame you for merely existing.
Dudes not sure if he should be pissed at you for getting yourself in this situation or thank you for wearing those tight. ass. jeans.
Raph really hoped whoever made them has a nice and fulfilling life because you sure be filling out those jeans.
"You're a smart man, right?" "I guess?" "Not anymore, you dumbass. Why'd ya take this short cut?! You should know this is douche territory! Donnie, didn't you send him a map of the gang territories?" "I did." "SO, WHY ARE WE HERE??"
Yes, he yells at you like a mother, but he means well.
"AND YOU COME OUT HERE DRESSED LIKE THAT?" ".... What's wrong with my outfit?" "I... IT'S... GODDMANIT-"
Listen. He really does mean well.
And his bros know exactly why he's upset about your outfit. They totally saw him distracted during the fight.
Raph just wants you to stay safe. You are his friend.... Whom he currently wants to pin against the wall, but a friend none the less!!
He sighs and apologizes and the dudes are like ".. It takes us days to get an apology... He got one in 30 seconds..."
Anyway, Raph offers to take you home and patch him up but you refuse so over his shoulder you go. Instantly. Like *boop* there ya are.
And he will take you straight home and probably instinctively bap your butt lightly and just kinda nod and spRINT AWAY.
-
Tumblr media
You guys where face timing when he noticed you try to take a short cut down an alley and is like "No, that's the dumbest thing you could do in NY, (Y/n)" and suddenly the Purple Dragons are behind you.
He sees you trying to sass them away, but it only makes them mad and he knows where you are so he hands up and comes to get ya ass to safety.
Comes skirting up behind them in the Shell Raiser to come hell.
So he throws hands, hits with sticks, and uh, yeah. They're the Purple Dragons. They're morons. Donnie obviously wins.
And when he wins in like the 3 minutes he was fighting, he walks over and helps you up.
That's when he notices the tighter clothing you chose to wear today over the looser, comfier clothes you usually wore and he's.
Yeah. He's dead now, so that's FUN.
His bros show up to see what happened and he tries to explain while you dust yourself off and check for cuts and he just
Literally keeps looking over at you to check out your ass and thighs and curves and he's 🥴
Donnie was blushing from the moment he realized it was you but ends up bright red when he tries to talk to you.
Constant. Stammering.
"A-are you ok? Did y-you get hurt? Did-did-did-uh-" "I'm fine, D." "O-oh, good-good"
Secretly a bit disappointed because that means he won't have to bandage you up and possibly see you with your shirt off, but you didn't get hurt so that's good!
You're his bisexual awakening, good luck.
Tries to be smooth, but oh my god he fails. Like he leans against his staff but loses his balance and just kinda lays there after he falls. It's cute but his brothers laugh at him.
And he makes sure your safe and they escorts you home and he totally isn't turning his phone wallpaper to be your face, shh.
Anyway, they head home and he... He can't stop thinking about you.
Probably lays awake that night just thinking about the events of today.
Bye-bye April crush. Hello (Y/n) crush.
God, those jeans did YOU SO MUCH FUCKING JUSTICE AAAAAA
No, he does not get sleep that night.
-
Tumblr media
So, he gets an SOS text from you saying something about the Kraang and surrounded in an alley.
Mikey sprints out the lair with the guys, him at the front and fully determined to fuck shit up.
However when he lands in the alley, knocking a stupid droid down in the process, and they all go their own ways in the fight, he notices something.
You're not in your usual kind of outfits.
Usually you wore baggie, comfy clothes: sweat pants, big hoodies, even sandles.
Mike dodges a punch and notices you bend over to grab your phone that got knocked out of your hand after sending the text and he literally just stares at your ass.
Notices the curves that come with and just goes "😩👌" and definitely gets smacked for it later by Raph.
Dude outright tells you you have a nice ass.
No joke.
"Whooaaa! How come you never told me you have an AMAZING ass, (Y/n/n)!" "MIKEY-!"
And yes it's an accident, but it's also the truth so forgive him.
Everyone is fighting off the fucks but he's licking his hand to slick back hair he doesn't even have while strutting over to you with confidence even Raph doesn't have.
It's so funny, please.
Flirts so fucking hard.
"Hey, baby. Are you the sun? Because you just lit up my day." "Mikey! We're kinda busy at the moment!" "Shush, dude! I'm tryin' to get some! Are you free tonight?"
and he'd take your hand and kiss your knuckles while winking.
Like he knows he's cute, so he's cocky as shit.
Granted, he's cocky, but he genuinely likes you so if you flirt back, he just giggles and blushes like a school girl.
You make his little pansexual heart go budbudbudbudbud very quickly.
He punched a droid without looking while flirting with you and it's actually impressive because the head popped right off.
Blows you a kiss before returning to the fight.
At the end of it, the offers to escort you home for two reasons.
One; to avoid getting chewed out by the others.
And two; to raise his chances of getting a thank you smooch from you.
He literally sweeps you off your feet and runs off to your apartment.
-
It's actually 2:30 am as I finish this and I hope it lives up to how you wanted it but I had so much fun with this-

His personal nurse - Part 6
Characters: Taiju Shiba, reader
Warnings: none
Part 1 -  previous - Part 6 - next
Masterlist
============================================
A few weeks had passed, since you joined the Black Dragons - more involuntary than optional - but you were fine with that. You even made some new friends and you were glad that you could help them after a battle. You never got involved in any of those fights, never approached by any opposing gangs as Taiju promised you. You were just living your normal life - attending school in the morning, doing your own stuff in the afternoon and being a nurse in the evening. Alongside you saved a lot of money - Koko made sure that you were never running out of medical equipment, he paid you more than enough for your services.
Even Taiju was satisfied. The other members were amazed how you handled the attitude of their boss, giving him contradictions, arguing with him about details, even mocking him sometimes, but not in a serious way - and their boss? He's the calmness in person while you're around. Of course, he's arguing back and mocking you too, sometimes with a loud voice, but never getting violent. They even gave you a nickname - “the married couple”. Neither Taiju nor you knew about that.
It was late in the evening, when you received a message. Taiju just send a location, which surprised you. It wasn´t abnormal that he sent you texts like this at such a time, but the location wasn't far away from your home. You were already in your pyjamas, not wanting to get dressed up again. Pressing the call button, you waited for him to pick up.
“Why are you calling me? Come to the location I sent you”, he coughed.
“It's not far away from where I live”, worried about that sound he made. He must be really injured, you thought. “Come here and I'll patch you up. I´m home alone, so don´t worry.”, ending the call and sending him the location, you stood up and prepared everything in the living room.
You were already standing at the door when he arrived. You were shocked, you never saw so much blood on him, knuckles covered in blood, a bursted eyebrow and bottom lip, blood running down his forehead.
“Taiju-san!”
Grabbing him by his coat, you dragged him in, leading him into the living room and forcing him to sit down on the couch.
“You look like shit!”
Now that he can finally relax, he's letting out a deep sigh, holding a hand onto his limbs.
“Nice to see you too, Y/N! And cut the crap with the -san.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever”, observing him while he leaned back. “Who did that?”
“Just some losers.”
“Some? You mean, there was more than one guy?”
“Of course. They know they couldn't stand a chance against me in a one on one. So these punks approached me, when I was alone. But don't worry. I won. All of them are still unconscious and they look much worse than me.”
“And something like that makes you happy?”, seeing his smile, you sighed and shook your head. “Why are you like this….”
“Don't you love it?”
“Meh”, you rolled your eyes in a playful manner. “Stop making dumb comments and let me see your injuries.”
After taking care of the obvious wounds on his hands and his face, you dropped the used utensils on the table.
“Is there anything more? I noticed you were holding your chest when you came in”, you pointed to his abdomen.
Without thinking twice he took off his coat and his shirt, revealing his naked upper body. “Yeah, I think one of my ribs took some damage”, touching his thorax slightly.
You were just staring, this view in front of you made you speechless, your mind going blank, not noticing the blush that was now shown on your cheeks.
‘I knew that he had tattoos, but so many? Man, what a body. I wonder how this abs would feel under my fingers’, you thought, before breaking your paralysis, making a fake cough. “When it's a broken rib, as you said, there´s nothing I can do about it. That will heal by itself over time, but….I can take a look at the superficial wounds….if you want.”
Leaning his arms over the headrest of the couch to give you better access to his upper body, he smirked, “Go ahead. That's your job, isn't it? Woah, where's that blush coming from, sweetie?”
“What blush? I don´t know what you mean”, you mumble, looking down at your lap. “Shut up and let me do my job.”
Never taking his eyes off of you, feeling your breath on his chest while you cleaned the scratches, noticing your shaking hands, he couldn't hold back a cackle. “You are cute when you're like this.”
Now your face was burning, withdrawing your hands and standing up. “I´m done!”, you started to pack away everything you didn't need anymore. You were avoiding his view while he let out a laugh.
“What's so funny?”
“It looks like my muscles confused you, huh? You wanna touch them? Have you never seen a half naked man….or do you´ve got a crush on me now that you've seen me like this?”, he snickered.
“Bullshit!”, clenching your fists. “That's nothing special. (Lie!) I- I just admired your tattoos. That's all. Don't imagine anything.”
‘Aaahhh, this view will always be stuck in my head. Even when I close my eyes, I can see it in my mind. Damn.’
Going into the kitchen to clear your mind and end that ridiculous conversation, you came back with some water and two glasses, taking a seat next to Taiju and turning on the tv.
“Is there anything special you want to watch?”, you only looked at him when you didn't receive an answer. “What? Do you know what time it is? You can't go home now all alone, not in your actual state. I don't want to visit you in the hospital if someone attacks you again.”
Taiju was flabbergasted. “You mean….you let me sleep here?”, earning a nod from you.
“Yeah, my dad has a night shift. He comes home while I'm at school already. And my brother is on the way with his friends. Probably spending the night with one of them.”
“Okay…?”, he couldn't say anything more. Well, it seems like it's a sleepover now. He didn't expect that when he first arrived at your house. “You know it's like a night in the hospital since you are my nurse, right?”
“Why are you like this?”, clapping your hand in front of your forehead, rolling your eyes, you switched on an action movie.

life is full of ups and downs downs downs downs dow
loredump under the cut. not kidding when I say its gonna be long!
oh shit you actually clicked keep reading thank you for your interest 😭😭😭
YOU KNOW THE DRILL tw // suggestive dont read ahead if youre uncomfortable with the topic of aphrodisiacs!
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Tumblr media
before anything, I gotta explain he was born to parents who had an infatuation quirk (makes them hardcore fall in love with you) and an infection quirk (transmits a virus via saliva)
developed his quirk late, since they usually get it by the time kids are four
most people knew him as quirkless before the first incident
in middle school, his class was preparing for a school play, he and his classmate got cast as the main lead prince and princess
coincidentally, they both had a crush on each other and had a scene where they kissed
technically they weren’t supposed to, since its just a play, but one time they were practicing in private and wanted to try kissing “for real”
so they shared a super giggly cute middle school first kiss but well UNFORTUNATELY FOR HIM HIS QUIRK HAD WELL DEVELOPED–
Tumblr media
BADABING BADABOOM YOU HAVE AN IMAGINATION USE IT
the only way for the quirk’s effects to go away is to come at least once or pleasuring yourself until it goes away
I DO NOT WANT TO IMAGINE IT BUT. IMAGINE BEING A TEACHER AND FINDING A MIDDLE SCHOOLER WHO DOES NOT KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING TO HER AND AN ADULT IS FORCED TO TELL HER HOW TO MAKE IT GO AWAY LLLLIKE–
rip now that I’m thinking abt it, I don’t even think anybody would even kNOW HOW TO MAKE IT GO AWAY so lets imagine she painfully stays that way until they figure out how to make it stop :^(
there’s a big fight that happens between the teachers, principal, and parents of both parties
of course the crush’s parents got mad and called their kid a fuckin uhhhhh sexual predator or some shit despite also beING THE SAME AGE AND NOT EVEN KNOWING ABT HIS OWN QUIRK LIKE HELLLO
Tumblr media
obviously an incident like this is going to spread like wildfire but the principal does not want something like this to leak, especially since it was not on purpose and was a total accident
the other kid’s parents and some teachers did not feel comfortable however, and sato was forced to drop out
but not wanting to spread the gossip about their son’s quirk and the incident, they leave the town and move someplace else
thankfully, the principal gives the sato family his good grades and a recommendation to a decent highschool for the trouble
they’re originally from osaka, but moved to tokyo
this is where they start taking precautions with sato, basically teaching him to be careful with his saliva
it was easily taught and learned esp since the mom was already like that around him and others everyday anyway!! she has to take care of her saliva-based infection quirk, after all
HIGH SCHOOL
Tumblr media
he got enrolled into a regular highschool in tokyo
no hero course, no support course, no business, just a regular ol’ school
if before, he loved surrounding himself with people, this was where he was forced to develop a lonely disposition to protect himself and others
at least his parents were very protective and supportive of him and they were generally a happy family!
but in school, pretending to be quirkless was just as difficult, getting bullied or pitied for having no special abilities
his excuse for wearing a mask all the time was because his mother had a virus-related quirk, and had to be careful
Tumblr media
one day his dad was suddenly got really, really sick
the more he had an excuse to wear a mask because he didnt want to get whatever disease his father started to develop
sato started thinking it could be his mother (but why?) the results didn’t say anything about an unknown virus killing him (which is his mom’s quirk), and that his father really did contract a strong yet very normal disease
while on his second year in highschool, his father, yozo sato, died
Tumblr media
apparently, without him knowing anything about his parents, his mother, oba sato, was actually under the dad’s infatuation quirk this whole time
she realised she wasn’t really in love with him when oba had accidentally allowed a drop of her saliva to fall into the meal she was making him, making him sick, and therefore making him weak enough to deactivate his quirk on her
oba, back in her college years, wanted to marry someone else but yozo, who had a crush on her wanted her to himself, used his quirk to make him fall in love with her
so in revenge for making her put up with him all these years to the point of marriage and having a kid, she continued to do this to his food
her quirk doesn’t make anybody sick enough to die, but it made her husband’s immune system weak enough to the point that it contracted a real, serious disease which he ended up dying from instead
sato only finds out the real story when he graduates from highschool, days right after his graduation the mom confesses it all
she does say she truly loves him, but can’t stay around him knowing he was technically “unconsensual love”
sato gets reminded of what his quirk does, and true enough, that’s what him and his quirk turned out to be (a sick combination of his mom and his dad)
they cant bear to be around each other after that revelation and decide to just not see each other again
COLLEGE YEARS
Tumblr media
he enrolls into an education course, inspired by the kind principal who helped him finish his middleschool-highschool education when it all started going downhill
sato struggles paying for his college fees esp since he doesn’t exactly have his parents supporting him anymore, nor any contact with immediate family
he has a lot of part time jobs that go all around the clock, he continues pretending to be quirkless so he gets bullied, and has to deal with all that emotional baggage plus being alone so…….clearly my man is TIRED as hell
his side job hustles include: convenience store cashier, bookstore attendant, bar bouncer, and rookie gym trainer (he went to the local gym long enough for him to get recommended a job as a trainer)
college was that point where he starts developing a hardcore yearning for a companion because oh my god hes so lonELY (but cant)
ANYWAY SO
there’s this bully guy who always picks on him in college (for being “quirkless” and a loner and overall a fuckin weirdo with a mask)
tbh sato doesnt really give a shit he’s so used to it but he doesnt have his mother as an excuse to wear the mask anymore, this is where he starts forming the “I have bad breath” excuse
“口臭い” (kuchi kusai) translates to “bad breath” or “stinky mouth” so sato unlovingly gets nicknamed “kusato”
Tumblr media
one day he’s walking around the campus at night and finds the bully with his gang cornering another quirkless student, with plans of assaulting her
sato was never the hero type, and was about to ignore the commotion as to not get involved, but something in him moved on its own and he found himself face to face with the gang
he confronts them, but the bully mocks both him and the girl for not having powers to stop them anyway
SIKE BITCH sato’s able to easily strike the other two guys, knock them off their feet enough to be able to tug the to-be victim aside, telling her to report them, before asking her to run away as fast as she can
none of the guys want that (they’re all students) so they have a full on brawl (and this isnt hero academy, its a totally normal university so I wouldn’t assume these guys had very impressive quirks)
except the main bully actually has a pretty decent quirk (he’s like a kinda half human half dragon with sharp claws, scales, and dragon eyes) and gets to injure sato with his sharp claws, seriously injuring his face
a part of his ear is also sort of sliced off, which is how his mask gets accidentally removed in the process
the dragon bully grabs him by the collar and starts angrily shouting at him for ruining his night, being able to do all this shit without a quirk and all and all other derogatory speech
“Well? what do you have to say for yourself?!“
Sato stays silent before spitting right into the bully’s mouth
The bully drops him immediately, about to angrily fuck him up for doing something super fucking gross but WHOOP WHOOP YOU KNOW WHATS BOUTTA HAPPEN the quirk works immediately and the bully is a TOTAL MESS on the ground
Im going to TLDR this part cos its…obviously nsfw but like: sato fully embarrasses him in public (beside the bully’s two colleges nonetheless)
Tumblr media
sato stays in the hospital for some time to heal from his wounds
fortunately, afterwards, the bullies all get expelled
unfortunately for sato, he also gets expelled for engaging in bad behaviour, and the bully did say what happened to him (and the college principal did not want his…dangerous quirk on campus) so as to lower any incident, all four were expelled
at least without having to pay for college fees anymore, he could fully focus on paying for food, shelter, and clothes
minus of course the hospital bills needed to pay plus he got a sick ass scar from it anyway HAHAHAHA BSDJHJRHDHF
ADULT LIFE
Tumblr media
he had a lot of jobs here and there, but was more or less doing best as a trainer at a local gym where people weren’t allowed to use their quirks and strengthen their body regularly
a few years went by and he eventually shrugged off everything that happened in his final college years but one day someone familiar walked into the gym! It was the fellow college student he saved!!!
she became a policewoman who wanted to get stronger in this quirkless friendly gym and hadn’t given up on her dreams of being a “hero,” inspired by how sato saved her that day
sato never really saw himself as some hero, he was left many nights alone thinking about how easily he could become a villain with his quirk, so hearing that really made him happy
he trains her as her gym coach and she eventually asks him to join her patrol this small part of the city from a gang that was currently going around doing crimes since he’s good at it anyway, saying she could use some extra hands hehe
so yeah!! he does this side gig with her where he patrols alongside her looking for gang crimes and such c:
AND ONE DAY. [WISTFUL SIGH] ONE DAY. HE FINDS SOMEBODY GETTING MUGGED BY A GANG MEMBER AND SAVES………A CERTAIN MAN–
thank you for reading all the way here!!!
feel free to ask for questions or for any clarifications 😭😭😭!!!!!!

Heartless headcannons for I am now obsessed
(All characters do not belong to me and are infact creations of the lovely ABD illustrates)
Heartless can sometimes get really insecure about their magic as it causes so much harm and destruction. They go into short depressive episodes and are in desperate need of a hug. Luckily, the protagonist crew know exactly how to help their friend during these moments.
Heartless can only remember certain parts of their past from when they were alive. It's usually just a few memories and blurred backgrounds and muffled noises anyway.
Flint is the definition of a noble fighter. Much like Zoro's "A scar on the back is a swordsman's shame" rule, Flint follows a strict code when fighting. The only time he'd ever break that code would be to save his friends.
Lorelei first discovered her abilities when she was a child and used them to get whatever she wanted from her parents and peers.
Eira's smoking habit came from when he was on the streets. After joining the protag gang he slowly abandons the habit but tends to relapse when stressed.
Dock despises rats. He sees them as little plague spreaders and thinks their only purpose is to make his job harder (not that he does a good job in the first place)
Bandy used to be a street performer, only using his powers to perform minor tricks and commit petty theft. His quite mundane day to day led him to seek for more in life, more adventure, more excitement. This eventually led him to joining the Jury.
Alchemy used to have a slight crush on Lorelei until they found out she was part of the Jury willingly.
Creed has a cane-sword. He doesn't use it often but is quite skilled. The cane part also helps when he overuses his ability.
Speaking of which, Creed usually faints/passes out when he overuses his ability as it's very energy consuming. This has led him to often be carried back to whatever base the villain crew are currently staying at by one of his teammates. He refuses to acknowledge this afterwards.
Dopple and Twopple have a sort of twin telepathy. Whether it's because of some sort of magical connection or because their literally the same person, nobody knows. They won't tell.
Lance does not like restraints, being restrained or the dark. This is because of his particularly angsty backstory that I made up. His aversion to being restrained is the reason he doesn't constantly wear his whole suit of armour aka. the reason he goes tiddies out constantly.
Diana is a really great cook and often has to cook meals for the villain squad when their on missions.
Bandy and Lance are both decent cooks however Bandy would rather have someone else do the work and nobody actually believes Lance actually knows how to cook. Nobody trusts Dock to cook without intentionally poisoning the crew for 'SCIENCE'!!!. Lorelei doesn't know how to as she's always been catered to and would also rather have someone else do it for her. Creed is hopeless and should never be allowed near a cooking utensils after the "meatloaf" incident.
Dock is literally a mixture of Professor Membrane and SCP-049
Lance hoards precious things other than weapons such as: a stuffed dragon Bandy stole for him once, one of Creed's giant coats, a scarf that may or may not be a matching pair to Eira's, a recipe of Diana's famous family stew, a dried flower he once picked whilst on a mission and a spare bottle of one of Dock's poisons.
Sometimes when River gets tired (or her prosthetics start to get sore) she'll ask another member of the protag squad to carry her

AU(s) where all the mod videos Tommy does, along with some other videos, are all alternate universes, and their residents end up in the SMP. Chaos ensues.
Voice Mod AU:
Universe where nobody talks aloud. They telepathically communicate, and the closer you are, the clearer and louder you are, unless you have the control the lower your mental voice.
Why?
Post-apocalyptic world(because Tommy said welcome to the new world at the start, and I too that and ran with it). They’re the new versions of humans, created after life returned on the planett, and the telepathy is a survival method, because outward noise draws predators, inner noise does not.
This also means they possibly have some other features similar to that. Like maybe Quackity’s duck wings being from some newly evolved duck species in the new world, Wilbur being a bit abnormally tall, or similar. I’m not sure.
Oh hey, no, Wilbur can be like a tree hybrid or something, cause Treebur.
Basically, evolution and telepathy.
Wilbur has a horse named Bert, he is speedy, and spends just as much time dragging his owner out of trouble than he does riding him into it.
The gang is basically just traveling the lands, exploring what’s about.
There are fish-horses, ender-horses, spider-horses, silverfish ponies, and horses that are somewhat like a breed between llamas and sheep in the world.
There are a lot of new horse breeds.
The Quackity of this universe wears clothes a lot like Manhunt Dream’s, hoodie-wise, but it’s all bright blue, and his mask has the :] face on it.
Size Mod AU:
Universe where people can shift and change sizes, though only to certain ones.
For example, Wilbur’s stuck small. He can shift to the size of a small dog, height wise, or that of a flower, but he can’t get big. Quackity can go smaller than Wilbur, or literally bigger than the Enderdragon. Both Tommy can be normal sized, or big, and Phil’s can be about the size of a tree, or become the size of a small mountain.
They all live in a nice house in the plains and spend their time terrorizing the locals.
Wilbur has a little house within the house, and he uses his size to cause havoc more often than not. Quackity is equally guilty of this.
Sometimes when the kids are being particularly bad, Phil puts the smaller ones in a compost bin and holds Tommy off the ground until he starts behaving.
Quackity’s a follower of the Blood God. Not to Techno’s length, but he goes and kills rabbits for him, and dedicates the chaos his giant form causes to the guy. In return, the four always have a flourishing harvest, and Quackity’s absolutely mean in battle.
Wilbur sleeps in one of Tommy’s old shoes that he stole and made into a bed.
Honestly, Wilbur’s kind of like the house mouse. He steals stuff and vibes in his little home in the walls. The cats that occasionally slip in try to eat him a lot too.
Wilbur and Quackity are bird hybrids, Tommy’s a zombie hybrid(cause he’s fighting a zombie and saying ‘I burn’ at that little bit), and Phil’s an iron golem hybrid.
Quackity and WIlbur have little bird-houses set up around the area for them to dart into and hide if anything comes after them.
They all met when tiny Q and Wilbur tried to rob Tommy and Phil. They succeeded with Tommy, but Phil was less than impressed at the attempt. Somehow it resulted in them all sharing a house.
Dragon Mod AU:
Universe set in more medieval-themed world. Phil, Quackity, and Tommy are dragon hunters. Wilbur’s a mischievous dragon sorcerer who enjoys shapeshifting into a dragon to mess with people. The hunters were originally sent after him, but spent more time frantically running for their lives while he laughed at them.
Wilbur’s actually good friends with the actual Enderdragon, who he calls Keithette. It was with her blessing that he decided to pick on the hunters.
He just spends all of his time messing with them. That’s all he does. He messes with them. It’s originally more malicious, which means they had a ridiculous amount of deaths, but they eventually all grew fond of each other, so now it’s more playful.
He helps them find treasure and scares off rivals.
Tommy’s a trained medic.
Quackity and Wilbur are...something? It’s a Skephalo situation. They could just be very affectionate friends, or they could be dating, or they could be messing with everyone. Nobody knows, and everytime they think they’ve figured it out, the two seem to magically know and do something to throw them off.
They’ve confused many, many people with their antics.
(They’re probably messing with people though, because they definitely know what they’re doing)
When the actual Enderdragon and her egg mysteriously went missing, Wilbur rounded up his friends and asked for their help in finding her-so now the group is on a quest to find her and return her to the End.
Natural Disaster Mod AU:
Universe where world ending natural disasters just keep happening. It killed off a lot of people, but honestly, at this point, it’s been going on for years, and those that remain are pretty used to it.
Tubbo and Wilbur are followers of the Mule God, and were brought together by him. Jack and Tommy are two good friends who came together to survive. And Phil’s a top-tier survivalist who keeps an eye on the four, mostly because he’d feel bad if they died too often while they live in the area.
Though they’re all three different groups, they stick together and help each other out.
Tommy and Tubbo were childhood friends before the disasters separated them. A young Jack found Tommy and took him in, and Tubbo was saved and blessed by the Mule God. They’re still friends, but have somewhat grown apart with their differing lifestyles.
Tommy’s a penguin hybrid.
Tubbo and Wilbur have been known to try and scam people passing by, and they have tried this with everyone in the area too-the difference is the ones who stick around know better than to buy it.
Whenever Tommy wants to hang out, he declares he’s rescuing Tubbo, and steals him from whatever he’s doing. Wilbur has long since accepted that occasionally Tubbo is going to be stolen, and doesn’t even blink anymore.
Tommy wears green, and Tubbo wears red.
Storm riding is a favored sport of Tubbo’s, where you grab a hang glider and get swept up into the storm. Jack hates it, but often gets dragged along anyway.
Morph Mod AU:
Universe where shapeshifters are more common, and Tommy, Charlie, Phil, Schlatt, and Wilbur are all a clan of them.
They co-exist with humans, and actually protect the local villages they live close too.
They also spend a lot of time messing with people outside said villages, but that’s unimportant.
Charlie and Wilbur prefer to be aquatic creatures. while Phil transforms into whatever works better for the environment he’s in. Schlatt just does whatever, and Tommy usually sticks to human form, only shifting when he’s bored or he needs too.
Wilbur tried to transform into a horse once, while in fish form. He’s not sure what exactly happened, but long story short, he’s the reason for the myth of the hippocampus.
They have a house in the village, one out, and then general little areas meant for them in animal form.
Because shapeshifters are strongly group-oriented, they prefer to shift in pairs or groups. Charlie and Wilbur typically pair up, as do Schlatt and Tommy. Philza doesn’t really have that instinct as strongly, so he just stays close to them instead.
Laser Eye Mod AU:
Universe set in a futuristic setting, where, due to an ancient void deity becoming malicious, Tommy, Phil, Charlie, and Wilbur are selected to become plasma wielding cyber warriors(futuristic magical girls, basically) to fight back against such threats.
These four’s cybernetics were embued with magic to produce specific plasma that would be effective against threats.
Phil wields divine plasma, and it’s fired out from his cybernetic wings, which were implanted as a military experiment. He can even detach a feather to act as a plasma covered sword.
Tommy wields phoenix plasma, and it’s fired out of his cybernetic eyes, which were transplanted into him when he was in an accident young, rendering him blind. They allow him to see by scanning out the outlines of objects and areas, and feeding the image into his brain.
Wilbur wields soulfire plasma, which is fired from his prosthetic legs, which have a kind of mermaid-motif, with fins and all, and make him a fast swimmer.
And Charlie wields greekfire plasma, fired from his cybernetic arm-it can also fire slime-like globs that rapidly grow and incase the area they’re attached too.
Wilbur was actually the first selected for the program, but he went missing shortly after, stolen and controlled by the void deity, who turned him into quite the obstacle for the others.
They eventually rescued him from it’s control, and after he recovered, he joined the fight.
Endermen and endermen hybrids are common minions of the void deity-it seems to have End-based origins, being able to control them.
Lava Ravine Mod AU:
Universe where Phil, Charlie, Wilbur, and Tommy are all strangers, who get a mysterious invite to an unknown world. It seems like a lovely vacation at first, strangers aside, but things turn deadly when a seemingly normal ravine in the ground begins to grow, the lava inside it begins to rise, and our heroes find themselves unable to leave the world.
They soon realized they may have been selected for their ability to survive, but to do that, they’re going to have to all work together.
Tommyinnit originates from the world of RLcraft, Phil grew up in Hardcore Mode, Charlie is a fallen god from a world of chaos, and Wilbur has lived through a world like this before.
They build a giant glass and stone dome, and live within there, using their various skills to survive.
Wilbur pretty much knows how this world works to a T, and is able to predict when the lava will raise and how quickly. He knows how to survive and work around the heat.
Tommy and Phil have a variety of skills from their lives before, not limited to first aid and cooking.
And Charlie’s got a bit of godly power he can put to good use here, as well as many out-of-the-box ideas for what to do.
Charlie brought a card-game from his old world, and teaches Wilbur how to play. It becomes a favorite past time of theirs.
Jump Mod AU:
Universe where enhanced individuals have recently begun to exist. Tommy, Wilbur, and Quackity are some of many who choose to use their new abilities for their own gain, becoming thieves. They were taken under the wing of master thief Philza, who was in the game long before he gained his new powers.
Or, well, they were thieves. A job gone wrong resulted in them being caught by authorities, and forced into a deal. Once thieves for their own gain, now they’re agents for the government, stealing back what was stolen from their country.
All of them are generally more physically enhanced, with agility, endurance, and all that jazz. But they also have other abilities.
Tommy’s faster than anyone. Wilbur can refract light, essentially becoming invisible. Phil can communicate with birds. And Quackity can change the density of anything he touches, himself excluded.
Philza was actually caught because he stayed behind for his new partners. He had realized someone was looking into them, and didn’t want the younger ones going into that alone.
TNT Mod AU:
Universe where everyone is a mob hybrid, and they live divided in tribes. Tommy, Phil, Charlie, and Wilbur are a tribe/keg of creeper hybrids, who protect their territory, and cause havoc for any trespassers who happens upon them.
No one dares settle there, because these four are just as likely to swear a village’s protection as they are to laugh as they set it ablaze. It’s purely up to how they feel at the moment, finicky keg that they are.
However, there is a reason some do venture here.
Every tribe/(name for grouping of specific mob) guards a certain treasure. For the creeper boys, it’s an orchard of apple trees that grow, not only red apples, but gold ones too-and rarely, a god apple.
If you do happen to stumble upon their territory unintentionally, your best bet is to appeal to Wilbur, as he does have a soft spot for people-of course, you’ll need to make sure none of the others think you’re taking advantage of that soft spot, lest they slowly and painfully kill you for even considering it.
Creepers are very friendly to them, and see them as one of their own. Other mobs, not so much.
The orchard is surrounded by a dense forest, that’s abruptly lets up to a clearing that rings around it. This is where the keg lives, in high tree houses all connected to one another.
Their forest is their pride and joy, and it’s filled with many exotic trees and plants from around the world. Bringing them an addition for it is a sure way to assure your survival, and even gain an alliance, if it’s a really good addition.
Likewise, messing it up even slightly will immediately get you murdered.
Black Hole Mod AU:
Universe where the sun exploded and became a black hole that’s slowly consuming the world. Though many perished, some survived, with the advanced technology in the future.
Wilbur, Charlie, Phil, and Tommy are some of those survivors.
Charlie is a scientist, studying the black hole to see if there’s anyway to perhaps stop it, or survive within it once it consumes them.
Phil’s a former mercenary who came to the lab with Tommy, after finding the young student stumbling about the remains of a city.
Wilbur’s the former on-board scientist from the crew that first encountered the black hole. He was originally presumed dead, but suddenly reappeared one day, and was found nearby by Phil, who dragged him to the lab. He’s...different. He’s seen things.
Charlie and Wilbur graduated from the same university, and were actually working in the same lab before Wilbur joined his crew in space for an up-close study.
Philza has a bad habit of adopting any creature he finds, and it’s become something of a joke by the four. He adopted Tommy, he’s adopted Wilbur and Charlie, and he has quite a few birds and other creatures that followed him back.
Body Shuffle Mod AU:
Universe where glitches a common sight, and humanity has evolved alongside them.
The world basically...well, I wouldn’t say revolves around? But glitches are a large part of life at this point, and players have specifically evolved to be able to work with them.
A common glitch includes the Body Glitch, where random body parts will seemingly vanish off a person without causing them harm or effecting them.
Tommy and Charlie are Takers, people who have a special, glitch-specific gene that allows them to take a glitch effecting a being or item, and pull that effect from said being/item, and upon themselves.
They’re equally loved and hated, considering the rarity of the gene, and what uses it could be employed for.
The two have a business that they use this ability to take and relocate glitches for various purposes.
Philza and Wilbur are the two’s bodyguards turned friends, who protect them from less savory people, and suss out the ones with bad intentions.
Gas Mod AU:
Universe set in a modern fantasy world where a mysterious gas suddenly overtook the planet. Many died. A few survived-but for some of them, that was the crueler fate, as the mysterious gas began to make them monsterous creatures that sought flesh and blood.
Tommy, Charlie, Phil and Wilbur are the scattered survivors in a city overtaken by the gas, banding together to fight back the monsters born from the green fog, and stay alive.
Wilbur was formerly a cartographer on a ship. He’s also half siren, and his most priceless possession is a diamond dagger given to him by his former captain.
Charlie is a doctor, as well as a wizard. His magic pet is a slime-like dragon. Yeah, he’s not sure where the little guy came from either.
Phil got a whole cocktail of heritage, but most are sky-related, so he’s got a strong grasp on air magic, which he uses to create safe bubbles for the gang to breathe freely.
And Tommy’s a low tier human-turned demon after death- an imp, basically. He causes havoc.
They all have to wear gas mask, which are heavily enchanted to keep the gas from affecting them.
The group basically just has a weirdly domestic life in the abandoned city, after they cleared out an abandoned apartment building to chill in.
Surgery Mod:
Universe where the gang are the experiments of a mad scientist having escaped.
Tommy is a poison-based experiment, Wilbur is a Nether-based one, Philza is an End-based experiment, and Charlie is an Over-world based one.
They were all grouped together in a cell because the older three are part of the Dimension Project, and Tommy accidentally imprinted on Wilbur when he was created, meaning he would have died if he was separated from him.
The four eventually decide that they hate this life, and stage a break out with the rest of the guys experiments.
Once they escaped, they decided to travel the world as a family, exploring everything they’d never had the chance to see, and finding where they belonged in this place.
Lava Floor Mod AU:
Universe where all the oceans in the world have been replaced by lava. For Ninja, Tommy, Wilbur, and George, their get-along vacation goes south when they’re stranded alone on a chain of distant islands, far from any sign of civilization.
If they ever hope to survive, they’ll have to put their issues to the side and work together to get to the one place unaffected-the Nether.
Tommy ‘Smokes’ Notfound, and Wilbur ‘Soot’ Fortnite are the two children of the struggling couple George ‘Specs’ Notfound and Ninja ‘Bow’ Fortnite, who haven’t seen each other in years, despite still being married.
The two, knowing how close their kids were, agree to meet up so the two can hang out, which is why they ended up on this vacation on the first place.
Wilbur and Smokes would really appreciate if their parents could get along too-it’d make vacation a lot nicer without all the tension. And yes, they could worry about all the oceans turning to lava, but they won’t. Instead, they’re going to be gremlins who try to get their parents to make up, whether that means divorce, or becoming a happy couple again.
Rising Void Mod AU:
Universe where the planets are being eaten by the void. Tommy, Philza, and Quackity are all aliens who managed to escape the demise of their home planets, and crashed landed on Earth, with the intention of warning them of what was coming.
Unfortunately, the only guy around for miles is Ranboo, a conspiracy theorist who prefers his isolated mountain cabin to the city...and also is in complete denial about the existence of aliens, even if they’re standing right in front of him.
Quackity is from a planet where ores and gems have a large part of fashion culture.
Tommy’s planet was the first to fall. However, Quackity was the one who was closest to be touching, and it leaves side effects-like him occasionally hearing it’s eldritch whispering calling for him to surrender himself to it and stop fighting-
But, y’know. It’s fine. It’s all good.
(Although he does happen to be the most aware of their inevitable fate, and uses humor to cope with the knowledge that no matter how hard they try, he and these people he’s grown to care for are going to die, and there’s absolutely no way to stop that)
Sky Grid Mod AU
Universe where Ranboo is a young, lonely god born to a grid-formed world. Though he has made many interesting creations, he decides he wants someone like him. Who can listen, and answer, and love, and hate.
And the universe loves him, so it answers.
It finds two souls who’ve died too young, and puts them into his hands to mold as he wishes. One, he creates in colors of green, like grass, and emeralds, and poison alike. The other, he creates in colors of red, like lava and poppies, and warm beds.
Their names are Tubbo and Tommy, and they’re different than what he thought they’d be. They cannot be controlled or remade, but they can bleed, and they can laugh, and most importantly, they can make choices.
And they choose to love him, taking him in their embrace as a friend, treating him kindly, and as one of their own, regardless of his power or abilities.
The three make a home in the gridded world, finding themselves and never fearing the fall, because the world loves both it’s godling, and the people made within it.
Terraforming The Moon AU:
Universe where the remains of humanity have fled to the moon upon the destruction of earth. They unintentionally awake age-old space deities, who, luckily for them, feel like lending a hand-mostly.
Wilbur is the only actual deity of the moon, but the rest of the SBI spend more time there than they don’t, because humans are interesting.
Tommy’s the youngest god, a deity of the stars within their young galaxy-it’s a position that was passed onto him by the former star deity, Clara.
Technoblade is the deity of both Mars and Venus. He’s actually been to Earth a few times before it’s destruction, and finds their cultures fascinating-particularly the Greek and Romans.
Philza is the god of the End. The oldest, he’s not just a deity, he’s a primordial of the end of all things. Truthfully, it was the very end of Earth that awoke him from his slumber, and it’s former inhabitants interesting lives that keep him awake.
They all pick a human to favor, and help out. Changes on the day.
Honestly, they aren’t necessarily malicious? They don’t really consider the fact that humans don’t have the same limitations and powers as them, so occasionally they fuck something up that somebody worked hard on, and don’t understand why they don’t just fix it already, not realizing that the humans actually have to take awhile to do that.
One Hundred Player Laboratory AU:
Universe set in modern time.
Wilbur and Technoblade are two university students trying to do a study for their finals-unfortunately, the rats they were supposed to use are both oddly sentient, and incredibly chaotic.
Techno and Wilbur are doing a study of behavior, and other scientific things. To do this, Techno has built a large, complex maze/building thing.
And Wilbur purchased a bunch of rats-except, he probably should have been a bit more careful who he bought from, becomes these rats definitely understand human speech, are all not normally colored, and desire to be as annoying and detrimental to their grades as possible.
To put it lightly, it’s not going well.
George’s If You Laugh You Lose Rematch AU:
Universe set in a chaotic, light-hearted world.
Sapnap, Karl, George, and Dream are some of the world’s residents.
Karl and Dream are chaotic shapeshifters who enjoy messing with George.
Sapnap’s a mischievous nether spirit who likes to team up and help them do it.
Karl can shift into objects, and Dream can turn into animals.
The whole world is comedic, and all it’s residents have a permanent case of the giggles-to the point of making a game of how long one can hold off laughing.
Sapnap usually takes the form of an enderman or enderman hybrid

OK WHEEL OF TIME TIME
first of all
Tumblr media
I have loved this series for SO LONG I CANT TELL YOU HOW HAPPY THIS MAKES ME. And I am determined to enjoy this show, so fuck the negativity.
They set the series up SO GOOD in just a few scenes. The first line of exposition from Moraine was exactly what I thought it would be. "Only women can use the Power, and men broke the world." Boom. There you go. Then they showed the audience exactly what happens to men who try to channel by showing a group of Red Aes Sedai chasing two men. Only to find out that its ONE man who is hallucinating the other one. Men who channel go insane. Bad luck. And the Red sister do something horrible off screen. Ironically, they call it Gentling. So we already have that as a set up for the conflict of Men vs Women channelers.
Then we get to be introduced to THE WORLD
Oh my god is it gorgeous. The sweeping scenery is very much high fantasy, giving you a sense of LARGENESS of this country. We even get to see ruins that look both old and HUGE. Which is great, bc I always got the sense of giant cities from Jordan's work.
We get to see Egwene's coming of age ceremony, and the most striking thing to note is the women's only ceremony. We see this a BUNCH, since it's a major theme. And I like that. The Red sisters, the women's circle, and we even see a group of women ganging up on a trolloc later. This episode said GIRL POWER and that's sexy.
Now let's talk about the main 4. Well, 5, but four of them are candidates to be the Dragon Reborn. Nynaeve is extra. Which, we think Nynaeve is killed but she ain't. Nothing can kill that woman and I love her for it.
They did a fantastic job of setting up the characters. Egwene has just reached of age, and she has a lot to prove to everyone. She also has to make a choice on if she is going to marry Rand, or become a Wisdom. Perrin was given a wife to start off with and she only got like... two lines. And I hate that she was immediately killed off, but that sets up a lot of conflict that Book!Perrin didn't really have. I always felt that Book Perrin was the weakest of the three with the internal motivation. His entire arc is basically he hates himself, and it's all internal. Which. Isn't great when you want people to love the character. So this sets up the same conflict for Perrin, just in a different way. Mat's family is purely dysfunctional and it's heartbreaking to see it. They also made Mat poor?? Which was weird but adds to the dysfunction. Also, his luck is rock bottom so it can only go up from there!!
And Rand. Baby Rand. Sweet, innocent, delicious cinnamon roll. He is.... so ripe for the picking. That smile. I can't wait to see it turn to pain.
OH EXCUSE ME SORRY THAT WAS MY SADISTIC SIDE GETTING OUT.
Nynaeve's character is also wonderful. She has the same spit and fire as book!Nynaeve and I ADORE HER ALREADY.
MORAINE. MY QUEEN. IS SUCH A BADASS. AND WHEN SHE FINALLY USES THE ONE POWER I SAW GOD AND IT WAS A WOMAN. I love the way they portray the Power with the threads and the weaving. It's all very mystical, and I love it. It's not campy, it LOOKS and FEELS powerful.
AND LAN. SWEET BABY CHRIST ON A CORN MUFFIN. THAT MALKIER ASS DESTROYED ME. AND THE WAY HE DANCED AROUND MORAINE FIGHTING AND KILLING THE TROLLOCS IT WAS PURE POETRY. I love that we get to see a naked man butt before we ever see any tits. I appreciate this so much.
There were a few things that felt rushed, especially at the end of the episode where Morainse just said "we gotta go" when she hadn't talked to ANY of the 4?? I dunno, I feel like there were a few scenes cut out that could have made that flow better.
But all in all, I am SO EXCITED for this series!! I can't wait to see the way our babies save the world!!

Wuko in the comics
Welcome to my first post discussing Wuko in the LoK comic books!
This first post will be discussing Turf Wars- which unfortunately does not feature Wu. But there are lots of excellent Mako moments, and there are some major plot points that carry over into the next comic trilogy.
Tumblr media
Turf Wars is the first LoK comic trilogy released after the finale. Though it was released two and half years after the finale aired, it picks up right where we left off. While the creators confirmed after the finale aired that Korrasami was canon, the last moments of the animated series were a little ambiguous (on purpose, since this was a time when queer representation was just not considered "acceptable" in children's media-it was truly the only way they could get away with it). The comics definitively remove all ambiguity. Turf Wars features multiple frames of Korra and Asami kissing, holding hands, and coming out to their friends and family.
The overarching plot of Turf Wars is a conflict over the land upon which the new spirit portal sets. There is also conflict between rival Triad gangs, the Triple Threats and the Creeping Crystals, over turf in Republic City following the chaos of Kuvira's invasion. These two sets of turf wars overlap when a business tycoon hires the Triple Threats to secure the spirit portal for him by driving others off. The new Leader of the Triple Threats, Tokuga, is attacked by a spirit defending the portal, causing him to gain a dragon-like appearance and a new agenda-seizing control of all Republic City. In the midst of all this there is a refugee crisis, a presidential election, and Korra and Asami trying to navigate their new relationship once they return to the real world with all their responsibilities.
Notable plot points and character developments:
Korra and Asami canon is confirmed (repeatedly)-They come out to family and their friends
Business owner Wonyong Keum, who owns the land upon which the new portal sits, demands everyone vacate so he can turn it into a tourist attraction for profit-prompting Korra to enter the Avatar state to temporarily drive him away.
An unhappy spirit requests Korra closes the portal to prevent exploitation of the spirit world.
Bolin joins Mako as his rookie detective partner.
Zhu Li is running efforts to care for refugees who lost their homes during Kuvira’s attack and teams up with Asami to begin rebuilding homes for everyone displaced.
Tokuga is introduced as the leader of the Triple Threats, fighting for control of the streets with Jargala, the leader of the Creeping Crystals.
Kya reveals she is queer and gives us a history lesson on the context of LGBTQ+ history in the world.
Tokuga is attacked by the afore-mentioned spirit and his right arm and half his face become dragon-esque.
Raiko is a colossal idiot. He is way too focused on getting reelected and making his decisions based on what his campaign advisor suggests, rather than just, you know, governing his city. He calls the military to occupy the portal, prompting the Airbenders to peacefully protest.
Zhu Li runs against Raiko for the presidency. She rallies more protesters to protect the spirit portal while her husband films her for his newest project- a “docu-mover” which he presumably uses to influence the election.
Asami and Keum are kidnapped by Tokuga and forced to make a poison gas device bring the city under Tokuga’s control.
The Krew manages to save the day of course, thanks to Asami’s wit, Korra’s unstoppable stubbornness, and back-up from Bolin and Mako. Except Mako, bless him, says he’ll “take care of Tokuga”, and then promptly loses him.
Tokuga mysteriously disappears into the spirit world.
Zhu Li wins the presidency.
Korra and Asami share a lovely, romantic moment where they exchange their first “I love you”s at the conclusion of the comic.
Mako scenes
There is no Wu in the Turf Wars comics (Unless you count one line of dialogue where it is mentioned that the Earth Kingdom is sending supplies to help the refugee situation) - however, there is plenty of Mako! Mako’s primary role in this series is as a detective trying to find and stop the Triads from waging their turf war in the city.
Our first scenes with Mako shows him back to being a detective- and his brother is his partner. He doesn’t seem super thrilled to be working with Bolin, but I think it’s just because he knows how his brother is- not that he doesn’t want to spend time with him. They are trying to track down the new leader of the triple threats and control gang activity. Mako’s arm is still in a sling, he’s got his usual brooding grumpy facial expression, and his hair is spiky again! He and Bolin arrest two-toed Ping and try to interrogate him. Two-toed Ping is weirdly proud of Mako and Bolin for rising up from being “nobodies” to a couple of “bigtime cops”.
They catch up with Korra and Asami, and the four of them are alerted by Jinora that the Triple threats are attacking the Airbenders that were meditating at the portal. Asami gets hurt in the battle and she and Korra share a kiss in front of everyone:
Tumblr media
Look at Opal’s sweet face. She looks like she’s barely containing her excitement and is maybe squealing a bit, and she’s looking directly at Bolin which I think is a sweet moment to show their relationship. Bolin calls dibs on the first double date.
Tumblr media
Mako probably needs time to process the information....
Mako and Bolin do some detective work to try and find Tokuga. There is an interesting scene where they are questioning Scoochy (We saw him in the first season, he’s the kid that told Korra and Mako the Bolin went to do some work for the triple threats before getting captured by equalists) Bolin tells Mako they should do “good cop, bad cop”, with Bolin being the good cop. Mako gets annoyed, and Bolin asks if he’s grumpy because his exes are dating. Mako insists he’s cool with it- though he’s got a distressed look on his face. They catch up to Scoochy and Bolin actually loses his temper and is rather menacing. Mako pulls Bolin back and genuinely connects with Scoochy- relating to his past, pushing him to do the right thing and help others. I really liked this moment because it shows how much character growth he’s had when you compare the way he treated Kai in season 3. (They are ultimately unsuccessful and Scoochy’s tip leads them to a room rigged with explosives- but I don’t think Scoochy knew that, I think he was fed false info).
There’s another touching scene, after Asami is kidnapped, where Mako notices how upset Korra seems as everyone is trying to form a plan to stop Tokuga. He steps aside to check in and see how she’s feeling. He comforts her’ empathizes with her, and reassures her that they are going to find Asami. At this point he seems to have fully processed that they are together and seems to fully accept it and is very supportive. Not easy considering the awkward position he’s in as both their exes. In this scene, Mako also informs Korra that he can’t firebend with his injured arm.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mako and Bolin helps Korra to find Asami by requesting help from Jargala- in spite of the fact that Chief Beifong told them not to… They show up for Korra and Asami even if it means risking their jobs. They team up and fight the bad guys together, just like the old days.
We see many examples of how bad the damage is from Mako’s injury in the Colossus. He can’t bend with his left arm, it’s in a sling almost the whole comic, and he really doesn’t seem to be at the top of his game. He told Bolin he would take care of catching Tokuga, but apparently couldn’t and lost him. Mako’s injury is pretty bad and it’s probably really frustrating.
At the end, Bolin decides to quit the force (surprise. The guy loves to hop from calling to calling!). He makes a big dramatic speech to Mako, talking about how it’s time they go their separate ways. Mako is like “Um I’m going to see you at home in like two hours”, so it sounds like they are living together.
What all this might mean for Wuko
So now I’m going to try to tie things back into how all this affects the potential of Wuko- whether that’s for headcanons or fics or whatever- and just try to give you an idea of what this comic means for Wuko shippers.
Wu is governing in the Earth Kingdom right now. It is mentioned by Zhu Li that the Earth Kingdom sent supplies, so one can assume Wu has taken his place on the throne and the Earth Kingdom is in a stable enough position to be sending supplies to aid another nation. Nothing is mentioned about efforts to transform the Earth Kingdom into a democratic nation (we’ll get to that in the Ruins of the Empire comics).
Mako’s primary relationships that are explored are with his brother and with Korra. His relationship with Bolin is just as it always is. He loves his brother even if he is a little exhausted by his upbeat, enthusiastic attitude. We build up on his final interaction with Korra from the animated series and continue to firmly establish them as friends and amicable exes. Interestingly, we don’t get any meaningful Mako and Asami interactions. When he is comforting Korra, he relates to her by remembering how worried he was when Korra was kidnapped by Amon. He doesn't try to say “Yeah I’m really worried about Asami too”, which, to me is bizarre because he and Asami are friends too, right? I don’t know if we should read too much into it though- most likely it was just a writing choice that we aren’t meant to psycho-analyze- but it could also mean he is being careful with his words so that Korra doesn’t wonder if he still has feelings for Asami. The love triangle is completely resolved and Mako is out of the picture romantically with either of them and has no lingering romantic feelings. In other words, he is 100% ready available for a relationship with someone else.
The scene where Kya gives us a history lesson establishes how LGBTQ+ people are viewed in the world of LoK. In short, Korra and Asami are fully supported by their friends and family, and even their enemies acknowledge their relationship without any homophobic tones. The closest we get to homophobia is Korra's father, who, after expressing his happiness at their relationship, warns Korra to be cautious going forward because not everyone will be as understanding. Kya gives us a quick lesson on how same-gender relationships are viewed across the nations: The water tribe, being a patriarchal culture, expects discretion. The Earth Kingdom is not particularly accepting-Kya says that Avatar Kyoshi was bisexual but couldn't affect "real change" and that the earth kingdom is the slowest to accept change and is also militarily repressive (full disclosure I have not read the Kyoshi comics, maybe there is additional insight in those?). And in the fire nation, Sozin made same-gender relationships illegal when he took power (I hope Zuko undid all that when he became Firelord). The air nation is the only one that seems truly accepting-Kya paints a picture of total acceptance and says that Aang was supportive when she herself came out. Korra is worried that maybe her father was right, but Asami points out that a lot has changed over the years and everyone seems accepting, especially in Republic City.
I think what we can take away from this as far as Wuko goes- is that in Republic City, same-gender relationships are not much of an issue, while in the Earth Kingdom it could be viewed negatively. One could make a case that Wu might have cause to be closeted, while Mako might not. (Feel free to reject this history canon and substitute your own. I’d just as soon say that no one in the avatar-verse cares if you aren’t cis or het).
In conclusion. Mako is just a guy trying very hard to be a good, supportive friend to his exes who are now dating each other. He loves them (platonically) he loves his brother, he’s kind and has matured a lot, but he still always has a grumpy look on his face so it’s time for him to move on and get together with Wu.
Well, that’s Turf Wars. I did cram the plot of three comic books into one post, so I certainly did not hit all the details. If you feel I missed something crucial, feel free to reblog with your own takes. Next I’ll discuss Ruins of the Empire, in which we get lots of Wu and potential Wuko moments, a sizable helping of angst and even some Wu & Korra friendship! RotE is a really fun comic trilogy and I’ll be breaking it down into multiple posts. Thanks for reading everyone!

BBC’s The Watch Episode Two Review: Ook
Episode Review order: one, three, four, five, six, seven, eight
Hello Discworld fans! My name is Mortis and I’m back again to give a recap and my thoughts about episode two of BBC’s The Watch, Ook. Before we begin, for those who have not seen my review of episode one, I will be using nicknames to differentiate between The Watch characters and their Discworld counterparts. This is to eliminate any confusion one might have when I refer to the actions and personalities of a character between show and books. That being said, some of the previous nicknames have been updated as new information has changed my perception of their character. Moving forward, the previous nickname Himbo Carrot will now be Good Boy Carrot (Carrot Ironfounderson) as he has shown to be the only competent character in The Watch. Ok here we go.
Forgot to include this last time but spoilers ahead.
Episode Recap:
This episode starts out with a real doozy, ya ready?
Detritus straight up fucking dies!
That’s right, less than 5 minutes into episode two and Detritus has already bit the dust after getting shot by arrows saving Vimes’s life! So much for diversity in The Watch, now there is only tall humanoids…oh and Werechipmunk Angua (Angua von Uberwald) is there to (The actress is like exactly 5ft tall, it’s kind of amazing). Here’s a bit more context if I just gave you whiplash. In the previous episode, Raccoon Vimes (Samuel Vimes) and Supermodel Sybil (Lady Sybil Ramkin) had just found the missing library book on how to summon a dragon before Gang Leader Carcer (Carcer Dun) steps in and fires his crossbow at the overgrown raccoon.
Episode two picks up immediately after Raccoon Vimes is confronted by Bitchy Death (Death) who tells him that he hasn’t died yet and that someone is about to save his life. Well turns out it’s Faux Detritus (Sergeant Detritus) who comes running in to the sound of Where is my Mind by Pixies only to get shot a bunch of times and fall over dead. Now, Detritus in Men at Arms by Terry Pratchett had been shot at point blank range by a GONNE in order to protect Constable Cuddy and although he took serious damage to the torso he did survive. So, for the showrunners to then turn around and kill Faux Detritus (who is made entirely out of ROCKS) with a few arrows is absolutely mind boggling. This is also a good time to point out that in the first episode Raccoon Vimes spoke on how Faux Detritus saved his life one night after he decided to commit suicide by jumping off the bridge the troll had been living under. As the scene continues, we are also told that they were each other’s reasons to live. Although, it is not entirely clear why Faux Detritus had those same thoughts about Raccoon Vimes since he seemed to have saved the man’s life and collapsed the bridge he was keeping up with his body on a whim. I guess Faux Detritus looked back on his life and thought, “Fuck it might as well shack up with this mentally unstable dude and just see where things take me.” Should’ve just stayed under the bridge Faux Detritus, would’ve saved you a lot of trouble.
Anyway, GL Carcer runs off with the book as the merry band of morons fight off a bunch of goblins who do not get paid enough to deal with this bullshit and eventually, they all end up back at the Mended Drum. Raccoon Vimes is drinking away his sorrows when Good Boy Carrot gets up and is like, “We need to take this guy down since its technically our job as watchmen,” and Raccoon Vimes is like, “Ok first of all, fuck you. Second, I’m going to Supermodel Sybil’s because she said she wants to help, and I perceive that as a bad thing.” So, he goes off to talk to Supermodel Sybil to persuade her to not join up with the watch.
Important Side Note! I realized at some point that I had no recollection of seeing the river Ankh in episode one or two. So, I went back to check to see if I was just misremembering things but then I quickly found out that in the few shots where you can see Ankh-Morpork from a bird’s eye view…there’s no river…there’s legit no river…how do you forget to include the river of Ankh? The city is partially named after the stupid thing! ANKH-Morpork! The river of ANKH! It’s mentioned in literally every Discworld book that takes place in Ankh-Morpork! How did you forget- you know what? No, I’m moving on from this…
So anyway…Raccoon Vimes is invited into Supermodel Sybil’s abode, well more like breaks in, and avoids several booby traps she set up around the place. Raccoon Vimes goes on to explain that because of what she was doing, capturing thieves and assassins who stumbled into her house that get caught by her traps, Lady Vetinari (Lord Havelock Vetinari) could order the execution of both himself (for not reporting it) and her (for kidnapping and torture-I MEAN-rehabilitating people). As he is talking, she is taking out all these weapons from a cabinet that she explains she is bringing with her when they start looking for GL Carcer. She even manages to lure Raccoon Vimes over a trap door where she then threatens to release the mechanism holding it up to make sure the raccoon man cannot say no to her joining. Here is where the episode picks up as a dragon appears over the city in broad daylight coming in to wreck shop. It then cuts away to show GL Carcer standing over The Summoning of Dragons book and reciting the spell, but after a bit of chanting he loses control of the magic and his hands are subsequently burned before passing out.
Side Note! After the dragon attacks, which I will remind you again occurred in broad daylight and the entire city saw happen, an announcement on the loudspeaker goes out that Lady Vetinari wants everyone to know that what they saw was only a large angry wading bird. This is in reference to a scene in Guards! Guards! when Lord Vetinari tells Sam Vimes to ignore the dragon tracks in the muddy alleyway by saying that it must’ve been a wading bird and to stop investigating. But here’s the thing, it’s not a very funny line to include in the show if literally everyone saw the dragon. The point of Lord Vetinari making that comment to Vimes was because he did not want the city to panic if the captain of the watch were to announce an investigation into a possible dragon attack.
We then cut back to Lady Vetinari meeting up with the leaders of the Assassins Guild, Thieves Guild, and the Archchancellor of Unseen University to talk about what just happened. She immediately suspects this was a magical phenomenon and side eyes the Archchancellor because the wizards have been the reason why much of the technology Ankh-Morpork uses is quite faulty (Apparently, there are payphones in Ankh-Morpork).
Side Note! A spell backfired on the Archchancellor so every time he swears, a noise like someone yelling would abruptly censor him. If you remember that one episode of Spongebob where he learns a bad word written on a dumpster and every time he says the word a dolphin sound effect would play? It’s exactly like that, but a lot less entertaining.
Lady Vetinari outright asks if the sudden appearance of a dragon could be because someone broke into the university and did something they weren’t supposed to do. The Archchancellor, who looks like if Gandalf the Grey went through a hippie phase, scoffs that the school, well specifically the library, has a complex alarm system that’s rigged to go off if trespassers so much as take a step on the premises. No one could’ve entered the library without him knowing about it. Later on, Lady Vetinari pulls Raccoon Vimes aside and is like, “The hippie is acting shady af go investigate,” to which the raccoon is like, “It definitely was an inside job, I’ll see what I can do.”
The next scene focuses on Werechipmunk Angua and Good Boy Carrot talking about the case and it eventually lands on the topic of her transforming into a werewolf. She snarls at him that if she goes out at night then she becomes the danger and she’s not willing to do that to people. I only briefly mentioned this in my episode one review, but it stands to reason I talk about it now. I don’t like the direction the show writers are taking Angua, Carrot and Cheery’s characters in the narrative. In the books they didn’t go boohoo I’m a monster in the eyes of society, they changed Ankh-Morpork’s perception of their species by staying true to the parts of themselves that were previously labeled as strange or wrong. Cheery goes out of her way to embrace her femininity which helped other dwarves’ like her living within the confines of a single-sex culture come out and accept who they are as well as slowly change dwarf society in Ankh-Morpork to become binary inclusive. Carrot identifies as a dwarf and is accepted in dwarf society because he was raised with the same values as them, so he understands how they think and operate because of his personal attachment to the culture. It’s the humans who think he is strange because he was born human but still self identifies as a dwarf. But through his selfless actions and overall kindness he is accepted for who he is by the citizens of Ankh-Morpork which helps Carrot excel in his career. Angua is a werewolf who comes from a family that believed they were superior to both wolves and humans. Angua’s brother Wolfgang killed her sister because even though she carried werewolf blood within her, the only form she took was human and he perceived her as a threat to the bloodline. Her self-control is what prevents her from becoming like her brother Wolfgang who loses himself to the instinct of the wolf and kills indiscriminately/for fun every time he transforms. These characters may be misfits in the sense that they do not conform to the social norms of what society thinks their species should be and act like, but they are in no way monsters like the show portrays them to be. Removing these elements from the characters and putting a negative spin on what gave them depth is not in the spirit of Sir Terry Pratchett’s vision. It is such a huge step back from their original characters it’s almost insulting to see. Instead, The Watch is going in the complete opposite direction by saying because she cannot control herself when she transforms, she fits in with the other “misfits” in the watch, more specifically Good Boy Carrot who also sees himself as a monster after his dwarf parents sent him away. But that’s not what being a misfit is about, what we’re seeing is the formation of a freak show.
That was a real bummer to talk about so let’s look at my favorite part out of this whole episode which is when two goblins are standing over a prone GL Carcer discussing how they hate this job, they don’t get paid enough, and then talking about SEIZING THE MEANS OF PRODUCTION! That’s right! They literally start talking about unionizing and communism while poking their unconscious boss! …And then GL Carcer wakes back up yelling about needing a wizard and ruining the rest of the scene for me.
Side Note! Is it sad that I get excited over the little things in this show instead of the main plot? Because I could not care less about why GL Carcer needed to summon a dragon or why he traveled through time making him look the same age as when he first fell off the tower. No. What I wanna know is whether Karl Marx is a goblin in this universe!
We have now reached the 20-minute mark of the episode! How are we feeling everybody!? Me? NOT SO GREAT!
To cut down on me having to keep going back to cross reference different parts of the episode, I have taken many of the scenes out of order to make the episode more linear so that you, the reader, can understand the story. Now then, we cut back to the blues clues crew hanging out in the waiting room of the university with a dead wizard (just a dead wizard nothing special) waiting for the Archchancellor to show up so they can have permission to ask questions to both himself and the librarian. Good Boy Carrot talks about how all the minutes for the city council meetings can be publicly accessed (which seems super weird Lady Vetinari would allow that but alright) so he knows that the Archchancellor has been complaining about not receiving large quantities of slab (drugs) to be used for magical purposes. He theorizes after reading reports and interviewing the Archchancellor that the wizards are feuding with the Alchemists Guild who supply the drugs, meaning that maybe someone exchanged the book with Carcer for more drugs. Which in retrospect sounds like a horseshit excuse to cover up the Archchancellor’s addiction to the Discworld equivalent of crack cocaine if it was him who stole the book.
Minor rant incoming- I’m already well aware that this show is terrible but another thing that really pisses me off is how the showrunners made Raccoon Vimes a complete moron. So far, Good Boy Carrot has been the only character making headway in the investigation while Raccoon Vimes struggles to even pronounce the word incrimination. Like seriously! Get this kid some ibuprofen for his back because carrying his whole team must be killing him! I’m starting to think that the showrunners decided to combine Sam Vimes, Fred Colon and Nobby Nobs into one character that turned out to be Raccoon Vimes because he is literally all three of their most prominent/worst characteristics. He’s slow on the uptake, he’s pig headed and, most of all, he’s disgusting to look at. I’m not kidding! He looks like he eats mayonnaise by the handful!
Werechipmunk Angua and Tall Cheery head off to question The Librarian who is hanging out in the university library. They are led in by Wizard Wonse (Lupine Wonse) who is posing as a cleaning lady, which is technically a spoiler but hey if you’ve already made it this far you probably don’t care about spoilers, and informs them that the alarm won’t go off because they have the Archchancellor’s permission to be in the library. This part is so weird because in the center of the library there’s a room that allows for anyone who stands in it to read a book that was written in ancient/foreign languages but also allows for people to read others. Like, if two people are in the room together, they are able to get snippets of subconscious thought instead of outwardly reading each other’s minds. So, the Monkey Man (and I do mean monkey man because he looks like the halfway point of a transformation on an Animorphs book cover, See images below) comes down from the chains that hang all over the place and through mind telepathy they start to communicate with one another. Werechipmunk Angua learns that Tall Cheery is afraid of the dark, Tall Cheery finds out Werechipmunk wants to leave the watch, and Monkey Man thinks about…idk, getting some orangutan thang? Also yes, I know The Librarian is an ape but after seeing what they did to him in the show he deserves to be called monkey. When they return to the watch house, Tall Cheery and Werechipmunk Angua announce to Raccoon Vimes and Good Boy Carrot that Monkey Man told them that he was gone the day the book was stolen, and a message was sent out by Hippie Gandalf who denied ever sending a letter. They also found out the tower GL Carcer dropped off of is directly above the library, so they collectively decide to break into the library, set off the alarms, and lure the Archchancellor into the mind reading room to interrogate him.
Side Note! Tall Cheery is carrying around a part of Detritus with her as a memento mori trinket, but it’s not made into anything so she’s basically just carrying around a chunk of troll flesh in her pocket. I guess people express grief in different ways…
Anyway, if you haven’t figured it out by now, Wizard Wonse was the one who stole the book under pretenses of cleaning so that she can give the book to GL Carcer in exchange for slab. The reason she needs a shit ton of drugs is never fully explained since the showrunners were hoping that making Wonse a wannabe wizard and slab being used for magic was enough of an explanation. So, she goes to GL Carcer saying, “Fuck this I’m out and I’m taking my drugs,” but GL Carcer is like, “Nah nah, I still need your help because I can’t summon the dragon without knowing what this weird symbol in the book means.” But Wizard Wonse is like, “I ain’t doing shit for you until I know what the fuck is going on and why you look exactly the same as you did 20 years ago.” Turns out she was part of GL Carcer’s gang and was locked in the cells that Raccoon Vimes was supposed to break open when he joined the watch and now, she is back to working under GL Carcer. GL Carcer uses their past against her and is like, “Help me translate this rune and I’ll tell you what’s going on,” and she’s like, “Ok whatever.” I’m paraphrasing by the way.
Fast forward to Raccoon Vimes and co breaking into the library through a hatch at the top of the university tower. Before they reach the bottom, the alarm suddenly goes off and they rush the rest of the way down to investigate.
Side Note! Hey so remember when I said that if an intruder took one step into the library the alarms would go off? The Archchancellor really did mean literally one step because the alarm only activates when someone steps on the FLOOR. The watch opened up a panel on the roof and climbed their way down without activating the alarm! And it’s not even one of those kinds of panels where you have to be, “in the know,” to know about its existence. No! The tower can be easily accessed by anyone and the way to get into the library is not even hidden. All someone has to do is walk over to the ledge and boom instant access to the library. It’s not even locked! Any thief who needed to grab a book could’ve used the chains that hang everywhere and never take a step on the ground. You could get away with book theft so easily yet the Archchancellor is like, “nO oNe CaN bReAk iN iT’S pErFeCtLy SaFe!” Most complex alarm system my ass...
Anyway, back to the action, they catch Wizard Wonse in the reading room with the book as Hippie Gandalf comes down to see what’s causing all the commotion. It is then explained that GL Carcer isn’t doing this out of revenge against the raccoon man but because he wants to completely destroy the city for reasons that will be cryptically hinted at at the end of the episode. She then turns to Raccoon Vimes and essentially calls him a bitch for turning on the gang and Raccoon Vimes is like, “Yeah that’s fair.” Then Wizard Wonse’s backup comes in and she runs out with the book all dramatically before a fight between the members of the watch and the goblins break out. I just realized I forgot to mention that Supermodel Sybil has been wandering around the university with an axe this whole time and just shows up to help, so yeah, she’s there also. Werechipmunk Angua then yells at everyone that she’ll hold them off and to run because the moon is about to shine down from the sky lights of the reading room (while they’re all arguing over this the goblins are just kinda standing around not really attacking). She tells Good Boy Carrot to not look at her when she transforms but as he’s going, he looks back at her for a few seconds before leaving and I was so mad the show writers didn’t make her turn around to see him staring and yell, “Dude what the fuck did I just fucking say!? Get out!”
So, it’s the next day (Unsure why they waited until morning to go arrest GL Carcer), and Raccoon Vimes and Good Boy Carrot bust into GL Carcer’s hideout in The Shades but by that point he and Wizard Wonse are long gone. Raccoon Vimes then returns to Lady Vetinari to inform her that they raided GL Carcer’s saferoom but there was no trace of them. Lady Vetinari, surprisingly, is a lot nicer in this show because she kinda builds up the raccoon’s confidence a bit by telling him that she knows he can do this (also girl, you’ve worn the same outfit two days in a row, you good?). She watches him walk off, probably wondering why he smells exactly like rancid cottage cheese, then goes back to whatever she was doing before…bird watching perhaps.
When Raccoon Vimes gets back to the watch house, he compliments Good Boy Carrot’s police work and then laments about the time his old pal GL Carcer slipped and fell off a roof and how he didn’t do jack shit to help. The show then tries to be funny by having Raccoon Vimes break into a long-winded speech about basically nothing as a way of the writers saying, “Look at the stupid man isn’t he such an airhead?” In the books, Vimes was not one for giving speeches, but in this version Racoon Vimes goes at it with the enthusiasm of a toddler talking about random bullshit that has nothing to do with anything. After that whole charade is over, Supermodel Sybil brings up what she found while rooting around in the Unseen University archives. Some sorcerer (not even gonna touch that one) spent his life trying to summon a dragon and upon his death wrote, “I entrust Gawain’s power to you. Place in Veltrick’s hand and all will be well.” Well, the only Gawain I remember being mentioned in the books was the little boy in Hogfather Susan Sto Helit is governess to. But I’m super unsure if The Watch is trying to refer back to something specific in the books or if this is just one of those things they decided to make up on the fly. Anyway, the scene concludes when Racoon Vimes asks Supermodel Sybil to join the watch by handing her a badge and she gets all huffy and leaves. Good Boy Carrot turns to Racoon Vimes and says he has been doing a background check on her and he thinks the captain should see it. The show makes it seem like the viewer finding out that the reason she acts like this is because something bad happened to her in the past is a shocking revelation when we’ve already seen her kill and kidnap a whole bunch of people in the first episode. Like, sorry guys, it’s kind of obvious she doesn’t just kidnap people for shits and giggles.
By the way, Tall Cheery finds Werechipmunk Angua naked behind a dumpster after she spent a whole night eating pussy……….cats (I had to make this joke, don’t judge me). She was able to follow Werechipmunk Angua from the noses and paws she left behind in her rampage and gave her a jacket to cover her nasty self. They briefly talk about how it’s not a bad thing to kill a goblin because they don’t feel pain which is...very fucked up.
Tumblr media
But then they start up on the topic of Werechipmunk Angua wanting to leave out of fear of getting caught as a werewolf. As an act of solidarity between them, Tall Cheery hands her a device that can tell the weather so that Werechipmunk Angua doesn’t get caught unaware by a full moon. Werechipmunk Angua then asks Tall Cheery why she is afraid of the dark to which she answers, “It’s not the dark, it’s what’s in it,” and then I said out loud, “What the fuck kind of bullshit answer is that?”
Minor Rant Incoming- I don’t see the point of allowing The Watch to use swears like shit and piss but can’t show a person’s nipples. I’m already finding The Watch barely enjoyable and now you’re telling me I can’t even see titties!? Unacceptable. 0 out of 10 stars. Go all the way or go home! Censorship be damned!
The episode wraps up by cutting away to Wizard Wonse and GL Carcer running off somewhere before Wizard Wonse stops him and demands answers. GL Carcer then pulls down his shirt to reveal a spiral like pattern on his arm and cryptically explains that he’s teamed up with people who can see every timeline and want GL Carcer to destroy everything.
Tumblr media
I have a hunch he’s referring to the Auditor’s of Reality in the Death books who want to see the universe and humanity destroyed because they make things too messy but it’s way too early to make any conclusions. Pretty sure I’m correct though...
Episode Review:
I must admit, this episode seemed a bit more cohesive with its plot but again, they’re shoving so many ideas and concepts in your face that you don’t know what kind of story they want to tell. It’s like the writers were told to adapt Discworld but not told which book so they ripped and tore bits and pieces out of nearly every single book. You can tell they desperately wanted to appeal to the fans by including all this window dressing in an attempt to hide the glaring plot holes behind it all.
I have said this before but I’ll say it again, I don’t like what they did with all the characters. That shit’s obvious. They’ve turned Wonse who originally worked as the head clerk under Lord Vetinari and the one who summoned the dragon in Guards! Guards! into a wizard who in the past was associated with GL Carcer’s gang. I didn’t mention this at the beginning, but I’ll bring it up now because it’s still bothering me. Wonse, a villain, is played by a woman of color which, again, is extremely eye raising when you take notice that all the “good” characters are white. It’s just one of those things that I have a hard time ignoring. It feels like blatant copaganda.
Overall, episode two is still way too flippant with its storytelling as it hopes viewers will laugh at its half assed jokes and shoved in references to ignore the narrative and characters that crumble apart under any scrutiny.
And now for everyone’s favorite part of the review...
Things in Ook that made me go, “HA! ...Oh wait you’re serious?”:
Wizards do a lot of drugs
Goblin Karl Marx!
Discworld Fans: You remembered to include the river Ankh, right?
        The producers:
Tumblr media
*singing to the tune of Man or Muppet* AM I A MAN OR AM I A MONKEY!?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So no ass or titties? *smashes phone*
They have phones but will they ever show anyone using one? NO!
Honorable Mentions (things I’ve shouted):
Cheery: I got you a device that can tell the weather at night so that you won’t get caught unaware by the full moon. Me: Don’t you have calendars?? And windows??
Cheery: I’m not afraid of the dark itself, I’m afraid of what’s in it. Me: Then you aren’t afraid of the dark! You’re afraid of a specific thing that lurks in the dark! Just say spiders like a normal person you dipshit!
Carcer: The story of this world has already been written. There is no place in it for you or me. Me: Yeah! There sure is no place for a shitty adaption of Discworld when it’s already written!
Current main character kill count (yes, I have to include this because apparently these characters are trigger happy):
Sybil: 3
Angua: At least 6 goblin and an unknown number of cats
Btw, I’m including a new segment of the review called RIVER WATCH! where I update everyone if I see the Ankh River in any future episodes. So far haven’t spotted it yet but if I do I will channel Tina Turner’s energy in Proud Mary when I come back to tell y’all about it.

The crossover fic + learning he's a favorite of yours has me curious: do you think it would be possible to tell a satisfactory Shadow vs. Mr. Mxyzptlk story? I think he'd fit surprisingly well in that milieu as a credible threat: he's something of an older, mistier, shadowy world, kin to fairies and elves and imps, pixies and sprites and genies, bound by old laws and dressed like a parody of 20s/30s class, beyond The Shadow's usual powers and yet...THAT. There a thematic in to this throwdown?
I had never actually thought of Mxy in that light, even though it's very much in line with what he is, because Mxy is one of those characters I don't tend to think about much. He's one of those ready-made perfect villains who pretty much guarantees a fun and creative time whenever he pops up uninvented. Like The Ventriloquist for Batman, he is so uniquely a product of how Superman works and what his stories allow for, that I can't say I ever thought of taking him for a spin outside of them. But there's definitely stuff to work with in putting him and The Shadow together.
Tumblr media
Come to think of it, if there's a Superman villain I think Walter Gibson would have liked to play around with, it would be Mxyzptlk. Mxy stories are fundamentally about Superman being thrust into a position where his only way out is to solve puzzles and turn the tables using nothing but his wits, and Gibson spent the majority of his career before and after The Shadow as a writer of books on magic and puzzles, both of which show up a lot in The Shadow stories. You see it even in several covers which contained clues for the stories within.
To an extent, you could argue that The Shadow might figure out quicker a way to trick Mxy, because The Shadow's already has to utilize a constant amount of trickery and deceit and puzzle-solving in his daily adventures, it comprises almost the majority of what his stories are about under Gibson. The usual Mxyzptlk narrative is one that's well within The Shadow's domain.
Tumblr media
But on the other hand, it's definitely some extremely unusual territory for The Shadow, villain-wise. A villain who eclipses his powers and scope to such an extent is completely unheard of. The one time I can think of where he fought a villain this weird and who he was completely powerless against was when he met Suven The Clown King of Venus (who's definitely a character that could show up in this meeting), and even then Suven was just a weird alien who looked gigantic next to the shrunken Shadow. Even on the few occasions where The Shadow encountered other aliens or eldritch monsters, he was able to find a way to stop the threat for the moment or even kill it, which is definitely not happening here, because Mxy is a whole other level.
Tumblr media
Superman has the strength and endurance and superpowers to roll with whatever mayhem Mxy throws his way. If Mxy decides that The Shadow’s looking too pale so he's gonna give him a tan by throwing him in the sun, what the hell is he gonna do to stop him? I imagine that Mxy would likely take a different approach to messing with The Shadow, since he can't tank nukes like Supes and he's not really a good sport about the game.
Fine, whatever, Mxy's a creative sort, he's got a couple of ideas for messing around with Mr Grim-n-Serious over there, show him what an Eldritch Monster looks like past the squid monsters and dragons he may have met.
The idea I'm getting here is, on one hand, Mxy attacking The Shadow with the usual goofiness he brings with him. And on the other, him realizing that messing with The Shadow's dignity isn't as fun as he thought he'd be, so he instead goes full SCP Foundation/Awful Hospital/Ice Cream Man on The Shadow until he's stopped, trapping him in amusing and horrifying eldritch nightmares and situations that he has absolutely no way to escape until he solves the puzzle.
I mean, he's not fighting Superman here, he can kill this guy with a blink, even just stopping his heart with a thought. No fun in that. He's gotta beat the "Master of Darkness" at his own game. He's got a point to prove.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I imagine that much of the story would play out of The Shadow having to piece together what exactly has gone topsy-turvy in his reality, whether it's Commissioner Weston eating spiders for breakfest or the entirety of Manhattan sans him going blind and all lights going out across the country. And when Mxy comes out with that shrill SURPROISE!!!, assuming The Shadow already knows what he needs to do, then he falls for whatever gambit The Shadow's had to cook up to trick him.
At the end, Mxy is an arrogant bully who lords power over those that can't fight back, and The Shadow's a master of beating those by turning their arrogance against them. It's Duck Amuck, except Bugs is a mind-breaking sadist and Daffy has to fight back.
I imagine something akin to a particularly funny scene from a story called Face of Doom, where a gangster traps The Shadow in a room surrounded by armed henchman so he can enlist him into taking down the city's leading criminal, The Face. The Shadow unmasks himself as Cranston to gain his trust, and the two proceed to talk plans. I'll post the sequence below
Calmly, The Shadow was removing his slouch hat. His arms spread, the black cloak began to drop from his shoulders. Clipper's nervousness changed to elation. If ever a criminal fooled himself, Clipper did so at that moment.
Though The Shadow voiced no agreement to Clipper's offer, the crook was confident that it was sealed. The Shadow was taking a step that no other criminal had ever witnessed.
When Clipper's squinty eyes saw the hawkish features of Lamont Cranston, the crook displayed another of his downward grins. There wasn't any question about the prisoner really being The Shadow.
"A ritzy mug, ain't you?" voiced Clipper. "Well, that makes you the real McCoy. One thing we'd all figured, Shadow — we guessed you was a high-hat guy.
"'You don't get out of here until The Face is croaked! Say, though — maybe one of your ritzy friends could put up a good front with The Face."
"There are others, who might serve. I have agents, you know."
A shrewd gleam brought new ugliness to Clipper's eyes. He had heard of The Shadow's agents. It would be smart stuff—using them to get The Face, then disposing of them afterward. Clipper couldn't hide the eagerness that betrayed his new scheme.
"Good stuff," agreed Clipper. "But how am I going to reach those guys and get them to work with me? They only take orders from you, don't they?"
In reply, Clipper saw Cranston pick up the black cloak and hat. He handed the garments to the crook. For the moment, Clipper was puzzled; then he saw Cranston's hand extend the discarded gloves.
"I get it," chuckled Clipper. "You want me to rig up like I was you. Then the guys that work for you will listen to me. How do you handle them—with some password?"
"Usually," replied The Shadow. "Try on the cloak and hat first, Clipper. I must study the appearance that you make."
It seemed like a give-away of The Shadow's game. Any one could stage this Shadow stuff. All he had to do was masquerade in black, spring a shivery laugh, and shoot quick with his guns. If Cranston could pull it, Clipper could.
The Shadow spends a couple of paragraphs calmly walking Clipper through the steps necessary to pull off a convincing Shadow performance, almost like he's directing him. And then this happens:
The back of Clipper's neck was exposed. Though The Shadow's voice was still the leisurely tone of Cranston, his left hand had lost its laziness. Behind Clipper's back, that fist whipped an automatic from a shoulder holster. Clipper didn't scent the move until the muzzle of the .45 iced his neck.
"It won't work, Shadow," rasped Clipper. "You know it as well as I do! One pop from that gat of yours, the mob will pile in and croak you! There's a wicket in that door; they'll use it!"
The Shadow had shifted low behind Clipper's back. The crook could no longer observe the reflection of Cranston's face. He could still feel the pressure of the gun muzzle on his flesh. "Climb off my neck, Shadow," warned Clipper. "It ain't getting you nowhere!"
It was getting The Shadow further than Clipper guessed. The gun muzzle was actually gone from Clipper's neck. His impression that it rested there was merely an after effect, from former pressure.
Crouched low, The Shadow had now reached the door. Before Clipper guessed what was up, The Shadow twisted the door knob. Wrenching the door inward, he pulled himself behind it.
At the same moment, The Shadow snapped a quick command, in a rasp that resembled Clipper's own harsh tone:
"The Shadow's yours, gang! Croak him!"
It ends for Clipper about as well as you'd expect.
One of the things I like most about Mxy is that you can't take shortcuts with him. It's not like how it is with Riddler stories, where you can half-ass the riddles because you know Batman's gonna win once he touches Riddler and the story's gonna end in a punch-up, Mxyzptlk is completely invincible unless you solve the puzzle he presents, and you'd think of course that, surely, he can't fall for it this time.
He's a wise guy, see, he's seen all of Superman's tricks by now, and what's that dumb old Shadow gonna do that he can't see a mile away? This is almost too easy.
It's so easy, in fact, that The Shadow even agrees, he's lost it completely, and the way he could possibly beat Mxyzptlk is by calling one of his agents to save him, and he's prepared a list of some of his smartest, cleverest agents for this moment. But, no, he wouldn't dare put them in such danger against this invincible, immortal genius, someone has to take this list from him and run, but ZOINKS, Mxy's taken the list. So he's gonna start seeing who is it that the Shadda thinks is smart enough to take him.
Clyde BurKe? Like some dimestore journalist's gonna have a shot, just cause he solves crossword puzzles. Lamont Cranston, yeah, more like, LAMEONT CRANSTON. Harry VincenT, who, the dumb kid who tried jumping off a bridge once? Come on, you gotta give me a hand here, Shadda! Let's see, Pietro, what, some cook? Ya kidding? Moe ShrevnitZ...actually, Shrevy's allright, scratch that one. ShrevY, hey, come on, that's cheating, ya just put Shrevnitz's name again, ya dum-dum. Mr Xanadu, hmm, catchy name but probably not a real guy. And Margo Lane. Yeah, smart dame that one, she could probably figger something out. And ya keep writing everyone's name's weird - WAIT
I KNOW WHAT YER TRYING TO DO HERE.
I KNOW YOU GOT SOME CLEVER SCHEME HERE, I'D SEEN THIS BEFORE, IT'S AN OLD TRICK.
YOU EMPHASIZED THE LETTERS SO THE REAL SMARTEST GUY YOU KNOW WOULD BE HIDDEN WITHIN THEM, SO THAT SOMEONE ELSE COULD FIND HIM.
HAH, THAT'S RICH. THAT'S KID'S PLAY. WHAT, YOU THINK I CAN'T FIND THIS
KLTPZYXM
BY MYSELF?

Been using the Take Notes - Journal of the Dragonborn mod for Skyrim to, well, take notes in an ingame journal for a kinda-sorta fanfic. Here’s what I have so far, plus some screenshots to set the mood.
---1. Some Life Experience--- Master Drogolf has sent me all the way to Riften to pick up some kind of magic crystal! He wouldn't tell me what it's for, but I'm sure it's important... though not important enough for him to go in person. When I asked about that, he said it'll be a chance for me to explore the real world a bit, rather than just sitting around in the tower in Helgen and reading about it.
I can't argue with that, so I'm off! First stop, Riverwood!
---2. City on a Hill--- Riverwood was a pleasant little village, and the people were friendly, but I didn't stay long, being excited about seeing the big city for the first time! Whiterun sits atop a great hill rising up from the plains, painting a breathtaking picture! The Jarl's palace, Dragonsreach is at the very top, looking down on the city. The stories say the dragon Numinex was held captive in that very building... How I wish he was still there, I've always wanted to speak to a dragon! Sadly, they're all extinct. And then there's Jorrvaskr, mead hall of the legendary companions warrior band. This city is truly steeped in history! But before learning all about it, I should head to the local inn and get a hot meal!
---3. Journey to the East--- During my stay in Whiterun, I did some odd jobs for some of the citizens, earning me enough coin to prepare for the journey through Eastmarch, which is supposed to be far more dangerous than the area between Helgen and Whiterun. That much is true, for on the border between Whiterun Hold and Eastmarch stands Valtheim Towers, home to a small gang of bandits. Or I should say, -was- home to bandits. As soon as my spells felled their leader, the rest of them fled into the hills, leaving the main road to the east a safer route... for now.
It's getting late, so I should find a place to rest. Perhaps that ruined tower set into the mountainside.
---4. Kaidan--- The tower turned out to be some kind of hideout for the Thalmor! Fortunately, it seems to have been almost abandoned, as there were only two of them inside. Good thing, as I'm not sure I would've fared well against a full garrison of Justiciars! They also had a prisoner, a man named Kaidan. I freed him and helped him get his equipment back from the Thalmor, including a large Akaviri sword inscribed with some strangely familiar runes. For aiding him, Kaidan has offered to become my bodyguard to repay the debt. I tried to tell him he didn't owe me anything, but he wouldn't hear of it, and so I've earned myself a travelling companion! I shall have to ask him about the runes, but for now, I really need some rest!
---5. Inigo--- We've arrived in Riften at last! While renting a room at the nearest inn, the innkeeper said that she'd been asked to watch out for someone matching my description, then handed me a strange note asking to meet in Riften Jail... Weird. I'll look into it later, for now, I should meet with the court wizard and collect Master Drogolf's crystal. --- Terrible news! Wylandriah, Riften's court wizard, tells me that Drogolf's crystal has been stolen! I'd rather not return from my first real adventure having failed, so I'll try to find some clues as to who stole it, and where I might find them. Following up on the mysterious note from the inn seems as good a place to start as any. --- I met with the one who left the note, A Khajiit named Inigo. He seems to think he tried to murder me, which is why he turned himself in to the guards and has been wallowing in guilt ever since. I tried to tell him he was mistaken, but he wouldn't hear of it, and begged me to kill him. I refused, of course, but still, I couldn't find it in me to just leave the poor fellow to his despair, so I offered to let him join us in our travels, to make up for what he thinks he did. Kaidan didn't like it, but something tells me Inigo can be trusted. Time will tell if I'm right.
Unfortunately, he didn't know anything about the crystal. Back to square one.
---6. Lucien--- A priestess of Mara, Dinya, said she saw a shifty-looking man handing over something that "looked like a soul gem, but green" to a figure in a black cloak! From what Dinya overheard of their conversation, the cloaked person might be going to Falkreath! It's not much to go on, and I don't even know for sure if it's the right crystal, but it's all I have. Luckily, a merchant is leaving for Falkreath very soon, so we could hire on as guards and get to Falkreath quickly! --- We asked around at Falkreath's inn, but apparently, strangers clad in black are common here. No surprise, considering the famous graveyards in these parts. After a fruitless, day-long search, we took a room at the inn. The next morning, as we were having breakfast, we were approached by a pretty fancy-looking young man in even fancier clothes, who asked us if we could take him to Helgen. He wants to meet with my master, apparently. After finding out about my apprenticeship, he became very enthusiastic, and offered a large sum of gold to escort him there. Having no further clues, I suppose I'll have to return home empty-handed... hope the crystal wasn't too important.
---7. Black Wings--- Something horrible has happened! As we approached Helgen, we saw great plumes of smoke rising from the town, and then heard a terrible roar! And then, taking wing from within the walls, a massive beast with wings black as night! A Dragon! Helgen is ruined, burned to ash and razed by the might of the dragon. We couldn't find anyone left alive, and Master Drogolf's tower, the only home I've ever known, is nothing but rubble. We didn't even have time for a proper search, as the dragon flew off toward Riverwood. Inigo insists we must follow, to warn the townspeople of the danger, provided they haven't already been slaughtered too. As much as I would like to stay and mourn for my home, I knew he was right. --- We've each been dealing with the events at Helgen in our own way. Lucien has been borderline panicked ever since, and talks incessantly about anything and nothing to keep calm. Kaidan is even more silent and brooding than usual, and is constantly grasping his bow, watching the skies for any sign of the dragon. Inigo, bless him, has been trying to keep our spirits up with jokes and encouragement, but I can tell he's shaken up bad. And as for me, I alternate between grim determination and feeling like I'm a daze, like I'm only having a terrible nightmare.
---8. A favor for a Jarl--- Riverwood was, fortunately, not burned down. We continued on to Whiterun to warn the Jarl of the danger. Jarl Balgruuf seems a sensible man. When he heard our news about Helgen, he quickly commanded his Housecarl to send men to protect the other settlements in his hold. He also introduced us to his court wizard, a somewhat abrasive man named Farengar, who has been studying the history of dragons. He's asked us to delve into a ruin in the mountains above Riverwood, named Bleak Falls Barrow, in search of something called a Dragonstone, supposedly a map of ancient dragon burial sites. --- As people say, Bleak Falls Barrow is full of Draugr, undead monstrosities who patrol the halls and strike down intruders. Their eyes glowing in the dark chill my spine. What with that, and the destruction of Helgen, it'll be a miracle if I ever get a peaceful night's rest again! Unexpectedly, Inigo is also terrified of these undead, despite being an adventurer of great experience. Perhaps I'll ask him about it sometime. For now, we will continue into the dephts of the Barrow, to find the Dragonstone.
---9. The Word Wall--- We've found the Dragonstone! In a sealed tomb deep in the barrow, it rested in a sarcophagus with a powerful Draugr, perhaps their leader or something - if Draugr have any kind of hierarchy... Something weird happened when we approached the back of the tomb however. There's a wall with a bunch of ancient writing - a Word Wall, Kaidan called it. When I got closer, I heard strange chanting and saw some of writing glowing? And then it was as if the world went dark, save for that noise and light. When I came to, the Draugr had risen from it's sarcophagus and was fighting my friends! Fortunately, they slew it just as my eyes cleared, and they seem no worse for wear. I'm very confused about what happened to me, and the others are clearly concerned about it as well. Still, I feel fine for now, and we need to return the Dragonstone to Farengar. If I'm lucky, maybe he'll know something about the Word Wall too.
---10. Success Story--- We got the Dragonstone back to Whiterun, and were well rewarded. Farengar even promised to look into the incident at the Word Wall! I suppose I'll return to Dragonsreach and ask him about it later. For now though, Inigo's suggested we celebrate our success with a hot meal and a bottle of mead or two, so it's off to the Bannered Mare for that - and a good room for the night afterward! It feels like ages since I've slept in a warm bed! ---

Caesar and the MC should be Best Friends - Hear me out
This sounds really strange at first to hear. But the game did a terrible job of summarizing the story and showing the characters. The MC should be Best Friends with Caesar, check out why, below the cut.
Act One: The Premise (The MC will be referred to as Female because my character is female and I’m too lazy)
The MC has been trained to fight and use her abilities since she was a child. She’s been competing against others for the privilege of being the best as well. By the time she’s arrived at Cassell, she’s seen horrors that not even the Cassell Trio can boast of seeing.
Caesar in the meantime is planning his wedding. But Nono is AWOL. He’s getting no feedback from her and it leaves him just shooting in the dark for what ‘sounds cool’ For all of Caesar’s big talk, he realizes that he’s not really reaching Nono’s heart and he’s feeling a bit lost.
In the game: You save Nono in the game.
Why you would grow closer to Caesar: This is not easily reconcilable with the novel’s opening scenes, so if we stretch and pretend you arrive before Nono goes on her Walkabout, that would make one HECK of an impression on Caesar. He would have seen immediately that you are a step far above Luminous. Being a self-described ‘maniac’ he would not have been shy about approaching you and telling you you’re 10x what Luminous is.
Caesar is mischaracterized in the game to a great extent. While his misogynstic leanings and need to be ‘tHe LeADer’ is played up probably for laughs, he’s not that over the top. Here’s how he’s portrayed in the Novel.
Anjou put the two of them (Caesar and Chu Zihang) together and actually wanted them to sincerely cooperate? The move was similar to keeping lions and tigers in a cage, with Lu Mingfei stuffed between them like an innocent red panda. But Caesar decided to do his best, because this time he is the team leader. The success or failure of the task related to his honor, and for honor, he can bear anything. Along the way, he repeatedly warned himself to be generous, to have a leadership style, to be a corporal... Take Chu Zihang as a corporal to "victory", Caesar's heart is much more comfortable. This time he is immersed in the pink mood of preparing for the wedding, and he is feeling very charitable, even to Chu Zihang this serial killer looks more appealing.
There’s no way Caesar would ignore you as the MC. You would be of utmost interest to him. Far more interesting than Chu Zihang and Luminous. He takes responsibility for you as part of the team, he owes you one for Nono, and wants to see you succeed, probably more than anyone else there.
Act 2: Your arrival in Japan
The game skips the whole opening sequence introducing you to Chisei and Sakura. In the novel, those fancy Kimonos were given to you by Anjou and yes they all come with umbrellas. The whole scene is supposed to be funny. Chisei is mistaken for a tour guide, Lu Mingfei compliments Chisei’s Chinese in his own broken Japanese and fantasizes about cute maid cafes, Chu Zihang freaks Chisei out with his golden eyes by accident. So I imagine the MC stumbling and falling trying to walk in Geta.
But things get serious when the police show up and you realize that you’ve entered the country illegally and are now about to get arrested. The MC might voice that this make sense “Because I don’t have a passport or any identity. There was no way I’d ever get into the country.”
After Chisei loses the police, you’re taken to your rooms to stay for the night.
I wrote a little piece about this ‘here’
Why the MC and Caesar would grow closer: At the end of this scene, Caesar is completely isolated, drinking in his room and texting a silent Nono. This scene would change with you as the MC there. This would turn into an opportunity for you to bond. Perhaps you would notice him texting, talking about his love of Nono. You could touch on your past with him for the first time, or not, depending. He’d probably say something enthusiastically fiery and confidence building. He wants you to trust him and trust in yourself. For all his flaws, Caesar is very LIKEABLE and easy to understand. You don’t get into positions of power like his without some level of Charisma.
Act 3: The Mission Details
In the Game: This whole scene goes missing.
In the Novel: You take a whirlwind tour of Genji Heavy Industries. It’s an engineering marvel that is practically embedded in the central infrastructure of Tokyo (The building is seriously impossible and amazing but that’s for a nother post.).
You sit down with Masamune for tea. Immediately, something jumps out at Caesar.
“Are you Japanese?” Caesar gave Masamune Tachibana an examining look..
"I'm only half Japanese and the other half Russian." Tachibana said.
Caesar frowned, which made him think of the soviet icebreaker Lenin involuntarily.
"I've been in Japan for many years, and a lot of people don't see that I'm half Russian, Mr. Gattuso.” Tachibana said, inquiringly.
"Accents, your accents have Slavic characteristics, and you'll distinguish between hard and soft consonants, which are typical Russian pronunciations." Caesar said, "You're not just Of Russian Descent, You've Lived In Russia."
This is Lu Mingfei and Chu Zihang have no say in the matter since their two mother tongues are Chinese. But Caesar was aware when he heard the first words of Tachibana Masamune. He grew up as a different kind of man who could speak English, French and Spanish fluently in addition to Italian, and he could tell the language characteristics of every language spoken in Europe.
Even the wind demon villain Lang and yuan child in this seat are showing a surprised expression, it is clear that other owners do not know this matter.
Why this would bring you closer to Caesar: Not only would you pick up on the exact same thing, but he would speak with the same Russian accent as the MC. Languages are regional, Russia is a HUGE FREAKING COUNTRY. It would be no mistake that the Russian accent - Tachibana’s Russian accent - would match the MCs regional one.  Depending on how much your MC would have told Caesar, Caesar would have picked up a whole lot. Why you were awakened now, why you were sent on this mission... but that’s not even all!!
Later on, Chisei shows up after Tachibana leaves. He’s given you more information on the Lenin and why its sinking seems suspicious. But then he says this.
"Yes, the Lenin passed through the nameless port of northern Siberia, took a precious dragon embryo, and the port was destroyed in a fire. No one knows where the embryo is going to be shipped, the final destination may be Japan, or it may just pass by, but apparently it failed to reach its destination and the dragon embryo fell into the depths of the trench. Embryos have been hatching slowly over the years, but we haven't been aware of them. ”
Now depending on how much your MC might tell Caesar at this point he may or may not notice more parallels between the story of the Lenin and your story. You’re a hybrid, from Siberia who survived not just a fire but a bombs and getting shot. Heck imagine being the MC listening to this and realizing that this mission is intimately connected with you. In the game this happens way late, but in the novel it’s right at the start!
Why this would bring you closer to Caesar: At this point none of this would have been shared between any of the others. This is something only Caesar and you would know, shared knowlege that would likely mentally bond you two as allies.
The next scene is just more obvious bonding time. They all discuss likes and dislikes, their personal goals, dreams, loves, and ideals. The MC would still have Caesars favor but Caesar would fall more and more for Chisei’s charms. He’s bored and wants to see some ‘real gangster’ stuff. So Chisei obliges and takes Caesar to an operation between two rival gangs fighting over turf.
This would be the first time you’ve seen Caesar actually get serious for once intimidating some gangsters in a comic store. But after that’s all over, he immediately gets interested in the comics. This is very important to note that Caesar is rarely serious about anything. And if he is it doesn’t last long. He tells a long story about wanting a PS2, staying up all night to play Star Ocean when the housekeeper smashed his console. So he purchased 200 consoles, gave the housekeeper an axe and every time he smashed a console he replaced it immediately and kept playing. Finally, they let him play video games 2hours a day after his riding lessons.
This is important. Caesar is pushy and insistent and confident because he HAS to be to be himself and defy his family.  This is is something even Chu Zihang can respect and he makes up with Caesar after, realizing that Caesar’s way towards him wasn’t personal, good or bad, he’s always acting out towards his family.
With you, Lu Mingfei and Chu Zihang closer than ever, it’s time to actually go on the Mission.  So lets recap: Caesar the Leader has pulled the team together, taken you off on entertainment, on adventures, and now just now, on the way to the mission. cooked for everyone while speedreading the the instruction manual for the Lenin.
Why would this bring the MC closer to Caesar? Uh, maybe because he seems pretty freakin’ competent? Almost effortlessly so? As Chu Zihang so succintly puts it:  “Sometimes I admire Caesar. Whenever and wherever there are goals, he’s rarely afraid and never discouraged. In a group of people he will always be the one who inspires fighting spirit. People can choose how they live, Caesar is the kind of man who asks himself to live like a hero." The MC who has never felt so helpless in her life, could have easily been inspired by Caesar. That maybe she CAN get back to the Lenin, figure out who killed her friends and give him exactly what he deserves.

What If Bulma Got Her Wish!
This is a scene based on a What If discussion that I had on one of MasakoX's recent Gero and Frieza video. Basically, it goes Goku fires multiple Kamehamehas instead of just one as Bulma and or Yamcha instructs, which gets the gang out a bit sooner than the early series. They all go to stop Pilaf before he can summon the Dragon, but Goku catches a glimpse of the full moon and transforms into a Great Ape, which pretty much plays out as the same with Goku getting his tail cut off and Pilaf's castle destroyed, but the difference here is that Bulma now gets to make her wish for Prince Charming to come and sweep her off her feet, but Shenron concludes that her perfect boyfriend would be the one she will eventually end up with and so forth summons a bewildered Teenage Vegeta, but because of the wording she used he is summoned in his royal garbs, black Saiyan armor, with jewelry, and a bright red cape, not exactly the type of 'prince' she was imagining, but she'll roll with it since he's cute. The problem with this is that it means Vegeta doesn't have his scouter, meaning that he is completely stranded on a backwater planet he has never even heard of with no means of contacting anyone to pick him up.  Vegeta wants off this planet as soon as possible and doesn't want to wait a year for the Dragon Balls so Bulma in full flirty fashion, offers her Family's resources and her brilliant mind to the task, Vegeta is all business and ignoring her advances, at least she'll prove useless due to Earth's low tech, then she'll be rejected at every turn in very cruel fashion. Until that point Vegeta is going to just play things smart and not kill everyone in sight out of anger. Yamcha, Puar and Oolong go with them like the original, but this time Yamcha isn't Bulma's boyfriend, but simply the guy that Vegeta is somewhat willing to talk and somewhat listen to as he is judged to being the top brass of the rag tag group of adventurers that foolishly summoned him. Goku still goes to Master Roshi's island and everyone will still meet at the tournament.  Vegeta concludes that he'll just have to wait a year and isolates himself from everyone else as they prove to be useless to him. He just decides this will just be an unexpected vacation from the Frieza Force. Bulma gets fed up with him and rebounds onto Yamcha, at least for now. It doesn't take long for Vegeta to start scheming after realizing the unique opportunity that just fell into his lap of getting any wish he could possibly want with his only competition being the weak natives.
The gang invites Vegeta to the World Martial Arts Tournament, but he shows next to no interest, but on a whim, he decides to check it out as a means to take a break from his thoughts on conquest. He's not expecting much, but Saiyans still love fighting. He is late because he was told he has to wear street clothes and somewhat blend in if he wanted to come and so he arrives during Goku's first match, where his tail grows back. Sending his mind racing! He figures out that Goku must be some no-name low level that got lucky getting off the planet and since then has been so weak that had been corrupted by the Earthling's useless sentiments and ideologies, blah blah blah, but as he continues to watch the fight he quits thinking about classes and intergalactic politics because of just how Goku is simply having the time of his life in these fights, he really is a Saiyan after all and as young as he is, it might not be too late to 'save him' he could one day even prove useful to Vegeta, but it would take a lot of work. (but that is for the RR Saga where Vegeta will start indirectly testing Goku as his Saiyan Prince by manipulating the RR army however he sees fit as both sides collect HIS Dragon Balls for him.)
Tumblr media
This is a picture of Vegeta attempting to reveal Goku's Saiyan origins after the tournament ended, but it was just way too much for Goku to possibly comprehend so Vegeta just reveals that the belt around his waist is in actuality a tail just like Goku's which catches his attention, but before Vegeta can continue his talk Goku's tail has grabbed hold of Vegeta's and he is just swinging around upside down on it. Vegeta's response is his usual scowl and crossed arms, but Vegeta opens one eye and since Goku back is facing him, for the first time in the series does that face make a soft expression at the boy having more fun than he should. He gives up on talking to Goku for now and to just enjoy the brief moment while it lasts. (casual reminder, Vegeta here is still evil, but he is not made of stone yet as he is still only a teenager and not a hardened adult, like he is when first introduced) All in all, Goku's simple and overall fun/ easygoing nature is both a bane to Vegeta, but refreshing at the same time.
Side note: Vegeta's philosophy will be in direct opposition and conflict to Master Roshi's philosophy of Martial Arts. So how will this influence the Dragon Team, especially Goku? Vegeta might believe he is unsusceptible to Earth's ways, but Goku and the others have a way of rubbing off on others. I think Roshi would take a keen interest in Vegeta, not just because of how powerful and twisted he is, but by how young he is, seeing him as someone who has been misguided like Tien.
