Oh man I have to choose a favorite?? Lol! I love how he gets protective of MC. That moment when he confronts Belphie, yes, but also the time he went out looking for MC when they were doing the Cerberus thing with the bros. Solomon runs into Lucifer and basically gives him this whole shpeal about how great MC is when Lucifer suggests they’re more trouble for Sol than they’re worth.

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

Okay this is kind of a Solomon and Barbatos headcanon, but I like to think it’s Solomon’s pact with Barbatos that makes him immortal. I just think that would be more interesting than he messed up a potion one day and accidentally made himself immortal. Like I dunno I think Sol is too smart for that!

I also like to think that sometimes when Solomon has been up all night doing some research that when he finally goes to bed he has a hard time falling asleep. Like he forces himself to get in bed because he knows he needs to sleep but his mind is still running through whatever he was working on. Eventually it becomes pointless so he gets up again and goes back to work. But when he lives with MC, he goes and checks on them instead. And if he crawls into bed with them, he falls asleep almost instantly. Because MC’s sleeping presence quiets his mind.

~Geto Suguru~

•He’s got his family, which you’re of course a part of too, but you’re also a bit different from the others

•You’re his best friend, and he has a different kind of relationship to you than anyone else in his inner circle

•He knows you can handle yourself in a fight, but if you were to need his help, he most likely has a few curses watching you in case something happens

•It’s a habit of his, and he does it to everyone in his family, he wants to look out for all of you

•Anyway, Geto doesn’t exactly get many days off, being a cult leader is a 24/7 kind of job so a lot of your time together is spent at his office and the cult headquarters in general

•Geto isn’t exactly a jokester, but he does have a good sense of humor and it’s compatible with yours

•He can also sometimes be quite nostalgic, so while you don’t know Gojo Satoru personally, you certainly know him by reputation and from what Geto has told you, which is a lot

•You let him talk about pretty much whatever he wants to and he extends the same courtesy to you

•No matter what your problem, Geto is there to listen even if he doesn’t always have an answer or a solution for you

•What he’s guaranteed to have are some dry humor comments and an eye roll, but he reserves those for the appropriate moments

•Sometimes when you’re upset or super tired you just sit next to Geto and just lean your head on his shoulder while he works and every now and then you even fall asleep

•He’s doesn’t mind, because it also happens to him from time to time

•You’re also a jujutsu sorcerer too, but he’s still pretty protective of you and tends to check in on you a lot during your missions

•Your missions are of course suited to your skill level, but Gojo still worries, he’s seen what can happen when a mission goes off the rails

•Anyway he loves to buy you gifts, little knick knacks and sweets, and all kinds of dumb stuff he comes across

•He also loves to gossip, so the phone calls you have tend to be very long

•Gojo will always pick up your calls, even if it’s in the middle of a mission or in the middle of the night

•When you’re chilling together, you like to watch movies or play something, be it cards or a video game 

•Gojo has incredibly bad luck with Uno though, he never seems to win and he’s a bit of a sore loser

•It’s still a lot of fun though, especially listening to all his “Oh come on”s and “What the hell?”s that he whispers under his breath

•You and Gojo tend to call each other the stupidest nicknames, like you call him “a moomin” because of his white hair or “eight eyes” because he’s got the six eyes and the glasses so it makes eight

•Even though you’re not a couple, Gojo is still pretty affectionate, he is a pretty touchy person after all

this got long sorry lol i started to ramble

LAST NAME - what started this all and what i hope others picked up on was gojo calling geto by his last name, not his first: geto. even after everything geto did during jjk v0, gojo still calls geto 'suguru.' he's still 'suguru' to him. i wanted a scenario in which gojo would reject his first name - reject their past and their relationship. this whole comic idea sprung out of being unsatisfied with geto and gojo's canon relationship. personally, im not the happiest with how things were written in the story and feel like the author could've done some things differently. this isn't to say i don't like or enjoy what the author has written either. i just have mixed feelings.

KENJAKU - in case it wasn't clear, the door closing on page 14 depicts geto with stitches on his forehead - aka kenjaku. what that page is trying to convey is that the moment geto killed yuuta, the future where geto's body is used to box gojo ceased to exist. in this au, kenjaku's plan that we see in the canon timeline would never and will never work. by killing yuuta, geto crossed a line and permanently severed his relationship with gojo. if gojo wins here, gojo will dispose of the body properly. the panel after shows a closed door with the memory of who suguru was. the person who suguru used to be and the best years of gojo's life etc etc. but "broken" bc it's gojo truly realizing that's not who geto is anymore + the whole "severing relationship" thing. does this make sense.

what happens after the comic ends is up to interpretation though

GETO'S PLAN - i didnt focus a lot on the specifics of how this could've happened considering geto's plan changed in this au. how it happened isnt really important, you can come up with whatever you want. what i wanted to focus on, and what i hope people managed to pick up on is the situation itself - geto killing yuuta. sorry yuuta. i'll make it up to you.

i ended it here because it felt the best place, but here's some scrapped dialogue of a few seconds after: GETO: "… It was a necessary sacrifice, Sato-" GOJO: "don't you dare call me that" basically to emphasize the first name vs last name situation

GOJO N GETO - ive always felt uhhh. nitpicky, i guess. about the specifics of everything regarding gojo and geto. ive felt unsatisfied for a variety of reasons, and this was basically an idea that sprung out (a looong time ago) of a want for gojo to be angry at and feel more.. negative emotions, i guess, toward geto. i still do genuinely enjoy their canon relationship a lot tho. i enjoy the way they’re written together and individually, i just have different/multiple feelings about the same thing :)

RIKO AND YUUTA - erm there was a scrapped panel... you can find it on my blog if you're really curious but there was a panel of geto 'remembering' riko's dead body (a distorted memory, because the blood reflects yuuta's injuries). it's not necessarily that riko and yuuta are similar, it's that geto becomes a bit like toji in the end. just like toji, geto tries to kill a young teenager for the sake of his own goals. while toji's was selfish and geto's, in his own eyes, was for the greater good, there's still the similarity of killing a child. of stealing their future for their own goals. plus the fact that gojo killed both of them in a similar way.

TRUST - yeah i know the quote is in the context of the 2nd years fighting geto. still. gojo trusted geto to a large degree, despite everything he did. so. it's going here.

PG 4-6 - geto values and cares about sorcerers so so much. again, he was fine with trying to kill yuuta for his vision and all but i dont think he wouldn't feel some level of. conflicting emotions i guess. (i am very against the idea that geto wasn't... trying to kill yuuta? i don't really get that perspective at all. it'd make all of that meaningless imo. but this isn’t about that.) ok im done.

Delicious in Deltarune AU ramble !! Long post !!!!

(Ft Chimaera Hippogriff Dess doodles done in whiteboard)

Noelle, Kris and Susie end up retreating after getting to a lower level of the dark dungeon and encountering a darkner creature too difficult for them. They get separated from Dess, whom to their knowledge was severely injured before they got teleported by Noelle to the surface. After they recuperate and go on their way down again, they encounter Ralsei and Lancer, who join their party and help them along their journey.

Instead of monsters in the dungeon, it's darkners. Characters aren't specifically placed into dunmeshi character roles, but more so put into the world of dunmeshi. Deltarune's world and rules get adapted/intertwined with dunmeshi's. More info under the cut!

Kris - the leader. human knight with significant knowledge on darkners, can't use magic very well. Came from a family of royals. Their brother Asriel is a renowned knight.

Noelle - deer mage, specializing in healing + ice magic, beginning to get the hand of offensive magic. Comes from a rich family and went to magic school with Kris and Dess.

Susie - the party's tank, and 2nd magic user; a well known reptilian fighter among adventurers. Came from a poor family that she has since left behind.

Dess - the party's former leader, a deer mage with expertise in fire/light magic, but she can't use healing magic very well.

Ralsei - a royal mage with healing magic, main cook for the party. He's secretive about his past

Lancer - a runaway prince; he scouts out the environment/landscape for the party

Other characters/misc

Sans and Papyrus are searching for their missing sorcerer relative, who went mysteriously missing along with his party of 4

Berdly reluctantly joins mage Catti and fighter Jockington's party of two after realizing he can't venture through the dungeon alone. They don't want to admit that he's slowing them down however. When Kris' party find them, they’re facing off Queen and her minions.

I'm thinking some of the 'monsters' Kris' party could encounter would be different darkner bosses (I really wanna make them face off beast Spamton)

The layout/floors of the dungeon could be based on different dark worlds ??

Still figuring that out along with the dungeon's legend/prophecy (rn I'm thinking it involves a bit of the monster and human in the opening of undertale and a bit of the delta rune prophecy)

Playthrough Updates!

Just some rambles about my recent playthroughs...

Solenia the Drow Cleric of Elistraee

Finally found her hair that I'm satisfied with!!! And sorry Efenity, I know I always put you in this dress, but it's Sol's now 🤩 she rocks it so well!

She saved the grove and flirted with Gale and Halsin. I should note, this was my first time since my very first playthrough that I saved the grove and for a minute there I had no idea what to do or where you're supposed to go after the fight 🤣 if you side with minty and the gobos, it just cuts right to the party after it's all over.

She is currently in the Underdark and is reminded why people dislike her underground kin so much.

I made her to be paired with Gale but hooonestly...Halsin might be the play. We'll just have to see 👀

Enyana the Dryad (Wood Elf Druid)

Surprise! New Tav. Enyana (yes, name after Enya lol) is a dryad who's very far from home. Too far. She keeps a part of her tree with her, on her body, but she never intended to be so far away from home after getting kidnapped and crash landing in the mindflayer ship.

Enyana is a sassy but very kind person who believes in sticking up for yourself and not letting others take advantage of you. She didn't let Astarion drink her blood and I have never seen him so sad!!! 😭😭 But oh well lmao she refused to let him take advantage of her vulnerability like that.

I didn't make her to romance anyone in particular, but thought perhaps she would go for Halsin....turns out she seems to like Gale a lot more 🤣

Efenity the Storm Sorcerer (canon run #3000 lmao)

Nothing crazy going on in this run...it's just my "usual" run for her. It's like the 6th time I've played as her and H O P E F U L L Y this time I will finish the game and actually get to see the epilogue with her and AA!!!😩👌🏽

She's getting there! Currently in the Underdark as well, just working on the Myconid quests. Next one is the Nere quest.

I also have her a new do for the funsies. I really like it on her! I also got this mod that really makes all the eyes "pop" and glow. That's why her orange eye looks so glowy!

Nordicai the Tiefling Rogue (Durge!!!)

BABY'S FIRST DURGE!!!!

I took a really long time to make one but I finally did 😌 Meet Nordicai! He's a meph tiefling and an arcane trickster rogue!

So my whole concept is ...I wanted him to be as edgy and intimidating and BAMF looking as possible, like the kind of dude you don't bring to the family dinner, because he's... a resist Durge who's super docile and sweet and has no idea what's going on most of the time 🤣 I was amused by the concept of that contrast.

Also didn't make him with any specific romance in mind but it seems he is leaning toward Shadowheart 👀 never romanced her before so we'll see how that goes.

hi!! 💖 i only started the game a few days ago and it was an impulse decision i made after having previously told a friend of mine that i definitely wanted to play it but that it'd probably take me a while to get around to it (and, because i thought i wouldn't play anytime soon i hadn't really been trying to avoid spoilers). but, i have the PC version and while it generally runs just fine, my computer is kind of slow and the game is so big that it took hours to download and install. so i kind of went ahead and started to come up with a whole character idea during that time LOL. sorry if my explanations of things get a bit too rambly/disorganized. i'm actually not very far in the game at all yet, i've been spending a ton of time doing stuff in the druids grove and i'm supposed to go find halsin but i haven't even gotten karlach in my party yet! i've recruited all the main companions except for her but i am excited to meet her. gonna put the rest of this under a cut for length.

my only background with DND is that i listened to the first campaign of the adventure zone and i've watched the legends of vox machina show. i also have a friend who's super into her own DND campaign and another friend who's told me a lot about dimension 20, specifically fantasy high--and i've considered trying it out for her but haven't gotten around to it yet! i think she actually told me the same thing about the episode lengths making it easier to get into than critical role, because i had tried critical role and it was just so long that i couldn't stick with it. but, yeah, i've also looked at the forgotten realms wiki a bit but i've never actually played DND. i have played skyrim and final fantasy 14 and some other similar RPGs with customizable blank-slate protagonists, and in those types of games i always have to make OCs to roleplay as--usually i'll think up a basic idea to start with and then flesh the character out as i get into the game. they're never really self-inserts but i do often project onto them a little.

so, in games like these my first character is usually an elf that specializes in elemental/destructive magic. idk why, that's just what i've always liked. in ff14 i started out as a black mage without knowing it was the hardest class to play LMAO. soooo i went into this planning to create a high elf sorcerer, but as i started writing out ideas and thinking about what to do, i ended up creating a half-high elf bard. they're transmasc/nonbinary and in my head they use he/they pronouns, but i picked the nb option in the character creator and that causes npcs to actually use they/them in dialogue which i think is so cool. i love that the character creator is so inclusive in regards to gender.

anyway, i named them elenion, which is something i took from the lord of the rings universe because i'm a huge nerd. in LOTR it's an elvish word that basically means "of the stars". here's a couple screenshots i took when i first started. let's just ignore the fact that this hairstyle clips into elf ears (and also that the face preset is from a mod i downloaded).

i didn't really give him a tragic backstory or even the most interesting story haha--i'm wanting to do something bigger and angstier with another character on a second playthrough when i'm more familiar with the lore and world of the game. and i'll probably also end up changing or expanding on some things about this character later, but for now i just kind of made a normal guy with normal problems. i had this idea that his father, a human who attracted the attention of a beautiful elf woman, was also a bard and was a very successful musician in his youth. so elenion has always shared his father's passion and dreamed of being like him, being able to effortlessly tell incredible tales and inspire crowds of people through song, but no matter how much he studies and practices he never feels good enough. if he seems confident it's usually just because he's gotten really good at faking it. he's also pretty reserved and often avoids having to talk about himself by asking a lot of questions. see, i kind of wanted to specifically find a way to not roleplay the usual sort of loud, flirty, goofy bard, lol. not that i dislike those kinds of characters or anything though!

however, bards are meant to be super charismatic, witty, and persuasive and of course the game strongly encourages that with the dialogue options and skill bonuses you get. so my way of explaining this is to have elenion be a bit like raine from the owl house, in that they may be shy, but they're very firm in their ideals and are no pushover when it comes to protecting themself or their allies. they're clever and have a snarky side to them, and they're genuinely friendly and caring in a way that gives them a sense of quiet charisma. which reminds me that one of the spells i gave them at the start was sleep, and it's made me imagine that when they were a kid they tried calming a crying baby by playing a lullaby on their lute and accidentally ended up casting their first spell.

oh, and, i also wasn't really sure at first where in the world i wanted elenion to come from but i decided on something pretty quickly after getting multiple of those dialogue options suggesting that the protagonist is baldurian! i pictured them growing up in a somewhat small town with their family but moving to baldur's gate as an adult, hoping that if they left the comfort of their home and started to journey out into the world a little they'd eventually find their spark and become the bard they wanted to be. unfortunately they've had little luck so far because even after all this time they can't see that maybe their whole fixation on trying to be just like their father and achieve the exact same kind of success that he had is holding them back. the fact that their father died the year after they moved away hasn't helped either. and now, in the middle of traveling to a historical site that they'd wanted to see in person and use as inspiration for a song, they've been abducted by mindflayers and are struggling with the massive upheaval that this has brought into their relatively mundane life.

so. yeah. my tav for this first playthrough may not be the most unique or exciting character but i like him! i like figuring out what kind of choices he'll make and thinking up new ideas for what he likes and how he sees the world. also, i find it funny how in your reply to my ask you said you thought you'd be into gale but then you fell for astarion--because i thought that i'd be all over the edgy, brooding, snarky vampire man, but it turns out gale is so charming and funny that i'm probably going to romance him first. i'm also pretty intrigued by shadowheart and wyll but i'm so early in the game that i can't even say who i think my overall favorite companion will be because they all seem so interesting!! even karlach despite the fact that i haven't actually met her yet, i've seen a bunch of cool gifsets of her and my brother told me he's been romancing her on his playthrough. i really need to go find her soon.

i'm sure you can tell from everything i wrote here that i am definitely enjoying the game LOL. i can already tell that there's just so many different things to do and see, that i will both need and want to do a lot of different playthroughs and that it's going to be something that sticks with me. nothing wrong with using guides and walkthroughs btw! i do it too because i'm worried about missing too many things and have the world's worst sense of direction even with a minimap. honestly i probably need to look up some guides for certain mechanics that i don't feel like i've really figured out yet. there's a sarcophagus trap in the ruins early in the game that got me SO stuck and got my whole party wiped and then i looked up a video and found out you could turn off the whole trap system by pushing a switch... i felt so stupid askjdfgf.

Paquette la Chantefleurie and Rollo Flamme similarities rambling

I just finished reading Notre dame de paris yesterday in just 4 days because I was too into it and I noticed how Rollo's backstory, character, personality is really leaning more into the characters in the novel (esp. Frollo in this case) more than the Dsney adaptation and here's my incoherent lowkey short rambling below about Paquette or Sister Gudule and Rollo. Obviously, this has spoilers for the novel so if you don't mind that then feel free to read.

Who is Paquette La Chantefleurie?

Paquette or Sister Gudule as known by others is Agnes or Esmeralda's biological mother. After the Romani kidnapped Agnes as a baby (which they replaced her with baby Quasimodo), the people believed that they cannibalized baby Agnes which lead to Gudule believing that she was dead and thus creating this hatred towards those people not knowing that her beloved Agnes is growing to be one of them (which she also showed hatred towards Esmeralda too when she first met her.) Anyways she has a tragic end which I won't dive into much.

Rollo and Gudule? What's the similarities?

After Agnes's disappearance, Gudule lived a life of seclusion (hmmmm.....) and holds great disdain towards the Romani. Familiar? While Rollo's hatred towards magic users might look like how Disney Frollo's hatred towards the Romani stems from, I feel like if we base it on the novel, it all stems down towards Gudule more than Frollo (cuz Novel Frollo is so into alchemy that people believe he's a sorcerer lol and he's really just a solely Esmeralda hater rrrr. He never looked at them the same extreme ways as Disney does and Novel Frollo's actually very tragic in the novel... rip.)

So how are they similar then? As I thought a lot lately, Rollo's hatred for magic only stemmed when magic took his brother the same way the Romani took Gudule's only beloved daughter. Rollo then grew up to be the thing he despises (being a magic user) and Esmeralda grew up to be the someone that Gudule despises. Rollo's hatred isn't because he's straight up evil like Disney Frollo is, but because there was an even deeper reason like Sister Gudule. (It's so hard to put it into words but that's it. That's ittt!)

Now it finally stems down to this. Rollo's brother, while surely base on Novel Frollo's brother, Jehan, obviously does not take his rebellious personality. In fact, base on Rollo's flashbacks of him, he cares alot about Rollo and really shows him magic because... well, Rollo enjoys it too... even with minimal description I feel like Rollo's brother, if Rollo = Sister Gudule would be Esmeralda/Agnes.

Also I'd love to note how we know how twst characters aren't particularly always base solely on their counterparts, Rollo also has Esmeralda's features (green eyes), the goats being drawn to him and all (lol), and if he were to choose goats over anything else i'd even say he'd have Pierre Gringoire's silliness.

I swear to god Novel Frollo >>> Disney Frollo in terms of who Rollo is. Understandable since Yana base a lot on the musical which leans more into the Novel. Hjihsjssjd gosh when Jehan died in the novel tho, that's where Frollo really snapped and went, "fuck this I've got nothing to lose anymore." So yeah

someone has been absolutely FEEDING the tetsudoku tag on AO3 in the year of our lord 2024 I wish 10 years ago me obsessed with them could see it now lol

I’ve been wanting to write a fic about them for several years now but never got around to it being the Person That I Am so I’ll just dump my ideas here

-during the events of dorohedoro tetsujo feels like a burden to dokuga and wants nothing more than to do good for him and get him to look his way at least once but bc dokuga is carrying the weight of their boss’s secret he never really thinks of tetsujo more than a friend/comrade/family, always thinking of their next step, how to survive, etc

-post canon dokuga has had the immense pressure valve released and while he was injured started to really SEE tetsujo while they just tried to survive, brave, kind, strong, handsome, reliable tetsujo, even after getting taken in by the hungry bug he begins to feel like a burden to tetsujo, who is so kind and hardworking and liked by everyone around him and dokuga can’t even do much for him or those around them because of his poison saliva, he feels like tetsujo would be much happier if he didn’t have to put up with him

-extra dokuga angst second guessing his decision to hide kai’s true nature all those years now that he isn’t in contstant survival mode

-fujita is a regular at the hungry bug and is best bros with tetsujo and bond over drinks, fujita doesn’t shut up about ebisu and tetsujo talks non-stop about dokuga, fujita finds his lovesick rambles annoying and practically sickening but doesn’t mind because he’s just as annoying about his little sister though his rambling tends more toward the complaint side

-kaiman and dokuga form this really weird friendship/mentorship or something, kaiman is the only one immune to dokuga’s poison (bc its caused by sorcerer smoke) and his special lizard daddy words of wisdom slowly restore some confidence in dokuga

-dokuga begins to distance himself from tetsujo out of guilt

-big climax is dokuga and fujita somehow end up drinking together and dokuga pours his heart out about feeling like a burden to tetsujo and fujita gets absolutely pissed “how DARE you” type beat because tetsujo ADORES him and has only eyes for HIM and dokuga is so shocked and relieved and feels like he’s going to lose his mind

-he runs out into the rain to look for tetsujo and when dokuga finally finds him he’s so frazzled and soaking wet and not making any sense, all dokuga can do is sob and shout out too tetsujo, me too, I’m sorry, thank you for loving me until he’s hoarse and tetsujo is so concerned and confused but just hugs him tighter than he’s ever held anything before

-they take a warm bath and tetsujo dries him off with a fluffly towel and dokuga lets himself be held and taken care of, lots of eye scar kisses from dokuga, tetsujo loves rubbing his long, bare legs and kissing his thighs and tummy and kissing his forehead, no sex just gentle sweetness, maybe tetsujo gives him a bl*wjob but it’s more loving and reverent than horny

-dokuga going limp like a cat and accepting all the affection because he’s finally exhausted himself and is so emotionally strung-out

JJK vol 8: in which we go back to the past!

Though first we have Itadori recognizing the girl from his school even though she looked completely different 😭 what a good kid

But then we're hit with the Gojo and Geto backstory. This beginning part is all well and good.

I was like I'm not gonna include the epic entrance that's silly but then I saw Geto's and I was like... okay.

We got Mr Annoying on one side and Mr Cool As Fuck on the other side. Like how am I supposed to deal with these two fools huh? It's bad enough having Gojo in the current time with Itadori & co while Geto only shows up occasionally to be a villain. But when they're like this? Going around and working together but still having that tension and omg it's no wonder I freakin' ship these two.

SEE. And then there's THIS iconic moment! I swear I've seen the anime gifs of this part so many times but of course because LOOK AT THEM. And it's so interesting to read the manga now because it just kinda locks in the story for me, you know? Just before this, Geto is telling Gojo that jujutsu sorcerers exist to protect non-jujutsu users. And you know what happens later, but it's still so interesting for him to say that.

I just really like the way these characters grow. It isn't just fighting because it's cool (though there is some of that), they all have really fascinating character arcs to go along with their phenomenal cosmic powers. Don't get me wrong, Gege Akutami is an absolute plague but he's a good writer.

Three panels I particularly enjoyed. I love Riko. Someone needs to tell Gojo what a simpleton he is. Because look at him taking his glasses off at the request of a gaggle of middle schoolers like c'mon man. He infuriates me, but at least when he's older he's more tolerable. He was way worse in high school. But I'll cut him some slack 'cause most teenagers are terrible in my experience. And then OH yeah Kuroi just clocking that guy in the nuts with a mop. What a badass.

Anyway, a lot happened in this volume and I was loving all of it. It's honestly hard not to take pictures of like every page adlkdfj. I never meant to even start doing that but I was like okay but this part!!! lol.

And of course I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Toji being himself... and then that part at the very end where he's got that sword in Gojo's gut and he's just like it's cool I don't always remember names either. I mean. Damn.

We also had Todo and Mei Mei recommending all the kids to be grade 1 sorcerers and then playing table tennis about it later. I just think it's so funny the way this story has this juxtaposition of like completely bonkers things like curses and epic showdowns right next to totally mundane things like a game of ping pong and seeing a girl from your old school. I don't know how intentional that is, but it feels like a way to illustrate that these characters are still just people... even if they can kick ass and use cursed techniques.

One last thing because this kinda took my breath away:

Just. Wow.

Anyway, okay, you can tell I didn't write this post on my phone because I rambled a lot about story and what not lol!

itadori yuji: unwavering humanity

sorry this is mostly rambling tbh i just need to get this STUFF out of my system !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ive had this in my drafts for over a MONTH now so i just need it OUT

from the beginning of jjk, itadori wants to help ppl by allowing them to die a "proper death". during his time as a sorcerer, however, and particulary after (his first time lol) dying in the reform school, he realized how weak he was & how much he wasnt even in control of his own death. the curses were. sukuna was. and itadori learnt what it felt to be scared of his own helplessness.

but still, bc hes itadori yuji (a very stubborn guy who keep moving forward no matter what, without thinking, without an ounce of self-preservation), he still mantained this goal of helping ppl. this time, however, understanding that in order to do so, he has to (in typical shounen fashion) get stronger.

in the next arc, itadori meets junpei and mahito. we learn that junpei is a nice kid, but as we know, after much pain and sorrow plus mahito's manipulation and corruption, he ends up trying to kill his classmates. itadori once again faces the fact that there's a lot of evil in this world. there's people he can't save, things he can't fix. even more importantly, if it's about curses as evil as mahito, he wants to kill (itadori and mahito's enmity is really prolongued and interesting in general, constantly making each other evolve).

a bit later, he and kugisaki kill two death wombs (who they believe are curses at first) and after that he learns (from sukuna who just needs to make him suffer more, as a little treat <3) that it's bc he ate sukuna's finger that many spirits are awakening and causing ppl to die. he doesn't exactly regret his actions, but it all weights on him, painfully so.

on his way to save as many ppl as possible, itadori has become stronger, but he's also killed.

then comes shibuya (ha.....)

after losing people so close to him, allowing sukuna to end so many lives and being made fun of by sukuna and mahito for being so naive and (again) so weak, itadori almost gave up his goal. it's thanks to todo's ted talk that he got up again (as he always does).

itadori thru this arc learns to see himself not as a hero but as a cog in a machine. he's only human, after all: an individual (a weak one at that), but also part of something way bigger. his values, beliefs and desires are itadori's: born from his temperament and upbringing. individual. but the fact that he is human shapes him, the same way being a curse shapes mahito.

itadori finally understands that caring about people it's in his nature because he is human, but also that the why doesnt matter. and so, to save people, he'll kill mahito like it's also second nature to him.

(is he fine with it? does he want to? thats not relevant anymore. he's only following his nature, moving in automatic-mode. like a predator when he sees prey. not evil, not selfish. just doing what he needs to, what he's made for).

after shibuya itadori changes. he's still him, but the way he kills curses and tackles his job as a sorcerer it's almost machine-like. it's kinda eerie. we know he's not a machine, obviously. by this point we know itadori well: his immense suffering caused by other's peoples deaths and pain, we see his scars. he's still very much human, and still very much itadori.

more than ever before he wants to help people.

the thing is... despite what he said to mahito about saving people "for no reason, just like mahito kills and makes people suffer for no reason", itadori's desire to help people says a lot about him.

from the very beginning this desire has profoundly affected the way he interacts with other people and also the way he views himself. he's only worthy and valuable when he's able to save people. it gives him a role to play, a reason to live, a way to connect with others.

(it always has: in one of the first chs (i think ch 3 in the manga?), when confronted with the reason for becoming a sorcerer, he finally admits that he wanted something only he could do. that's even why he joined the occult club (which was bound to shut down without him) but not the sports clubs even when he was clearly gifted for any sport he could play. yes, it was also bc he wanted to visit his grandpa at the hospital, but itadori wanted to be needed. to serve others).

even when it's hard, when he doesn't want to, when the price is so high...

for itadori it's not only an instinct, it's a choice.

and then the culling games happen... and sukuna takes megumi's body.

megumi's itadori's friend, itadori cares about him. and megumi saved him. and he is taken by sukuna bc of itadori's fault. bc of the vow he and sukuna made that itadori cant even remember.

itadori's no longer sukuna's vessel now, so his initial purpose of retrieving sukuna's fingers so he can be killed along him is over. by this point he's long realized not only that he can't save every single person, but that he cant avoid killing and hurting other ppl, can't control his own death, can't even protect people who are close and important to him. he's weak, he's "bad". guilty. but it's not like before; itadori doesn't want to absolve his sins, that's not why he does what he does.

itadori's only goal remains unchanged: to save megumi and fucking KILL sukuna once and for all. it's literally his life purpose; once a wish given by his grandfather, then a duty imposed by the jujutsu society. now, it's itadori's own will. he despises sukuna. it's absolutely personal.

more than ever, his capability to help and save other people gives him a purpose, a reason to live and keep moving forward. its what keeps him grounded and himself. what makes him so human, despite all the pain and all the evil, despite all of the powerful curses and curse users around him who thrive on hurting and taking. no matter how many times he's beaten to the ground, he gets up again, his ideal never faltering. he'll always care about and do his best to protect people.

this is the reason why sukuna cant really figure him out. why he says over and over again thru the series that itadori's boring and weak. sukuna was human once, a sorcerer as well, but the thing is... he was strong. insanely so. and the way sees it, being strong is everything, not a plus, but a must. being weak is equivalent to death, so helping the weak is pointless. being already at the top of the food chain, sukuna's only moved by and interested in power and strenght, and so, he doesnt really get itadori. he sees him as -basically- a pathetic insect, which is, funnily, part of the reason why he hasnt killed him yet (the other part of the reason is, as ive said, that itadori is tough as nails).

& maybe it sounds kinda cheesy but i do truly think that all of what i just said is the reason why itadori just might win. he literally represents the compassion and resilience of humans, even against pure evil. this unwavering humanity and love for other people, even when it's painful and hard, is what makes him so strong, in a way sukuna doesnt understand. this is why people love itadori yuji.

I'M ALIVE (BARELY) !! Work is kicking my ass. Also, lots of things went wrong for me this morning, but they all worked out in the end ?? Like I forgot to set my alarm, had to bring my mom's phone to her job bc she forgot it, my bus ended up running late because the doors would get stuck at stops. But I woke up on time, caught the bus after taking the phone, and made it early to work because the bus forgot to take the detour? My luck is insane (thanks Mammon.)

ANYWAY, i can no longer contain my thoughts about Mammon x Solomon x Mc. I'm just imagining my mc and Solomon who are both very curious, and love messing around with potions at purgatory hall, and finding alternatives to rare ingredients. This has definitely gone wrong a bunch of times (most days without a potion incident: 4)

and I'm imagining Mammon tagging along bc he misses mc and is jealous that Sol is taking up their time, but denies all claims - "I'm assigned to protect ya, ain't I?" "From Solomon?" "W-Well, he's a shady sorcerer!"

He sits on the floor by mc's feet, and will fetch them things because he can't say no to them. But he spends so much time listening to them brainstorm, he starts learning and will chime in randomly. Mc and Sol who are stuck on what to add, Mammon drops something in there, and they're both horrified until they realize the potion is perfect now. He just has a little database in his mind of what to add to something, and rare ingredients that the two wish they could get their hands on.

Thinking about Mammon doing a favor for a witch and she tells him to pick anything in her collection since she's low on money. He was about to be angry when he saw an ingredient that they've both been complaining is rare and hard to find. He asks the witch for that and then brings it to the two. He acts all nonchalant about it, trying to brush it off. Mc tackles him, meanwhile Solomon is in awe and staring with a twinkle in his eye.

Now Mammon starts requesting trades with witches, for a lower portion of grimm. Gets ingredients he knows they dream about, because the way mc and sol will get all giddy after he presents them with his earnings makes his stomach flip (he will never admit this)

"This is missing something" Solomon

"Yeah but I can't figure out what" MC

"Have you tried *insert seemingly common ingredient that doesn't work for most things*" Mammon

"But no one uses that, it's why we're always stuck with it" MC

"Couldn't hurt to try. See, watch." Mammon.

"WAIT, MAMMON DON'T- ... IT WORKED!?" Mc/Sol

I always felt like Solomon doesn't really get Mammon, you know? But that doesn't mean he can't learn. And oh man, Solomon is such a tease and Mammon is so not good at being teased lol. That idea is giving me so many entertaining images, I can't even handle it.

I was very obsessed with the idea of barista!Mammon for a while, mostly because of a daily chat where he was working at a cafe and then got into a fight with customer. He's good at finances, so I think he could be pretty business minded if he wanted to be. So I was thinking about a situation where he owns his own cafe, but when the customers get rude with one of his fellow baristas, he gets into a fight with them lol. I hadn't really considered who that other barista was, but it could be MC.

GO D&D Character Fun Facts

These are just some silly facts about the some of characters in the AU (mainly just the main crew lol) (not super plot relevant but I like thinking about the silly things between the craziness that is the story)

Aziraphale: Ever since he started adventuring, keeps a journal log of his experiences, almost like a diary. He feels most comfortable writing. This journal is heavily detailed and kept very safe. However, he does also keep what Crowley calls his "shit journal". Its content ranges from grocery lists, spell combination ideas, to the mad ramblings of Aziraphale waking up at 2 am jotting down his dreams.

Crowley: If the mission allows, Crowley will find any excuse he can to use the allocated mission funds to buy cute outfits. Multiple times, for stealth/incognito missions, he has opted to go as "the wife" purely to add another dress to his closet and not use his own coins for it.

Anathema: Despite her family blood line consisting purely of sorcerers, they did not fall into the stereotypical "sorcerer elf" style of dress, with the frilly dress and multitude of accessories. Anathema, however, was quick to adopt the style and look as obnoxious and ornate as possible. (Think the "witchy vibes" style you find on Pinterest -- she absolutely rocks it)

Newt: Wanting to be an artificer, Newton has tried on many different occasions to make complex enchanted objects and inventions with anything he can get his hands on. However, he has only really been able to make an arrow that can "return to sender", as he tends to dispel the enchantments he tries to place before they can properly settle into the artifact. (Nina quite likes this arrow though, and uses it quite frequently)

Maggie: The only reason why Maggie became a Brute was because she would end up in fights with her brothers all the time and she was sick of losing. Her favorite thing is to wear her favorite skirts when going out on missions, as the subversion of expectation when they end up having to fight often gives her an advantage over her opponent (also the skirt provides a wider range of movement!)

Nina: Even when she was a kid, Nina always loved archery and messing with her dad's old bow and arrows. However, she only got really good at the craft after she had a falling out with her first partner, at around age 16. She would fire arrows at apples in her backyard, pretending that they were her ex.

Muriel: Back when they were at the church, it wasn't uncommon to find Muriel coming up with their own songs to sing while performing various chores. Usually they would be related to the chore in question they were doing. Once they started properly practicing bard magic, when doing chores around the house, their songs would control various cleaning supplies to help them complete the task. (This has scared Crowley on multiple occasions)

Character creation has always been one of my favorite parts playing any game with a CC, and gif making is so relaxing for me when I don't feel like gaming, so that truly means a lot. ♡

Now for your questions. I'll stick to my BG3 OCs (that have current playthroughs going on), otherwise we'll be here forever lol. I've actually thought about this a lot in the past, so answering this on my blog is fun. Just be jabbing myself a bit, but I feel like I'm not the best at putting my thoughts together and I tend to ramble, so this may be a bit all over the place. Good ol' ADHD brain. Hopefully one day I'll have ALL of their backstories written in a way that makes sense lol.

Who would they would/would not get along with:

Raven: She's snarky, sarcastic, and flirty but also very closed off to deeper conversations from anyone she's not close to. (In her mind, sharing secrets to her gives someone a power over you, so she avoids things like that at all costs.) I like to compare her to Mazikeen from the show Lucifer, because they're incredibly similar with their personalities. For this reason, she would get a long with almost everyone listed, except for Ember or Talon. Her and Kyvoni would def get along the most, as they share similar humor (and pasts). Her and Iris have... physical history, so Iris is still quite hurt regarding it, so they're wouldn't be on the best of terms.

Ember: To those who don't know her, she comes off as very serious and stoic, with a very regal aura about her. Also the literal biggest bookworm. Her and Juniper are sisters, with Ember being the older one, so they get along as well as and bicker as sisters do. Raven and Kyvoni would get on her nerves with their constant snark, so she would avoid them. She, Iris, Velvet, and Khione would get along amazingly. She would def pick Khione's brain about all things magic and share their favorite books. (Khione also writes and reads smut, so I always thought about her introducing those things to Ember lol.) Ember and Talon... might just kill each other. Keep them apart.

Juniper: She's pretty much the opposite of her older sister. Very much go with the flow and completely fine with spontaneity, unlike Ember who prefers structure. While Ember loves her younger sister, they bicker a lot now that their older since Juniper took the warlock route, instead of learning magic the "old fashion way" like her sister. Her patron is a couatl, so it's not like her pact is evil, but Ember still isn't happy with the way she went about things. Her and Iris would be best friends in an instant. She'd def lock on to Khione as another older sister figure, due to her draconic sorcerer background. She's pretty indifferent about the others, although she might pick up some of Raven's lewd humor.

Iris: An absolute sweetheart of a bard. Natural flirt, of course. Who doesn't love a pretty purple tiefling? As mentioned above, she had a fling with Raven and fell hard. Raven didn't return her feelings, so there's some hard feelings on Iris' end. She would get a long great with everyone, and even get Talon to crack a smile every now and then. She loves to bring positivity to any situation, so it's hard for most people to dislike her, as hard as they might try. Her and Velvet would be best friends.

Kyvoni: He's pretty intimidating on the outside, which he prefers. It keeps most people out of his space and out of his business. He can be snarky, usually going off into asshole territory with some of his sarcasm. Ember and Juniper wouldn't dislike him, but probably wouldn't pursue a friendship with him. They're just too different in that aspect. Him and Raven get along great and have constant banter. They sometimes both have a very lewd sense of humor, which gets on the others nerves quite often lol. Him and Talon would be fine, and have a mutual respect for one another.

Talon: She's very prickly lol. She's pretty abrasive and blunt most of the time, even when it's not needed. She has tattoos over a lot of her body, mostly depicting snakes within them, so she looks intimidating to most people. (I'll figure out how to implement them in game one day.) Due to this, she doesn't get along with most of my other OCs at first, but would eventually warm up to Iris and Velvet, since they would go out of their way to get to know her softer side.

Khione: She's incredibly intelligent, and sweet... most of the time. Think Evie from The Mummy. She is a draconic sorcerer, so of course she's well versed in magic without trying, and specializes in ice magic, though she's not really much of a show-off. She prefers to let her mind impress people. As mentioned above, she's a bookworm and a writer, so her and Ember would get along great, especially after she helps mend her relationship with her sister. Khione can match Raven and Kyvoni when it comes to their wit, which will throw them both off at first, but they'll come to be good friends.

Velvet: She's very much a mix of sweet and spicy. She feels the spice is needed, as some people are put off by her being a half-drow, necromancer, and for her eyes which are black voids. (A side effect from a spell when she was younger and just getting into necromancy.) She would get a long with Talon, despite Talon's spiky nature. They have a lot in common with their backgrounds, so Velvet would be able to crack her shell. Iris constantly comments on how pretty she is, which blossoms their friendship. She would get a long fine with the rest of them, though they might not become as close as Talon and Iris.

Obviously I love all my bbys, but if I could have one in my party as a companion, it would be Kyvoni. He's an ex member of Zhentarim, and has a long, sordid past he would prefer to keep secret. He would def agree to anything that gets you paid or intimidation tactics at the beginning. He has a bit of a temper, and can be incredibly impulsive. He would be a tough nut to crack in opening up when it comes to his past or feelings about things, whether it be a friendship or romance path. A romance path would def have a scene were he intentionally pushes you away or tries to get you to hate him. He's dangerous, and already had someone close to him hurt because of it. He doesn't want to go through it again and has sworn off of matters of the heart. (Hoping to eventually dig deeper into what everyone would be like as a companion.)

I play all of them simultaneously, just depending on who's story I feel like playing at the time. Sometimes I play a certain character for days; other times, I switch characters multiple times within the hour. Just depends! I actually still haven't finished the game, but didn't really mind ending spoilers, so I have a good idea of who will do what. I'm currently working on act 3 with a lot of them.

you might remember this since i believe you've been around obm tumblr since the first season was released, but i recall that only a handful of individuals (including myself) had done in-depth analyses on solomon even though season two had barely ended. ever since then i've always become ecstatic to see other players who have similar views on solomon as i do, but i also understand that i will never be satisfied with how the majority view this silly sorcerer </3 the bouts of lore i have stashed away in my head for him is phenomenal

because although there are many instances of him being so soft & vulnerable with us, there are also those who view him similarly as the newer players despite them being caught up in the main story; i believe that their love for everyone else in the cast (mostly concerning the demons) will override how they view him.

this isn't something that i'm terribly upset by of course, but i can't help but think back to when i had to point out numerous key points about solomon to older players in order for them to see more things clearly, which is fine! but it only makes me wonder just how influenced people can become depending on what their favorite characters think of someone else.

You're right. I've been an OM player since a few days after launch, but due to...uhh reasons (which my readers in AO3 and fellow writer friends love to meme on. It's easy to figure out "the reason" if you've seen my works in AO3 haha.), I was not able to show my love and appreciation for Solomon until now.

Isn't it so cool? Most of the Solomon lovers I know know so many nuggets of information about him which is so amazing, so cool and so so very sexy of us ;) /s. Truth be told, Solomon wasn't always my favourite character (though he is one of the characters I liked). I had been a Satan stan around I think 2-3 months of playing until I got to know more about Solomon.

I would have to be honest. I was not prepared to see how much hate this man had gotten from the fandom starting out. I get it. He was really rude in 2-2 which might have soured his first impressions with most beginners. This, along with the vagueness and inconsistencies of his character in the first lessons + Lucifer's own commentaries in Main Story Normal Mode 2-2 didn't help. He also had very strange ways of showing he's looking out for us in the earlier lessons.

Do you remember when he showed the password to enter Leviathan's room to us "accidentally" on the earlier lessons? Also when he lent us a super valuable collector's item (the necklace) from the TSL series that EVEN LEVI doesn't own? No one was talking about it (most people might have chosen to speak with Simeon instead), and the few people who did were being overpowered by the "shady sorcerer", "haha main villain", "who are the real demons" jokes in the fandom before.

I actually had a brief moment in time when I kinda didn't like Diavolo because he was so woobified in the fandom despite doing so much "shadier" things (with the Angel event being the worst thing he did imo around that time I had that phase) along with Barbatos (And Simeon iirc) compared to when Solomon just breathes and everyone is like "Wow he's so shady!" And I'm like wow??? The man didn't even do anything?? Give him a break!!

And you are right. I think that's likely the reason why--even with context, even if all evidences and devilgrams have expounded on Solomon's character and disproved all these "shady sorcerer" memes and whatnot, some endgame players still think differently. And honestly, I can't fault them. Even as a Solomon stan, I'm guilty of overlooking some things about other characters because I'm too busy enjoying all the little things about my favourite and that's okay. It's valid but it's sad, ig?

I think one other factor that might have influenced the hate he got is how late he got introduced as a romanceable. He's a human! He has pacts! Some MCs may have seen him as a "rival" for their favourite demon(or Simeon)'s affections. By the time he became romanceable and more of these tiny little things we already noticed about him in the first and second season became more obvious, it's too late. Opinions were already formed. The fanfic and fanart community already have a "set character" for him/their own HCs--a collective conscious of sorts where a character's portrayal may not be accurate to canon, but that's what the fandom already thought of them so people who enter the fandom would inevitably have preconceived notions about him that are around the same wavelength. Just look at poor Diluc at Genshin Impact. He's also getting the same treatment. :(

A/N: hi lol this has a whole plot. I was gonna turn it into a narrative, but I was too lazy to, so here's a straightforward and bulleted one. If you want to know more about your cursed technique from here, message me?

Slight angst || Mostly fluff || Some hurt w/ comfort || Slow burn-ish?

• Fushiguro Megumi was winter. Cold, uninviting, harsh; hauntingly beautiful.

• You were picked up as a new first year before Yuuji and Nobara came into the picture, so it was just you and Megumi.

• You both had a professional relationship, though with constant prodding from Gojo, you two eventually became not-talking friends.

• Aka, just hanging around the dorms and enjoying each other's company through silence

• This newfound friendship helped increase you two's teamwork since your cursed technique pairs well with his.

• Even if you consider yourself friends with Megumi and he probably does as well, you knew you were both still hesitant about telling each other more personal info.

• Considering your technique is both dangerous and self-destructive, you have lied throughout your life about the true nature of it.

• Only Gojo and Principal Yaga seem to know the full extent.

• Though considerably weaker than Gojo and Yuuta, your technique was still classified as dangerous and thus, to be kept under lock and key.

• You didn't mind; you were sick of having to committ a heinous crime just for a taste of true abyssal awakening.

• Because of the cover up, other sorcerers have speculated that your technique might be a variation of the Zenin clan's due to it being related to shadows (though, yours doesn't necessarily rely on shadows; simply darkness).

• You vehemently denied this rumor though, and for some reason, Megumi appeared relieved after you denied his suspicions.

• Once again, you weren't that close of a friend to him, but you knew you both had an equal amount of respect for each other, which is saying something if it's Megumi.

• He did say the only one he truly admired was Yuuta, but you came in close.

• Your time training with him has always been fruitful, learning to create new strategies for one another's benefit.

• Overall, you had a solid foundation of friendship with him.

• You just wished you could get over your anxiousness about personal matters to be able to speak to him casually.

• Talking to him felt like you were walking on eggshells, but it's mostly just from your overthinking that you felt that way.

• He didn't seem to mind some of your rambles.

• His heart just didn't appear to be in it, so it was a surprise for you when he suddenly questioned why you stopped talking to him about certain things.

• Try as you might to include him in conversations, chiming in occasional snippets like "Oh, Fushiguro-kun once fought a curse..." that were related to the topic, he just wouldn't engage fully.

• You stopped trying to and simply focused on your two new hopeful friends.

• You respect his boundaries, you thought.

• Yuuji was summer. Hot, adventurous, the most awaited, oh so friendly; the one you relate to the most.

• As much as you adore Nobara, you weren't really cut out for the fashion thing wherein you're supposed to dress by the latest trends.

• She respected it, but still wanted your opinions about certain outfits, which you would always happily oblige to giving despite your limited knowledge.

• Yuuji, on the other hand, was well-versed in internet happenings, as he constantly referenced his favorite movie and main actress from the said movie.

• Your interests and humor aligned with his almost perfectly, so banter between you two were fresh and easy.

• You noticed that Yuuji was trying to include Megumi into your new friend group, but an antisocial guy like him evidently wasn't interested much in your hobbies.

• Safe to say you were feeling rather defeated after numerous more attempts with Yuuji.

• You felt like your quiet friendship with Megumi was starting to crumble, as your once quiet hangouts turned loud and chaotic with the two new additions.

• "He'll come around eventually!" He would say with full confidence, and a part of you believed it too.

• One day, you were supposed to go to the mall with the rest of the first years, yet Yuuji and Nobara suspiciously bailed on you last minute.

• "I completely forgot that Gojo-sensei wanted to train with me today! I'm so sorry!" Pleaded Yuuji, hands clasped together and almost begging on his knees to forgive him, which you immediately did.

• "I also forgot that Maki wants to teach me these new defensive tactics with some cursed tools. I've always wanted to do that, so please? I can come next time, I promise." Said Nobara, guilty expression on her face, so you also quickly reassured her that it was fine.

• You presumed that the hangout would have to be postponed due to half the group backing out, but Megumi said something that absolutely shattered your perception of your friendship with him.

• "We could still go, if you want to." His voice was so quiet – quieter than yours, you'd guess – that you almost didn't hear him. It made you blink.

• "Ah, huh?"

• You remembered how he clearly looked like he was avoiding turning to you, gaze downcast and hands shoved in his pockets.

• "You kept on rambling about the new arcade that opened there, and this is a rare free day we get to have, so... let's not waste it?"

• As much as you wanted to believe that, you still considered his feelings.

• "Are you sure YOU want to go with me?"

• He almost snapped his neck from looking up at you too fast. You flinched and blinked in confusion, recoiling at the sudden reaction.

• "What do you mean by that? I always like being... with... you..."

• Oh...

• "Huh?" You stuttered out.

• His face turned pink, expression pinched.

• "I thought it would be nice to hang out together like before. With just us two."

• "Fushiguro-kun..." So, friendship saved? "I would love to."

• After that fateful day, you and Megumi began to hang out more.

• You learned to balance your time between Yuuji, Nobara, and Megumi so you'd be able to hang with them equally.

• Though, Megumi started to evidently become your new favorite when you would turn down the other two's invites and simply stay behind with him.

• They once caught you two in your own room, doing nothing but leaning on each other and reading a novel you loved.

• While you were alright with them barging in, even inviting them over to lie down with you, Megumi was surprisingly uncomfortable with it.

• When you asked why he wanted to go back to his own room, he turned his head away and a noticeable flush was seen on the back of his neck.

• You were oblivious to this newfound reaction, but Yuuji and Nobara took one single look and immediately understood.

• Training sessions with Megumi were a reoccuring theme. Sometimes, he even invites you to train with him outside of your proposed times.

• You didn't mind; the stronger you can control your technique by learning from him, the better.

• It was a routine at this point. You knew you would never have it any other way, and had an inkling that he felt the same way.

• It was painful and therapeutic, in a way. Silent but filled with deadly jabs.

• Just as Megumi summoned Nue, Gojo-sensei appeared, carrying a squirming Yuuji.

• "Gojo-sensei," greeted Megumi, deliberately ignoring a whining Yuuji.

• "Itadori-kun, are you okay?" You asked afterwards, concerned at how he was being held.

• Gojo simply smiled and dropped him, causing him to cry out.

• "Megumi-chan! Yuuji will be replacing you for awhile so he can train with them. He needs to get used to the teleporting... Plus, I need to talk with you~"

• Megumi was stunned while you were getting excited over a minimal change in the routine. Training with Yuuji? Sounds fun! You always wanted to train with a more hands-on person to improve your close combat skills.

• Just as you helped Yuuji up, Megumi barked out a "no".

• Yet eventually, Gojo managed to drag him towards the entrance in order to not get caught with your training.

• You and Yuuji didn't really know how to start at first, but after suggesting to simply go all out towards one another, you found a working system with him.

• It was a breath of fresh air, trying to not use your technique much when handling him – which was the complete opposite with Megumi – and you could feel your reflexes sharpening with each punch he swung.

• Once you started laughing, enjoying your training with him, he also began to laugh with you.

• After all, "work hard, play hard," right?

• While you were training with Yuuji, you once again overheard some of their conversation; Gojo wasn't the type to tone down his voice, anyway.

• You also didn't realize it, but the whole time they "talked", Megumi was silently watching you both and subconsciously glowering.

• "So, what do you say?" Gojo asked, grinning since he noticed Megumi was focused on something else during the whole talk.

• Megumi blinked and shrugged.

• "What's up with the staring? Got something on your mind about..." Gojo attempted to whisper your name, yet it was still heard.

• Megumi flushed a deep red and stayed silent, glaring at his sensei the whole time. Gojo laughed at his face.

• "I knew it! Oh, that's adorable, but you know..."

• He leaned closer, only then turning his voice down so Megumi's the only one who can hear.

• "Yuuji-kun would be a better match for them than you."

• You, the eavesdropper, flinched when you suddenly hear Gojo yell out what seemed to be a sound of pain.

• Yuuji whistled, "Doesn't he have his infinity still? How'd Fushiguro touch him?"

• Maybe Gojo thought he deserved it? You hummed, shrugging at the thought.

• Megumi was walking back towards you two when Yuuji managed to catch you offguard, swinging a leg underneath yours and making you trip backwards.

• Ow.

• Without another second wasted, Megumi was by your side, helping you up, yet not saying anything. Yuuji was busy apologizing to you.

• You brushed both of them off.

• "I'm fine, I'm fine."

• Yet, as you tried to walk, a sharp pain in your ankle made you realize you might have sprained it.

• Before you could fall down again, both Megumi and Yuuji were ready to catch you.

• "Let's take them to Shoko–" Yuuji started, but Megumi subtly pulled you in closer to his side.

• "It's fine. I'll take them. You tell Gojo-sensei what happened."

• As you two were heading to the clinic slowly, you decided to break the silence.

• "So... what did you and Gojo-sensei talk about earlier?"

• Unexpectedly, he turned bright red and turned to the side, not letting you see his face.

• "It's nothing important."

• "Oh, okay... if you still wanna talk about it, I'm all ears?"

• "Not necessary."

• "... Oh."

• "Wait, no, it's not like that–" he began fumbling. You simply chuckled.

• "No, I get it. If it's personal, then I won't poke you anymore."

• You may not know it, but Megumi was grateful you decided to drop the subject.

• A solo mission turned your life upside down.

• You were excited about going on your own, though a bit scared, as well.

• When you talked to Megumi about being offered the job, he was immediately on your ass about not going.

• "It's way too dangerous," he said, "What are they thinking sending just one student?"

• You reassured him that it could just be a test and the curse was a grade two, anyway. You were more than capable of handling it.

• He was hesitant even up to the day you were going to leave for the mission.

• "Just... be careful, okay?"

• "Okay."

• The mission was easy at first. There was a young girl trapped in an abandoned convenience store where the curse was staying in. She was evidently younger than you. The locals who heard her screams inside, about being stuck, contacted the fire department. Try as they might, they couldn't pull any windows or doors open.

• Cue you, a jujutsu sorcerer.

• As you were fighting the curse, you didn't notice that the curse could separate its limbs.

• You only heard the girl scream again, making you whirl around in alert and watch as the curse's hand was about to plunge into her abdomen.

• "Stop!" You yelled, opening a portal underneath the girl to transport her into your pocket dimension for awhile.

• "I'll get you back, I promise!" You reassured her as she looked at you with wide eyes filled with tears before being pulled inside the portal you made.

• After getting more freedom from not having to protect someone while fighting, you defeated the curse easily.

• So, the only thing left to do was to bring her back.

• You summoned a portal, waiting for her to walk back out, and yet...

• She never did.

• Panicking after waiting for a few more minutes, you entered the portal yourself.

• Inside the empty pocket dimension, you couldn't find her. You searched everywhere, even calling upon your trusty "search units" – the bat terrors, to search with you. Even with their sensitive echolocation, there was no trace of her.

• The thought of sending her into that place sent chills down your spine.

• You couldn't have opened a portal to the abyss for her... right?

• With great hesitance, you opened it and looked inside.

• You were greeted with the mass of abyssal horrors gnawing on her flesh.

• "Human... Warm..." You heard their distorted voices say in their language, causing you to stumble back.

• With wide eyes and a horrified expression on your face, you watched as you subconsciously closed the portal slowly.

• As if to mock you, a finger was thrown out of the portal before it entirely closed, splattering blood on your face and unto the floor.

• The rest of the day happened in a daze. When your supervisors asked you where the girl was, you couldn't speak.
