you and your niece Hana, approach the classroom, and you spot parents already bidding their goodbyes and waving to their children from the cheery, chat-filled classroom.
Hana reaches for your hand, holding your large hand with her small one. you look down at your niece, and she wears a white shirt, denim overalls, and a beige backpack, you had dressed her up this morning. The young girl stands outside the door with you and looks into the classroom from the door nervously.
“y/n, auntie…” She begins, “What if no one wants to be my friend?”
There’s a look of surprise on your face after hearing what she said. She looks down at her beige, velcro sneakers. You squat down to match the little girl’s level,
“Hana… Why would you think that?”
“I don’t know… I don’t want to be the only one alone.” She says, and her frown deepens,
“Hana, sweetheart,” you start, holding both her hands in between your palms, “Trust me, at least one person will talk to you. Even if it isn’t today, someone amazing like you will make a friend, I mean, who wouldn’t want to be your friend? I made a lot of friends when I was your age,”
You pause and put your hands on her shoulders, making eye contact, and your tone softens,
“You and I, we’re alike, . your dad and grandma think so too.” you begin, “And, be glad. Your dad isn’t as cool as me, trust me. Be glad you got your auntie’s genes, and because you have my genes, you’ll be the coolest in the room.”
“You sure?” Hana questions,
“Of course I am.” You assure her. You stand up and encourage her, “Now, come on, let’s go inside, your dad said your teacher was nice!” you say, smiling at the little girl and standing up again, “You lead me, I might get lost and I’m a bit scared myself, this isn’t my classroom after all.”
Hana’s worried expression is replaced by a growing smile after hearing your last remark,  “You’re so silly y/n, you’re old and scared? I thought you said you were the coolest!” Hana giggles, teasing you slightly.
“Hey! I am the coolest! and I'm not old! you should see your dad!”
The little girl laughs and gains a sudden boost of confidence from the lighthearted teasing, holding, no, grabbing your hand and practically pulling you into the classroom with her as if you were Alice traveling into some wonderland.
You two enter the classroom, and the first thing you notice is the smell. The vanilla scent isn't overwhelming, and you can even smell the faint notes of peaches and pears. The scent matches the slightly chaotic classroom and its well-thought-out arrangement and reminds you of the cafe you work at in a way.
There are kids in seats that are coloring, some looking or running around the room, and some with their parents taking pictures. Hana drags you to the colorful cubbies where she would put her finished work and lunchbox in. She shows you the sticker she put on the cubby with her dad from when they visited for the open house, and you smile at the sight. It’s a shark sticker, Hana and her dad love sharks.
“Hana, love, stand next to the cubby, I want to show your dad.” You tell her, pointing to the area where you want her to pose. She scoots over to the spot and smiles widely, her gums showing a bit as she smiles so brightly; it makes you smile too. you quickly snap a picture and send it to the group chat that your brother, mom, and dad are in.
You two wander around to where the backpacks are supposed to be hung, and your gaze wanders across the room to see a beautiful woman waving to a parent. The woman smiles at the other parent and crouches down to the little boy's level, then points to an empty seat before standing up and making eye contact with you.
The woman is beautiful. Her dark brown hair flows effortlessly down to around where her ribs are. You find that it might be weird to think this, but her nose is perfect. The way it’s angled and the slope of it, and you surprise yourself at how much you like her nose, because you’ve never really thought about a nose like this. your gaze moves down to her peach-colored lips, and they look soft, lush, and really kissable-
you stop your thoughts on her lips there, because this is a woman you’ve just seen for the first time (and she’s making you all flustered and blushy like a stupid teenager in some romcom).
You look at her outfit, it’s cute and pretty, just like her. She wears a beige cardigan and white skirt that is loose on her thin figure, and the jewelry that completes her look is a small silver necklace sitting on her fair skin, just above her exposed collarbone, a small bracelet around her hand, and small gold earrings.
Hana feels the hand that holds hers slightly loosen up, and she looks up at you to see you staring across the room, ears tinted a shade of light pink. She looks over to what, or- who you’re looking at, which makes her tug at your sleeve, and it breaks you out of your trance.
“That’s my teacher, she’s really nice,” Hana says, smiling, “Last time, she gave me an extra sticker! Dad says she reminds him of you.”
“Me?”
“He says that she has the same warmth or something, I don’t know how people can be warm in the same way, that was kind of weird. He also said the way she talks to me reminds him of you.” Hana says. Your niece walks you over to the woman and she smiles at your niece,
“Y/n, this is Ms. Minatozaki.” Hana says shyly, tugging at your hand.
“Hello, Hana. It’s nice to see you again.” The woman says, patting her head. Her voice is sweet and higher pitch, and the way she speaks is soft and welcoming, it even makes your cheeks warm up a bit.
Her smile almost has you losing your balance, as if you were a weak tree getting hit by a gust of strong wind. The way her lips curved up to reflect her genuine joy in seeing your niece again made you weak in the knees. The woman’s gaze lands on you, and she makes eye contact. Her head is just barely angled when she looks up at you due to her being a couple of inches shorter, and you try not to fall into another trance from seeing her alluring features up close.
You try to compose yourself as you put your hand out to greet the beautiful woman,
“Hello Ms, I’m y/n.”
“It’s nice to meet you, Y/n.” She replies. Sana is stunned by the woman in front of her, and it takes her a moment to really take in your presence. Your face is almost intimidating from how sharp your features are, and she’s trying not swoon over you in the moment seeing as you’re in the middle of introducing yourselves, and you’re (what she thinks,) Hana’s mother.
her smaller hand fits yours perfectly as she shakes it. the world seems to pause for a bit as you realize this beautiful woman is shaking your hand, and it feels like you’re in a drama of some sort as everything slows down around you. She puts another hand on the outside of yours so that both hands are welcoming you into her precious workplace.
Hana looks between the two women, a small smile tugging at her lips. She senses the spark that forms from the small interaction, and the way her aunt’s stoic and (usually) confident facade disappears at the moment.
You notice that your hands are still connected, and you pull away to run a hand through your hair, trying to play it off (you don’t, by the way, Hana reads right through you).
You shift your look over to the little girl and squat down again to meet her level. A loose strand of hair that didn’t get braided is pushed behind your niece's ear by your slender fingers.
“Alright,” You say, placing a thumb on the girl's cheek, rubbing it lightly, “I’ll let you be off on your own, go have fun and be good okay? I’ll be here in the afternoon.”
“Yes y/n!” Hana beams, giving you a toothy grin. You laugh out softly and give her an almost identical grin back,
Your smile widens and there's a small feeling of worry that doesn’t go unnoticed. You really do hope everything goes well for your niece, after all, she’s your only niece and you just want the best for her.
“If your teacher says you were good today, we can go to the cafe and I can make you your favorite hot chocolate, how about that? Ms. Dahyun also said she made a special croissant for you.”
“Please! Please! I’ll be good, I promise.” Hana says, practically jumping up and down. You smile at her enthusiasm and nod,
“Alright, be good to Ms. Minatozaki lovely, I’ll see you later.” You say before you two exchange a nice, warm hug, and after you pull away, you push away her bangs and press a kiss to her forehead, lingering for a second.
You stand back up and watch the little girl run off on her own to an empty desk with coloring pages and markers, you smile at the sight.
“Hana is very enthusiastic, she’s a wonderful little girl from what I’ve seen so far. She’s so cute!” Ms. Minatozaki beams, and you turn your head to meet her gaze again, nodding.
“Yeah, she’s a curious little girl, and very bright.” You begin, then sigh, “I just hope she doesn’t cause any trouble. She’s pretty shy with new people, but she’s very energetic when she warms up and, well- you know how kids are.” You joke.
Ms. Minatozaki lets out a giggle, and the way her nose scrunches makes you lose your cool a bit, it’s so cute that it has you laughing with her, and you don’t even bother to think about how pink your ears are right now.
“I’ll be going now Ms-”
“You can call me Sana, I mean, you’re not my student.” She says, laughing a little.
“Definitely not.” You joke, and you want to joke on forever and make her laugh the whole day just to see how her face lights up and how adorable she looks when her nose scrunches slightly.
Sana watches you straighten out your dark brown jacket and her cheeks warm up a bit when you shoot her that cute smile of yours, but of course, you don’t notice due to how oblivious you are in the moment. The young teacher punches herself mentally for feeling a small flutter in her chest from who she thinks is her students’ mom, and she wonders how she’ll survive the year if she’ll see you more often.
“I’ll get going then, again, let me know if anything happens.”
“Of course, I’ll make sure Hana has a great day,” Sana responds, nodding.
You and Sana exchange sweet smiles again, a similar warmth spreading through the two of you as you part.
Before heading out the door, you wave to your niece again and the two of you smile at each other. You also take one more look at your niece's beautiful teacher, then head out to clock into your morning to afternoon shift.
Leaving the building, the sun seemed to shine a little brighter, and there was a new warmth in your chest knowing that Hana was in the hands and care of such a beautiful, sweet, and cute teacher: Ms. Minatozaki.
You were definitely going to convince your brother to let you take Hana to school more often, and pick her up regularly too.
… and little did you know, Sana would hope to see you often as well.

AITA for wanting to sing in my most comfortable voice part?
I (15F) belong to a 3-part choir. There are Soprano 1s, the highest part, Soprano 2s, and Altos, the lowest part. I joined this choir in the beginning of the school year, and I was placed as a Soprano 1. Prior to that, I had sang Alto in other choirs and musical theatre productions, because I wasn't confident with my voice. However, my choir teacher (40s M) placed me as a Soprano 1, and I've never felt more confident with my voice. Just a few weeks ago, we were getting new sheet music, and all of a sudden, I hear him telling me to go sing the Alto part. Assuming it's just for this one song, and feeling slightly flattered that he thinks I'm that versatile, I go and sing the part. However, this past rehearsal, I realise that he's placed me as an Alto indefinitely. As we started rehearsing this song, I quickly realised that it was very uncomfortable for me to be singing that low. I didn't want to make a fuss, though, so I didn't really say anything. Yesterday, I sent him an email, basically telling him that, while I'm flattered that he thinks I have such a strong range, I simply can't sing that low and it's painful to my voice, and it would be much better for me to switch back to being a Soprano 1. He replied earlier today, saying that he's glad I emailed, and he'll have the assistant choir director (mid-late 20s M) re-test my range if I think I should go back, but he'd rather move me to the Soprano 2s because I have a "strong voice". I know I have the range to sing with the Soprano 2s, but so does literally every other Soprano 1, and I'm more comfortable singing Soprano 1. This is the part where I could be the asshole. I was talking to my friend (14F) who's also in this choir, and I said something about me "carrying the choir" because our choir teacher wants me to sing every voice part. She got incredibly upset at me, and said I was being conceited, and so many people would love to have as much of a range as I did. I fired back, telling her that she was lucky that she was guaranteed to stay a Soprano 1, where I have a strong enough range that I'm not where I feel most comfortable. She maintains that I'm being an asshole for not realising that other people in our choir would kill to have as good a range as I do, and she's now not talking to me. Am I the asshole for maintaining that I want to remain a Soprano 1, despite my choir teacher's insistence and my friend's believing I'm being rude?
What are these acronyms?

Tumblr media
it wasn't an underrated statement, to say that, zhongli from the front class was literally the most—if not, intelligent—famous guy throughout the entire year.
some said he was a prodigy of some sort, while others often looked up at him as their own role model. the way he often ranked one in any tasks or exams in the semester, there was no way he was never not the talk of the school.
with his strikingly slender and tall figure, plus his sharp features littered everywhere on his effortlessly charming face, always in a neat three-piece suit whenever he walked down the hallway, it was safe to say that almost everyone was head over heels for him, you included.
something about him reeked of wisdom, maturity and kindness. he was everything you wanted in a man. a perfect human if you had ever seen one.
the glances you stole during his weekly assembly speeches, the way you never really focused in class but only at him, you really needed to do something about this, because what started as a simple crush turned much more worse, especially when it was your last semester to land yourself on an excellent gpa.
he was everything that you weren't. this fact alone made you scrambled to talk properly at him, especially during that one time when you were somehow magically—or, your chemistry teacher randomly—paired up with him as his lab partner. it was a memory you wouldn't want to go back, because the way you were nothing next to him made you dumber and more often you were left speechless at the confidence and intelligence he exuded.
that time, you exactly knew why he was the most voted person to win the student election. the capability of a leader; to lead, to teach, to advise, to grow, to win, he did all of them to you, and you cursed mentally at your stupid heart for melting at his amazing aura.
though one thing you were forever grateful was, you scored a solid A+ in chemistry, all thanks to zhongli who unknowingly keeping up with your antics to not mess up the project and promised you that everything would go well if you understood the concept.
somehow, your feelings at him worsened after that, but matters of heart were never in one's full control anyway.. right?
"zhongli was really helpful, i am so glad that he was my partner."
"if i said that zhongli was a sweet person, you guys wouldn't believe me. the way his intimidating aura overshadowed that caring side of him.. he really helped me a lot on my understanding for that hellish carbon compound chapter."
"oh god, hu tao, have you seen zhongli today? wait, we're classmates, but whatever, he looks good as always."
"his speech yesterday was so inspiring. how come a man has so many advanced vocabularies in his head?"
hu tao eyed you with a something akin to a disgusted look and your face, "y/n, don't you really think that you, somehow, should get this feeling off your chest?"
"i know," you sighed, leaning against the chair and silently enjoying the breeze coming from the window beside you. for a fleeting moment, it was calming, and your mind seemed to relax, but hu tao and xiangling seemed to not wanting you get away from the current topic.
"for god's sake, you have been talking about him for the past thirty minutes," xiangling smiled cheekily at the way your face went in embarrassment, she gave you a wink whilst clapping unamusingly, "yes, we know he's perfect. yes, he's cool and all, but are you really going to live your life with regrets, and that 'oh i wish i confessed to him sooner' because we are almost done with high school and we both know perfectly that you actually love him," this time, she was the one sighing, clearly disappointed that you didn't take any step further to do something, anything, with your feelings.
"before you guys went mad at me or something," you puckered your lips, "zhongli is like a celebrity, have you guys even seen how busy he is? walking back and forth towards the school's office to settle our needs, blah blah blah. he's always not in class when we don't have classes. how should i even start to approach him?" the more you thought of it, it was a ridiculous idea.
maybe living in denial was better than embarrassing yourself for getting 'friendzoned'. but, hu tao and xiangling were right. you needed to do something about your crush towards zhongli, because it started to affect you as a whole.
"we've been classmates for more than a semester, are you telling me that he wouldn't look at you? at least we're friends, not some juniors who are delusional, thinking that they can sit beside him during lunch or something," hu tao interrupted your deep thoughts, same as xiangling, she could only give you a heavy sigh.
as someone who knew zhongli because of their part-time together outside of school, she once laughed hysterically when you told her the not-so-secret about you crushing on her co-worker.
"make the first move, y/n. you'll never know what's in store."
for most part, you often questioned yourself for being an actual idiot to do what they said. why did you even accept their challenge to confess at him before your final exam, you truly didn't know the real reason behind it. maybe you really had set yourself to really get it out. once again, what would it be for? simple. you just wanted to move on with your phase of having this stupid crush on everyone's sweetheart. there was so many people that wanted him, maybe more than you did, so the thought of him considering your feeling was never coming across your mind.
however, talking about it was way easier than verbally made actions for it.
the way your heart was beating so fast when he brushed your shoulder slightly and greeted you with a nod at the school's gate made you instantly knew that you would be heartbroken if he shrugged you off.
the way your stomach dropped when he once came back from the principal's office to settle down some paperwork about senior field day with another student council, asked you if your table was still vacant since he was rushing to eat lunch before heading out to meet the vice principals. he said something about your table was the closest to reach, and thanked you after stuffed himself with a mere egg sandwich. all in all, you were baffled and almost choked yourself on the soup xiangling brought. you finally gasped in realisation when the situation registered itself inside you; you had lunch with zhongli, although it was like under ten minutes, but still.
the whole cafeteria must've witnessed such scene, and for a second, you almost giggled at the way you felt like you had won against other zhongli's fans.
the way your fingers trembled when he helped you balanced yourself during one of the p.e. sessions inside the indoor court where you were tasked to do gymnastics. zhongli volunteered to help the teacher—you, and many, once again were ultimate whipped at his altruism—to look out for any minor errors while you guys were, at least, trying.
it was a miracle that zhongli decided to help you in the first place, the way his warmth seeped under your skin when he held you close for you not to fall while balancing on the beam, it was really hard to not getting swayed. safety comes first, you reminded yourself, you were a no gymnast too. but the way his cheek was almost pressed against your side to catch you when you slipped, his hold tightening, you swore you were in shambles.
it was the worst when you needed his approval of organising your club to help and visit an orphanage at the countryside, mainly for some extra marks for your club activities and this made you regretted why you were the club secretary in the first place. you didn't understand why you needed to seek zhongli's signature on your paperwork, but considering that the principal himself did say that he would approve whatever the president approved during one of the assemblies, it was way better, technically, than to wait and fidgeting with your fingers at the principal's office for hours, debating with him on why the school's fee should be lent for your club for travels and food and stuff.
"zhongli," your voice sounded small, and you mentally freaked out at how weak you sounded, totally not the you who casually once blurted out a curse word at hu tao at the science laboratory because she messed up with an experiment about insoluble salts, yet your group was doomed when the salts turned out soluble. something about hu tao accidentally used sodium instead of other options.
"oh, y/n," zhongli's eyes lightened up, he was only sitting at his desk, the blazer on him was never with a crease in sight, it just made him stood out even more, "what brings you here?"
you actually thanked the god that his desk wasn't crowded with people, or gifts, since it was still way before the first period.
for more than six months, you knew zhongli was the first one to enter the class, so you did what you had to do to meet him, came earlier than him, for the sake of the paperwork. your advisor said that the deadline would be by the end of this week, but you figured that the sooner this could be done, the sooner your heart would feel at ease.
only because of the charming man in front of you.
you were pathetic, you admitted that.
"uh, so, you see, my c-club, ah yes! my club, is going to help this one orphanage, b-but mr. tian said that i-it would be.. uh, easier, yes, for me to get your approval before anyone else.. or the principal. hm, yes," god, your social skills were never this bad, even the way zhongli was looking at you intently before shifting his eyes to the papers on your hand made your heart skipped a beat, "i.. i did the paperwork with ningguang, so the format must've been r-right. the details should be in there," it was indeed a miracle that you managed to voice out the lines you had been practicing since yesterday.
you vividly remembered that you were almost in the verge of breaking when you realised that you did the paperwork in the wrong way, and you didn't want to restart it again after spending hours and hours brainstorming on the ideas you should pour onto it. luckily, ningguang, the deputy president—bitter on your tongue to say this, but she was zhongli's partner in the council—helped you a lot when you decided to not be a coward and asked her for her advice. she did help you, and you knew that at least you wouldn't embarrass yourself in front of zhongli.
you handed the paperwork at him, sighed in relief when zhongli finally skimmed through it with a comforting smile.
"whose idea is this? it's a great initiative to obtain co-curricular marks with helping the orphans," he didn't look up at you, even when he sounded genuine and really went thoroughly the papers, "is it yours?"
"i, uhm, yes," you answered almost breathlessly, swallowing down the invisible lump in your throat when his eyes directly made in contact with yours, it was insane how much he affected you.
"is it so? that's endearing," zhongli chuckled lightly when he took a notice of the light red shades on your cheeks.
you weren't going to survive breathing the same air near him, the more you observed how attractive he was, the more your mind went blank, and all you could say was a small, "thank you."
though you didn't really know why you were thanking him for. maybe the slight hint of a compliment lacing under his last words made you felt like you were in cloud nine.
"you're welcome," zhongli didn't seem to mind the way you were flustered at his words and your response, as he delicately signed the paper with the black pen in his hand.
"may i.. go too?"
"what?!" you honestly should stop freaking out over simple things he said, please relax and stay calm for your own sanity. this was definitely getting out of hand.
"hm," he hummed, the silken, deep, sexy guttural tone underneath made you blinked at him multiple times for being stupidly gorgeous over little things such as this, and the way you responded to them questioningly, "i want to meet the children too," he stopped, reading your somewhat horrified face before continued on, "if it's alright with you, put my name in the list. once in a while, the children should believe in humanity, and us."
your mind went blank. did this mean zhongli would be going with you? like, literally...?
"y/n?" his tone changed, concerned look all over his face when you didn't budge to take back the papers on his desk but staring blankly at him.
"i, oh, yes—" you fixed your uniform, still didn't quite get it why you did so, presumably wanting to look presentable after all those stupid things you accidentally did in front of your own crush, "sure. i'll add you."
zhongli smiled at your words, before you bowed down at him, blabbering something about, "thank you for your approval," before you almost tripped yourself as you unknowingly kicked a chair in the way, bracing yourself to not fall down as your hands secured themselves on someone else's desk, mouthing, "i am fine," when zhongli's eyes almost widened at your clumsiness.
so when you finally reached your place, sitting down and pretending to be busy while shuffling through your things in your bag, zhongli's voice cut through the silence, "let's meet early again tomorrow, before everyone else is here. i would love to discuss the plan in details."
you didn't realise when, or how, but zhongli did turn himself fully to face you from a distant from his desk, while you, on the other hand, almost choked on thin air when you knew too well that you wouldn't be going to survive another day like this again.
but fate would always brought surprises in one's life, wouldn't it?
because the usual meetings an hour before class turned into a habit, and in some weird way, you found yourself more motivated to go to school early. even your mother was in shocked at how you woke up with a smile on your face, already in your uniform before heading out way too early when usually, around this time, you would groan at your mother that you needed five more minutes of sleep.
the activity at the orphanage went pretty smooth too, and you would consider that you were now friends with him—not like you didn't consider yourself as a friend to him initially, but all this time, you were, after all, only his classmate—because once again, your club advisor paired up you with him to distribute unwanted clothes and books to the kids. the smiles they gave back at you made your heart contented.
the habit of coming to school early made you realised that zhongli unknowingly brought the best version of you, and you were proud at how productive you had became.
it went on and on, until prom night was nearing.
it wasn't a thing before, but now, that you knew how to act properly in front of him, the only thing that was weighing inside you was should you ask him, or not?
sure, you weren't a special someone in his life, but xiangling's words haunted you more often than you liked. you didn't want to regret seeing zhongli with someone else in his arms, you wanted it to be with you. god, you sounded so selfish, when there was a long line in your year to be his prom date.
you would never stand a chance. maybe living in a blissful ignorance would be way better, although you were itching to not thinking of zhongli with someone else.
"this might seem out of context, or, generally speaking, this would, mayhaps, surprise you," zhongli started when both of you finally walked up outside of the stuffy class, decided that it was the best to get a fresh air early in the morning when no one was around. your mind would think this as a secret date, but of course, it wasn't.
"do you have a partner? for the prom night?"
you couldn't count how many times this man took your breath away with his unexpectedness, but it was bizarre that he found this thing intriguing in the first place, and to ask you that bizarre question.
because all things with zhongli were strictly business. that was what hu tao once said to you. he was a serious man, who took care of everything for the students, and didn't ponder over things such as.. this.
"n-no," you were caught off guard, but there was no way you would make a fool out of yourself again, he already seen worst, "why?" you couldn't help but to indulge in your own curiosity.
"nothing. i mean, i am just.. curious," zhongli blatantly lied and you cocked your head to the side slightly. spending your time with him made you realised that the perfect zhongli tended to avoid eye contacts when he tried to avoid something.
"really?"
"okay, no. i actually would like to spend the magical night, and wouldn't want to miss the chance to dance, with you," he was rather straightforward, not even his usual serious expression faltered when he just dropped the bomb out of nowhere and said that he wanted you to become his partner for the night.
"zhongli, i—" you took a deep breath, slightly pinching your face and yes, you weren't dreaming, zhongli was still there in front of you, waiting for your response, and right then and there, you ultimately decided to confess at him on that night, the outcome didn't matter, at least you could be with him for a night, "—yes, yes. of course, i would love to."
you didn't realise that you were almost in front of the school's beautiful courtyard, as zhongli smiled, sincerely smiled at you. he seemed loving, and the way his eyes told you a million stories behind them already told you much, that maybe, just maybe, zhongli did have a thing for you. there was no way his eyes would lie.
zhongli then mouthed a, "beautiful," before he planted a kiss at the corner of your lips. it was only for a moment, and if you weren't paying enough attention, you might not acknowledge him doing so. it was too short-lived. you were taken aback, and for the first time living in ignorance, you smiled at the little gesture.
you spotted hu tao and xiangling along the way, might need to kick their asses later when you saw hu tao handed over some cash at xiangling, before they giggled at your direction and ran away.

Most people would be distraught at being taken from their own bed and taken to an unknown destination. But you couldn't be happier to leave. Admittedly you didn't know where you were going or why. But did that really matter? You wouldn't be with them and that's all you could focus on. An escape. Your wish finally being heard by the gods above. You should be terrified. But you're not.
When you were finally dropped by the creature you couldn't help but be amazed. This was something from that of the books that you read. Apart from the books didn't give it the justice it truly deserves. One building stood in all its beauty. Light colours with flowers that had bloomed adding intricate patterns on the bricks. To its side stood an onyx replica of the first building. Instead of flowers, vines sprouted there. The two buildings joined by a beautiful bridge. This was most definitely a place of beauty but not one without shades of grey. You were dropped into freezing water outside the onyx building. You began to tread water watching as others were dropped in alongside you. They all seemed ecstatic to be here and that sort of eased your mind a little. It can't be bad if they want to be here right?
Dragging yourself from the water you made your way inside, instantly a tall red head with a stunning cane caught your eye. She seems to alluded a certain confidence which indicated she was the person in change of wherever you were. Timidly you approached her and realised you were right. She was most definitely in charge here. A simple bang of her can and everyone scrambled to find a place in front of her. You being the only one who froze in your spot. You listened as she explained the rules of her school. The dean of evil, lady lesso and also the teacher of curses and death traps. This women was clearly very powerful and well respected here. You made sure to make a note of that, don't piss her off. You quickly found your schedule and dorm room before she pulled you aside.
"Reader" her tone demanded your attention. Reader? "Y-yes?" You stuttered trying to keep eye contact so she wouldn't perceive you as rude. "How are you finding this? I do hope you were paying attention to the rules I will not be explaining them again. Comply or don't, that's up to you. But the doom room will always be there" she stated with a mischievous glint in her eyes. The Doom room? That sounded like the exact place you wanted to avoid. You quickly found a way to scuttle off and avoid any more conversations with anyone else.
You were then all shoved in a hall, you noticed the other side was girls in puffy dresses and boys with swords. Immediately you were glad you didn't have to be subjected to that. The dresses were far to revealing for you personally to wear. The gathering was short but direct. And you were starting to learn that the two sides wouldn't get along. One of good and the other evil. But why wasn't there a middle ground? What if you didn't fit into either of those sides? What would happen to you then? It wasn't worth thinking about. You decided then and there you'd keep your head down and make the most of this opportunity you'd been so graciously gifted.
So much change really was taking it's toll on your body. The stress of a arriving at the school, reliving some of the harsher punishments you received when hearing talks of the Doom room and even dealing with the purple and blue bruises that littered your skin. Adjusting was something you were finding rather difficult if your honest. You were doing extremely well with classes, spending hours sat at your desk, eyes scanning every page of every book you could possibly find. After all you knew you were at a disadvantage not being from this world. A reader as they call you. So you made sure to always put your best foot forward. Always fearing the day where you mess up and receive the correction at the hand of the dean.
The only thing you noticed you lacked here was friendship. It dose sadden you to know that but at the same time it's a relief to not have to come up with lies to cover the truth. You didn't have to spend extra energy covering the internal scarring your family left. This was the safer option despite how lonely it was. This is how you found yourself once again in the small library at the top of the Never building. It was late in the evening and you were attempting to get ahead in your curses and death trap course work when exhaustion took over and you drifted into an uneasy slumber.
That was how you were found two hours lady by the dean herself. She had the torture of patrolling tonight. It was a a tedious task but absolutely necessary, after all the last thing Lesso needs is Dovey reprimanding her on the unruly behaviour of her school. So far tonight's patrol had been dull, the Never's all seemingly behaving, until she heard muttering coming from the top library. As far as she knew none of the students were aware of this library, as it wasn't the main more central one, so it was a complete shock to hear any form of noise from here. It was only natural that she would investigate and when she did the sight that greeted her broke her cold darkened heart.
You had hunched over the desk, head resting on the desk and hands gripping at your sides. You were almost clawing at the skin that was now exposed due to your restless slumber. You had tears flowing down your cheeks, dripping onto the pages of the book below your head, soaking the pages ad you cried out. "Please! No! Stop! Ow! What did I do! I wasn't even that bad!" You seemed to be screaming at someone. In your sleep your body seemingly reacting to a threat that was no longer there. Whatever you were seeing had occurred before that much was clear. Only then did Lesso spot the bruising that was on show.
Putting two and two together wasn't hard, your shyness on day one, the self imposed isolation, trying to follow every rule impeccably and even the way you flinched when other Never's described the Doom room events. It all made too much sense now and Lesso was silently kicking herself for not noticing this sooner. She prides herself on her observation skills so this was an unusual. As Lesso planned her approach you cried out once more, a heart shattering whimper of clear pain. It seemed to echo around the library walls bouncing off them and crashing into Lesso. Whoever had hurt you had hurt you impeccably well.
You shot up, chest heaving and choking on your own sobs as you gasped for breath. You attempted to blink away the remainder of the dream that was playing behind your fuzzy eyes. Due to the state of you, you haven't even noticed the extra presence in the room, even if her eyes were observing every little detail. "Little one?" She almost cooed out, the tone being one you'd expect from the dean of good not Lesso. The words seemingly wrapping around you like a blanket, pulling you back to the present. Only then did you catch a glimpse of the older women and your brain threw you into a panic attack. You were so going to be punished for the display of weakness.
Immediately you made your way to the darkest corner of the room and curled into yourself. Lesso watched in shock not understanding the reaction but not wishing to make it any worse for you. Carefully she stalked forwards hands up in a mock surrender before she knelt in front of you. Your eyes were unfocused and your breathing dangerously out of rhythm. You looked like a terrified child. It was truly a heartbreaking sight. "Little one? It's Lesso, you need to breathe. Can you breathe for me?" She hummed were a comforting tone you didn't know she was capable of mustering. You attempted to breathe as she had asked but every gasp of air was burning your lungs. Sobs now wrecking through you at the pain and knowing you were failing a simple task. "Can I touch you y/n?" She whispered not wishing to spook you in which you nodded and allowed her to gather you in her embrace. Immediately she slowed her breathing to a relaxing rhythm impressed with how quickly you tried to copy it. Praise was flowing from the elder women and effectively aiding in calming you down. You weren't registering the pain of the elder women holding you due to the bruising. Only when you were calm enough did you shrink away from her, the pain now radiating through your body.
"Y/n? What is happening little one?" She murmured not really expecting a reply from you but seeming the fear in your eyes she could come to a good conclusion. "What's the bruising from little one?" Her words causing you to visibly stiffen. "My family" you mumbled through your sobs. It hurt to admit this, despite the truth behind the words. These people were blood, all you had ever known, how could they be the issue when they all shared one common theme. Hating you.  Nodding in an understanding Lesso opened her arms in a silent offer for a hug, you took it instantly overwhelmed and exhausted. Lesso held you tightly but being mindful of the bruising "you're safe my darling, they won't hurt you again I'll make sure of it little one." She reassured rocking you ever so slightly watching as you seemed to snuggle more securely into her warmth. Here in the moment you truly resembled that of a small scared child. It was here that you finally drifted off into a restful slumber, lesso allowed you to stay in her embrace until she was sure you were completely out of this world. Then she simply carried you to your dorm and tucked you in. Before leaving she turned your lamp on and left a simple note on your desk. The note read "dearest y/n come and find me in the morning I wish to speak with you about what you've been going through and find a way to support you, just know you're not alone and won't ever be alone again. You are safe here little one. You're safe with me. Lady lesso"

I just read your first work for Carlisle and I absolutely loved it!!! 😭❤️👌🏽 Maybe... could you write a second part? It's okay if you don't though!! I can't wait to read more of your works and I feel honoured to have found your blog! ❤️❤️❤️
ahhhh you’re so sweet thank you!! I am so glad to hear you liked it! I’m more than happy to write a second part, the first part is my most liked fic so it’s only right :D
I also did not know that Carlisle’s physical age is 23, but for the sake of this story we’ll say his physical age is like 30 or something 😭

Okay, That Hurt - Pt. 2 - Carlisle x Reader
(Part 1)
Genre - cute fluff stuff, possibly implied spice (not smut)
Warnings - cussing, age gap, implied spicy time
Summary - after the little accident with the demonic stairs, it’s about time Y/N get their cast off. However, that means the same certain doctor will be there to help with that, and he’s determined to see Y/N again, but this time somewhere outside of the hospital without a broken bone or any other injury.
Tumblr media
Today is the day, people! Today is the day!
Not only do I finally get my cast off on this fine afternoon, but I get to see Dr. Carlisle Cullen once more. Oh, how my heart has been swooning over him since I left the hospital that first time! Sure it was only about a month and a half ago, but damn have I been utterly tempted to just ‘accidentally’ fracture my ankle, or maybe slip on those same demonic stairs again… definitely not on purpose though.
I feel like a high school student again, one that has a stupid, innocent crush on their teacher that they know nothing will ever come out of it. But, still, it’s fun to remember how a little infatuation feels.
It’s been too long since I’ve had someone — well, someone who’s actually real and not fictional — make me all giddy and giggly and shit. I think about him and start twirling my hair, kicking my feet, and biting my lip with a turn of excitement in the pit of my belly.
Do I know that nothing is gonna happen? Yes. Yes I do.
Am I still gonna pretend like that man is gonna be my future husband? Yes. Yes I am.
I was putting on my shoes when I took a quick look at the time. It was one o’clock. I still had another hour before I needed to be at the hospital. I wanted to try and pass the time so I wouldn’t be on the verge of throwing up from how nervous I was from seeing Dr. Cullen again. It’s all fun and games until you actually have to be next to the object of your affection in person.
“Let’s go bother Bella.” I whispered to myself while I got up from my seat and began putting on my coat by the entrance. Turning the knob, I walked out and closed the door behind me. I glanced at the cars in her driveway. Her truck was there, but another car that I didn’t recognize was too. “Edward.” I finally decided that’s who it was. It couldn’t be Charlie, he was at work.
I did end up meeting Edward a while ago, he’s a good guy, maybe a tad bit eccentric, but Bella really likes him so I guess I do as well.
I really like his dad, that’s for sure.
Making my way to the steps, I came to an abrupt stop as I remembered my previous accident with them. Inspecting the stairs for any unseen slippery ice, I had come to the conclusion that it should be safe.
“Yeah… fuck you.” I flipped off the step in particular that had tried to kill me. My feet made contact with the ground, and I let out a small breath of relief that I didn’t even know I was holding. Crossing my yard into Bella’s, I went to her front door and knocked with my good arm a couple of times. I waited a few with no answer, so I decided to repeat my actions. On my third knock, the door opened and Bella stood in front of me. I gave her a smile and a wave, and my eyes glanced past her to Edward. I saw that his hair was kind of a mess, and when I looked back at Bella, I noticed her shirt’s top buttons were undone.
My eyebrows raised a little, and my mouth formed an O shape before I started giggling like a little kid.
“I’m sorry, am I interrupting something?” My smile only grew bigger.
Bella’s eyes looked everywhere but me, her hand running through her hair and she kept it on the back of her head as she stuttered out, “N-no, no not at all. Come in.” She bit her lip as she stepped to the side for me to walk through.
I did, looking at Edward and the tiny grin on his features.
“You might have interrupted a little something.” He spoke, his gaze not leaving his flustered girlfriend, to which she gave him a very noticeable glare, almost as if telling him to shut up with her eyes.
“Aw darn it, my bad guys!” I apologized again. “I just wanted to pop in and say hello before I went to my appointment to get this son of a bitch off.” Pointing to my cast, I kept talking. “But I promise I’ll leave soon so you two can get back to your foreplay.”
My words only made Bella even more shy, but I did get a chuckle from Edward before he spoke up.
“Oh yeah, my dad can’t wait to see how it’s healed.”
All jokes about the happy couple immediately left my mind as images of Carlisle replaced them. I felt my face heat up at the thought of him somehow looking forward to our — professional — meeting today.
“Ah… what, he’s asked about me?” I tried to play off my butterflies.
“Every time Bella comes over.”
I looked at her, and she was nodding her head in agreement with her hands in her pant’s front pockets.
“…Which is all the time.” Edward finished.
I lightly coughed, trailing my finger along a dusted item to do anything with my hands except fiddle with them.
“Hm, good to know he cares about his patients.” I bit the inside of my cheek to keep from grinning ear to ear. “Makes me feel more comfortable in his care.”
“I don’t think it’s just that.” The pale boy voiced.
“Yeah, like… you’re the only patient he’s asked about so frequently like this… or ever.” Bella awkwardly stated.
I blinked.
“C’mon guys, it’s only because you two know me. He’s only being courteous, yeah?”
“No, I don’t think so.” She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. “I mean, do you know how many times Mike has hurt himself? We know him and Carlisle never asks about his injuries.”
“…Maybe he’s not very fond of Mike?” I was more so asking myself that in order to keep my composure. Sure, the idea of Carlisle actually being interested in me is absolutely exhilarating… however it’s quite terrifying in reality.
An older man who is the town’s favorite doctor and has kids that are very close to the age of my own? Given they’re adopted, but still.
How would society — the community — react to that?
Innocent flirting is always fun, but when there’s actual intentions behind it? I might need to rethink my feelings.
When neither of them answered, I took that as my sign to go ahead and get to the hospital and have this over with as quickly as I can.
“Alright, well, I’ve gotta get going, but I’ll let you guys know how it goes and what the verdict is.” I smiled. I gave Bella a small hug and waved bye to Edward before I saw myself out.
The chilly air hit my face like a brick, and I took a deep breath as I rubbed my hands together in an attempt to get them warm. I had grabbed my keys before I went next door, so I just walked to my car and got in. Starting it, I kept thinking about what they said about Carlisle. Needless to say, I’m about a hundred times more anxious than I was before, but I’m just gonna blame the coffee I had earlier for the upset stomach I was beginning to get.
My mind was racing as I drove to the hospital. I’m not gonna lie, I was driving like five miles below the speed limit. I was gonna be a little early anyway, so it’s okay. The fact that I was so excited to see his angelic face again when I thought there was no chance he would like me, but now that I know there might be a possible chance that he does I am dreading this interaction.
I can’t get too hopeful. Maybe he really is just a caring doctor who just so happens to be asking about me a lot more than his other patients. Yeah, that’s it.
When I pulled into the parking lot, I must have sat there for a good three minutes before finally getting out.
“Okie dokie. Let’s get this thing off… that’s what I’m here for… nothing else.”
I stepped inside and made my way to the front desk to a woman sitting behind the counter.
“Uh, hi! I have an appointment with Dr. Cullen for removing my cast.”
“Name please.” The woman didn’t even look at me.
“…Y/N L/N.”
“Have a seat and someone will call you to the back when it’s time.” Not even a glance my way.
“Um. Okay.”
I did as told and sat in one of the chairs, ignoring the fact that the lady could’ve been a little nicer or something, she could’ve at least made eye contact with me… but no need to dwell on that. If people wanna be negative there’s nothing I can do about it.
I heard the doors to the back open, and when I looked up I saw a nurse come out.
“L/N?”
Shit shit shit shit.
“Yup!” I got up.
“How are you today?” She asked, a smile on her face. Much different from the woman at the front.
“I’m good! I’ll be a lot better once this thing is off.”
“Oh, I bet! You’ll be walking out of here with a brand new arm!” She laughed. I followed her to the back and she had me sit down on the edge of one of the beds. “Alright, well Dr. Cullen will be with you in a moment.” And with that she was on her way.
All I could do is wait in anticipation now.
It’ll be a quick process, there’s nothing to worry about. Hell, maybe I’ll even throw in another wink when I leave like the last time.
Honestly? Maybe I’ll shoot my shot! There’s nothing to lose, and the age gap isn’t even that big…
I don’t think, anyway.
The curtain to my section was pulled shut, so when the light sound of footsteps could be heard getting closer to me I couldn’t help but adjust how I was sitting. I straightened my posture and fixed my hair even though it didn’t need fixing. I was expecting the curtain to open and Carlisle in all of his glory to step in with his pearly whites showing and that glint in his eyes, but when the footsteps got close enough to enter, they turned a corner and faded out.
I slouched back down in disappointment and relief. That was until the curtains suddenly got pulled back at the speed of fucking light. I jumped up, startled and a small gasp escaping my lips.
And of fucking course it was the one and only Carlisle Cullen.
“Fucking hell, fuck me— god damn you scared me!” I muttered the first part, my heart pounding and my blood rushing. He let out a hearty laugh, closing the hanging fabric again.
“Sure, if you’d like.” The words absentmindedly left his mouth. I was confused at first, until I had realized what he was replying to. The blood that was rushing from a sudden fright was now rushing due to his flustering response. He turned around to face me now, and he was just as gorgeous if not more than the last time I saw him. “How have you been?”
"Oh... um, I've been okay! Getting by as well as I can with this stupid thing." I said, lifting up the wrist I idiotically broke. "Hopefully the doc has some good news for me though."
"The doc is about to have a look..." Carlisle's features changed from amusement to concentration as his gaze traveled across my face, making his way down to what I thought would be my cast, but his attention passed my injury and kept lowering... and lowering... until he finally started to go upwards again.
Is it just me or is it getting hot in here? I felt the heat rise to my chest, neck, ears, literally everywhere as his eyes scaled my entire being. It felt like he was checking me out, not looking me over. Either way, it's getting a little hard to breathe.
"You look great... healthy."
Yeah, obviously. I only had a small concussion, a few scrapes on my arm, and this dumb ass fragile bone that snapped.
He has to be doing this on purpose.
"Thank y—...ou." My breathing completed haltered, my words coming to a stop followed by an embarrassing linger when his hand gently grasped my jaw, his thumb on my chin as he tilted my head side to side.
His touch was still as cold as I remembered, a strange yet comforting feeling.
Just as I thought he was done, his free hand found my forehead, his fingers brushing away the hair that rested there and his face getting closer to mine... to get a better look I'd assume.
I could feel his breath on my cheek, and I was wondering if he could hear how fast my heart was beating. When he finally backed away, a tiny cough that I couldn't hold escaped. God, I hope he doesn't ask why my face is so red, because the way I was feeling right now It couldn't be anything but.
His gaze held my own for a few seconds before he spoke.
"Well, it looks like your concussion is gone."
…Yeah, I figured.
"Now, let's get this ugly bastard off shall we?" Carlisle pulled up the rolling seat right in front of me and a cart with everything he needed was sat beside us in his reach. Without warning, he took ahold of my covered arm and adjusted it to his liking, propping it on the empty space on the top of the cart. He grabbed the saw tool that looked like it was meant to be a torture weapon in a horror movie and held it up. Looking at me with a sweet smile, he said, "Don't worry, the worst you'll feel is a tickle."
I nodded to tell him I understood, and he turned it on. He started cutting, and he was definitely right. I couldn't help the small giggles leaving my lips as the vibrations from the cast saw tickled my entire arm. Dr. Cullen grinned at my laughs, still concentrating on removing the plaster. Once he was done, he slowly removed it. I saw the inside and immediately cringed.
"That is so gross..." I muttered.
"I've seen worse." Carlisle stated. "Trust me... you've done pretty good taking care of it!" His cold touch gently held my wrist up and he started moving it. It felt weird, I knew it was just because I hadn't moved it in a while, but at least there was no pain. "There we go, back to normal!"
I slowly took over, and after inspecting it I had come to the conclusion that everything was fine.
"Yeah... I guess you're right." I jokingly tried to question his experience.
"You guess? I have a degree."
"Oh do you?"
It was silent for a few seconds, our eyes never breaking contact before the two of us broke out into a fit of laughs and chuckles. Our excitement died down, and I jumped up now that it was over with.
"Thank you, Carlisle! I'll try not to break any more bones for you." I grinned at him. He mimicked my features. Sadly, I was about to wish him a farewell, that is until he spoke before I got the chance to.
"There's something else you could do for me too, if you don't mind."
My brows raised just the slightest bit in curiosity.
"What's that?" I asked, expecting him to tell me to wrap myself in bubble wrap, or tell Bella he says hi, but both of those guesses were farther than far off.
"Go out with me?... Tonight?"
Oh, wow.
"I get off in a few hours, I'll pick you up. 6:30?" He continued, a hopeful glint in those beautiful fucking eyes of his.
"Um..." I started. My mind was jolting forward to things people might say, how they would view this, what would actually come out of this. So many things that I didn't need to worry about kept jumbling around in my head. But that's what they were, things I didn't need to worry about. "Yeah. Yeah!" My hesitancy dissipating as I realized the opportunity I had here. "Let me give you my address." I was beaming.
Carlisle's face lit up even more than mine. "No need! I know where Bella lives, so I know where you live."
Oh yeah, forgot about that.
I bit my lip in a silly attempt to stop smiling any wider than I already was before he had to stitch my mouth back to normal.
"Perfect!... I'll see you at 6:30, doc." I giddily waved goodbye as I exited the curtained room. I didn't give him a chance to say anything else, mainly because if I stayed there any longer I thought I would drop dead from excitement, anxiety, and how hot he was. At least there would have been a doctor in the room.
I guess Bella and Edward were right to think he might have liked me as more than a patient, but now I have to figure out what the heck I’m gonna wear tonight.
When I left the hospital and got inside of my car, I let out an ecstatic scream. As soon as I get home I have to tell Bella, and I was hoping Edward would be gone by now. I think it would be a little awkward having me excitedly ramble on about how Carlisle and I are going on a date when his son would be in the same room listening to how his dad asked me out.
Adoptive dad, but like I said, still.
Leaving the parking lot, I practically floored it back to the house. As I was pulling into my drive, I noticed both of the cars that were in front of Bella’s place were gone.
“They both left? In separate cars?” I was confused as hell, but who am I to question these things. Edward was a strange man… and so was his family, but I’m literally going on a date with his father so I can’t say anything. Maybe I can pinpoint just what makes them so… well, unique, tonight.
Before I got out of the vehicle, I looked at the time. A little after three. Okay, I have a bit over three hours to get ready, that’s plenty of time. Though, I do need to be ready earlier just in case, so maybe I have about two hours and a half.
I rushed inside of the house, slamming the door shut behind me and speed walking my way to the bathroom while simultaneously taking off pieces of my clothing so I could take a shower now that my cast was off. I tossed them on the floor as I went along, I'll pick them up later.
What if he wants to come inside afterwards... or before? I also have to clean and make sure everything looks nice in here too, because that is a possibility.
Oh god... what if...
What if he wants to come inside, if you catch my drift.
Whatever, we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
If we get there.
Once again, my mind was going over a billion scenarios that could happen tonight. I definitely wasn't doing any favors by easing my anxiety.
Before I knew it, time flew by and the last thing I needed to do was pick an outfit. I had straightened up my place enough to where it would look good but not like I was doing too much. My hair was nice, and I touched up any blemishes that might could be seen. Now, the wow factor. The clothes.
I needed to figure out whether I was going for more casual, fancy, comfy, or something else. I could do a mixture? I'm not sure what to expect from this, where we're going and all of that.
That's why I settled for something casual, but a nice casual, so it would be alright for any occasion that wasn't the red carpet or an award winning program.
By the time I got done, it was seventeen minutes before 6:30. To say I was nervous was an understatement, but I was excited too. I was practically walking around in circles pacing all over the place waiting for a knock on the door or the bell to ring. I didn't wanna sit down because I would could wrinkle my outfit, and the moment I sat down would probably be the moment he arrived. I walked to the kitchen and fixed myself a glass of ice water to help ease my nerves. The chill ran down my throat to my spine, and I let out deep breathe through my nose. I stared at the rim of the glass and the ice floating around in the water before taking another sip.
When I did that, the sound of a few thumps from the door came and I jumped. The water I was swallowing in the process shifted the wrong way, and I was met with a fit of coughs from the sudden startle. I was trying to hold them in, and I took another quick sip to chase it.
I'm just glad Carlisle didn't have some kind super hearing to understand what just happened to me from across the threshold, how embarrassing would that be if he heard?
I jogged to the door and stood there for a few seconds to regain any composure I had lost. With a little pat on the back, I opened it.
Carlisle stood on the other side with a smile on his face and one hand behind his back. I hadn't seen him in anything but his scrubs and coat before, so when I saw him dressed in a button down and slacks I couldn't help but stare.
"You look good too." He spoke, breaking me from my trance.
"Oh, gosh, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to-"
"No need to apologize! Why wouldn't I want to get ogled by someone as beautiful as you?" He pulled his hand out from behind his back to reveal a spectacular bouquet of flowers. "They reminded me of you." He handed them to me with my mouth dropped in surprise.
Talk about old fashioned romance. I'm drooling for this man.
I sniffed them, and of course they smelled absolutely delightful.
"Thank you, Carlisle! They're gorgeous!" I beamed, trying to identify what kind each flower was since it was an assorted bouquet. He pointed to one that was drooping, the only one that was drooping for a matter of fact.
"I got this one specifically, because it had the stooping flower. I thought it could represent your broken wrist."
That drew out a hearty chortle from me.
"I love them, thank you!" I went back inside and left the door open to put these in a vase before we left. "You're welcome to come inside if you'd like, but I'll just be a jiffy!"
He decided to wait right there as I continued to situate the flowers. When I was done, I put them on the kitchen table and hurried back to him. I stepped outside and closed the door behind me, locking it.
"So what do you have planned, doc?" We walked to his car parked on he side of the road in front of the driveway.
"Come on now, what fun is it if I tell you?" He picked up his pace to open the passenger side door for me. I giggled, thanking him in the process.
"Such a gentleman." I said, getting in the seat. I looked at him as I grabbed the seatbelt. He had one hand on the top of the door and the other holding himself up on the side of the car. Then, he winked at me as he pushed it shut. I watched as he walked around the car to the drivers side and got in. "And I thought chivalry was dead."
"...In a way." He muttered, but I couldn't tell what he said.
"Huh?"
"Nothing." He smiled at me as he started the ignition and drove. I didn't think anything of it.
"I'm really excited for tonight, ya know." I spoke. "If I'm being honest, I've had a small crush on you since you put my cast on."
"I know." Carlisle glanced at me and grinned.
"Wait, what? How?"
"Just had a feeling." He replied. "And I'm glad I was right, because I've had a big crush on you ever since I put your cast on."
I knew we were going on a date right now, and he's the one who asked me out, but hearing him say that he's liked me the same time I've liked him is just mind boggling to me. We talked for a bit more before we made it into downtown, and he parked.
"Okay, it's a downtown date?" I looked around from the window. There were tea lights in the trees which lit up the night sky, it was a really pretty sight, one of the reasons I loved going downtown at this time.
"I hope that's okay, I'd love to spoil you tonight. Every night, if you'd let me."
Swoon.
Carlisle didn't give me a chance to answer, he exited the car and went to my side to let me out. He held out his hand once he opened the door, and I took it immediately.
"If this is how you treat your potential lovers, I don't think I'll ever want to leave your side." I joked. He gently pulled to help me stand, and when I stood up from getting out, the proximity of our bodies were a lot closer than I had anticipated.
"That's the plan." He whispered, but we were so close I heard it loud and clear. Our eyes met, and I looked for anything that indicated any sort of distrust in his gaze, but all I saw was longing and affection. I felt myself starting to get flustered, so I broke contact and stepped back, thankful that the air was chilly enough to cool down any heat I started to feel from him.
"Where should we go first?" I changed the subject, looking at all of the different shops in both directions. Stepping on the sidewalk, Carlisle followed me.
"Wherever you want to go." He suggested.
"Well I don't want to go into a store that you'd rather not go in." I started, but in response he started to laugh.
"Thank you, but if you're happy, I'm happy. Wherever you'd like to go, I'd like to go."
"...You're too sweet." I looked at him. Without asking, I took his arm in mine and held it with my hands while I guided him down the walkway. "What about the bookstore first?"
"That sounds lovely."
We entered the shop, and the atmosphere was cozy and warm. There were chairs at the front to sit and read, the lights glowed an amber hue, and the smell was a nice mixture of oakwood and new and old books alike. The man at the counter greeted us, to which we waved and smiled back. I walked to my favorite section with Carlisle beside me and started browsing.
"What's your favorite genre?" I asked, stopping my search to turn my attention to him.
"I'm fond of historical nonfiction."
"Oh, really? I would have assumed medical books are your forte... like stuff on anatomy. Or maybe romance."
"Why would I read about anatomy when I could study yours?"
I was not expecting those words to leave his mouth. My brows raised in shock and I quickly turned my face back to the stories I was looking at so he wouldn't see the intense blush starting to show. I wasn't quite sure what to say, until one book caught my eye and I pulled it off the shelf.
"Ooo! What's this?" I read the title. "Eternity's Love... interesting." I was skimming over the back to see what it was about. "Listen to this! It's a paranormal romance about a vampire and a human... I do love me some vampires."
“Oh? Why?”
“Hm, they’re mysterious and hot.”
“They drink blood.”
“…To each their own.”
I put the book back and made my way down the isle, not seeing the tiny smirk on Carlisle’s face. We ended up staying in the store for another fifteen minutes, and after he made me pick out something to get when I was reluctant to have him pay — which he still did — we went to our next spot, the antique store.
There were a lot of little trinkets I was excited to look at, and if I weren’t mistaken, it seemed like Carlisle was more excited to look at me rather than the objects displayed in front of us. I picked up a few things throughout the store, inspecting them and placing them back in their rightful spots. I would practically point to almost anything I found and say, “Carlisle, look!” to which he would continue to explain what it was, which time period it was from, and what it was used for, almost as if he’s lived through them before and used those very items.
“This is beautiful.” I gasped, gently grabbing an old music box with the handle on the side to wind. I turned it, and although it was a bit scratchy due to its age, the music began to play and it was gorgeous. I didn’t know what the melody was, but it was soft and romantic. “I wonder what the story behind this one is.”
Carlisle looked at me while I went on.
“Maybe a courageous sailor gave it to his weeping lover right before he went to sea. Or maybe it was a gift to a little child from their parents, or an heirloom of some sorts. So many different possibilities, and somehow it ended up here, in my hands right now.”
“Regardless the story, now it’s your turn to make your own with it.” He spoke, taking it from my hands and walking to the register.
“…I could’ve payed.” I said to myself underneath my breath, he was already ringing it up and wrapping it before I went over there. “Let me buy you something.” I told him as we grabbed the bag and exited the shop. The chill from the air hit my face, and I subconsciously — well, maybe consciously — moved closer to him.
“You being with me tonight is enough already.” He smiled, taking my hand in his. His touch was still ice cold, but I blamed it on the weather outside. I felt bad that he was spending his money on me, but when I saw the sign for the coffee shop I lit up.
“I’ll buy us coffee! Or whatever you prefer! It’ll warm us up.” Beaming, I pulled him inside before he could resist. We were instantly met with the wonderful aromas of coffee, tea, spices, and everything else so great about a coffee shop.
There was another couple ordering in front of us, so we stood off to the side to look at the chalkboard of flavors hanging on the wall.
“Thank you, Y/N, but I don’t drink coffee… or tea.”
“I can buy you hot chocolate?”
“I’m okay, really, thank you for the offer.”
“…What do you drink then?”
He stared off to the side to think before bursting out into a mischievous grin, saying, “Blood red wine.”
I giggled with a roll of my eyes.
“Are you sure you don’t want anything?” I asked again, stepping to order now that the other couple had just left. He nodded his head, and with a disappointed sigh I told the boy at the register what I’d like. I decided to get a honey lavender chai tea latte. He rang it up and told me my total, but when I was getting out my card, Carlisle had already handed him his.
“Carlisle!” I protested.
“It’s only right that I pay for yours since I’m not getting anything.”
I furrowed my brows in genuine annoyance, which he definitely saw.
“Hey! I’ll let you buy me something on our next date.” He took his card back.
“So you wanna go on another date?” I perked up, and we waited for my drink to be made.
“Of course I do.”
His words caused me to break out into a shy smile, and I bit my lip in an attempt to keep it from growing bigger.
Once I was handed my latte, we left the store and walked to a bench close to the car. I sat down next to Carlisle and started sipping, the hot liquid traveling down my throat and immediately warming me up. I was staring off at the other side of the street at the lights in the trees, but from the corner of my eye I saw Carlisle staring at me.
“It’s really pretty, isn’t it?” I turned my head to him. The side of his face glowed a golden hue from the lights, and his eyes twinkled while his gaze met mine. He truly looked angelic.
“Yeah, it is.” He replied.
I had a feeling he was talking about something else.
We stayed there for a bit until the wind picked up and my cup was empty. I threw it away and we got in the car to leave, but of course he opened the door for me again. We talked about a lot of things on the drive back, and when he pulled into my driveway I couldn’t help but think about how I really didn’t want this night to end.
“Gosh, I don’t even wanna get out of the car.” I let out a chuckle.
“You know you don’t have to.” He stated. I looked at the time, and saw that it was 8:30. I had work in the morning, and so did he.
I sighed, taking a few seconds to think before I finally unbuckled and quickly opened the door to leave with my bags with the stuff he got for me. Carlisle followed, upset that I opened my own door.
“I was supposed to do that!”
I laughed, getting my keys out and stopping in front of my door with Carlisle beside me. I turned to him, a small smile on my features.
“I had a really nice time tonight.” I said to him.
“Yeah, me too.” He replied. “I’m thinking we do this again… say, in about—…” He glanced at his watch. “Ten minutes?”
“Oh yeah, okay.” I giggled at his joke. He was looking at me with something in his eyes that I couldn’t quite catch, but it was enough to send butterflies to my stomach. “Well, I—…” My voice trailed off when I saw him lean in and felt his lips on my forehead, my face now adorned with a blush. When I thought that was it, he moved down to the tip of my nose and placed a light kiss on top of it. The lower he got, the faster my heart was beating. His lips were finally in front of my own, and his eyes were on mine. We were so close, he was hovering in front of me, waiting, almost as if searching for consent. I gave a slight nod, and felt his lips gently press against mine.
My eyes closed, and hopefully his did too. I leaned into the kiss, and was happy when he did the same. Both of his hands cupped my face, and I felt my stomach twist with excitement. It was sweet, romantic, but unfortunately it was short. He pulled away and rested his forehead on mine.
“Ya know, you’re welcome to come in. I can make us some popcorn and we can watch a movie.” I whispered, my eyes fluttering open again. To my dismay, he moved completely now and stepped back.
“I would love to, but I think you need to rest.”
As if he willed it, a yawn was conjured and my mouth stretched open to let it out.
“…Maybe you’re right.” I frowned. He took my keys from my hand and unlocked the door for me before opening it. I walked past him inside, and then turned to him again. “Let me know when you get home?”
“Of course.” He gave me another kiss on the forehead, then started walking back to his car. When he was to the driver’s side, he stopped and looked at me. “Get some sleep. Doctor’s orders!”
I grinned, nodding my head with a wave of my hand as I shut the door and locked it. I turned around and pressed my back against the wood, and I heard his car turn on and him leaving. I couldn’t believe the events that had just unfolded, I was smiling like a freak, all giddy. I was still against the door when I suddenly heard the house phone ringing. I hurried to pick it up and answered it, but before I could even say hello, Bella’s voice spoke from the other line.
“Am I mistaken, or… did I just see Carlisle leaving your house?”
“Bella, hey!”
I was beaming as I replayed the events that happened in the last couple of hours in my mind. It looks like I had a long story to tell before I could follow the doctor’s orders tonight.

I hope it’s alright that I tag the people who asked for a pt. 2 in the comments of the first part!

OH. MY. GOSH??!!! I was fully just sharing some thoughts and you just took it and ran lol. Absolutely blew it out of the water <33.
In honor of this amaaaazing fic, have a collection of my fav parts:
○ nor was it due to the fact that he wouldn’t likely tell you “no,” should you ask to enjoy an embrace with him.
● ok, but just imagine asking him for the first time? Knowing he needs it but beeing too proud to ask for himself. Only caving because he's down bad (down horrendous, even) and can't say no to you.
○ he would constantly fall by your side and sleep within your shadow.
● The secret 6th love language, using eachother as pillows
○ You were ships counselor, it was your job to be privy to the thoughts of your captain and crew
● This made me think of school counselors and now I'm thinking of a one piece teachers au. Gym coach Zoro, econ teacher Nami, culinary teacher Zeff and TA Sanji, school nurse Law. The list goes on.
○ He gently reaches his hand down and takes your cheek in the palm of his hand. Running his thumb over the apple of your cheek, his expression softens further.
● hnnnnnnnghhh
○ he moved his hand to the back of your head, running his fingers through your hair and smiling softly.
● ok now I need to touch his hair too. Community Debate: is Zoro's hair soft?
○ I need someone in my arms at all times. I am a sucker for comfort, and I need to cradle someone
● Me too, Zoro. Me too.
○ Zoro, do you know anything about a country called ‘Wano’?
● 😱 😶 💀
○ you enjoy nuzzling into his chest and you press a soft kiss against the indent of Mihawk’s stab-wound over the swordsman’s heart.
● Zoro in his sleep wondering why his heart just started beating faster
○ Dinner, moss-head! Get your idiot-ass down here and eat!
● Lmaooo he so would
-♡♡ lots of love

Hey, hey now. You were the one who was like: "Snail, have some thoughts". My hands were bound, and your prompt was so, so beautiful.
Oh my gosh, your commentary. I am so here for it, and I love it.
A strawhat-teaching au? Here are my thoughts:
Luffy: Principal (the fun-kind that lets his vice-principal do all the work)
Nami: Vice Principal and business management teacher.
Zoro: Gym coach
Sanji: culinary teacher and runs the canteen.
Usopp: literature and creative writing
Chopper: nurse
Robin: history and philosophy teacher
Brook: music teacher
Franky: woodwork and computer science
Literally laughing at the concept, it's funny as. And asking Zoro to cuddle for the first time 👀👀. I should do another fic 💀.
Is Zoro's hair soft? I think if he bathes, absolutely. It's spectacularly fluffy and soft. For every day? It's greasy and prickly.
I'm glad you enjoyed your One-Shot. It was really fun to write. Needed to give the stinky man kisses.

Event Translation - Spotlight ~St Flora Side~ (Part 2)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Muku: It's almost time for the lessons to start. I'm getting a bit nervous…
Yuki: They're called "special lessons", but really, it's just practice. You'll be fine.
Plus, our tutor is…
*door opens*
Music Teacher: Ah, it looks like everyone's here.
I believe you've already been told, but we've invited a tutor for the special lessons this year.
Homare: Greetings, dear students. I am an alumni of this school who shall be your special tutor for the Chorus Contest, Arisugawa Homare.
I'm glad to be working with you from today on!
Muku: So it really is just like he said this morning.
Yuki: Not wearing the uniform though, of course.
Homare: In my middle school years, I led the Chorus Club to national victory, and was known as "The Boy Loved by God."
That's why you have nothing to worry about - just follow my lead!
Student A: This guy's sure got a lot of presence, huh… But he seems like he might be reliable.
Student B: I know him! That's the poet Arisugawa Homare-sensei! To be taught by Arisugawa-sensei… wow!
Student C: Oh, I've heard about "The Boy Loved by God" from the guys in the Chorus Club before!
Yuki: It's suddenly all noisy…
Muku: These lessons really are going to be fun.
Tumblr media
Muku: Thanks for teaching us today, Alice-san! I learned a lot.
Yuki: The lesson was more proper than I thought it'd be.
Homare: Thank you. I felt as though I'd gone back to being a student myself, it was very enjoyable.
…I know. You two, would you mind accompanying me for a bit, if you have the time?
Yuki: Do you want to continue practicing at home?
Muku: You mean, like some secret special training…!?
Homare: I see, special training does sound fun as well.
However, I was referring to what students do on their way home… That is, taking a detour!
As such, I would now like to recommend a cafe to you both.
Tumblr media
Yuki: Muku, this chocolate cake here looks good.
Muku: Yeah, it looks super cute and tasty…!
Homare: I'll be having the carrot cake set. Hm, and what drink should I get?
Yuki: I'll have this, then.
Muku: I'll go with this.
Homare: Understood, I'll order right away.
Tumblr media
Homare: …Once again. Thank you both very much for accompanying me today.
Muku: Thank you as well, I'm really happy you invited us!
Yuki: Well, I was hungry anyway.
Homare: That's good, then.
Now, as fellow students of St Flora, let us talk to our heart's content about the memories of our youth!
Yuki: Uh, you're not a student anymore.
Muku: Um… In that case, can I ask you something, Alice-san?
Homare: Oh my, what exactly?
Muku: How did you find the Chorus Contests when you were in school?
Yuki: Good question. I might be a bit curious too, it sounds like you were really active in the Chorus Club.
Homare: …
Muku: Alice-san…? Did I ask something weird?
Homare: No, I was simply thinking back to that time.
Right, my memories of the Chorus Contest…
Employee: Thank you for waiting. Here are your cake sets.
Homare: Ah, thank you.
Before I speak of my memories, shall we enjoy our tea first? We wouldn't want it getting cold now.

i've been rereading weak hero season 2 since the latest chapter dropped and i have some things to say about donald
spoilers under the cut
okay first of all i am so fucking pissed at seopass😭😭i can't really say much about the storytelling aspect of choosing to allow donald to die but honestly it does feel very sudden and just unfair to his character. perhaps the suddenness is my reaction because all this time it seemed like he just couldn't die, then he had had the whole arc in the final battle where we finally see a vulnerable side of him and get his full backstory, then all of a sudden he dies?? it just feels so incomplete, like the build up was for nothing🙁🙁🙁.
second of all, i'm only realising just how sad his backstory is now that i'm rereading it.
it's not just about his mother being ill, his father being abusive, and being bullied in school but also the loss of innocence in young donald. at first he was so sweet and cute, but by the time he's thirteen, he's also got a whole baby gang going, beating people up and even doing breaking and entering in one instance, taking his step father's money. then he exposes the dirt on his ex teacher and had myles joo and his boys beat him up, and smash his car outside of the school.
Tumblr media
it also reminds me of how much donald has grown- now he would never b&e or smash an adult's car so recklessly (though ofc he did it originally knowing he couldn't get the police called on him). though still heavily involved with delinquents, violence and crime, his methods have refined as he grew, and you can see him become more calculated and less uncouth. despite the maturity of his actions at 13, in a way they're still childish, and it's a reminder that even if he's acting tough he's still a baby🙁🙁
while i was glad to watch those people get their comeuppance, i honestly felt so heartbroken watching their callous and flippant nature to crime. like, he literally has a baby face!!! he's like 5'0!!! and he's here stomping people in alleyways and committing burglary?!!! it reminded me of kaz brekker from SOC for some reason, who was innocent and naive till he had to grow up at 12 or 13 and started hustling people in gambling dens and getting in trouble with the law.
it hurts to watch how cruelly he was treated by his teachers and his schoolmates because of his poverty, and how no one did anything about it because it was just normal to them that in a school full of rich kids, it was just a given that donald was considered less than trash. then at night he was kicked out by his step father so he could cheat and drink and he had to wander around yeongdeungpo all on his own in the cold, hungry, and huddle under an apartment block?? ARE YOU JOKING😭😭
he changed so much due to the circumstances of his situation and he grew into something no one should ever have to. he isn't just strong and smart and always five steps ahead becaude of his natural talent (though that definitely helped), but because he had to be. doing badly has never been a choice for him. he needs it to survive. i've always liked donald, and i've always suspected this about his character, but hearing it be confirmed just makes me like him more.
it's so sad realising how everything about him was manufactured to fit his image- his piercings, his hair, his clothes, his tattoos, his image, the way he talks- he didn't even LIKE any of them, but they just became a part of who he was nevertheless. thinking about the way he found his tattoos repulsive when they were all over his body, and were the first things he saw whenever he looked in the mirror must've been so painful to him. but he probably thought being affected by it made him weak so🙁.
and finally, the end where it shows his attachment and love for his inner child who was never loved or taken care by anybody and had to fend for his own. the image of the older donald, covered in tattoos taking care of his small, crying younger self is so powerful😭😭like look at this i wanna kms
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i wonder in another life how donald na would turn out if none of these things happened to him🙁🙁he wanted to be a NASA engineer you know🙁🙁🙁😭😭😭he had his own dreams
Tumblr media
other things that i noted were that donald actually changes in public a lot. like seriously a lot....first on the rooftop then in the library, like this guy was just stripping at every opportunity.
and also that him not inviting gilshin and jimmy bae into the union was done on purpose as a technique to make them more willing to join? what?? that's so smart😭😭
i also found out this way that myles was a member of the union before it was even called the union?? like they rode together for three years and donald still beat his ass like damn! he is unsentimental.
i'm going to write something about the funeral chapter but that deserves its own post

Hi there could you do one with Kurama and the reader is sick and he finds out and he takes cares them.
Hello! Thank you for requesting!
I hope this is of your liking, please let me know what you think!
Tsuki's note: may or may not be based on my personal experience with a high fever and confusing.
----------------------------------------------
You were feeling a bit hot, but you were still functioning. You were doing your regular tasks: studying, going to school, worrying about the boys, you know, daily things.
You were in the class as Kurama, but you didn't interact often - the girls were very very scary when jealous, so you kept your distance.
Today you felt his stare in the back of your head quite often, but as mentioned above you avoided eye contact. At some point, the teacher asked you to take some papers to the teacher's room and to your surprise, Kurama volunteered to tag along.
Now you two had some time. Kurama, started small talk asking how were you, if you were feeling something and all that. You denied feeling anything, but that is when he stopped in the middle of the hallway, fixing his papers under one arm he placed one hand on the back of your neck and that flustered you:
Y/N: Kurama?!
Kurama: I have told you to not call me that here. You are burning!
He leaned near you, nose almost touching:
Y/N: I- I, uh…
Kurama: You have a fever.
You blinked. A fever?
Y/N: But I don't feel bad…
Kurama: You should rest. Leave these to me and wait outside the room.
Y/N: But I can help!
Kurama didn't even consider your words, he took your pile and walked away. You were left standing there, curiosity took the best of you and you reached to your neck, it was really hot.
Maybe you did have a fever.
While you pondered about that Kurama came back and dragged you to ask the nurse office so you could go home.
Before you were sent home he mentioned he was going to give you some medicine later.
You went home and weren't feeling bad. Yet. As time passed by you felt worse and worse, to the point of being confused, not knowing where you were or who was talking to you.
By the time Kurama got around to meet you, you had an insanely high fever.
He helped you sit down to take the medicine he made for you and he also helped you drink more water and wipe the sweat away.
While tending to you, Kurama had a soft and sweet voice. He didn't say I told you so or anything of the sort, all he said was a few encouraging and reassuring words to you.
You eventually fell asleep. When you woke up again it was morning, you felt your head clearer.
You looked around the room to find on your nightstand a small glass with water inside and a few roses. Next to it you had a liquid in a small bottle and a letter under it. The letter was an instruction on how to take the medicine.
It took you a while to recognize the handwriting - it was Kurama's. You smiled to yourself, it was very sweet he left the roses for you.
Your head still aches a lot, but that little gesture made your day a little better.
You took the medicine as instructed and took a nap too. Next time you woke up, you could feel a hand gently nudging you and a sweet voice calling out your name.
When you opened your eyes you saw Kurama. He smiled at you and you felt your cheeks burn:
Kurama: Well, Y/N, you seem better. Your fever seems to have lowered.
You shyly smiled. He was so close to you, expression so sweet with a gentle smile of his own.
You sat on your bed and suddenly you got terribly shy about your bed hair and your pajamas:
Y/n: I… I am feeling better ! Yeah…
Kurama: Glad to hear that.
You nervously tucked a strand of hair behind your ear:
Y/N: T-thanks. Thank you for taking care of me…
Kurama smiled and patted your head:
Kurama: You are welcome. You need to be more careful, though. A high fever like that is extremely serious.
Y/N: I know… but I didn't feel ill or anything! Maybe a little hot.
He raised an eyebrow and seemed to ponder for a bit:
Kurama: Y/N?
Y/N: Yes?
Kurama: Next time you feel off, please let me know. I promise I won't poison you.
You rolled your eyes:
Y/N: I … I just don't want to bother you, besides I-
Kurama: You are not a bother. Let me know if you feel ill again. I will take care of you.
You felt your face burn again. You just shyly nodded at him, at this point you were considering if he was doing this on purpose.
He giggled:
Kurama: You are so cute Y/N.
Ah, there it is. He is teasing you:
Y/N: It's not good to stress the sick you know?
He laughed a bit. He patted your head and proceeded to change the flowers on the glass next to you.
You smiled to yourself. Kurama probably wouldn't be back to visit now that you were better. Or so you thought.
He still visited you until you got 100% again and did little checks at school. Most of the time you didn't even notice he was checking to see if you were OK.
He cared for you a lot and that didn't go unnoticed by you or by Yusuke on that end. But somehow, Kurama never seemed bothered with Yusuke's attempts of flusttering him. Actually, he usually turned it around making Yusuke uncomfortable about something.
You just giggled at that. You couldn't help but wonder how much he really cares about you.
---------------------------------------------
Thank you for reading! I feel like this is awfully ooc!
But thanks anyway!

Guess who just came back drained of all energy because she spent the day contradicting stupid b*tards. And then they ask me: "why do you look so tired all the time?". Well what can I say? "I'm sorry, putting up with humanity's hate and evil is really taking a lot out of me." I mean, I know it would be much less emotionally draining to just ignore them and not lead an argument but I had to say SOMETHING!
Like I'm French and I have to hear all day other students laughing RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME at how disgusting and arrogant french people are. And when I confront them it's "oh come onnnnn... It's true and you know it. You should be glad we accept YOU, because you're not like them, you're nice" EXCUSE ME?! I should be feeling grateful that you "FORGIVE" me for being french?! You're knowledge of french people goes down to having travelled to Paris for holidays 3 weeks in your life, but you let that define a whole nation?! And no one supports me. I am the only french native in the international high school so I have no support. They think it's normal. Worse they think it's JUSTIFIED.
And then during English lesson we were talking about prejudices and the danger of a single story. We were debating in groups and I thought (oh how naively) it would be a good idea to lead the debate towards furries because of the unjustified hate and prejudices they receive at the moment... Welp...
So a guy started saying furries are mentally unstable (which is a prejudice and not true in any way, not that I have anything against people struggling with mental issues ofc), and they think they're animals (techniqually that's therians than furries, but therians know they are humans though, they just don't completely feel human), and then he said we (who the heck is "we", I certainly do not relate to you in any way) should hunt them down like animals, since they identify as such. (WHAT WHAT WHAT WHAT THE F*CK)
And then before I could say anything the teacher asked our group: "so what did you learn about the danger of a single story (name). And the guy turns around. And says to the whole class, looking the teacher in the eyes: "Well sir, I believe the most important thing is to not dehumanise people because of our personal bias. As it is unfair and will inevitably lead to hate and violence." (he didn't say it that well as that dumbass has no vocabulary whatsoever, I wrote it in a way you can understand better).
......
see what I mean?
So of course I had to say something. And I don't regret anything. The good thing with being neurodivergent is that in moment like these my immense sense of justice makes up for my social awkwardness and I don't stutter or can't make eye contact anymore. I wish I could talk more about the heated debate that followed, but writing this has definetly drained me of whatever energy I had left and I can't go on.
I know I'm ranting and venting and I'm sorry, but honestly..... humanity sometimes....

AITA for refusing to give up on my friend?
Hi! I (13M) have this really cool friend group. Or at least… I did. The other members were F (13F) and K (13M), and we were super super close. We met at our middle school.
But… we’re not normal middle schoolers. I was the first one to find out. I’m actually the reincarnation of a super cool super-powered alien (who was not actually an alien, but it’s more fun to describe it that way) who died 15 years ago.
I know I’m him, btw. I’m not just making it up. Dude was a super big public figure, and I have tons of his memories. My teacher (who was one of his students at one point) (30m) even agrees with me. He thinks I’m the real deal.
F is the reincarnation of someone, too. Specifically, someone I knew in my past life. In our past lives she was a normal, albeit REALLY NICE person who inspired me a lot… someone who I accidentally got killed. I was heartbroken when I remembered how she died and super stoked when F told me she was her. That’s not why we became friends, of course— F has always been my ride or die, but I was so, so happy my dear friend had been alongside me all this time.
But while on the topic of how F… died in our past lives, I should probably mention what my job was before I was an alien.
I was a serial killer. I called myself an assassin, but that’s giving myself too much credit, really. Ultimately, I was just a murderer— and an INFAMOUS one, too. I had a kill count in the thousands. I was an honest-to-god no good, selfish, terrible guy. It makes me feel sick to even think about.
I even had an apprentice in killing, and one I treated like garbage. I stole him away from his bad family and instead of showing him love only showed him more hatred. I treated that boy like trash.
The only reason I stopped being a serial killer is that he handed me over to authorities. And authorities… well, for reasons I still don’t really understand, they handed me over to this… guy. I’ll call him Y. Y was a no-good, rotten, nasty piece of work. Every bit as bad as I was… and that’s saying a lot! He instantly began to perform extremely painful human experiments on me, doing so with the excuse that no one would miss me.
But it wasn’t all bad. In Y’s custody is where I met F in our past lives. She was working for him. And he treated her like garbage, too. He’d hit her and call her names and make her feel so unsafe. She was miserable when she was around him.
I… tried my best to help, but there’s not a lot I could do from behind a glass screen. Still, I came to empathize with F, and it was actually becoming her friend that made me want to give up killing.
Eventually, I escaped Y’s lab, but at a terrible cost. I turned into a alien monster and went on a horrific rampage— killing tons of people. And even worse, F got killed, too. Like I said: it was an accident, a result of a trap that Y set up, but at the same time it really, REALLY felt like my fault. I hated myself. Both in that life and now when I learned about it.
Still, I lived an okay life after that. I ended up taking in some students that F originally cared for and nurtured them. And I treated them right, unlike I treated my original apprentice. Because of them and F, I learned to love. Eventually, I died, but only after sending Y into hospice and getting to say goodbye to my beloved kids.
I was content with that.
But... here I am now.
Originally, I didn't remember all of this. I just remembered being a cool superpowered guy. Learning how messed up all of it was really, REALLY scared me. I was glad when I learned that F was... well, F, so I could apologize to her, but that didn't fix everything. After all, there were still so many people I hurt. I felt like an awful person who didn't deserve to be alive. My friends and family tried to comfort me, but it was... really hard, for a time.
And even worse than that, soon after, K started drifting away from me.
I know I haven't talked about K much, so let me describe him a little. He's a real stand-up guy. A little cowardly... but he has a big heart. He was always-- and I mean ALWAYS there for me and F, even as we learned all the weird stuff about our past lives. He's funny and sweet and supportive. The kind of person I'd do anything for. I really, really loved him, and so did F.
So... things were stressful when he started to pull away. He stopped hanging out with us. Kept giving us the cold shoulder. I didn't understand why. I thought maybe it was because he was scared of me now, but that wasn't fair to F. I confronted him and told him that if I was a bad person then F shouldn't have to suffer for it. That he was really important to her, and he should keep being her friend, at least!
But that's when K told me something, and it was something I NEVER expected to hear.
...K was Y.
He told me he just remembered recently. That he really didn't know. He broke down in tears, telling me that that's why he pulled away. He remembered abusing the two of us and felt like he no longer deserved to our friend. It was well and truly heartbreaking to hear.
Because... here's the thing. I hate Y. Like really, REALLY hate Y, but K is nothing like him. K is one of the best people I know. He's never treated me like anything less than a superhero. He wouldn't hurt a fly.
I told him it was alright. I told him I didn't care. I told him that the past was the past and that Y was dead now and he was someone new. He was shocked, but I really, really believed it. And for the first time, in saying so, I actually felt alright about myself. I realized that if K wasn't responsible for his actions in a past life-- if he never asked to be born, then neither did I. I realized that if I didn't hate him, then maybe... I didn't have to hate myself.
I gave him a BIG hug and told him we could go back to being friends. I told him it didn't matter. And I thought everything would be alright.
But K... also wanted to tell F the truth.
I get why he did. He kept saying she deserved to know. But at the same time, F is a pretty... standoffish person. She's not like she used to be-- all kind and forgiving. It took me a very long time to befriend her. She gets angry easily and she makes a lot of snap judgements. I was so certain she'd get upset with K.
And F... really needed me and K, I think. She had a bad life. Her parents weren't at all nice to her and she had a lot of self esteem issues. K and I were the only friends she had. I knew that if she ditched K, then she wouldn't have anyone. No-one would be there to support her.
And I'd be asked to take sides. How could I possibly do something like that?
So I convinced K to hide it. I told him that he was a new person now and F didn't need to know. All telling her would do is break her heart. I didn't want to hurt her like that.
And so for a while, the secret remained between us.
But then something really bad happened to K's family. I won't go into details, 'cause I'm not sure it's my place, but it was something truly awful. He nearly lost a parent, and even worse... he was convinced it was his fault. He CERTAIN that the universe was punishing him in some way for being Y, or at the very least, for not telling F about it, and that if he didn't spill the beans then even worse stuff would happen.
...So he did. He told her.
And F reacted just like I thought she would. Angry and crying, she said she couldn't believe she ever trusted him. She accused him of just pretending to not know... and manipulating her so he could hurt her. She was pissed. She punched K in the face and told him she never wanted to see him again.
I tried to reason with her, but she wouldn't hear me out. And when she learned I knew about this before she did... that I suggested hiding it from her, she got even more upset. She told me that I was taking her abuser's side over her-- someone that I'd been friends with for two lifetimes now, and that she never wanted to see me again, either. She called me a selfish jerk and ran off sobbing.
And... that's where things are at. Our little friend group's torn apart. I really want to fix things, but I don't even know where to start. Did I do the wrong thing? By taking K's side? By telling him to hide the truth? I just wanted to protect he and F... I really love them both. But now I'm being expected to choose, and I hate that.
Even K thinks I made the wrong call. That I shouldn't have told him to hide it and that F had every right to react how she did. But at the same time... I just feel so sick. I know he's better now. He's my friend. He has to be better. If he's not, then I'm not. I'm just a no-good killer. Why can't F just see that? Remember all the nice stuff K's done for her?
What do I do? How do I repair things? I feel like if I were still the guy I was in my past life then I'd know how to. But instead, I'm clueless. I feel lost and useless. I'm really, really sorry and afraid.
AITA?

Rindou’s POV:
I have no idea why I decided to come to school, I am already irritated and tired. I probably missed nothing anyway, but then again, Ran is home. He is annoying so at least I get peace of mind away from him I guess.
I glanced around at the students and could tell they were all staring at me. I shot some of them a glare, not caring what they thought. I sighed softly, and slipped into the class, before making my way to the back. I glanced over at the only other student that was in class who was sitting right beside me.
When we made eye contact I looked away and sat in my normal chair. It was only when I heard your voice that I had to do a double-take.
“Hey, Haitani~ nice to see you showed up today.”
“(Y/N)?” I asked and you tilted your head to the side.
“That would be me…”
I felt the tips of my ears burn as I adjusted my glasses. You looked completely different than the last time we saw each other. Still absolutely beautiful though.
God, why does my heart not take the hint that I don’t plan to date her?
I glared at my desk and I heard you moving around. I looked up and saw you turned back around in your seat reading your book.
Way to be an ass, could have responded. I thought to myself. I took out my notebook and leaned against my hand as the teacher came in with all the other students. The class was long, and I couldn’t help but trail my eyes over to you. You were even more beautiful, your hair had gotten (longer/shorter), you had matured, your personality and physically, and you were still at the top of your class.
I couldn’t help but smile slightly until you looked over at me confused. I felt the tip of my ears burn and I quickly looked away.
The class dragged on and I started to regret coming in today. It was finally the last class of the day, and the teacher was going over the pairings for the homework that was due on Monday.
I really should have missed class because I don’t want to be paired with anyone.
“Haitani, (L/N). You two will be paired for this project, come up here and get your packets.”
Scratch that, I am glad I came in today.
We both stood up and walked up to the front of the class. I could see all the students giving you a look of pity. Once we got our packets the bell rang, and we grabbed our bags and you walked up to me.
“If you want we can complete this today, so we don’t have to worry about it over the weekend,” you said. I nodded my head slightly, and we both left the school grounds.
“Your place or mine?” I finally asked, without looking at you.
“Well, we won’t get anything done at my house. So yours might be better, honestly.”
“Okay,” we fell into silence. I glanced at you and took your appearance in. You didn’t bother to look at me so I looked straight ahead, not to get caught staring again.
Once the two of us arrived, I glanced around to make sure my brother wasn’t around before leading you to my room. The last thing I needed Ran to do was tease me about bringing a girl home. Especially someone that I have a huge crush on.
“Sorry, I didn’t want my brother to know you were here.”
“Why?”
“He would make a huge deal out of it. He is an idiot, trust me,” I said.
“Oh, okay. Well, let’s get started. I am sure you don’t want me here any longer than I want to.” I looked at you confused, tilting my head to the side.
“What makes you think, I don’t want you here?” I couldn’t help but ask. You looked at me and you were just as confused as I was.
“Don’t you hate me or something? You completely ignored me today, and hardly said anything to me.”
“That’s not the reason. I don’t hate you.” I said focusing on the packet. I hoped that you would drop it and leave it alone but you continued.
“Then why? You don’t have to lie to me, if you hate me just tell me.”
“I don’t hate you,” I said again, before staring hard at you. You went to open your mouth, and I sighed. Slamming my lips onto yours, to keep you quiet. My breath hitched in my throat, as I realized what I did but I didn’t pull away.
I felt your arms move around my neck, and that gave me more than enough confidence to pull you into my lap. I licked your bottom lip wanting you to part your lips, which you did almost instantly. I slipped my tongue in, and I let a soft moan out.
Your taste, lips, tongue, all of it was so addicting. I wanted more, so I held you closer trying to deepen the kiss. I could feel your hands tangle in my hair, before gripping it. I groaned and parted from your lips and leaned my forehead against yours.
“Does that answer your question?”
“Yes,” you panted slightly and I smirked before nudging my nose against yours. I could tell that your cheeks were a shade of pink and it only boosted my pride.
“RinRin, I am home!” I heard my brother’s voice, and I couldn’t get you off of me fast enough before my brother came into my room.
“Want to~oh what do we have here?” He smirked at me and I groaned. You quickly got off my lap and I really wanted to punch Ran right now. “I am sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt your time.”
“It’s not like that, we were doing homework,” I said, adjusting my glasses.
“With her on your lap? I highly doubt that, are you going to introduce me to her?” Ran asked, he was staring at you while talking to me. It was starting to irritate me, but I decided I might as well.
“Ran, this is (Y/N), my classmate. (Y/N), this is my brother.” I groaned, you looked over at me, and I could tell what you were thinking. I only nodded my head before glaring at my brother.
“Only your classmate? Are you sure she isn’t your girlfriend?” Ran asks, before focusing on you.
“Are you his girlfriend?”
“Well, no. I’m not.” You said unsure. I bit my lip as I saw Ran was about to wrap his arm around your shoulders but I pulled you into my chest.
“Yes. She is not my girlfriend, yet.” I said quickly. I glanced down at you and realized your head had snapped up to meet my eyes.
“Awe, really?”
“Really?” You asked after Ran.
“Yeah, I didn’t get to ask you out yet 'cause Ran interrupted us.”
“Well, don’t let me hold you back.”
“Out,” I said and Ran puffed his cheeks before waving at you. You waved back and I let you go sighing and you smiled at me.
“See what I mean? When I said he would make a big deal out of it?” I asked and you nodded your head.
“Yeah…”
“Anyway, will you be my girlfriend?” I asked finally and you placed your lips on mine.
“Yes, of course.”

Hi! I follow Imekitty on Fanfiction and Tumblr. I loved your fic, Danny's struggle to re-adjust to life after revelation and plighting against the trauma of GiW is brilliantly executed! I read your chp 18 "Everything Was White" DP fic. I wanted to say that if you're writing the fic under real-world or semi-real world rules, then Operative O verbally intimidating Danny should count for as some kind lawful restraint/victim intimidation violation. Sure, they can't physically engage with him, but verbal, especially is words/statements' contents is or implies threats or emotional trauma provocation, are a thing that maybe could be explored. Just my two cents.
Hi! Thanks for the comment! I'm so glad you're enjoying the fic so far, and yes I am writing under semi-real world rules (starting with real world rules, and bending as I please haha). And I absolutely LOVE that you're pointing this out because it gives me an excuse to ramble about my writing decisions! Sorry, you've basically unlocked a monster lmao.
I didn't think O's interaction with Danny worked in the legal sense because O was just there on—as he said—a routine inspection. Danny was the one to confront him in the hallway, and Danny was the one who acted aggressively. O's response was careful to not include any (apparent) threats, and his intimidation tactic was hidden (this becomes apparent next chapter).
Now you and I both know that O was actually threatening Danny, and that the only reason why he showed up to the school was to see and intimidate Danny. But it doesn't look that way from the outside. I mean, if a student took a video of the incident, they'd just see a very angry, glowing-eyed halfa Danny storming up to a government agent, the agent saying something the video can't pick up, and then the angry ghost backing down and being escorted away by a teacher. That's not really anything concrete enough for the courts to go off of, ESPECIALLY remembering that no one knows that O has a personal connection to Danny! And yes, even though it's very obvious that there was some foul play between the GIW and Danny (aka he's disabled), not only was experimenting on ghosts legal to do, but O and his team could have very easily lied about what really happened in the reports. Honestly, I don't think anyone in the government or judicial system would care enough to dig deeper.
One topic that I really like to compare Danny's situation to is Gitmo because it has a history of torture and basically acts outside of US government "oversight". When you dig into it, there have been cases of ex-prisoners trying to sue for damages, and the US basically went "lol fuck off you can't sue us for this." Or they went "We don't condone what happened, but we're not gonna see your case because of national security matters." And I could TOTALLY see them doing a similar thing to Danny to shut him down.
Now of course, the irl prisoners weren't suing for intimidation, but I think that sort of history of people in power 'protecting the abusers' is really relevant to the fic. And we see cases like this not only in Gitmo, but also just in the general criminal law too. I mean, there's a reason why cops are so famous for abusing their wives. They can get away with it, plain and simple. The laws don't really apply to them because they stand together above the law.
It's all very complicated and messy. So yes while you're ABSOLUTELY right that O did go after Danny here and yes he should never be allowed within 100 yards of Danny again, I don't think that one interaction alone is nearly telling enough for Danny's family to get any sort of protection for him. Especially since Danny hasn't said a word about O specifically to...well...anyone.

Hi, so just a disclaimer, I AM A MINOR (14) so it is completely up to you if you'll answer this. I want to clarify that I only interact with your and other sfw posts, I'm not rlly comfy with seeing nsfw post since it just makes me feel icky lmao, anyways. ENGLISH ISN'T MY FIRST LANGUAGE, sorry for any wrong spellings, typos or anything incorrect.
So uh another warning, idk where this actually classifies as but to put it in simple, slightly creepy teacher. I think I'll send this to a couple of blogs, but I'm gonna start off with here since I feel most safest here.
So, I have this IT teacher. I know him since, the obvious, he teaches at my school and I was also in coding class in 7th grade, which he was the supervising teacher for that extracurricular.
In 7th grade, back when I was still in my coding class, he called the kids up one by one to sign the attendance paper to make sure the kids were all there (it's just something that my school does) and when it came to me, he asked me questions about why I decided to join, it would've been normal, but the thing is, he only asked me. No other kid in the class which already made me slightly warry of him for that.
He also would would pay more attention to me and my friend in the class (one of the few only girls in the class) and would just check in on us a lot more than he would with the guys.
Another thing is that, when I first went into 7th grade, my sister (who used to go to my school) warned me not to get too close to this IT teacher, since even when she was in school he paid "special attention" to a few kids (specially female).
Another interaction with him that made me have fucking alarms blaring was earlier in 8th grade (the grade I'm in now), we had his class and he came up to my desk, leaned into my ear with a hand on my shoulder, and whispered "you should join coding again this year, it's a good learning opportunity for you", and ofc as the logical person I am, I felt disgusted bcus why did he have to go so close??? (And I ended up joining English club lol).
The most recent one that happened was this one time after school, my parents hadn't picked me up yet, so I was waiting on the second floor of my school near the teachers lounge, playing a game. Now this IT teacher walked pass me, greeted me slightly while asking what I was doing, I told him "playing a game" as he went to the teachers lounge, after that, he came out and walked closer to me and then leaned in too close for comfort towards my face, just to look at my screen and asked what I was playing, then laughed and walked away.
The last two rlly freaked me out bcus he got rlly close, he hasnt done something extreme and just got to close a couple of times, it's not just me that he'd be way to overly comfy to, the whole of 9th and 8th grade basically label him as the "creepy teacher". Idk what I should honestly, everytime I go to school or have his class I always feel scared tbh, and I also can't rlly do bcus it's not liks I can report him. He hasn't done anything extreme and I don't have any prove of anything.
Do you think I'm just over exaggerating this whole thing? I mean he might just a be a lonely or what's ppl to have him as his favorite teacher.
Sorry it's so long, and it's completely fine if you don't wanna answer
-🌙 anon
I'm glad you're only interacting with specific posts because some of the stuff on Tumblr is definitely not suited for minors. Please never apologize for your English because it's very, very, very good. Hearing that you feel the safest here means the world to me because I've always wanted to create a safe space.
This situation is complex because on one hand, he really isn't committing a crime or anything. However, yes, it definitely is creepy and it feels gross and disgusting. I don't understand why people have a lack of personal space, especially considering that you're a minor.
If your sister warned you, maybe you might feel comfortable bringing this to her attention? You deserve some real life validation for this because it's so gross and unnerving. As an adult, I don't think you should ever put your hands on a child unless they're doing something extreme like physically fighting another student and need to be restrained.
I don't really talk about it, but I have a younger sibling who I basically parent that's around your age. If they came to me and announced a teacher was acting like this around them, I'd be livid. Could it just be an overly-friendly guy? Yes, but this could also be the beginning stages of a potential grooming scenario.
If I were you, I'd stay as far away from him as possible. I don't think you can do that because you mentioned attending his class. Stick tight to your friends and, at least, try not to end up alone with him. I know you can't prevent that like during the time he found you waiting to get home, but if I were you, I'd keep your answers as simple as possible and seem disinterested. Groomers often attempt to try to gain trust from their victims.
It's unfortunate that the school hasn't investigated. If I was in charge and found out that there were rumors of a creepy teacher, I'd investigate that. Maybe you could bring it to the attention of staff members, anonymously? Perhaps an email or anonymous letters of people that have had weird experiences. If there's a teacher you trust and really like, maybe you could start there?
If there are multiple instances of other kids having issues with this man, if he's being creepy and touching them, saying weird things, etc, maybe the school would be forced to investigate if there were multiple complaints.
Whether you choose to try to bring it to their attention or not, it's a very scary and concerning situation. I'm sorry you have to go through that because no child deserves to feel unsafe at school. Please be careful, darling. If it escalates, please, please, please tell an adult that you trust in your life. I can only do so much over the internet because I'm not physically there. Please be safe <3

Chapter 2
。☆✼★━━━━━━━━━━━━★✼☆。
(Your pov)
Riiiiiiiiiiiiing
The bell woke me up at, I rolled over to see Dawn already dressed and packing her bag for the day, piplup was jumping around on her bed.
"What time is it?" I asked sleepily.
"Oh, Y/n, you're up! It's 7 am so you better get ready before you're late. Class starts at 9" Dawn said.
I got out of bed, got dressed, brushed my teeth, etc. After I was ready Dawn called piplup back into it's pokeball and we went to the cafeteria where we got our breakfast. We finished at 8:30, so we still had half an hour to get to class.
"Looks like we have home room together" Dawn observed.
"Cool, where's the classroom?" I asked.
"Here" she said pointing.
We left to find our first class, we were glad we had the extra time since this was our first time and we wouldn't be late if we got lost. We found the room in 20 minutes and were about to go in when I saw someone behind us.
"Serena!" I called to her.
She came over "Good morning Y/n, how are you?" she asked.
"I'm good, how about you?" I answered.
Serena sighed.
"What is it?" I asked.
"I have to share a dorm room with Misty" she confessed.
"Oh....." I said, that could be a problem. Serena and Misty already hated each other enough as it is, I didn't know how they would handle being stuck in the same dorm.
"But let's not think about that" Serena said. "It's our first day of school, we should be complaining about all the homework the teachers will probably give us, not my terrible roommate"
"Misty isn't terrible" I said.
"Um, Y/n..." said Dawn.
"Oma, I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce you guys!" I exclaimed. "Serena, this is Dawn, my roommate. Dawn, this is Serena, my friend since elementary school"
"Nice to meet you Dawn!" Serena said.
"Nice meeting you too Serena" Said Dawn, then she turned to me. "So, um, who's Misty?"
"Right here" said a voice from behind us.
"Oh, good morning Misty. How long have you been standing there?" I asked.
"Just got here" Misty explained "How was your first night? Was your roommate nice?"
"It was awesome! And my roommate is amazing, she's right here" I said gesturing at Dawn.
"Dawn Berlitz" Dawn said holing out her hand. Misty shook it.
"Misty Williams, good meeting you Dawn" said Misty shaking her hand.
"What's so bad about her?" Dawn whispered to me.
"Nothing!" I whispered back. "Why would you think that?"
"Well Serena didn't seem to like her very much" Dawn explained.
I nodded "They've always hated each other, but they're both really great. If they weren't, then they wouldn't be my best friends" I said.
"Why do they hate each other?" Dawn asked.
"I don't know" I admitted.
"You don't know?!" said Dawn, almost forgetting to whisper. "But didn't you say you were their friend?"
"I am, and no, I have no idea why they hate each other. If I knew I might be able to help put a stop to it" I said.
The bell rang.
"Well, that's the bell, we should probably go in" said Serena.
We all went inside and found seats as close together as possible. Serena on one side, Misty on the other, with me and Dawn in the middle. Thank goodness this school doesn't have seating charts, otherwise, knowing they're luck, Misty and Serena would probably have to sit next to each other. At least this way there was some space between them.
The Prof came in to start the class. "Hello class, my name is Professor Sy—" he was cut off by someone running through the door.
"Sorry I'm late Professor!" said the boy who just came in.
"It's fine, um, Ash right?" the professor said.
He nodded.
"Well you can go find a seat where ever you can find room, I think there's one beside Zoey" said our teacher.
Ash went across to the seat beside Zoey, which just happened to be the one right in front of me, I could already see Serena and Misty freaking out. Damn it, why? I thought as the prof started the class.
"As I was saying, I am professor Sycamore..." he said, but my attention was on Misty and Serena.
Serena grabbed my arm and shook it a little bit "Ash is here! Can you believe it? Ash it here!" she squealed.
"I can't believe this! This is awesome! Ash is here!" said Misty doing fist pumps beside Dawn who looked very confused.
Ash was sitting right in front of me, and I didn't know how he didn't notice the two crazy girls having a party over his existence right behind him. I was about to tell them to quiet down , but professor Sycamore beat me to it.
"Serena. Misty. Please no talking in my class" he said.
"Sorry prof" they said at the same time.
"Ash is here!" Serena whispered beside me.
I sighed. Great. Ash was here. Yet another reason for my two best friends to fight. I can't believe this. Why? Just why?
<Time skip brought to you by professor Sycamore talking about type advantage>
In the cafeteria.
"Wow, the first day of school is great so far!" said Serena. She had barley touched her sandwich since she was so busy talking about how much she loved it here.
"I can't believe Ash is here" Misty happily sighed.
"Hey, you two are finally agreeing on something!" I smiled.
They both huffed and turned away from each other.
"Ash is something everyone can agree on" Serena said.
"I think I'm missing something, who's Ash?" asked Dawn.
"The boy who came in late for prof Sycamore's class" I said.
"What's so important about him?" Dawn asked.
Misty glared at her for daring to question Ash's importance.
"Uh, I think Serena and Misty should explain" I said, I didn't want another 'Ash is so great' speech, but they could probably do a better job at explaining the situation.
"Well for starters he's sweet, and kind, and he loves pokemon" Serena started.
"Not to mention he's a great battler" Misty continued.
"Basically he's perfect" Serena finished.
Dawn still looked confused, I knew I'd have to step in since Serena and Misty were now both stuck in la la land and we wouldn't get anything else out of them.
"He's the guy that Misty and Serena have both had a crush on since second grade" I said and Dawn let out an 'oh'
"Is that why they fight so much?" she asked.
"No, they hated each other before they met him" I said.
"Wow, no wonder you hate him" Dawn said.
"What?! I don't hate him. Why would you think that?" I wondered.
"You were glaring daggers at the back of his head, like, really hard. I'm surprised you didn't burn a hole in it. I was wondering why, but now I know he's one of the reason's your friends are fighting" Dawn said.
"Well, I do wish he wasn't going to this school since Misty and Serena will have yet another reason to fight, but it's not like it's his fault. I don't hate him" I said.
"Could have fooled me" Dawn mumbled loud enough for me to hear.
I sighed "Come on, we should eat something before lunch is over" I said taking a bite of my wrap.
<Time skip brought to you by boring classes>
Me, Dawn Serena, and Misty were in our dorm after the last class of the day, talking about school and other things.
"So Y/n, you know there's a school dance coming up, right?" Dawn said out of no where.
"What? I didn't know about this. How did you find out?" I asked.
"It says so on the schools website. Serena, Misty, tell me I'm not the only one who knows about this?" said Dawn.
"I didn't know either" said Serena.
"I did" Misty said.
"You did?" I asked.
"Yeah, they have one every year two months after the first day to celebrate the new school year. You would know that if you had checked the school's website" Misty explained, shooting a look at Serena.
"You realize that Y/n didn't know about it either, right?" Serena reminded.
"Um, who do you want to go with?" asked Dawn trying to prevent conflict, I could tell she was doing it for my sake.
"Ash" Serena and Misty said at the same time, should have seen that coming.
The two turned and glared at each other. "What do you mean, why would Ash go with an unsophisticated tomboy like you?" Serena said to Misty.
"Well at least I don't spend three hours in the bathroom every morning gazing at myself in the mirror" Misty shot back.
"Excuse me?!" exclaimed Serena angrily.
Oh no, I thought. This is bad.
(Ash's pov)
In Ash's dorm.
"Hey Gary, I felt like someone was watching me in prof Sycamore's class" I said.
"That's weird, are you sure you're not just imagining things?" Gary asked.
"Maybe..." I said, I didn't think so though. Just then, a sound came from my bag.
"What was that?" asked Gary looking around.
"Oh, right" I said, I unzipped my bag and Pikachu came out.
"Ash, why do you have a Pikachu in your bag?" Gary asked.
"You see, Pikachu doesn't like to go in his pokeball, and since pokemon aren't allowed outside they're pokeballs in the halls, I have to keep him in my bag" I explained.
"Is that even allowed?" asked Gary.
"I talked to the principle and he said they could make an exception" I said.
"Ok, if you say so" said Gary.
(Dawn's pov)
Me and Y/n sat on the bed listening to the two girls shoot insults back and forth. I looked over at Y/n, it was obvious that they were hurting her more than they were hurting each other.
"Ok, stop, that's enough!" I said coming between them. "Can I talk to you both?" I asked before pulling them into the bathroom.
"We need to talk about something" I said.
"Wait" Misty interrupted.
"What is it?" I asked.
"We should give Serena a few minutes to look at herself to make sure her hair is still just as perfect as it was five minutes ago before you start" Misty said.
"What did you say?!" Serena exclaimed.
"Do you need hearing aids grandma? I said—" I cut Misty off before she could finish.
"No, stop it, this is exactly what I wanted to talk to you about" I said.
"The fact that Serena needs hearing aids?" Misty asked.
"No, all of your fighting" I said before Serena could respond.
"What do you mean?" asked Serena.
"I mean that you should stop. You're hurting Y/n more than each other" I said.
"I would love to stop, but somebody is making it very hard" Serena said.
"Excuse me? Who called me a tomboy" Misty snapped.
"That's not an insult, that's a fact" Serena said calmly.
"You see? This is exactly what I mean! Look, I know it's probably to much to ask both of you to stop fighting entirely and become best friends. I don't know why you hate each other, but I do know you won't be able to resolve it in one day. But could you at least try to keep it together in front of Y/n? She's your friend, and she really doesn't like it when you fight" I said.
They glared at each other.
"Please?" I asked.
Serena sighed. "I'll try for Y/n" she said.
"Fine" Misty grumbled. "But this doesn't mean I like you, or that I'm even going to be nice to you. This is just for Y/n"
"I couldn't agree more" said Serena.
"Ok, can we go outside and you guys won't fight?" I said.
They both nodded stiffly. We all went out of the bathroom and we saw Y/n still sitting on her bed playing with her Pikachu and my piplup.
"Hey, what took you so long?" she asked.
"Oh, nothing" I said and we all started talking again. Serena and Misty weren't fighting apart from the occasional glare.
I sighed in relief. Crisis averted, for now.
