Okay 3 things
1. I was thinking about an aroace Sonic who says things that can be taken as wildly flirty/romantic but he just means them genuinely. “You have beautiful eyes, I keep getting distracted while looking at them,” not cause he’s interested romantically in them but because eyes can be really cool and pretty man I dunno what to tell you he likes looking at cool things and he thinks his friends are neat. “You’re the most beautiful person here,” because he really thinks that, he loves his friends
2. Sonic randomly dropping heartfelt genuine comments on his friends out of the blue completely blindsiding them and then moves on like nothing happened while they’re left going ?????? Bonus points if he does something immensely stupid or jerkish just before or immediately afterwards and they can’t tell if he was serious or not with the compliment (yes he was)
3. Sonic usually being so allergic to truly vulnerable moments that when he expresses something heartfelt randomly Tails thinks he’s been stabbed or something and does not believe him when he reassures him that he’s fine he’s fine he’s not dying yeesh

An email. A brief text. Have Foggy excitedly brag to Matt and Karen that he has#something to show them tomorrow morning that is going to blow their minds#But no. They just expected that people would hang in there waiting for a point.#I have always loved the mystery solving aspect of this show and so I personally felt very disconnected with everything#for most of this season. So to just bring this up in the last 2 episodes feels a bit late.#But I do love them getting their sleuth on together. And I guess it makes sense if things changed now because Karen's back.#Like her departure paused everything and her arrival back is just as everything hits a new gear.#Matt wasn't meant to work this all out on his own.#I still think it wasn't worth Foggy's life but it's an interesting plot piece.#And I like Matt hyping Karen up at the beginning. Like no duh she's good at finding things - she was a reporter.#Matt should really invest in a coat so he isn't wandering around dressed like Daredevil in places that likely have cameras.#I'd say he could have borrowed one from Frank but... now I'm picturing that conversation and that seems a little farfetched.#Frank has like two outfits I doubt he has a coat he can lend out.#(The new gif limits are crazy FYI. I haven't done much giffing in years so it's so weird not trying to keep everything to less than 3MBs.)

In light of Rogue's brief return I feel like I should throw my theory that the mysterious someone he lost was a previous incarnation of the Doctor in the ring before canon confirms or debunks it. Specifically one of their lost lives that got wiped considering they don't (consciously) recognize him—like with Anansi's daughter. Assuming Rogue isn't somebody we already knew with a new look

ah, the most wonderful time of the year---when I sit down with a mug of tea and my vote by mail ballot, when I consult the meticulously researched Judicial Election guide published by Injustice Watch, as well as the Bring Chicago Home materials provided to me by a very cheerful door-to-door campaign worker, so I can vote in accordance with my conscience.
....and of course, I have to do this early, because I will be an election judge in a week and a half, and I can't let filling out my ballot interfere!

I do like the bit of “if not aroace why aroace colored?” for hcing him as such (his 2024 bday card is literally the#aroace flag and just generally you can colorpick the flag from him in most images) but it does go a lot deeper#I highly resonate with him finding romance boring/being uninterested in it (as seen with him removing romance in every story they adapt)#since that's how I grew up being!! And even now I do find myself more interested in a story if romance is entirely out of the equation!!#growing up not liking romance and especially just never having a crush is a rather alienating experience if I'm being so fr#“who do you like :)” asked by everyone really but if you say “no one” you're lying???? fucked up#I strongly believe Tsukasa is so aroace-coded (whether intentionally so or not) even in his actual management of romance!!!!#He still keeps the romantic aspect of Romeo and Juliet in the first ever cultural festival event BUT it is not as important as the action#which is something at least I can relate to as an aroace creator? Considering other dialogue I'll get to later? but it seems like something that I personally haven't done but#I know is somewhat of a common experience in the aro/ace communities of trying to overcompensate/force yourself to feel a certain way#to match your peers? E.g. pretending you have a crush on a specific person when you don't#it kinda feels like that to me + a little bit of wanting to seem more popular with his peers than he is but that's unrelated#and then the most relatable moment ever in Pandemonium when Tsukasa doesn't understand why one of his classmates being popular#with girls is a big deal (which directly contradicts the mindset he has in the aforementioned live) and like!!!!!#“So what? #A great episode tbh especially given the low budget. I feel like they really did their very best#And even though what I'm going to say next is probably going to be all critic - because I nitpick things and that's what I always end up–#talking about - I still want to underline that it was a very solid and enjoyable episode!!!#Alright the ss/kk was so 💞💞💞 every scene I had to rewatch twice or thrice akhscbashfb they're so cute!!!#Except for the riding scene tho. That scene gives me massive second hand embarrassment every time I just wish it will end as fast as–#possible pffttt. Mmmmhhh... The drawings weren't even too bad all accounted. My main complain is about the quicksand scene...#I feel like that one should be a slow quiet emotional scene. I never licked the choice of using the song as background soundtrack :/#I feel like it ruins the mood of the scene (it was still good though)#I also... Generally don't like the direction they seem to go for with Akutagawa's character in the anime‚ he seems quite a bit flatter–#compared to how he is in the manga. He can't be angry and evil ALL the time you need to show that softness get through from time to time.#If not what even is the point of his character. Yet in the anime he's angry (and not distraught) when he loses the mine craft and he's–#angry when he's questioning Atsushi about his motifs and he's angry when he's bragging about Atsushi's abilities to Goncharov and he's–#angry when he makes the promise with Atsushi at the end of the episode and eventually he'll be just as angry even when telling Atsushi–#to run away as he's sacrificing his life for him. It is pretty flat at the end of the day.#If I can say something about K/ensho Ono without being killed I think they do contribute to making him feel angry all the time.#But that said it's all probably poor directing choices (or simply choices I don't agree with).#Also‚ about cuts. Usually I try to be lenient about it– I understand it's hard to fit in everything and b/sd already does a very–#good job by adapting the manga almost panel-by panel. It's just that... You skip Akutagawa showing compassion for Atsushi after the–#orphanage director died. You skip Atsushi sharing the same compassion when Akutagawa loses his targed in the mines chase. You skip the–#“Nothing special about that. // I suppose he's far crueler than my own mentor.” line. And sure each of them may be negligible by their own#But together they wave a consistent web of relationship between the two characters you know? And it's a loss to omit them all#Well no mind. Again it was still a great episode overall!!!!#I think the colors in the mines could have been prettier in the mines but we can't have it all#Off to season 4!!! Omg I can't believe we got this far :DDD#random rambles#FINALLY was able to catch up in time for the season 3 finale!!!!!!
