#I drawing your theriotype

Hi :3 !
I saw your post about drawing kintypes, may I ask for a golden brown dragon like the one on my profile picture :3 ?
But with small antler-like horns instead ?
(I have a picture of my horns but I have no idea how to add it to an ask ':3)
Tumblr media
I just finished drawing it 😉 your kintype is amazing!
I hope you like these horns ✨

For people who are still waiting for their drawing, I have more and more requests so I can't draw several things at the same time 😅
Even if it takes a little time, I will do all the requested drawings, of course!

fuck it. nonhuman art requests
hi people-who-are-not-people. if you go woof or meow or whatever sound earthworms make and you'd like to give me something to draw that makes me all warmblooded and fuzzyfaced, please reply to this post/reblog this post/send me an ask including:
your kintype, theriotype, hearttype, whatevertype, etc. (for easily google-able things like general species or characters; do the below if you have a specific design)
if applicable, visual reference material of your ideal self (ref sheets, stock art drawovers, anything really. for generic species/character appearances, do the above)
an aesthetic/vibe/-core/feeling/cool-looking thing/etc. that rocks your ass (e.g. lovecore, liminality, grunge, bubblegum pop, firearms, colored pencils, comic sans)
any notes you think would be fun to include ("i love stickers!!!!!" "can i be snarling?" "in my ideal life i'd always have monster energy on claw")
i am specifically looking to draw animal nonhumans this time around. if you're a critter of any variety and you're afraid you don't qualify, you do. get in here. cus if you do i might just make you something you can look at with your eyes! i'll probably only do between 5-10 (depends on how soon i get tired of being generous). they'll all be portraits, they'll all be square in case you want 'em for social media icons, and they'll all be free so no bitching if you don't like them!!
alright go nuts, horsie needs his funtimes

Therian journalling prompts/ideas
make up or learn a secret cypher (i use an altered version of greenrune), find the coolest looking journal you can or make one yourself, and write everything you want, your secrets, your dreams, your therian experiences all without having to worry someone will read it. seriously. it's incredibly freeing!
doodle and describe how you feel yourself. a human? an animal? a mix? do you see an animal on two paws, or perhaps a human on all fours? get as creative with this as you want
make a scrapbooking spread. make it messy or neat, all to your preferences. add everything you possibly can think of in there that reminds you of your kintype, be it dried plants, colored paper, pictures of nature, or maybe even scraps of fabric. draw the paw/feet/similar identifying trait of your theriotype over it all. make it yours
do you have any gear, or want any? why or why not? delve into that thought, and see where your mind takes you. it's always alright to get off track
dedicate a page or two to your theriotype(s), with information you know, things that remind you of them, perhaps add images or drawing of the, as well.
what was the best/most fun shift you've ever had? why? what caused it? try to replicate it and see how it goes!
do you like to/want to do quads? make a tracker for what days you try, and keep notes of what you do well and what you need to practice more!
in similar suit, track your shifts, along with what kind of shift it was, what animal you were, what you believe triggered it, and how long it lasted. it can help you learn more about what kind of shifts are typical for you, and predict shifts a little more
territory. do you have any? do you remember any from animalistic memories? would you like some? plan ahead! scout out areas nearby, print pictures of it, and draw over areas you'd like to create. think that mound might look nice with a den right next to it? want to have a quads obstacle course? maybe an area where you can sit and do homework or relax? note all the ideas down, plan how you'll mark your territory, and draw any elaborate plans you may have!
list a few meal ideas for yourself that work with your theriotypes! if you make them, write about how they tasted!
Feel free to suggest more ideas!

Random thought that came to me after watching Strange Æons video on reality shifting the other day (hard recommend that video, absolutely fascinating insight into internet communities and belief).
I'm not in any Endogenic plural spaces cause I just don't relate to what's being said but I get the impression from the outside that it's very uncritically inclusive of experiences. Like, if you say you're plural then your experiences are plural even if that same experience could be quite common with singlets. Like for instance how pwADHD can have multiple trains of thought at the same time and mask differently in different social situations but would just say it's ADHD not that they're plural, but they totally could say they're plural and that would be fine with the community or even suggest that the ADHD singlet person is plural and just in denial or socially conditioned to think they're a singlet, right?
Whereas in other communities there seem to be much stronger attempts to draw lines around themselves to distinguish their experiences from those outside it. For instance the Therian community make attempts to differentiate having a theriotype or a kintype, with community made criteria like "shifting" being a requirement in some spaces.
In Reality Shifting Æons highlights discourse in the community between really accessing your desired reality or just lucid dreaming/daydreaming or the idea of having a "clone" that can deal with daily tasks while you spend time in your DR which many think is impossible.
Or another thing would be like pointing out that one kind of experience isn't enough, like "just because you have social anxiety doesn't mean you have autism, you need to have sensory issues and difficulty communicating and like trains as well" or whatever
Am I right in thinking this isn't a thing in Endogenic spaces? Or does it go on and I just haven't seen it? Like I imagine the whole anti endo thing is a good enough reason for it not to happen, you don't need it coming from inside the house as well as outside but then transmed communities exist, is there truendo? Is that a thing?

Made her “normal” vs monster/bestial comparison!! + height comparison + color palette comparison
Tumblr media
(This is an oc for the Objectfied comic au im making! I will explain her role soon..!)
Tumblr media
(Adding this just in case you aren’t interested in reading my infodumping below :P I basically got a bit too excited and wrote down a lot of details abt her lol—)
The full sets of her pronouns jic: Xe/Xem/Xer/Xeirs/Xerself — She/Her/Hers/Herself
Aaand.. maybe I’ll sneak in a neopronoun :3c Cub/Cubs/Cubself
Now let’s get onto some character design study! Let’s start with her limbs!
I was going to make her limbs white, which aesthetically didn’t look nice, so instead of white limbs, I thought maybe I make it the colors OF the stripes, with the white slightly showing, and if your wondering how her limbs turn from normal to tiger.. let me demonstrate..!
Tumblr media
That’s basically how her limbs change color, her limbs originally have dark stripes with a slightly lighter rest of the skin, depending on how much she turns into a tiger is how much the colors show!
The paws on the normal limbs are different from the tiger ones, I couldn’t make the paws the exact same color as the limbs so I made it lighter (since I didn’t show it in the reference above, I didn’t put it’s color in the palette)
Her tail completely shifts into nothing just like her fur on her neck, I thought it would be cool if I added small stripes along her neck where the fluff comes but I thought it was a little too much, since the limbs were already showing off the cool stripes, yk?
Plus, if you noticed, the more normal version of her is more awkward and shy, to the point she doesn’t even know what pose she should make! But the more she shows off her bestiality, the more confident and proud she is! Since tigers are very strong and confident, I thought it would be cool to make her lose/gain that confidence based on how normal/bestial she is!
Her claws can unsheathe, which is why I demonstrated it in the reference above btw
To disguise her stripes, she said she was just born with this “odd beauty mark pattern” which wasn’t exactly a lie, some people would fall for it, and some got suspicious but didn’t think too much about it
And uhh about my older sonas, (Fuorzy, Bookmark, and Portal) I’ll see which ones I’m gonna stick with since I think I’m losing my hype for Bookmark
And to end everything, she is one of my (favorite) sonas now, as she really shows off everything I have!
I am a white tiger therian, very VERY skinny, I have glasses (my old ones were circle glasses), freckles, I always feel confident and happy when I shift into Xue, aka my theriotype, and in reality I am a very shy and awkward person!1!
Soo.. WOAAH!! HI OBJECTIFED VERSION OF ME!! :D
I thought it would be such a perfect idea to add my theriotype in my sona because I got SO MUCH therian energy off of Dynamite! Which inspired me to make my own oc and lore and au and… yeah you get my point.. <:D (I actually shifted earlier today and yesterday after months of nothing which felt so refreshing, I thought I lost my connection for a while!)
Woah! That was a bit too much hahahahhahahaaaaaaa— uhh I hope this feeds you well! I think I got possessed by a grammar demon or something but wow I didn’t even misspell that much, I may have worded some things wrong but bear with me, it’s a struggle I deal with every day :,)
Ilysm if you are still reading this/p, I’d love any fanart of my ocs so tag me if you draw xer! <3
(Tagging @ch0cocrave, @facelessthefreak and @hollow8007 since y’all rebloged/commented on the first post <3)

I’m heavily pro-endo so that statement was meant literally (polytherian does not experience any form of plurality but calls themselves a system purely based on having multiple theriotypes).
Even if we were just talking about self expression. As a disabled person, does being radically accepting mean I have to accept nonhumans who are not disabled (who have said they are not disabled) using medical equipment to express their nonhumanity (i.e. someone using a cane solely for the purpose of showing they should not be bipedal). Because, it’s their right to express that way but it doesn’t sit right with me that I’m watching someone use medical equipment as an accessory. It’s not harmful but it’s also not something I can agree with.
I guess my point is. Where do you draw the line with radical acceptance? If we believe everyone about everything, if we accept every form of expression, at what point can we recognize what is harmful and not? If a couple people are hurt by it, is that harmful or just a personal opinion?
By no means is any of this meant as an attack. I’m really just trying to figure out where the radically accepting folks come from (as I once thought myself to be RA but found it brought on much toxicity and drama to spaces that weren’t that way before). As I said. I love Beastpunk for all its other qualities… just not the radically accepting (basically blind faith in my opinion) part…
Look, as someone who walks with a cane and wishes it was as well-loved and accepted an accessory as glasses currently are, so I'd get less shit about using one and accessibility for canes would be more baseline, I think you seriously need to reconsider why you can't agree with that. And why, even though you openly admit it isn't harmful, it's still being used as an example in this scenario.
Let's open the doors on this-- we're talking about a concept where we are trusting people to know themselves better than we know them, and where we are accepting the aspects about people that they cannot change, and where we are accepting people's non-harmful forms of self-expression. Where does any of that suddenly scoop your ability to think critically and deeply about information being presented to you out of your skull? I'm hunting through my essay and, you know, I simply just can't find the part where we yoink out your common sense or ability to question others.
Beastpunk is against plenty of harmful ideaologies and communities-- like pshifting, for instance, for historical reasons as outlined in the essay. You can be beastpunk and have opinions about what constitutes harm and what doesn't. But, as I said before, you're conflating radical acceptance as spoken of here with tucking tail and showing off your throat and belly, so to speak. You are confusing radical acceptance within this framework with an inability to confront others and to dig in deep to question why you are uncomfortable with something to decide if it really truly causes harm or if it's just internalized shit you need to unpack (re: the cane thing). And look, I cannot give you that skill. And being beastpunk requires that skill.
I cannot in good faith recommend beastpunk to you when you have so blatantly misunderstood what it represents, and seem to have a total inability to grasp one of the underlying, core principles of it.
Other folks are also welcome to chime in.

Wowie, been a while. I used your fox pfp you made for me! It's small enough that no one will notice :3. Anyways, could I have some kintype tips? Mainly for fox stuff, but I'm open to feline things as well! Love your work sm /pos :3
Hi! Thank you so much for your kind comments, and I'm terribly sorry it took so long! Here are your fox tips :3
Do vocals! Foxes make a variety of different noises to convey emotion, including yips, barks, squeaks, and whines
Wear gear/get gear if you can! Getting some gear or making some gear (discreetly, if need be) and wearing it is very euphoric in my experience!
Do quads if you can! Foxes are very quick little creatures and often trot, but trotting is very difficult, so stick to walking for a bit. Foxes also jump quite a bit, so try jumping quads, but make sure to always be safe and stretch first! And BEND YOUR ELBOWS
Try eating dried meats to be similar to prey, as foxes are carnivores
Try drawing your theriotypes! Even if you're not very good at art, keep practicing and drawing different poses!
Go exploring in your theriotype's habitat! Go hiking in a forest or near a lake, and try doing quads or vocals, or really any of the things above in the forest, it's very euphoric in my opinion!
Go to your local zoo! My local zoo has some foxes, but I'm not sure if all of them do. Seeing your theriotype in real life is really cool and there are so many interesting things you can learn about them at the zoo as well. Also check out wildlife reserves and national parks!
Research your theriotype! Look into their behavior, vocals, habitats, and diets and things like that! Learning about your theriotypes is surprisingly fun!
Hope this helps!.

Therianthropy Alphabet
credit to @local-xenogender-icon for the alphabet!
A - awakening
I always remember running around pretending to be a deer and always drawing/seeing myself as a deer. I used to push these away when I was older and never thought about it until I realized that therianthropy was a thing and I wasn’t the only one experiencing it. After that I narrowed my theriotype down to a caribou (yes, I know there are subspecies but they’re all very similar so I just say caribou).
B - balance
My therianthropy affects the way I communicate with other people, and my hobbies. It doesn’t affect my work/school/life balance as much, aside from little “quirks” like being afraid of loud noises, being very attached to people, etc
C - city
I don’t live in a city, I live in a rural area, which I’m very grateful for.
D - diary
I do have an alter human diary! It’s mostly just documenting shifts or drawing, and also functions as a regular journal.
E - experience in the community
I’ve had an extremely positive experience in the alterhuman community on Tumblr, and I’m eternally grateful for this because it helped me untangle my therianthropy identity and figure out who I am. Other social media platforms, not so much.
F - friends
None of my friends know I’m a therian, but I have a friend who is a furry who I think suspects.
G - gear
I don’t really feel the need for gear, but I get why people like it. If I had enough money, I might look into buying something, but mostly gear is centered around foxes/wolves/cats, and it would be hard to find caribou gear. I would have to buy a commission which is very expensive.
I - identity
I only have one theriotype, which is a caribou. I’ve yet to meet another caribou, but I have met so many other deer, who have all been super cool!
J - jokes
I love making little jokes about my identity, because it is very silly if you think about it.
K - knowldege
On a scale of 1-10, I would say my knowledge of alterhumanity is a 7 or 8. I still have a lot to learn.
L - liking, loving
I don’t think I could’ve had a “better” theriotype, a caribou is a lovely animal that I am grateful to be.
N - nature
My theriotype lives in northern parts of North America, and in Europe. They are migratory, so they don’t have one specific territory or anything.
O - otherhearted
Tbh I don’t really know the difference between otherhearted and therianthropy but I don’t think I’m otherhearted.
P - popularity
My theriotype isn’t very popular (unless it’s Christmas). Fun fact: in North America, caribou are called reindeer when they’re domesticated, but in Europe, they’re always called reindeer.
R - real body
I get species dysphoria from time to time.
S - sex
I never really thought about the sex of my theriotype? It’s kind of hard to tell really.
T - traits
-fear of loud noises/sudden noise
-foraging for food (gardening mostly)
-head butting things
-communicating with grunts, moving my head, pointing with my feet, or flicking my “ears” (that don’t exist bc phantom shift)
-running/hiking in the woods and swimming
-flight instinct
Urges
I think this question was centered more towards therians with prey drive instincts, because my urges are mostly just to run away, swim in random bodies of water, eat the grass, and restlessness.
W - wondering
Leaving the question here for context: “How do you think you would look like, if you could psychically shapeshift into your therio/kintype? (Describe or put an image here!)”
Tumblr media
Y - yarn
Leaving this question for context too: “If you wanted to buy/make a tail, would it be real fur or fake/yarn fur?”
Caribou don’t have tails…
Z - zoo (as in the place)
I like zoos that are there for protection of a species or rehabilitation. I think there can be a lot of abuse involved, though.

Tips for caninekin
These are just things that have worked for me as a wolfdog, so feel free to suggest things or give feedback!
1. Make a nest indoors. Use pillows, plushes, lots of blankets, and maybe some clothes. Make it comfortable, maybe make it like a “fort” so you can crawl inside, or one you can lie on if you’d prefer. If you don’t want others you live with to know of your alterhuman status, I suggest making a nest late at night, and sleeping in it until morning, then undoing it.
2. Make a den outdoors. The den can involve a nest as well! A forest, a park, a field, a riverbank, maybe even a bench. Wherever feels freeing, and feels like home. If your den is in a forest or field- somewhere private and more wild -make small alterations to suit your tastes. Claw in your initials, make a snow- or moss nest, dig a comfortable pit to lie in, or anything else. If it’s in public and, well, public, spend time there doing more discrete activities if you prefer. Maybe journal about your theriotype, draw yourself, or bring things that remind you of yourself to relax.
3. Dog stuff. You knew it was coming. Collars and chew toys, right? Well, sorta. There are also paw warmers, small accessories, trinkets to put on your backpack instead of collar, a shorter leash to make your keys more noticeable in your bag, and you could sew dog booties into clothes for extra storage. Don’t let yourself be limited to collars and toys; there are a lot more options out there- even if collars and toys are great too.
4. Listen to your theriotypes calls, and replicate them. Be it yipping, howling, snarling, barking, or laughing, replicating the sounds while listening to them can be soothing and make you feel included. If you cannot join in, listening to the noises can be soothing in and of itself, as well.
5. Wear affirming clothes. It can be clothes that somehow involve your species (like a graphic t-shirt), clothes that are the same color as your fur or body, or that just feel like the correct clothing. I tend to like looser clothes that are very neutral, but other may prefer clothes that make them look like themselves more. Patches are also wonderful for clothes and accessories. Choose a pair of old jeans and just go to town with patches, sewing, and painting; it feels great. You can also decorate your bag for school with pins, drawings, and similar items.
6. If you can or want to, do quads! Not only can you walk around like your theriotype, it’s also a shockingly good workout. Just make sure your form is good and you don’t go too fast, as to prevent injury!
7. Yarn tail time! Make an accurate one to your body size if possible, or make a smaller tail to hook onto your backpack.
8. Forage stuff to eat, or to decorate. From edible flowers like dandelions, to wood sorrel, to maybe even mushrooms if you have the knowledge, there are a lot of things you can just eat outside. Eating wild grown foraged items, either on their own or in a salad or similar, feels freeing in a way hard to describe in my experience. You can also gather twigs, pine cones, nuts, and similar items to make things out of, or make your room/den more comfortable!
9. Draw paw prints of your specific theriotype. Try to make it as accurate as possible. Draw it on paper, on your pants, on your palms, or on your shoes- anywhere you like. They are your paws, and it can feel safer when you can visibly see your correct paws type, in my experience.
10. Shake after getting wet. This is also something that’s a-ok to do in public, which I really enjoy. Coming in after it has rained, getting out of the shower, or drying off after swimming in a lake- it feels great!
11. Make treats. No, not necessary dog treats. It can be chunks of shaggily cut bell pepper, pieces of meat to gnaw on, and other treats that don’t feel “human”. It can be the classic “seeds and peanut butter shaped as a dog bone”, or a whole cucumber that your tear apart. Use it as a reward for doing good, or just eat it when you want to.
12. If you like gnawing, get a chew stim toy. It’s less harmful than most other things you could be gnawing on, and works quite well for molars!
13. Claim some territory. It can be your house, or a place in the forest, or your room. Allow only those you want to to come in. Chase out creatures you do not want in. Create a marker along the edges of the territory, for example a specific cloth color tied on trees, if needed.
